It was our hour-long lunch break time. "Ida you were holding out on us. Hiding that super secret move!" Said Uraraka.

"Rest assured it wasn't my intention to deceive you. I was just being strategic. I also wanted to show that I could measure up to the others," said Ida.

"You guys are always trying to measure up to each other. Hey, wait. Where's Deku?"

"I know. He is having a super serious special secret talk with Todoroki," I say.

"A super serious special secret talk with Todoroki," asked Ida.

"Don't worry. I took a look at Todoroki before Izuku left with him. It didn't seem like he wanted to hurt him. Just like Akumi said, a super serious special secret talk," said Akari.

"Really? You sure do know how people think," said Uraraka.

"I can never seem to read Akumi though. Even though we're close friends."

"Ok, I'm back. Uh, where's Izuku," asked Youta as he arrived.

"Having a super serious talk with Todoroki right now," I say. "But enough of Izuku. How about you two tell me how you two got into U.A.."

"Right. For me, it was quite easy. I went through the same test you did without you knowing. Why I didn't tell you. Well, I wanted to surprise you when our class did a collaboration," said Youta.

"Where is the complicated part in your story? And what happened to you wanting to become a policeman," I say.

"Well, I had a change of heart with a little talking with Akari and Izuku. It got complicated because your class got attacked by the league of villains. And."

"Right...? Wait when did that happen," I sigh. "So what's your reason Akari," I say doubting Youta.

"I was busy."

"You were busy," I questioned. "Doing what?"

"Well there was this," she points to her goggles, "It took a lot of time to make these. Also getting in the support course is way harder than you think."

"But that doesn't explain why you didn't contact me or Youta. Also if you were around why didn't you say anything to Izuku, Youta, or me."

Akari blushes a bit, "I… I was...Nervous. It's been a long time. It'd be awkward for me if I just showed up after what you guys did for me."

"Was that really it. You two aren't hiding anything from me are you," I say.

Akari seems very hesitant about saying something but then Youta shouts, "Of course not!"

"Oh. Get over here you two," I put my hands around both of them and hugged them.

"They are good friends those three," said Ida.

"Why does it look like we're the odd ones out in this situation," Uraraka laughed.

I position myself to face Uraka and Ida while still in the hug, "Oh. Don't be like that Uraraka, Ida. If anything. You guys not having Izuku around is like two rough gemstones with no polisher. Valuable alone but doesn't shine as much. Of course the same could be said to us."

"You guys can say without Akumi here. Akari and I would have never been as close of friends," said Youta.

"I guess that is true. Under normal circumstances Ida and I wouldn't have really had time to talk to each other if it wasn't for Izuku," said Uraraka with Ida nodding in agreement.

We get out of the hug and I say, "Alright on to the next thing. Lunch. The saving grace of any workday."

"Wait. Aren't we forgetting something," said Akari.

"Now that you mention it. It does feel like we are forgetting someone," said Youta.

"Oh, that's right. Where was the girl in your team during the cavalry battle," said Uraraka.

"What girl. Wasn't it just Akari, Youta, and I in a team," I say.

"No, there was definitely someone else in your team," said Ida.

"We can worry about that later. Let's go get lunch before it's too late," I say. We agreed to talk about this other team member after we had lunch. We head towards the cafeteria.

(Third Person)
"Um… You wanted to talk? The dining hall will be packed if we don't hurry… Um…" Izuku said nervously.

Todoroki glares at Izuku, "You overwhelmed me. So much so that I broke my own pledge. Ida, Kaminari, Yaoyorozu, Tokoyami, Uraraka… None of them felt it. In that last instant, I was the only one feeling that pressure."

Izuku could tell he was referring to the fight All Might had with the nomu, "So… What're you saying?"

"I felt the same pressure coming from you," Todoroki put a hand up to his face. "So… Are you All might's illegitimate child or something?"

Izuku was dumbfounded, "Nah. I, well. Obviously, if I really were his kid, I'd try to deny it, so I realize I don't sound very convincing here… But, no, that's not it…"

"Then what about your sister. I heard she was adopted," Todoroki interrupted.

