It's been 7 years since I made the trio, I'm now 14. My birthday has been changed to July 15 the same as Izuku because they said it would be fun if we were twins since I didn't know how old I was at the time or my original birthday.

I've gotten used to this new world of mine but I just can't get this uneasy feeling that something is wrong. I still haven't told anyone that I was in a world with no quirk or did I time travel, so many questions but with no answers, I also haven't had any new memories of the story.

But if there is one thing I loved about this world was my new quirk. Having a superpower was so fun to experiment with, especially when I learned how to fly with it, though it wasn't the best first flight.

But going by my looks, I'm different from how I used to look when I was 14 in my old world. Instead of my brown short hair, I had longer black hair that goes down to my waist. My skin was smoother than before and the only thing that was the same for my body was that I was still a girl.

My face was much more decent looking compared to my old one and my eyes were green, though my body was *ahem* missing in a few areas mainly up here and down there compared to my old one, I think.

Moving on to the present, this weekend I was over at my friend's house for a sleepover. When it was a school day I forced her to run along with me to school. Why do I do this? Because it's fun and also it's just more convenient since I have someone to wake me up, not that Mrs. Midoriya or Izuku couldn't, it's just more convenient in a way.

"Hey Akumi, wait up you're going too fast," I heard my friend Akari say.

"Come on school is not going to wait for itself," I said as we exited a tunnel.

"We still have 30 minutes before school starts. Why are you rushing so much?"

"Remember what happened last time we were late, right?"

"It's been years now why do you always bring that up."

"That's because that was how we first met an—," I turned the corner and fell as I felt my body collide into a figure.

"Akumi, are you alright," Akari said.

"Yeah, I just bumped into someone," I said and looked to see who I bumped into, "Oh… It's you."

"What, got a problem," Katsuki says.

"Yeah, just one problem. But I don't think it's worth mentioning it to you," I stood back up.

"So you want to die, HUH," he yelled.

"I'll kick your ass if you try," I yelled back.

"Hey Katsuki it's not worth it man. Let's just ignore her," one of Katsuki's lackeys said.

"Shut up, I don't back down just because of a girl," Katsuki yelled.

"Akumi, I don't think we have time for this. We only have 29 minutes left and we are still at least 10 minutes away from school," Akari said.

"Yeah Katsuki, if you keep dragging this out you might not make it to UA because of your late attendance," Katsuki's lackey said.

"What did you say," shouted Katsuki.

"Calm down dude. It's just a joke."

"You go ahead Akari. I'll meet you there when I'm done here," I said as I smiled at Akari.

"You heard the sponge, leave if you want but I'm not backing down," Katsuki yelled towards his lackeys.

"Alright man, I don't want to be late for school again. Later dude."

"Akumi, I know you like your fights but please stop, we need to get going," Akari said.

"I'm going to be fine, Akari. This is just a morning warm-up, go ahead without me."

"Hey, are we doing this or not!? You're wasting my time, you know!"

"Why do I always get interrupted? And don't think I didn't hear that comment about me. Mr. Explosions," I took a swing at Katsuki's face with my right hand but he dodged, tucking his head back.

"Trying to surprise me huh? Try working on your defense first," he yelled and punched aiming for my head with his right fist.

(Third-person party)

"Who's yelling so gosh darn early in the morning," a man said as he looked out the window to see Bokugo and Akumi fighting.

"You know the usual lover's quarrel dear," a woman said.

"I swear those two fought ever since they met each other," the man said.

"I say it's lovely and pretty romantic don't you think," the woman said.

"What? Romantic? How is fighting every time you meet the same person you don't like, romantic," the man asked.

"Well dear, you would know if I was as strong as her during that age."

"Right, right, what's the score now five to five now? She sure is a strong girl, should we stop them."

"No, let them be. Let them experience the sensation of youth," the woman said, drifting off into romance.

(Back to the fight)

I caught his punch with my left hand, activating my quirk to absorb some of the nitroglycerin-like substance that Katsuki sweated out.

"Trying to pull that off again. It's not going to work this time," Katsuki yelled and I could see a grin on his face as I heard something crack. A liquid spilled out of his left hand as he opened his hand revealing a tiny bottle that had his sweat in it.

