Sakura was anxious, Naruto and Yamato had suddenly disappeared in a blinding light. She had wanted to go after her teammate but Sai stopped her. "Why did you that?!" she snapped in anger. "It would do us no good if we all were to go missing," came the reply. "It doesn't matter. He's my teammate, we're supposed to stick together," she shot back. "Naruto is with Yamato and you're with me. We're all teammates so what's the problem?" he said. She stared at him. "It's not the same with you. I've been with Naruto since forever. It's different when I'm with you. We became a team just yesterday," she replied with a frown. "If I remember correctly, it's been almost four months since we became a team," he spoke. "Same thing," she said. She looked around the area. They were in the thousand-year old city ruins, the city of Roran. From what she observed from the ruins, the city had been formerly a beauty. The towers were tall and majestic but otherwise in poor condition.

She sighed. She didn't like the thought of separating with Naruto, even Yamato. Sai was emotionally clueless. Having a conversation with him was kinda straining. It wasn't his fault though. Root made him that. She sighed again. "What's the matter, Ugly?" he asked. Her eyebrow twitched in annoyance. "I'm gonna take a walk around, let's regroup here in an hour," she told him. "Are you sure it's safe to split up?" he asked her. "As long we're in the same area, there's no issue. We just have to make sure to be in contact with each other," she explained. "How?" She pondered for a moment. "Make an ink rat or something. I'll walk around with it," she replied. He nodded. He took out his scroll and drew on it then the creature came to life. It was a small bird, it looked more realistic than of his other ink creatures. "This one is long lasting and doesn't disintegrate as easily as my other drawings. I can also use it to track you and vice versa. It increases in size whenever need arises. Just channel chakra to it with the Ram handsign, it'll do the rest," he explained as the bird flew and rested on her shoulder. She petted it and it cooed in return. It was useful, very useful if she ever got in danger. "Thanks Sai, that was very thoughtful of you," she said with a smile. Sai stared at her and blinked sluggishly. "You look pretty when you smile Ugly," he stated with one of his fake smiles. He made an effort for it to look real though. "You can't use the words 'pretty' and 'ugly' in the same sentence," she said as she facepalmed.

The two split and she took the west side whilst Sai took the east side. She walked aimlessly, admiring the beauty of the artefacts there. She went back to where Naruto and Yamato had disappeared. The place looked like it had been on the receiving end of Lady Tsunade's fist. It seemed to be a very special room from what she could pick out. She went to the centre which had been covered by a large part of the ceiling. Using her chakra laden hands, she lifted the ceiling and threw it to the side revealing part of an all too familiar seal. "This is the Regenerative Healing Jutsu seal," she breathed out. She moved the debris around her finally revealing the seal fully. 'But what's it doing here? Was it a medical room of sorts?' she thought. "I wonder if it works," she spoke as she took out her chakra blade. It was long, resembling a kunai but without the ring at the end. She chanelled chakra to it and slashed it across her left forearm, biting down the pain. She put away the blade then activated her medical chakra. 'Here goes nothing,' she thought as she placed her hand on the seal. The last thing she remembered was berating herself for being stupid to activate an unfamiliar seal despite it being familiar before she felt she was sucked through space and time.

She woke up with a pounding head and a severe case of nausea. 'I feel like I had a hangover,' she thought with a groan. Her chakra reserves were depleted, there was barely enough for her to be conscious, not even to heal a paper cut. She stood up with a groan. She was alone and in a different room, it was like a bedroom. "This room probably hasn't been used in a decade or so," she thought out loud as she eyed the dust covering the bed and furniture. She placed a hand on her waist as she pondered what to do next. She was in an unfamiliar territory, half of her team had disappeared to God knows where and her other teammate was somewhere in the ruins. He had warned her not to separate but she had been stubborn. Something felt off, her clothes weren't this soft, she thought as she felt her waist, and the room was a bit chilly. She stared down at herself to find herself butt naked. She screamed.

