So I've been sitting on this for a while, and I'm finally going to upload it now that I've started my other fanfictions lol!

This OC's name is Naoko Kakyoin, and she's Noriaki Kakyoin's twin sister. Her Stand is named after the Minor Tarot card, Ace of Wands. (Ace won't be named til she meets Avdol, though, and the twins refer to their Stands as guardian spirits before Naoko learns the term Stand from Jotaro and Noriaki)

It's a nature-based Stand that can make herself into vines (like Hierophant Green) to do recon or restrain people. The vines can pick up vibrations and get a picture of what's going in, like Toph from Avatar Last Airbender. Not an incredibly clear picture, but enough to get a decent feel of what's going on.

Any questions, just ask!

Hope you guys like her!

God Bless and Good Day!

~The Lupine Sojourner!

One of the things I always know is what's on my brother's mind.

Noriaki has always been an open book to me, even when he didn't want to be.

When we started seeing our guardian spirits, as we called them, we grew even closer through the mutual experience. From then on, we could practically read each other's thoughts and could guess (usually fairly accurately) what the other is feeling.

Call it a twin's psychic connection, call us crazy, call it whatever you want, but it's true!

So...why can't I read him lately?

Recently, Noriaki's been...distant. I can hardly read him anymore. He seemed fine on the trip to Egypt, but since we got home it feels like something is slowly draining from him and I don't know what's wrong.

For the first time in our shared lives...we aren't on the same page.

So I tread a little lighter around him, hoping whatever is troubling him would either go away or get fixed.

But it's only gotten worse.

I try asking him what's wrong, but he just snaps at me to leave him alone.

Once, when I got mad and kept pushing him, he even brought out his guardian spirit and threatened me with him!

From that moment on, about a week ago, I've hardly spoken to him, which is driving me insane! I miss him, even if he's standing beside me.

He'd left a little bit ago to head to school early, said something about maybe painting real quick.

I wonder what he's painting this time. He likes painting scenery usually. It always turns out amazing.

Hope he'll let me see it. He's been so secretive lately…

Oh, there he is!

"Hey, Noriaki!" I call, jogging up to- -What the hell?!

He's painted some random guy, and then slashed the painting's leg with red paint!

I hear a cry and sprint for the stairs. I see the man from Noriaki's painting falling down the stairs, his leg slashed right where Noriaki 'slashed' the painting with red paint!

"What the hell?!" I growl, going carefully but quickly down the steep stairs and managing to send my guardian spirit down to- - hold on…

I know my guardian spirit couldn't have done anything. I just called her out!

...So how in the hell did that branch just- -is that a hand? Does that guy have a guardian spirit, too? Seems like it! I've never known anyone else that has a guardian spirit!

Interesting...so what was Noriaki doing, cutting him like that?

Ergh! I wish he'd talk to me, damnit! None of this is making sense!

"Are you ok?" I ask the guy as I reach the bottom of the stairs, calling my guardian spirit back.

This dude is huge! Easily as tall as Noriaki, if not taller! Plus, his body is built like a tank! So burly and strong! His face does nothing to dissuade me of the strong silent type impression, either, focused and annoyed, maybe a bit confused.

All in all, I get the feeling this guy is no one to mess with.

He's kinda intimidating, really. And if he does have a guardian spirit...I shudder to think of how effective he'd be in a fight.

He slowly stands, gritting his teeth.

Suddenly, there's a crowd of school girls coming down the stairs and swarming around the tall guy, babbling inanely and fretting over him, who seems like he couldn't care less and ignores them.

I then notice that he wears our school uniform, but altered with the coat opened and a large chain dangling from his left collar down his left side. And there's a strange hat on his head. It almost seems to...fuse with his hair, if that were possible. Or maybe he just altered it to make it look like that for some reason. Either way, there are a few pins on it, a simple gold disk and a gold rectangle with a hand on it.

