"Bellies are filled, and plates are clean! Next up…"
"The Test Of Courage!" Ashido shouted in excitement, finishing Pixie-Bob's sentence.
"Sorry to break it to you. The remedial bunch. You've got extra lessons with me now."
"NO WAAAAY!" Ashido's excitement turns to disbelief. Her eyes wide open and her jaw gaping.
Aizawa then wraps Ashido, Kaminari, Kirishima, Sato, Sero, and I around our entire torso in his scarf cloth then begins dragging us away, "Yes, yes. It sucks to be you but the training we did earlier today was far less fruitful than I'd hoped. Which means we need to wash, rinse, and repeat."
"Why am I wrapped up!? I was ready to willingly go," I exclaimed.
"Wait! Akumi! You Knew About This And You Didn't Tell Us!" Ashido shouts and I stay silent feeling a bit guilty. "Say Somemmm…" Ashido's mouth gets covered with Aizawa's cloth.
"I only had a feeling. I didn't know anythmmm…" my mouth also gets covered.
"Save all that energy when we get to class," said Aizawa. It took us a few minutes to calm down, but we reluctantly arrived back at the building and Aizawa untied us. "In today's remedial lesson, we'll be drilling you on what to do in emergency situations." We walked through the hallway. Then sliding a door open he said, "Not being aware of how much you're falling behind the others will only widen that gap."
"Isn't that funny?! The supposedly superior class A has six students failing?! And class B only has two?! That really is strange, don't you think?! I couldn't imagine how that must make you feel!" Monoma laughed. He was already sitting at a table in the room next to Youta.
"Monoma, just because Kendo isn't here does not mean you get to say what you want," said Youta giving him a good scolding. The two began to talk and the rest of us went to sit at a table behind them.
Then suddenly we get a message from Mandalay through her quirk, "Everyone! Two villains have invaded the area! And there might be more out there! All those who can. Should get to the facility at once! If you encounter an enemy, do not engage! Continue to retreat!"
I then see Aizawa and Vlad King nod to each other. Aizawa leaves the room. Then a woman's voice goes through my head, "Hey, it looks like it's starting."
"What?" I said verbally.
"I would have thought they'd try something different so that I wouldn't know what would happen next but this is… So much better."
"What are you talking about!"
"You look like a crazy person talking to yourself like this."
I took a look and everyone's attention was on me. Vlad King especially, was the most cautious as Youta approached me, "Akumi… Are you… Alright?"
"Vlad King! Restrain me before I lose…"
"Tiger, I talk to everyone. Trust the safety of the other students to the others. You and I will stay here. We'll hold them off." Mandalay then motions her head to Ida, "You return to camp. Class rep, you're in charge on the way there. Don't engage anyone."
"Leave it to me." Ida responded, "Let's go!" Most of the students had already entered the test of courage. The only one left was Izuku, Koda, Mineta, and Ojiro as they followed Ida, but Izuku stayed still and Ida noticed shouting, "Izuku!"
"Go on ahead without me! Mandalay! Kota, I know where he is!"
With confliction on her face, Mandalay then says, "A-alright. I trust you and only you to find Kota. So please find him before anything happens!"
"Yes ma'am," Izuku responds using One For All Full Cowl and rushes off to find Kota. Running as fast as he can, Izuku darts back to the cliff where he found Kota before. "Is Akumi okay? If only All Might were here. Was rushing to Kota alone the correct choice? If it's the league then Akumi's in danger. If Kota's at the cliff alone he's going to be in more danger." Running through the forest a million thoughts crossed his mind, but one thought of Aizawa kept resurfacing, "If I told you three that what is going to happen next is something so catastrophic that it will distraught you so much to the point where you won't even be able to focus on becoming a hero. Would you still want to hear it?"
Regretting a bit that he had not pressed to know more at the time. Just as he comes upon the mountain he hears sounds of smashing rocks. Izuku jumps up the mountain to see Kota about to be hit by a blond-haired man with many muscle fibers protruding from his arm. Izuku moves even faster for just a moment managing to grab Kota and move out of the punch tumbling onto the ground.
