Chapter 7: Scales of Night.

"Hello, dear readers! I hope you're buckled in because this chapter will be a wild ride. Sorry for any tardiness, I just moved into a new house and so far I've been liking it. Hope you enjoy the chapter!"

After their international classes, the Hogwarts students returned to the common room to discuss their new courses. "So let me get this straight," Dean said, trying to keep his excitement at bay. "Instead of training Aurors as we thought, Beacon is a school that trains literal superheroes. And they know a trick that creates an energy armor using their souls and can develop a semblance, which is technically a random superpower."

"It also turned a scrawny kid into," Seamus said, waving over to Jacob, who gave him a predatory glare over his book on advanced aura skills.

Dean stepped in to keep his friend from sticking his foot in his mouth even further. "I think my Irish friend here is saying Jay, it gave you a body that most bodybuilders take months to get."

"What are you reading over there?" Hermione inquired, looking over the book he had in his hands as Jay looked over at her, taking his gaze off his roommate.

"According to Headmaster Ozpin, I have a natural talent in aura density control," Jacob said, clenching his knuckle as it shined blue.

"So, built-in brass knuckles are your semblance?" Hermione asked Jacob, pinching her nose in frustration.

"No, a semblance is like how Sirius can alter reality and probability, which he uses to prank people. But at this moment, it would use up aura if he thinks of anything more complex than someone tripping over themselves."

"Use up aura?" Neville questioned.

"Yeah, apparently their little body shield doubles as a power source for their abilities, and let me tell you, after Sirius broke his, he was passed out for hours," Jacob explained. He also remembered Ozpin's theory: that aura-enhanced Magicians have a stronger connection to their souls. This might be the reason why Sirius fainted, and theorizing repeated breaks could accelerate the recovery process.

"So there's a trade-off," Hermione said as she thought momentarily. "Let's say I have my aura unlocked, and I get into a fight, I can either keep my body shield up to protect myself or potentially burn it off with a powerful semblance that might end the fight, right?"

Jacob nodded at her explanation as Hermione wondered out loud what the other's semblance was, which Jacob eagerly listed.

"Yang gets stronger from the more damage she takes, Ruby can transform herself into petals to move quickly, Blake can create afterimages of herself, Weiss has these glyphs that have various effects, Jaune can increase aura quality and semblance power, Nora can get stronger when she's electrocuted, and Ren I believe can do something with emotions."

" How do you know that? Because I don't remember them bringing it up," Hermione said.

"I learned it from Oscar," Jacob said to Hermione, who asked more questions, getting the Weasley twins' attention.

"So you see, Hermione, being twins in the magical world has some quirks," Fred said as his twin continued.

"Like bonds let you know how each other is feeling or learn what they learned."

Hermione looked over at the twins, processing what they said. "So you're saying if you take different classes, you will learn what the other is learning," she asked the Weasley twins, who smiled in response as Parvati came over.

" I would get over it if I were you, Granger. The bonds that the Weasleys are talking about are much rarer than you think. I'm surprised Jacob's bond is as strong as it is."

A moment later, Jacob closed his book with a sharp clap. "Well, it's time to get some shut-eye because I have a lot of work tomorrow." Jacob walked back to his dorms eager to continue getting to know Oscar.

Meanwhile, in a Hogsmeade apartment, Avery was sitting by the fireplace looking over a few electronic scrolls as the heat from the fireplace caused some clay-like patches to appear on his skin, causing Avery to scratch at them, causing them to peel. A large duffel bag was ruffling about.

"I'm coming, I'm coming,"

Slowly, a black jellyfish-like creature with a giant crystal ball head and long red tentacles floated out of the bag.

"Dr. Watts, how's your infiltration going?" Salem echoed through the Seer.

"This world is much more backwater than I thought, or a portion of it, anyway," Arthur said, pulling the mud Mask off and waxing himself.

"Funny, I strictly remember you're the one who volunteered," Salem said, not caring about Arthur's pain as he waxed his mustache off before explaining himself.

" It was the logical choice, as Hazel and the bug would have exposed themselves as soon as they saw Ozpin, and the young Black doesn't know any subtlety."

Mercury protested as he overheard the conversation, only to be ignored. "Do you have eyes on The Relic?"

"It's most likely wherever their camp is. When I try to follow them, I lose track of them and end up meeting a few of the natives," Arthur said, shivering at the thought of those car-sized arachnids.

"Can you reach Ozma's former host?" Salem asked.

" No, Ozpin or one of his students is always watching him. And it seems Avery was on the opposite side of this world's revolution," Arthur explains.

"What's the situation with this tournament?" Salem asked, as Arthur, sensing her frustration, responded with positive news.

"The first task is that the champions have to steal a dragon's egg,"

Mercury, who overheard the conversation, asked, "Hold on, are you talking about real-life dragons, like the big-winded reptiles that breathe fire?"

Only to get the group's attention as they looked at him with a shut-your-mouth look, causing him to quiet down, "The very same, which gives me an idea," Arthur said.

" Perhaps if I agitate them, it will cause a distraction that might give me a chance to get close to Mr. Pine."

Salem hums at Arthur's idea. "Leave the distraction to me, just be sure to be close to Mr. Pine," she said as Arthur nodded.

"And Watts, be more gentle with that mud mask, as you only have a limited supply," Salem said as the seeker cut its transmission.

Arthur slumped back in his seat, looking over at the former occupant with a burning hole in his chest, then turned back to the Seeker. "What are you standing around there for? Give me a hand with this," he asked as they moved the body into the chair. Arthur reached back into the bag to pull out a jar of cream, reapplying his face as it was before, and making his way back to prepare what the rest of his team was about to do.

The following day, Jacob was going down to Beacon's camp, dodging Seamus and Dean, who wouldn't stop questioning him. "It's not like I even know how to unlock aura. Even if I did, those two wouldn't be the first I would try to give it to. And knowing Seamus, he'll probably get a semblance that would set himself on fire." he thought.

Ever since the reveal of what Beacon was capable of, the school has been divided. One group said it wasn't fair for one school to have an advantage, only for those complaints to be silent when they learned the other champions now have access to Aura. Another group included those who grew up in the muggle world and seemed excited about a school full of "superheroes," even trying to work up the courage to get a taste of aura. The other group, which includes Hermione and Daphne, was trying to squeeze every last piece of information about aura before they even tried it out. The last group consisted mainly of blood supremacists who disliked the idea of non-magical people possessing powers that seemed more significant than magic.

'But the latter's opinion didn't matter much,' Jacob thought as he finally made his way into the camp only to hear a commotion on the sparring grounds and see Ruby and Oscar, the latter blasting a freezing spell at some targets that completely froze.

"Well done, Oscar," Ruby called, jumping on Oscar's back. "I knew my motivation would work," she whispered, causing Oscar to give her a flustered grin.

Jacob looks at the couple licking off a sticky sweet sensation from his teeth, before going deeper into the camp and bumping into Headmaster Ozpin. " Aha, I was wondering when you would stop by Mr. Potter," Ozpin said, causing Jacob to straighten up as he greeted back.

"Headmaster, is there something I can help you with?" Jacob asked as he was waved over by the Headmaster who let him inside a cabin.

"Interest in some cocoa or tea?" Ozpin offered, which Jacob refused as Ozpin continued. " Tell me, Mr. Potter, what is the defense against the dark arts class like?"

"Well, there has been this curse on the position that causes the instructor to quit after a year. And out of the four that I had, only the last one was any good. We had an imposter for the first half of the semester," Jacob answered as Ozpin gave an internet hum.

"What's your opinion on your current teacher?" Ozpin asked.

" Well, I don't personally know him too well, but from what I heard, he was one of the top warriors of his time and has plenty of experience," Jacob answered.

"Your professor came to me inviting my students to his class. I'm not sure if this is too much for you. Do you mind assisting my students?" Ozpin asked, only for Jacob to reply eagerly.

"Of course, sir, but why do you need me? Aren't your students at least of age?" Jacob asked as Ozpin nodded to his question.

"That is true, but I'm sure you realize how mean teenagers can get, add to that having a group of people who have super strength and who can be easily provoked."

"So you want me to play peacekeeper between your school and the class?" Jacob asked as Ozpin nodded.

"And I thought you would like to get a chance to spend more time with Oscar," Ozpin said, causing Jacob to look up at him. "And he wants to spend time with you as well," he added, causing Jacob to agree hastily.

" Excellent, do you mind assisting me in collecting the others? As I believe their new class will be starting soon," Ozpin said as Jacob nodded.

Later the crew made their way toward their new class. "Any idea what we're even doing here? I don't think we can do any of your magic," Weiss said.

"Professor Ozpin said that the teacher wanted to show us what this world is capable of," Ruby said, tripping on the stairway as it moved. Luckily, Oscar caught her before she fell.

"What the hell?!" Yang said before she noticed the stairs were moving.

"This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen," Weiss said. Before the group made their way to the classroom entrance, they were stopped by Jacob.

"Hold it, Crouch was known to do surprise attacks," he said, sticking his head inside the room, noticing nothing was out of place before whipping his wand out at a blur.

"Impressive, guess that imposter scumbag taught you something after all," a disillusioned Moody said.

"All clear!" Jacob called to the rest of the remnants, who also noticed the defense professor.

"Wow, how are you doing that, Teach?" Yang asked as Mad-Eye decloaks himself before explaining.

"That Ms. Xiao Long was known as a Disillusionment charm, while not as strong or fancy as a cloak, it's still a handy tool to have when you're hunting criminals that don't pay attention to their surroundings."

The Remnants listened to his explanation as Oscar noted the spell to learn later. "I suggest the rest of you get to your seats. The rest of the class will be showing up soon," Moody said as the remnants of their seats right as the rest of the class entered.

"What are they doing here?" Ron said when he noticed the new guests.

"With the recent discovery of one of the tournament's traditions, I invited the Beacon classes to join us today," Moody said, and the rest of the class quickly took their seats.

" Now I'm aware that for the last few years, the previous professors were subpar at best, with Professor Lupin having the most students pass their exams in the last 7 years." The students who liked Remus smiled at this achievement.

