Silence grows thick. The liquid –dense, warm and slimy– fills the cavity and I can't help but to feel entranced by its beauty. Soon, instructions come, and I yearn for a bit more room to get used to the sensation of floating in space. Somewhere far away, in a secluded pit hidden from the light of day, there are people waiting for me. They expect me to raise my arms and reach for the controls.

By the time I'm able to move, to perceive myself fully, I can hear the arguments. Dr. Akagi bids me take control of the machine, and so I try to do. My eyes are still blurry and can't see well though the orange hue. But I feel them. I feel the controls and I know. Somehow, I know that my body is no longer mine exclusively. Conversely, I have gained vote in a new being, a creature that demands to be heard.

I try to listen; I put all my heart into it, since I know that he is watching me closely. Nevertheless, the voices fade little by little and all that remains is a faint glitter. Before me, it evolves into a whitish gleam that bewilders me.

Close to her. I am close to something I feel a part of me, but no matter how fast I run, how fast I dive into the deep orange, I can't reach it.

The pain brings me back to my senses. Something is not going as supposed to. I can hear the team again. They are screaming their lungs out. I'm afraid. Something is coming for me.

She doesn't want me here.
