Heart of a dragon V2
prologue
After yet ANOTHER beating from his former friend, izuku slowly walked home. After painfully walking for an hour, he made it home. "I'm home," izuku weakly called out. Not hearing anything, he decided to check the coffee table. After managing to get there, despite the pain, he saw that there was a note on the coffee table. "Izuku, i've gone out for the night. I've left some money so you can order out. I should be back sometime tomorrow. Signed, mom," izuku read out loud. Izuku then groaned out loud, while putting his hand in his hands. "Why today of all days?" he asked himself. Having had enough of the day, izuku decided that he was going to do something out of character for him: he went to his mom's secret stash, and grabbed the most potent bottle of alcohol she had.
Inko didn't know this, but izuku saw her drinking after a particularly bad night. He even saw her put the bottle away with her private stash. She didn't hide it as well as she thought she did. After a bit of searching, izuku saw a bottle with a name that grabbed his interest: dragonslayer. Izuku shrugged his shoulders. "Eh, it has an interesting name, so it must be good," he said as he grabbed two shot glasses, and poured himself a drink. The alcohol hit after two seconds. "Wow, this is some good stuff," izuku drunkenly said, before he stood up. "Gonna go walk," he slurred, before he grabbed the shot glasses.
Luckily, before he left the building, he remembered to lock the door. After locking the door, izuku went for a walk, stumbling along the way. "Man, i feel great," izuku slurred.
A few hours later
Izuku got to the forest about two hours outside the city. After reaching the forest, he saw a sign. "Beware of wild animals," izuku read out loud. "Hah, like i'm scared of wild animals. I bet they'd taste delicious," izuku said, before continuing on his walk. He continued his walk, before he got to a clearing, to which he saw a REALLY large something. "Woah~, it's a dragon," izuku cheered, before he tried to hug it.
"Get off of me, you pathetic human," a voice said. "Huh? Who said that?" izuku asked. "I did, the one you are hugging," the voice said. Izuku looked at the dragon. "You?" he asked in a drunken slur. "Yes, me. Now, i'd like to die in peace, unless you can remove that sword from my back…" the dragon said. Izuku looked up at the sword. "How did i not notice that?" he asked himself. "That looks like it hurts," he said. Just then, a metaphorical lightbulb appeared over his head. "I got it," he said. "Got what, human?" the dragon asked. "Imma pull that sword out," izuku declared, before he started to climb on her.
"Wha-? Get off me," the dragon ordered. "No. Nothing deserves to have a sword in their back," izuku drunkenly declared, before he started to pull on the sword. "Argh," the dragon roared in pain. "Stop that, you insignificant human! Not only will you kill me, but that sword will destroy your mind," the dragon warned him.
"I don't care, you're in pain, and i want to stop that pain," izuku said before he really started to pull on the sword, causing the dragon to roar in more pain. Izuku was surprised. "Hrg, the sword's fighting me, but i WON'T LOSE!" he declared, before he pulled with all the strength he had in his stick-thin body. Suddenly, the sword popped out of the dragon's back. Izuku fell to the ground and landed with a *thud* with the sword landing next to him, before it disappeared into motes of light, which then went into him. Izuku will have more than one surprise in the morning.
"*Groan*, thanks, human," the dragon said in relief. "You're welcome," izuku said. Izuku then perked up a bit. "I know, wanna have a drink with me?" he asked as he held a shot glass out towards her. "No thanks," the dragon said, turning its head to the side.
Izuku then laid on the ground and threw a fit, somehow not spilling the drink in his hand. "Come on, all i want to do is drink with someone else," he complained. "Alright, alright, fine," the dragon said, before it was covered in a red-orange light before she shrunk down into a human form. "Huh, you're a girl?" izuku asked (he stopped the fit when he saw the dragon changing shape). "Yes, i am," the dragon-in-human-form said. Said dragon was covered in a brown ragged cloak. She had eyes the color of fire, golden blonde hair fading into red at the tips and light brown horns on the sides of her head. When she reached out for the shot glass, the cloak she was wearing opened up a bit, revealing that she was wearing nothing under the cloak.