"Why!" Kota asks.
"Hrmm? You. I remember you from the archived list," said the man.
"It's gonna be okay, Kota. I'm here to save you."
"You're going to save him, you say? As expected of a hero candidate. Ready to parade that face of justice anywhere, anytime. You're one of the Mydoria twins, aren't you? I had just been ordered to start things off by killing you. Right after I take my time to enjoy hearing you scream. Let Me See You Bleed!" The muscular man now took his cloak off tying it around his waist. Activating his quirk then leaping at Izuku with muscle fibers protruding again from the arms.
Izuku barely puts up an arm to block in time but gets sent crashing into the side of the mountain making a small indent into it. "Ah whoops, I almost forgot. If you know, then tell me. Where is the Bakugo kid? After all, I got a job to finish." The attack does not stop there as the man jumps in for another swing.
Izuku slides out of the way and the man punches into the mountain. "You can just say, I don't know. Because that will be your final words!" The man connected a kick into Izuku's abdomen. Izuku falls to the ground bleeding from his arms while the man laughs, "Blood! Now that's more like it. What was it you said?! I'll save you no matter what?! Then why are you running away now?!" The man slowly walks over to Izuku.
Izuku, with a quick push of the ground, punches the man but the man blocked it with his muscle fibered arm doing little to no damage. "Your quirk's got decent speed. But it doesn't pack enough punch!" The man then back-hands Izuku with the arm he used to block Izuku's punch. "My quirk is muscle augmentation. Enabling me to augment my muscle fibers granting me speed and strength! What do you say to that! What else do you have! Because you are an inferior version of me. You'll save him?! How exactly?! Spouting hollow words just because you think they sound right?! You should worry about how you can stay alive!" The man raises a fist up high.
Kota shoots a stream of water at the man, "Water Hose… My mom… and dad. Did you torture them like this before you killed them…?"
"Whoa, you're their kid? This must be fate or something. Water Hose, they're the pair that gave me this glass eye."
"It's all your fault! It's because of people like you! That things always turn out like this!" Kota shouts tears falling from his eyes and fear starting to take over.
"Brats like you are always quick to pass the blame. I'm not holding a grudge over this eye. I simply wanted to kill. Those two wanted to stop me. What happened was simply the result of the two clashings. The ones at fault are the ones acting even though they can't do anything effective! That pretty sums up your mom and dad!" The large man looms over Kota's small body menacingly. He then notices Izuku jumping in to attack, "That's how it goes! Isn't that right!"
"The Fault Is Yours!" Izuku yells. He then lets the muscle fibers grab hold of his weakened arm, "Now I don't have to worry about our gap in speed."
"And what now?! You gonna hit me with that other weak arm of yours?!"
"It's not about what you can or can't do as a hero. For heroes… It's about risking our lives to save others. That's the job of heroes!" Izuku charges up a 100% smash with his free arm and it connects causing debris to be dusted up into the air. Kota is sent flying off the cliff by the shockwave but Izuku manages to catch Kota by the collar of his shirt with his teeth.
Izuku pulled Kota back onto the cliff and said, "Let's get back to the facility. It's not too far from… Here…" Izuku then turns around and to his horror, the man is not defeated, "No way… Even with a 100% smash."
"Starting off with a light jab. Not half bad Midoriya!" The man said getting off the indent in the wall that Izuku put him in.
"Stay Back!" Izuku shouts.
"Not a chance. That's no fun." The man said with a big smile on his face.
"Why are you doing this?! Is it to get your experiment back?!"
"Hell if I know. All I want to do is rampage. As long as I can let loose with my quirk. I don't care," the man said, slowly walking towards Izuku and Kota. Glass eyes of different designs fall out of his pocket as he rummages through it saying, "Playtimes over! You're stronger than I thought. So now I'm going to use my serious eye." The man puts a muscle-fiber glass eye in his empty eye socket.
