Pitch-black darkness with only herself on the floor, Anik was laying on her chest as she started to stir, her eyes twitching.

"Ow..." Anik muttered as she opened her eyes and got to her knees. "Wha-what happened?" She thought before taking off her glasses, checking them for a brief moment to see if they were broken.

Looking around, the darkness dissipated as Anik noticed she was on top of a hill in the middle of an unfamiliar forest, the stars overhead in the night sky. Nearby, the astronomy enthusiast turned her head and noticed a telescope set up on a tripod next to her.

"When did I get outside?" Anik said to herself as she looked around and noticed no one was around. "I thought I was just with Keats and the others in that mansion and then there was that butler..." She thought for a moment before looking up at the sky.

Spotting the stars, Anik's eyes widened as she saw several groupings that were unfamiliar to her. Feeling like an opportunity was approaching to fuel her passion, Anik stepped over to the telescope and begun to look up at the sky.

"Oooooh!" Anik mentally exclaimed. "That's a new one! Oh! That one too!" She continued, mentally amazed by the constellations in the sky. "I should jot some of these down for later!" Anik thought as she reached behind her, looking for a pen and something to write on.

As she turned her head away, a loud bang suddenly appeared from a few meters in front of her, causing her to quickly jerk her head forward. Looking on, Anik made a confused and shocked expression as a large object shaped like a five-point star was embedded in the ground, a large crater around it from the impact.

"What the-" Anik said to herself before another bang appeared right behind her.

Turning around, another five-point star within a crater caused a gust of wind to hit her. Horrified, Anik looked upward as one-by-one, the stars were falling out of the sky and careening towards the ground.

"The sky is falling!" Anik exclaimed in shock as she spotted the stars were falling and heading in her direction.

Running for her life, Anik covered her head with her hands as the stars begun to explode upon impact with the ground. Unbeknownst to her, a silhouette of a ghostly creature with a purple shroud-like body and a witch's hat-like head was floating in the sky, watching Anik running with amusement.

Laying on her back in the pitch-black darkness was Tamara, her cane away from her body and her sunglasses off her face and on the ground. Stirring, the blind psychic girl sat on the ground as she reached around, attempting to grab her cane and her glasses.

"Where is it? Where is it?!" Tamara said as before finding her glasses. "Ah!" She grunted as she placed them on her face, a sigh of relief coming out of her mouth. "Now my cane..." Tamara said as she started reaching around for her cane.

After being able to grasp the handle, Tamara got to her feet as she started to shift the red tip of her cane at the ground in an attempt to touch objects to see where she was.

"Nothing I can touch with my cane... What about people? Maybe I can listen for Ambrose or Anik." Tamara thought as she stood completely still, attempting to listen for anyone's thoughts.

Suddenly, a deafening high-pitched wail ringed in her head as Tamara dropped her cane from the feeling of it causing her great pain. Falling to her knees, Tamara tried to stop the noise by trying to ignore it as she breathed heavily.

"Argh!" Tamara exclaimed, not being able to sense the darkly colored large smiling creature behind her with red eyes, a rounded body with spiky ears and stubby arms and legs with three fingers and toes.

The large shadowy creature reached forward and picked up Tamara's cane, her failing to notice as the creature lifted up the cane and whacked her in the back with it, causing her to fall forward onto her chest.

"Aow!" Tamara grunted in pain as she clutched at where she was struck. "Who-who did that?!" She said with an angry tone as she couldn't tell where anyone or anything was as she rushed back to her feet. "Do-don't mess with me! I got a Tangela and I'm not afraid to-" Tamara continued as she reached for her pockets to try and grab Tangela's Pokéball, only to find that it wasn't on her.

The large shadowy creature holding Tamara's cane then proceeded to lift it up and then slammed it against the ground, breaking it as Tamara heard the snapping noise.

"Hey! Hey! My cane!" Tamara exclaimed, correctly guessing that her cane was just broken.

As she tried to walk forward, a round creature that appeared similar to a gaseous ball with a purple aura appeared around where her legs were and caused Tamara to fall forward again, this time causing her glasses to fly off her face and her smacking her face against the floor.

