"Did I hear that correctly!" Shimizu-san said in concern. "An investigation. I'm not letting you get yourself involved in any more dangerous activity. You're not even a real pro hero yet."

"Onee-san you should already know if we're serious or not," Akari said getting off the bed and standing next to Youta. "Not that you could do anything to stop us."

"It was already risky enough to get you involved. If they find out that you are doing things outside of what was allowed they'll use this against you."

"I know the risks and the price I need to pay. I just want to get my friend back."

Shimizu-san's eyes color changed to red, without a glow, while looking at Youta. "Youta, don't."

"No need to worry Shimizu-san." Youta turns and whispers into Akari's ear, "I'll come get you when it's time." Turning back to Shimizu-san he said, "Without Izuku we won't have a trio to do the investigating anyway. With his injuries, it's going to be a while before we get anything done."

"That's not the point." Youta walks past Shimizu-san and to the door. "And where do you think you're going? I can see that home isn't on your mind."

"If you want to know, why don't you follow me and find out? Of course, that would mean you're leaving Akari alone to do whatever she wants," Youta responds opening the door.

"You two are making this a lot harder than it's supposed to be." Shimizu-san blinks and her eyes go back to blue. "If you knew you wouldn't be doing these things."

Leaving the room and waving goodbye but before closing the door Youta said with a smile, "But I don't so bye."

Akari gets back in her bed, "I think I'm going to stay just a little longer here. Don't want to go back home too soon."

Shimizu-san rubs her eyes and lets out a sigh. Sitting back down on a chair she said, "Just make sure I don't catch you because if I do you're not going anywhere but back home."

Youta takes the elevator to the first floor. Exiting the elevator he notices most of class 1B waiting for him. "What are you guys doing?"

"We were all worried about you, of course," Monoma responded. "We know that not many things get under your skin, but with the recent events it looks like you might end up somewhere we can't reach you."

"We just wanted to make sure you're thinking straight," said Tokage walking up to Youta and poking him. "You know the way you grabbed onto Kendo left a mark you know."

Youta looks down in guilt, "I didn't realize. I'm sorry."

"Well, apologize to her when you see her. I think you might have scared her."

"I will." Youta looks back up at the group and exits the elevator.

"And where are you headed to now? See as how you didn't even realize we would be waiting for you down here which is very unlike you," said Kaibara.

"If there is anything we can do to help you, We're here," added Rin.

"No," Youta said coldly, pushing through the group to the exit. "It's not that you can't help. It's that I just haven't known you guys for that long." Youta has his back to the group and he notices no one besides them in the hospital. "And it's not that I don't trust you. I just can't let my actions leave you not becoming heroes."

"Hold it, Youta." Shishida grabs hold of Youta's shoulder before Youta could go any farther. "What exactly, now, are you doing that would lead us to not becoming heroes?"

"Something not exactly allowed." Youta takes Shishida's hand off his shoulder. "If you plan to stop me I recommend you tell a…Pro Hero." Youta encased himself with his red light as he walks away.

"Youta!" Vlad King shouts from behind.

Youta continues walking. "This is something I expected. No Eraserhead to erase my quirk?"

Placing a hand on the handle of the glass door Vlad king speaks calmly, "Your father has called you."

He dispels his barrier Youta stops and turns to Vlad King. With a scowl on his face, he asks, "When?"

"Just now. He said he'll be waiting for you."

"Now of all times," Youta bit his lips. "If he calls again tell him I'm busy." Youta dashes out of the door running down the street.

"What was that Kan-Sensei? Why did Youta look like that when you mention his father," Monoma asked Vlad King.

"I'm not privy to much information on family situations but from what I gathered, he and his father had a falling out."

"Do you know where he's heading?"

"No, I don't. But it is safe to say he won't be in any danger as long as his father is watching him."

One day later. Youta and Akari are walking down a street in a run-down neighborhood. "So where exactly are we going?" Akari asked, adjusting her satchel.

"We have to do some shady business if we want to get the information we want."

As Youta enters an alleyway Akari activates her quirk, "Are you sure this is safe?"

"In this part of town nothing is safe," Youta responded. "Don't worry though this place is actually on the safer side."

"If you say so." She follows Youta into the alleyway.

Youta then stops at a door to a small building and knocks on it. After a moment a voice said, "Hello, how may I help you."

"The Adventurer's Guild," Youta replied. The door then changed texture from run-down to a bright yellow-hinged door. "Alright, let's go in." Youta opens the door. Contrary to how it looks on the outside, the inside seemingly leads to an underground urban city.