"A-Akumi?! Well yeah, she is my adoptive sister but she isn't similar to All Might at all. And she doesn't even remember her actual parents so who's to say that All Might is or isn't. But if she was, wouldn't All Might recognize her in an instant if she went missing…" Izuku goes on to murmur some more then stops and says, "So… Let me ask you, then. Why would you think that I…"

"No, that's not it... Interesting way to phrase it. And your sister not remembering her real parents. There's definitely something you and your sister are hiding. I'm sure of it. You know my father is Endeavor. The second greatest hero of all time. So if you or your sister is connected to the number one guy, then… All the more reason for me to crush you."

"But why. Why only tell me and not Akumi."

"Quirk marriages. You've heard of them, yeah? They started becoming a problem… During the second or third generation after quirks appeared. Strong individuals would choose a partner and force them into marriage for the sole purpose of passing on a strengthened version of their own quirk. Those earlier generations were lacking in ethics. With his wealth and fame, my father made my mother's family agree to the marriage. All to get his hands on her quirk. Raising me as a hero who could exceed All Might, just to fulfill his own ambitions. I hate it! Being no more than a tool for that human garbage."

Todoroki put his hand on his face with a burn mark."As I remember it, mom was always crying… I can't stand to see that left side of yours… She said, before throwing scalding water in my face. In short not using my left side against you was my revenge on him. Never using my rotten father's quirk… No… By rising to the top without using it… I'll have denied him everything." Todoroki takes his hand off his face and puts it in his pocket. "I didn't tell this to your sister since she already seems to see right through all of us. She knows what I'm going to say before I say it. I haven't known your sister for long but it looks like she already knows every little thing about me."

Izuku doesn't say anything but looks down at Todoroki with sweat drops down his face. "Your connection with all might… Keep it to yourself if you want. Either way, I'll rise above you with just my right side." Todoroki started walking away. "Sorry for wasting your time. It looked like you were going to reminisce with old friends."

Izuku didn't know how to respond but wanting to say something he walked forward toward Todoroki and stopped, "I've… Always had help. No matter the situation… I… I've only come this far because other people helped me. All Might… I wanna be like him… For that, I have to become the strongest. It might seem like a lame motivation compared to yours… But I'm not gonna lose. All the people who've helped me… That's how I'll repay them! As for my sister. She may already know a lot of things about us. Almost like she can see the future, but she knows very little about herself. So let me return your declaration of war with my own… I'm going to beat you!"

(First Person)
We had just gotten our lunch when a pretentious boy came up to us, "Youta, I've come to congratulate you on making it to second place. I can see that class-A had to rely on Class-B's BEST player to win. Oh, if only-"

Then Kendo comes in and chops the boy on the neck, "Monoma is back at it again."

"Thanks, Kendo," said Youta.

"No problem. And Hello. We should actually get acquainted since it seems like we might see each other often. I'll go first. My name is Itsuka Kendo."

I take the second initiative, "My name is Akumi Midoriya."

"Pleasure to meet you, my name is Akari Shimizu." Akari bowed.

"Hello, my name is Ochako Uraraka." Uraraka waves an arm.

"And I am Tenya Ida." Ida salutes.

"Oh right, this here is Neito Monoma. He's a good person. He just has a way to express himself," said Kendo holding the unconscious boy in front of us.

"Sorry that I went off plan and couldn't help out class-B more. I wanted to surprise Akumi. Then Akari showed up. And—"

"Alright, alright. I get it. You haven't seen your friends in a while and wanted to be with them. It's fine. Like how Tetsutetsu put it, you do you," said Kendo.

"Alright let's get a table. Standing here is not making our food disappear," I say.

"Right, there's an open table over there. Come on," said Uraraka. We all walked over to the empty table and three more students from class-B joined us, the ones that were in Kendo's team.

The boy took Monoma and left. We reintroduced each other to the two girls that stayed and they introduced themselves as Yanagi Reiko and Tokage Setsuna.

"It's a shame that not more of class-B's students could make it in the top five but it's fine. You alone, was enough," said Kendo.

"So like what. He's the ace in your class now," I asked.

"Somewhat like that. Though Youta didn't want to be class president or vice president. He's said he wasn't good at leading his team but during our battle training he devastated the other team only using his teammates' quirks."

"Not wanting to be class president or vice president. That sounds kinda like you Akumi," said Uraraka.

