"Alright," Yūgao said a couple weeks after their first C-Rank, "Today we'll be having a training session along with Team's Seven, Eight and Nine."
"Great. We'll be seeing Lord Emo and the Emotionless Statue," Naruto groaned. After spending a year away from the Hyuga Branch Member, he'd met Neji again during his first training session with Might Guy and the blond was still unimpressed with the Hyuga prodigy. The Genin had the largest case of 'stick up the ass' syndrome he'd ever seen.
"Please don't speak of a member of my family like that," Hinata half-heartedly pleaded though even she had to admit that Neji was one of the best members of the Hyuga both in terms of the Juken and hiding his emotions.
"Where will the group session take place?" Shino inquired.
"Training ground Seven," Yūgao sighed, "Kakashi insisted it be held there so he can give his own advice to not only Guy's Team but also the Rookie Genin."
"So Scarecrow is finally getting to meet me and Lord Emo huh?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow, "Was wondering if he'd find a way to worm himself into our training or if he'd just grow a pair and come to me personally."
"Oh he's been trying to get this group session together for a while," Yūgao groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose, "We decided to placate him if only to get him to shut the hell up."
"Let us hope this does not backfire then," Shino said adjusting his glasses, "However we should be on our way. It would not do, to be late."
"Agreed," Yūgao smiled, "We don't want to mimic Kakashi's chronic lateness."
Once the group arrived at Training Ground Seven they saw three wooden pillars standing a few feet away from a large stone with several names chiseled into it. Teams Seven and Ten were already there along with much to Team Six's surprise Kakashi, "Surprised to see you're on time Kakashi," Yūgao smirked.
"I've been here before even Guy appeared," Kakarshi drawled, "Then again it's hard to be properly late when you're all coming to me instead of the other way around."
"But you'd still find a way," Asuma snarked as he let out a puff of smoke.
"So all that's left is Cousin Ensui and his team," Shikamaru said from where he was lying in the grass watching clouds slowly pass by.
"So how's those seals working for ya Shika?" Naruto asked moving over to sit next to his lazy comrade.
"Well enough," Shikamaru replied, "They need a couple tweaks to make the results a bit more resilient but that's the only complaint I've got," Tenten, Lee and even Kiba looked at Naruto curiously but the blond just grinded.
"Make the results more resilient huh?" Naruto mused, "At the moment I'm not sure how to do that but I'll let ya know once I advance a bit more in Fuinjutsu," Shika just gave the blond a thumbs up.
"Speaking of seals," Kiba said, moving forward to sit next to Naruto and Shikamaru, with Akamaru resting on the Inuzuka's head, "I had a couple things I wanted to run by you."
"What's up?" Naruto asked side eyeing the Inuzuka.
"Asuma-Sensei got me some bola a while back. I was wondering what kind of tricks you could think up to add to them?" Kiba asked brining out one of his bola so Naruto could see what he'd be working with.
"Interesting…" Naruto said as he examined the weapon, "Kinda reminds me of that one itching powder, glitter and syrup balloon prank I used on the grocer who sold me spoiled milk a few years back," Kiba's eyes went wide. The grocer Naruto was talking about had a store not too far from the Inuzuka Compound and the bellow of rage the man let out was so loud people were still wondering if he had active Chakra Coils.
"Oh shit! I didn't even think about that one!" Kiba said as Naruto started cackling. Kiba's shocked expression changed to a feral grin, "If you could come up with shit like that before you learned Fuinjutsu and proper trap making, then I can't wait to see what kind of ideas you'll get now!"
"Dad mentioned you'd been looking at the Fuinjutsu section," Tenten said as she walked over, "Tell ya what. We're always looking for new suppliers for explosion tags and the like. If you agree to make some for us, I'll talk to dad about getting you a discount from now on."
"Why bother?" Neji inquired, from where he was meditating, "He is doomed to fail as is any seal he could make."
Much to Neji's surprise all the Jonin scoffed, "You have no idea what you're talking about Neji. Which is a shame since I gave you scrolls with history the academy left out," Might Guy chided, "Naruto is the last member of the Uzumaki Clan of Konoha's Sister Village Uzushio. ALL Uzumaki have an instinctive grasp of Fuinjutsu and his mother Kushina Uzumaki, the last Head of the Uzumaki Clan, was better at the art than even the Fourth Hokage!"
Every Genin not part of team six's eyes went wide, "Perpostuos!" Neji gasped, "If that's the case why did he always fail at the academy?!"
