The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "Eh, screw it. Let's just blow it up and call it a day."

Jacoba really wasn't exactly sure why she was here. Well, other than the fact that Barney had told her that she had to be. But truthfully, this was well outside of her current job description.

Barney had scheduled a so-called client meeting and, since both Lee and Tool had bowed out for "personal reasons," wanted her to be there. Jacoba had now decided that those two had figured out who the "client" was and had decided to run for the hills. That was the only explanation that she had for them leaving her in a meeting with Church.

The mission was straight forward enough; get in, grab the target, and split before anyone noticed them. Jacoba's only concern lay in the fact that Church did not want them to blow up the compound under any circumstance. A point that she had been contesting for the past ten minutes.

"There is no reason for you all to blow up the compound! All you have to do is to go in and get the target. That is it."

Barney sighed. "Church, I have to agree with the Amazon. From the intel you've provided us with, what they are doing at this compound would be stopped completely if we were able to blow it up. In the long run, it would save more lives than leaving it alone."

"And you don't think that I know that?" Jacoba and Barney both looked at Church with questioning looks (he didn't usually agree with them) and he sighed. "This comes from my boss's bosses. We are not to blow up the compound unless it is absolutely necessary."

Jacoba tilted her head to the side. "And under what circumstances would it be absolutely necessary in their worldview?"

"Only if there were no other way to get out cleanly. And even that would come under scrutiny from on high."

Jacoba began to grin and turned towards Barney with an almost evil glint in her eye that even Church could see. "You know what I say, Barn?"

"What?"

"Screw it. Let's just blow it and call it a day."

"You know, I don't know who's worse. You, Caesar, or Gunnar."

"You forgot Toll. But I'd say Caesar."

Church chuckled as he turned away from the Expendables. "You know what, I didn't hear anything. Maybe try to keep the explosion clean though, alright?"

"Oh, ye of little faith."
