Chapter 10: Moving Forward
(Honestly, this story has been making me happy. Honestly, never expected to fall for Aura like this.)
{Rui's Point of View}
- Morning -
When I woke up next morning, I found myself with Aura sleeping soundly on my chest. She snuggled into me, sighing contently. I rubbed her back, kissing her forehead as her hair draped all over my arm. My perfect mate, sleeping soundly on my chest. She stirred a bit, nuzzling into me as if to fight off waking up. I don't blame her; she must love this. When she finally woke up, she yawned and blinked at me. She groaned, "Mm... Morning babe." I kissed her head, "Good morning my love." She hugged me tightly, "Hmmm... Is there any way I can convince you to travel with me? I'll do anything~" I snickered, "I'm sorry Aura, but I can't. I have my job and Venge will need more from me... Oh shit..." Aura picked her head up, "What's wrong?" I groaned into my arm, "Fuck... I was supposed to go back immediately after saving you." She giggled, "Oh yeah... you saved me alright." She whispered in my ear, "Saved me the trouble of flying back to our home." I shuddered, "Our home? Don't you have a nice house? I distinctly remember it being very nice." Aura shrugged, "It's nice... but my home is wherever you are living..." She kissed me, "My perfect bond mate." She laid on my chest, "Sorry for talking so much without giving you a chance to reply, but I'm just so happy. I know you'll think lower of me, but you've helped me quell so much heat I've had to endure for years." I blushed a bit, "Well... I helped you quell that a tiny bit each year since you told me how much you loved me..." Aura grinned, looking me dead in the eyes before whispering, "Don't get me wrong, I loved your mouth but it's nothing in comparison to-"
We heard a loud knock. I looked at her, panic rising, "Uh... you expecting anyone?" She shook her head no. She whispered, "Get ready. If it's another assassin, we'll take them together." She held my hand, "We will live and die together." I blushed bright red, "Damn you... I love you way too much." She winked at me, getting dressed as quickly as she could. Once I got my gear on, I watched her open the door... only to see the Hotel Manager. I instantly stayed hidden and started taking my armor off. I didn't want them to see it. When I finished, she and the manager walked over to me, and he did not look happy. He said, "I need to speak to both of you." He sat us down on the edge of our bed and said, "Aura, you've been a wonderful guest. Always have been and as a singer you've always been so quiet. Last night, we've received over a hundred complaints because someone used hyper voice while moaning." I got pretty embarrassed and nervous, so I excused myself to get a drink of water. My throat was also a bit dry anyways. As I drank some water, I hear Aura say, "I'm so sorry. It won't happen again. I've never had my lover cum inside me while at a hotel before." I spat out the water in shock, "PFFT! *cough* *cough* Ugh... Aura! Why would you say that!?" Aura held her nose in the air, "I love you. I am not ashamed." The manager looked slightly annoyed but ultimately sighed, "Alright. Just please, in the future, don't do it again. We're big fans and other guests do need to sleep. Is this acceptable?" Aura smiled and nodded, "Of course. It'll never happen again. She shot a glance at me, "Isn't that right, Rui?" I nodded, beet red from her earlier comment. The manager sighed and got up. He walked by me, patting my shoulder, "Females." I nodded, "Yep."
I looked at her, "Still beautiful as hell." She smirked, winking at me. With the manager gone I went over to her and kissed her, "You need to stop being so bad." She smiled at me, hope in her eyes as she suddenly said, "Rui... can I please live with you?" I told her, "In my heart, that'd make me the happiest person alive. I love you. I love waking up with you. I love being with you." I then sighed, "But we both have things we need to do." I then went to my bag and pulled out a small box, "I want you to live with me... and we will. When you finish your concerts, you can live with me. I'll never say no to you. You're the one I love. The person I want to be with." I handed her the small box. Somehow, she can still be stunned by our romance. The blush making her face red but the happiness beaming in her eyes made my life perfect. She opened the box and found a beautiful blue bow. She started shaking as she picked up the bow and began sobbing. She tackled me in a hug telling me she loved me. that she always wanted all this and now that she finally has it all she's so happy and wants to quit singing. She wanted to be with me. I rubbed her back and tried to calm her down, telling her the same and kissing her until the tears stopped. After talking for an hour, she declared the next three concerts are her last and she is going home to me where she belongs. I said yes to that, knowing full well this is a bad idea... but I want my mate to live with me regardless. We belong together.