I still have his right hand in my hand so I pushed it to his right side trying to avoid his explosion in a panic. Katsuki used the momentum of my push to do a quick spin activating his explosion quirk. I released the sweat that I absorbed from Katsuki from the palms of my hand making Katsuki's explosion ignite the sweat making two equal explosions knocking both of us back a good distance.

"You little cheater, you used an item," I said, regaining my composure.

"So what, you took my sweat, you creep," he yelled.

He got me there. It was kind of weird taking his sweat but I would not admit it out loud, "Resorting to cheating to beat a girl, have you no shame."

"I don't care man, woman, or child, I do whatever it takes to win," he yells as he comes charging at me.

"Stop!" Akari yelled as she got between Katsuki and me.

"Get out of the way unless you want some too," Katsuki shouted and stopped.

"No, you two should not be fighting this early in the morning. On second thought you two shouldn't be fighting at all," Akari yelled back.

"Hey Akari, it's fine. like I said, I beat him up all the time."

"No, I don't want to see my friend hurt when she could have avoided it. So both of you stop!"

I don't know what was going on in Katsuki's head but he said, "Fine, but you got lucky this time Akumi. If it wasn't for your friend here you would have been begging me for mercy," as he walked off to school I assume.

"Oh Akari," I went to hug Akari, "I didn't know you cared so much for little old me."

"Stop it will you? We only have 10 minutes left before school starts. We are going to be late because of you," I struggled to get in for a hug as she blocked me.

"Don't worry I have a shortcut," I smile.

"And what would that shortcut be?"

"Get on my back." I turned and crouched down.

"Oh great, not this again."

"Yep, climb on quickly we need to get to school."

"You have better control over it now right," she tried to discern.

"No time to explain, just get on," Akari sighs and reluctantly gets on my back, "Ok here we… Go!" I absorbed the air around the area then released it out of the palms of my hand and started to hover.

"Here we go again," Akari said as I flew high enough to see the school and Akari holding tighter on me. I then angled my hand behind me and then started to speed off to the school.

"Can you land safely this time," Akari asked as we are now hovering above the school.

"Don't worry I got this under control, maybe."

"What do you mean maybe," She screams as I stop releasing air and we fall and she clings to me even tighter. Before we hit the ground I release the leftover air I stored up to cushion our fall. I landed on my feet and Akari got off my back fumbling to the ground on her back.

"You ok," I asked

"No of course not we nearly died again!"

"Well, we got to school with time to spare."

"Huh, just, help me up will you."

"Right," I pulled her up and held on to her, "You sure you're ok, you seem kind of wobbly."

"I'm ok now, just a bit shaky after almost Falling to my Death."

"Ok then, let me help you to class, school is about to start," I helped Akari get to her class as the bell rang to signal the start of school. While I was walking to my class I saw Katsuki in the hallway and he noticed me too.

"What do you want," Katsuki said.

"Nothing, just going to class."

"Whatever," he walks past me. I see no yelling this time, that's great.

I walked to my class and when I entered the room the people inside all stared at me and then looked away. I could sense them saying if only Akumi didn't focus on her quirkless brother Izuku she may have become the best in this school or they might say Akumi's adopted mother must have only adopted her because her actual son is quirkless. I ignore all these things though since I've gotten used to it.

"Hey, Akumi how have you been," I hear Youta say and waved at me.

"Hi Youta, it's been good, just ran into Katsuki on the way here you know."

"Akumi," the teacher said and I got this chill running down my spine.

"Yes Mrs. Kamiyama," I said nervously.

"Class is starting, get inside and have a seat," Mrs. Kamiyama said with a calm voice but she looked very annoyed.

"Ye-yes Mrs. Kamiyama," I said and got to my desk behind Youta at the back corner seat window.

"Now that everyone is here we can get class started," Mrs. Kamiyama said. "As you know this is your final year in Aldera Junior High before moving on to high school. This is the time when you must think seriously about what you want to do in life for your future. So I will be passing out some career aptitude tests."

"Umm, excuse me Mrs. Kamiyama," a student raised their hand.

"Yes Hiro," Mrs. Kamiyami said.

"Why are you passing out a career aptitude test when you know what we all want to be?"

"And what does everyone here want to be?"