"Now, I don't know what the other teachers have been teaching you, but I know none of you are prepared when encountering a dangerous wizard. Now I'm going to be reviewing the unforgivable curses," Moody said, getting the Hogwarts residence to give him a nervous look.

"I understand some of you are uncomfortable with those spells. And no one is stopping you from stepping out," Moody commented as none of the students left.

" Now the Imperius is a spell that puts anyone or anything under the user's will, the Cruciatus causes extreme pain, and the killing curse does not need to explain what that one does. The usage of any of these spells on a human being is enough for a cell in Azkaban," Moody explained, as Blake and Ruby raised their hands.

"Professor, you said that using those spells on humans is illegal," Blake said, getting a nod from Moody.

" I thought you would catch on to that, Ms. Belladonna. Technically, you could get away with using those spells on something like a dangerous beast, and most law enforcement will only get you for reckless spell casting. But to use those spells, one must have the will and the desire to dominate, kill, and cause pain to those on the receiving end of those spells," Moody explained before looking over at Ruby, who slowly lowered her hand.

"I suppose it's not possible to use those spells for benevolent purposes," she whispered.

"Ha, like any wizard would use those dark spells," Ron said, getting looks from the other Remnants and the professor.

"Is that so, Mr. Weasley? Then can you tell us what a 'dark' spell is?" Weiss asked.

"It's the spells that cause harm," Ron answered, as everyone should know.

"So, by your definition, all spells are dark," Yang said.

"What? That's not what I said," Ron replied.

"You said spells that can cause harm, well I can think of a few spells that can make a flash of green light look merciful," Blake said.

Moody nodded with interest. "Ms. Belladonna is correct; there are some spells they've used the right way that could lead to an injury or fatality. Take the sticky charm, for example; if you combine it with the levitating charm, it can produce some messy results. There's also the severing charm, which could very easily cut an artery. Compared to those spells, I can see why a flash of green light, which, to an outside perspective, causes all of his victims to simply drop, would seem merciful," Moody said.

"Then how did Jay survive?" Ruby asked, catching the class's attention as Mad-Eye suggested.

"Many have studied that spell, and it seems once it leaves the wand, nothing can stop it until it hits something solid. It's more likely Mary MacDonald damaged Mr. V's wand during the attack on Godric's Hollow, causing it to implode, which reminds me of today's lesson. Who here can tell me the first thing about wand safety?" Moody's tone throughout the class discouraged the further pursuit of the subject.

Later, as the Defense Against The Dark Arts class was dismissed, "Potter, wait!" Ron called, getting his friend's attention. "What was that?"

Jacob looks back at his classmate in confusion. "What was what?" he asked.

"They were questioning your title, and you were quiet the whole time," Ron said, getting a dumbfounded look from Jacob.

"I don't see why it would matter; it wouldn't change anything, right?" Jacob said. Before Ron could answer, they got a cough from behind and turned to see the Remnants standing by the doorway.

"Do you mind?" Weiss asked before they noticed they were standing at the door as Jacob stepped back, letting them through. "Honestly, outside of Jacob and a handful of others, it doesn't seem like this world even knows any manners, not to mention intelligence," she mumbled the last part.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" Ron asked as Weiss exhaled.

" I can list several, like believing a mir infant could do something that hundreds of people failed," Weiss said, only to continue before Ron could start an argument.

"Tell me something, who said it was Jacob here who was the one who stopped Voldemort," Weiss said, causing Ron to flinch at the name.

"Do you mind not saying that bloody name? I already have enough of it from Potter over here, who should know what the name brings," Ron growled.

"Why?" Yang asked as Jaune answered.

"It's most likely that Voldemort put a spell on his name that if anyone says it, they will be tracked down, which is a dumb move. What's stopping someone from saying the name in a warehouse surrounded by Aurors?" As Jaune said that, a sudden slap echoed. Turned to see their professor hit himself in the forehead.

"Are you alright, professor?" Blake asked. Moody responded by flashing a thumbs-up.

" Now where were we, where's the proof that Mr. Mold on his Mole even laid a hand on either of them?" Yang asked which got Ron to stutter in response. "That's what I thought, excuse us, we had a farm boy to train, Jacob, will you be joining us?"

Jacob looks up at her in surprise. Just 12 hours ago, she was ready to rip his head off. Before following them, "Potter! If you continue socializing with those people, your title will disappear!" Ron called.

"You do realize that if Voldemort had arrived at a different time, Jay's parents might have been the ones to end up dying. Would anyone want to be remembered for that?" Ruby said, only to get a glare from Ron in response.

Ron angrily retorted, "Nobody asked for your opinion, Mud-blood," Suddenly, Ron felt himself being shoved into a wall by Oscar who had a furious look in his eyes.

"I don't know what your problem is, but if you have a problem with me, don't take it out on my friends, got it?" Oscar snarled as Ron gave him a frightful look. He turned to see the rest of his classmates staring, but he didn't notice his housemates giving him a disgusted look.

" I told you Jay, this savage is nothing more than Ligger Beget, hoping to leech off your fame and take it for himself," Ron said as he turned to face Jacob who placed a hand on Oscar's shoulder causing him to let go of Ron. Before Ron could react, Jacob's powerful fist collided with his jaw with an intense force, resulting in a sickening crunch that echoed through the room as the bones shattered under the impact of the blow.

"Don't talk to my brother like that again," Jacob growled. His eyes flashed like a cat's as his now-ex-friend lay on the floor, spitting out teeth.

"What did he call my sister?" Yang asked as one of Jacob's classmates, a blonde-haired and round-faced boy called Neville Longbottom walked up to her.

"Hey, I'm Neville Longbottom, Jacob's classmate," Neville introduced. "What Weasley said was our slang term for something nasty,"

"And what did they mean?" Yang asks as her teammates give her side looks. Some of the wizards try to talk Neville out of something. However, Neville whispers something to Yang that causes her eyes to widen blood red. She then lunges at a downed redhead with a feral roar, but Oscar shoots his hand forward, and orange cables shoot out of his arm and wrap around Yang, stopping her just an inch away from her target.

"He's not worth it," Oscar said, surprising the whole Hogwarts residence. Someone who started learning magic barely a month ago and can do a wandless spell.

"Oscar?! Let me go!" Yang shouted, trying to get out of his ropes, only for Oscar to throw her over his shoulder.

"Sorry, Yang, you do something you regret if I do that," Oscar said, carrying his flustered friend away, which didn't stop Ruby and the others from glaring at Weasley.

"You better sleep with one eye open, you hear me, Grimm bait!" Ruby said as she and the others walked away to ensure Yang didn't do anything funny with Oscar.

Jacob quickly followed, leaving his classmates to discuss his brother's recent achievements. When he turned back for a brief moment to look at Ron, "You brought this on yourself."

A few weeks later, on the morning of the first task.

Lily made her way down the Hogwarts corridors, soon catching sight of her husband. "James!" she called.

James turned to see her, wrapping her in his arms. "You're here early," James said.

"Well, I came here to support our sons," Lily said as James gave her a nervous look. "What?"

"I don't think that's a wise idea, Lily Flower," James said nervously. "With how nervous he is about the tournament and his companions being so protective, and not to mention his friends are as strong as a troll,"

Before Lily could ask what James meant, they heard a commotion and looked out the window to see team JNR engaged in training. Lily quickly spotted her son Jacob among the three, standing tall in the middle. Ren pulled out his machine gun and fired stunt shots at Jacob, who swiftly transformed into his animagus form, deftly evading the bullets as he dashed toward Jaune. He pounced on Jaune, seized his shield, and successfully wrestled it away, using it to shield himself from Ren's gunfire.

Jacob then hurled the shield back at Ren, incapacitating him. As Nora charged in with a war cry, swinging her war hammer at Jacob, he deftly disarmed her, throwing the hammer aside. She held a yellow crystal shard before crushing it. She electrocuted herself, channeling pink energy before trying to tackle Jacob. Still, he used his strength and solid footing to avoid her attack and stop her in her tracks. Finally, Jacob executed a Judo throw, pinning Nora to the ground and emerging victorious.

"What in the hell happened to Jacob?" Lily asked, amazed as James explained the remnant's signature aura and its abilities, including the recently discovered side effect.

"So, you're saying Jacob's new look is because he got turned into a Faunus, which is a humanoid with one animal trait," Lily said, sounding tense, before noticing her son was heading back inside the castle, quickly moving to intercept him.

Jacob walked through the door, his dark hair clinging to his forehead with sweat as he used the hem of his shirt to dab at his glistening skin. Unintentionally, he drew the attention of a few of his female classmates who couldn't help but admire his towering 6'3" frame and the 200 lbs of rippling muscles that adorned his physique as he strode past them. Jacob continued, oblivious to their admiring gazes and the hushed chatter about him.

When he noticed his mother, "Hey, mum," he said nervously as he was pulled aside by Lily, who frantically looked over at him.

"Mum! I'm fine," Jacob said, only to be silenced by his mother as she waved her wand around, checking his vitals and noticing that despite his higher body temperature, he seemed to be in better health than when she last saw him. ' It appeared whatever this aura had done to you has improved your eyesight, as well as tripling your muscle density and quality,' Lily mumbled to herself, poking his muscular arms, then quickly running a hand through his hair, which had some qualities of a feline in it.

"That's enough, Lily Flower; you're embarrassing the poor cub," James said, only to get silenced by a glare from his wife before she noticed Jaune, Nora, and Ren, who were watching the scene with looks of embarrassment, curiosity, and wide-eyed interest.

"So, you're the mother," Nora said as she looked at Lily curiously. Lily stared back at her in anticipation as Jacob introduced them.

"Mum, this is team JNR, JNPR?" Jacob said this before looking over at the team for clarification.

"JNPR," Jaune said, but mumbled to himself. ' Though he heard a few people calling them ORNJ.'

Having heard how the Beacons team is registered, James noticed the swap of a p for an o and quickly realized. "I take it you are Oscar's teammates?" he asked.