"Oww! What was that?!" Tamara said as she turned her head in multiple directions, unable to see the floating gaseous balls with maliciously smirking faces behind her. "I have to sense what's- aahhhhh!" She thought, attempting to hear what was going on until being struck with the high-pitched wail once more. "Ahhhh!" Tamara shouted in agony as the creatures surrounding her looked on with gleeful expressions.

Opening his eyes, Ambrose sat up as he clutched at his head, shaking it to wake himself up.

"That was... A Haunter... And a big one at that..." Ambrose thought, remembering what happened moments earlier. "I let my guard down around a Ghost type... I can't believe this!" He said aloud to himself as he slammed the back of his fist against the ground.

Standing up, the teenage ghost hunter dusted himself off as he looked around, noticing that he was in a small, dark and unfamiliar room. Attempting to find an exit, Ambrose looked around as he noticed the room he was in was filled with naked dress mannequins with a single painting at the end of the room.

"...This room is giving me the creeps." Ambrose thought as he looked at all the mannequins before spotting the painting.

Walking over to the painting, Ambrose became curious as he approached and examined it. Surrounded by a single decorative frame was a white massive white image with a single tiny black dot in the center of it. His eyes squinting, Ambrose begun to notice something strange about the painting.

"Huh?" Ambrose muttered.

As he looked at the dot, Ambrose noticed it was suddenly but slowly getting bigger. As it grew larger, a red dot begun to form in the center of the darkness as Ambrose's eyes widened.

"What the heck?" Ambrose said with a disturbed but quiet voice as he noticed ten white dots like fingertips were beginning to form in the painting.

"Clooooops." A voice said as Ambrose looked around upon hearing it.

'"Clops?"... Oh no... I know what said that!" Ambrose thought as he reached for his Pokéballs in his pocket. "Crawda- huh?!" He said, preparing to pull out one of his Pokémon until realizing he didn't have his Pokéballs on his person.

"Clooooopps." The voice said again as a white hand emerged from the painting.

Terrified, Ambrose turned around and attempted to run away from the creature emerging from the painting, bumping into the mannequins and knocking them over as he ran into one of the walls of the room, trying to find a door to escape.

"Heeeelp! Heeeelp!" Ambrose screamed, begging for someone to get him out of the room as the creature started to emerge from the painting.

Just like his companions, Keats stirred on the ground as he laid on his stomach. Getting to his feet, the husky framed trainer wiped himself off and looked around at the darkness, failing to see anything.

"...Did I get smashed again?" Keats said aloud to himself. "No... No, I didn't drink anything. Didn't even have any of the casserole." He said to himself as he recalled what happened earlier in the dining room with the butler. "Well... Now I'm no longer in that mansion. Good, now I won't get reprimanded for sneezing on that painting... Or for trying to take some of the silverware from off the table." Keats thought.

With the darkness disappearing, Keats noticed the room brightened until the entire location changed, Keats tilting his head in a confused manner. Standing in the backyard of his sister's ranch, Keats stood in front of his trailer as he looked around and noticed a surprising lack of Pokémon.

"I'm home?" Keats questioned. "Where's all the Pokémon? Is it another offseason at my sister's place? Wait... It's not September..." He thought as he scratched his beard. "Maybe I should-" Keats said until stopping what he was saying and then looked over at the steps leading into his trailer.

On the bottom step was a white envelope addressed to him. With a serious look in his eyes, Keats walked over to the entrance to his home and picked up the envelope. Looking at it for a quick second, he shifted his hand towards the flap to open it until suddenly stopping and then putting it back down on the ground.

"You know what... Nah." Keats thought as he opened up the door and went inside his trailer.

After closing the door behind him, a dark grey creature with white hands, a pair of white bandage-like extensions sticking out of its back and a single red eye materialized. Looking around with confusion, the creature slowly walked forward in the direction of the cabin as it phased its eye to peek inside, watching as Keats was searching for something in his fridge.

"Wow, fully stocked." Keats said as he pulled out a can of soda before walking over to a coffee maker. "Good, nice and hot." He said to himself with a smile as he sipped the soda before putting down the can.