He doesn't seem to notice I'd asked him a question, so I stay quiet, examining his leg from where I stand as he dusts himself off. It looks pretty bad, but it wasn't anything too serious.

Was Nori just...testing this guy? Did Nori want to see if this guy has a guardian spirit like we do? If so, there are plenty of other ways to find that out...right?

Those annoying girls are still swarming him, pestering him with their nonstop chatter, so I can't get a word in edgewise even if I knew where to start.

Apparently, his name is Jojo, which I'm assuming is short for something, but I don't care to ask the girls what his full name is and I'm not brave enough to ask 'Jojo' himself.

I walk over. "Excuse me?" I ask, louder. That manages to get this 'Jojo''s attention. "Are you ok?" I repeat.

"I'll be fine." He grunts, turning away when he hears someone walking down the steps.

I look and see Noriaki walking down, his school briefcase in his hand and a white scarf I didn't notice him leave the house with draped over his shoulders and wrapped around his right arm. His eyes are looking 'Jojo' over coolly, without a hint of real concern.

That's odd. Where'd that painting go? He wouldn't just leave it up there for anyone to see, right?

"Here." Noriaki offers, holding out his handkerchief to the man he'd cut. "Your leg seems to be cut. You might want to wrap it in this handkerchief to help stop the bleeding." Jojo frowns, eyeing my brother warily. "You gonna be ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a scratch." Jojo seems irritated to be asked that so many times, but he accepts the handkerchief.

I frown.

What is this about? Noriaki cuts the guy's leg, but then gives him a handkerchief to help stop the bleeding?

Noriaki looks at me and nods in the direction of school, so I gulp down my burning questions and follow him.

I want to find out what's going on, but asking rapid-fire questions is a sure-fire way to crush any chance of getting information out of Noriaki and piss him off.

I've learned that the hard way recently.

"Hold it." Jojo's deep voice is so intimidating, I freeze in my tracks and turn practically in sync with Noriaki. What did Jojo want? "Forgot to say 'thanks'." Is all he says. "Haven't seen you two around. You go to our school?"

"Yes, I'm Noriaki Kakyoin, and this is Naoko, my sister." Noriaki replies, then puts a hand on my shoulder, turns us around, and keeps us walking. "See yah around." He calls over his shoulder. "C'mon. We're going to be late if we don't hurry."

"...Ok." For now, it seems Noriaki is being...kinda nice, so I accept it and refuse to break this...whatever it is.

We walk into school and Noriaki stops short, glancing down at me. "Naoko?"

I look up at him. Despite being his twin, I'm about a head shorter than him. "Yeah?"

"Can you take notes for me? I think breakfast is disagreeing with me. I need to go to the bathroom."

I frown. "Uh...s-sure. Hope you feel better." I mumble, managing a smile.

Of course, I still loved him and would do a lot of things to help him, but lately, with whatever is happening with Noriaki...I almost hesitate when he asks me to do something.

When I keep walking, I take note of the direction Noriaki headed.

It's not toward the bathroom. It's toward the entrance...

I clench my jaw. I'm never gonna be able to help Noriaki through whatever this is if I don't get more information.

Luckily, my guardian spirit is great for this very situation!

So I walk into the classroom. Since I happen to have a seat at the back of the room, I could focus on what my guardian spirit is finding rather than class. Much as I dislike being this rude, I need to help Noriaki.

My guardian spirit comes out and starts making herself into vines, sending them around the school to find my brother.

The advantage to using my guardian spirit's vines is I can see Noriaki's guardian spirit if he has it on our, plus I can see rough silhouettes of people in each room I search.

Maybe I can finally confirm whether or not Jojo has a guardian spirit like ours...

The blurred images and vibrations start when I close my eyes, as always. The vines creep around the classrooms, the vibrations offering a glimpse inside as they search for Noriaki.

Surprisingly, the vines find him on the ground below the nurse's office. Curious, I have my guardian spirit guide the vines up into the office. They peek inside to find two boys on the cots freaking out, the nurse swinging something before- -

Holy shit ! The nurse just stabbed something into that guy's eye!