Bows or ribbons are given by a mate to signify them wanting the union to be forever. These bows and ribbons are weaved with Destiny Knots, used to symbolize eternal love. The receiver, if accepting, would then wear the bow or ribbon every day openly. They'd only take it off when bathing, to clean the ribbon if dirty or when going to sleep. If they take the bow off in public or the giver rips it off their partner, they are no longer mates and there is no turning back. When I went out to see if I could spot the Inteleon, I ended up passing a shop that sells bows and ribbons. I debated whether or not I should buy one but after thinking about it, I realized it was what I wanted. I bought it without regret and now finally giving it to her was a dream come true. She tied it to her hair, making a lock behind her ear to openly display she is now mated for life. As she smiled at me, her beauty seemed to magnify. The person I'm going to live and die with... she is undoubtably the most wonderful Gardevoir on this planet.
As I got ready to leave Aura suddenly asked, "Could I join?" I flinched, "Join? Join what?" She said, "It's obvious what. Venge." I shook my head, "No babe. Venge is a human and hyb-" She cut me off, kissing me gently, "I am a hybrid. Not a human hybrid... but..." She looked away, doubt clouding her eyes. I knew what she wanted me to say. I said, "No, you're right. You're more than qualified to be one of us..." She looked into my eyes, smiling and giving me a kiss, "You know what I love about you? You seem to know what I'm thinking, and we never linked our minds. I prefer it this way." She nuzzled into my cheek, "We don't need to know everything about each other. Admittedly... I'm... terrified to see and experience what that bitch did to you." I thought about it and said, "Good call. You'd only be making yourself feel miserable." Aura stared at me for a moment before asking, "I think I know the answer... I'll still ask regardless. When we were younger; was it only because of me being a Gardevoir that stopped you from wanting to be my mate or were you nervous I'd reject you?" I thought about it for a second and said, "It's the fact you are a Gardevoir... but if I wasn't I'd probably be too shy to ask. You are too pretty." I pinched her cheeks. She gently smacked my hands, pouting, "Don't be mean!" I laughed, "Alright... I'll suggest it to the leader. They'll probably say no." Aura smirked, "They'd be stupid to. I can be a very helpful asset. Who else would be able to extract info from someone's mind?" She got me there. Her head then perked up, "Oh! I almost forgot! I can't cancel my later concerts. I still have that one for Dialga coming up in a month... or maybe a month and a half. I'll have to ask my manager." I pulled her into a hug, embracing her. I took in her scent and rubbed her back, "You don't have to try and appease Dialga for me anymore. You're already making me happy. I love you so much." She kept her face in my chest, hugging me back. She turned her head, listening to my heartbeat, "I know I don't... but if it means erasing everything they did... I'll do it. Even if it means sneaking you out with me and running off together into the wilderness. All I ever wanted was to be your mate... When we talked that day... I... I mentioned the Gardevian mate thing hoping you'd... you know... say you liked me..." I gently pushed her away so I could softly pick up her chin and kiss her lovingly, "I wish I did. If I knew that, I would have. I loved you back then. Nowhere near as strong but I did. If I didn't I wouldn't..." I leaned in on her ear and whispered, "Have handled your heat after you told me how you felt." She turned bright red, huffing angrily, "Don't get me thinking about that right now! You have to leave... and I'll miss you and that too much." I winked at her, "Not my fault you needed some special attention." She glanced at the bed and when I saw the desire, I smirked, "Will you try to visit me more?" She nodded, "Yes. You fucking know I will. In fact, I'll see you next week and you better be ready for the hugs and kisses I'll pelt you with."
We bickered at each other for a couple more minutes. I wasted far too much time, but I wanted to keep talking to her. Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, and I left for home.
