Gibson grabbed the coffee container from the cabinet.

He opened it up to see there wasn't enough for a single cup. He groaned, he wasn't about to go out and deal with people just to get more of what he needed. Gibson needed coffee first before dealing with anyone. Somebody else had to go out for coffee. It would've been nice to know they were low before they got there.

He felt a tap on his shoulder and looked to his side. Kaminari stood beside him.

"Papa Gibson, is something wrong?" She asked.

"We're out of coffee." Gibson answered.

"That's too bad," Kaminari replied.

He suddenly got an idea. She was old enough for the task and it would be good in terms of building up her responsibility and independence.

"How do you feel about helping out?"

Her eyes lit up. "Weally?"

He nodded.

"Yep. You're old enough." He started. "I'm going to send you on your first errand. I want you to go out to the store and get me a container of coffee."

She smiled and started bouncing in place.

"Hold on!"

They looked at the kitchen entrance. Chiro was leaning on the doorway.

"She's not going out, Gibson." Chiro continued.

He raised an eyebrow. "I don't see why she can't. She can be trusted with a simple task."

"Oh, no she can be trusted with doing that!" Chiro moved Marino into view. "However, she's having protection with her. If anything happens, Marino will be there to protect her."

Kaminari looked at Marino and her tail wagged. He slightly smirked.

"If it's a requirement, then I will be sure to not disrupt her errand." Marino said.

Gibson looked at Chiro, who nodded. Gibson then looked at Marino.

"Okay, go ahead you two." Gibson granted.

Kaminari's smile became the widest it ever did and she held onto Marino's arm. She dragged him out of the Super Robot as he looked back with a reassuring smile. They could only see it for a second with how fast the little girl sped off. Gibson looked at Chiro, who sighed in relief.

"Let me guess, worried something would happen to her?" He asked, deadpanned.

"Oh yeah, completely," Chiro responded. "I don't want anything happening to her."

"Fair enough."

Kaminari let go of Marino when they stepped outside. She ran ahead while Marino speed walked, staying caught up to her. She made sure she was careful not to bump into anybody. As she went by everyone, they all looked her way in wonder. Marino heard them talk about her, wondering whose child she was and how she was adorable. Kaminari didn't seem to pay any mind to what they said. She kept going on her path without a care in the world.

Marino had forgotten that Kaminari wasn't out in the city like this before. The most in the city she was in was at the park, and even then not many people were there to see her. It was understandable that they were excited and curious. He'd have to make sure none of them disrupted her errand run.

Thankfully the store wasn't too much farther away. She waited for Marino by the entrance. He walked up to her and waited for further action. Kaminari smiled before walking inside. Marino walked beside Kaminari as she went through the aisles. She examined each aisle carefully before going into any of them. Her eyes wandered for anything that resembled the container Gibson had. When she saw something similar, she walked over to it.

Kaminari picked the boxes up and looked at them. She couldn't make out most of the words, she didn't get that far into learning how to read yet. All she could go off on was the images on the box. She looked through each one until she found one that looked exactly like the one they had at home. The only problem was she couldn't reach it. Kaminari stepped back and looked at her surroundings.

She noticed there were a few empty spots on the shelves. However, she decided to keep looking for other options in case there was a better one. Eventually she spotted a step ladder that was next to the drinks section. She picked it up with her arms and tail. It was heavy and she slightly struggled, but she was able to move it to where she needed it to be. Kaminari set it down and climbed on it. She grabbed the box container she saw and got down.

She had a huge smile on her face as she looked to her side. It faded when she realized Marino wasn't next to her anymore. She then saw he was at the counter, waiting for her. She picked the step ladder up once again.

The cashier looked at Marino. "Hello, Sir! How may I help you today?"

He smiled. "I'm afraid I'm the wrong customer to ask that. I'm merely here for protection."

"Huh?" She raised her eyebrow.

She then heard Kaminari grunt and struggle. Kaminari stopped for a moment to pant. She then climbed on top of the step ladder and put the coffee on the counter.

"Oh, I see!" The cashier took the box and scanned it. "I take it this is your first errand run?"

"Yep!" Kaminari's tail swung back and forth. "It's my first time out here besides the park, actually."

"Well aren't you a big girl," she chuckled. "What's your name, sweetie? That would be forty-five credits, by the way."

"Kaminari." She answered as she paid her.

The cashier put the coffee in the bag and handed it to her. She took it from her alongside the change.

"Well, Kaminari, I hope you have a good day! Thanks for shopping here!"

Kaminari waved goodbye as she and Marino left the store. As soon as they stepped out, Marino patted her on the head with a smile. She looked up at him.

"You did very well for your first errand, Kaminari." Marino praised. "I'm proud of you."

The ends of her lips stretched from ear to ear. Her tail turned into a heart shape. Kaminari was exploding with joy on the inside. It was like hearing Antauri say he was proud of her, even if it was from one of her older brothers who happened to be like him.

Kaminari walked ahead while Marino followed behind her. She took her time getting back to the Super Robot unlike before where she was excited to get to the store.

There were stares from people around them just like before. It didn't bother her, in fact she didn't even notice. On the other hand, Marino was becoming uncomfortable with it. He knew they were looking at Kaminari and he was sure they wanted pictures of the youngest Hyperforce child. Their parents were celebrities after all, it made sense why they were acting the way they did. If they weren't on an errand run, they would've been swarmed by people wanting pictures and asking questions.

He snapped out of his uncomfortability when Kaminari tugged on his sleeve. Marino looked at her, who pointed in one direction with her other hand. He looked where she was pointing and he immediately saw what she wanted. A huge teddy bear could be seen through the shop window and he could tell it wasn't a display item. The only thing he couldn't see was the price for it. He looked back at Kaminari. She didn't have to say a word for him to know what she wanted to ask.

"If you have enough credits, you may buy it. You deserve it after this morning." Marino answered her unspoken question.

She ran into the store and went up to it. She looked at the price tag before looking at what money she had left. It seemed to be enough so she grabbed it, bought it, and went back to Marino. It was huge to the point where she couldn't see beyond it. When Marino noticed this, he lifted his finger and the teddy bear floated in the air.

"Thank you, Mawino," she said.

"Of course. You have to see in order to get back, after all." He responded.

After that, there weren't any more interruptions or stops. Kaminari kept her eyes ahead of her while Marino looked at her, seeing how happy she was. They soon returned home and once they walked inside, Marino put the stuffed animal back in her arms. She held onto it tightly with one arm. When she came across Gibson, she handed him the bag. Gibson took the bag from her, but his eyes stayed on the stuffed animal.

"Thank you, dear, but if I may ask… Why do you have that?"

Kami tilted her head to the side to see him. "I had money left over and I wanted this."

"She did excellent with her first errand," Marino added. "It was well deserved."

"In that case, you may carry on." Gibson responded.

Kaminari walked away to her room with joy.

Next time, she was bringing Marino with her again.

A/N: Fun fact! In Japan, it's common for kids as young as three to be sent out for errands. They go by themselves and nobody can help them out. Supposedly it's meant to teach the kids responsibility and independence.

I think it's adorable imagining a little kid running around doing older people stuff like that, but personally I would be too much of a paranoid and overprotective legal guardian to ever send any kid under my care out by themselves, even if it was in Denmark which is the safest country on Earth XD So I figured why not write Kaminari doing that? Plus there'd be a bit of sibling interaction so I had to do it lol since I wanna show how she is with one of her siblings.