"I see her influence rubs off onto her friends as well," said Ida.

"Aww, shucks guys. You're making me blush," I scratch the back of my head.

"It's a bad influence if you asked me. Her influence brings you to tears because you rely on her so much," said Akari.

"Rely…" I hear Uraraka whisper to herself, which catches my ear. I also notice Akari has her quirk activated since the beginning of our conversation.

Yaoyorozu came up to us, "Uraraka, Akumi do you have a moment?"

"Oh, Yaoyorozu. Yeah, what is it," I say.

"I was just informed by Mineta that us girls had to be in the cheer squad after lunch. I wanted to let you know since it's almost time for the next event."

"Really now, that's the first I heard of it," said Kendo.

"Oh. You are from class one-B correct. Sorry for intruding on your conversation. I'm class one-A's vice president Momo Yaoyorozu."

"Don't worry about that. We weren't talking about anything important. I'm Itsuka Kendo class one-B's president. These two are Yanagi Reiko and Tokage Setsuna."

"Oh, and these are my old friends. Youta, also from class one-B and Akari from the support course."

"It's nice to meet you all," Yaoyorozu bowed.

"Going back to the cheerleading thing. That sounds like fun. We should do it Uraraka," I say.

"You do know that it's not a requirement to be in the cheer squad right. In fact, I don't even think we're supposed to be in the cheer squad," said Akari.

"But I heard from Mineta and Kaminari that they confirmed it with Aizawa sensei," said Yaoyorozu, in a bit of a conflicted manner.

"What do you think, Akumi," asked Akari.

"No comment. Though it would be fun like I said."

"We haven't heard anything about needing to be in cheerleading. I guess it's an exclusive class-A thing," said Kendo.

"There's definitely something up with this. But if Akumi wants it to happen it can't be all that bad," said Akari.

"So then... Before I forget, here is the uniform," Yaoyorozu hands Uraraka and me each a cheerleading uniform. "I'm going to need to tell the others so you guys can go ahead first."

"Alright," I say as Yaoyorozu leaves. "Well. Uraraka. Let's get to changing." She doesn't respond, "Uraraka?"

"Ahh. Huh?! Oh, yeah let's go," Uraraka was a bit startled.

"We'll be back guys," I waved goodbye to the group. Uraraka and I got up and headed towards our changing room, After entering our changing room we changed into the orange cheerleading uniform, "That looks good on you Uraraka."

"Thanks. Same to you…" Uraraka sounded a bit dejected.

I think I know what was wrong with Uraraka right now so I say, "Uraraka. I've been through it too. Thinking that I'm using someone."

"Huh. Akumi, what are you saying? I'm not going through anything." She looked at me confused.

"The best thing you can do to get out of your predicament is to be true to yourself. But you can only do that when push comes to shove. So for now let's forget about it and enjoy cheering together."

"Ummm. Sorry for interrupting, but I'm here," we hear Hagakure.

"Hagakure!? You're here. When? And where?" I look around and don't see her.

"Well I was told by Jiro we needed to be in the cheer squad so I headed here to change," Hagakure picked up a pom-pom. "Then you guys came in and I thought to play a prank on you two... I'm sorry I listen in on your private matters."

I sigh, "It's fine... Just don't say anything to anyone, what you heard here," I say.

"You got it," Hagakure cheered.

Then the door opened and the rest of the girls from class one-A joined us. We've all changed into the uniform as it was time for the next event to take place.

As we walked out we heard Present Mic on the announcer saying, "Before we get to the final event, I've got news for all those out of the running! This is still a sports festival, so we've prepared another event for all participants. We even brought in cheerleaders from America to get you pumped up… What's this? Class-A? Looks like they're going full-on fan service!"

"Mineta! Kaminari! You Tricked Us," Yaoyorozu yells in anger and embarrassment. She calms down as she lumps over, "How'd I not notice when the clues were right in front of me."

"Those idiots…" said Jiro.

"Still time until the main event. No sense in sitting around," said Hagakure shaking the pom-poms. "Why not just go with it!? Could be fun!"

"Yeah. I kinda already knew this was a trick but thought it would be fun!" I go next to Hagakure and cheer with her.

"At least you two are enjoying this," said Tsuyu.