"Despite not liking this spell, i shall join you," the dragon said as she took the shot glass offered to her. After the dragon took the glass, izuku realized something. "Huh, i don't even know your name, miss," izuku said. "I'm tohru," tohru introduced herself. "I'm izuku, tohru. It's nice to meet you," izuku introduced him self. He the held his shot glass out to her. "Cheers," he said. Tohru held her glass out to his and clinked the glasses together. "Cheers," she said. They both downed their shots.
About an hour later
Now izuku was not the only one that was drunk. "I mean, come on, just because i have no power, doesn't mean that you should blatantly attack me, katsuki," izuku yelled. "Yeah, you're preaching to the choir, izuku," tohru yelled out. Izuku and tohru faced each other, tohru literally burped fire and threw the two of them into hysterics all over again, izuku was rolling on the ground and tohru was slamming an open hand onto the ground.
After they caught their breath, they calmed down. "You know," izuku began sombrely, getting tohru's attention. "You are the only person that actually CARES and gives a damn about me and whether i live or not," izuku said. "Izuku," tohru began, getting izuku's attention. You are one of the few people, dragon or otherwise, to actually treat me as an equal, while not caring about the consequences. It feels nice," tohru said.
Izuku stumbled over to her and gave her a hug, startling her, before she returned it. "I don't know about others, but if they can't see you for the incredible person you are, then they don't deserve to be with you," izuku said in a calm, if rather drunk, voice. Tohru clung to him and cried. After a few minutes, tohru stopped crying and pulled away from izuku. Izuku then checked the bottle of dragonslayer he brought. "Shit," he cursed. "What?" tohru asked. "We're out of dragonslayer, and i have to get home before my mom does," izuku complained.
Tohru though for a bit. She then perked her head up as she had an idea. "I've got it," she said. Izuku looked at her. "Got what?" he asked her. "I've got an idea that will solidify our friendship," she proposed. "Oh?" izuku asked. "Here it is: you eat my tail," tohru proposed. Izuku blushed at that. "Your tail?" he asked. "Yes," tohru said, before she reached behind her and grabbed her tail before pulling it off and gave it to izuku, "my tail," she finished.
Realizing that tohru meant her actual tail, izuku's blush vanished. "Oh, ok," he said before he grabbed it. Izuku had a thought. "By the way, tohru, do you have a place to live?" izuku asked. "no, i don't," she said. Then why not live with me?" izuku proposed. Tohru began to cry a bit. "I'd love to," she said happily. "Well, then," izuku began as he held up her tail, "here's to friendship," izuku said, before he took a bit out of her tail.
Izuku's eyes widened in shock. "This is DELICIOUS!" izuku said, before he started eating the tail with gusto. Tohru blushed when he said that. In dragon culture, when a male says that the tail of a female is delicious, it means that they were meant to be together. A few minutes later, izuku burped. "That was satisfying," he said. He got up and hugged tohru goodbye. "I hope to see you soon, tohru," he said, before he walked off, taking the nearly empty bottle of dragonslayer with him.
Tohru was watching him as he left. "Don't worry, my love. We will see each other. Sooner than you think," she promised softly, before she changed to her true form, curled up and fell asleep.
Morning
Izuku was peacefully sleeping in his bed, when there was noise that woke him up. "IZUKU MIDORIYA, WHAT DID YOU DO LAST NIGHT?!" a woman's voice called out in anger. Izuku groaned in pain, as he was unceremoniously awoken by the yelling, before he put his head under his pillow. A few moments after he did so, his mother barged into his room. "Well?! Answer me, young man," inko midoiya demanded.
"Mother," izuku groaned. "Right now, my head is REALLY killing me, and i don't remember what happened after one drink, so can you PLEASE not yell? it feels like I have jagged spikes piercing through my brain," izuku groaned. "Fine, and that hangover you're experiencing will be your punishment," inko said in a quieter voice.
On the mountain
We see a dragon waking up, stretching a bit, and took off.
Midoriya home
"Ugh, my head is killing me," izuku groaned as he got out of bed. "Maybe a shower will help get rid of it," he pondered before he gathered clean clothes and went to take a shower. Whether it helped or not, he was filthy from whatever happened. About 20 minutes later, he was feeling better, and his hangover was a bit better. Instead of jagged spikes running through his skull, it was now a dull throb. "Well, at least my head is a bit better," izuku said. He got dressed and went to the kitchen to make himself some breakfast. After he made a bowl of cereal and sat at the table, his stomach started to hurt. "Man, my stomach's hurting, too," izuku complained before he ate his breakfast.