"Because the teachers sabotaged me on orders of part of the Civilian Council," Naruto shrugged, "Part of the reason why is I was the only child born the day the Kyubi attacked so a lot of the idiots got it in their head I was the Kyuubi reborn. Another reason is because like all Uzumaki I have a LOT more Chakra than the average person. So much so that I couldn't use the basic Clone Jutsu without filling the entire room and nobody suggest I make more than one. So I was always overloading it," That one statement made many of the Genin's eyes go wide, but especially Neji and Sasuke. If Naruto really had that much Chakra at the academy, how much did he have now?
Neji activated his Byakugan and gasped. "What's wrong Neji?" Lee asked.
"He has more Chakra than Guy-Sensei!" Neji said, still trying to wrap his mind around how someone who should have been nothing but a failure was not just a Clan Heir but had more Chakra than any of the Jonin present! Sasuke fumed. He should have that much Chakra, not the Deadlast who's form some no-name Clan!
"You'd think the Uchiha would know of their Cousin's Clan," Kakashi drawled, making Sasuke's eyes go wide as Ensui and Team Eight walked up. He was related to the Deadlast?
"What do you mean Sasuke-Kun is related to the Deadlast?!" Sakura screeched, "There's no way he'd be related to that loser!"
"The Uchiha Clan, Senju Clan and Uzumaki Clan are all related," Ensui said.
"Plus Naruto's Great Great Aunt was the first Hokage's wife," Yūgao smirked, "Meaning he's a direct relation to not only the First and Second Hokage but also Tsunade Senju of the Sannin."
"HE'S WHAT?!" Most of the Genin screamed in shock save for Neji, and Sasuke who were shocked into silence while Naruto and Kiba had to cover their ears from the volume with Akamaru falling off Kiba's head with a pitiful whine.
Shikamaru just muttered, "Troublesome blond."
"Not to mention my Mom Kushina Uzumaki was also an S-Rank Shinobi," Naruto smirked, "Her title in the Binbo Book was 'The Red Death'."
"That's a title I haven't heard in a few years," Kakashi drawled, "She got that name during the same fight Lord Fourth got the moniker 'Yellow Flash'."
Yūgao smirked at the dumbfounded looks on the Genin before she clapped, "Alright. So who wants to go first?"
"I'm game," Naruto said as he unsealed a blunt wakizashi.
"So am I," Sasuke said much to everyone's surprise. After the two moved into place Sasuke pulled out a kunai and growled, "Doesn't matter who you're related to. You're still the Deadlast and I'll prove that now."
"We'll see," Naruto replied as he settled into his stance, one that no one but Guy, Kakashi and Yūgao, and Genin members of Team 6 recognised.
"Begin!" Kakashi said, all the Jonin watching the two with critical eyes.
Sasuke charged and slashed at Naruto's left arm, only for Naruto to easily parry and used Sasuke's momentum to make the Uchiha stumble past the blond who dropped into a leg sweep forcing Sasuke to jump away or risk falling, though due to the stumble the jump was nowhere near as far as the Uchiha would have liked. Growling Sasuke turned only for his eyes to go wide and duck out of the way of a blade made of pure Wind Chakra. Growling Sasuke rushed through hand signs and released a large ball of fire, only for it to be doused by a torrent of water. Fury bubbling up inside Sasuke he threw the kunai along with a flurry of shuriken. Naruto deflected the Kunai and ducked under the shuriken only for Sasuke to use the wires attached to them to pull them back and caused them to wrap around Naruto. Before Naruto could escape Sasuke spat out a stream of fire making the paste on the wires ignite. Just before the fire hit Naruto he smirked and appeared to burst into smoke causing the shuriken and wires to fall to the ground.
Sasuke looked around and growled. How the hell had Naruto escaped? He didn't leave a log so it wasn't a Replacement, and it couldn't have been a clone because as far as he knew, Naruto couldn't do any Clone Jutsu. Remembering the Bell Test Sasuke lept high into the air, only for Naruto to appear off to the side… before another appeared, and another! Six Naruto's appeared in quick succession and all of them looked up at Sasuke with fox-like grins. Three of them released torrents of water while others used the Gale Palm Jutsu to increase the speed of the water. Bracing for impact Sasuke was launched higher into the air before a seventh Naruto drop kicked him in the back, sending him crashing to the ground making him cough up some bile.
