"It was about a month ago from what I heard." Don George said as he sat in a chair as Keats sat opposite of him, listening. "From what I was told by my brother in Striaton City, this kid came in and said he was from another region." He continued.
"Okay..." Keats said as he looked at the image of a teenage boy named Carter on Rotoms phone screen as it was on the table separating himself and Don George.
"He said his name was Carter and he wanted to join the circuit. He definitely didn't come off as shy or humble either, immediately brought up why he wanted to join to my brother and then he started travelling around the region to get to more of the clubs." Don George explained.
"Why did he want to join the Battle Club?" Keats questioned.
"Based on my brother, he wanted to join..." Don George said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a flyer, handing it to Keats. "Because of this." He said as Keats looked at the piece of advertisement that displayed a Pokéball filled with coins like a pot of gold.
'"The PokéPotluck Tournament?" He said he came for a competition?" Keats said, confused. "Definitely wasn't expecting that for a reason..." He thought as he continued to look at the flyer.
"From the words of my brother, he said Carter was "extremely interested" in participating." Don George said as he sat back in the chair.
"So... What's the PokéPotluck?" Keats asked.
"The Battle Club sometimes hosts tournaments for members of the circuit. We tend to just offer simple prizes for the top winners like special Pokéballs or enhancement items." Don George explained. "But awhile back, me and my brothers got enough sponsors together for a new tournament with a substantial cash prize." He continued as Keats looked away from the flyer and locked eyes with Don George.
"So that's where the "potluck" name came from." Keats said.
"Precisely. My brother in Nimbasa City came up with it." Don George said with a shrug.
"...When I typed in "Mega Evolution" into the Battle Club records, his name was the only name that came up. But something doesn't make any sense to me though..." Keats asked.
"What do you mean?" Don George replied.
"If he is who I think he is, he has one of my sisters Pokémon. And if it's true he is using one of those Pokémon, then how is he using it? That's the question." Keats said with a serious tone.
"Like I said to you earlier today, that's a heavy allegation." Don George said as he sat up.
"I was thinking about it. Only theories I had was coercion or maybe brainwashing." Keats said as he scratched his head. "Threatening my sisters Pokémon to act like his own or using a Pokémon like a Ghost type or a Psychic type to control it." He continued as Don George shook his head.
"That's not possible." Don George said bluntly as he crossed his arms.
"...How?" Keats questioned.
"Click on his icon." Don George said as he pointed at the Rotom phone.
Clicking his profile icon, Keats opened up Carters trainer card, showing a physical image of the blonde mullet sporting teen and his win/loss record of twenty-six wins and zero losses. Looking further down his card, Keats looked at Carters owned Pokémon; a small and humanoid creature with bladed hands, a floating black and white eel creature with round white eyes and, most notably, a tall brown rabbit-like Pokémon wearing an armband with a stone embedded in it.
"His Pokémon are a Pawniard, an Eelektrik and a Lopu-" Don George said until Keats cut him off with his eyes widened.
"Lopunny!" Keats exclaimed loudly. "That's my sisters!" He said frantically.
"Calm down!" Don George said as he put his hands on Keats shoulders to keep him from acting up.
"This Pokémon, right here. This is my sisters. The photo even has the Mega Evolution stone in the exact spot she kept it." Keats said as he pointed at the photo of Lopunny.
"You may say that, but this Pokémon has acted like Carter is its trainer." Don George said.
"What do you mean?" Keats replied.
"About a week ago, maybe nine days at most, Carter came through here for a few battles. It was my first time meeting him." Don George said. "I remember refereeing the battles and he fought all of them with just his Lopunny." He said as he recalled when he met Carter. "Won all of them after he Mega Evolved it and the entire time, the Pokémon was completely stoic and obedient." Don George continued.
"But how is that even possible?" Keats asked. "His other Pokémon aren't Psychic types to use their weird powers on Lopunny and it isn't possessed by a Ghost type... Not even the Abra from that night. What other way could he have it under control?" He thought with concern.
"You don't suppose he isn't who you're looking for?" Don George asked as Keats looked at Don George with an unsure expression.
"He's the only lead I have, and your system has photo evidence of the Lopunny wearing the Mega Stone in the same spot as my sisters." Keats explained.
"Could just be a common spot to wear the stone..." Don George replied with a logical assumption as Keats put his hands on his face.
"...Do you have any idea where this kid is?" Keats asked as he looked at Don George.