With tohru
Tohru was flying towards the city nearby, before she cast a spell that caused her to glow a lime green.
At the midoriya apartment
"Mom, i'm going to class," izuku called out. "Alright, have a good day, sweety," inko yelled back. Izuku opened the door and ran to school.
In the skies above the city
Tohru was flying around the city, trying to find izuku, when she saw him leave his home. She followed him from the sky. When izuku went inside, she waited for hours, before she saw him come onto the roof of his school. He unknowingly sat with his back to her. So she started to gently breathe on his back.
With izuku
After izuku entered his class, it was the same as every day: the teacher droning on with katsuki yelling about how he'll be number one, while also threatening izuku. Hours later, it was time for lunch. So, izuku took his lunch to the roof, and sat on one of the benches. A few minutes after sitting there, he feels something breathing on his back. He slowly turned to look behind him, and saw a large green european style dragon. Seeing that she had her attention, tohru did a small roar at izuku, to show that she was there. Understandably, izuku grew scared.
Tohru then opened her jaws, saliva dripping from her sharp teeth and scaring izuku even more than he already was. What izuku did NOT expect, was a magic circle to appear in front of the open mouth of the dragon. Nor the dragon shrinking down to a bit taller than izuku in human form in a flash of light. The dragon-in-human-form jumped in glee. She was wearing a simple pink t-shirt with flower designs, a green skirt that goes halfway down her thigh, knee high socks and flat shoes. "Ta daa," she said happily, a dragon's tail appeared from under her skirt when she landed and her horns on the sides of her head. Tohru giggled at izuku's dumbfounded face.
"How have you been izuku?" tohru asked. At this point, many thoughts were racing through izuku's mind, before it landed on 'dream'. "Pretty boring, actually," he answered. "Do you mind if i join you for lunch?" she asked. "Oh, sure," izuku said, before he sat back down, with tohru sitting next to him. Izuku began feeding himself as well as tohru, having some indirect kisses. But hey, izuku thought it was a dream, so why not?
After izuku and tohru finished their shared lunch, the door to the roof slammed open. "There you are, deku," an angry voice said. Izuku flinched, something tohru saw. "Izuku, what's wrong?" she asked in concern.
Hearing another voice, a GIRL'S voice, caused katsuki to stop in his tracks. A smirk then appeared on his lips. "Well, lookie here: the worthless deku has a sympathizer," katsuki said. He then turned his attention to the girl. "Listen here, girl, if you know what's good for you, you will stop associating with the worthless meat sack you're with," katsuki said." After all, he's quirkless, so he has NO place among the elites," katsuki stated, before holding his hand out to her, fully expecting her to want to ditch izuku when she heard he's quirkless. "So?" the girl asked, surprising izuku and shocking katsuki. "I don't care if he's powerless or not," tohru stated, before she gave izuku a side-hug.
Growling at being defied by this girl, katsuki went to attack tohru. However, on instinct, izuku slammed a fist into the side of katsuki's face, sending him rolling across the roof. Izuku looked at his fist in shock. "I was never that strong, before," izuku said. Tohru turned to izuku. "Izuku, what do you think is happening?" tohru asked him. "A dream," izuku said. Tohru chuckled, then said "izuku, this is not a dream, it's real."
It hit izuku like a ton of bricks. "This is all real? You and the fact i hit katsuki?" he asked in a weak voice. Tohru grew a bit worried at the way he put that. "Yes, it is," she said, looking worriedly at izuku. "Oh, ok," izuku said, before his eyes rolled up to the back of his head and he fainted.
"IZUKU!" tohru yelled while fussing over him after he fainted.
After school
After izuku woke up from his fainting spell, him telling tohru that they will speak when he gets home (he then gives her directions to his home) and his day goes normally, except katsuki is unconscious in the nurse's office from izuku hitting him on the roof. After school ended, he went directly home. After walking for about 20 minutes, he got to his front door. "I'm home," izuku called out. "IZUKU!" tohru called out, before she lunged at him, before glomping him. "To…hru… can't…" izuku managed to get out, before he passed out from lack of air. When tohru felt izuku go slack, she pulled back and looked at his face, which was purple, with swirls replacing his eyes.
