For the first time, Sakura felt alive simply because she was using her quirk. She didn't feel so hollow and empty as she used to feel. This was majorly because of her amnesia, she had bits and pieces of her life before she came to Musutufu. One thing she knew was that where she came from, Heroes didn't exist. There were Shinobi. The only other time she felt 'alive' was at the hospital but even there she wasn't allowed to use her quirk. She'd only be able to use her healing quirk when she had obtained her Provisional Heroes' License, Ren-senpai had said. But the thrill of a battle, she hadn't felt that ever since coming to Musutufu last year. There was one time but that didn't really count. She was tired, yes, but she was so ready to continue having matches. She didn't know her classmates' quirks as such she was quick to knock them out.

She had to admit, her classmates'quirks were pretty awesome. Uraraka's gravity quirk caught her offgaurd for real. Kirishima also had a good quirk, she had the upper hand majorly because of her speed, stamina and endurance. Tsuyu's quirk allowed her to have an advantage over most battles but Sakura had more battle experience. Kaminari's quirk allowed him to use pure Lightning chakra as his only element, which is why she was quick to defeat him because of her high reactivity to pure chakra. It's also the reason why she was quick to defeat Yuuga as well.

She was left with only three, if her memory served her well. The plain boy with green hair, the angry blonde and Endeavor's son. She had quite a history with Endeavor, she never had the chance to have him use his fire quirk against her so she hoped that since Shoto had a fire quirk, she would finally have that chance. She wondered though why Aizawa-sensei would have her fight against everyone in class. It seemed a bit overkill. She guessed it had a lot to do with Nezu, the intelligent mouse was her guardian yet he studied her like a hawk. He was so bent on figuring where she had come from and the nature of her quirk. Her thought process came to a thought as her sensei called the next match.

"Haruno vs Midoriya."

The whole class started murmuring and she could sense the excitement in their chakras. She looked at 'Midoriya', the boy with green hair. She sensed his chakra, it was green, just like his hair, and left a sense of nostalgia in her. 'He reminds me of Naruto,' she thought. Midoriya made his way to the centre of the gym. He stopped right in front her.

"I haven't had a chance to introduce myself. I'm Izuku Midoriya," he said with a nervous smile as he held out his hand. "Sakura Haruno," she replied as she nodded. His hands were rough and calloused. "It's nice to meet you. Welcome to U.A," he added as he let go of her hand. "You too," she said as she allowed herself to smile without feeling ashamed of how her smile looked on her fox face. Like Naruto indeed, the Kyuubi supplied in her mind. "I know this is a spar but I'm interested in other people's quirk so please don't hold back in our match," he said with a determined look. "I never intended on holding back."

Katsuki watched the fox and the nerd exchange words before their spar. The nerd was probably introducing himself, he thought with a scoff. 'They better start the match because I'm getting angry,' he thought with a growl. Small explosions burst in his palms. He was yet to know the extent of the fox's quirk. For all he knew, it had enhanced abilities like superhuman strength, speed and jumping. What really left him wondering was how it managed to have Uraraka deactivate her quirk on the verge of passing without any attack. He growled in thought.

"Begin!"

He watched as the two create space between them. The nerd crouched low and Katsuki could easily see how Midoriya was going to use Full Cowling, his stupid new move. The fox crouched low as well, placing its right hand on the ground, and the left slightly outstretched outwards. There was a beat of silence before the two sped at each other. In a blink, they had met and were exchanging fists and kicks. The whole class, except Katsuki, watched in awe as the duo flickered to different places in the gym is they used their enhanced speed. It was hard to see what they were actually doing when they met, they were now only blurring figures, with Midoriya leaving green streaks of lightning in his wake.

"Just what is that girl?" he heard the glasses idiot ask. "Her speed easily matches Izuku's and she might even surpass him," he added. "Really? I've always thought Izuku to be the fastest in class, apart from you of course," he heard Cheeks say. "Does anyone know what her quirk is?" Shitty Hair asked. "I don't know, it seems almost like All Might's. Super strength and speed," Alien replied. At that, he stiffened. 'Like All Might's?' he thought. 'First the nerd and now this demon fox? No one is like All Might. Their quirks are not similar at all!' he shouted in his mind as the explosions in his palms intensified a little. "I don't think Bakubro likes you guys comparing her to All Might," he heard Dunce Face whisper and with that, they all shut up. 'Finally, some peace,' he thought as his attention went back to he match.