"My guess would probably be in Castelia City in southern Unova." Don George said as he scratched his chin. "That's where the preliminary contest will be for the PokéPotluck Tournament." He continued.
"Where's that? There are no routes out of Virbank City except for back to Floccesy Town." Keats questioned.
"You have to take a boat to get there. The preliminary contest for the tournament is a fishing contest in the harbor of Castelia City. Carter is there probably, prepping for when the tournament takes place." Don George explained as Keats' eyes widened.
"...I have to go by boat?" Keats said as his face started to turn slightly blue.
"Yeah. There a problem?" Don George as Keats begun to look sickly.
"N-no..." Keats said in a troubled tone. "I'm going to be barfing the whole way there..." He thought in misery as Don George regained his attention.
"Hold on, what are you planning to do?" Don George questioned.
"I'm gonna go to Castelia City and find this brat and get him to confess to stealing my sisters Pokémon." Keats said as he stood up, walking towards the exit as Don George followed after him.
"And without proof, you're basically making a fool of yourself." Don George explained as Keats stopped and turned back towards the Battle Club manager, wincing in realization. "Let's say Carter does have the Pokémon stolen from Marie Dibiase, confronting him and telling him to just give back the Pokémon is a ludicrous idea." He continued to explain.
"It's the only thing I can do..." Keats replied.
"Not technically..." Don George said as he crossed his arms as Keats raised an eyebrow. "You could try and beat him in battle." He said as Keats looked at him with surprise.
"He can't be serious..." Keats thought with confusion.
"If Carter is looking to participate in the PokéPotluck tournament, then he is going to be participating in battles. If you want to confront him, confront him like a trainer..." Don George said with a serious tone.
"...A fishing contest is the prelims?" Keats asked.
"Yup. We thought it was a good idea for a prelim to not have it be a battle tournament so that all the trainers could save their strengths for the PokéPotluck." Don George replied plainly. "The fishing contest is in two days. You're going to want to hurry for a trip aboard a ship in the morning." He continued as Keats just swallowed spit in nervousness.
"...Maybe if I'm lucky, I can just find him there and get Pineco to explode in his face and then just take Lopunny's Pokéball..." Keats thought as he as looked at Don George, mentally trying to come up with an alternative to battling.
As the two talked, a siren begun to blare as Don George and Keats turned their attention to outside the Battle Club as they saw blue and red lights flashing. As they looked with confusion, a short blue haired woman in a cream-colored police uniform had entered through the front door.
"Officer Jenny?" Keats said with confusion. "Must be the Unova branch of her families police force... Not a fan of the ridiculously short hair." He thought as he looked at her as she approached the pair.
"I'm sorry for the late visit but I am checking to see if anyone might have any information on what happened nearby." Officer Jenny said as she spoke up.
"What happened?" Don George said as Keats raised an eyebrow.
"A fire broke out in the park a few moments ago. The police and the fire department are on their way to handle it." Officer Jenny said as Keats' eyes widened.
"How'd that happen?" Don George questioned.
"Based on the call, someone left out one of those battery powered hotplates in the grass and forgot to turn it off. Simple mistake but it still led to a sizable number of bushes and trees catching fire so we're deploying the Tympole Fire Squad to take care of it." Officer Jenny explained as Keats started to sweat.
"That's nuts. Who'd be dumb enough to leave a hotplate on in a patch of grass?" Don George said casually with folded arms.
"This guy... Thankfully I kept the receipt." Keats thought as he mentally admitted he started a fire and had no desire to take responsibility.
"Sorry to say, I know nothing about it. How about you Keats?" Don George said as he turned towards the chubby sweating trainer.
"Hu-huh?! I ain't do nothing!" Keats exclaimed in surprise. "I-I mean, I don't know anything..." He said as he attempted to correct himself. "Pardon me, I gotta go to bed." Keats continued as he walked towards the door.
"Uh-huh..." Don George muttered as Keats walked out the door.
"...Okay time to find a different place to sleep tonight..." Keats thought as he scratched his head as he slowly walked away from the Battle Club down the road before quickly sprinting as far as he could away from the park and the smoke coming from it.

The next day, with the sun now overhead, Keats avoided the park he started a fire in by going to a different part of the city and sleeping inside a brown cardboard box in an alleyway.
"Haaaa..." Keats mumbled as he laid on the ground, using the box like a blanket as one of his two messenger bags nearby were beginning to shift and stir.