"IZUKU!" tohru cried out, before she took him to the couch and began to perform CPR on him. After about a minute, izuku gasped, coughed and began to greedily suck in air. A few minutes later, inko was with izuku and tohru. "Now, you're saying that we met last night?" izuku asked.
"Correct," tohru said happily.
Izuku shook his head a bit. "So, um, where did we meet?" izuku asked. "I'm asking, because last night is a total blur," izuku clarified. "the mountains. We met in the mountains," tohru said, her fist over her head. Izuku began to think back. "Ok, i think i'm remembering," he said. "A dragon?" he asked. "Apparently an injured and hilarious dragon," izuku stated. Just then, izuku remembered one of the things he said: "then why not live with me?" he remembered saying.
Izuku grew a look of shocked horror as he held his head in his hands. "I can't believe i proposed to a girl that i met earlier that night to live with me," he groaned. "I'm glad that i get to live my newest friend," tohru said, hands on her cheeks as she swooned, hearts around her eyes. Izuku wasn't paying attention to her, but his mother was, and she saw that tohru had a crush on her boy.
That night
"Night, mom, tohru," izuku said, before he went to his room, got onto his bed and passed out as soon as his head hit the pillow. "Tohru, a word," inko said. "Yes, mrs. midoriya?" tohru asked after she sat next to inko. "What happened when you met my boy?" she asked her.
Tohru explained everything that happened when she met izuku. Once she finished, she yawned, went to the sofa and fell asleep upon it. Seeing as she was the only one awake, inko decided to go to bed, as well.
In izuku's room
Izuku began scratching himself. Why was he scratching himself? Because something was growing out of his body. Once what was coming out finished coming out, izuku relaxed. Upon closer inspection, the stuff that came out of his body looked to be scales.
Morning
It was morning. The birds were chirping. All was peac- "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~" a male scream came out of nowhere.
Izuku's room
The scene changes to izuku's room, where we see izuku freaking the fuck out. "Where did these scales come from?" the panic was along that line. Since the scream woke her up, tohru barged into izuku's room, to see what was wrong. Upon seeing the scales, tohru froze. Looks like the effects are already happening, tohru thought to herself. Inko appeared at izuku's door, then promptly fainted. "MOM/MRS. MIDORIYA!" izuku and tohru shouted in panic.
Once inko woke up, the three of them sat at the table, where tohru began to explain. "So, what's happening to izuku, is because he ate your literal tail, which you gave to him willingly?" inko asked. Tohru nodded, facing the table. "Is there any way to reverse it?" inko asked. "The scales, bones and meat from my tail have already digested in his stomach. If he had just eaten it, and he threw it up, then it would've not done anything. However, since it already digested in his stomach, there was a small chance of him turning into a dragon," tohru explained.
Izuku froze at that. "I'm becoming a dragon?" izuku asked. Tohru nodded, as she prepared herself for some yelling directed at her. "AWESOME!" izuku yelled. "Huh?" inko and tohru asked, dumbfounded. "I think becoming a dragon is awesome," izuku said. Tohru slumped in the chair in relief that he wasn't going to yell at her. Tohru pulled herself together. "Now that the change has begun, there is a way to make the transition from human to dragon go faster," tohru proposed.
"What is it?" izuku asked. "I train you as hard as i can, without killing you. It'll force the transition to go faster. After that, i can teach you how to actually fight, how to make your clothes out of your scales breathe your element, teach you magic and, at the end, help you achieve the full dragon transformation," tohru said. "What do you say?" she asked.
Inko looked like she was DESPERATELY hoping that izuku would turn down the offer. Izuku smiled. "When do we start?" he asked. "As soon as we get to an open area," tohru said. "How about dagobah beach?" izuku proposed. "It's a landfill, so it can double as strength training," izuku said.
"Perfect," tohru said. Izuku then led tohru to dagobah beach. After getting there, tohru was shocked. "Wha-?! Just how much garbage is here?" she demanded. "Who knows? People use this beach as an illegal trash site," izuku explained.
