[ Before this begins a little heads up - this fanfiction will spoil the movie No One Will Save You. I highly recommend watching that movie instead of reading this! It's honestly one of my favorite horror/thriller movies and it's very well done. Please watch that instead of reading this and getting spoiled, though I did change some things up from the movie. I also want to say that this story is pretty much the movie but changed slightly. It's also one paragraph, one very long paragraph. It is a block of text so if you don't like reading blocks of texts I suggest skipping this one. ]

In a way it's comedic, not really but in a morbid and ironic sense. Here was Matthew, isolated and shunned by the town living and surving on his own in the house that his mother willed to him. And he's fighting for his life against aliens. There's no one around to help and would they even help after what he did? Years ago he and his boyfriend Alfred got into an argument, he couldn't even remember about what. Voices were raised, insults were thrown, Alfred had pushed Matthew and he stumbled back. "Asshole!" Matthew had yelled and shoved Alfred who never really had a good sense of balance. It was an accident, it truly was. Despite that the town treated him as a murderer and he had to live in practical isolation or else he'd be spit on and cursed at. Although his life was horrible and awful he had made a promise to Alfred, even if one of us were to die first the other can't rush their death, and he knew Alfred forgave him for that accident but would Alfred forgive him if he rushed his death? So here Matthew is fighting for his life against aliens refusing to give up. He's using anything available to help him survive because wouldn't Alfred want that? He managed to stab and kill one of them, black goo oozed out of its brain, and yet Matthew didn't leave and flee. He knew that no one would help and he'd be better off preparing for the fight of his life on his home turf. He boarded the windows and put the door back up which had been kicked down by the alien. He wished Alfred was here, but he wished that a lot. But if Alfred was here they could defend themselves together, Alfred would probably have had supplies ready in the basement for a potential alien invasion, Matthew did not have that. Matthew grabbed every single pot and filled it with water, bringing all the pots to a boil, he had a frying pan in one hand, and a couple of knives in his pants pocket. When more of the aliens infiltrated his house he was better prepared, he attacked back with all he had. Fighting for himself and for Alfred. He had thought he had killed the three aliens that came and he was taking a second to breath and regain his strength. He was so tired and really so weak, he wasn't the type of person you'd expect in an alien invasion movie, Alfred was. As he sat slumped on his bed he didn't notice the window slowly open and one of the aliens quietly entering. Matthew was so focused on calming his breathing that he didn't notice slight movement on the bed until it jumped onto the back of his head. The parasite quickly scuttered around and latched itself to Matthew's face. He began to try and pull the parasite off his face, and thrashing he fell back onto the bed. He was able to look up and see the alien above him right as the parasite entered his nose. Flashes of memories of him and Alfred flashed before him, when they first met, times they played together as knights or demigods. When they entered middle school and Matthew began to feel a deep jealousy of any girl that looked Alfred's way. To when they were freshmen Alfred confronted him on why he was so distant and passive-aggressive and Matthew cried out yelling, "because I love you!" The memories switched to them holding hands, and kissing, and then the argument, as Matthew watched his memories play out before him he still couldn't remember what they argued about. Then the aftermath, and Matthew felt himself sag and he gave into the parasite and accepted his fate that this was the end. Suddenly to his surprise he could feel his body still and could think still and could feel it inside of him beginning to move down his throat. Matthew reached a hand into his mouth, trying not to gag he reached back and grabbed the parasite that was moving its way down. Pulling with all his might he yanked it out and threw it across the room to where it splattered. As he sat up he turned towards the alien that was standing behind him and it just stared at him before slowly leaving back out the window.