"You can say that," Ren replied, his eyes never leaving Lily before noticing a few glowing petals swirl around her. Ren realized it was her emotions, sensing worry about Jacob and mild irritation at James before shifting his interest in them.

"You know, my son! Please, you have to tell me everything," Lily said frantically, only for Jacob to get in front of her.

"Mother, calm down, or you might undo all the work I've done, so these guys won't knock our heads off the first chance they get," Jacob said as Lily noticed Nora was reaching for something.

"You know, for so-called good parents and having 'evidence' that says you haven't done anything harmful to Oscar, but outside of Jacob and his godfather, none of you have been knocking on our doors demanding to see him," Nora said as Ren placed a hand on her shoulder, sensing his friend's deep resentment toward mother figures, as well as the swirling emotions from Lily that didn't indicate someone who would hurt their child.

"I believe we're done here," Ren said, pulling Nora back to camp. Jaune followed a moment later, flashing an apologetic smile back at them.

After Team JNR vanished into the forest, Lily fell to her knees. James put a comforting hand on her shoulder, while Jacob felt a twinge of anger towards Nora. However, he also felt disappointed in his family for their understandable concern about visiting Oscar.

Beacon's campsite.

Oscar sat in his cabin, admiring the gift his aunt had given him. She had been about to provide him with applications to a combat school nearby, but he had left for Haven before she could. Like any other child his age, Oscar dreamed of becoming a Huntsman. But things kept coming up at home and delaying his training, making him less eager to pursue this path.

Oscar turned to see Ruby by the door after tightening his belt. "Do you need something, Ruby?" he asked, feeling a sense of déjà vu. Ruby walked up to Oscar with a specific question, but as soon as she caught sight of his toned and muscular arms, her attention was diverted. After the incident in defense against the dark arts where Oscar carried her sister away before she could start a fight, Yang immediately put Oscar through a training camp to test his strength, Ruby couldn't help but notice the impressive gains Oscar had made, wondering out loud if he had gained two more abs. This comment caught Oscar off guard, getting him flustered tomato red.

"Well, it's nice that you like what you see, but I don't think I'm anywhere near Jacob's level," Oscar said, flustered, as Ruby huffed.

"He doesn't count. He only got his muscles from being some stupid shifter mumble jumble," Ruby said as she made her way over to Oscar. "All this was through hard work."

Ruby commented as she poked Oscar's firm chest, only to shake her hand in pain. Startled, Oscar looked at her in concern, only for both of them to laugh at each other in amusement. After they calmed down, they looked at the gift Emily had given Oscar, {his Volume Six outfit with Beacon's symbol on the back of his jacket and his friend's pendants hooked around his harness.}

"Wow, this must have cost a lot," remarked Ruby, causing Oscar to realize that his aunt might have spent an entire year's harvest on this, and he felt guilty. Ruby placed a comforting hand on his back. "This just shows how much Emily cares," she added, which made Oscar smile a little. He bent down to pick up his collared shirt, and Ruby noticed that the scars on his back were fading. She was about to comment when they heard a commercial playing outside.

After they made their way outside, they noticed Team JNR arguing. "What's going on out here?" Ruby called as the team looked at each other, trying to decide who should explain.

"Well, you see, we were training with Jacob as he was about to head back inside his school, we ran into his birth parents, and Nora might have made a few comments to his mother," Jaune explained.

Oscar was frustrated and pinched the front of his nose. He then turned to Nora and said in a cold tone, "Valkyrie, I understand that your mother abandoned you to the Beowolves, but that doesn't give you the right to criticize someone who thought their child was dead. When they found out that their child was alive and with a group that took down one of the strongest people they knew, it's understandable that they are hesitant to contact you."

Oscar chastised Nora, causing her and the others in the room to shrink. Ruby tried to comfort him by placing a hand on his shoulder, but he shook it off and left the room, nearly running into Ozpin.

"Oh, Oscar, I was just looking for you. The first task is ready," Ozpin said as Oscar followed him to where the challenge was.

#

Oscar realized he was the first to arrive when he entered the tent designated for the champions. Feeling nervous, he sat on one of the beds and quickly closed his eyes. To calm himself down, he used one of the techniques that Ren had taught him.

Oscar's nerves settled until he sensed a presence before him. He opened his eyes to see Cedric, his fellow champion.

"Is there something you need, Cedric?" Oscar asked, noticing Cedric's curious expression.

"How long does it take to get a semblance?" Cedric asked, with a slightly puzzled look on his face. For a moment, Oscar's clothes seemed darker to him.

"Well, it took Jaune a year to find him," Oscar replied. Cedric nodded, not sensing any lies from him.

Just then, the other champions entered the tent, including Jacob, who quickly spotted Oscar and approached him.

"Hey," Jacob greeted Oscar, who greeted him back nervously.

"Look, I'm sorry about what Nora said; she had her reasoning, and it wasn't right for her to take her frustration out on Mo, Mrs. Potter," Oscar said. Jacob was about to say something when a fierce dragon roar outside interrupted Dumbledore's introductions.

Suddenly, they heard a sharp whisper from one of the tent's flaps, which got the brothers' attention as Jacob realized his classmate Daphne Greengrass was behind the flap.

"Are you all right?" she asked as Jacob and Oscar looked back at each other.

"We're okay, and all things considered, I think Oscar will handle this challenge better than me," said Jacob. Oscar looked at Jacob with interest. "You know what I mean, haven't you stolen eggs before?"

"The issue is that our chickens don't breathe fire or have a taste for human flesh," Oscar joked, which earned him a swat on the head from Jacob.

"Play nice," Jacob said, happy to see Oscar becoming more comfortable around him, before hearing a cough in front of them, looking up to see Daphne with her arms crossed and giving them a cold glare.

"Do you have any ideas to complete the task?" Daphne asked Potter privately, causing Oscar to step back from the duo.

"My, my, is that worry I hear in your voice, princess?" Jacob teased, causing Daphne to attempt to shove him, but he only stumbled back an inch.

"Shut up, I'm only worried because my sister likes you," Daphne said, looking up to see Jacob grinning cockily at her. Despite herself, she found it cute.

Suddenly, the couple was surprised when they saw Skeeter, accompanied by one of her cameramen, taking their photo. "Ah, young love," Skeeter commented while brainstorming ways to rephrase the content for a larger audience.

Unfortunately, the cameraman accidentally dropped the camera, causing it to fall and break on the floor.

"Oh, I hope that wasn't expensive. I suggest laying off the greasy food," Oscar said, before stealthily putting his wand back into his holster. Skeeter looked back at the cameraman, then at the camera, and finally at Oscar with a glare that promised retribution.

Before anything could be said, the judges and Minister Fudge entered the tent. With Skeeter distracted, Daphne slipped away unnoticed. "Welcome, champions! This is your first task," the Minister beckoned the champions forward, with their respective Headmasters following closely behind.

"Behind me are five dragons, one for each of you," Fudge announced. "Your objective is to collect the golden egg which contains a clue to the next task. Avery, please pass the bag," he requested. Watts handed him the bag, and Fudge distributed it to each Champion. They then picked out the dragon they would be facing."

Krum was the first to pick from the bag, and his luck held up as he drew the Chinese Fireball with a three around its neck. Delacour was up next, drawing the Welsh Green, which meant she would face the dragon second. Cedric drew the Short Snout, and despite his hopes for an easier challenge, he would be the first to face the dragons.

Jacob eagerly reached into the bag, hoping to spare Oscar from facing the most dangerous dragon. His luck ran out as he picked the Ridgeback, meaning he would go last. Oscar's heart sank as he realized what the last dragon was. He hesitantly reached into the bag, only to pull out the Horntail, which meant he would go second to last.

On the other hand, Champion saw which dragon one of the youngest picked out and couldn't help but sigh in pity. Ozpin looked over at the dragon and then at the bag with suspicion. Before he could say anything, a cannon shot off in the distance, signaling that the task was about to start.

Ozpin looked back, and his young charge placed a hand on his shoulder in encouragement. "Oscar, everything will be alright. Remember your strategies and trust your instincts," Ozpin advised as he made his way out with the other judges.

Oscar sat back down on the bed, and his anxiety returned like a storm. Suddenly, he noticed a refreshing scent of fresh roses and red rose petals. Oscar sat down on the bed again, and in no time, his anxiety returned. But then something unexpected happened. He suddenly noticed a refreshing scent of fresh roses and red rose petals surrounding him. As he breathed in the calming aroma, he began to feel relaxed. Ruby, his closest companion, wrapped her arms around his shoulders to comfort him. Oscar turned to see Ruby sitting next to him and couldn't help but feel grateful for her presence.

"Ruby? Not that I'm not happy to see you, but what brings you here?" Oscar asked, curious as to why she had come.

"Ren can sense your emotions from the other side of the arena, so I came to check on you since I am the fastest," Ruby replied nonchalantly, slipping her hand into his. Oscar laid his head on Ruby's shoulder and relished her comforting presence.

Jacob, who was watching the couple, was disgusted by how sweet they were to each other, and he gagged, which resulted in him earning a pillow in the face from Oscar, which exploded on impact. "Shut up over there. You're just jealous that your friend won't give you any attention," Oscar said, irritated by Jacob's behavior.

Jacob was taken aback and coughed up feathers after a sudden attack. He looked at Oscar and asked, "Which friend?"

"Greengrass is the one with the long blonde hair. She's the only girl who seems to make your eyes light up when she's around,' Oscar said with a smug smile. Ruby couldn't help but cover her mouth to hide her laughter."

When Jacob was confronted, he denied everything and started wheezing. Suddenly, he lunged at Oscar, roaring, "COME HERE, YOU!" However, Oscar managed to move out of the way just in time. As a result, Jacob collided with the bed, causing it to topple over with a loud crash. Jacob tried to lunge again, but Ruby stepped between them to prevent further confrontation.

"Boys, save your energy for the dragons," Ruby advised, noticing Krum was leaving to face his dragon.

Jacob suggested that it was time for Ruby to rejoin her friends. Ruby agreed and turned to Oscar. She wished him good luck, and though she wanted to hug him, she felt too nervous. Oscar hugged her instead and thanked her for being there for him. He buried his head on Ruby's shoulder, and she smiled, patting his head gently before leaving.