The class went quiet for a few seconds and nodded at each other at the same time and then everyone in unison, except for me and Youta, screamed "WE WANT TO BE HEROES!" They all activate their quirks showcasing all their wacky abilities with most being useless, unusable in hero work, or only would work in very specific circumstances. Except for Youta, maybe me, Daichi with the quirk Tower, and Maeko with her quirk, nobody here could actually become a notable hero.

"Everyone quiet down, as you all can see class is still in session," I say as I absorb all the excitement of the room and go to open a window then release the excitement before it could affect me.

"Hey, what was that for? Don't just use your quirk on us Akumi," one student said.

"Oh and you activating your quirk near me isn't using a quirk on me."

"Come on. We were just having a little fun. You can't just take it away," another student said.

"Well, I just—."

"Akumi. I appreciate your help but," I heard Mrs. Kamiyama say and I felt even more chills down my spine. I looked at Mrs. Kamiyama and she looked menacing like she could snap at any moment. I didn't say anything else and just returned to my seat. No one else said anything else either.

"Akumi, you forgot something," Mrs. Kamiyama said with irritation in her voice.

"And what would that be Mrs. Kamiyama," I quivered as she motioned her head towards the window still open. I quickly went and closed the window and returned to my desk then class resumed as normal.

Now it was time for lunch. I usually bring my own lunch but this time it kind of disappeared. Thinking back, it must have fallen out when Katsuki and I exploded. "Akumi, did you forget your lunch," Youta asked.

"No, I dropped it when I bumped into Katsuki."

"So did you forget it?"

"Yes. Yes, I forgot it. Sigh, now I'm going to be hungry for the rest of school," I put my head down on my desk.

"Here, have some of mine," Youta said.

"Really? Are you sure," I said looking up towards him, drooling a little.

"Oh look here Youta making moves," Akari said as she arrived.

"I'm just helping a starving friend."

"Akari. Give me food," I said as I got up to hug her.

"No, not this time since you didn't listen to me earlier. And don't you already have Youta giving you food."

"Oh right, Youta, give me some of your food," Youta handed me his lunchbox, "Thanks."

"Hey, Akumi shouldn't you check on your brother," Akari asked.

"Nah, he should be fine," I said

"Didn't you make a big deal about him being bullied?"

"Did you forget about the part where I said he has to fend for himself sometimes?"

"Okay if you're fine with that."

"So did you two hear? There's a rumor going around that Maeko might become a villain," said Youta.

"What? That's impossible. When did this rumor come to be," Akari asked.

"Just recently actually. I overheard it earlier this morning when you guys weren't here."

"That's why you weren't waiting for us at the entrance."

"Yeah sorry about that. But listen, do you actually think Maeko would become a villain?"

I ate Youta's lunch but it looks like he brought an extra lunch box, conveniently for himself, "I have my doubts but she could very likely become a villain with all the bad rep she got."

"Don't you have a bad reputation," Akari laughed.

"Yeah, I do but not as bad as yours," I joked.

"We all have had a bad reputation since we were little. We were a terrifying trio after all," said Youta.

"Haha. You're right about that, what were our nicknames again?" The bell rang before I could get any answer.

"That's the bell. I'll see you two after class," Akari leaves the room.

"Yeah," we waved goodbye.

Once class was over Mrs. Kamiyama told me to stay after class for a bit because she had something to talk about that involved me.

"Akumi, you are going to apply to UA High, right," she asked.

"Yes I am," I quickly answered.

"Are you sure? You know you don't have to do this for your brother."

"That's not the reason why I'm going there, ma'am. I just want to go to UA High, ma'am," I noticed something fall from outside the window.

"I'm not completely sure what you mean, but if you are so adamant about going then I won't stop you."

"Is that all you wanted to talk about Mrs. Kamiyama?"

"No, there is something else. Have you been fighting with Katsuki again," she said sternly.

"Yea…. yes I have."

"We've been getting complaints about you two, especially with your illegal quirk usage. You're lucky since you two are still young enough to not get punished but this is your last warning. Try not to get into any more fights or use your quirk without a license or else there will be harsh consequences. Understand."

"I will do my best Mrs. Kamiyama."

"That is all you may leave now."

"Yes Mrs. Kamiyama, see you tomorrow," I bowed my head to her and left the room to go investigate what I saw.