"Hope everyone enjoys this little recreational competition! Once that's over, we're on to the final event. Between the twenty members of the five winning teams… We'll have a tournament! A series of one-on-one battles! With the finals being a three-way Free-For-All!"

"A tournament, Huh? So we'll be up in that ring I see on TV every year," said Kirishima.

"Was it a tournament last year too," asked Ashido.

"The format's always different, but most years involve some kind of head-to-head competition," Sero answered.

"The matchup will be decided by drawing lots," Midnight picks up a box with Lots written on it. "Once that's settled, we'll move on to the festivities and then the tournament itself! It's up to each of you twenty finalists whether or not you participate in the fun. I expect some of you would rather take a breather and save your strength. Now let's start with the first-place team…"

"Um… Excuse me," Ojiro said with his hand up. " I'd… like to drop out."

"Ojiro! No way," said Uraraka.

"But this is a rare chance for you to get scouted," said Yaoyorozu.

"The Calvary Battle… I have no memories of anything that happened up until the tail end. It's probably his quirk that did it… I know this is a great opportunity. And I know how stupid it must seem to throw it away… But this final tournament… Everyone else made it here by their own strength. Yet I'm standing here, and I don't even know how or why. I just can't take it."

"You're thinking about it too hard! Just show what you're made of in the tournament," said Hagakure.

"By that logic, I shouldn't really be here either," said Ashido.

"No… I'm talking about my pride, here… I don't think it's right. And why are all the girls dressed in cheerleading uniforms?"

Then a student from class-B spoke up, "I can't remember anything either… I wanna withdraw too! This is a contest of skill… letting someone who didn't do anything advance… doesn't it defeat the whole point of the sports festival?"

"These guys! So manly," said Kirishima.

"How naive," we hear Midnight say. "I like it. Shoda and Ojiro have officially withdrawn! Replacing those two will be members of team kendo who took sixth place…"

"If it's going to be like that… shouldn't it be them instead?" Kendo points to Tetsutetsu, "I mean, we were immobilized practically the whole time. But they were giving it their all to keep what they had until the very end. Team Tetsutetsu. Don't worry we're not colluding or anything. This just feels right."

"Y… You Guys," we hear Tetsutetsu yell.

"So be it. Tetsutetsu and Shiozaki bring us back to 20 competitors!" With that out of the way, we draw lots assigned by number. We went and drew lots, "And here are the matchups." The matchups were different except for the beginning and end of the first round.

First up is Izuku vs. Shinzo. Next is Todoroki against Tokoyami. After them is me and Sero. Ida is against Hatsume fourth. Shiozaki and Akari after them. Then Kaminari against... Maeko? Maeko was here? Was she the person in our team Ida talked about? How did I forget? But I can't think about that now. Ashido vs. Aoyama seventh. Tokoyami vs. Yaoyorozu eighth. Tetsutetsu vs. Kirishima ninth. And lastly Uraraka vs. Katsuki.

After reading the matchups I immediately looked around to see if Maeko was nearby. But no luck she was nowhere in sight. I also couldn't see Youta anywhere. He's probably trying to prepare himself. Looking for Akari she was also nowhere in sight. Just where could they all be?

"Hey Akumi do you want to join us in our cheering formation," said Ashido.

"Huh. What cheering formation," I asked.

"I already asked Tsu, Uraraka, and Hagakure. Jiro was kinda not into it, so we need more convincing," Ashido points to Jiro and Jiro sending me vibes that are trying to make me say no.

"Um. Ok sure," I say as Jiro dispirited.

"Yes! Alright. We don't really have anything planned but just try and copy what I do," Ashido starts with a simple arm movement side to side with the pom-poms. Squatted, bending her knees back like sitting on a chair. Then jumps in the air landing back down and doing a twist. "Then rinse and repeat. We can move on to harder performances later or just dance however you girls like."

We danced and followed the steps that we saw together. After we did that for a while we tried to do something grander but we weren't very coordinated so we decided to just cheer with the basic moves we know. Though Jiro and Yaoyorozu stayed in the back not moving much.

The next few festivities were fun to watch. The students scramble around to find the item on their card, racing with a giant ball, and a good game of capture the flags.