After Ruby left, Oscar hesitantly looked back at Jacob, who had his hand hovering over a pillow. Before Oscar could react, the feather bomb collided with him, causing him to cough up feathers.

Dragon arena

Lily settled into her seat above the Beacon students in the stands. She observed that the students were carefree and enjoying themselves, which was fitting for their age. However, her focus was soon captured by Dumbledore, who was introducing a Swedish Short Snout that was being brought out into the arena for the tournament.

Lily was concerned about her son's safety during a tournament where he might face a dangerous Horntail dragon. Although she was not very religious, she still prayed for their well-being. While sitting, a middle-aged woman with tanned skin, modern clothing, and a shotgun on her back approached Lily. To her surprise, Lily recognized her as her oldest son's aunt and a Remnant.

"Hey, you're Lily, the mother, right?" Emily asked, glancing at her. Lily felt nervous until Emily pulled out a case of gum that was made on her farm and offered her a piece, saying, "Relax, if I wanted to poison you, I wouldn't do it with food and with so many witnesses."

Lily relaxed a bit, but she still looked at Emily suspiciously. "Are you here to criticize me too?" she asked.

"I heard about your fight with Miss Valkyrie, whose mother betrayed her in the worst possible way," Emily explained. Lily looked down and saw a girl with orange hair holding some notes for bets for the Weasley twins a few rows below her. She felt pity for her. Suddenly, she noticed a man in traditional Asian clothing talking to a girl in a red hood. The girl transformed into a flurry of flower petals and rushed through the stands before disappearing under the stadium.

"Where is she going?" Lily wonders. Emily smiles, sensing that Ruby is going to comfort Oscar.

"Oscar had an anxiety attack, and his girlfriend, Miss Rose, went to check on him," Emily explained.

"Girlfriend?!" Lily exclaimed, surprised, and missed Cedric collecting his egg.

"Yes, when the children learned about Oscar's past and former family, they became very attached to him. Miss Rose, in particular, has been inseparable from him," Emily said. She chuckled as she noticed Ruby finally approach Oscar, sensing Jacob's encounter with his nephew's sassy side.

"What are you laughing at?" Lily asked.

"Just Jacob experiencing the mischievous side of his brother. Speaking of siblings, tell me, for the 13 years that Oscar has been missing, how come you never contacted your sister?" Emily asked, to which Lily hesitantly replied.

"I haven't talked to Tuney in fourteen years, ever since she suggested aborting the project and finding myself a normal husband."

Emily was lost in thought when she noticed Krum entering the ring. He immediately used a spell to deal with his dragon, causing it to fall and crush half of its eggs. This caused the Remnants to whine in sympathy as the mother dragon cried out in pain. In the end, the Remnants were disappointed with the actions of the Bulgarian seeker.

After James informed Lily about the dragons, she had a sudden realization. Only two dragons remain, and one of them is considered extremely dangerous. To her dismay, her sons were the only remaining champions, which made her curse the gods in her mind.

Meanwhile, in the dragon pits, the handlers were busy preparing the next dragon for the upcoming competition.

"Get that Horntail loaded, Weasley!" the head handler ordered.

"Sure thing, Drago," Charlie responded as he picked up a crossbow and a few tranquilizer arrows. He then proceeded to descend towards the location of the cages. Charlie took a moment to examine the Ridgeback dragon and soothed the young dragon by saying, "It's okay, Norberta. Don't worry, everything will be alright."

As Charlie left Norberta, another Dragon handler entered the enclosures and curiously stared at one of the beasts with his yellow eyes. "According to the good doctor, Your species is one of the most aggressive", said Tyrion as he pulled out a large syringe filled with black liquid from his jacket and wrapped it with his tail. He quickly inserted the needle into the dragon's eye, causing it to let out a quiet squeal. "Shhh, Don't worry you will serve a greater purpose for our goddess," Tyrion said as he watched the black liquid slowly enter the dragon's body with fascination.

Ozpin observed the task in progress and concluded that his world's magic could easily defeat this world in a battle of strength, or as the younger generation calls it, a beam battle. However, the magic of this world can hold its own if used creatively. Ozpin has yet to witness the spells being used creatively. But he remembers Fleur Delacour putting her dragon to sleep with a spell. Unfortunately, when the dragon snored, it let out a small burst of flame from its nostrils, burning only Fleur's skirt.

Cedric Diggory, on the other hand, chose a direct method by transforming some rocks to distract his dragon. With the dragon distracted, Cedric used his newfound Aura-enhanced speed to grab the egg as the dragon noticed him. As Diggory exited the arena, he had only a few singed hairs.

On the other hand, Krum went for the direct approach, blasting the Dragon with a spell that knocked it backward onto her eggs. This caused many, including his students, to be upset with Krum.

Despite Krum's regretful look, Ozpin still gave him a low grade. So far, the tournament had not caused any injuries, which made the school nurse, Madam Poppy Pomfrey, happy. She was the first adult to sign up for an aura infusion, hoping to reduce the Quidditch players' time in her office.

"Why in the bloody hell did you score my Champion so low? He completed his task the fastest," Karkaroff hissed.

" True, but in doing so ended the lives of several chicks. From what the champions have displayed so far, it appears that Madame Delacour managed to retrieve the golden egg with minimal injuries. Oh, and for your champion's sake, I hope dragons don't have a long memory," Ozpin took note of the twitch on the face of Karkaroff. He realized that this world had stricter prejudices against those of a different species. The politicians in his world would most likely send all the Faunus to the dragon continent, where there was a high level of Grimm activity. He also suspected that his ex's base was located there.

"I wouldn't be worried about my champion if I were you. If anything, you should be a lot more worried about yours," Karkaroff snarled. As the Horntail was brought in, it reminded the audience why it was considered the fiercest of its kind. It shook one of its chains, throwing a dragon handler across the arena. "If your champion exits the arena unharmed, I'll give him a perfect score.

"I'll take that bet," Ozpin said, reaching for his scroll discreetly, signaling his staff and students to prepare. None of the other judges noticed this, except for James and Avery. The latter smiled, thinking that no matter what Ozpin was planning, it wouldn't help. By the time this was over, his little student would be in Salem's hands.

Oscar stood in front of the gate to the arena, his heart pounding in his chest. He was about to step into the spotlight and face his toughest challenge yet. He took a deep breath and tried to calm his nerves, but the adrenaline was already pumping through his veins.

Minister Fudge stepped up to the podium and introduced the next contestant from Beacon Academy. However, his words were drowned out by a blaring siren that echoed throughout the stadium. Suddenly, Nora's voice boomed through the air.

"Make way for the one and only Oscar Pine!" she shouted through her scroll, which she had configured into an improvised megaphone. "He may have a sweet cinnamon exterior, but don't be fooled - he's a force to be reckoned with. Hailing from Mistral, he's no stranger to danger. He's taken on some of the most ferocious creatures in the world and comes out victorious. For Oscar, fighting monsters is just a part of his daily routine - breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between!"

As she spoke, the crowd erupted into cheers and applause, and Oscar felt a stir of emotions as he knew he had a tough fight ahead of him, but with his friends by his side, he was ready to face it. With a deep breath and a determined look, he stepped through the gate and into the arena, prepared to show the world what he was made of.

As soon as Oscar stepped into the arena, he briefly looked up and noticed his friends cheering for him. Just a few rows above them was his aunt smiling down at him, but his attention was on the person next to his aunt, whom he recognized as his mother.

As Oscar was lost in his thoughts, a sudden jolt shook him back to reality. A spiked tail had slammed against a rock above his head, and he realized he was in an arena with a 30-ft long dragon. The dragon spewed a torrent of fire at the ground and then at him, luckily, Oscar jumped between several rocks and shielded himself.

After taking several deep breaths to calm his nerves, Oscar peeked over the edge and saw the dragon. He could sense the dragon's stress from her body language. Realizing that the horntail had already given him two warnings through her previous attacks, Oscar understood that the dragon was telling him to go away.

Oscar kept his distance, circling the outskirts to locate his target. Soon enough, he found his target, but unfortunately, it was guarded by an enraged mother. Oscar considered using the Seize and Pull charm to retrieve the golden egg. But it was nestled between several other eggs, and if he tried to summon it, he would knock the other eggs over.

As he was trying to devise an alternative plan, Oscar was spotted by the mother, who then shot another stream of flames towards him. This made Oscar react quickly by taking cover behind a nearby rock, but the intense heat of the fire could still be felt through his gloves.

"Come on, Oscar, you can do it!" Ruby called, as her friends shouted encouragement to the farmhand. Suddenly, Oscar had a charge of energy and came up with an idea.

"Hey!" Oscar called out, which earned him another blast of flames. He countered with a strong freezing charm that extinguished the fire and blasted the dragon with cold wind. "Easy, mama, I'm not here to hurt you or any of your babies. I'm just here for something that's in your nest, which these people have placed. Allow me to take it, and I'll be out of your way," he said in a calm and firm tone as if he were talking to a cattle.

The Horntail shook off the frost around her head and looked through her nest, soon spotting the fake egg. She grabbed it and tossed it over to Oscar, who caught it.

Oscar looked over the egg, taking in the aquatic markings on it. Before quickly looking up at the dragon, who gave him a snarling look, which gave him the message to leave the arena. Before doing so, the audience boomed in cheer as he exited and was escorted to the nurse's tent.

Poppy Pomfrey went over to Oscar to attend to his injuries, only to stop in surprise as she noticed he didn't appear to have any. "Are you hurt?" she asked.

"Physically no, emotionally on the other hand," Oscar said as Pomfrey brought him to one of the beds.

" Remind me to ask your Headmaster about Aura, I swear, once I get that, I'll unlock it for every single quidditch player, so I can make sure they spend less time in my office," Pomfrey said.

"On the other hand, those players might get a semblance that would make that game even more dangerous," Oscar said as the Healer looked back at him in competition with what he said before nodding and mumbling to herself. 'Or perhaps I just find someone with a healing semblance or hopefully, I get one myself.'