"Match!" Kakashi called as he appeared next to Sasuke and leaned down to check on him.
"No!" Sasuke growled as he tried and failed to force himself to his feet, "I… can still fight!"
"Not after that kind of blow," Kakashi said, placing a hand on Sasuke's shoulder and using the Shunshin to move him back to the Genin, "You need to rest for a bit," Kakashi's hands then started glowing green as he used a medical Jutsu to assist Sasuke's recovery.
"How the HELL did the Deadlast beat Sasuke?!" Sakura gasped, "I thought he said he couldn't use the Clone Jutsu?!"
"On top of that, how did his clones use Jutsu?" Ino asked.
"He used a far more advanced Clone Jutsu," Ensui said, "One that's considered a Kinjutsu for non-Uzumaki due to how much Chakra it costs. They're physical clones who are able to not only deal damage with Taijutsu and weapons but as long as they have Chakra they can use whatever Jutsu the caster can. Or did you forget when I used the same kind of clones for your training"
"Yeah. The Shadow Clone Jutsu the Second made is a marvel of a Jutsu but damn is it costly," Asuma agreed, "Even Pops in his prime could only make three at most and still able to fight but the average Uzumaki Jonin could make up to a hundred and still be able to use a couple A-Rank Jutsu if I remember correctly. There's a reason it took three of the Big Five to destroy Uzushio at the start of the last war."
"The Second Hokage made the Shadow Clone Jutsu?" Shino inquired, "Similar to how he made the Hiraishin, the Fourth made famous?"
"Correct," Yūgao said, "Kushina-Sensei once told me that Tobirama-Sama made the Shadow Clone Jutsu specifically for the Uzumaki Clan due to their large amount of Chakra," Yūgao hid her amusement as many of the Genin were once more stunned.
"Wait… if your mother's Kushina…" Tenten started as the pieces of the puzzle finally started being put together. It would have happened sooner but with all the info bombs dropped on her it would be surprising if she wasn't distracted by it. Stars appeared in Tenten's eyes as she suddenly appeared before Naruto, "Please tell me you have her sword and that style you used was The Surging Serpent!"
"Uhh… Yeah I do, and it was," Naruto replied, surprised by Tenten's outburst.
Tenten's eyes were practically glowing now, "All the information I found never mentioned a name for her sword but there was plenty on what it could do! Ever sharp, ever clean, and able to become sharp enough that not even Mizugakure's Kiba Blades could compare! Can I see it?! Please, please pleeeese?"
Naruto glanced at Shino and Hinata, silently pleading for help but was rescued by his amused Sensei, "It seems Tenten just volunteered for the next fight. So who will she be facing?"
Tenten's face went blank for a moment at how Naruto's Sensei had so easily prevented her from seeing one of the most famous swords in the world but quickly shook it off. She moved to stand where Naruto did and started going through some warm up stretches…. Something Lee was already doing and he wasn't even fighting! "How about… Choji?" Asuma suggested, "He's been doing alright with his kanabo, but if there's anyone who can give him pointers it's Tenten and her dad."
"Learning the kanabo huh?" Tenten asked as she reached for the scroll on her back which slightly unfurled and released her own kanabo before it rolled itself up, "Let's start with a kanabo only battle then. Sound good?"
"Alright," Choji replied, unsealing his own kanabo from his belt before slamming its head into the dirt and unsealing some metal gauntlets and putting them on, "Hope ya don't mind if I wear these as well. Need a little more practice with them and Ino and Sakura aren't exactly willing to spar when I use them."
"Kanabo for offense and breaking your enemies defense while the gauntlets are to augment your family's normal style right?" Tenten asked, getting a nod from Choji, "Your family's Jutsu able to be used with those?"
"It's a little tricky using it with the gauntlets as it takes more Chakra since they're not Chakra Metal but yeah. Doesn't work with the kanabo though and I have no idea why," Choji replied as he finished putting the gauntlets on, "It works with dad's weapon of choice but not mine."
"He uses a bo staff right?" Tenten asked, the Jonin grinning at how easily the Genin were working with each other. Then again Konoha prided itself on its teamwork.
"Yeah. Why do you ask?" Choji inquired as he quickly went though a couple warm up exercises himself before picking his kanabo back up.
"Is it made of Chakra Wood or Senju Wood?" Tenten inquired, "That might be the reason why."
"I'm… not sure. I'll have to check," Choji pondered before groaning, "Kami getting both a set of Chakra Metal gauntlets and kanabo is going to be expensive!" He then shook his head, "Ok save worrying about the cost later. Time to focus!"