It was almost time for the tournament to start and so we changed back into our gym uniform. Izuku was up and I still don't see Akari, Maeko, or Youta anywhere. I slapped Izuku on the back for good luck and then headed to the sitting area for our class. I take a seat next to Uraraka and Ida.

"So Izuku is first up. I wonder how things are going to play out," said Uraraka.

"Want some spoilers. I know who's going to win this fight," I say.

"I don't doubt your foresight but don't you think it is too soon to know for sure who's going to win," said Ida.

"Well, you know that kid that is going up against Izuku?" Ida and Uraraka nod. "He doesn't have much experience in hand to hand and his quirk isn't one to physically do anything. So all Izuku has to do is make sure he doesn't slip and he wins. But knowing Izuku, he probably won't slip..." I said knowing that he will but hoping he doesn't.

"Slip? How is Izuku going to slip," ask Uraraka.

"Enough spoiling for now let's just watch," I say.

"The First Match! Making a weird face despite his excellent performance, It's Izuku Midoriya From The Hero Course! Versus… Sorry, but this guy hasn't really done anything to stand out yet! It's Hitoshi Shinso, From General Studies! The Rules Are Simple! Win by knocking your opponent out of the ring, immobilizing them, or getting them to say, I Give Up! Bring the pain! We've got our good old Recovery Girl on standby! And Fight dirty if you must! Ethics have no meaning here! Well, of course going for the kill is a Big No-No! You'll be disqualified! Because a true hero's fists fly only when in pursuit of villains!" The crowd noise level went up as Present Mic finished. "READYYYYYYYY! START"

Immediately Izuku charged at Shinso and as soon as he did that he froze. "Dammit Midoriya! I warned you!" Shouted Ojiro.

"Hey, Hey, What's wrong? This battle's just beginning. Show us some spirit! Mere seconds into the match, Midoriya's… Frozen in place?! Looking confused, he's not even twitching!"

I facepalmed and sighed, "Izuku still fell for it."

"Did you know about this Akumi," asked Ida.

"Yeah. But it's not over until it's over. Izuku still has one chance."

"Really. What can he do," asked Uraraka.

"Again just watch, it's going to be fine," I say as Izuku is now slowly walking out of the ring.

As Izuku was about to walk out of the ring and everyone was at the edge of their seats. Suddenly there was a huge gust of wind coming from Izuku. "What's This…? MIDORIYA! HE STOPPED?!" And the crowd goes wild.

Izuku then charged at Shinzo again. This time not pausing and pushing Shinso back closer and closer to the edge of the ring. Shinso tried his hardest to resist punching Izuku in the face getting out of the way and try to push Izuku out of the ring. But Izuku grabbed Shinso's arm and threw him over his shoulder out of the ring.

"Shinso Is Out Of The Ring! Midoriya Moves On To The Second Round!" Midnight announced.

"Wow, that first match was more intense than I would have thought," I say and take a breath.

"But didn't you already know the outcome," said Uraraka.

"Well, I had a guess. But seeing it for real is a different thing."

"Yeah. I guess you're right. Hopefully Izuku gets his fingers healed."

We wait as the next match is about to happen and Izuku joins us. Todoroki and Tokoyami didn't fight in the original so I really wonder how it's going to play out. If it was after the sports fest Todoroki would win quite easily but… Wait, how would Todoroki win easily. Using his fire of course but why? It hurts my head. I know it, but don't know... Memories come back to me already.

"Akumi are you ok. You seem to be spacing out," said Izuku.

"Huh, oh yeah. Just thinking how this is going to play out is all."

"So who do you guys think is going to win this round," asked Uraraka.

"I say Todoroki. But I don't know how," I say.

"In overall power, Todoroki would have the advantage with his fire and ice," said Ida.

"But that's the problem. He doesn't use his fire in fights. So Tokoyami has a pretty big chance," I say. "Whoops. That slipped out."

"Wait, you know why he doesn't use his fire-side," Izuku asked in shock.

"It's a secret," then suddenly a huge ice glacier formed in front of us. Tokoyami managed to dodge but didn't make it out entirely unscathed we hear from Present Mic. The match didn't last very long after. I heard Todoroki doing another ice glacier towards Tokoyami immobilizing him.