"Kota! Grab On!" Izuku shouts in a panic. Kota quickly jumps onto Izuku's back then Izuku narrowly dodges the muscle fibered man jumping into the air.
The man then follows, jumping up to Izuku then smashing into the mountain, "Crap, I overdid it a bit."
Izuku dodged by kicking the mountain to fall faster. Landing more thoughts go through his head. "Aizawa's quirk can erase the man's quirk. Even in good condition, it would be difficult to even make it back to the facility with the man chasing. Are there more like him? If so then is Akumi really safe? Did Akumi know about this? No, there's no time to think about it. You are here to save people. Don't forget why you're still a hero." Izuku prepares himself to fight until the end, "Kota, get back. But not too far or he'll target you. So about seven steps. If I go down, run as fast as you can to camp."
"Wait, you're not going to take him head-on are you? It's impossible! Your attacks didn't even hurt him. And now both your arms are broken."
"It's fine," Izuku reassures Kota, charging up a 100% smash through his arm as the muscle man lunges with a wind-up punch.
The two punches clashed almost to a stalemate as the man began to overtake. "What's wrong! This is weaker than before!"
"Fine. I'm fine!! He's not taking one step past me! So run!" Izuku is slowly getting absorbed and pushed down to the ground by the muscle fibers. "RUN!"
"Wow, kid! This is so much fun!"
"SHUT UUUUP!!!"
"Die Already!" The man responded. Kota shoots a water stream at the man. The man casually looks at Kota while still putting the full force of his punch on Izuku, "No need to rush. I'll kill you when I'm good and ready."
"As If I Let You Kill Him!" Izuku started pushing back, rising off the ground.
"How're you getting stronger?!" The man said. Izuku in his mind yelled, "1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash!" Going plus ultra, his arm slammed the man into the mountain. The man's glass eye ejected out, the impact knocking him unconscious.
Izuku cries in victory as Kota falls down to his knees, tears in his eyes, asking, "Why? Even though you don't know me? Why would you go this far?"
"HAVE NO FEAR! FOR I AM HERE!" All Might lands next to Izuku and Kota, "I'M SORRY THAT I WAS LATE YOUNG MIDORIYA. I WAS PREOCCUPIED DEALING WITH THE VILLAINS ALONG THIS PATH. THE OTHER PRO HEROES ARE DEALING WITH THE CRISIS IN THE OTHER AREA AS WELL."
Izuku was shocked and relieved that All Might was here. "A-All Might. B-but Aizawa said…"
All Might looks around, "WHAT HE SAID WAS A TACTICAL DECEPTION! YOU'VE DONE AN AMAZING JOB DEALING WITH THIS VILLAIN." He then picks up Izuku and Kota, "NOW REST EASY. WE NEED TO HEAD BACK TO THE FACILITY IMMEDIATELY. YOU'RE SEVERELY INJURED."
"No, wait All Might. We need to let Mandalay relay that the league is after Kacchan."
"YOUNG BAKUGO? I SEE. THEN THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE!" ALL might speed off to Mandalay.
"Control."
Vlad King went immediately to action as he motioned his arm sending his blood to incase me. I also put my arm up and absorbed the blood before he could harden it and cut off the flow with a wind blast so he couldn't send any more.
"Sensei what's going on," Monoma asked.
I raised an arm at Monoma. "Monoma! Get Down!" Youta shouts and I shoot a high-pressure bloodstream of Vlad King's blood at Monoma but he manages to dodge as Youta leaps on top of me pinning my arms down to the ground, "What do you think you're doing, Akumi!"
"I might have liked this if I didn't like Katsuki better," I said with a smile.
"What are you even talking about! Do you know what you're doing!"
"Okazaki! Get away from her! Now!" Shouted Vlad King.
"No! If her personality changed then as of right now I'm the only one here able to bring her back!"