"Begin!" Asuma said since Kakashi was still tending to Sasuke.
The Genin charged at each other their weapons meeting with a loud clang, as their metal bats met. The scene repeated itself a few times before the two genin leapt apart, "Not bad Choji," Tenten complimented, "The kanabo might not be complicated but you've still got a good grasp of the weapon. Let's see how you deal with something else shall we?" Once more reaching for the scroll on her back, she replaced the Kanabo with some kind of sword but the blade was long and thin, while the grip was rather plain with a metal dome keeping the blade form her hand.
"What is THAT?!" Ino asked, never having seen a weapon like that.
Swishing it through the air, Tenten grinned while Lee said, "It's called a 'Rapier'. Tenten's father Tenshi made it.
"Dad tends to experiment with making weapons when he gets a surplus of metal… which is more often than you'd think," Tenten smirked before she charged, easily ducking and weaving around Choji's attacks. Ino's gaze was locked on Tenten. The weapon she was using was pure speed and skill! The entire point of it was to use the person's finesse, and flexibility to avoid attacks and strike… it… was perfect.
Choji was defeated in short order, unable to keep up with Tenten's speed even after putting the kanabo away and busting out some Fire and Earth Jutsu, "I'll talk to dad about what his staff's made of and how much I'll need to save up to get something similar," Choji said shaking Tenten's hand not bothered about the loss. She did have a year's worth of experience after all.
"Don't forget about those gauntlets," Tenten replied, "With your elements you could either leave some nasty burns on your enemies or turn those gauntlets into a formidable defense."
"I was thinking along those lines as well… Oh boy, this is going to be costly," Choji sighed.
"You're not the only one who wants something made of Chakra Metal," Kiba called out, getting nods from most of the other Genin.
"Tenten I'll want to talk to you later about getting my own rapier. Before that though, I'll go next," Ino said as she got to her feet, "And I'll take the Lazy Ass!" She smirked. There's no way Shikamaru had grown strong enough for him to defeat her. She had this in the bag.
Shikamaru got to his feet, "She's not going to let up until we spar… let's just get this over with before she gets even more troublesome."
Kakashi moved back to be the referee as Sasuke had been healed enough to sit up even if he wouldn't be able to train for the rest of the day. That kick from Naruto combined with the impact with the ground had almost broken Sasuke's spine. For a civilian that kind of injury would be crippling but for a Shinobi it was more manageable. Especially if a medic got to the injury quickly. The Mystic Palm Jutsu had taken a bit out of Kakashi but compared to the drain from his Sharingan, healing the injury was a drop in the bucket, "Begin!" Sasuke now sitting up just seethed on how easily Naruto defeated him. Had the blond really gained that much power while he, an Elite, had gained so little?
Ino started with a flurry of shuriken and followed it up with a Wild Water Wave Jutsu. Shikamaru countered with a Rock Wall Jutsu which easily blocked the shuriken but crumbled under the water Jutsu… and revealed Shikamaru was nowhere to be seen, "What the?" Ino gasped. As with Naruto there was no log showing a replacement so where the hell was he? "Get out here and AHH!" Ino called before screaming as she was pulled underground leaving only her head free.
She struggled to free herself, fury burning in her eyes as Shikamaru pulled himself out of the ground next to her, "There. She's defeated. We done?"
Asume and Ensui chuckled while Yūgao shook her head exasperated at the young Nara, "Yeah. You're done," Shika nodded before he pulled Ino out of the dirt and went back to his cloud watching.
"You just had to win in the most lazy way possible didn't you?" Naruto asked, trying to keep his laughter in check.
"What else was I going to do? Let the fight drag on just so she could show off and try to attract her crush's attention? No thanks," Shikamaru replied, as Ino sat down with a pout on his other side.
Kiba shook his head, "Ever the lazy genius aren't you?"
"That's a Nara for you," Choji chuckled, "Hey… about once we're done training today we go to Yakiniku Q and have a small celebration of how far we've come?"
"Sounds good to me," Shikamaru drawled.
"Same," Tenten said with Lee nodding, "Been a while since I've had barbecue."
Shino adjusted his glasses, "That sounds agreeable. It has been some time since I have visited the establishment."
"Same. What about you Naruto?" Hinata asked.