When Todoroki was melting his ice I said, "It's my turn to go up. Be back guys."

They all wished Sero and me good luck as we made our way to the ring. "Third Match. Here they are! The top placer in all events! Second only by her virtue! Akumi Midoriya of the hero course! Versus! The cream of the top! Yet this guy's somehow still as plain as they come! Hanta Sero of the hero course!" The crowd cheers as Sero and I give each other a good staring contest. Then after a few seconds, Present Mic yelled, "START!"

I immediately absorbed air as Sero started stretching then said, "Hrm… I don't really feel like winning… But I don't feel like losing either!" Sero shoots tape from his elbows at me.

Thanks to Sero taking a bit of time to stretch I had enough time to take in air and took off to the sky dodging his tape entirely. "I hate doing this because it hurts me too, but I feel

like winning right now." I must have accidentally absorbed some of the excitement in the air because I felt daring to do something flashy.

Sero's tape couldn't reach me because I was pretty high up. I see him try to reach me but gravity does its work as the tape and I fall. I absorbed light and air as I fell towards Sero head first. He attempted to tape me again but this time I yelled, "Bright!" Then released a big flash of light blinding me and probably everyone else who can't look directly into blinding lights, but only for a moment and in that brief moment.

I had already done this many times before attending U.A. against Youta, my training buddy. For our ten months that I experimented with my quirk. A special move that I haven't done in a while. I land down next to Sero, who was still disoriented, using minimal air then I yell, "Wind!" Blasting a gust of air point blank on Sero pushing him out of the ring.

Bright Wind, not a very creative name but it's a move that blinds the opponent with light then depending on the situation uses wind to carry them or me out. Something I only planned on using as a runaway tactic for one very specific moment but I can't remember.

"Sero is out of the ring! Akumi moves on to the second round," I hear from Midnight.

"Amazing! In a literal flash! Akumi has sent Sero out of the ring," Present Mic announced.

"Hey Sero. Are you ok? Not blind or anything right," I walked over to Sero who was on the ground rubbing his eyes.

"Ha. Well, I didn't expect that. But yeah not blind," Sero says as I help him up.

"Sorry for the flash. I don't even know why I used it so early on."

"At least I was taken out with a special move. Man, I couldn't even touch you." Sero and I then head back to the seating area. We passed Kaminar along the way as he was preparing for his match and wished him good luck on his match.

When we arrived back at the seating Uraraka said, "Even Akumi is hiding secret moves."

"Well yeah. With my quirk, I can do a lot of things. I only used air because it's so easy to use. What I can use right now is temperature, light, and emotions. Which reminds me. I haven't got to show everyone here what I can do, so everyone is in for a surprise. Even for you Izuku."

"I also have a special move, but just how many techniques have you got prepared for this," asked Ida.

"Right now, depending on who I will fight next. I got two. But you guys have to wait and see. I assume Izuku can guess."

Ida and Uraraka looked at Izuku then Izuku got pressured to say something. "Well, the matchups are either Akari or the girl from class one-B. With Akari, you would probably try to overwhelm her with wind and keep a distance. With the girl from class one-B you would, because of her quirk, most likely use the same move like the one you used on Sero."

"Come on Izuku, you're thinking too small. Remember to remove the safety before wanting to fire a gun. I know you're going to break fingers. So I might as well show the crowd that I am your sister and that my quirk can break myself too."

"What are you talking about Akumi? Are you planning to do something dangerous," said a concerned Ida.

Izuku started muttering, "No. She's not, especially if it was with Akari. I haven't seen it done but if we've only seen her using her quirk with her holding back then… Like me some moves hurt her a lot more than just…" Izuku then sounded very concerned, "You can't be planning to over exert yourself this early on! Your quirk is going to malfunction again."

"Oh come on, your one to talk. Mr. I break my bones. Compared to what damage you do to yourself mine is but a scratch. And did you forget what you said at the start of this festival? Everyone is giving it their all me included."

"... Your right. But still." He tried to rebuke.

"No buts, let's just watch and enjoy the match. All this talk is boring anyway. I wonder if Akari will win." I say then Izuku drops the subject and quickly scrambles to pick up his notebook and pen.