"Oh God, this is bad! Where are my clothes?" she panicked as she drastically searched around the room for something, anything to wear. She was very insecure about her body, even when alone. Suddenly, four chakra signatures were approaching her room, one of them vaguely familiar. "Shit! They must've heard me," she cursed as they got closer. She found what looked to be a dress, or a robe, she couldn't tell because it was shapeless. It was brown and contrasted strongly against her pink hair, Ino would laugh at her terrible fashion taste if she saw her now but that was besides the point. She threw it on and it ended just below her ankles. At that moment, four figures materialized in the room.

She'd recognize Chouji and Shino's dad's anywhere. A younger looking Choza and Shibi were standing before her. Beside them was a younger looking Kakashi- 'Is that Kakashi-sensei?! He looks so young!' she exclaimed mentally as she took an unconscious step back. Finally, her eyes landed on a blonde figure who looked a lot like Naruto except his features were much more sharper. She knew that face. She pretty much saw it every day when she stared at the Hokage Monument. It was also one of the faces she had seen in Lady Tsunade's offices hung up on the wall. She was staring at Minato Namikaze, the Yondaime Hokage. 'Crap! What do I do?! I literally have no idea what's happening!' she inwardly yelled as she began to panick.

'Where's Sai?' she thought as she looked around the room for his ink bird. She felt something muzzle against her cheek and she let out a discrete sigh of relief. Where had it been before? Someone cleared their throat and she was forced to look at the four Konoha ninja. "Excuse me miss, may I ask what you are doing here? You seem to be lost," Minato said with a smile. He had to get her to loosen up, he thought as he eyed her figure stiffen. "We heard you scream rather loudly," Kakashi said monotonously. 'What do I do?! What do I do?!' she screamed. "Um, I-I don't really know. I just woke up in here," she said as she tucked her- wait, where was her hair? She felt her head, she didn't feel anything except flawless skin. She rushed to a nearby dresser with a mirror. Her breath hitched as tears came to her eyes. She was bald!

She stifled a sob as tears flowed down her cheeks. 'My hair is gone! My beautiful hair is gone!!!' she cried in her mind. 'Is it because of the seal I activated?! Stupid Sakura, very stupid! I'm supposed to be better than this!' she berated herself as her hands grasped the edges of the dresser hard. "It seems you weren't aware that you were bald. I'm sorry," the blonde said as he came to stand beside, patting her shoulder in a comforting manner. She looked to the side, her nose was running and she didn't have any hair to cover her face. She grabbed the collar of her robe and wiped her nose. A sound of disgust came from Kakashi. She sent him a mean glare.

"Why don't we go outside and talk a little?" he suggested and she nodded her head in agreement as he led her outside. She wasn't even sure if she was thinking properly, she told herself as they exited the room and went outside, meeting the mid-afternoon sun with a slight glare. They were still at Roran but the city was in better shape than she had last seen it. 'But Roran is supposed to be in ruins,' she thought as she eyed the majestic towers. A war had happened here, she summarized as she took in the battered state of the city, but the buildings were still better than what she had last seen them. They passed several familiar buildings. There were people who were walking in the streets and were giving her weird looks. The reality of her appearance set in. She was dressed in a shapeless piece of clothing, she was bald, she had no shoes on and there was a bird on her shoulder; the exact definition of caveman. The four Konoha ninja seemed to have noticed her discomfort as they moved closer to her, forming a tight circle around her. She silently thanked them.

She was led to a woman, or a girl who seemed to be around her age. She had long red hair and was dressed in royal robes. She felt self-conscious about her dressing. They were in an office of sorts. "Your Highness," Minato greeted with a bow. "Please don't be so formal with me. Sara is just fine," the girl replied with a smile. Her gaze travelled to Sakura. The kunoichi shrunk back a little. "And who is this?" she asked as she narrowed her eyes slightly. "We found her in one of the towers. She doesn't seem to remember anything. She was surprised that she was bald so I'm guessing she doesn't remember not having hair," the blonde surmised. "It could be that she was under the control of that treacherous bastard," the redhead said as she clenched her fist. "Do you know your name?" she asked her as she turned to the kunoichi. "My name..." she mumbled out. Should she tell them? As they walked to Sara's office, her mind had been playing with a few theories about what happened. One of them was that she was in a genjutsu but she was immune to genjutsu so that was out of question. Another was that she had been moved to a different dimension. The most prominent was that she had travelled back to the past and somehow ended up meeting these four. She wasn't sure which year she was in but the knowledge she had of the future, that was the problem. Would history repeat itself or her presence would change things?