"Akumi, what were you and Mrs. Kamiyama talking about," Youta said as I got out of the room.

"Hey Youta, Akari, want to go investigate something."

"Umm, sure. What are we investigating," replied Youta.

"Right outside the school building."

We went to the place where I thought the thing that fell was and saw Izuku there with a wet notebook looking like he was going to cry.

"Hey Izuku, how have you been? I haven't seen you in like, two days now."

"Oh Akumi, Akari, and Youta. Uh… Hi. I'm doing well. How have you guys been," Izuku said quickly as he hid his notebook behind his back.

"So what you got there," I pointed to the notebook he was trying to hide.

"Nothing, nothing at all, don't worry about it."

"Come on Izuku, what is it? You know I won't treat you any different."

"It's just, I dropped my notebook and was a little bit worried that it might have been damaged."

"Let me take a look at it," Izuku showed me the notebook he was holding and it was wet and had burnt marks on it. I took the notebook and sucked the water from it and handed it back to Izuku. "It was Katsuki again wasn't it?" He didn't reply so I guess I hit the mark.

"Akumi it's fine you don't have to do anything, you will get in trouble and might not be able to go to UA."

"What do you mean I shouldn't do anything? Should I just let them destroy your things without having them apologize at least?"

"They've already apologized," Izuku stated.

"You don't have to lie Izuku," I looked towards Akari, and her eyes were glowing, "You know we are always here to help you."

"I'm not lying."

"I'm sure you aren't, but I won't be satisfied until I hear them say it from my own ears," I said and started to leave to go find Katsuki.

Youta then grabbed hold of my wrist, "Wait Akari, where are you going."

"Going to find Katsuki, where else?"

"You're getting yourself in another fight."

I look towards Akari and she nods in agreement with Youta. "Fine. Just let go of me," I sighed.

Youta lets go of me. "Wait! Don't let go of her," Akari shouts to Youta but it was too late.

I took off running out of the school to find Katsuki, "Hahaha. Don't try to stop me! Katsuki needs to apologize!" I shouted.

"Oh no you don't! You need to stop having fights! Come back here!" I hear Youta yell and his steps closely behind.

After exiting the school and running to a familiar-looking tunnel I seemed to have lost him. I took a good look around the area first to find Katsuki and second to make sure I wouldn't be stopped. This tunnel seemed familiar but I just couldn't place my finger on it… Wait, it's the shortcut Akari and I use to get to school.

Just through this tunnel with a couple more turns would be a place that Katsuki should be. I went through the tunnel to go find Katsuki but it turns out he wasn't at his usual place. "Where is that damn walking bomb?" I'm walking the streets until I see that spiky blond hair with his lackeys walks into an alleyway.

I followed them into the alleyway and saw the two people with Katsuki run out. "Hey Katsuki you—" I turned the corner and saw a sludge-like monster coming from behind Katsuki inches away from him and Katsuki was turned away from the sludge and didn't notice it as he was distracted by me. Then my body reacted on its own and before I knew it, I threw Katsuki out back to the street as the sludge engulfed me. The sludge going down my throat and nose suffocating me and the sludge touching my body in all sorts of places.

"Nice, I got this young girl's body instead," I heard a voice say.

"Akumi? What are you? How did you…? Why did you," I hear Katsuki say as I see sludge attack Katsuki and Katsuki using his explosion quirk to defend.

"Oh is this your girlfriend or something, that's even better," I hear again this time seeing that it was the sludge speaking.

I tried using my quirk but it wasn't activating. Was it the sludge, I don't know and I can't think too clearly. On second thought, I don't even have time to think as I see Katsuki trying his hardest to get me out of the sludge while fighting off the sludge. Even though I was being suffocated by this sludge I could still breathe for some reason.

"Hey kid, you should give up before I hurt your girlfriend," the sludge said.

"Oh, you think she's my girlfriend huh! Well, you're wrong she's not even someone I care about!" Katsuki leaped forward making an explosion and blowing some of the sludge off me. I struggled to get out and nearly had a chance to escape but the sludge drags me back in.

"For someone who claims to not care for this girl, you sure fight hard to get her back. You know, maybe it is better if I kill you first and have your girlfriend watch you die," said the sludge.