Suddenly, the medical tent flap opened as Oscar sensed what was coming, gently placing his egg on the bed and bracing himself for the Nora missile.

"Oscar! You did it!" Nora said, launching herself at the farmhand who caught her and gracefully mentally thanking Yang for her strength training. "You sure showed that Horntail who's boss, Dragon Whisperer," The pink bomber said happily.

"Nora," Ren said as he pointed out to the other hospital patients to whom Nora gave an apologetic smile.

"Oscar, I believe the judges are giving out their points," Weiss called as Oscar stepped up to see the judges' results.

James, Ozpin, Percy, and Maxime gave him a 10. Avery had a look of surprise before he realized what he was there for held his wand like a pen and drew a cursive 10. Karkaroff, on the other hand, looked like he ate a sweaty shoe, and as he looked over at the other Judges and saw Ozpin grinning at him, Karkaroff showed his results, which were also a 10.

Dumbledore glared down at the arena and spotted Potter thinking the challenge didn't go as he expected before reluctantly waving his wand to show zero before a sudden motion controlled him and turned it into a 10, Dumbledore looked back to his arm and noticed the emerald energy around it as he looked over at Ozpin who waved a finger at him like he was a naughty child. Before he could say anything, the results were locked in, leaving Oscar's score as 70 points, which granted him the lead, with Delacour in second Diggory not far behind, and Krum following in the rear for the moment.

Oscar looked up at the scores in surprise as his friends set him up on their shoulders, tossing him in the air before catching him, as they made their way back to the other champions.

"Not bad, Pine," Cedric said as Oscar nervously scratched behind his head.

"It wasn't anything too impressive; it was just a mother protecting her babies. I had a similar incident with a heifer," Oscar said.

Cedric nodded at Oscar's explanation as he sensed Ruby made her way over to Oscar's egg. "I wouldn't open that if I were you, Rose. When I got here to open it, it just produced this wretched scream," Cedric said.

Ruby looked up to see everyone in the room staring at her. She held the egg as one of her hands was on top, about to twist a little star, before placing it back down.

"How did you know I was going to open it?" Ruby asked before Cedric could explain. The hairs on the back of his neck, enhanced by the Aura, stood up, causing him to look outside.

Meanwhile, Jacob had just gotten off the lift when he felt a chill down his spine, but he ignored it, thinking it was just nerves. He stared out at the gate, knowing the dragon he was about to face was the same one he smuggled out of Hogwarts 3 years ago, Norberta.

"Jacob?" Charlie called before recognizing the boy. "Bloody hell, what have they been feeding you in school?"

"You can say I can keep myself in good shape, how are you?" Jacob asked as Charlie replied.

"Doing good, I'm sure Ron told you about the task,"

"One problem with that is that I haven't talked to Weasley in the last few months because he's been making comments about my friends and insulting Oscar," Jacob said. Before Charlie looked at him, surprised. But before he could say anything, they heard the minister announce Jacob.

"Well, good luck out there," Charlie said as Jacob transformed into Mlinzi, entering the arena and keeping himself near the rocks and shadows. He quickly spotted his egg over a ledge.

Shifting back, he spotted his Dragon, which seemed to be curled up on the side of the Arena. Jacob carefully took out his wand and tried to summon his egg toward him, causing it to roll over to him.

Suddenly, Norbert seemed to wake up as he looked around the arena before gagging rapidly and vomiting a black tar-like substance, spraying it around the arena, including the eggs, causing them to dissolve. Unfortunately, for Jacob, that included his egg.

"Damn it," Jacob hissed as the other dragon trainers entered the arena.

"Norberta! What's the matter, girl," Charlie said, only to quickly bodge a tar blast. Unfortunately, the tar-like substance splashed on one of his colleagues, eating right through his boot and ripping his leg apart.

Drago quickly stunned his men to stop them from struggling. "Weasley, Viridis!" Drago called the most dreaded signal a dragon keeper would have to hear.

"But sir!" Charlie called in shock.

"Do it! Or I'll find someone who will," Drago said. Charlie reluctantly agreed, knowing that out of all the dragon reserves, the Romanian one was the most respected. His supervisor was right that if Norberta is this sick, it is best to put her at ease and study her to find out what happened.

" Forgive me, Norberta, Avada Kedavra," Charlie cast as a teal fireball struck the Dragon in the head causing it to crumble backward.

The Remnants made their way outside when they witnessed the spell striking the Dragon. They looked around the arena and noticed the puddles of familiar dark liquid and Ren sensing the audience's anxiety.

"Bloody hell, I believe Norbert lost 3/4 of his body weight," one of the dragon handlers said.

Jacob went over to where his egg was, which was only a puddle with a similar odor he smelled when remnants first came here. This time, it smelled like burnt rubber that had been soaking in rotten eggs and septic water, reaching his nose and causing him to gag and step away.

"What's with you?" Charlie asked.

"This stuff reeks," Jacob answered before Charlie could ask what it smelled like, his brother shouted at him.

"Charlie! What the hell are you doing?! That was dark magic!" Ron shouted, making the audience's anxiety even worse, causing the tar pits to boil rapidly and getting the dragon trainer's attention.

Then one of the pits seemed to shrink as a muscular arm shot out of it, followed by a creature resembling an ape with black fur and a skull mask surrounding its bright red eyes. "Drago! What in the hell is that thing?!" One of the Dragon handlers shouted as he and the rest of his colleagues raised their wands at the creature.

Ozpin quickly recognized the creature as a Grimm, ordered his Huntsman to engage, and told Fudge to get his people out. "Now hold on there, Ozpin. I'm sure my people can handle whatever this creature is," Fudge said.

"All Hunters, Stand Down," Ozpin ordered.

"What?!" Yang shouted as Ren told her the reason behind it.

"We have no description here. At this moment, local law enforcement is in charge."

Yang angrily kicked an empty seat in frustration, Oscar stared and worried as he saw Jacob standing with the dragon handlers, equally in shock, as they stared at the Beringel.

"Stay back, Beast," Drago said, pointing a wand at the Beringel, which just snarled and advanced on the dragon handlers as they fired stunning spells, which only seemed as effective as a slap to the face.

"Enough of this," Drago hissed, shooting his killing curse at the Grimm. It seemed to make it stumble to its knees. Then, the green energy charged around the Beringel, making it stand up on its hind legs. Bone plates appeared on its chest, and muscles around its arms seemed to bulge and become thicker.

The rest of the Wizarding audience stared at the creature in shock as it took one of the deadliest spells they knew, and if anything, it looked like it only grew stronger.

Drago was the first to shake off his shock as he was about to fire another spell at the Beringel. Still, it grabbed him by the head and squeezed until it heard a crunch and threw Drago's corpse at his coworkers, knocking them down. Its attention was drawn to the wand that Drago dropped as the Beringel stared at it curiously before placing it in his mouth and crunching on it. Another surge of green lightning swirled around it, causing it to shrink in discomfort as jade protrusions popped out of its spine and knuckles, as well as emerald horns around its head.

The ape briefly observed the rest of the Dragon handlers eyeing their wands like they were tasty treats, briefly licking their lips before advancing to collect their snacks.

Seeing the creature coming towards them, another handler shot a blasting curse at it, hoping it would take it down. Only for the Jadeback to quickly drop to the ground, avoiding the spell as it hit another tar pit.

"Is it just me, or did that Grimm just learn how to duck?" Jaune asked.

" Jaune, I'm not going to criticize you for pointing out something that we all saw, but yes that newborn grimm who should have walked right into those spells, avoided them," Weiss said before noticing their champion was not with them, turning to see Oscar heading towards the arena.

Realizing what he was about to do, Ruby called to her teammates, "Ren, calm these people down, Jaune, go help him, and the rest of you, follow me," She ordered and quickly made her way down to the stands.

Jacob stood in the middle of the arena in shock as the animal in front of him was a creature that resembled one in his nightmares. Another creature climbed out of the tar pits; this one resembled a porcupine but its head resembled more of a tick, as well as having black fur and hundreds of yellowish spines.

The new Grimm seemed to lower itself and flex its quills, three of which were positioned forward before the Grimm seemed to stretch its shoulders and launch its spine at the dragon handlers. Most of the quills hit their marks as they started to smoke, and the last thing the handlers knew, they smelled a garlic-like odor before the quills exploded in a white flash, sending the surviving handlers flying around.

"What the bloody hell! was that!" Charlie shouted as he observed the surviving handlers crawling away from the arena, some were missing a few body parts.

"Phosphorus, white phosphorus is a non-magical explosive, but no natural animal can have that," Jacob whispered.

"Then what the hell are these things?" Charlie said.

Jacob looked back at the creatures and murmured the only word he could think of, "Grimm." Anytime the remnants brought up that word, Jacob usually ignored it, coming from his Division lessons, as his professor kept mentioning he would face one.

"Charlie, who's in charge? We need to get everyone out here so we can get someone who knows what they're doing," Jacob said before noticing the Jadeback looking back at the new creature and then to the pits as its arms started to spark with emerald energy, which shot at the tar pits as more creatures ranging from wolves, bears, and boars surfaced from the tar pools.

Seeing this, Charlie didn't hesitate to take command. "Fall back! Get any injured out of here and fall back!"

Seeing its prey retreating, the Jadeback snarled and did something the Remnants never thought was possible for a Grimm. "Attack! Consume the sticks. Attack!" Jadeback spoke in a primitive tone.

The Grimm howled as they rushed at the dragon trainers, attacking anyone in their way. Charlie and Jacob saw a quill at their feet glowing, and Jacob pushed Charlie out of the way as the quill exploded, luckily not injuring them severely. Charlie realized his wand was in A Boarbatusk's mouth before it crunched on it like a piece of rock candy. As its red markings turned into an emerald green and grew saw blade-like spines, Charlie tried to do something, but before he could, a Beowolf grabbed him.

Jacob watched as the Grimm slammed Charlie into another tar pit face-first. Just as another Beowulf advanced towards Jacob, Oscar jumped on the wolf's back. Oscar used his wand to slam into the wolf's neck, causing it to drop. The Boarbatusk prepared to spin-dash at Oscar, but he levitated it and banished it into the other Beowulf, slicing the wolf in half. Then, he froze the Boarbatusk before it hit a wall, causing it to shatter.

