When the kids got sick, they were isolated to make sure it didn't spread to the others.

The sick kid rested in the room that would become Kaminari's after she was born. If more than one was sick, then they shared the room. When Kaminari was born, they swapped rooms whenever anyone but her got sick. Needless to say, Kami was happy to sleep next to her siblings when it happened. If all the decuplets got sick at once, they just stayed in their room. Thankfully, that didn't happen too often.

Emerald and Peridot tended to get sick together. They were usually separated to make sure they didn't get each other more sick or have it go back and forth between them. It didn't stop them from cuddling with each other. Everyone stopped trying after a while when they saw that the two got better at the same time when they were together rather than away from one another and their recovery wouldn't be as quick.

It helped that they were asleep most of the time and didn't talk too much when their throats were sore.

Diamond usually laid in bed and read books. She hardly spoke unless she took a drink. Dia would prefer to be in her workroom, but she wasn't going to argue and complain if she had her books. She typically didn't take too long to get better, but there were times she took a while to recover.

The same could be said for Aero, Soma, and Astral as well. They usually relaxed and took it easy, whether they liked it or not. Aero and Astral slept their sicknesses away while Soma watched horror and sci-fi movies and made some art. It was difficult to draw while making sure he didn't sneeze on it.

One would think Marino would stay in bed taking care of himself, but it was the opposite. Marino would try to help out even if he was sick, but whether or not he wore a mask over his face, they would send him straight to bed no matter how much he didn't want to. It took a few attempts for him to give up and stay in the room. If Diamond and Soma weren't sick themselves, they helped in keeping Marino where he was.

They also had to make sure Kaminari didn't get too close to him and stayed for too long. She would frequently try to go in to help Marino and keep him company since she didn't want him to be lonely. He made sure she kept her distance. If she brought him anything, he would quickly but carefully levitate it over. Marino would try to make sure he didn't cough until it was brought over in one piece to prevent it from hitting the floor.

When it came to Kaminari herself, she always felt so terrible she couldn't get out of bed. If she did, she felt like falling over with every step. Everybody tried to take care of the kids regardless of who it was, there was no denying it, but Chiro did a lot more to make sure Kami got better. It didn't matter if it meant he risked getting sick himself, she needed him there with her. Marino tried his best to help out.

Just having them there made Kami feel a lot better and happier.

Jasper gave them some trouble; she tried to make jokes for whoever came in, but she coughed instead and it left her throat more sore than before. She knew she shouldn't push it, but she couldn't defy the need to make someone laugh. The poor girl tried to get better as fast as she could though.

Magma didn't give anybody any trouble whenever he got sick. He just laid there with arms crossed for a majority of the time and angrily grumbled. He hated that he couldn't train or bake. The only thing he noted as an upside was that he didn't deal with Dactyle if they weren't sick with him and Jasper's pranks.

While everyone had varying times of when they'd get better, there was one who had it the worst.

Hermodactyloides.

Whenever they got sick, they didn't stop talking. They always had a sore throat and they made it worse every time ever since they were twelve. Everyone who tried to help Dactyle get better never knew why they talked when they shouldn't. Their siblings were just as baffled, though Magma thought they just wanted to be annoying while they were sick while Diamond had an idea as to why. She never said what though.

They always had tea close by because of how much they talked. Everyone tried to convince them to stop just for the time being. It never worked to say the least.

"If you stop talking for a while, you'll get better faster." Antauri said.

Dactyle took their medicine and huffed. "No! Give me my voice or give me death!"

They started hacking like their lungs were about to come out through their mouth. Chiro gently pushed them back onto the bed.

"It's not like you'll stop talking forever, Dactyle. Do you wanna at least tell us why you're so persistent on talking?"

Dactyle took a moment.

"…No."

Antauri and Chiro looked at each other before sighing in defeat. The two did what they could to help Dactyle get better.

Magma sometimes came in to see how they were doing, but did so as little as possible and without the others seeing him do that too much. Everyone knew how much he cared about Dactyle though so his attempts were basically futile. Emerald and Peridot thought it was cute. Dactyle appreciated every second of anyone's visit over the course of the week whenever they got sick.

When the kids weren't sick anymore, it was very likely that Chiro, Nova, Gibson, Otto, or Sprx got sick after spending however much time with them making sure they got better. Regardless of who got sick after taking care of the kids, Antauri took care of the others. The kids try to help out whenever they could when their parents got sick.

Thankfully most of the kids didn't get sick too often.