"Zzzzt." Rotom muttered as it floated out of the messenger bag into the air. "Keatzzzz? Where are we?" The phone Pokémon said as it looked around for the trainer it was accompanying before looking at their surroundings.
"Ugh... It's a hiding hole..." Keats said as he opened his eyes slightly while on the ground, looking up at the floating phone. "Hopefully the park didn't burn down..." He thought as he remembered why they were hiding.
"Hiding from what, zzzzt?" Rotom asked in curiosity.
"...Best not to ask..." Keats said as he turned around on the ground, his back now facing the floating phone.
"Uh-huh... Well, did you look into finding one of the thievezzzz?" Rotom asked as Keats scratched his head.
"Yeah... I think..." Keats said in a tired tone. "The only likely suspect..." He thought as he pondered his next step.
"And?" Rotom asked as Keats rolled his eyes and proceeded to crawl out of the box, getting back to his feet.
"Could you stop asking so many questions?!" Keats exclaimed in frustration. "God! I'm trying to think!" He said as he put his hands on his face and hunched over.
"I just want to know what'zzzz going on! I've been "power napping" this whole time, I need to be kept up to date!" Rotom shouted in similar frustration.
"Alright fine. I looked at the records, there's some teen named Carter in Castelia City right now who has a Lopunny." Keats explained.
"Oh, let me look up its Dex entry." Rotom said as its screen changed into the PokéDex entry for Lopunny as Keats looked at the phone with annoyance. '"Lopunny, the Rabbit Pokémon, a Normal type. Lopunny is constantly monitoring its surroundings. If danger approaches, this Pokémon responds with super destructive kicks."' The phone Pokémon explained.
"Yeah, I know. My sisters Lopunny would kick me every now and again back at the ranch when I grabbed its ears on accident." Keats said. "Anyway, this Carter kid also has the Mega Evolution stone for Lopunny and he's in the Battle Club circuit, he's our prime suspect..." He continued to explain as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Zzzzo we have a target finally." Rotom said as the phone Pokémon switched screens over to a dialer.
"Rotom?" Keats said in confusion.
"Call Marie, zzzzt." Rotom said plainly as Keats looked at the phone.
"Why?" Keats asked.
"Thizzzz seems like the best time for it! She should be kept up to date as well." Rotom said as the dialer proceeded to go off, contacting Keats' sister.
"Rotom! Don't just make phone calls without me asking- grrr..." Keats said until he stopped to grumble.
On Rotoms screen, a video call of the inside of the Rarest Level Ranch house appeared as Marie walked in front of the camera, holding a Lombre in her arms as she noticed Keats appear on a computer screen on a desk in her home.
"Keats?" Marie said in confusion as she sat in a chair, putting the Lombre down on the floor. "Hey Adam, can you take care of the Pokémon for a moment? I gotta take this." She said as her husband walked behind her and picked up the Lombre Marie placed a moment ago.
"He-hey?" Keats said nervously. "Don't mention giant Pinecos, fires or buried dragons. Don't mention giant Pinecos, fires or buried Druddigons. Don't mention giant Pinecos, fires or buried Druddigons..." He thought on repeat to avoid mentioning the various mishaps he's caused.
"Been al-" Marie said until Keats cut her off.
"I ain't do nothing!" Keats exclaimed while sweating as he looked at the floating screen.
"Huh?" Marie replied.
"I mean... How you doing?" Keats said in a suspicious manner. "Dang it! Dang it! Dang it!" He thought in frustration.
"...Okay? You?" Marie said with a raised eyebrow. "As nuts as ever..." She thought as she watched her younger brother on the computer screen.
"I'm... Doing?" Keats said, unsure.
"How's Pineco and Timburr?" Marie asked.
"They're fin- wait... How do you know I have a Timburr?" Keats said until he stopped to question his sister.
"I have the computer here set up to keep track of your trainer progress." Marie explained.
"...Huh?" Keats muttered.
"Most trainers have access to a computer linked somewhere for their Pokémon. They use them to keep track of their progress, swap Pokémon around and can use their PokéDex to access them as well." Marie said. "Didn't Rotom tell you all of this?" She continued as the screen switched back to Rotoms face.
"No because he hazzzzn't been paying attention long enough for me to begin to tell him." Rotom said with a judgmental expression on its screen.
"Just put my sister back on!" Keats exclaimed angrily as Rotom disappeared and Marie reappeared on the phone.
"So enough with all the banter. How's the Pokémon?" Marie said as Keats looked at her.