My guardian spirit sends the vines further into the room, and- -Jojo? That silhouette looks familiar…freakishly tall, weird hat... huge shoulders? Yeah that's more than likely Jojo, or whatever his full name is.

What's he- -oh. Right. His leg was cut.

I look around again and notice Noriaki is now sitting in the window sill, presumably talking to Jojo.

It's then I see the telltale tentacles of Noriaki's guardian spirit, peeking out from the nurse and dragging along the floor a bit as she attacks Jotaro.

I decide enough is enough and raise my hand, calling my guardian spirit back and trying to contain my troubled expression.

I have to find out what's happening for myself.

"And that is why- -Yes, Ms. Kakyoin?" The teacher asks.

"Can I use the restroom?" I ask. Typically, this teacher understood that when you gotta go, you gotta go, and this instance is no exception.

"Hurry back." The teacher mumbles airily before he turns back to the board.

I have to seriously contain myself from sprinting out of the room, but manage to wait til I'm out of the classroom. Then it's an all-out sprint for the nurse's office.

By the time I get there, I don't hear much of anything, so I crack the door open just enough to see inside.

My eyes go wide in shock.

Jojo's guardian spirit (or, I'm assuming it's Jojo's guardian spirit. I have no other explanation for the figure I'm seeing) has Noriaki's guardian spirit by the head and is threatening to crush it!

I was right about his guardian spirit being formidable! It's almost more muscular than Jojo, which is saying something!

"I'm gonna keep a tight grip on you for now. We're gonna pay my gramps a little visit. I'm sure he'd love to meet you, and I want to know more about Dio myself." Jojo is saying. I frown. What is Jojo talking about?

He wants his grandad to meet Noriaki? Why? Is it about who-or what-ever Dio is?

Normally, if Noriaki chose to attack someone, I'd assume he has a reason and would've already jumped to Noriaki's defense, but now, I'm not sure what to think.

Noriaki's been acting really odd lately, and it's harder to gauge what's going through his head. Can't believe I'm thinking that…much less staying here while my brother's head is about to be caved in. For now, I'll tail them and see if I can-

"Hey you! Behind the door!" I hear Jojo snap and I snap back to reality, trying to hold in a gasp of shock. How did he know?! "Come out right now, or you'll regret it!"

I wanted to observe more before I decide what I'm doing, but it looks like I don't have a choice...

"Ok, I know what this looks like, but I'm not here to fight, I swear." I reply, trying to buy time as I slowly open the door all the way, then put my hands up as I walk into the room.

"Yeah? I don't buy it." Jojo growls.

"What're you doing?" Noriaki grits out, then groans as Jojo's guardian spirit squeezes Noriaki's guardian spirit's head.

"Quiet!" Jojo barks.

"I swear it's the truth!" I squeak, eyes only on my brother, moving a little closer subconsciously. "Look, j-just let go of Noriaki and we can talk this out, alright?"

"You're his sister, aren't you?" Jojo asks. I nod slowly. "Then not a chance! You want me to release your brother? Then come with me. Gramps'll probably want to meet you, too."

"Hold on a minute! We're not going anywhere, especially not with you !" I growl. Hell no we're not talking to some random man Jojo wants us to talk to! Who knows what this 'gramps' would even want with us?!

Jojo's guardian spirit smacks Noriaki's guardian spirit into the ground, causing Noriaki to grunt and a bruise to form on his cheek as he falls over.

Before I can react to that, though, the guardian spirit is throwing a punch at me, and I scramble backward, calling on my guardian spirit to deflect the blow with the staff she holds.

"What?!" I hear Jojo growl, eyes wide in surprise, then his eyes harden. "Of course she has a Stand, too. They're siblings."

I raise a brow. So he has the habit of thinking out loud sometimes, too. Huh.

"I don't know why my brother attacked you, or why he is acting so weird, I swear," I call my guardian spirit back and put my hands up to show Jojo I didn't mean him harm. "I'm not here to fight." I repeat. "I'm just here to get my brother and go back to class."