"Never been," Naruto shrugged, "You know how most of Konoha treats me because of the day I was born on. Why do you think I go to Ichiraku's so often? They're the only restaurant that accepts me."
"Huh… I just thought you loved ramen so much you didn't want to try anything else," Choji said.
"Well… that's part of the reason," Naruto chuckled, "So who's up next?"
"I believe I shall go next," Shino said as he stood, "Who will I be sparing with?"
"YOSH!" Lee cheered as he leapt into the air and landed before Shino and began shadow boxing, "I cannot sit by any longer! Let us show our comrades the power of our Youth!"
"Precisely Lee!" Guy boomed giving his 'Nice Guy' pose. Everyone not used to Guy and Lee's antics looked at the two as if they'd grown second heads… Naruto just cackled as he hadn't warned Shino and Hinata about it for just this reason. He had warned them about the Sunset of Youth Jutsu though.
Letting the cackle drop Naruto sighed, "I will NEVER understand how Guy-Sensei can go from deadly serious to… this in moments."
"One thing you'll learn is the stronger the shinobi and the longer they've been active the more quirks they have," Ensui explained, "It's a sort of metal defense measure."
Asume blew out a puff of smoke, "You'll see some really messed up shit in this line of work. The sooner you find something to help keep your mind off it the better. Guy's is obvious. His Flames of Youth philosophy and training."
"While Kakashi's are those Icha Icha books," Yūgao explained with a scowl. She wasn't like Kurinai and damned every person who read the series, but did he have to read it in public? Some things were better left for the privacy of one's home. Porn was one of them.
"Begin!" Kakashi said and Lee's form blurred as he moved faster than most Genin could see. When Lee reappeared his fist was inches from Shino's face however Shino quickly ducked under the fist and slammed his own fist into Lee's gut making everyone not on Team Six gasp in shock. Lee was well known to be one of the fastest Genin in Konoha, and Shino had not only dodged Lee, but had countered him in the same move. Yūgao smirked as the other Jonin let their jaws drop. None of them expected an Aburame to use Taijutsu.
The Shino who punched Lee then burst apart into a swarm of insects which created a black sphere of constantly moving forms around Lee before surging inwards. The green clad Genin shot out of the sphere moments later as he looked around for his opponent, but the Aburame Heir was nowhere to be seen. The other Genin looked around too before Tenten looked up and gasped, making the other Genin follow her gaze. Shino was floating high above the battlefield on what at first looked like a black cloud but in reality was more of his Kikaichu. Lee leapt up to meet his opponent but with a raised hand the swarm Shino was on burst apart and dove down to meet the Taijutsu specialist. The swarm clung onto Lee trying to pull him back to the ground only for the rest of Shino's hive to catch their target moments later, and the two swarms was enough to pull Lee back to the ground, while simultaneously draining his Chakra. Most of the Jonin expected Shino to need some help but he slowed his fall with a quick Gale Palm Jutsu.
"I suggest you forfeit," Shino calmly stated as he adjusted his glasses, "My Kikaichu have already drained a significant amount of Chakra."
"I… I…" Lee started as he felt his Chakra Levels quickly drop, "I WILL NOT!" Lee blurred once more the Kikaichu still on him as he went for another punch, but when Shino ducked Lee was already bringing his leg up, slamming his knee into Shino's chest. Shino gasped for breath as the wind was knocked out of him, causing Kakashi to call the match. The Kikaichu instantly flew away from Lee to return to Shino and quickly vanished beneath his coat. Lee then looked up and gave a large grin, "I admit I underestimated you Shino! I was not expecting one of your clan to be able to move so quickly!"
Once he had his breath back Shino, stood back up and once more adjusted his glasses, "It is merely the results of the difficult training Yūgao-Sensei has put our team through. Along with the results of a couple other projects. I must also admit I was not expecting you to push through and defeat me with how much Chakra my Kikaichu drained from you."
"Whatever those projects are, I'm sure Shibi will be bragging about them once they're complete," Asuma said as he incinerated his most recent used up cigarette.
"It'll be troublesome alright," Ensui agreed.
"How the hell were you flying?!" Kiba gasped, "I didn't think Kikaichu could carry a human's weight!" Shino turned to Kiba, glasses gleaming in the sun but didn't respond. After a couple moments Kiba huffed, "Fine. Keep your secrets."
"I shall go next," Neji said as he got to his feet, "Fate will show that no matter who I face I shall emerge victorious."