Jacob felt shock and awe as Oscar instantly dispatched three monsters. A slight fear grew inside him as he realized his brother had just killed three creatures without blinking. A moment later, the Grimm that Oscar had killed crumbled into dust, confirming to Jacob that these creatures were not natural. As he was about to say something, he noticed something that caused him to shout, "Oscar! Look out for the Phosppine!"

Oscar turned to see three quills heading his way, only for them to get shot down by Ruby, who jumped into the arena, followed by her sister Nora, and Weiss. Weiss quickly froze and smashed the Phosphine before getting to work on cutting the Grimm down.

"Get up, I'm getting you out of here," Oscar ordered. Jacob didn't have time to argue; they grabbed onto Charlie and made their way to the closest gate, passing Charlie to one of the other surviving dragon trainers. Jacob turned to look at Oscar, only to realize that Oscar had closed the gate.

"Oscar? What are you doing?" Jacob asked as Oscar looked back to see more Grimms coming out of the pits.

"Someone has to stop the Grimm from escaping this place. If they get out, no city will be safe," Oscar said.

" Then let me help," Jacob said as Oscar placed his hand over the lock, thinking he was about to let Jacob out, only to witness Oscar casting a fire spell, melting the lock, and keeping the gate closed.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I can live with myself if my little brother gets hurt," Oscar said, making Jacob's heart swell at what Oscar declared. As Oscar grabbed a bull hook and went over to his friends, Jacob's heart was filled with a mixture of emotions.

"Oscar! Wait!" Jacob shouted as he tried to open the gate, which didn't budge. Suddenly, Jacob heard a clicking sound, similar to an arachnid or an insect, and looked over to see the Jadeback, who had overheard the noise as well.

"Ozma. Find Ozma," the Jadeback growled before it looked up at the stands and spotted Ozpin. "Ozma! Retrieve! Ozma!" The Jadeback ordered, throwing a Beowolve towards the stands. Only for the Grimm to bounce off a barrier. Then the Jadeback pulled its arms back and unleashed a powerful shock blast at the barrier, shattering it as its siblings climbed into the stands, causing the audience to flee. With the Jadeback ordering.

"Retrieve, Ozma, Retrieve, The, Heir!"

A group of Beowolves approached a group of first years, only for the wolves to get intercepted by Jaune, who swung Crocea Mors in its long sword mode, beheading the Grimm. "Go!" Jaune ordered the children, who quickly made their way out.

"Is it just me, or does it seem like every time we take one of them down, a dozen more appear?" Jaune asked his colleague Ren, who was too busy gunning down any Grimm that got too close to the stands. Suddenly, a Boarbatusk rolled into the stands, knocking the green-clad Huntsman down. Only for the Grimm to get blasted by Emily, and then an Ursa was launched into the stands, knocking Emily down and causing her to drop her weapon.

The next thing the Ursa knew, it fell through the floorboards and got peppered by dust shots from Sirius. "Hey! Up here, Boo Boo," Sirius called as another Phosppine jumped and latched onto the Ursa, which made the bear Grimm bend over and shoot several spines at Sirius. The spines hit the floorboards he was under before they detonated, causing Black to fall to a lower floor, breaking through some bleachers.

As the Ursa approaches, Sirius is only to be smacked on the head by a piece of wood by Lily.

"Get back," Lily said coldly, only for the Ursa to growl and roar at her. Then, it felt a sharp pain in its back and noticed a bullhook was protruding from its chest. It stumbled and crumpled into itself, showing that Oscar was holding onto the bullhook and had stabbed the creature.

Before anyone could say anything, Sirius burst from the broken bleachers. "Still alive!" he cried, getting deadpanned looks from Emily, Oscar, and Lily.

" That's good to hear, Siri, but there are more important things," Emily said, only to stumble and feel her hip hurting, as Oscar caught her.

" Sirius, take Auntie Em to a medical tent, which I'm sure there's one set up somewhere, and Mot-Ma'am, I believe you should leave this area,"

Oscar ordered as Sirius hastily agreed, having seen that serious look that reminded him of Lily. Speaking of, the latter, however, caught what was almost said to her before shaking her head and nodding rapidly. She grabbed onto the other side of Emily, where Sirius had grabbed to help her out of the Arena.

" Hold on! Oscar!" Emily called, handing Oscar her weapon. He took it hesitantly and tried to argue, only to be silenced by his aunt's glare. " Look at me, Oscar. I know there's a part of you that wants to give me safety, and another part wants to help your friends. Now, you'll listen to your heart and help your friends deal with these Grimm."

Oscar nodded at his aunt's words and observed the area. He noticed there were hundreds of Grimm in the arena, climbing through the stands. Winter and her AceOps were busy getting the audience to safety, while Ozpin ushered the judges out. The man he believed to be his father, James, who was now glowing a crimson aura, was conjuring silver arrows and launching them at any Grimm that got too close.

Then his attention was drawn back to the arena to see his friends cutting down Grimm by the dozen, then over to the Jadeback whose attention was now on Ruby. "Silver Eyes, Destroy Silver Eyes," Jadeback growled as Oscar felt the feeling in Haven when he noticed Ruby was knocked out. With a determined look, Oscar cast a softening charm on the wall, transforming it into an improvisational springboard. He then swiftly used the size and pull charm on some nearby pillars, tautly pulling the orange cords until he reached the wall. With a powerful leap, he launched into the arena just in time to intercept the Jadeback as it attacked Ruby, executing a perfect dropkick to push the ape away. Following this, Oscar expertly performed a combat roll.

"Oscar?" Ruby asked as the farm hand looked over at the stunned Beringel.

"Ruby, you and the others have always been there to protect me. This time, it's my turn to protect you," Oscar declared as he flipped the lever mechanism, turning the shotgun into its three-prong pitchfork mode, and striking a pose that, to Ruby, seemed quite heroic.

"Heir of Ozma, the Queen orders your presence. Come and join her, and we will leave the others here," The Grimm said.

With a determined look, Oscar ignored Jadeback's words and charged straight at the massive Grimm. With swift agility, he dodged the creature's powerful swipes and slid underneath its towering form. Using his pitchfork, he skillfully aimed at the Beringel's legs, causing it to stumble and roar in frustration. As the creature struggled to regain balance, Oscar seized the opportunity. And he plunged the pitchfork behind its knee, eliciting a pained growl from the Grimm.

Quickly adapting, Oscar transformed his pitchfork into its shotgun mode and unleashed a barrage of shots at the formidable Jadeback, the impact denting its imposing armor. However, realizing that his attacks were not causing significant damage, Oscar recalibrated his strategy. Evading the Grimm's relentless assaults with agile precision, he carefully aimed for a more vulnerable spot.

With unwavering focus, Oscar lined up his shot as the prongs on his shotgun extended and a stream of electricity shot down the barrel. He released a thunderous blast from the gun directly at the Beringel's head, causing it to stagger and collapse to the ground.

Feeling a surge of pride at his accomplishment, Oscar's triumph was short-lived as Jadeback's sudden, unexpected retaliation caught him off guard. The Grimm's massive hand snaked out, seizing Oscar's leg and flinging him mercilessly to the ground, before hurling him toward Ruby, who was preparing to unleash her powers.

As the Beringel advanced menacingly towards the vulnerable pair, a sudden shock wave reverberated through the arena, propelling the Grimm into the arena wall. A resounding boom echoed through the air, jolting Oscar and Ruby back to consciousness. To their astonishment, they saw Jacob standing before them. His predatory cat-like eyes signaled that he had entered the ring with the taste of blood on his mind.

Previously, in the dragon arena.

Jacob forcefully pushed through the panicked crowd, shoving anyone in his path. 'Damn it, Oscar, when I get my hands on you,' he thought to himself. Before more Grimm entered the area, he cornered a few first years as Hagrid intercepted them, throwing them away from the children as an Ursa bit down on his arm, snapping it and pinning the half-giant.

Hagrid, being half-giant, always believed any animal that the ministry considered class four or above was simply an exotic pet. But this animal that had him pinned down, he saw nothing but rage in its eyes and realized this creature, no. This demon was truly something dangerous. It opened its maw attempting to bite off his head as a small beam of light brought his attention towards Astoria.

"Get back!" she called bravely at the Grimm, despite her wand hand shaking. As the Ursa approached the small girl, something clicked inside Jacob, causing him to run towards the Grimm with a feral roar. This caused the bear Grimm to turn and see the commotion, only to have its snout impacted inward by Jacob, who nearly punched the Grimm's head off, killing it instantly.

Astoria looked back to see Jacob's cat-like eyes making him look like a feral hunter. "Jay?" she asked Jacob to turn and look at her. More Grimm entered the area, dividing their attention, as Jacob's animagus instincts screamed at him to remove the trespassers and protect the pride.

"Go, Tori, I'll handle this," Jacob said as Astoria left with her group. Before Jacob was about to engage, the Grimm were frozen solid by an overpowered freezing charm by Hermione and Daphne, who looked scared.

"Potter, what in Morgana's hell are those things?" Daphne asked, ushering her sister and her class group out of the arena.

" Remnants pest problem," Jacob replied coldly, as Marrow approached them

"Hey! You kids get out of here!" Marrow called.

"Not without my brother," Jacob said, getting Marrow to groan.

"Look, kid, I get that you and Pine are related, but it seems like your little sticks are doing more harm than good. So, I'm not asking you again to leave the area," Marrow said.

Jacob gave a look of defiance for a moment, only to calm down. "All right, do you mind showing us the way out, dog?" he said.

Marrow gladly escorted them out, finally having a victory over the Jaglion. Only for said Faunus to hook his leg and knock Marrow down before Jacob wrapped his arm around his neck in a chokehold, which Marrow swiftly passed out.

"Jay! What are you doing!?" Hermione asked as Jacob picked up Marrow's weapon.