"Dusclooooops." The creature muttered as it phased through the wall and entered into Keats' home, the husky framed trainer turning to look in response.

"Hello, you didn't knock, one eyed Pokémon." Keats said with a casual tone as he grabbed the coffee pot.

"Clooooopppss!" The creature screamed as it started to radiate a ghostly energy from its body.

Nonchalantly, Keats walked over to the Pokémon and proceeded to throw the piping hot liquid in the face of the Pokémon, its aura disappearing as the brown fluid went directly into its red eye.

"Duuuuuusssc!" The creature screamed as it started to violently flail as the entire trailer that they were standing in begun to melt like ice cream left out in the sun.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Old Chateau, 9:37 p.m. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Standing over Keats as he laid on a bed in one of the Chateau's guest rooms was the one-eyed Pokémon, floating over his head, with its hands glowing a bright purple and Keats' head also glowing the same color. Opening his eyes, Keats quickly jumped to his feet and turned around to confront the creature.

"Ha!" Keats exclaimed as he reached into his pocket and pulled out Rotom. "Turn on, you dumb phone!" He muttered as he held the button to turn on the phone Pokémon.

"Ah! Finally, I'm- huh, zzzzt?!" Rotom said as it floated into the air and then spotting the floating one-eyed Pokémon, it now glaring in anger at Keats.

"That thing was messing with my brain!" Keats said as he pointed at the creature, Rotom scanning it for its PokéDex entry. "And where's my stuff?!" He thought as he noticed he didn't have his twin messenger bags on him.

'"Dusclops, the Beckon Pokémon, a Ghost type. Dusclops's true form is said to be a bright red eye burning within its body, but no one has ever seen such a thing."' Rotom said, giving information on Dusclops.

"Duuuuuscc!" The wild Dusclops exclaimed in anger as it landed on the bed, standing on it.

"Neat, now get out of the way!" Keats said as he pulled out Druddigon's Ultra Ball, still having access to his Pokéballs. "Druddigon, you're on call!" He exclaimed as he jumped backwards and let loose his Dragon type Pokémon.

"Drudddigon!" Druddigon roared as he locked his eyes with the singular red eye of the Dusclops.

"Dusclops!" Dusclops said as it put its hands together, a ball of shadowy energy forming.

"It'zzzz about to use "Shadow Ball!"' Rotom exclaimed.

"Druddigon, use "Bite!"' Keats ordered as Druddigon's teeth begun to glow purple.

Jumping forward, Druddigon opened its mouth and then bit the orb of dark energy, exploding in the face of Dusclops as the small blast caused the Dusclops to phase through the wall of the room, leaving behind Keats, Rotom and his Druddigon.

"Woo!" Keats shouted in happiness.

"Drudd!" Druddigon said with a smile towards Keats.

"Keatzzzz, where are we?" Rotom asked towards the husky framed trainer.

"Uhhh... Think we're still inside the freaky manor." Keats said as he looked around at the room. "Oh, wait." He said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out Skuntank's Pokéball, calling out the purple and creme colored skunk-like Pokémon. "A bit of super effective backup wouldn't hurt..." Keats thought.

"Skunktank!" Skuntank grunted as he looked over at Druddigon, the two sharing a nod as Keats looked at Rotom.

"Where are the otherzzzz?" Rotom said as it floated around the room.

"I don't know, all I remember was the casserole wasn't made with love and a Haunter ate us." Keats replied. "Then all of a sudden I'm back home and I find an envelope on my doorstep and then I realized I was dreaming." He continued as Rotom looked at him.

"How'd you figure it out, zzzzt?" Rotom questioned. "That's almost impressive he figured it out on his own." The phone Pokémon thought.

"Because I recognized the dream, it's a nightmare I've had a number of times." Keats said as Druddigon and Skuntank looked at him.

'"A nightmare?" That might mean that Dusclopzzzz was using "Dream Eater" on you." Rotom explained.

"Well, it did a crap job at eating anything in my dreams, the fridge in the fake trailer was filled!" Keats exclaimed as Rotom made half-closed eyes on its screen.

