"If you're bored around lunchtime, I wouldn't say no to having you join me," Penelope said as she and JJ walked into the bullpen without Alex, who had chosen to walk Erin to her office.
"I might take you up on that offer, depending on what we're doing today. I'm really hoping that I get to write up quick profiles for communities that need our help for less gruesome unsubs." JJ gave her a small smile as she turned away to head over to Reid's desk. Penelope shook her head a little as she climbed the stairs that went up to her office, glad that Anderson wasn't anywhere near his desk. She knew that he would just needle her about what she was planning for her friends. Not that she was really planning on anything truly happening, since she knew that she wasn't in their bedrooms.
She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice that she was walking into someone until she bumped into a warm body. Shaking her head a little to clear her thoughts, she looked up into Anderson's face, seeing that he was trying to swallow his smile. "Good morning, Garcia."
"Good morning, Anderson. What brings you up to this level?"
"Agent Hotchner needed to ask me something. How did your evening go? I thought I saw you leave with Strauss?"
"We had a girl's night, and it was fun. And today, between my searches for the teams, I need to source a private yoga instructor."
He cocked his head to one side as he stared at her, and she tried not to squirm under the scrutiny. "Yoga?"
She nodded as she took a step away from his so that she could unlock her office. "My doctor said that if I found something that would relax me, it might increase my chances of getting pregnant naturally. And luckily, my three closest friends in the office agreed to join me, since relaxation is something we're not very good at."
Anderson chuckled as she stepped into the office, and she glared at him a little. "That look doesn't work quite as well coming from you as it would from Strauss. But they actually agreed to join you?"
Penelope nodded. "I'm adorable, who could say no to me?" she said with a smirk. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Though I wouldn't say no to having a coffee delivered to my office? You know what I like."
"And what do I get if I bring it to you?"
"My eternal thankfulness? And I could be persuaded to bump up any searches that you need me to do, too."
He nodded before heading down the stairs, and she let out a long breath as she closed her door and took a seat in front of her computer system. As they booted up, she pulled a notepad out of her purse and set it on her desk before shoving said purse into her bottom drawer. Reaching out for a pen, Penelope hurriedly scrawled out what she needed to do for her side project before turning her attention to her monitors and began tapping away at her keyboard, logging in for the day. There were a few searches that had completed during the night, and she sent that information off to the teams that needed it before she started to look into finding a local yoga instructor.
She figured that everyone would be most comfortable with a middle aged woman leading them, rather than a college aged woman, since that would be closer to their age, and would better know how their bodies moved. She compiled a list of four possible candidates, and reached out to the via their emails, asking them to call her so that she could ask them a few questions before making her final decision. After those had been sent out, she then made that list of questions, before turning to a fresh sheet of paper and then turning to her free monitor, starting a basic search for natural ways to boost fertility in women.
"That actually sounds yummy," she said as she read about how to make a smoothie that was filled with antioxidants and nutrients that supported and boosted fertility. It would be so easy to make them up for the group before their yoga class, and she hurriedly wrote down the ingredients on the notepad. Just as she was writing down the last ingredient, her phone began to ring, and she answered it without looking at the display. "Penelope Garcia?"
"Hello, this is Moira Callahan. You emailed me about a private yoga class?"
"Yes! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I have a few questions to ask before I make a decision. Would you have a few minutes to speak with me?"
"Of course."
"Excellent." Penelope pulled the note pad in front of her as she began to ask her questions, taking notes on Moira's answers. The more the woman spoke, the more at easy with her Penelope felt, and she wondered if it would be that way with the other three women, or if she had magically hit the jackpot with her first interview. "All right, those are all the questions I have for you. I hope to be able to let you know by the end of the day."
"Very good, Penelope. Have a good day."
"You as well." She ended the call and put five stars next to Moira's name. For the rest of the morning, she was dividing her time between taking calls from her teams and interviewing the other instructors she had selected. Anderson had even managed to bring her a delicious blueberry muffin along with her coffee, though she couldn't help but wonder if he was trying to figure out where she was in her plan. By the time JJ appeared with lunch, she had made her decision, and sent an email to Moira, letting her know that she would like to engage her services on Saturday evenings.
"So, any good news?" her friend asked as she plopped down on a free space of Penelope's desk.
"Yes! I've found our instructor, and our first class will be next Saturday. I'll send out a mass email with all the details, once everything is finalized, but I really think that you're going to like Moira. There is something so soothing about her voice, though I can't really place her accent."
"I still can't believe that you managed to talk Strauss, of all people, into doing yoga with us."
Penelope shrugged as they dug into their food. "She's mellowed out a lot since her brush with death, and it will be nice for you to get to know her a little better." JJ nodded as she took a bite of her sandwich. "Now, how did you and Will end up having Henry? Did you do anything special?"
JJ blushed a little before shrugging. "Honestly? Henry was an accident. We were using condoms and I was on the pill. He was just supposed to be here. It was the same for my other pregnancy, too. That's what makes things frustrating for us now. I may have told a little lie in front of Blake and Strauss, since I don't talk about that time, even if…well, even if. But I'm sort of looking forward to yoga and destressing with you all. And who knows, maybe by the time you end up pregnant with Morgan, Will and I will be expecting, too." Penelope grinned as she nodded, reclining in her chair as she continued to talk with her friend, glad that everything was falling into place so neatly.