"Marrow is right, our magic is only slowing the Grimm down, and I'm not leaving without the Oscar," Jacob said, testing the rifle's weight. "So, if you're not going to help, leave."

Jacob continued moving around the stadium as Daphne jumped in front of him.

"Tell me something, Potter. What's your plan?"

"Am I going to get back in that stadium to give my idiot Brother a good slap in the head before joining him in taking these monsters down," Jacob said.

"Then what? Do you even know how to use that thing?" Daphne asked as Jacob looked back at the rifle he was awkwardly holding.

"I can't lose him. Oscar just called me his brother, so I can't lose him," Jacob cried as Daphne placed a calming hand on his arm.

"I get it, you don't have to do this alone," Daphne said as Hermione took the other arm comfortably.

Jacob looked at the girls who had happened to be by his side all year. Out of everyone in this school, these two seemed to have his trust when he decided to try something he hadn't done before. After activating his aura and pushing it to the girls, a moment later they were both glowing an emerald green and violet.

Daphne and Hermione looked over themselves and noticed their new ability before they could say anything.

"So, this is what a soul feels like on the outside," Luna said as the group turned to see that she was glowing with a silver aura, along with Neville, Sheamus, and Dean Thomas, who was glowing with a fall red, a bright orange, and a golden yellow respectively.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Jacob asked.

"I should be asking you the same thing," Dean said as Jacob growled in frustration. "Everyone's making their way out, but you're the one here who isn't immediately leaving the promise."

" Easy Jay, You know as well as anyone that you can't handle those monsters alone, Beacon even has a policy of no less than four Huntsman where to go on a mission And there are seven of us which to the magic world is one of the strongest numbers," Luna said.

"We're right behind you on this, Jay," Neville said to Jacob, knowing he couldn't get away no matter how hard he tried. He quickly made his way back downstairs to another gate to see Oscar delivering an impressive drop kick on the Jadeback.

"Wow, did you see that!" Dean called as the rest of his group looked at the scene in awe, Jacob, on the other hand, couldn't help but look on in worry as he saw Oscar using his small size to his advantage, avoiding the Grimm's attacks before landing a solid hit on its head.

Jacobs's relief was short-lived as the Beringel grabbed Oscar and threw him around in the arena before throwing him into Ruby.

"No," Jacob said quietly as images of the Grimm smashing Oscar into a pulp entered his mind. Luna dragged her colleagues away from Jacob, sensing what was about to happen.

"NO!" Jacob heard himself roar. But nobody else listened as he vocalized a shockwave that blew the doors off and collided with a Grimm, sending it to the other side of the stadium.

Oscar looked through the dust that formed when the doors closed to see Jacob approaching him, and Oscar greeted him nervously.

But Jacob simply lifted Oscar from the ground, checking to see if he had any injuries, which he didn't, and nodded to himself before slapping Oscar behind the ear.

"You idiot! What do you think you were doing? Locking me up after what you just said," Jacob scolded Oscar, who found his shoes more interesting. He caught his brother's hoarse tone in his voice before getting pulled into a forced hug by Jacob. "You said we were brothers, and brothers are supposed to look after each other," Jacob cried into Oscar's shoulder.

Unfortunately, the brothers' moment was interrupted as the Jadeback freed itself. "This thing doesn't learn to quit," Jacob said.

The Jadeback snarled before it called two Phosppines which embedded themselves into the Beringel and launched their spines at Jacob, Hermione shut down with fetch as she and the others made their way back into the arena. As well as ricocheting her shots off the arena walls, she shot off the quilled Grimm.

"All right, Lovegood, what's the next step of your plan? And what in the hell are we supposed to do with these?" Daphne asks as Luna hands her a piece of rebar, Sheamus a deck of playing cards, and Dean a can of paint.

"Trust me, you know, when it comes to you," Luna said as she picked up a piece of rebar herself and noticed the Grimm in the stands had seen them and made their way back down. "But at this moment, just keep these Shadows busy until someone takes down their leader, and if you're going to use your magic, stick to elemental or explosive spells."

Speaking of which, the Jadeback was staring down Jacob as he noticed Oscar's mark on the beats, leaving it blind on the right side before it charged at him. Jacob shifted into his animagus form, sliding under and tearing at its right calf, causing it to drop onto its knees. The Beringel then tried to backhand Jacob, only for him to use his sharp nails to slash the ape's tendons before biting down behind the ape's head, crushing its spine.

As the Beringel collapsed in on itself, Jacob spits out a clump of black tar. 'Memo, do not try to take a bite out of these things, ever again,' he thought as he noticed Grimm enter the ring and charge at him.

"Jay! Heads up!" Daphne called and she thrust a piece of metal into the ground causing an ice wave that froze any tar pools and Grimm that got in its path. Jacob and a few other Huntsman noticed the wave coming and quickly jumped over as the entire arena froze. Unfortunately, nearly three-quarters of the Grimm that were caught in the wave quickly broke themselves out.

"Alright, this is just getting ridiculous. Does everyone have some type of secret weapon or ability that we don't know about? Because I think it's a good time to bust it out," Jacob said as Ruby gave a nervous chuckle.

"Well, you see, according to Maria, if I focus on happier moments that make me want to protect life, I can shoot these lasers on my eyeballs," she explained nervously, causing Jacob to blink at her. What she said reminded him of a spell that Remus had told him, but Jacob couldn't do.

' Well, it'll never hurt to try, and I recently had a new memory,' Jacob thought, quickly pulling out his wand and focusing on the recent event where Oscar called him his brother.

"Expecto Patronum!" Jacob cast, this time instead of a dim light emitting from his wand, a turret of silver mist flowed out rapidly, causing Jacob to hold his wand with two hands as said mist formed into a huge Jaglion.

The remnants looked at the new creature in awe, feeling a sense of calmness as they looked at its white aura. The aura seemed to have the opposite effect on the Grimm, as they backed away nervously, except for one brave Beowolve who decided to charge at the new creature. Only for the feline to slash the Grimm. A moment later, like a troll in sunlight, the Grimm slowly petrified.

This made the remaining Grimm step away from the silver beast in fear, only to notice more of the similar creatures starting to appear around the stadium. Then, one by one, the guardians quickly dispatched the Grimm, leaving the stadium surrounded by mere statues of the creatures' imitations.

A moment later, several airships arrived, dropping off several armored troops, as well as James Ironwood, general of the Atlas military, and a group of Aurors led by Madame Bones. Both teams entered the arena, trying to take control, which ended up in a hasty standoff between the two groups.

"Dawlish! Stand down," Bones called, but Dawlish didn't listen as he was more concerned with eyeing the weapons the troops were now aimed at him and his colleagues, before a sharp whistle sounded, getting the Aurors and the troops to straighten up.

"Mad-eye, nice of you to drop in, how's life treating you?" Bones said to her old sergeant.

"Outside of getting locked in a trunk for two months, just dandy," Moody said, looking over at the Atlanta troops. "Listen up, I'm sure you are aware that you're far away from home at this moment. This crime scene belongs to us, but considering these creatures belong in your world, you can help us by giving us information."

Before General Ironwood or any of his men could answer, a young girl in an olive green dress hovered inside the stadium. "Generally, it seems all the Grimm are contained in this area, which must have been neutralized," Penny said.

"Most?" Ironwood asked as he noticed some of his men seemed to have their weapons aimed at some Grimm who appeared to be restrained with ropes made of light. "Who is responsible for that?"

"That would be me," Dumbledore called out as Ironwood hummed to himself.

"They are still alive," Ironwood said.

"Why of course," Dumbledore said as Ironwood nodded to Harriet, who smiled before rushing over the ground, snapping their necks before anyone could blink.

"Do you have any idea what you've done!" Dumbledore shouted.

"My job, in our world, Grimm, is to be terminated on sight," Harriet replied.

"I'm sure my groundskeeper can tame these animals," Dumbledore said, only to be interrupted by Harriet alone with the other remnants who heard what he said and laughed out loud.

"That's quite unlikely, Headmaster Dumbledore," Penny said. "Many have tried to tame the Grimm, but all of them have failed. The few cases where someone had to tame a Grimm only lasted for a brief moment, or said individual had malicious intent." She explained before her attention was drawn to another person, particularly a girl in a red hood.

"Penny?" Ruby whispered.

"Salutations!" Penny said slowly before jetting towards the red-hooded girl and sweeping her off her feet. "I miss you, Ruby,"

Ruby gasped as she felt her ribs crack and replied that she also missed her friend. Penny swiftly let her go before looking over at Oscar, noticing both his and Ruby's looks at each other before she could say anything. An Auror named Tonks rushed back to the field but slipped on a puddle of ice, causing Amelia Bones to roll her eyes.

"Sorry, boss, but I found this in the Ridgeback's cage," Tonks said, handing a large syringe over to Amelia, who noticed a few drops of a black liquid still inside, quickly looking back at the Grimmauld Place where the remnants were expected.

"Tonks, have you done a head count? Is everyone still here? Has anyone ever left the facility?" Bones asked Tonks, nodding as Bones made her way over to the current Grimm experts.

Meanwhile, several Aurors and troopers were interviewing the Potter brothers to get their story on what happened, when one of the other dragon trainers approached them.

"Excuse me, Mr. Pine, but I believe the head trainer wanted to ask you some questions personally," the trainer said.

"Ok, what's this about?" Oscar asked. I noticed the trainer's yellow eyes seemed to think for a second.

"The other trainers are curious about how you tamed one of the most vicious dragons we know," The Handler said before grabbing Oscar's arm tightly and trying to drag him off somewhere before Jacob got in between them sniffing the trainer.

"Do you need a tissue or something, kitten?"

Ignoring the trainer's question, Jacob picked up the scent of motor oil, something he never believed a wizarding-born would mess with, and a smell he would never forget, which he now describes as "Grimm-stanch". Suddenly, he noticed the trainer's hands start to grow a misty red, recognizing the spell as a tracking spell his mother invented that indicates fingerprints.

Realizing he was caught, Tyrion threw off his disguise and kicked his tail towards Oscar. Fortunately, he was shoved out of the way by his brother, who quickly grabbed the tail to pull Tyrion in and punched him in the face, sending him across the Arena.