"Oh? How sentimental. If only that were true," I chuckled. "Sorry to say but only a few people have the ability to do that. And, sad to say, you're not one of them. I like you just as much as them, so sorry but you won't get any special treatment," I said and slowly pushed back on Youta.
"If you like me just as much as her. Then that also means that you wouldn't want to hurt me."
"I know what you're trying to do. Buy time so that you can encase me with that light of yours. You should know better than to think that your light can stop me."
Youta looked up and shouted, "Hanta Sero! Use your quirk to—"
"I can't let you take command Youta," I interrupted by pushing him off of me and pinning him down. Vlad King's blood then again tried to capture me but I rolled out of the way underneath a table and flung it at him. "I can't stay here for long. Who knows how many traps they set just for me." I leaped out the window only to be met with Youta's red light. As I mentioned before, his light was useless against me now as I phase through the solid light. In essence, Youta's solid light is still just light. If I activate my quirk throughout my body I can bypass the solid stage of Youta's light and turn it back into normal light as my body moves through it. Sadly this same logic does not work with Vlad King's blood when it turns solid.
"No you don't," I hear Kamui Woods as his wood entraps me when my entire body is out the window.
Just then we again hear from Mandalay's telepathy, "Members of class A and B I hereby authorize you all for combat! We've Identified one of the villain's objectives! The student named Kacchan! Whoever Kacchan is! Avoid combat as much as possible. Refrain from solo movements!"
"Ah, looks like big brother is finished with his job over there."
"What are you going on about?"
"Kamui Woods don't get distracted, she's a lot stronger than she looks," Vlad King warned from the window.
"Distracted or not. If none of the top 10 heroes or Aizawa are here. None of you can stop me!" I absorb air through my fingernails. Then blasting compressed air from my fingertips I cut through the wood and set myself free. Landing on the ground I start running and questioning to myself, "Wait? What number was Kamui Woods right now? Forget about that question. If I flew now and she retakes control we might just fall to our death. For now, running is safer." Here comes Ectoplasm and his clones and Hound Dog up ahead.
"Stop Midoriya! You are not allowed to leave! If you choose to resist any further we will have no choice but to use force."
"This is already different. These heroes are not supposed to be here. Makes me wonder which other heroes are here too?" I tackled right through one of the clones of Ectoplasm. Another one of the clones grabbed me by the arm and then Hound Dog went for a punch at my stomach but I blocked it with my free arm. Ectoplasm then goes for a kick to the back of my head but I fling the clone that was holding onto my arm into Ectoplasm knocking him away. Then I go for my own punch to Hound Dog. He blocks it and it sends him back a good distance.
Vlad King and Kamui Woods then join in the battle. "Four big men. Ganging up on one little girl. Is this what hero society has fallen down to," I said as Kamui Woods uses his Lacquered Chain Prison. Vlad King comes from behind and also goes for a capture technique. I turn and blast his blood away with a strong gust of wind from my hand. The wood from behind me then opens up and grapples my body.
I then felt some heat from the wood prison I was in. "Who that!" Shouted Kamui Woods as he jumped back, me in hand.
The signature blue fire, smirking I say, "Don't mind if I do. I was wondering when he'll show up." I absorbed the fire storing it for later use. I was also burnt by the fire but it didn't do any lasting damage.
"Akumi!" Youta shouts.
"Okazaki! How many times do I have to tell you to stay back?! This is not something you should get involved with," said Vlad King.
"I'm sorry Sensei, but I can't sit back and watch! Akumi…! Yuu! I know you're in there! Please! Don't let this other person take over."
"What's that voice I hear…" Yuu said, floating in a dark void half-conscious. "It sounds so… Familiar."
Akumi is fully conscious staring at Yuu. She then covers Yuu's ears saying, "What you're hearing is nothing important. The hardest part is coming up next."
"Why don't you just lock her away as you did with the combination of you and that woman. If you wanted to, you definitely could remove any control she has," All For One asked, staying a good distance away from the two.