"Pineco is fine. Timburr is fine. It's just..." Keats said with a concerned expression.
'"Just?"' Marie repeated.
"I think I have a lead." Keats said in as serious of a tone as he could muster.
"...Wait..." Marie said with a surprised expression. "Really?" She continued as Keats was taken aback by her response.
"...You seem like you're shocked..." Keats said with squinted eyes.
"I said I was patient when you started this little investigation of yours so I'm actually kinda surprised you found anything this fast." Marie said honestly.
"How long were you expecting me to take?! Months?!" Keats exclaimed.
"...Yeah." Marie replied bluntly as Keats hung his head in shame.
"Zero faith..." Keats thought with annoyance.
"Sorry, forget it. You were saying?" Marie said, attempting to steer the conversation back on point as Keats lifted his head.
"Uh yeah. Okay so, I got to a Battle Club and got registered. I checked through the records and found this kid named Carter. I think he's the punk who stepped on my hand." Keats explained as he pointed at his palm. "Rotom, can you show the photos to her?" He asked towards Rotom as its face appeared on screen once again.
"Got it, zzzzt." Rotom said as its screen shared the images of a teenage boy with a blonde mullet.
"Looks like he's about thirteen years old. Okay, and?" Marie said as she looked at the photo.
"Rotom, scroll down to his Pokémon photos." Keats asked once more.
"Zzzzure." Rotom said as it scrolled down to the photos of Pawniard, Eelektrik and then, lastly, Lopunny.
As Marie looked at the photo of Lopunny, she examined the form of the last Pokémon until her eyes shifted towards the right wrist and spotted a bracelet with a stone embedded in it. Realizing what was there and a feeling of familiarity beginning to rise within her, Maries eyes widened in surprise.
"...That's her..." Marie said with a serious tone. "That's my Lopunny..." She said as Keats reappeared on the screen. "...And this kid didn't even take off the Mega Stone from her wrist?" Marie thought as she scratched her chin.
"Yeah! That's what I said!" Keats shouted. "Don George sure as hell didn't believe me when I said it either!" He continued.
"He's using my Lopunny in the circuit?" Marie asked.
"Yeah, but I seriously don't know how that's even possible." Keats said with his arms folded. "He doesn't have any Psychic or Ghost types that could be manipulating Lopunny to battle for him." He continued.
"...Your guess is as good as mine." Marie said with her head shaking, completely unsure of what to think.
"I talked with Don George, and he said Carter should be competing in some kind of fishing contest in Castelia City in the next couple of days so he could qualify for some tournament." Keats said.
"What kind of tournament? The Club Battle? The Junior Cup?" Marie questioned, naming competitions she was in when she went to the Battle Clubs.
"No, it's something called "the PokéPotluck." It's some kind of multi-sponsored battle tournament with a cash prize." Keats replied.
"A cash prize tournament..." Marie thought as she looked at her brother. "You don't suppose he's seriously using my Lopunny just for that...?" She questioned as Keats shrugged. "I mean... Some people like to have battles for profit, I dabbled in that every now and again when I was a regular battler but to go as far as to steal one of my Pokémon just for this?" Marie said.
'"...Battles for profit" are a thing?" Keats said with wide eyes.
"Yeah, every now and again, you'll find some random schmuck on the gym trails who will want to battle and if you lose, you have to give them a couple of bucks from your wallet but if you're smart with how you raise your Pokémon, you shouldn't have to worry. More often than not, you'll be taking their money." Marie explained as Keats looked at her with confusion. "You'll find tournaments with prize pools to be more common for that though. It's not that popular of a practice nowadays to take money from other trainers." She continued.
"Why is being a Pokémon trainer so strange?" Keats thought with a headshake. "All I know is that I am going to try and get to Castelia City, find him and then get Timburr to stick his log up his butt." He said with an angry face as he got back on topic.
"...That's an image." Marie said with a surprised tone. "Don't think you're going to get away with doing that though..." She thought with concern.
"Or I could throw Pineco at him. An explosion like that could probably tear him to shreds and then I could just take Lopunny off his smoldering body." Keats said as he begun to sadistically grin.
"Keats. No." Marie said as she caught her brother's attention.
"Oh, come on! I at least deserve to beat him into a paste for breaking my hand!" Keats complained as he pointed at his wrist.
"Violence aside... I think you should handle this more like a trainer would." Marie said as Keats looked at her.
"What do you mean? You want me to battle him?" Keats said. "Deja vu." He thought as he remembered Don Georges words to him.