"I'm not doing it for her. I'm going to destroy you because you dare to attack me!" Katsuki tries again using explosion after explosions but most do little to nothing and others misfire. I think he was trying to avoid hitting me with an explosion.

I struggle out just enough to yell, "Just blast both of us with everything you got you idiot!"

The slime wraps around me more and pulls me back in, "Shut up girl and just give up already. Just sit tight and stop struggling."

"Who are you calling an idiot, you dumbass! Who told you to get stuck in this thing," Katsuki yelled as he blew up the sludge with a slightly bigger explosion. Why aren't you using your quirk, you dumbass!"

"I'm trying you idiot! It's not working!" The sludge covers my mouth again and launches another attack at Katsuki making him keep his distance.

"What do you mean it's not working!" Katsuki does another explosion to defend himself.

"This is getting nowhere. I need to end this fast or he might show up," said the sludge.

"Oh you're not going anywhere until I'm through with you," Katsuki makes another explosion.

(Third Person Event. Takes Place Before The Sludge Villain Attack On Akumi)

Akumi had run away from the group. Youta tried to chase her but he lost sight of where she went after a turn. Slowing down and taking a look around him he noticed he was a bit lost. "Damn it Akumi. You couldn't have just let it go," Youta sighed. "I guess I'll head back to the others."

Youta walked back to Akari and Izuku with his head down. He meets Akari and Izuku on the way back, running side by side toward him. "Hey Youta, where's Akumi," shouted Akari.

"Sorry guys. I couldn't catch up with her." He said in disappointment.

Izuku and Akari got up to Youta then Akari said in frustration, "That's no reason not to continue looking."

"This is bad. Akumi and Kacchan will probably fight again," said Izuku with a worried look on his face.

Akari looked around to see where they were and noticed the same tunnel she and Akumi used as a shortcut. "Wait. Did you pass that tunnel here when you chased her?" Akari pointed to the tunnel.

"Yeah. Why?" Youta ponder.

"She would have gone through here. This is one of our shortcuts to the school we use. Come on," Akari says as she runs ahead of the two boys.

"Yes, this is a perfect shortcut for me," they hear someone say. Suddenly the lid from the manhole in the tunnel pops open in front of Akari and sewage encases around her.

"Akari!" Both Izuku and Youta yelled as they ran forward.

"Now, now. You two don't try anything funny or else I kill her," said the sludge. It showed Akari struggling for air as the sludge wrapped tightly around her neck, her arms trying to pull the sludge away. Youta and Izuku stop and stare intensely at the dangerous situation Akari was in.

Youta immediately activated his quirk now that he had the chance to stop. "Let her go!" Shouted Izuku, noticing what Youta was doing so he tried to buy time.

The sludge laughs maniacally "You actually thought I wouldn't kill her! I'm on the run kid. I'll be taking her body now!" The sludge was about to enter Akari but Youta's red light appeared. Blocking the sludge from entering her.

"NOT IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT IT!" A muscular man with yellow hair and a smile that tells you everything is going to be alright pops out of the manhole. Izuku and Youta immediately recognize that man was All Might the number one hero.

"No! Not You Again!" The sludge shouted in terror.

"BECAUSE I AM HERE!" The muscular man pulls Akari out of the sludge with ease. "TEXES SMASH!" All Might using one of his signature smashes knocks out the sludge villain.

Akari began coughing and gasping for air. Youta protects Izuku and himself with his red light from the wind pressure then after it dissipates they rush towards Akari whom All Might had laid on the floor up against the wall of the tunnel. "Akari! Akari!" Youta shouted, trying to wake her up. Youta put an ear over her face, "Thank goodness she's still breathing."

All Might seeing that the girl was ok quickly contained the sludge villain in plastic bottles. All Might put away the sludge villain, "I'M SORRY FOR BEING LATE. BUT IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING TURNED OUT OK."

"A-A-All Might. It's a p-pleasure to see you in person," Izuku managed to stutter out.

"I'M SORRY THAT I CAN'T STAY AND HELP ANY LONGER. MAKE SURE TO TAKE HER TO A HOSPITAL IF HER CONDITION GETS WORSE." All Might got ready to jump off.

"W-wait a moment. I still have a question to ask you," said Izuku.