"Alright, let's begin your training," tohru said, before she attacked. Izuku yelped, and blocked her attack, unconsciously bringing out more scales to defend himself. "Nicely done, izuku," tohru complimented him as she relentlessly attacked him. After attacking him for a few minutes, tohru accidentally left herself open. Izuku noticed the opening. Gathering some of his draconic strength, izuku jabbed at the opening, causing tohru's breath to be forcefully expelled from her lungs, when he jabbed at her stomach, causing tohru to collapse to the ground four feet away.
After she stood back up, and rubbed her stomach in a bit of pain. "Nicely done, izuku," tohru complimented him. Izuku blushed at the compliment. "thanks, tohru," izuku said. The result of the spar is that the scales were now all out of his body. "The next step is to turn your limbs draconic," tohru said.
Izuku nodded at that. Izuku focused as hard as he could. He felt a flash of pain, before his limbs turned draconic. Tohru took one of his hands into hers, before she examined it. "Beautiful," she murmured. "Tohru?" izuku asked, which snapped tohru out of her trance.
"*ahem*," she coughed into her fist, pretending that she wasn't entranced by izuku's draconic hand. "The third step is to turn your scales into clothing," she explained. Izuku blushed at that. "What?" he asked. "The third step is to turn your scales into clothing," she repeated. Seeing as he was going to pass out from the amount of blood going to his head, she decided on a slight alternative. "Izuku," she began, getting his attention. "Remember what i was wearing after i turned into a human the first time?" she asked. Izuku blushed as he nodded. "Imagine your scales turning into a cloak," she said. However, just before izuku could attempt it, she decided to warn him. "Should you succeed, you won't need clothes, since you can just form clothes out of your scales. However, the attempt WILL shred the clothes you're currently wearing," she said.
Izuku nodded, before he closed his eyes. After a moment, there were multiple ripping noises, as a cloak appeared around izuku. Blushing, izuku turned around and opened his cloak, to see if at least his socks and shoes survived.
They did not.
Blushing in embarrassment, izuku closed his cloak, and turned to face tohru. Guessing his problem, tohru decided to help. "Just picture what you want to wear," she said. Izuku pictured what he wanted to wear, and his scales changed accordingly.
It was a standard boys gym uniform.
"Now, for the final bit today, simply meditate, and wait for your magic to manifest itself," tohru instructed. Izuku nodded and sat indian style, hands on his knees and eyes closed. After a few hours of meditating, izuku felt something. Without moving from his position, or opening his eyes, izuku decided to call out, "i found something" to tohru.
"Congratulations, izuku. Now, pull the magic towards you, where it can become one with you," tohru instructed him. Izuku nodded and did as he was told. However, the magic was fighting him. No matter how hard he tried to pull, the magic kept resisting him. Then izuku had an idea. He stopped pulling at it and started to coax it towards him, leaving himself open for his magic to enter and fuse with him.
After a few minutes of coaxing, his magic entered him. When it did, green vegetation appeared on the sand around izuku. Tohru was surprised. "A nature dragon? They are among the rarest of dragons," tohru murmured to herself. Izuku's eyes opened, and he saw all the nature around him. "Wow," he murmured to himself.
Izuku then stood up and formed vines out of his mana. "Hmm, i wonder…" he whispered to himself, before he tried lashing at a fridge in an attempt to wrap the vines around it. "Not gonna work. Perhaps this…" he said, before the vine moved on its own and wrapped around the fridge. "Nice," izuku said, before he tried to pull on the vine, which tore a bit. After sending his magic into the vine, healing it, he tried strengthening it and pulled. The result? The fridge came flying at him. Izuku yelped, the vines wrapped around his forearms and hands, before thrusting his hands out to stop the fridge.
The result?
There was a MASSIVE dent on the door of the fridge. Tohru was surprised, and blushing pretty badly. "Nicely done, izuku. How about we stop here for today?" tohru proposed. "Alright," izuku said, before the vine gauntlets disappeared back into his magic. "The only thing left is to spar, to help you get control of your strength, and you achieving the full dragon form," tohru explained, before izuku and tohru went home.