- Two Days Later -
I ended up not meeting Cayden or Zraak since both ended up busy. Instead, I just went to my day job and found some peace. I felt extremely lonely though. I knew going in how it'd feel without the one I love there with me daily. Other thoughts like cheating started creeping into my mind due to Silvia. Speaking of Silvia, she hasn't messaged me in weeks now. This is very unusual, but the peace of mind helped me relax. When I got home, I found my brother there waiting for me. I walked to my door and unlocked it, "I love how everyone just likes showing up at my home. It isn't even that nice and still gets more attention than a Lopunny." He chuckled, "Yeah, well, you always seem to attract problems." I opened the door and allowed him inside, "You want a beer?" Cray shook his head, "No thanks." I replied, "Good, 'cause I ain't fucking got none." He laughed, "Funny, maybe if the software engineering doesn't work out you can be a comedian." I waved him off, "Fuck off." Cray sighed, "Rui. I know about Aura." I looked at him, "Yeah?" Cray looked conflicted, "I know she's the one for you. In fact, I wanted you two together." I raised a brow, "You did?" Cray rolled his eyes, "You and her spent days together. You think no one knows you two kissed as teens?" I blushed, "That never happened!" Cray snickered, "Oh really? You two went behind a tree after losing a dare and you come out blushing bright red. I'm pretty sure we all knew what happened." I stammered, "Uh...I-...I-..." He looked unimpressed, "You know you could have been her mate when you were younger. Before all this happened." I looked away a bit guilty, "I was scared..." Cray nodded, "I know..." He got up and pat my back, "I also didn't do much to help. I knew and I just hoped you'd be honest with your feelings. Now you gave her a bow." I blushed hard, "She told you?" Cray nodded, "Hell yeah she did. She was fucking ecstatic!" I looked away sheepishly, "Of course she did..." Cray hugged me, "I'm not mad you found love, as your older brother I'm really happy for you but... the problem is Silvia. Her mom says she's been gone for a few days, even her daughter hasn't seen her at all. Something isn't right." I nodded, "Yeah, it's not like her to just disappear without reason."
Cray sat at my table again, "That's one of my concerns but there's something else. I need help with something. It's also been a long time since we've gone on an adventure together." I felt embarrassed, "I was five and they were not adventures! We were going on a walk..." Cray laughed, "It was an adventure for you! You'd even hop around happily." I groaned, dragging a hand over my face, "Arceus, damn it... Can we just focus on the job. What do you need?" Cray told me, "I'm going to submit for you to be given a week off for Gardevian business. We're going to a spot near East Meta City. We should find some of our kind waiting for us." This sounded pretty suspicious, but I wanted to spend the time with my brother. I know for a fact he doesn't need my help.
- Outskirts of New Meta City -
Cray and I are currently in a cab heading out of New Meta City. I snuck my gear with me, not wanting to be caught off-guard without some outside form of protection. Something that struck me as odd is my brother's expression. As we got closer, I noticed the uneasy growing. He's worried about something. He's someone capable enough to be honored with Black Steel. What would he be scared of? The Inteleon flashed in the back of my mind, and I realized they are not invincible. Everyone has a weakness and there is always one major flaw with Pokémon. Their arrogance. Their idea of superiority makes them susceptible to deceit, luck and short-sightedness. That Lucario Hybrid would have killed me if he wasn't so arrogant as to think I could not pull the carpet from under him. If I had fought a Pokémon starting with bullet punch or extreme speed, I'd probably die within three seconds. I'm only human, without luck I am nothing... I thought about Aura and her affection for me. I felt a deep pit of sadness and asked Cray, "Am I stupid for liking Aura?" Cray wasn't listening, but replied, "I'm sorry, what?" I repeated, "Am I stupid for liking Aura?" Cray rubbed my back, "Rui, we're all stupid. You and Aura have been attracted to each other far longer than this past few months to a year. You're lucky I'm not pressing either of you on what she's done with my little brother." I blushed angrily, "I'm 29!" Cray teased me, "You were like thirteen or fourteen when you got your first kiss?" I gave him a serious look, "I was barely an adult when I was first raped and lost my virginity to my rapist." Cray flinched, backing off and looking out the window. In the reflection he looked depressed. He finally muttered, "I'm sorry..." I shook my head, "Apologies mean nothing. My life was forfeit before I was even conceived. Only now I wish I had given my only precious thing to Aura. It really does sound pathetic when said out loud..." Cray sighed, "Rui, don't let what those fucked up halfwits say bother you. If you get hung up on their words, then you're letting them win." I