"What is this place?" Akari asked as they walked through the different colored areas. Her eyes took in her surroundings then she gripped the straps of her satchel.

"This door transports you to secret locations. This place is called The Adventurers Guild. Created by my father. There are more places you can go to depending on the coded phrases or title of the area but like the name suggests this place is for people seeking out an adventure. He hires anyone from anywhere, doesn't matter quirk or quirkless, criminal or not, as long as you get the work done you are as good as hired."

"If that's the case why is this place still a secret? Surely someone would have leaked information about this place. And how many more places are there like this? Is this someone's quirk and if not then when was this place even made?"

"My father is just a really convincing man." Akari gave Youta a very doubtful expression. "I don't know how he does it either but with his declining health it might not be like that for long. There are two more that I know of. I was supposed to take over but something like this is just not what I want to do."

"Was this the real reason why you were late on that day?"

Youta stops at another door. "This should be it," he says as he knocks on the door. It opens and he walks inside with Akari.

In the room sits a man in a yellow suit with his feet on his desk laying back on his chair. "Okazaki. It's not every day that you chose to contact me. What's it this time? Another internship?"

Closing the door behind them Youta asked, "I need information about a girl."

"Finally going to ask the question about this girl here? Because if so I have quite a lot to say."

Akari looks at the colors of the man and all that it tells her was to not trust the man. Youta pulled out two seats and placed them in front of the man, then gestured to Akari to sit as he sat on one of them. "You know what happened to us."

"Hmmm, what could've happened I wonder?" The man sat up with a grin on his face. "With all those heroes yet the villains escape. The quality of heroes has dropped while the villains just keep getting stronger."

"Enough. You already know my friend was taken by them. I want to know if you have any information on their whereabouts."

"I know of one. But I don't think he's the friend you're talking about. If you want to find a person that's going to cost you extra. Information about them is already hard to come by as it is. Let alone their base of operations. Besides, you know villains aren't very friendly to intruders."

Youta grips his fist, "Then where is Bakugo?"

Izuku lays down eyes open staring blankly up at the ceiling wondering what happened. The door to the room slid open and entered class 1A. They tried making small talk and Mineta even brought a melon, but Izuku went straight into business and asked, "Is Akumi here?"

Ida steps up and says, "Jiro and Hagakure still haven't regained consciousness from the villain's gas. Yaoyorozu suffered a serious head injury so she has also been hospitalized."

"What about Kacchan?" The room was silent. "I see. So even he… I asked All Might once if there were times he couldn't save someone. Akumi was there and answered for him. She said yes. It was almost like she was saying she couldn't be rescued." Izuku grits his teeth, tears almost falling from his eyes as he lies on his bed helplessly.

"Then this time around let's save them," Kirishima spoke out. To the surprise of everyone he continues, "Todoroki and I were here yesterday. I just couldn't sit back home like this."

"Right… Same here," Todoroki agreed.

"Then we ran into All Might and the police. They were talking to Yaoyorozu. She had help from a student from class B put a tracker on one of the retreating Nomu. And handed over a signal device to them. They said to leave everything to them but…"

"So you're saying that Yaoyorozu could make another signal device for us," Ida states. "It's as All Might said! This is a matter best left to the pros. It's not a situation for students like us to meddle in!"

"Damn it, man! I know that already! But still, I couldn't do anything!" Kirishima shouts. "Hearing that my buddy was being targeted! Standing idly by as Akumi in front of me lost control. I couldn't do anything! I didn't do anything! If I don't do something about it here! Then forget about being a hero, I'm not even a man!"

"Kirishima, calm down. We get that you're hot-headed but in this case…" Kaminari says.

"Ida is right," Tsuyu finishes.

"I know he's right! You're all right but still! Izuku, they're not beyond our reach just yet!"

"Was that all that you needed me for?"

"If you don't have any more information about where she is then I guess we're done here. Let's go Akari," Youta gets up.

"Can you wait outside for me, Youta? I want to ask some questions myself."

"Huh, why can't I be in here for it?"

"Of course, the lady here would have some personal questions. Like maybe I told you about the situation she tried so hard to keep a secret from her friends."

"Akari I would never—"

"It's not that, Youta. Just… Please wait outside while I ask these questions."

Youta and Akari stared at each other for a moment before Youta broke and headed towards the door, "Just don't take too long. You never know who might be listening." Youta leaves the room.

"You know Mrs. Shimizu. Information comes with a cost right? Youta paid upfront and if he's not here I can't answer your questions for free. So, what can you offer?"