Jojo's eyes narrow. "What do you know about Dio, then?" He demands and I know he expects nothing less than everything I know.

I just hope he understands I truly know nothing. "Nothing. Believe it or not, I'd never even heard of you or 'Dio' before today. I'm just trying to understand what's happening with my brother."

"Bullshit." Jojo growls.

"Believe it! Noriaki's not been acting himself lately and I'm trying to figure out why." I lick my lips. Noriaki is still in danger. How do I convince Jotaro that I don't know anything and to release Noriaki?!

Just then, I notice Noriaki's guardian spirit powering up his attack behind Jojo's back.

Jojo notices too and grimaces. "Dammit I got distracted! What the hell?! What's that green liquid coming out of his Stand's hand?!" Jojo demands, whirling around.

"'Stand'?" I ask myself, confused. That's the second time he used that term. Is he talking about our guardian spirits? If so, why is he calling it a 'Stand'?

Noriaki's face hardens as his guardian spirit finishes preparing the attack. "You should have listened, Jojo." He growls. "I told you you were gonna regret this, didn't I?"

"Noriaki, stop! Let's talk about this!" I snap.

"Go back to class and let me finish this, Naoko!" Noriaki snaps, turning his head to glare at me. By now, the emerald attack of my brother's guardian spirit is very close to ready. "Pay attention, Jotaro!" Noriaki calls tauntingly, refocusing on his opponent. "This is the attack of my Stand, Hierophant Green!"

There it is again. 'Stand'. How would my brother know that term for our guardian spirits? And...Noriaki's named his guardian spirit? When? I'm so confused...

"No weird moves, Kakyoin, either of you!" Jotaro demands harshly, but Noriaki just smirks.

"Emerald Splash!"

Jojo and his guardian spirit brace as the emeralds fly and land a direct hit on the chest of Jojo's guardian spirit.

Jojo goes flying back into the wall, crashing through the door and laying there.

Poor Jojo– -Or…wait, didn't Noriaki call him 'Jotaro'? Is that his actual name? How could Noriaki even know that? We only just met the guy today, for Pete's sake! Regardless, I do feel bad for him ...no one can deflect that attack. Hope he's not too hurt.

"C'mon Noriaki! We gotta go before someone sees us and we get in trouble!" If anyone knew we were the ones that attacked the nurse and Jotaro...we'd be in some serious trouble.

"I'm not done." Noriaki growls dangerously, then walks over to Jotaro with a wooden puppet I just now notice in his hand.

"What's with that thing?" I ask, pointing to it, but Noriaki straight up ignores me.

"So, what do you think?" He asks tauntingly. "Did you like Emerald Splash?" He smirks. "That green liquid you saw in Hierophant Green was a surge of destructive energy. It tore straight through your Stand's chest and your insides have been torn to shreds."

"There's a chance you could heal if you get to a hospital." I point out. After attacking me and refusing to listen to me, I'm not inclined to heal him. "I'm sorry, Jojo." I then look at my brother, letting my confusion show. "Nori, how do you know your guardian spirit's name? How do you know Jojo's name? And why did you call your guardian spirit a 'Stand'?" I ask in a rush, forgetting that too many questions at once make Noriaki mad and shut him down.

I notice Jotaro trying to get up, but I figured he wouldn't be able to after a direct hit from Emerald Splash. I feel bad for how hurt Jotaro is, but we have to leave before anything worse happens. Besides, there isn't time to drag him outside so I could help him.

"I picked the term 'Stand' up from Jotaro, the crowd of girls called him 'Jotaro' a few times, and I've been thinking about the name for a while, now be quiet or return to class, but stay out of this." Noriaki replies coldly, bringing my attention back to him.

I take a step forward. He's lying, I know it! Those girls never said Jotaro, for one thing. And for another, I somehow doubt he picked up the term Stand from Jotaro. "Why are you being like this, Nori?" I growl. "I don't know what's going on with you, but- -what the hell?!"