"A PRO BATTLES NOT ONLY ENEMIES BUT ALSO TIME. SORRY. UNTIL NEXT TIME…" All Might jumps away and a small gust of wind blows over to Youta and Akari. "THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!"

Youta, still focused on Akari, said, "Hey Izuku, I think we should head back to Akari's place first before we continue to look for Akumi." Youta looked up and noticed Izuku was nowhere to be seen. "Izuku?"

(Back To First Person Current Time)

"Why haven't you passed out? With your struggling you should already be dead," said the sludge villain. The sludge was still covering my mouth and now wrapped around my arms and legs.

"Damn it," Katsuki yells and makes an explosion, blowing the sludge off my face and I coughed out the sludge in me. "This isn't the time to soak things up, sponge! Do you want to die!"

I push my right arm free, reaching out to Katsuki, "It's not like I want to die! I'm trying my best!" I screamed as I felt a sharp pain in my arm and legs that were still covered in sludge. Katsuki grabbed my hand and I felt him pulling.

"You think it would be that easy to take her out? You left yourself wide open!" The sludge goes around me towards Katsuki.

"You damn sewage! Should've just stayed in the sewers where you belong!" Katsuki blasts the sludge off of my body. My legs then gave up on me as my knees hit the ground. "Get up. You're better than this," Katsuki, still holding my hand, helped me up.

I tried my best to get up and used Katsuki to prop myself up. Then I felt the sludge wrap around my ankle and pull me off balance falling to the ground again. "You surprised me there. But don't think you'll get a second chance."

I'm holding on to Katsuki's hand but his grip was slipping. The sludge came towards Katsuki and I let go of Katsuki's hand. My body hits the ground for the third time being quickly dragged back into the sludge. I tried to kick the sludge off my ankle but to no avail.

"Hey! What's going on back here!" I hear someone shout. I look up to see pro-hero Death Arms.

As I was about to scream for help the sludge quickly covered my nose and mouth again. "Oh, well would you look at that? You survived long enough for a pro hero to show up. Now I need you as a hostage," said the sludge.

"Hostage!? Kid, I need you to stand back," Death Arms said to Katsuki as Death Arms came charging in.

"I'm sorry but I have some business with that sludge first," Katsuki said as he rushed the sludge.

"Damn it, kid!"

"Rushing to your death? Your quirk seems nice. I'll just kill her right now and… Why can't I…" I don't know what the sludge was trying to do but it looks like he was distracted. Katsuki got in close for a precision blast. This blast completely knocked off the sludge from me and Katsuki quickly lifted me up and over his shoulder.

"Watch out!" I yelled as I saw the sludge suddenly enlarging in size around us.

Katsuki turned away from the sludge at the moment and didn't react in time to the sludge as the sludge leaped onto both of us. "I don't know how you're still alive or what you did girl, but your boyfriend here might not be so lucky."

An explosion goes off as Katsuki yells, "Get off of me you damn pile of crap." The blast does nothing but sets fire to the surrounding buildings.

I managed to push off Katsuki's shoulder and fall face-first to the ground free from and behind the sludge. I assume this meant the sludge had lost interest in me since it didn't come after me. It hurt to do just about anything as I lay on the ground, but I had to get Katsuki out of that sludge somehow. Death Arms rushed in soon after and punched the sludge but it had no effect.

Still on the ground I quickly looked around and saw that the fire was spreading, people were evacuating, and a crowd slowly started to form to watch what was happening. I don't know why but I stuck my left hand back into the sludge, managed to grab a hold of Katsuki's leg, and yelled, "Stop making a difficult situation even more difficult with your explosions! If you're going to use it! Then Go For The Kill!" I surprisingly pulled Katsuki out with ease, but that strength quickly disappeared as Katsuki fell onto the ground away from the sludge.

Wood wrapped around Katsuki and me and it began to pull us up and away from the sludge but the sludge latched on to me. "Don't think you'll get away! You're my hostage," shouted the sludge villain.

"Just die already," Katsuki pointed a blast at the sludge.

"Don't!" I yelled a little too late as Katsuki set off a big blast hitting not only the sludge but effectively breaking off the wood around us. I landed on my feet with sharp stabbing pains spreading throughout my body, almost toppling me over as the sludge began to creep up my leg.