"It was trying to eat your consciousness, not what was in your fridge." Rotom thought while judging Keats' strange behavior. "But then how did you wake up, zzzzt?" The phone Pokémon asked.

"Well, I sort of recognized that the Pokémon was a Ghost type, so I did the thing that got me banned from interacting with the Ghost type Pokémon back in Ecruteak City." Keats said.

"...And that wazzzz?" Rotom continued to question.

"I threw hot coffee on it." Keats replied as all of the Pokémon stared at him with bewildered looks.

"What, zzzzt?!" Rotom exclaimed. "You got banned for- why were you doing that in the first place?!" The phone Pokémon said. "If he throws coffee on me, I'm going to kill him..." Rotom thought.

"You know how when you watch a ghost movie or enter a room with Ghost types in it, the room suddenly gets really cold. I always thought that was because Ghost type Pokémon are naturally freezing, like Ice types. I got in trouble a bunch of times around the Ecruteak City gym when I would interact with the Ghost type Pokémon, and I thought I was helping by throwing coffee on them." Keats explained with a dumb look on his face. "When in doubt, warm up with coffee, right?" He thought.

"That makes zero zzzzenzzzze!" Rotom screamed.

"Shhhh!" Keats muttered to keep Rotom quiet. "There might be more!" He said with a quiet voice as Rotom shut its mouth.

"Right, zzzzt..." Rotom replied. "I'm happy to be online but one moment with Keats and I just want to be shut off again..." The phone Pokémon thought. "The others were taken with you in the same way, yeah?" Rotom asked.

"Yeah." Keats said in response.

"Then they might be going through the zzzzame ordeal in other rooms." Rotom said with a serious face on its screen.

"We gotta get out of here." Keats muttered as he walked over to the door to the room, opening it slightly to look around outside. "Looks like we're clear..." He said as he looked up and down the hallway in the manor and didn't see anyone or anything before stepping out into the hallway with Druddigon, Skuntank and Rotom.

"Look at all the doorzzzz. The other's might be in any one of these rooms." Rotom said as Keats placed his hands over his face and then hunched forward. "Still doing the thinking pose just for planning, huh?" The phone Pokémon mentally commented.

"Alright, got an idea!" Keats said as he quickly jerked upright.

Reaching into his pocket, Keats pulled out the remainder of his Pokéballs, holding all of them in his hands. Pressing the buttons, Keats let out the rest of his team with Pineco, Sizzlipede and Petilil standing in front him and Porygon floating above the others.

"Pineco!" Pineco said.

"Sizzzzzz!" Sizzlipede muttered.

"Petil!" Petilil said.

"Pooooooorr." Porygon mumbled as Sizzlipede proceeded to crawl along the floor and went up Keats' leg, reaching his shoulders and wrapping around his neck like an ascot like usual.

"Sizzlisizzli!" Sizzlipede said with a joyful tone as Keats scratched the back of her head with his index finger.

"I'm warm enough, Sizzlipede." Keats said as he grabbed Sizzlipede and then placed her back on the ground.

"Pineco-coco?" Pineco said as she turned left and right, unsure of the group's surroundings.

"Pineco'zzzz wondering where we are." Rotom translated.

"Drudddddigon-gongon." Druddigon said towards Pineco.

"Pineco?" Pineco replied towards the Dragon type Pokémon.

"Petilil?" Petilil said towards Skuntank.

"Skunt." Skuntank said while nodding.

"Petililil." Petilil said with serious eyes.

"Skunununtank!" Skuntank laughed as Porygon and Sizzlipede raised an eyebrow at Petilil.

"Sizzli?" Sizzlipede said.

"Petililil!" Petililil said towards the Fire and Bug type.

"Sizzlipededede!" Sizzlipede said while making the same kind of eyes as Petilil.

"Pineco-coco." Pineco said towards Druddigon and Skuntank as they nodded in response.

"For once I'm glad you're online. What are they saying?" Keats said towards Rotom.

