The people of Octrum Beta scream for help as the Chaos force led by the Traitor Space Marines of the World Eaters warband, the Executioners of Vengeance, descend on their world to gather skulls for Khorne's Skull Throne and to take slaves and resources to fuel their never-ending war against the Imperium. Octrum Beta is a rim world that gets so few visits from agents of the Imperium proper that their astropathic pleas for aid won't be heard for years, and by the time anyone comes to answer, it will be far too late. Or at least that is how it would have been. Their cries were heard, and their pleas were answered as the Wrathful Fall ripped out of the Warp, leaving the realm screaming in agony as it roared back into reality, roaring for blood.

The Chaos fleet is made up of over a hundred ships, including the Desolator Class flagship, the Faithless Destroyer. They are all dwarfed by the massive battle fortress of Lord Eversight and his Dreadmarine Legion. Believing they have the numbers to overwhelm the massive ship, they turn and charge it. The Wrathful Fall is as alive as those who inhabit it, its black soul filled with the fire of the Emperor's wrath, roars as it runs out its guns. On the bridge, Lord Eversight laughs as he gives it the psy command that lets the monster off the leash. The Wrathful Fall opens fire with weaponry capable of decimating fleets a hundred times larger than this. Quantum disrupters, antimatter lances, hyperspace torpedoes, and neutrino beams all fire in a barrage that shreds the incoming fleet, down to its atoms in many cases, before any of them get into optimal weapons range. The Faithless Destroyer is ripped in two and is, without a doubt, dead in space. The Fall doesn't want it to exist and hits it dead ok with an antimatter lance strike that wipes it from reality. As the massive ship flies through the debris field, or what there is of one, black energy tendrils whip out from beneath it to snag and reel in pieces of wrecked ships to store within its lowest holds for use as material in the ship's massive creation engine which is capable of breaking down raw material and remaking it into whatever material is needed to produce the desired products such as armor, guns, tanks and anything else they have the plans for.

The Wrathful Fall moves into orbit over Octrum Beta. There, it scans the world and feeds all the data to Lord Eversight on the bridge. Be takes it all in faster than even a Primarch. Beside him, on his right, clad in his new black and gold power armor with the roaring lion of the Dread Legion on his chest and holding his upgraded Guardian Spear, Dalat stands silently. Watching the incredible scene. On his left, Zhi runs her hands over a dozen holo screens while humming with joy as she takes in all the data coming in. This is her first time seeing her creations at work, and the only thing that will make her happier is when she gets data from the Dreadmarines—data she will have soon.

"The enemy's main force is located in the planetary capital, Hydrus," says Lord Eversight, rising from his seat, "Dread One, and I will take care of them. Dalat, you will take Dread Two and mop up the ones attacking Lozepath. Zhi, I will leave the rest of the deployments to you. I don't care about overkill. Drop as many as you deem necessary. They have their orders and know their roles."

"Understood," says Dalat and Zhi together.

"We are over Hydrus," says Zhi, "Activating drop beam now."

"Put is right in the heart of the enemy," orders Eversight as he draws his weapons.

In his left gauntlet is a built-in-focusing array that allows him to manifest his Emperor given powers in a variety of deadly ways depending on what he needs. In his right is a blade of black and red flames called the Warrant. A dark sibling to the Emperor's flaming blade that shares the power to deliver true death to anything it slays. Human, machine, alien, or daemon, when the Warrant cuts them down, there is no afterlife.

Zhi nods as she activates the drop drop beam. A pillar of black light lances down to the surface. It does no damage when it strikes the center of the enemy formation other than giving those caught in its darkness nausea. It is not a weapon, but it does deliver them. A drop beam is a form of instant travel onto a world, into a ship, wherever the pillar of light reaches. Once the beam is set, Zhi picks the armor signals of Lord Eversight and the one thousand Dreadmarines of Dread One before hitting initiate. One second, Eversight is on the bridge, and the next, he is in the center of thousands of Chaos worshippers, along with Dread Supreme Xal and his elite Dread One.

The looks of shock on the faces of the Chaos scum last for about half a second before Eversight raises his left fist and unleashes a spray of black energy bolts that tears into dozens of the tainted humans, shredding them down to their atoms. The Dreadmarines follow suit, unleashing devastation with their Psykana Boltguns. Each shot is infused with the psyker might of the wielder. Each weapon is connected to the neural implants in the brains of the Dreadmarines, giving them a mental link with with weapon. Each black bolt it fires is telekinetic, allowing the one who fires it to control the trajectory and force, making the weapon suitable for nearly any situation. Killing troops, dreadnoughts, or daemons, it doesn't matter. If the shooter decides to rest their powers and go more conventional, the guns can also fire physical bolt rounds more advanced than anything the Mechanicus has ever produced, called Phase-Homing Bolts. Each can sync to the Dreadmarine targeting system, lock onto a target, and track it. They can also phase through any solid object, including another body, to hit it. Each round has a range of a mile and is half the size of a normal heavy bolt so that each clip can hold three hundred of them. Each is blessed with the power of Dread Sight, which distinguishes the innocent from the guilty as soon as they lay eyes on them. Making them the perfect judges and executioners.

The World Eaters in their midst fair no better. Their armor and bloodlust are nothing in the face of dread. They are blown to pieces as easily as their human troops. Within moments, the center of the Chaos force is in ruins, and Dread One begins to expand out, breaking up into companies and then squads to begin to cleanse the city of the enemies of mankind. Eversight delivers the Emperor's wraith to Octrum Beta.