"You should know full well if you know what my situation is and what I can make with my quirk."

"Yes, equipment tailor-made to suit the user of a quirk. Sadly I don't have one. What else can you offer?" The man stares into Akari's glowing blue eyes.

"I'll offer you my quirk."

"Your quirk? How can you do that?" His ears perked up.

"Well, not exactly but these goggles," Akari pulls out the pair of goggles she used during the sports festival. "These can emulate the use of my quirk. Of course, you can try them on if you don't believe me."

"No, it's not that. I'm more interested in the one your mother made."

"Well that all depends on whether or not the information you have is good or not."

"What's your question?"

"Do you accept my offer? These goggles, for the information I want to know."

The man laughs looking up to the ceiling, "Welp can't push you for more so sure we have a deal. What is it you want to know?"

"What happened to my mom?"

"Oh. I would have thought you asked for your friend but. Your mom is an easy case. She's dead."

"How…" Akari stands up and steps towards the man, "Wait so you do know more about—"

The man stomps his feet on the floor. In a stern voice, he said, "Your mother chased after a villain and over-extended herself. Though there was a man who took her body. For what reason who knows? And before you ask, I don't know who that man is."

Akari takes a breath before sitting back down, "What about the villains she was after?"

"Died along with her. Bodies were also taken." The man put a finger to his chin and then relaxed his voice, "Except, there was one person who was there at the time. It was a little girl no one knows what happened to her after the incident. We don't keep strong tabs on things we deem not our problem. The man probably took her too."

Akari deactivated her quirk and placed her goggles on the desk, "Thank you for the information. It's not enough for me to give you my mother's pair but I hope you make do with mine."

"Such a shame, oh well. If you want we can even find more information. Of course, that'll cost you extra."

Akari looks at her satchel for a moment. "I don't have the funds to pay you." She says as she leaves the room and closes the door behind her. Youta was standing outside patiently waiting.

"I thought it would take you forever. It's late afternoon already. Also, Izuku called."

"Sorry I just needed to ask. Why did Izuku call?"

"I won't ask what you asked, I won't even ask about your situation. So please if you do need help… It just really looks like you really need help with something."

"Today is not about me. What did Izuku call for?"

Youta sighs, "Right, Izuku has a way to find out where the villains are. Asked me if I would like to join him along with some of his classmates."

"What!? With his injuries, he can barely even throw a punch now let alone walk!"

"Calm down Akari. A bit hypocritical for me to say since I thought the same," Youta facepalms. "This is a covert mission apparently. Go in, take Akumi and Bakugo, and go out. They have nothing planned. I guess they're alike in that aspect."

And then night came. Kirishima and Todoroki were waiting outside the front of the hospital. "Yaoyorozu said to give her time to think about it."

"Well, no matter how impatient we get. In the end, it's all up to her," Todoroki says.

"Ah she's here," said Kirishima as Yaoyorozu and Izuku walked out of the hospital. "What do you say Yaoyorozu?"

"I—"

"Wait!" Ida shouts from behind Kirishima and Todoroki. "Of all people. You guys should know better. Especially you two who scolded me for my reckless pursuit. Who received a special pardon after that incident. Why are you guys trying to make the same mistake I made!"

"What are you talking about man," Kirishima asks.

"We're still under the protection of the school. And now is the hardest time for UA. Who do you think will have to take responsibility for your actions?!"

Izuku walked in front of Ida, "That's not how it is, Ida. No one here said we're going to break any rules."

Ida punches Izuku across the face shouting, "I have regrets too! And of course, I'm worried! I'm your class president. Naturally, I worry about all my classmates, not just the two who were captured. Seeing you hurt reminded me of my injured brother! What happens if your little vigilante act takes you to places where there is no coming back!? Are you saying you don't give a damn! Are you saying you don't care how I feel?"

"Ida…"

"Leave it to Izuku to not explain anything," Youta spoke out from behind Ida with Akari beside him.

"Youta…" Surprise on Izuku's face.

"So this is her new motley crew. Have to say she even replaced me with two new red-haired."

"You're from class B," Kirishima said.

"So he appears again," said Todoroki.

"Izuku deserves that punch to the face," said Akari

"Wait, hold on a minute. Go back, what do you mean by Izuku not telling me anything?" Ida was a bit flustered.

"You're not thinking we were going to confront the villain's guns blazing, were you," Todoroki asked.

"We're going to rescue them without fighting. This is a covert operation. A way for us to fight without breaking rules," said Kirishima.