"I don't even know why I even allow you to stay here," replied Akumi. "Once this is done I'm kicking you out of us for good."
"This is truly amazing. Your quirk Extra Space allows you to take anything and store them in a pocket dimension inside yourself by coming into physical contact. Combine it with the quirk Sponge that filters everything flowing in and out of you making it so you can now even store abstract concepts. Sad to say the mixing of the two quirks together along with many others did have the drawback of not being able to store solids anymore, but it did instead create a paradox inside of your body. Truly a sheer coincidence that by turning you into a Nomu you would end up regaining sentience by binding yourself with this woman from another world. But things didn't go entirely to plan because you're still incomplete, aren't you? Leading to the creation of that other girl to fill in the missing data."
"Shut it! Remember now, that if she's controlling the main body I have full control of the quirk. I can silence you whenever I want. Besides, you're wrong on so many levels."
"Oh? Do tell, how did that woman put it. If you knew how to get rid of me you would've already done it. What's the real reason you want to keep me around? Or is it that you can't get rid of me?" Akumi stays silent and the grin on All For One's face widens. "Was I wrong about the quirk? About you, about the woman? Or is it… About the girl?"
"You took advantage of me! You took advantage of Shigaraki! And you would have taken advantage of Izuku too if All Might hadn't got to him first! We were just children who didn't know any better! Children that didn't know what they would lose," Akumi shouted, her anger started to build. "But after what I saw through her memories. I never should have taken your hand no matter how desperate I was to find my parents. Because you never wanted to help us in the first place! Since I never showed up in the original timeline. I would've just been a tool like the other nomus. My entire existence would have been forgotten."
"You were so willing to participate in all of our experiments. How could we refuse when it was you who volunteered yourself. You would have been put to good use. But now you're more than just good use. You're somehow able to retain your mind with all the benefits of being a nomu and none of the negatives. You're so close to being the perfect nomu. Akumi Saneto."
"That's not my name! It's already set in stone that Izuku Midoriya will beat you! So I don't care even if my plan fails. I'll take solace in knowing that you'll lose to my Onii-chan." All For One began to laugh maniacally, "Why are you laughing?"
"I'm laughing at how naive you still are. Here you are given the golden opportunity to live the family life you've always wanted with an amazing power right at your fingertips. Yet you still come back to me. Honestly, I sometimes forget who's body your using." A distortion then occurs in the area. "Looks like she came back early. Why don't I leave you to chat with each other? I never did get to chat with that woman."
"Kid. I don't know what you're trying to do but you need to get back inside," Kamui Woods said as a nomu charged at them.
Taking this moment of distraction I was expecting some conflict on the inside when using my quirk but there was none whatsoever. "So this is what it's like to have full control. Like I've just been given the keys to a car with no restriction on how fast I wanted to go." I felt so alive smiling from ear to ear as Kamui Woods jumps away from the nomu and Vlad King pierced it with his blood. "Let's get out of this wooden prison first since the fire is starting to hurt."
"Kamui Woods! Akumi's about to use her quirk!" Youta shouts.
"Don't worry! I got her this time!" Kamui Woods tighten the grips around me and I can see the wood grow thicker.
Flicking my wrist I freed my hand's range of motion. My strength is slowly starting to accumulate. I send the blue fire with a direct shot at Kamui Wood disintegrating the wood holding me. "This fire is a lot hotter than I thought," I said seeing the wary Youta awestruck. A couple more nomu was also making a ruckus for the four heroes from earlier with Edgeshot and Present Mic now in the frame. I spot Dabi from the distance, sending flames and hitting the clones of Ectoplasm.
I use my quirk to propel myself to Dabi before Kamui Woods could recover. Landing next to Dabi I speak, "Nice to meet you for the first time Dabi. I've always wanted to meet one of the real league members. Oh wait, I almost forgot you're just a clone."