I didn't get to hear Akari or Shiozaki's intro but we did get to hear Present Mic yell start again. Akari was now wearing different support equipment. I guess that's why she disappeared. Though she had on a similar pair of goggles on.

(Third Person Perspective Of The Fight)
The match with Akari and Shiozaki had just started. "I know not to underestimate one of Youta's friends based on what he can do," said Shiozaki. "But I also know not to overestimate them."

Vines comes from below Akari, "That's a little discerning. I would have liked it if you were to underestimate me. But Youta is pretty strong so there is no helping it," Akari says as she already knew that the vines were coming and jumped backward.

The vines followed Akari. "There's no denying that. But just how much can your support items get you."

"I'm glad to hear that." Akari activated her quirk and saw that most of the copies are from the vines closer to her head. "Let me show you." Akari smiled and pressed a button combination on her right gauntlet. A razor formed out of the gauntlet and started spinning as it cuts the vines.

"I'm a bit disappointed if that was all you got," The vine continued their assault on Akari.

Akari saw that when she cut the vines the copies she saw grew closer and closer towards the ends. Getting in closer while still cutting the vines with the razor she was now close enough to the copies to use her trump card that can counter emitters that can control something as long as she can reach the person. But this case is special since the vines that Shiozaki controls are connected to her meaning she doesn't need to get too close to her to use it. Akari touched the vines that showed copies with her left gauntlet.

"What?! What did you do!?" Shiozaki shouts in confusion. "I knew not to underestimate one of Youta's old friends but I didn't know she could do this," Shiozaki thought.

"What's this! Shiozaki's vine suddenly retracted on its own! Just what did Shimizu do. Even I don't know but what I do know is that it's not her quirk but the equipment she uses." Present Mic announced.

"I think you over underestimated me with my first move," Akari said as she rushed at Shiozaki.

Shiozaki was now stressing trying to move her vines as she ready herself just in case her vines wouldn't respond and that she had to engage in hand-to-hand combat. Akari got to arm's length of Shiozaki and quickly pressed a button on her left boot.

Shiozaki noticed that she could control her vines again. "I don't know what you did but it won't change the fact that I will win." The vines then rushed forward towards Akari.

"I'm not so sure about that." The boot plants itself onto the ground. Akari then pressed another button combination on her right gauntlet, cutting the vine before retracting the razor.

"What are you planning to bring out this time," Shiozaki said and she was about to back away.

"It's too late to back out now. I'm sorry for this." The right gauntlet started to make a rotating sound. Shiozaki anticipating something from the right arm targeted her vines towards it. "It's the left gauntlet you should pay attention to."

"It looks like Shimizu is planning something big! Do you hear that noise? I'm at a loss as to what it is but it sounds like it's getting charged for a big finisher!" Said Present Mic.

"You should have done your research. The left gauntlet can emulate the activation of emitter quirks. She showed us its usage during the obstacle race and cavalry battle when she used it on Akumi Midoriya. And the right gauntlet is a multi-tool. When specific button combinations are pressed it can bring something like the rotating razor we saw to something as simple as a spoon. As for the noise, it's generating. It's probably the electric charge that it is generating for a powerful impact." Eraser Head announced through the announcer unenthusiastically.

"There you have it, folks! It looks like this support course student isn't one to be underestimated! And for those who are wondering how she could use these support items so effectively! Akari Shimizu, quirk: See Through! She can see colors that tell her what the other is feeling so don't try and trick her because she can see right through you. But that's not all, with the goggles she has on, enhances her quirk vision to be able to tell exactly what to use and when to use it.

Akari touches the vines again which contain the copies and the vines retract, "What!? Again!"

The rotation sound becomes faster and loud enough for the entire crowd to hear. Akari then thrust her palm into Shiozaki's abdomen with the right gauntlet. The gauntlet's noise came to a sudden stop as the electricity went into a shockwave along with some of the excess electricity traveling from the gauntlet to Shiozaki sending her out of the ring. Akari, holding her right arm, felt quite the considerate amount of pain from her right arm because of the recoil of the shockwave and electricity generated so close to her.

"Shiozaki is out of the ring, Akari moves on to the next round," we hear from Midnight.

"What An Upset! These Support Students Are Not To Be Taken Lightly! I have no clue on how she made any of her equipment but whatever equipment it was she made it all herself!" Present Mic announced.