"Druddigon explained the situation to Pineco with the Ghost type Pokémon and Petilil is asking if there will be fighting. Zzzzkuntank said there will be and that got Petilil fired up. Then she started to get Sizzlipede fired up and Pineco commented that it's nice she's not the only excited for a battle." Rotom translated.

"Well, if you're fired up for fighting, this will fire you up more. We also have to save Anik, Ambrose and Tamara." Keats said towards all of his Pokémon. "And for all we know, they might be in any one of these rooms." He commented as all of his Pokémon looked at the doors in the hall. "Everyone, pick a door." Keats instructed as all of his Pokémon nodded in compliance.

With determined expressions on their faces, Pineco, Skuntank and Sizzlipede stood in front of a trio of doors on the left side of the hall while Porygon, Druddigon and Petilil stood in front of another trio of doors on the right.

"Okay, when I count to three, ram through the doors and start blasting with any long-range attacks you got." Keats said. "One... Two..." He started counting.

"Seems like a good idea-... Wait... "start blasting?"' Rotom thought, agreeing with Keats' plan initially until thinking about Keats' wording. "Whoa, wait Keatzzzz!" The phone Pokémon shouted.

"Three!" Keats said as he covered himself with his arms.

Reaching the end of the count, Pineco, Skuntank and Sizzlipede proceeded to slam their bodies against the doors, forcing them open and then started to attack with Pineco firing off the green soundwaves of "Bug Buzz," Skuntank firing off the torrent of fire of his "Flamethrower" attack and Sizzlipede spitting out burning pellets of "Ember." On the opposite side, Druddigon, Porygon and Petilil did the exact same thing with Druddigon firing off the silver laser beam of "Flash Cannon," Porygon releasing the electrical bolts of "Thunder Shock" and Petilil firing off the green laser beam of her "Absorb" attack into the other rooms. All of the attacks colliding with the insides of the rooms, causing small explosions that resulted in smoke clouds emerging and spreading throughout the hallway.

"Gaugh! Coufh!" Keats coughed as he used his arms to wave away the smoke. "Gafgh... Anything?" He asked towards his Pokémon as he walked forward to get a visual on all of the damage they caused.

Inside the rooms that Pineco, Skuntank and Sizzlipede attacked, Keats saw nothing but broken glasses and a busted bed in Pineco's room and both Skuntank and Sizzlipede's rooms alight with flames. Turning his head, he looked over at Druddigon, Porygon and Petilil's rooms as he saw that the ceiling caved in inside Druddigon's room, scorch marks all over Porygon's room and the bed was overturned in Petilil's.

"Annnnd that was a bust." Keats said with a nonchalant tone as he walked over to the doors and closed them one-by-one.

"What the hell are you doing, zzzzt?!" Rotom screamed in frustration at Keats as the husky framed trainer and his Pokémon all turned to look at the floating phone. "What if your friends were in there?!" It asked.

"I figured everyone here would have been smart enough to know not to hit them... Except maybe Druddigon, I kinda expected him to screw up and maybe hurt somebody." Keats said before looking at Druddigon.

"Druddigon!?" Druddigon said with tears welling up in his eyes before dropping to his knees and then slammed his head in shame through the floor.

"Haven't seen that in a while..." Keats commented as Pineco, Porygon and Skuntank approached the easily depressed Dragon type to comfort him.

"You zzzzet two of the rooms on fire!" Rotom exclaimed.

"So!? We're in a haunted mansion! Haunted mansions don't burn down!" Keats replied.

Before they could continue to argue, a rustling noise could be heard that caught the attention of everyone as they all turned their heads further down the hall. Phasing through the walls was a large grouping of floating Pokémon with bothered looks on their faces. One was a Pokémon with a purple shroud-like body and a witch's hat-like head, another with a darkly colored rounded body with spiky ears and stubby arms and legs with three fingers and toes and red eyes, a group of purple gaseous balls with faces and a duo of Dusclops.

"Maggius!" The shroud-like Pokémon exclaimed in anger.

"Damn, we were off by a few rooms!" Keats said as his team looked at the floating Pokémon with confrontational expressions.