Undeterred, Tyrion rushes back over to Oscar but gets intercepted by Jacob. Jacob knocks Tyrion to the ground and repeatedly punches him in the face. The Scorpion faunus kicks Jacob off of him.

Tyrion inhumanly rolls back up, fixes his nose back into place, and laughs at Jacob's attempts to take him down. "So you want to play, do you?" Tyrion says before laughing, activating his wrist blades, and charging at Jacob. Jacob struggles to dodge the scorpion faunus' relentless attacks. Their fight ends with Tyrion headbutting Jacob and stabbing him in the leg, cutting the right side of his forehead with Tyrion's stinger, leaving a gash above his right eye.

For good measure, Tyrion backhands Jacob, knocking him down. This action captures the Aurors' attention as they engage with Tyrion, who swiftly teaches them that their spells are no match for a slippery opponent.

Tyrion turned to see the only Aurors left were Bones, Tonks, and Dawlish, licking one of his blades clean to intimidate them only to spit out the gunk, "Rotten blood. And you ask yourself why you long pigs are going extinct, It's all this inbreeding," Tyrion said as Dawlish, the only person who cares about his heritage ground his teeth at this animal's accusation. Before Dawlish could call Tyrion out, he was silenced by Bones who glared over at the tar pits encased in ice but still bubbling.

" Settle down, according to the reports, when the crowd got agitated these things started bubbling and those creatures started showing up," Bones whispered, realizing what Tyrion was up to as the remnant soldiers and their weapons were pointed at him.

"Tyrian Callows, you're under arrest for 91 counts of first-degree murder," Penny said as she and the other Hunters aimed their weapons at him.

" I believe your calculations are off, The last time I checked my kill count was in the triple digits, useless scrap heap," Tyrian said, causing the other remnants to readjust their weapons, half of them were tempted to light up the scorpion with dust holes.

"Now, now, let's not do anything hasty here, Mr. Callows. I'm sure if you come quietly, we will give you a fair trial," Dumbledore said, hoping to take control of the situation. However, Tyrian ignored him and turned to Beacon's headmaster.

"Ozpin, does this senile ill-blood speak for you?" Tyrian asked, earning shocked looks from the wizards as Madame Bones tried to calm them down.

But Dawlish had enough. "How dare you? Headmaster Dumbledore may be senile, but his blood is a lot cleaner than yours, insect," Dawlish said, only to get silenced by a gunshot.

Tyrian clicked his tongue, "Looks like the good doctor was correct, this world is filled with hypocrites. Why do you even fight against someone when you have similar opinions to them?"

"Tyrian! I'm going to ask this once, leave now, this planet has no interest to your master," Ozpin said only for Tyrian to chuckle darkly

"Oh, you're quite wrong about that, Headmaster, considering this world has a weapon that is harmful to my goddess children, and we all know what happened to the silver warriors," Tyrion said as he noticed movement from the Ridgeback as it stood up. It's now blood-red eyes snapped open.

"Well, have fun, kiddos," Tyrion said as he crushed a red rock, disappearing in a vortex of crimson flames, leaving the wizards to deal with the grimified dragon.

Quickly, the remnants turned their weapons on the dragon and started shooting it, only for their shots to bounce off its hide as the dragon inhaled and spewed a neon green sludge that ignited in the air, leaving a barrier of green flames that separated the hunters and wizards as well as hitting some of the paladins, destroying them.

Ruby quickly realized that their weapons were futile against the Grimm. Fueled by determination, she began to channel her inner power, hoping to turn the tide of the battle. However, the Grimm anticipated her move and swiftly struck her with its tail, sending her crashing into the arena wall. The impact rendered her unable to continue fighting.

"Ruby!" Oscar shouted anxiously, rushing to her side. He was horrified to see blood mingling with her dark locks as the menacing silhouette of the Grimm loomed over them. As a rear back and gargled for another devastating acid blast, a magnificent silver stag charged in, deflecting the attack with sheer force.

"Stay away from my son, you wretched beast!" James bellowed as the Grimm turned its attention toward him, unleashing another corrosive blast. James narrowly evaded the attack, losing his wand and noting the Grimm's deteriorating, flaking skin as it was about to launch another assault.

"Father!" James's sensitive ears heard a thunderous boom that went around the arena and a cobalt shockwave collided with the Grimm, sending it across the arena. James turned to see his other son, Jacob, wheezing heavily before his aura shattered, causing him to collapse. James rushed over to him.

The Grimm picked itself up, firing another acid blast as James futilely raised his hand. The sand around him formed a shield, protecting him from the blast. James looked curiously at his hand before he touched the shield, which reverted to sand. Then, a thought occurred to him as he waved his hand toward Grimm. The sand shot forward, turning into large stone spears that secured the dragon. This caused its back to split open, revealing a Grimm with a black serpentine body and a green-patterned hood that made it appear to have eyes. It had four red eyes on its bony head, which stretched out to a point, a mouthful of emerald fangs, spine-like spikes across its back, and a sharp bony tail.

"A Raja," Ozpin hissed, quickly recognizing this Grimm and how dangerous it is, as this type has been known to give teams of veteran Huntsman trouble. According to some reports Ozpin read from survivors, it possesses an ability that he was just about to warn his students about when the Raja opened its hood, trapping anyone who looked at it in a nightmarish illusion.

Oscar's subconscious

Oscar woke up to find himself in a black void. He briefly shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. "This is not real," Oscar mumbled. Having heard about what Rajas are capable of in Grimm studies, he knew that Rajas can spew flammable acid and use their hoods to put their victims in a hypnotic trance. He wouldn't be surprised if his body stood there looking foolish.

Shaking his thoughts away, Oscar continues to look around and notices a crimson-painted mirror in front of him, which shows him what's going on outside his body. He sees the Raja bearing down on Jacob and his father.

Oscar then futilely hit the glass trying to break it, as discouraging voices surrounded him, causing Oscar to drop to his knees before noticing his friend's pendants started glowing. 'No, Ruby and the others wouldn't give up, so I can't give up either,' Oscar said to himself, pulling his right arm back, ready to shatter the window as the Raja launched itself.

James was fixated on the unfolding scene, his surroundings suspended in time. The only hint of movement came from the subtle shifting of people's eyes. Suddenly, his attention was drawn to the Grimm slithering into view, its jet-black scales catching the light and gleaming menacingly. He could sense the heat of its breath as it locked its gaze onto him before its attention abruptly shifted to Jacob, who let out a pained groan. James immediately noticed the Rajah's shifting scales and realized it was about to strike Jacob. Instinctively, he threw himself over his son, bracing for the imminent impact of the Grimm's sharp fangs. Instead, a rush of sensation overwhelmed him, and as he momentarily opened his eyes, he found himself encircled by a shower of flower petals. At first, he thought Ruby was behind this, only to realize she had been injured in the recent fight, and the petals were green. Turning around, he saw Oscar, whose Aura pulsated several colors.

Before any words could be spoken, the Raja emitted a menacing snarl at Oscar. It swiftly lashed its tail toward him, creating a swirling cloud of dust that caused James and Jacob to roll back. As the tail made contact, a resounding thud echoed through the air. Soon, the dust dissipated, revealing a shocking sight. The bone plates on Raja's tail were visibly split, and a pained scream escaped the creature as Raja fired another acid blast at Oscar. He frantically tried to shield himself as a glyph shield appeared before him, protecting him from the acidic substance.

Intrigued, Oscar glanced over and noticed his newfound ability. He then looked back at the Grimm with a determined look, briefly moving the glyph towards his feet using it to repel himself towards the Grimm as Yang's pendant glowed, causing his eyes and hair to light up red and green, respectively. With strong determination, he unleashed a powerful punch, propelling the 50-foot serpent across the arena.

The deafening shockwave jolted everyone out of their nightmarish trance, sending a shiver down their spines. "What did I miss?" Yang inquired, her head spinning as the other conscious hunters surveyed their surroundings. They all turned their attention to the monitor, which displayed the events of the past 10 minutes.

"Did Oscar just harness our semblance?" wondered Yang and Weiss, noticing the unusually potent display of power. Weiss glanced at her scroll and nearly gasped in disbelief. Oscar's aura, previously less than halfway charged, now blazed with energy, seemingly ten times stronger than before. "What in the world is that semblance?" Weiss muttered to herself, bewildered by the newfound strength.

Unfortunately, the Raja was not finished yet; it lifted its broken jaw, which barely hung on before it noticed a nearby Grimm pool. It slammed its head through the ice, consuming the black liquid. This action resets its jaw and causes emerald spines to pop out, sparking electricity, which it shot at Oscar, pushing him back as he tried to brace himself as Nora's pins glowed.

Oscar planted his foot firmly into the ground, feeling the fabric of his jacket tear as his muscles bulged underneath. A surge of rage welled up within him as he witnessed the destruction of his aunt's gift. Crackling electricity began to spiral around him as he invoked the seize and pull charm, drawing the serpent closer to him. With a fierce determination, he pulled back his fist and unleashed a devastating blow as the serpent approached, crushing its skull and sending it flying to the far end of the arena.

When the Raja raised its head, its jaw fell off, causing blue and yellow fluid to start leaking out. A few drops of the fluid landed on each other, causing them to combust, which Oscar noticed as he smirked with an idea. Quickly, he took out his wand and waved it in a circular pattern, casting the mixing charm. "Mobilis Circumage,"

Slowly, the puddles started to mix, leading a path to the Grimm. As it realized what was about to happen, the puddles ignited, which followed the trail to the Raja and up its fangs, causing its head to explode.

Oscar looked at the fallen Grimm, which slowly collapsed in on itself. The adrenaline he had was starting to fade, and from the stress of his semblance, his aura broke, causing him to fall back. Luckily, he was caught by Ozpin.

"I got you, son," Ozpin said before scooping Oscar into his arms, taking note of a large bruise on his right arm.

Goodwitch made her way over to the Headmaster. "Ozpin, what in the hell was that? I've never seen a semblance like that," she said, to which Ozpin replied that he didn't know.
