They're all new to this world, in one way or another. Quite a few of them hadn't even heard of the Digiworld before this month. Those who did were a bit quiet about what exactly it meant, what to expect while here. Some kind of trauma keeping them unwilling to share, for what purpose, Elektra isn't sure, but it doesn't feel beneficial to the rest of them.
Either way, she's not willing to add drama to whatever else might happen while they're here, so she keeps her mouth shut- for now-, listens while Louise tries to explain digiports and their digivices to the newest members of the NXT Digidestined. Brooks Jensen, Fallon Henley, and Josh Briggs listen on with confused, but interested, looks on their faces. Kiana James stands a few feet away, castng dubious glances towards the Digimon hovering at her feet, far from pleased with any of this.
Louise, however, is in her element, and casts a beaming smile at them all as she claps her hands, wrapping up her explanation. "Well," she says cheerfully. "That's about all I can tell you regarding your journey's beginning. Are you ready for your first mission as a team?"
Elektra wants desperately to say no, but she has the feeling that that's the precisely wrong answer so she bites her tongue, looks around at the other Digidestined surrounding her. She wonders what it might take to get Lola here, so she could at least have one person to trust on these... 'missions'. "Yes," she finally speaks up. "Where exactly are we going?"
Louise walks over to her, a kind look on her face, and points to Elektra's digivice. "The red dot there that's flashing? That's the mission I'm sending you on today. Not a lot is known about what's happening, just that a digimon requested assistance."
"Ok," Elektra says slowly. "Well, let's go." She casts another quick glance around at the others before turning back to the digiport. "Digiport, open!" she calls out, echoed by the others as her digivice thrums with power, a beam of light shooting through the portal, opening it up and sucking her in, her body shifting into data, then transferring back as bone and blood once more.
She blinks, hard, definitely not used to that feeling. "Ugh," she mumbles, looking behind her as the others reform as well, looking about as shaky and displeased.
"That was disgusting," Kiana says bluntly, pushing past her.
Elektra bites back her initial response- which would be pushing Kiana face first into the dirt for the disrespect, because right now, she's got other things on her mind. Such as the burning buildings within sight, a village apparently already having been razed to the ground before they could get here. "Guys?" she asks warningly, but before she can say anything else, there's an explosion and she's knocked to the side, gasping as her ears ring from the force of it, dirt raining down around her.
A massive creature forms out of the smoke, staring right at her, and all she can do is gasp for air, lungs burning, ribs aching, as a bright red V forms on his chest, glowing dangerously, aimed right at her. "THREE VICTORIZE!" the creature bellows out and all Elektra can do is lay there and gape, certain that her death is seconds away.
"ELEKTRA!" a little voice by her shoulder cries, and the next thing she knows, Pitchmon is glowing with a blinding light, growing larger, stronger, into a green creature with a blue helmet on its head and a shell on its back, standing proudly on two feet, and even though he's still no challenge to the creature before them, he manages to grab her by the arms and drag her just out of range of the attack.
"Pitchmon," she gasps, reaching for her partner.
"Kamemon, now!" he introduces himself to her. "No time for that, though, we have to move!"
She sees he's right, the attacking digimon is still on them, looking even angrier now, and it's all Elektra can do to get her feet under her and dash for her life, making sure to keep ahold of Kamemon and drag him with her.
In hindsight, she thinks, if this is the kind of trauma the others can't talk about, she kind of understands.