"A Mismagius, a Gengar, a pair of Duzzzzclopzzzz and a group of Gastly!" Rotom exclaimed before turning over to begin scanning the Pokémon for their PokéDex entries. '"Mismagius, the Magical Pokémon, a Ghost type. Its cries sound like incantations to torment its foes. It appears where you least expect it."' The phone Pokémon said as it scanned the wild Mismagius.

"I wouldn't call that "magical," I'd say that's just annoying." Keats commented.

"You're one to talk..." Rotom thought while glancing at Keats before scanning the Gengar. '"Gengar, the Shadow Pokémon, a Ghost and Poison type. Hiding in people's shadows at night, it absorbs their heat. The chill it causes makes the victims shake."' It said before scanning the Gastly. '"Gastly, the Gas Pokémon, a Ghost and Poison type. Its body is made of gas. Despite lacking substance, it can envelop an opponent of any size and cause suffocation."' Rotom continued to scan Pokémon.

"See! That's why the coffee was useful! Gengars are really cold!" Keats said as he pointed at Rotom, attempting to justify throwing coffee on Ghost type Pokémon.

"Will you juzzzzt fight them and shut up about caffeinated beverages?!" Rotom shouted at the husky framed trainer as the two Dusclops landed on the ground and charged up dark energy in their right fists.

'"Duuuusclops!"' The two Dusclops said in unison as fist shaped shadowy projectiles launched from their hands in the direction of the group.

"That'zzzz "Shadow Punch!"' Rotom said, recognizing the move.

"Incoming!" Keats shouted as all of the Pokémon ducked the attack, minus Druddigon who still had his head through the floor. "Druddigon! "Flash Cannon!"' He said as Druddigon pulled his head out and opened his mouth.

"Drrrrruuuudd-igon!" Druddigon said as a laser beam of silver energy fired from his mouth and hit both of the Dusclops, knocking them over.

"Gengargargar!" The wild Gengar muttered as he looked at the group of Gastly.

'"Gastly! Gastly! Gastly!"' The group of Gastly said as they all rushed at Keats and his team.

"Sizzlipede! Use "Ember!" Porygon, "Psybeam!"' Keats shouted as Sizzlipede and Porygon moved forward.

"Sizzzli!" Sizzlipede exclaimed as she fired more pellets of fire from her mouth.

"Poooooor!" Porygon exclaimed as it fired a multicolored laser from the front of its body.

As the Gastly were getting pelted by the fiery pellets and the multicolored laser beam from Sizzlipede and Porygon respectively, the wild Gengar dove downward into the floor and turned into a shadow. Slinking along the ground and walls, it managed to jump out of the ground and appeared behind the group.

"Keatzzzz, behind us!" Rotom shouted as Keats turned around, the Gengar putting its hands together as a beam of black lightning was heading straight for him.

"Look out, "Night Shade," zzzzt!" Rotom said. "It must have used "Shadow Sneak" to get behind us!" The phone Pokemon thought.

"Skuntank! Block it!" Keats shouted as Skuntank jumped in the way of the "Night Shade" attack.

"Skuntank!" Skuntank muttered as he landed on all fours, unaffected by the attack.

"Good thinking! You remembered that Dark typezzzz like Skuntank are immune to Ghost type attacks!" Rotom said, actually praising Keats.

"Ambrose said it nine-thousand times, I'm bound to retain that..." Keats thought with a twitch in his eye. "Skuntank, "Dark Pulse!"' He commanded as Skuntank charged up a black and purple energy around his body and fired a coiled beam at Gengar, sending it crashing through a door. "That should have knocked it out!" Keats exclaimed.

"Magiusmagius!" Mismagius said, growing frustrated by the failings of its allies to defeat Keats' team. "Magius!" The cloak-like Pokémon muttered as it floated forward and started to glow a bright blue.

Materializing, a group of four blue fireballs started floating around Mismagius as they rushed in the direction of Pineco.

"Petilil?!" Petilil said as she noticed the fireballs heading for Pineco. "Lilil!" The Grass type said as she jumped in front of the fireballs, absorbing them into her body while in front of Pineco.