There was a loud poofing sound and a cloud of white smoke covered the fox. When it dissipated, the fox no longer had human limbs but had fox arms and legs. The chest was still human. The size of the limbs were slightly larger than its human limbs. It went down on all fours with a wide animalistic grin on its face. Midoriya was on the other side of the gym, removing his body which had been slammed into a large chunk of stone. When the two looked at each other, they were both sporting wild looks. 'And then they call me the crazy one,' he thought as he rolled his eyes.

Large gusts of wind blew around them as the two blocked each other's moves with their enhanced strength. From what Katsuki could see, the fox was holding back a little. It had high level martial arts moves from what he observed with its match against Tail so why wasn't it using those moves against the nerd? It could easily defeat him if it were to use its martial arts skills and speed. Maybe it wanted to find out the nerd's abilities. He narrowed his eyes as he ignored Shitty Hair's questioning gaze.

The two let out their respective battle cries as they charged at each other, fists cocked backwards. Their fists collided and created a large shockwave which had dust and rocks rising into the ceiling. When the dust cleared, there was a large crater with the fox standing in the middle. It had resorted back to its original state, the fox head and nine tails with the rest of the body human. Midoriya was just a few metres away from it sitting on the ground. "The winner is Haruno," Aizawa-sensei announced. He heard the girls cheer behind him. "Misandristic brats," he muttered under his breath. He watched the fox take the nerd's hand. There was a strange green glow covering its hand. He blinked and it was gone.

"Haruno vs Bakugo."

Sakura had been allowed a ten minute break before continuing her matches. She watched him make his way to the centre of the gym. 'So his surname is Bakugo. I wonder why they don't address each other using their first names,' she thought.

"My name is Sakura Haruno. What's yours?" it asked as soon as he arrived. He noticed its eyes were green, unlike the red from before. "Do I look like I want to tell you my name?" he barked out. "Just asking," she replied, sensing a pout in her tone. "Well, at least you know mine," she added cheerfully. "Isn't that great?" Katsuki eyed it carefully. Why was it acting all bubbly with him? Where is that angry fox he had talked to earlier before the start of the evaluation test?

"I know it seems right off the bat but let's be friends," it suggested with what Katsuki thought to be a smile.

"Begin!"

As soon as Aizawa-sensei announced the start of the match, the fox disappeared. The angry blonde turned his head to and fro as he searched for its location. At the last second, it appeared in front of him with its fist flying towards him. He widened his eyes as he failed to avoid the attack. It punched him in the stomach and he flew backwards, spinning a few times before landing face first into a boulder. He gasped in pain as he crashed onto he ground. 'I won't let that fox trash defeat me,' he thought as he struggled to stand up.

He eyed the fox as it stared at him amusedly. "Is that the best you've got, demon?" he asked haughtily. The fox narrowed its eyes. He sensed a shift in the air, a cold pressure which made him almost tremble but he ignored it. He rushed towards it, using his explosions to propel himself forward. The fox rushed towards him and the two met midway. He dodged a fist and blocked a kick with his left forearm. He grunted from the force of it. Using his left hand, he blasted it in the stomach and it flew backwards. It landed on all fours. One hand went to its stomach, glowing green before disappearing again. The fox punched the ground and a large slab of stone rose up into the air before being tossed towards him. Katsuki used his explosion to blast himself upwards and landed on top of a very high rock. He watched the fox search for him down below. "Die!" he shouted as he blasted the the ceiling and large rocks began descending towards the fox. It stared up and punched the air above it, completely obliterating the rocks. Small pebbles showered the gym as Bakugo descended to the ground. He watched the fox take deep breaths. It was beginning to get tired at a fast pace.

He was going to finish it in one blast. He prepared himself for an AP Shot. He formed an O with his thumb and index finger and placed it in front of his left palm. 'One shot,' he thought as he concentrated his blast onto his palm. The two connected eyes for a split second. That familiar feeling again...as if he'd seen her somewhere, felt her somewhere...

He released a large explosion towards it. 'There's no damn way that beast can avoid that,' he thought as he increased the intensity. After ten seconds, the explosion reduced until it was merely firecrackers in his palm. The fox was nowhere in sight. He searched the gym for it. The battered state of the gym and the rock outcrops everywhere made it hard to spot it. He felt a tingling sensation from his rear. He turned in time to see the fox already in front of him except it wasn't aiming anything at him. They connected eyes again. The same feeling from before came at him full force. His thoughts didn't go far as the fox head-butted him into unconsciousness.

Hi guys! Long time no update, neh. Been busy recently plus I'm learning Japanese as a subject.

I wrote the matches in this chapter in Bakugo's point of view which is why he is referring to Sakura as the 'fox'. He doesn't know the gender yet so he calls her 'it'. I'll explain a lot of things you don't understand in future chapters. I hope you like it. Read and review.