Katsuki landed and tried to approach me but the wood quickly wrapped around him and pulled him away as the sludge covered my body again. "Damn it! Let go of me!" Katsuki yelled.

"Sorry kid, but it's for your own safety," I see Kamui Woods.

I try again to resist the sludge but the sensation just gets more painful every time I try to resist to get free. It felt like I was being cut from the inside whenever I moved. I just want to give up but I know I shouldn't because if I do who knows if I would wake up again? But when I was at my limit I could see Izuku running in. That made something click. I had to be subconsciously absorbing something.

I then reflexively released everything I've absorbed with my quirk and when I did that I'm back to normal but now suffocating. I also heard the sludge scream in pain and see Izuku crying desperately trying to claw me out of the sludge. I was going to activate my quirk and get out of the sludge by shooting him out of me but I saw All Might appear and grabbed Izuku and me away from the sludge yelling, "DETROIT SMASH."

As soon as I got out of the sludge I threw up all of the sludge inside of me and whatever food that was not digested. But now that the sludge is out of me I started to lose consciousness even though I was fine before. I could barely make out the three people in front of me but I think they were Akari, Youta, and Izuku. I couldn't hear what they were saying as I slowly drifted out of consciousness smiling and saying quietly, "I knew you'd come."

(Third Person)

All Might made a victory salute with a clear sky and a crowd cheering. Izuku and Akari are crying trying to get Akumi to wake up. A stretcher was brought to Akumi and the sludge villain was contained. Izuku was lectured for reckless rushing in and Katsuki was praised for trying to save his friend but also lectured by some heroes for not leaving when told to.

Akumi was brought to the nearest hospital with Izuku, Akari, Youta, and Katsuki waiting to see if she was ok. Izuku called his mother to tell her what happened to Akumi. The doctor got out of the room that Akumi was in and said to Izuku "Your sister is not in any sort of critical danger. It looks like she just passed out due to the lack of oxygen."

"Oh thank god she is ok," Izuku and Akari sighed in relief. Katsuki and Youta also looked more relaxed now.

"So is she awake yet," Youta asked.

"No, it looks like she is not yet awakened. Not to worry though. She should be fine after she gets air back into her body."

"Can we go see her," Izuku asked.

"Yes you can, I will just be on my way now," the doctor left and the group entered the room Akumi was in.

Izuku, Akari, and Youta walked to the right side of the bed Akumi was laying on and Katsuki on the left side.

After confirming that she was alive Katsuki yells, "When you wake up, don't think you're a big shot for saving me. You too Deku! Don't think that just because your attempt at saving her went well that you can rub it in," and then leaves.

Izuku hearing what Katsuki said had connected the dots. Akumi was in that situation because she was looking for Katsuki and Katsuki must have been in danger because of him hanging on to All Might's leg and letting the sludge villain escape.

"This was my fault. If I had been stronger and not let Kaachan throw my notebook out the window none of this would have happened," Izuku said.

"No, it was my fault. If only I didn't let go of her and continued chasing her. I could have stopped this," said Youta.

"It wasn't anyone's fault. I would know," Akari de-escalates with tears in her eyes. "I'm sure if Akumi was awake she would say something like, stop moping around, I'm fine."

"You're right. But," Youta and Izuki said.

"No buts," Akari interjected, "It's what Akumi would have said."

With Izuku's dreams crushed by his favorite hero and his sister nearly dying on the same day he was devastated. "I think I need to be alone for a while." Izuku begins to leave the room.

"It wasn't your fault Izuku. Don't take on too much by yourself. It's not what Akumi would have wanted," Akari said, not looking at Izuku.

Izuku left without saying another word. Then after walking and wandering around outside for a while pondering as to why did it all go so wrong. Was it his fault, or was it Youta's fault, it might have even been All Might's fault. One thing is for sure if this is what it feels like to almost lose someone then maybe being a hero isn't all that glorious since he didn't want to cause this grief to them if something were to happen to himself because of his stupid dream. Izuku decided to head back home as the sun was beginning to set. On his way there All Might appears shouting, "I AM HERE!"

"All Might, what are you doing here," Izuku brooded, not even giving All Might a single glance.