The nurse collapses, bleeding profusely from inside.

"Ah yes, the nurse." Noriaki murmurs, sounding unconcerned.

Jotaro probably tore Hierophant Green out forcefully. Eesh. Poor woman...

"Why?!" Jotaro demands, eyes wide as he takes in the amount of blood she'd lost. "I know I took that Stand out of her!" Jotaro then glares at me. "Was this you?!"

I blink, taken aback. "You think I did this?!" I snap. "Good Lord, no!"

"Then how?!"

"I told you already," Noriaki cuts in, "but let me reiterate. I tried to warn you that by attacking my Hierophant Green, you'd be hurting her too. My Stand can travel further than yours, but it dislikes open spaces without exception."

Mine's a little different; she would rather not be out too long, especially if there are no plants around, but is generally fine with open spaces.

"It prefers to hide within something." Noriaki continues. "If you drag it out, it gets angry." I swallow. Why is he being so cold and intimidating? Typically, Noriaki and I just kept to ourselves. It's unlike him to go this far! "That's why, when you ripped it out of her throat, it hurt her along the way."

I grimace. "It scraped her throat pretty bad, but she should recover quickly as long as she gets medical care soon." I point out.

I hate that she got dragged into this and for no apparent reason. Why would Noriaki put 'Hierophant Green' (where'd he even get that name? And where can I find a name for my guardian spirit-Stand-whatever?) into that woman? He's always used his guardian spirit (Stand?) as little as possible, preferring to simply not interact with a lot of people and avoid trouble.

He never used it on people without a reason, especially not the possession aspect of it. He always said it made him feel like a villain…

Noriaki points a finger at Jotaro, bringing me back to reality. "You're the one who did this to her! This is entirely your fault, Jojo! You must be held responsible! Look at what you've done! All you had to do is let me kill you and she would've walked away unharmed."

That sends chills down my spine, but I turn to Noriaki. "Now hold on! You chose to put Hierophant Green or whatever you call it into that woman! You hold the blame, not Jotaro!" I growl. "There was no need to drag her into this! Now let's go!"

"So you are working together." Jotaro suddenly growls, and we both turn to look at him. I hadn't noticed him actually standing up, but there he was!

"No we're- -gah !"

He moves and all of a sudden, a large hand smashes into my chest and I go flying backward into a support pillar, crunching the wind out of my lungs and probably bruising a few ribs. Wheezing, I collapse to the ground, unable to get up or catch my breath.

Black spots dance in my vision and there's a ringing in my ears.

I can hear Jotaro and Noriaki fighting as though I was underwater, but I can't move to get up or do anything.

By the time I'm finally recovered enough to move, there's a powerful shockwave through the entire building and I barely hear glass shattering.

I sit up groggily and hold my head. It's killing me!

"You caught me by surprise earlier, scratched his chest a little." Jotaro is musing and I look over to see-

"Noriaki!" I exclaim, running over. He's bleeding all over! I glare over my shoulder. "What did you do?!" I bark, uncaring that Noriaki attacked him and I still don't know why. I just know my brother is losing a lot of blood and it's Jotaro's fault.

"I'm glad my Stand isn't a weak one, but...sometimes, it feels like it can get more savage than I am." Jotaro replies, not really seeming too upset by Noriaki's condition.

"Is that your way of apologizing?!" I growl. "You could've killed him!"

"He had every intention of killing me. In fact, it was a close call." Jotaro points out, shrugging. "Now, let's go."

I frown. "What?"

"I told you before; Gramps will want to meet you both."

"No way! Only place I'm going is to the hospital with Noriaki!" I doubt my guardian spirit-or Stand, I guess-can handle something this bad, but I don't know...maybe it could.

No way I'm letting Jotaro know anymore about my Stand than he already does, though.