"Ah. You must be the experiment that guy was going on about. Portal's that way if you want to come back." Dabi points in a direction of the forest with his fingers.
"Wow, you came so prepared. Did he tell you about this?"
"No, it just looked like you needed some directions. Didn't expect it to be this easy."
"Yuu!" Youta shouts.
"Okazaki! You're letting emotions cloud your judgment! You heard her, only her brother can get her back!" Vlad King shouts at Youta holding him back with his blood.
"I'll let you handle things here. I'll go meet up with the real you." I begin to fly away above the treetops then winking at him I say, "Toya."
"I can see why they say you know a little too much. Sadly I'm just a clone," I hear Dabi say in annoyance.
I get some distance before I notice a red light fast approaching, "Youta is chasing again." I turn my head back and see him on his light platform catching up to me. "How annoying. But it's nice to see he cares so much. He's a good second place if Bakugo turns me down" I started to speed up a little myself and now incorporate that woman's method of flying into my own.
"NOW!" I hear a familiar female voice from below me.
A flash of light blinds my eyes for a moment then I feel something wrap around my wrist and ankle pulling me down to the ground. I felt my quirk deactivate, "Great Aizawa's here to ruin the fun again." I begin to fall. The fall itself was not going to hurt me since if I'm in control I still have my superhuman durability and strength. The fall comes to a stop as Youta catches me in the air.
"Youta! Get Away from Akumi! That Isn't Her Right Now!" No mistaking it this was Akari. I wonder what she was doing here? Taking this moment to headbutt Youta to continue my fall. My eyes readjust to the light of night and I spotted Aizawa, Akari, Midnight, Mount Lady, and Cementoss standing below as I fell. What had wrapped my wrist and ankle were wires connected to some sort of machine.
The wire pulled on me faster towards this machine. As I got close enough to see, the machine looked similar to the white room I was in during my confinement. One side had a thick glass wall, the others were some sort of white metal. The top was open and it was empty inside besides the wires pulling me inside. I fell inside feeling a little sore as the box sealed itself. The machine starts to vibrate and I can feel something being removed.
I tried using my quirk but couldn't and through the glass I saw Aizawa staring back. I tried removing the restraints but it wouldn't break with the strength I have now. I tried to speak but nothing came out. "This is really bad. I guess I'll take a little break. Let's switch back before I fall unconscious." I closed my eyes and now I'm back into the dark void.
"Are you done?" Akumi questioned.
A girl appeared from the distortion of space, "Just here to take a small break. They've got me captured in a weird machine. So, are you keeping her in check?"
"Why are you back so early?"
"Aizawa is such an annoyance. I can't use the quirk right now. So let her in the driver's seat for a moment so that it tricks them to stop the machine. They might actually kill us at this rate."
"We only have a couple of these left. If the control switches a few more times without us being complete we will just disappear and become mindless nomus."
"Stop pretending. I know everything you know. You just don't want to switch because you know only she will get hurt. Just do it already! It's not like you care for that woman do you," the girl said. Akumi sighs and places a hand on the woman and her body vanishes.
I opened my eyes and I couldn't breathe, I couldn't move, I couldn't hear, and I writhe in pain but no sound would come out. I tried to use my quirk but it wouldn't activate.
What happened? I was just in a classroom and now I'm… I was in a box staring out at Akari… I wanted to cry but no tears would come out. It felt cold. How did I end up here? Why didn't I go to that void space? Is it really true that that other person can just do whatever she wants in this body now? If so, why am I back?
I lay on the ground unmoving. This much pain and I'm still somehow alive. It's a miracle that I can still think. Nomus are attacking? Why don't I feel anything anymore? Is this what dying feels like? But my vision is still clear and my mind is not fading. I raised my arms that were tied and placed my palm against the glass.
