"Is he gonna be okay?" Sakura asked Aizawa as he dragged Katsuki from the gym floor. "Doesn't matter, we'll see Recovery Girl after your test," he said offhandedly. She felt kinda bad for headbutting him until he was unconscious. 'Perhaps I shouldn't have used too much force,' she thought with a slight frown. "Next up is Haruno vs Todoroki." All thoughts of Katsuki flew out of her mind at the mention of his name. 'Finally, I get to fight a Todoroki. I hope he uses his fire quirk,' she thought as she let out a dreamy sigh. She had a rather sever obsession with fire, the reason being Kurama hated fire so she did it to spite him. He is the reason why everything never worked in her favour after all so anyone with a fire quirk, she liked. She watched the icy-hot boy make his way to the centre of the gym. He was dressed in blue. 'Quite a practical attire,' she thought as she compared his attire to Katsuki's. He stopped a few metres in front. She cleared her throat. "Um, hey-" "Don't hold back against me," he spoke coldly. Sakura stared at him in shock. 'Seriously, what is wrong with this kid? First time we meet, he's all welcoming and now he's treating me like I'm not worth his time,' she thought as she pouted. "Fine," she muttered. There was a loud poof. 'I transformed?' she thought as she looked at her appearance, checking if there was anything amiss. "You no longer have tails," Shoto called out. She touched her back, there were truly no tails. 'Kurama, what in the world just happened?' she asked the fox. If you had allowed me to talk to you ever since coming to Musutufu, you'd know what's happening but you chose to ignore me and shut me out of your mind, came the reply. 'That's because your voice was annoying,' she replied in a bored tone. "Begin!"
At once, Shoto glided towards her leaving behind a trail of ice in his wake. Sakura punched the ground, destroying the entire gym floor. The disturbance caused the boy to lose his footing on the ice. He jumped then sent a wave of ice towards her in midair. Using chakra, she bolstered herself up towards Shoto as she dodged the wave of ice. She grabbed his throat, wanting to slam him into the ground. He took hold of her hands with his right hand and ice travelled from her hands to cover her entire body. She released him then expanded her chakra outwards breaking the ice off her body. She landed on the ground, to see a large boulder of ice coming down. She moved to the side to see another one following suit. She dodged more ice boulders. The temperature in the gym decreased below zero and she shivered unconsciously, dropping on the ground. 'Damn you fox and your biology,' she thought as she felt herself weaken. Suddenly, shards of ice the size of her palm rained down on her.
"Is he trying to kill her?" Eijirou asked in concern as the ice embedded itself into the ground, raising dust. "It's a bit overkill," Denki commented. "Do not worry. If it were so then Aizawa-sensei would have stopped the match," Tenya said. The ice stopped and the dust cleared. Sakura was lying on the ground, in a very inhumane position. None of the shards had pierced her from what they could see. She stood up and they noticed that her shoulder had been struck and blood was flowing freely. She removed the shard of ice and tossed it to the ground. "Huh?! She tossed it like it was nothing!" Hanta exclaimed in shock. "This girl is a mystery. I don't understand anything about her. Is it her quirk that makes her resistant to attacks?" Mina asked as she held her chin in thought. "Maybe but I've never seen a quirk like that," Momo said. "You guys are wasting time. Why don't you ask her instead of racking your brains over nothing?" Kyoka commented with an eye roll. She had woken up a little while ago.
Sakura flexed her arm a bit as she watched Shoto breathe out puffs of cold air. 'Man, he really got me this time though I wonder why he isn't using his fire quirk,' she thought as contemplated whether to heal her throbbing shoulder or not. She would do it later. "I'll knock him out with one punch," she told herself. She sped towards him but crashed into a thick wall of ice. Immediately, more ice formed around her in a pyramid. She tried to move but she was stuck. The ice closed in on her until she didn't even space to move a muscle. The ice was cold and she struggled to breathe. 'I c-can't move,' she thought. Her breathing quickened but there was no air to breathe. She can't...she couldn't...need air...waterstyle...Kakashi-sensei!
Zabuza had caught her in his water style ninjutsu. He had caught Kakashi earlier but he broke out of it. She was suspended in a ball of water. 'I c-cant breathe,' she thought as she began to panick. She watched her teammates fight in front of her. Naruto and Sasuke were fighting Haku whilst Kakashi was fighting Zabuza. 'Somebody help me!' she shouted but her voice was drowned by water. She was drowning, she was dying! "Kurama!" The Kyuubi's chakra burst out at once, covering her in a cloak of orange chakra. She broke out of the jutsu and dropped onto the ground. She passed out soon after that.
When she woke up, it was to Kakashi's face. "What happened?" she asked as she sat up. They were in their room in Tazuna's house. "We defeated Zabuza and Haku. Turns out Gato wasn't planning on paying him. So he killed him and his men before joining Haku," he told her. "So they're both dead," she stated. He nodded. She looked at him dead in the eye. "I almost died. I was drowning and I couldn't do anything about it," she croaked as her eyes welled with the tears. "You did nothing and continued to fight despite seeing your student was in trouble," she added. "You wanted me to die, didn't you? Because I have the Kyuubi sealed inside of me? Because I have more control over the Kyuubi than any other person? Because I hate Konoha and everyone in it?" she spat out. Her chest burned in pain. Kakashi didn't reply as he watched her bawl her eyes out. He stood up to leave. "Some people are better off dead than alive," he said as he walked out. She screamed in anger as the Kyuubi unleashed.