"I imagine Shimizu would be in a lot of pain right now. If she didn't have that boot to lock herself to the ground she would have also been blown away with the recoil of using her gauntlet in that way. Not to mention that she only won with the element of surprise. If Shiozaki had been more cautious of her left gauntlet this match could have ended differently." Eraser Head commented.

(First Person)
"Akari really has changed," I say.

"Yeah. She doesn't like fighting. But all her equipment is targeted for fights. At least from what we saw," said Izuku. "But judging how she used her left gauntlet, that's most likely something to look out for any quirk user emitter or not. Then there is her right gauntlet that can turn into a razor and have a powerful impact but the downside is that she needs to switch it back and forth so it leaves her open for a moment. Then her left boot also needs to be manually activated so she can use the full force of that palm thrust. Then there is the right boot which could do something different. There are also the goggles which seemed to help her see the vines that popped up from the ground. She had everything to counteract Shiozaki and her quirk. But that doesn't mean she had a one hundred percent chance at winning. If Shiozaki instead of using her vines from afar against Akari and if she figured to avoid her left gauntlet with her vines it would be much easier to catch Akari even with her razor blades activated. Or instead of going directly towards Akari with her vines, she could have come from the ground but Akari would see it coming and-" I lightly chop Izuku on the head. Izuku then covers his mouth and blushes. Regaining some composure he asked, "Oh, wait where's Ida?" I looked around and he wasn't here anymore.

"Oh, Ida. He left during the match to prepare for his match. I guess you two were so into the fight you didn't notice him leaving," Uraraka laughed. "Deku. Akumi. I thought you guys were amazing since the day we met, but… This sports festival has brought you guys to a whole other level. Even your old friends are at a high level."

"Moving on… Who's next in for the top?" We hear Present Mic. "The first round's about half over! Next up is Tenya Ida of the hero course! Versus… Mei Hatsume of the support course. Now if the last match was any indication of how good the support course students are. You won't want to miss this. I mean what is that…? Looks like Ida's also equipped with support items."

"After seeing what Akari could do with her support items. I wonder what Hastumie has in store for him," said Izuku.

"Oh, she has something special alright. If all things go according to my knowledge," I say.

"And what can that be," asked Uraraka.

I put a finger to my mouth, "Shhhh. No spoilers remember," I smile.

"Although She's a member of the support course… She came to me and said, "If we're to be seen as equals, then we should fight on equal footing." She gave me these items to use! I respect her integrity. That's why to honor her I would like to wear this gear," Ida stated.

"Such Youthful Vigor!" Midnight whips her whip, "I'll allow it."

"If both parties are fine with it, I think we can allow this…" Aizawa said through the announcer.

"Well if that's the case. Players to your positions," said Present Mic. Ida and Hatsume ready themselves, " START!"

Ida immediately starts with his speed and rushes Hatsume. "What incredible speed, Ida," we hear Hastume through her microphone. "Your legs feel even lighter than usual do they not?! That's what you can expect with my custom Leg parts, which keep up with their user's speed! But dodging is no problem for me with my Hydraulic attachment bars!" Hatsume dodges with her hydraulic attachment bars tripping Ida along the way. "What deft maneuvering Ida!" The wings on Ida's back activates pulling him back to balance.

"So was this what you had in mind, Akumi," asked a flabbergasted Izuku.

"Yep. Though I don't know why Akari didn't do this. Well, I guess she is more show than tell," I say.

Their game of tag, complete with a play-by-play sales pitch went on for another ten or so minutes. But eventually, Hatsume steps out of the ring. "Hatsume is out of the ring! Ida moves on to the second round," Midnight announces.

"You Deceive Me," shouted Ida.

"Ida is just way too serious. It wasn't hard for her to get him to play her game… At least she's honest about her under-handed methods to get what she wants," mumbled Izuku.

"RIght… I'd better get to the prep room," said Uraraka as she got up and left.

"She barely took a sip of her drink," I say and pointed towards her drink.

"We officially passed the halfway point of the first round. In the sixth match, we have someone who wouldn't spark a memory! The disappearing Maeko Nagai of the general course! Versus! The lighting quick spark! Denki Kaminari of the hero course!"