"Not just that, why not participate in the fishing contest and then compete in the PokéPotluck? It could be good experience for you." Marie asked.
"Yeah, great idea. And maybe while I'm at it, I'll start a blog on how to apply upholstery to walls- oh wait, I suck at battles! That's a horrible idea!" Keats said angrily. "I just lost two battles yesterday to some kid with a massive monster made of stones and some skinny guy with a Pokémon I was expected to beat! There's no way I'm gonna beat this punk fair and square in an official battle!" He continued to object.
"I don't think it's that bad of an idea." Marie said with a shrug as Keats looked at her with confusion.
"Plus, he has his own Pokémon on top of your ridiculously strong Lopunny, how am I supposed to compete with that? Alongside having to face other trainers." Keats said.
"You're never gonna get better unless you start trying." Marie replied as Rotoms face returned to the screen.
"That'zzzz what I said!" Rotom exclaimed in a frustrated tone as Keats made a fed-up expression.
"Yeah, and how do I do that?! I felt pretty disinterested in continuing after losing two battles in a row... I was so upset; I went to the park and cooked pasta." Keats explained.
"Losing comes with the territory of competition." Marie said plainly.
"Oh, like that makes it better..." Keats said with a sour tone.
"Complaining is one thing but everyone starts somewhere." Marie said with her arms folded as Rotoms face appeared again.
"Zzzzee, even she's saying it now." Rotom said with a smug expression.
"Will you just shut up!?" Keats screamed angrily as Marie returned to the screen. "Why do you think it's a good idea I face this Carter kid? I just need to get your Lopunny back and then find out where the other thieves are with the rest of them." He questioned.
"Back when I was a trainer fulltime, almost every dispute was always best settled with a Pokémon battle. If you both are in that potluck tournament, you can beat him, knock out all of his Pokémon and then you can interrogate him all you want because he'll know he's no match." Marie said, giving her brother an option.
"Or maybe, I can go with "Plan A" and just threaten him with an explosive Bug type..." Keats said with a tired and angry tone as Marie sighed.
"Look, you're a grown man, it's your call but at least consider that option. I'll talk to you later Keats." Marie said as she clicked on the keyboard in front of her and the call ended as Rotoms face appeared once again.
"Well, that could've gone better, zzzzt..." Rotom said.
"Don't get me started." Keats said with frustration.
"She's not wrong, zzzzt." Rotom replied.
"Yeah, yeah..." Keats said. "I'm not in the mood to get my butt handed to me again." He thought with annoyance.
As Keats looked up at the sky, he saw the random Flying type Pokémon go by overhead and just sighed in agitation. Scratching at his forehead, he turned back towards Rotom as the phone looked at him with a judgmental face before switching to Carters profile once more.
"...I gotta find this punk..." Keats thought as he grabbed Rotom out of the air and placed the phone Pokémon in his pocket before grabbing his bags and placing them over his shoulders.
Turning around to leave the alley, Keats looked up again at the sky and noticed something descending slowly towards him. Squinting to see further, he suddenly opened them in horror as he noticed a familiar flat creature with an angry face gliding towards him as he recognized the violent Stunfisk had returned.
"Stunfisk!" Stunfisk shouted as Keats jaw dropped in fear.
"Uuuuuaaaahhhhhh!" Keats shrieked as he quickly ran out of the alley as his screams echoed through the streets as he bumped into multiple people as Stunfisk landed on the ground and flopped after Keats. "Leave me alone you weird thing!" He exclaimed as he looked back to see Stunfisk angrily chasing him.
As he ran down the road, the Virbank City Officer Jenny was approaching on her motorcycle as she stopped while Keats was running in her direction.
"Oh, it's that guy from last night. Hey!" Officer Jenny said as Keats ran towards her, not noticing the Stunfisk chasing him from behind. "I need to have a word with you about the park fire- oof!" She said as Keats ran past her, completely ignoring what she was saying until she suddenly felt the feeling of something flat hitting her in the stomach.
Knocking her off her bike was Stunfisk, using "Bounce" to jump high into the air and then slamming its body into Officer Jenny's sternum. The wind knocked out of her, she clutched at her chest and belly in pain as Stunfisk flopped past after striking her, attempting to catch up to Keats to attack him.
Running towards the Virbank City docks, Keats looked around frantically for a boat that was boarding. Seeing various boats leaving the docks, Keats looked on in despair as he saw zero ships that were accepting people to get on until he noticed a nearby stand with motor equipped rowboats. Glancing back and seeing Stunfisk flopping past nearby passerby's, Keats rushed to the rental shop.