My Stand can heal things like minor scrapes and bruises easily, without even using my life energy, but...I've never tried to use it for something this bad before…

"No. He should be fine once his wounds are treated, so I'll talk to Gramps about taking him to the hospital and keeping an eye on him there after we talk to him, but- -"

"So you don't care that he could die?!" I bark.

Jotaro has been walking closer as we talk, and now his muscled purple Stand's hand grabs my arm and pulls me away from Noriaki, holding me back as Jotaro picks him up, laying him over his shoulder.

I pull against the hand despite the pain in my chest. "Let him go! I need to get him to the- -"

"You want your brother to live, yeah?" Jotaro cuts over me, his Stand squeezing my arm painfully.

"...Have I not made that clear?" I growl sarcastically, tugging again at the iron grip on my arm.

"Then stop bitching and let's talk to the old man!"

I notice the alarm is going off and there are people coming. Jotaro turns to the window.

"I…" I gulp, eyes wide as a realization dawns.

Resistance is futile, isn't it? If Jotaro beat Noriaki this bad in the time it took for me to get up from being smacked into the wall...my Stand wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell.

"Let's leave the cleanup to them. I've had enough school for one day." Jotaro murmurs, probably more to himself than me, eyeing the doorway as several voices, all confused and overlapping, reach our ears over the alarm. "I wanna know everything you two know about Dio." He adds, glaring over his shoulder at me.

His Stand, now fully visible (a very tall, burly humanoid figure with multicolored, but mostly purple, skin, shoulder guards, black finger-tip-less gloves with studs on the knuckles and decorating the back of the hand, some kind of crown, and a loincloth), drags me to the window sill Noriaki had come in through and over it to the ground.

Luckily, it isn't far at all, but still.

"Ow!" I hiss as I land awkwardly. "You can have your, uh, Stand let go of me now. I get it. I can't run." I murmur.

Jotaro turns to me as his Stand dissipates. "No, you can't. You're gonna tell me-"

"I don't know shit about Dio! Why is that so hard to grasp?!" I snarl. I'm getting sick of being treated like a villain he'd captured or a hostage he'd taken, regardless of the power he had and the steps he'd already taken to make the hostage situation a reality.

"Hmph. We'll see." With that, he just walks off, his Stand acting like a second head, watching me, so I sigh heavily and jog after them.

This guy's intense!

=#=#=#=#=

It takes an awkwardly silent ten minutes or so of walking to get to Jotaro's house.

When we get there, Jotaro pauses for a moment to take his shoes off, so I awkwardly follow suit.

Not that I didn't know to take off my shoes when entering a house, but it's just...Jotaro seemed in such a rush to talk to his 'Gramps', I didn't think he'd take the time to observe societal rules like taking off shoes.

Jotaro even takes the time to take Noriaki's shoes off, which I find interesting, but don't dare comment on it.

I feel like I'm walking beside a bomb, and the slightest wrong move will make it explode...Jotaro isn't messing around. But I can't say I blame him after Noriaki tried to kill him…

We walk along the wooden paths, Jotaro peering into each room we pass before finally I hear a woman pick something up.

"I just had the most amazing connection with my son just now! Jotaro must be thinking about me at school this very second!" Is that...Jotaro's mother? She sounds so gentle and nice!

...Not at all what I was expecting.

I peek around Jotaro and my brother, seeing a lovely blonde woman wearing a pink and white striped shirt, a brown skirt, and an apron.

"I'm not thinking about you." Jotaro replies tersely by way of greeting.

I flinch.

If I spoke to my mom like that, especially in front of Dad, I'd be in for it.

I know better than to piss Jotaro off by mentioning it out loud though, so I just stand there, feeling very much out of place.

This is so awkward…

The woman, Jotaro's mom apparently, screams and drops the picture she'd been holding. "Jotaro!" She squeaks, whirling around. "Why aren't you at school?" She asks, walking over. Jotaro's got her eyes… I note absently. Must've gotten his crappy attitude from his dad, though. "And who is that boy on your shoulder? Is that... blood he's covered in? Please don't tell me you did- -oh. Hello." She says, finally taking notice of me. I flush scarlet and manage a tiny wave.

