"I'm proud of ya, Aero, hope you know that."
All Aero could do was smile. There was nothing he could appropriately respond to that. Was he supposed to say "thanks Dad" and act happy about it? He didn't know why Sprx told him that anyways. He didn't see why he or anybody else would be proud of him. If he knew everything that lied beneath the surface, he wouldn't be proud of him like he claimed to be now. Aerodynamic couldn't handle the thought of him or anyone else knowing about it, he just couldn't.
Sprx smiled softly at him as he cupped their face. Aero grabbed his hands and held them, moving them down from his face. Sprx lightly squeezed them in return. He then looked to the side door a quick second and slipped his hands away from Aero's. They simply looked at him confused with their smile fading away. It didn't make much sense to them…
…Until Otto suddenly collided with her at full speed.
Both of them hit the ground hard. Otto hugged Aero like there wasn't a tomorrow to be seen. Now he understood why Sprx pulled away, it was so he didn't get dragged with them. Aero was simply speechless at how unexpected that was. Sprx just laughed and his tail wagged.
"Nobody's gonna feel sad in this Super Robot!" Otto said. "And don't deny it, I saw the look in your eyes from a mile away!"
Sprx snickered. "Yeah, that tends to be punishable by hugs. Ya can't escape that one really. Trust me, I tried."
Otto simply hugged tighter. Aero knew she couldn't argue when her dad got like this, so she just hugged back.
Even if Aero couldn't understand right now, she could enjoy this hug.