"I trust Todoroki, but I came with the intention to accompany you all to prevent combat from happening," Yaoyorozu said to Kirishima's relief and Ida's distress.

"I don't really understand it myself but after being told they're not out of reach yet. I just can't sit around," Izuku said.

"Not like we were going to let you sit around," Youta said and then placed a hand on his shoulder. "Izuku, you are the key to getting Akumi back to her senses."

"Oh wait, we forgot to ask how did you guys find Akumi or Bakugo," Akari asked.

"With this," Yaoyorozu pulls out a signal device.

Akari takes a look at it and notices the location, "Hey Youta, this place is different from where we were told to go."

This queued in Youta's brain, "Do you guys know who's in that area?"

"No, this tracks the Nomu I had a boy from your class put a tracker on."

"Akari and I know where Bakugo is. And if this tracker is saying another thing, that must be where Akumi is."

"Are you saying we have to split our group into two," Ida asked. "And how do you know that the place you're going is where Bakugo is?"

"I have many connections. Unlike Todoroki I used my father's influence to pull some strings." Youta pokes at Todoroki but he doesn't react.

"We shouldn't split our group. We have solid evidence that this is where they are. We can't just trust something someone else said," argued Kirishima.

"It's fine if you don't believe me. Besides, I alone am enough to go rescue Bakugo. Izuku should be in the group that goes after Akumi."

"Class B's ace won't be going nowhere alone," Tetsutetsu said from behind the group with Kendo next to him.

"As president of my class I should be the one to make sure our class doesn't get involved in any rule-breaking activities," Kendo says.

"Kendo, Tetsutetsu! What are you guys doing here," asked Youta.

"We were worried about you when you left the hospital yesterday. Knowing that you would have come back here to see Midoriya we waited and sure enough, here you are with a plan," replied Kendo.

"Don't worry Kirishima, you and your class can handle that place wherever you're going. And we will handle our place," said Tetsutetsu, pumping his fist.

"That plan sounds good, I hope you the best," Kirishima pumped his fist in response.

"Wait hold on, we shouldn't split our group. How do we know you aren't going to break any rule," Ida says.

"It's called trust. It's something you should know," Youta says.

"That way of thinking is one-sided." Then after a moment of thinking long and hard about his response he says, "I trust Izuku so if he trusts you then fine. We'll split the group. Just know I'll hold you accountable if I find out you broke the rules."

Everyone else unanimously agreed as classes A and B went their own way. Akari followed Class B's group but then was stopped by Youta, "Akari. I think you should head with group A."

"What why?"

"This is Bakugo we're talking about. If anyone you should be with, Izuku is going to need your help the most especially if Akumi is over there."

"Then what about you?"

"I have Kendo and Tetsutetsu. They're like my swords and I'm their shield. We'll be fine with just us. Plus it's better to move in multiples of three."

Concern on her face she asks, "Are you sure?"

With no hesitation, Youta responds, "Yes."

"Alright then… Good luck." Akari hesitates as she leaves to join group A taking one more glance at Youta.

"Ok, now that that's done. Let's go Kendo, Tetsutetsu. And before I forget, I'm sorry for how I acted before."

"It's fine. We somewhat understand how you feel," said Kendo.

"So where exactly are we going," Tetsutetsu asks.

"In a hidden bar located in Yokohama somewhere in Kamino Ward."

"That lowers it down a lot but that still leaves a lot to search."

"Don't worry, my informant said it should be obvious when we get there. Whatever that means."

With that, group B goes off to a hidden bar. When they arrived they hid from the pro heroes and policemen who were already on the scene outside the building. They seem to be waiting for something. But with a rallying cry from Tsukauchi, All Might smashed into the building. Followed by Kamui Wood binding all the villains inside with Edshot knocking out Kurogiri and then opening the door for the police team to enter.

A moment later sludge-like liquid appeared and Nomus emerged from them attacking the police group inside and outside the building. All Might, distracted for one moment, looks away from Bakugo which in terms leads to the sludge-like liquid appearing from the mouths of all the villains including Bakugo.

Youta flashes back to when he stood frozen in horror at the sludge villain that had entered Akumi and made her a hostage. His attention was hyper-focused on getting Bakugo out. This time it would not end like before as his quirk, already active, cut off the sludge and encased Bakugo, moving him away from the battle.

All Might knows immediately whose red light quirk this belongs to. Knowing that Bakugo is safe for now he takes out the Nomus in front of him as the league of villains escapes. Bakugo also knew whose light he was in which annoyed him.