Sakura growled slightly, "Oh yeah? We'll see about that," She wasn't really as confident as she sounded but if she managed to beat Neji then Sasuke would HAVE to notice her strength! As she moved to stand before the Hyuga, she felt a dark presence behind her and shuddered slightly. How did he know?!
Yūgao leaned over to Ensui and whispered quietly enough that none of the Genin could hear, "I see you're putting your unique hybrid of the Nara's Shadow Jutsu and the Yamanaka's Mind Jutsu to work. Having fun mentally tormenting your student by reading her emotions through her shadow?"
Ensui gave a quiet chuckle, "It's one of the only worthwhile things about being her Sensei. The more often I scare her with this and push her harder when training the more she'll focus on the job at hand. She can think about him all she wants when she's taking some time off but she NEEDS to focus on the job, and her mind wanders to the kid far more often than a simple crush. It's a damn near obsession! At least Ino is nowhere near as bad now."
Yūgao nodded as she looked back at the fight… only to facepalm when Sakura attempted the Hell Viewing Jutsu on Neji only for the Hyuga Prodigy to rush forward and ruthlessly beat down the pink haired Genin with the Juken. Once Sakura was unable to even stand from how many of her Tenketsu had been closed, Neji turned and calmly walked back to resume his meditation.
"Brutal," Kiba shuddered with Akamaru yipping his agreement.
"She was a fool for forgetting the Hyuga are immune to Genjutsu due to our bloodline," Neji scoffed, "And she claimed to be a Kunoichi of the Year? Pathetic."
"Well there's only one more match," Asuma said, "Kiba, Hinata. You're up," Kiba blanched slightly, a small blush on his face before shaking it off.
"Let's do it Akamaru!" Kiba cheered as he took his spot.
"Don't hold back Kiba," Hinata said as she slid into her stance, with the others save for Team Six and Guy surprised seeing it wasn't a normal Juken stance. Her left leg forward slightly and resting on her toes, her right arm kept flat along her stomach and left held out, and for the first time everyone realized that Hinata was wearing a pair of black gloves. Neji who'd cracked open an eye to see let a frown flicker over his face before going back to his meditation.
Kiba blinked before shaking his head and with a quick Jutsu, Akamaru transformed to become a copy of Kiba. Kakashi then called for the match to begin, the two Kiba's bounding forward, each one lashing out with a claw. Hinata in one smooth motion turned on her back foot, kicking one of the Kiba's into the other and the real Kiba growled in pain as he felt Chakra ripple out from the point of impact but his eyes then went wide as he felt something close a Tenketsu on his right leg.
The two Kiba's went rolling away from Hinata who returned to her previous stance and took a slow breath as her eyes were calm yet focused. Only the Jonin and Team Six noticed a single wire retract into the glove on her right hand, "What the hell was that?!" Ino gasped while Naruto smirked.
"Naruto and I have grown stronger since our time at the academy," Shino calmly stated, "Why would Hinata be any different?" No one had a response to that and just turned back to the spar.
The two Kiba's got to their feets, looked at each other and nodded before once more charging at Hinata and splitting up for a pincer maneuver with one of the Kiba's throwing a bola, then attacking her with a flurry of claws. Hinata easily leapt over the bola and began to practically dance around the attacks. Hinata continued to do so for a minute or two which made the two Kiba's angrier and angrier which in turn made them more and more sloppy. Hinata then let loose a flurry of powerful kicks while the wire moved around to close a couple Tenketsu on the Kiba's backs. She finished with a pair of chakra empowered fists to their guts knocking the wind out of them, and returning Akamaru to his true form.
All the Genin were stunned. This was a VERY different Hinata than the one they'd seen almost a month and a half ago. What kind of training was Team Six going through?!
"Now then," Kakashi said once all the Genin had gathered, and gave them one of his unique 'eye smiles'... which was basically just closing his only visible eye while what little of his face they could see radiated satisfaction, "Let's go over where you can all improve shall we?"
Author's Notes:
Got a chance to show how some of the Genin have grown… and not going to lie. This was fun to write.
For those of you wondering, that's how Ensui is attempting to get Sakura to focus, and with the Yamanaca, Akamichi and Nara clans, it would make sense for some members to make combinations of the family's unique Jutsu. Such as using one's shadow to read a target's emotions, or using one's shadow to physically punch an enemy through their shadow.
As for why I didn't mention the various Jutsu names… that mostly to keep the story going smoother. And for Kakashi… well… I just didn't feel like adding his input lol