"Well young man I wanted to talk to you in private," All Might said as he poofed into his unmuscular form coughing up blood.

"I don't want to talk right now, I just want my sister to be well again." Izuku walked past All Might not caring that he just deflated.

All Might wiped the blood off his face and said, "It's fine we can talk here since it's away from the reporters."

Izuki turned and faced All Might with guilt and a bit of anger in his eyes, "I don't want to hear it, All Might! Today was a terrible day, if only I had been stronger my sister would not have been in that situation! If only I didn't cling onto you when I did, that sludge villain would not have escaped! If only I didn't want to be a hero then maybe she wouldn't want to be one also!"

All Might paused for a moment, taken aback at what he just heard, "That's exactly why I'm here young man."

Izuku perks up after hearing that "What do you mean by that All Might?"

"You know how back at the rooftop I said you couldn't be a hero." Izuku was silent, remembering how All Might said he could not be a hero. "Well, I changed my mind after seeing what you did today," All Might said after a few seconds of silence.

"What I did. What did I do exactly, all I did was get in your way and I couldn't even help my sister." Izuku is now calming down and looking down at his hands. The hands that couldn't do anything but get in the way.

"That's where you're wrong, Izuku Midoriya. If it weren't for you I would just have been another bystander watching as your sister would have been killed. But your actions, running in without thinking, just trying to save someone while the other heroes were just standing idly around had inspired me to act."

Izuku was breaking down, he was just at his lowest of lows, and hearing his favorite hero, the number one hero, saying that he was the reason his sister was still alive made him cry. Not tears of relief. But tears of salvation, the salvation that carried him away from the darker path he was heading down.

"And that's why Izuku Midoriya you too can become a hero," All Might said and Izuku cried even harder clenching his chest. "I deemed you worthy of my power. My quirk is yours to inherit."

Izuku looks up at All Might with confusion, "Huh?"

(Back to first person)

I wake up to see I'm in another hospital again. There I didn't see anyone in the room so I got up to leave. I hear the door open and see Akari and Youta come in.

"Hey Akari, Youta how have you been," the two looked flabbergasted that I was awake and Akari quickly hugged me crying into my chest.

"Hey, what's with the waterworks, you too, Youta. Just how long have I been out?"

"You're late Akumi," Akari sobbed.

"You've been out for two days," Youta also sobs, wiping his tears.

"That long huh," I looked down at a crying Akari and hugged her back "Akari, I know I should not be saying this but look at me I'm fine and I will always be, and besides I've been asleep for much longer."

"What are you saying? You nearly died protecting Katsuki of all people. Why would you even do that if you don't like him," Akari asked.

"Just because I don't see eye to eye with Katsuki does not mean I wouldn't try to save him plus I'm perfectly fine and no one got injured too badly."

"That's not the problem here, Akumi. The problem is that we couldn't do anything when you were in trouble," Youta said looking downwards.

"It's fine, besides it was my fault for jumping in head first into that sludge thing," I shot a smile at him. I looked back at Akari and she looked back with her eyes glowing. "So what do you see Akari?"

"You need to talk with your brother. He's been acting strange lately," said Akari.

"Strange? How strange exactly?"

"He's been staying out late and leaving home early these last two days."

Staying out late and leaving home early, what could he be doing? This could be one of two things, either he's doing something illegal or something else that is not coming to my mind right now. "Hmmm. I think we should give him some time to himself. His sister nearly died after all. I think things should go back to normal once I go back."

Akari lets go of me and looks upset, "Don't say that everything would just go back to normal. What if they don't."

"Yeah, I agree with Akari. Akumi you need to get a grasp of the situation, you nearly died. Don't you feel anything at all," Youta voiced.

"Well…" I scratch my head for anything that might be different until I remembered something, "Oh no."

"What? What is it, Akumi," Akari asked in concern.

I knelt to the ground, "I missed two days' worth of school. NOOOO!"

"Is this really the time to be upset about missing school," Akari sighed.

"This isn't going to go anywhere. For now, I guess Akumi is fine. Let's just go back to normal."

"But, Youta, didn't we have to give "that" to Akumi."

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about "that"."

I got up and saw that Akari and Youta were standing by the door and were opening a bag, "What are you guys going to give me?"

They turn around and I see schoolwork, "Here's your homework."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
