03: High school life is _
"Get up, Hikigaya." Hiratsuka ordered while in the process of lighting up her cigarette. "If you have time to make a Jojo reference, then you have time to answer a few of my questions."
Hikigaya dusted himself off and got back on his feet. "I thought nobody in here would get it." As expected, he had severely underestimated the influence of Ararki Hirohiko-sensei and his masterpiece. "Ah, but now I think sensei is probably old enough to have read the original manga when it first came out."

"Hikigaya, how old do you think I am?"
Hiratsuka-sensei asked that question while taking on the form of a fire breathing dragon. How she managed to keep the smile on her face was beyond him. It was probably some trick you learnt as an adult.
"Um," he scratched the back of his neck and looked to the girls for some help. But from the looks of it they had all sided with sensei on this issue. Either it was a female thing where they had to join forces and gang up on him or they didn't want to invite more trouble and were doing the smart thing my staying very, very quiet.
"Well?" Hiratsuka-sensei pressed.
It looked like she was not gonna let this matter drop anytime soon.
Think Hachiman, think.
Your very life depends on it.
Go it!
"I think sensei is as evergreen as Jojo's Bizarre Adventures."
Aizawa Tomo made a face. "What the hell's a jojo?" She whispered and asked the other girl for clarification. "Is it like a yo-yo?"
Komi Shoko shook her head. Even then she couldn't believe she had to type this out on her phone. [It's an anime.]
Aizawa kinda nodded. But still, "I don't get it."
Komi Shoko didn't get it either.
But in the grand scheme of things the two of them didn't matter. The one who really mattered was their teacher, Hiratsuka-sensei and she looked mighty pleased with herself. In fact, she was almost blushing just a tiny bit.
"Good answer." She took the cigarette out of her mouth and pointed at him real hard. "But don't go around thinking that, that line will work on any other woman, you idiot."
Hikigaya knew what she meant. His homeroom teacher was crazy. "I know, you're special."
"Aaaah-!" Aizawa Tomo let out a sharp cry which got her weird looks, but she didn't seem to care. She was getting embarrassed and very, very uncomfortable. To protect her own sweet innocence, she had covered her face with both her hands, but for some unknown reason she couldn't stop herself from watching what was unfolding before her very own eyes, so she was peeking from between her own fingers and looking at the sinful teacher-student duo. "Hikigaya, stop flirting with sensei! You're creeping me out!"
Komi Shoko nodded along whole heartedly. She kept her eyes firmly shut and she had her palms placed on top of her ears covering both of them for good measure. And as always her mouth was sealed shut. In other words, she had adopted the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi: See no evil. Hear no evil. Speak no evil.
But the two of them shared almost the exact same thought –
'High school life is kinda perverted!'
'High school life is sinful.'
Author's Note: Okay, so the chapter is kinda small…and I don't have parts of the next one written yet…which is kinda problematic to my new approach of writing fics. But hopefully there's no need to panic.