"Pineco!" Pineco said in surprise as Petilil protected her.

"Petilil!" Keats said as he saw what happened.

"Mismagius juzzzzt used "Will-O-Wisp!"' Rotom shouted.

"Petilil!" Petilil exclaimed as she suddenly burst into flames for a brief moment.

"Zzzzhe'zzzz been burned!" Rotom said.

"Damn it!" Keats said in frustration until an idea formed in his head. "Wait, Petilil! Use "Leech Seed!"' He instructed as Petilil glared at Mismagius.

"Petililil!" Petilil shouted as she fired off a seed from the top of her head and it landed on Mismagius, turning into vines and spreading around the cloak-like Pokémon.

"Mag! Mag-magius!" Mismagius said as it tried to use two of its tassel-like arms to try and tear off the vines until getting zapped by the effects of "Leech Seed."

With energy escaping from Mismagius' body, it entered into Petilil and healed her body before she combusted into fire once again.

"Petililil!" Petilil exclaimed in pain.

"Petilil! Use "Absorb!"' Keats instructed as Petilil charged up power and fired a green laser beam attack from her body, taking more energy from Mismagius to heal herself.

"Maaaa-magius!" Mismagius said until more energy was sapped from its body because of the "Leech Seed" vines.

"Time to end this! Pineco, use "Bug Buzz!"' Keats instructed towards his green pinecone-like Pokémon as Pineco jumped into the air.

"Pinecocococococo!" Pineco shouted as she emitted green soundwaves from her body.

Striking the vine covered cloak-like Pokémon, Mismagius shook violently from the impact of the Bug type attack. Losing the drive to continue, Mismagius turned around and proceeded to quickly float away, phasing through one of the walls with the vines from "Leech Seed" falling onto the ground.

"You did it, zzzzt!" Rotom exclaimed as all of the Ghost type Pokémon started to disperse. "That was the most competent I've ever seen him be with battling!" The phone Pokémon thought.

"Petilil!" Petilil screamed as she suddenly burst into flames again.

"Oh crap, she's still burned! Return!" Keats screamed as he pulled out Petilil's ball and recalled her inside it for protection. "Good work..." He thought while looking at her ball with exhaustion.

"Druddigon! Druddigon!" Druddigon muttered as he caught Keats' attention.

"Yeah?" Keats said as the Dragon type Pokémon pointed at the doors in the hall. "Oh! Right!" He said as he rushed past his Pokémon and ran towards the doors. "Guys?!" Keats said as he opened one of the doors.

Laying on a bed in the room was Ambrose, unconscious. Seeing this, Keats rushed forward and proceeded to grab him by the shoulder, lifting him to a seated position.

"Yo!? Wake up!" Keats said as he started to snap his fingers in front of Ambrose's face to try and wake him, Rotom floating over to join him to check on the teenage ghost hunter.

"He might zzzztill be in the trance from the "Dream Eater."' Rotom said.

"Skuntank, get in here and stick your smelly tail under Ambrose's nose! That might wake him up!" Keats said as he looked back towards the doorway as Skuntank approached.

"...You know, if that workzzzz, he's going to be pissed." Rotom said with half-closed eyes. "Then again... I don't really like this kid... Do it." The phone Pokémon continued.

"Well, we're in a haunted house, he's already going to be pissed by how many Ghost type Pokémon are in here." Keats commented. "Actually wait, where's his stuff?" He thought as he turned his head left and right and failed to find his duffel bags.

"Pineco! Pineco!" Pineco said from the doorway as Rotom and Keats turned to look at her.

"Pineco zzzzayzzzz she's found Tamara and Anik!" Rotom said as Druddigon walked into the room, holding Anik's unconscious body in his arms.

"Did you find her stuff?" Keats questioned as Druddigon shook his head left and right to signify a negative response. "Her stuff either?" He thought.

"Okay, two down. One to go, zzzzt!" Rotom muttered as Keats picked up Ambrose and laid him down on top of Skuntank, the large skunk-like Pokémon now carrying the teenage ghost hunter on his back as Keats followed Pineco to another room.