"I'm not sure if I remember my name," she said as she looked at the ground. She would tell them her name after she had enough information about her current situation. She would just 'remember' it miraculously. "Hmmm, others seem to remember," Sara spoke. "What is the last thing you remember doing?" she asked again. "I remember playing with my younger brother near the tower where they found me and the rest is blank," she replied. "Hmmm, your case of amnesia is serious then," the redhead said as if to herself. "Thank you for bringing her. I'll take over from here. I presume you were already on your way home," the Queen of Roran said with an air of finality. Minato nodded. "Then I suggest you get moving if you don't want to get caught in a sandstorm. The past month has been filled with sandstorms," she said as she stood up.

"Where are you going?" Sakura asked as she stared at Minato. "Back home to Konoha," he replied smoothly. She pursed her lips in determination. She had no future here, she had to go back to Konoha as legitimately as possible. "Then please take me with you!" Everyone looked at her as if she were crazy. "Why would you want to go?" he asked her as his eyes narrowed perceptively at her. She didn't like that look. It felt as if he looking through her lies. "I've always wanted to go to Konoha and meet the Yellow Flash," she replied. "Why would you want to meet him?" he asked. "I want to him to take me as an apprentice. Before I was being controlled by Mukade, I had been playing tag with my younger brother. He said he wanted to become just like the Yellow Flash but he was killed before I could do anything. So I want to honor his wishes," she told him. It was the story she had created and she believed it. The best to survive interrogation was to believe your lie, Ino had told her so. If you believed it, your chakra wouldn't spike when you were being interrogated.

Minato looked at her thoughtfully. His eyes roamed over her figure up and down. Her face in embarrassment but she stood her ground, looking as determined as she could. "Unfortunately, as the Yellow Flash, I can't take you to Konoha," he said. "Why?!" she asked in shock. She was sure her acting had been pretty believable. "I already have three children in training. I can't add a grown woman to the list," he replied. "I'm only 16!" she nearly shouted. "Same thing," he replied. Her eyes glistened with tears and her lips trembled. He was not going to get in the way of her going back to Konoha! She was going to her home no matter the consequences. She drew a harsh breath and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

"She's quite feisty," Choza commented as they walked out of Roran. "I know, all the more reason I can't take her as my apprentice. I have my hands full with Obito and Kakashi, plus she's too old to start ninja training now," the blonde said. "I won't question your judgement. But I think you should've at least taken her to Konoha. Why? Because Queen Sara would have no problem with it. From the way her chakra vibrated, she was annoyed with the girl," Shibi said as he moved his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "I think Minato-sensei did the right thing," Kakashi spoke. Minato gave him a grateful smile. "Plus she was annoying, I wouldn't want her for a teammate or as a fellow citizen of Konoha," he added. "Now now, don't be so mean," the blonde berated him lightly. He looked at the sky, the sun was setting. "We better find a camping place soon. There might be a sandstorm tonight," Minato instructed them.

Sara was seated in her office. She had to find accommodation for her people soon. She stared at the chakra blade in her hand and a small smile came to her face. Someone had given this to her. That someone gave her strength. She didn't remember exactly but she knew they had been great friends. She stood up and a piece of paper fell from her lap. She picked it up. It was folded neatly. She unfolded it and read the words inside.

Dear Queen Sara

I hope this letter finds you well. I'm on my way to Konoha, I hope to meet the Yellow Flash along the way. Do not follow me, I'm not coming back. I have to fulfill my brother's wishes.

Yours sincerely

The bald girl

"Why the nerve of that little -" she crushed the paper under her palm. "I hope she doesn't die along the way," she said as she looked at the full moon outside. There was going to be a very severe sandstorm tonight.