"H-hi, ma'am. Um...nice to meet you. There was an accident- -"

"Oh dear! Let me get the first aid kit."

I blink. That sounds great! I just want to stay for a minute and get me and Noriaki's injuries looked at...this woman seems so nice!

"You can do that later. C'mon, Kakyoin! Gotta find the old man. Finding someone in this big house sucks." Jotaro is already walking away, glaring at me over his free shoulder.

"Do you want to come in and have some water?" Jotaro's mother offers when my legs refuse to move.

My feet almost carry me into the room.

This woman seems so nice! I desperately want to just take a break from Jotaro and this whole mess...

"Get over here, will yah?!" Jotaro barks.

Startled into action, I squeak and sprint over to Jotaro. "S-sorry!" I call over my shoulder at my rude exit.

"What was that? Tryna get out of this?" Jotaro growls.

"N-no! I just...this is all so confusing, I got a bit overwhelmed!" I admit, feeling overwhelmed.

Does this guy ever calm down?!

"I think you can find your grandfather with Avdol right now. They're both in the tea room." Jotaro's mom calls after us.

We walk to another wing of the house before Jotaro suddenly turns around to look at his mom.

"Hey. You're looking a little bit pale this morning. You alright?" He asks.

Aww, that's nice of him to be concerned. I must've misread their dynamic at first, that's all. He seemed so cold to her, but…

"Yay! I'm fine! Thank you!" His mom replies, jumping up before holding up two fingers and beaming.

...Is concern from Jotaro that rare? Maybe my initial assessment was wrong...

"She seems...nice." I mumble before I can think better of the idea as we resume walking.

"Are you always so damn nosy?" Jotaro growls and I nearly cry, blinking back a few tears.

This is all too much! My brother acting strange these part months has been bad enough, but now there's another person with a Stand? I can hardly wrap my brain around it!

Not that I've been given a chance to…

And that's not even mentioning the fact that apparently what I used to call my guardian spirit is actually called a Stand. I don't even know if that's true and I don't want to piss Jotaro off even more by asking. Can I just sit and have this all explained to me? I don't understand what's going on at all...

Jotaro soon opens a door and I see two men inside, the older man clearly American, the other man African. They look up from enjoying their tea as we walk in.

"Jotaro?" The older man asks, setting his cup down, his eyes narrowing. "What is this? What's going on?"

"We need to talk." Jotaro replies shortly, starting to just flop Noriaki on the floor. Somehow, I manage to catch him.

"Are you serious?!" I growl, laying my brother down and glaring at Jotaro before remembering where I am. I look slowly up from Noriaki to the men before us. "...Hi."

"..." The older men just stare at me in confusion and I start to squirm a bit.

The older man suddenly turns a glare on Jotaro. "Jotaro, why are these two here? Why are these kids beaten up and why is this girl so frightened?!"

I blink, scooting back a bit on all fours instinctively.

"Her brother attacked me, and I assumed she wanted me dead, too, so I taught her a lesson. Her brother mentioned swearing allegiance to Dio and has a powerful Stand."

"That doesn't explain the girl." The man growls back, then finally looks back at me. "You alright?"

I can only nod.

Finally, someone that doesn't want to attack me! Though Jotaro is intense and overwhelming, his family seems to be really nice. Or, at least...a little less intense.

"Y-yeah, I'm- -"

"She's a Stand user, too." Jotaro interrupts, glaring at me, "Claims to know nothing about Dio or why her brother attacked me, though."

"Naoko." I murmur, fiddling with my fingers. I'm tired of no one using my name though I'm right here and they're talking about me. "My name's Naoko Kakyoin. This is my brother, Noriaki."

"Pleasure." The older man replies, then jerks a thumb toward his chest. "I'm Joseph Joestar, Jotaro's grandfather." He then gestures to the other man. "And this is my friend, Muhammad Avdol."