There was a large explosion which completely obliterated the ice around her. A cloak of orange chakra covered her and her eyes were red. Three chakra tails had formed. The whole of 1A watched in shock. A large wave of killing intent was released that Minoru even vomited. 'What is this feeling, so dark and angry?' Shoto thought as he watched her crouch on the ground. "We have a Code Red. Everyone report to Gym Gamma immediately," Aizawa said into his earpiece. Nezu had warned him of this and gave instructions to have a back up team which compromised of Midnight, Mt Lady, Nejire, Tamaki and Mirio. All of them were positioned just outside Gym Gamma. They jumped into Gym Gamma just as Sakura ran for Shoto. A wall of ice rose between them but she broke through, punching his jaw as soon as she was upon him. Shoto was sure his jaw was broken as he heard bones snap. He crashed into the wall beside where class 1A was standing. "Shoto!" they exclaimed as they rushed towards him. His jaw throbbed in pain and his temple was bleeding profusely.
"Sakura, calm down!" Midnight shouted she removed the cloth on her forearm, producing sleeping gas which had no effect on her. Tamaki had created tentacles and wrapped them around her, holding her in place. Aizawa had his quirk activated but it seemed to have no effect on her. Then he noticed something. She had grown another tail then went back to one tail then to two. He would have to check that later. Sakura struggled to break out of Tamaki's hold. "Her cloak is burning me!" Tamaki shouted as his muscles strained. Mirio was holding him by the waist in place so that Sakura wouldn't break out of his hold.. "Nejire, get Shoto!" Mt Lady shouted. The blue-haired girl nodded and she rushed over to Shoto. "I'm sorry but I need you to come with me," she said hurriedly as she helped him stand up. They walked until they were in Sakura's line of view.
"Sakura, snap out of it! Look at what you did to Endeavour's son!" Nejire shouted at her. Sakura's head snapped up as she looked at Shoto. Immediately the cloak vanished and her eyes returned to green. She dropped down onto her knees as Tamaki retracted his tentacles. Mt Lady and Midnight were already beside her. "It's okay Sakura, everything is okay," Midnight said as she placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "No it's not. I did again," she said in a teary voice. She stood up on unstable legs and made her way to Shoto and Nejire shakily. She stopped in front of the duo but Shoto took an involuntary step back. "I'm sorry," she said as she bowed very low. Class 1A was standing a few metres behind them. Shoto nodded. He grunted in pain at the movement. "Please, allow me to heal you," she said as she took an uncertain step towards him. Shoto looked at the two Pro Heroes who were standing behind the fox, they both have him affirmative nods. "Let her do it. She needs this," the girl beside him whispered in his ear. "Fine," he agreed.
She walked and stopped in front of him. She brought a hand to his bleeding temple which was hurting like hell. Her hand lighted green. It was a weird sensation like feeling cool water flowing into your brains, if that was ever possible. The pain on his temple dulled until he didn't feel anything at all. She removed her hand and placed it on his jaw. The pain there also dulled and he felt as though his bones snapped back into place. This went on for around ten minutes and then she stopped. He touched his temple, he wasn't bleeding anymore and there wasn't any wound or pain. He touched his jaw, it wasn't hurting anymore. "I've healed the majority of your injuries. Recovery Girl will finish the rest," she said tiredly. She bowed again. "I'm sorry for my recent behavior, to you and everyone else. I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused," she apologized. "C'mon Sakura, we need to see Principal Nezu," Mt Lady said. The girl nodded her head in defeat. She was guided out of Gym Gamma. Only class 1A and Aizawa remained. No one spoke.
"Oi, what are you dimwits standing there for?! And what's with the gloomy mood? Did some useless extra die?!" Katsuki shouted as he marched over to them. "You're telling me that you hear anything?" Eijirou asked in bewilderment. "What the hell are you talking about?" he asked. Everyone sweat dropped.
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again," Sakura apologized. She was in Nezu's office with Aizawa, Midnight, Mt Lady, Nejire, Tamaki and Mirio. "This is only the second time so I'll take your word. But make sure it doesn't happen again. You're now a student of U.A, in class 1A which is hailed as the best hero school in Japan. We have a lot of eyes on us, the Hero Public Safety Comssion has eyes on us, the general people have eyes on us, the League of Villains have eyes on us. If they were to find out that we have someone like you, it could pose a lot of problems for both the school and the country. Which is why I had you enrolled into U.A. We cannot have the same situation as last time. The difference between now and then is you weren't a student of U.A plus you were in the countryside. No one noticed except a few. Plus all those who saw you in that state all died," she stiffened at the last part. She nodded stiffly. Nezu turned to Nejire. "Accompany her to see Hatsume for her outfit," he said. The girl nodded. "Tomorrow is the start of your Provisional Heroes Exam. I wish you the best of luck," he said. "Don't hold yourself for it," he added with a smile. "Thank you," she said with a bow.
More about Sakura is being revealed. I wrote this chapter in two parts because it was too long. Hope you enjoy. Read and review.