With strength I didn't have, I pushed and to my surprise, the glass cracked a small piece where my hand was. What's pushing me to move? Why do I even move anymore? Am I even moving? It feels like someone else is moving my body for me. Pushing against the glass I propped myself up. My ankles were tied together making it difficult to stand. I found myself staring at Akari as she was fighting against a Nomu. I missed her, where was she before all this? Maybe the hero's life was never meant for me. I don't want this anymore. Why can't it just go back to how it used to be.
"That's right. Why couldn't it go back," said a man's voice in my mind.
Who is this? Wait this was…
"It's great to finally have a conversation with you alone. Let me reintroduce myself. I am All For One." Makes sense for him to be able to read my mind. He was in my head, to begin with. "Do you want to go back to how things were before?"
I don't know. Sounds so tempting but I can't trust you. You're the villain. And you have so many ulterior motives behind every action.
"Are you sure? Your friends are going to die. If you accept my offer now then everything can be taken back." I look out and see the teachers struggling with the nomus and Youta was protecting Aizawa and Akari with his light. Aizawa wasn't budging an inch as he stared me down. Cementoss had cement prepared and walled off some parts of the forest.
Youta is the strongest and smartest person I know. If anything were to go wrong he'll take Akari and fly away on his red light. I don't care what happens to the others.
"Oh? What about Izuku Midoriya? Well, my offer still stands. Give up and you can go back to how you want it to be."
Yeah, right… Actually, it doesn't sound too bad even if there's a catch. Let me think about it. Right now I'm kind of feeling like taking a nap.
"So that's how it works. Being around certain people gives one of you more control over the body and quirk. It seems the person you cling onto to usurp control isn't the red-haired boy nor that blue-haired girl you call Akari but Izuku Midoriya himself. How interesting. I wonder who the other two like to be around."
The machine started to tilt. My body hits the floor as I spot Izuku being carried by All Might in the distance. "I'm sorry Onii-chan. I always make you worry. I don't want to go but… It's just so hard to control it now," I mouthed as my eyes slowly closed.
"Akari, what's her condition like right now?" Aizawa asked.
Akari activates her quirk then quickly deactivates it, "It looks like her colors changed back to normal."
"Then shouldn't we stop the machine!" Youta shouts.
"No. It hurts me just as much as it hurts you Youta but if we stop now the other Akumi will take over," Akari responded.
"How do you know that?! If her colors back then she should be fine!"
"I know it's not because I saw it back at the hospital when she recovered and went to see you!" Akari shouted, then paused, catching her breath while Youta was stunned at the fact that he was yet again too late to help. "It's already too late… Her quirk, no, the other person inside her already has full control of when they can take over."
"Youta Okazaki, Akari Shimizu," Midnight called. "I know this must be painful for you to do this to a friend and I can't apologize enough to you two to have to witness this. But as the situation is not over yet I must remind you to stay alert." This shuts the two as Youta grips his hands in frustration and Akari looks away feeling guilty. As Youta was about to argue there was a rustle in the grass. "Everyone get ready! They're here!" Midnight signals to the others.
A muscular Nomu with multiple arms charged in first. Mount Lady intercepted by growing in size and stomped it into the ground. Another two rushed in, one covered with spikes from head to toe and the other was lanky. Midnight latches her whip onto the lanky Nomu and swings it into the spiking Nomu. A Nomu digs up from the ground below Aizawa who was still preoccupied with canceling Akumi's quirk but did nothing because Youta had placed his red light barrier around Aizawa. Akari points a gauntlet at the Nomu and shoots a disk hitting the Nomu paralyzing it.
"Akari! What's her condition now!?" Aizawa shouts.
Akari sees Akumi now standing with lifeless red eyes transitioning to green, her palms placed on the glass wall like she's trying to reach out to someone, and a man behind her holding her body up by the waist. Closing her eyes for a moment Akari then activates her quirk and sees that Akumi's colors that usually shine started to dull, but the man behind her had no color almost like he wasn't there but somehow was. "Not good! Only the man is out!"
"That will have to do. We'll activate it now." An explosion goes off around the machine. "Damn it! What now."