Entering the last room that had its door open with Porygon and Sizzlipede already in it, Tamara was also in a knocked-out state as Keats looked around for her things, failing to find her cane and sunglasses. Turning around, Keats lifted her up into a piggyback position on his back and carried her out of the room as Druddigon held Anik in his arms and Skuntank carried Ambrose on his back.

"Well... This is a fine kettle of Carvanha. I'm the only one not asleep at the wheel for once." Keats thought as he looked at Rotom. "We gotta get to a safe place. Those Ghost Pokémon are one thing but I'm getting the feeling that butler or that little girl who was looking at me might be around, and they might not be completely human..." He said with a concerned voice.

"What, zzzzt?" Rotom questioned.

"When we arrived here, there was this butler who had all the lights on and junk and there was a little girl staring at me from the second floor. I don't know." Keats replied as he started walked with all of his Pokémon following him.

"Where are you taking them to, zzzzt?" Rotom said as it floated next to Keats.

"On the off chance those are real ghosts, also known as "dead people," we do need to go somewhere where they won't dare to go." Keats said with a serious look on his face.

"He's taking this extra seriously... Makes sense, we're in a very dangerous situation." Rotom thought as it looked at Keats.

"We're going to the one place the dead are not allowed. Everybody, follow me to the living room!" Keats said while carrying Tamara as all of his Pokémon followed behind him, Rotom hanging back and just making a dumbfounded expression on its screen.

"That was a pun... So much for being serious..." Rotom thought with exasperation at Keats' buffoonish behavior before following after them.

However, unbeknownst to the husky framed trainer and the phone Pokémon as they walked down the hall, in the opposite direction was the little floating girl holding the Buneary doll that Keats locked eyes with when he first arrived at the Old Chateau. Her simple smiling face as she watched Keats and his Pokémon trek towards the living room slowly contorting into one of excitement as an eerie darkness covered her face, her eyes glowed red and her teeth turned razor sharp.

Oooooohhhhhh-wwwweeeeeee-ooooohhhhhhhhhh... Sorry, that was the best I could do for bone chilling sound effects. One-by-one, our heroes became trapped in nightmares caused by the Ghost type Pokémon residing within the Old Chateau as they used "Dream Eater" on their senseless bodies. However, to the surprise of possibly a lot of people, Keats beat all of his friends to the punch and woke up to fight off the Ghost types. Now he heads to the living room of the Old Chateau to try and find a safe haven for the group and not knowing he is currently being watched by a mysterious entity. Will Keats finally prove he is the hero of this story yet again? I'm somewhat doubtful after that last joke. Stay tuned!

Author's Note: (So, last chapter, I opened the floodgates a little to see what Pokémon people would recommend for Keats, Anik, Tamara and Ambrose, I was curious what was going to pop up in the reviews and to say I was surprised is a bit of an understatement, looking at all the reviews. Why do I say that?... Bit of story time here.

Back when I originally cancelled Wannabe for that one year of time, I thought of going back and redoing/rebooting it. One of the ideas I had to reboot it was to give Keats' a more "themed" team at his disposal to make things easier for me on what to give him. Originally, I fooled around with the idea of giving Keats nothing but NON-EVOLUTION Pokémon, the ones that don't evolve, as a form of symbolism to Keats' character in the earlier parts. The idea I had was to give Keats a Heatmor or a Durant as his new starter in this reboot idea I had, because the first arc was Unova. I wound up not doing that, obviously, when I came to the realization that it would take away some of the tension in the story if Keats just didn't have ANY Pokémon that would evolve. I bring this up because a recurring theme I noticed in the suggestions for Keats specifically was NON-EVOLUTION Pokémon like Eiscue, Torkoal and Cramorant. I had to do a double take when I read those lol.

But regardless... Wow, you guys picked a lot of good choices for EVERYBODY in the four main protag spots. I was actually a little jealous, most of those Pokémon picked made a lot of sense and I didn't think of it first, genuine compliment to the readers. Give yourselves a clap of the hands. These are actually some serious considerations and yes, that's including the non-evolving ones. Those are up for consideration as well lol.)