"Hi and welcome to- waha!" The rental stand owner said until Keats reached over and grabbed him by the collar, cutting him off.
"Shut up and give me a boat! My life depends on it!" Keats screamed as he shifted his head in the direction of where Stunfisk was coming from and then back to the salesman.
"O-okay?!" The rental stand owner said as he pointed at one of the boats on the dock and Keats slammed a handful of dollar bills into the salesman's chest before running away as Stunfisk flopped by and gave a hard glare towards the man. "Gifuh!" He squealed in fear as the sudden and evil look it shot him caused him to wince.
Jumping off the dock and onto the boat, Keats took his bags off and then proceeded to turn on the motor as he begun to sail away from the dock as Stunfisk looked on.
"Oh... Oh... Oh thank God..." Keats said with heavy breathing as Rotom popped out of his pocket.
"You blew it up and it zzzztill following uzzzz?!" Rotom said in shock as Keats looked at the phone Pokémon as it floated in speed with the boat.
"Yeah, I know... At least it's not able to follow us now that we're on the water since it's a Ground and Electric- tyhiahpe!" Keats said as he looked back towards the dock and noticed Stunfisk jump into the water and it proceeded to swim after Keats, prompting him and Rotom to look at each other with open jaws.
'"Aaaahhhh!"' Keats and Rotom screamed in unison as Keats pulled harder on the pump for the motor to make the boat move faster as the angry Stunfisk followed.

Sitting in front of the same computer she was sitting in front of to talk to her brother, Marie sat in a chair with a contemplative expression as she looked at the keyboard as her husband walked by, holding a Wooper in his arms.
"Everything okay?" Adam said as he looked at his wife.
"Huh?" Marie muttered as she noticed Adam. "Oh, it's nothing, Keats got some info and I'm just trying to process- huh?" She continued until she noticed the computer lit up once again with a call number that listed "Unova" as its location I.D.
"Is it Keats again?" Adam asked with a raised eyebrow.
"No, his caller I.D. in his Rotom phone lists himself as "IceCreamLord55" for some reason. This is someone else." Marie said as she pressed a button on the keyboard as a familiar large man with a moustache and wearing a martial arts gi had appeared.
"Hello. Is this Marie Dibiase?" Don George said as he held a phone to his ear.
"Oh hey, which member of the family are you?" Marie said as she looked at the screen.
"I'm the Don George stationed out of Virbank City." Don George said. "It's been a while, Marie. How have you been?" He asked with a relaxed smile.
"Oh, you know, running a tough business involving Pokémon and trainers. You can relate." Marie said with a smirk as she sat back in her chair. "Haven't been to Virbank in a long time. Last time I was there, I won a double battle against some girl with a Simisear and a Unfezant." She said as she remembered a battle she once had.
"As much as I would like to take a trip down memory lane, I have a specific reason for my call." Don George said as he looked at Marie on the screen.
"Does this happen to do with my brother?" Marie asked.
"Chubby, bearded and strange?" Don George replied.
"Definitely Keats." Marie said with a smile and shake of her head.
"He came here asking about a trainer that he claims has a Pokémon belonging to you. A Lopunny with a Mega Stone?" Don George said.
"He contacted me a moment ago. Yeah... That is definitely mine." Marie said with her arms folded.
"Hmmmm..." Don George mumbled as he scratched his chin.
Reluctantly crouched at the starting line... Engines pumping and thumping in time- Oh crap! Sorry! Was listening to music. A trainer named Carter has Maries Lopunny and is participating in a fishing contest in Castelia City so he can qualify for the PokéPotluck cash prize tournament, but hot on his trail is Keats who... Sadly, is not prepared to have a Pokémon battle with the thieving teen. But Keats has many other issues to deal with before he reaches Castelia City, namely hiding the fact he set a park on fire and is still being pursued by a violent Stunfisk. What happens next? Who knows! To be continued!
Keats' Pokémon:
1. Pineco.
2. Timburr.
Authors Note: (For anyone who joined after a certain point, I renamed Maries husband from "Adam" to "Aldin" through editing the previous chapters he appeared in as I felt I could have come up with a better and more unique name. Until I realized Alder was a character I used in the story and that's really close in pronunciation, I decided to go back and rename him back to "Adam" so for anyone noticing, sorry for the confusion.)