I nod to both of them. "Nice to meet you." So this is the 'gramps' Jotaro was talking about?

"How did you meet Jotaro?" Mr. Joestar asks.

"Well, to be honest, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time." I begin, taking a deep breath and grabbing Noriaki's hand to avoid getting overwhelmed again. "For a few months now, Noriaki's been acting unusual. Cold, distant, almost cruel. He never really talked to me, which is really weird. We're twins, so normally we're really close, but not lately. Today, he left for school a little early, and I found him using his Stand to cut Jotaro's leg. I didn't know why, and knew that Noriaki wouldn't tell me if I asked, so we went to school. Noriaki skipped class with some lame excuse, so I used my Stand to- -"

"You know the term 'Stand'?" Avdol interjects, looking at me curiously.

I nod. "Picked it up from Jotaro and my brother, who shouldn't have known it. Anyway, I found my brother using his Stand to control the school nurse and attack the others in the nurse's office, so I went to find out what was going on. Jotaro assumed I was Noriaki's backup and attacked me. I brought out my Stand to defend myself, and- -"

"We don't have time for this!" Jotaro growls, stepping toward me before I can reply. "I know she knows about Dio!"

The way he said it makes my heart skip a beat in fear and I back away from him. "I told you I don't know anything! You gotta believe me!" I reply desperately, hand up in fear he'd try to hit me again.

"Stop, Jotaro! That's enough! I believe her!" Mr. Joestar growls, suddenly standing between Jotaro and I. He's pretty fast for his age... "The poor girl doesn't know anything, which is curious, considering all I know so far about Dio..." he looks at me as he turns and crouches down, leaning toward me a little. "You said your brother started acting strange a few months ago, right?"

I nod, sitting up straighter and feeling myself calm down a bit. "Y-yeah. He never told me what was wrong, though." I explain.

"And he had never mentioned Dio before today?" Mr. Joestar asks.

"No, never. Before today, we both called our Stands 'guardian spirits', and Noriaki didn't have a name for his Stand, but now he calls it Hierophant Green and even named its attack. I just…" Crap...when did these tears get here?! "I just want my brother back."

Mr. Joestar gently puts his hand on my shoulder. "I'm so sorry to have to tell you this, but...I don't know if you're going to get him back."

I pale, scrambling away from Mr. Joestar and returning to Noriaki. "What?! What're you talking about?!"

"I'm truly sorry. I don't know how else to say this, but...it's too late for him."

"No! You're lying! What's wrong with him?!" I demand, tears still dripping down my face.

"I wish I was lying, Naoko, but I know why he pledged himself to Dio and tried to kill Jotaro. I also know why he's been acting strange lately. Given all you've told me- -"

"What's going to happen to my brother?!" I interrupt, now feeling angry and confused. "Just get to the point already!"

Mr. Joestar sighs, eyes sad as he looks between Noriaki and I. "Naoko, I know you're new to all this and I'm sorry you have to find out this way, but... there's no way he'll make it. He has a few days before he dies at most."

"Stoppit! Just stop!" I scream, hands shaking as I point out Noriaki's wounds. "He's not dying! His wounds aren't fatal! He just needs a hospital, that's...that's all. He'll- -he'll be fine...won't he?" A few tears splash onto Noriaki's jacket. The weight of Mr. Joestar's words crashes onto my shoulders, and I sink to the floor.

What is going on?!

"Naoko, please let me explain." Mr. Joestar says slowly and gently. At my shaky nod, he beckons me to look at something and I slowly obey, keeping a little distance from Jotaro, who Mr. Joestar also waves over. "This is why you've been noticing strange behavior in your brother. This is also how I know he won't last long." He heaves a sigh. "It isn't anyone's fault." He lifts up Noriaki's hair, just enough to part his hairline.

There, right above his hairline, which is always hidden by his bangs, is...is…

What is that thing?!

It looks like...like a tiny alien or something!