said, "Brother, I'm not like you. You were able to protect yourself. I had nothing. I was so scared. I was barely an adult. I was burned, beaten, lied to and then raped just for fun. That's all, it was for fun to them. I just wanted to have sex with someone I loved. I wanted that person to have my first time. Is that so wrong?" Cray shook his head, "No. It's not. You do need to understand though Rui. Pokémon are an Alpha species. Consensual relationships do not have priority in their society. It always Respect, Power or both. In all honesty Rui, Silvia would have fucking murdered Aura if she was your mate first. Not because she liked you, but because her mother felt that you were important." I looked down, "I probably am infertile. Arceus must have really hated me and wanted me to suffer more than necessary..." Cray shoved me gently, "Don't think like that. Aura is going to be pregnant before you know it. You think I don't know how much se-" I cut him off, "Please, for the love of Arceus, don't say what I think you're going to say." Cray groaned, "Females will always want more. I'll leave it at that. She literally gave you her body and soul." I said honestly, "She's literally the most wonderful person on this planet. I love her more than anything. There's nothing I wouldn't do if she needed me to." Cray asked, "Even sacrifice yourself to Silvia to save her life?" I gasped, imagining that outcome. Cray continued, "You might have to witness that too. Silvia will challenge Aura. It'll be a battle of dominance. A battle of Respect and Power. If she wins, you will be owned by her again. If you refuse, she'd kill Aura." I teared up, "No. I won't let her kill Aura! If that ever happens, I'll kill Silvia myself!" Cray looked at me as if I'm crazy, "You? This'll be a public battle in the Gardevian Estate. The Armored Ones will be there to watch and make sure no one interferes! How the hell would you stop or kill her?" I felt depressed and hung my head, "I... I don't know..." Cray pat my back, "Your only real choice would be to give yourself up if she loses. That way Aura will live." I nodded, "Yeah... I guess so." I looked at him, "I guess it was stupid to think I could ever be free huh?" Cray was about to speak but shut himself up as he looked around conflicted.
I decided to change the subject, "So... why are we out here?" Cray answered, "Something linking to Angel has been discovered here. Margrev told me you heard of her." I nodded, "Yeah, what about her?" Cray said, "She's been actively killing some Pokémon. Specifically human slavers. The governing powers politely asked us to look for her. Margrev refused to release her identity. Instead, she sent me on a wild goose hunt." I asked, "How long has this been going on for?" He said, "Apparently for 11 years. Took them a while to even know Angel is supposedly Gardevian. At first they believed we were taking the slaves for ourselves but once they inspected our grounds and discovered nothing, they threw that theory out the window." I felt conflicted, "Why should we help them when Angel killed Human Slavers?" Cray glanced at me and thought to himself before sighing, "Rui, life is complicated. I know how you feel. Even I get pushed down at times. Still, things can change for the better and even if not, wouldn't it be better to be on the side that won?" I looked at Cray Angrily, "Side that won!? They don't need to do this shit anymore. Our kind has suffered enough. It's time for everyone to move on. I'm amazed they haven't gotten bored with this torture shit yet." Cray groaned, "Rui... come on man. You're not counted as a human anymore. What does it matter?" I said, "Not counted!?" I was flabbergasted by this, "I still fucking count! Everywhere I go they look at me with a glint. A look of temptation like I have something on my forehead telling them to harm me! I'm human. With the way the world works, I barely belong anywhere. Especially as a nameless." Cray stayed silent again. When he spoke, he said, "So you think Aura is a bad person because of what she is?" I clenched a fist, "Do not bring her into this. She's the most human person I've ever met." Cray shrugged, "I guess you're right. After all, she got you to break the blessing when Margrev wanted to train you." I flinched, "It was broken during all that?" Cray nodded, "Amazing you never noticed. Why do you think you were able to even use your power. Hell, why do you think she was even able to teleport you to begin with. You quite literally knew the blessing word for word. Yet you didn't think about how strange that was? You were so focused on trying to hide your time with Aura, it clouded your ability to think rationally." I got mad, "What does that have to do with anything!?" Cray yelled back, "You still don't fucking get it!? You're my brother, you should know what I'm hinting at. Me and Margrev know what you've been doing."
(And that's the end of this chapter! Just to clarify, yes. This is why Rui was able to teleport during his time with Margrev. That's also why they knew he was breaking the blessing. Please favorite, Follow and/or Review to support the story!)
