Sorry about the long wait everyone. When I started on a new chapter, I thought it was going to lead into a direction the would be difficult to write and I would end up disappointing a lot of people. I did rewrites of the chapter and even considered rebooting the whole series. But here it is. The next chapter. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Harry really didn't know what to think as he stared at the menu in his hands. Yang brought him to a nice café complete with outdoor tables and umbrellas to protect customers from the rain and sun. There was another couple at a table beside them, only older. According the menu, it was a bistro that served mainly lunch courses with different beverages and desserts.

He couldn't lie that he was nervous. He was on a date with a gorgeous blonde with a body that every teenage boy dreamed about. But his previous dates with Cho and Parvati were a complete fiasco on his part. Looking back, he realized that Hermione was right, and he acted a little bit tactless with Cho. Parvati, too.

"You don't have to be so nervous," Yang said, breaking him from his thoughts.

Harry lowered the menu and saw Yang staring at him. Her menu was on the table and she was looking at him with a thoughtful expression.

"I'm sorry?" he asked.

Yang pointed to his right foot on the ground. Harry now realized his foot was nervously jittering against the table leg, making the whole table slightly shake.

Harry felt his cheeks warm as he firmly stopped his foot from shaking. "Sorry about that."

"It's okay," Yang said dismissively. "I did kind of put you on the spot by taking you to lunch without warning."

"Speaking of which," Harry started as he put his menu down, "how exactly did I earn this date?"

Yang rolled her eyes, placed her menu down and leaned forward onto her hands. "It all started last year, when my dad finally let go on a date with a boy. Stone Grainsand was his name and he was a year older than me. I thought he was dreamy and sweet. But that all changed on our first date."

"What happened?" asked Harry.

"Well, we went to the movies for our date. About ten minutes into the movie, he put his arm around me. At first, I didn't mind and even leaned in. But about another ten minutes went by before he decided to grab my chest."

Harry winced at that. "I'm guessing it wasn't an accident."

Yang smirked. "The only accident that happened was I broke the offending hand that grabbed me when I intended to break only the fingers."

Harry gulped and promised himself never to do anything to upset Yang. "Sounds like he deserved it."

"Oh, yeah. After that, it was a string of bad dates: groping, bad makeouts, and butt slapping. And each offender ended with something broken. It was then I learned of the Bet."

Harry frowned in confusion. "The Bet?"

"Apparently Stone and his friends made a group bet called 'Who can ride the Yellow Dragon?'"

"What?!" Harry gasped.

"Yes. And after I kicked several asses who were involved in it, I created my own bet: break my punching record and get a date with me. I would only go on a date with a guy who was willing to take my challenge. Only a few did."

"Well, I guess I am really lucky then," Harry smiled.

Yang smiled coyly back. "I think we both are."

It was then the waitress arrived. She was a young woman with long, ebony hair and bright pink eyes. Her outfit consisted of a red dress with a white apron. She had a smile on her face as she gazed at the couple with a notepad in her hand.

And she also had a pair of dark, fuzzy mouse ears on her head.

"Hey, Yang," the server said cheerily. "I haven't see you here in a while. And with such a cute date either."

Harry blushed while Yang laughed. "This is Harry," Yang introduced. "He's new on Patch and has the honor of basking in my presence."

Harry and the waitress both laughed. "Well then hello, Harry. My name is Minnie and I'll be your server today. Do you know what you want?"

"We'll have two specials," Yang answered for the both of them. "Iced tea for me."

"I'll have a water, please," requested Harry.

"Ooh, I love the accent," said Minnie as she winked and walked away. "I'll bring you orders out soon."

Yang chuckled at Harry's red cheeks. "You're so easy to tease."

"Being flirted with was not something I really enjoyed," Harry grumbled.

"Really?" Yang asked. "I though you said you were famous in your world. Girls didn't flirt with you?"

Harry sighed with frustration. "I was famous because a madman killed my parents and tried to kill me. But I survived. It's not something I like remembering. And yet, people kept reminding me nearly every day."

"I'm sorry. That was insensitive of me," Yang hung her head down, embarrassed.

"Not your fault. You didn't know. It's just something I've had to live with every day of my life," he brushed back his bangs, showing Yang the still healing scar. "People gawking at my forehead everywhere I go."

Yang nodded, then smirked. "Well at least they're staring at your face." She then pushed her arms together, raising her chest making Harry blush even more. "Unlike me, when guys stare, I notice they're not looking in my eyes."

Minnie then arrived with their food and drinks. The special was a seafood combo of fried shrimp and cod with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. Harry figured as much. The town of Signal looked like it was once an old fishing village. Besides the main dock, which was well-built, there were a few old docks lining the shoreline. Several fishing trawlers were anchored around them while a few older ones lay beached on the shores.

The buildings that aligned the shores were also a sign. They were built to withstand the water, salt and wind the sea storms blew throughout the years. Although, you could see signs of age on the wooden tiles on the roofs. Several buildings were weathered, but still running businesses and homes. However, further inland were more modern. Buildings, like a large grocery store, blacksmith shop, and electronic stores for scrolls and holo-tv's.

Yang and Harry filled the next half hour with small talk. While eating, Yang would ask what similarities there were between Earth and Remnant. Both were surprised who alike their worlds really are. Yang also showed Harry how to use a scroll, since Harry expressed interest in buying one when he used Taiyang's yesterday. In turn, Harry showed Yang what magic he could. Mainly hiding the salt and peppershakers in his wallet thanks to the small, untraceable Extension charm in the folds. He also unfolded the Marauders Map from his back pocket and showed her how it would work if his wand wasn't broken.

"Wow, your world sounds amazing," Yang remarked. Their lunch finished, Minnie picked up the plates and took them back inside. Harry and Yang decided to stay and finish their drink refills. "Magic, potions, dragons. I would love to be a witch."

"It wasn't all that great," Harry admitted. "Not with Voldemort gaining followers to start a war with the wizarding world, the Ministry trying to tell everyone there was nothing wrong when prisoners broke out of Azkaban, and most of school believing I was a liar."

Not to mention that I may have led my friends to their deaths, Harry thought darkly.

Yang sighed and leaned forward. "Harry, not a week goes by when I have to go and fight Grimm that have been sighted near homes on Patch. Not a night goes by that I watch the news and find out a village just got destroyed either by bandits, raiders or monsters. To live in a world with no Grimm, that sounds like paradise."

Harry ducked, ashamed. "I'm sorry. I'm still learning how dangerous your world is."

"It's okay. We've all learned to deal with it." Yang drained the last of her tea and stood up. "Shall we go back?"

Harry nodded and stood up as well. Yang was about to lay some Lien onto the table when Harry beat her to it.

"What kind of gentleman let's his date pay for lunch?" Harry asked.

Yang grinned and put her wallet away. As they left, Yang slipped her arm around Harry's. "A real gentleman. Maybe this can work out for a second date."

"That would be nice," Harry smiled back.

The two walked in silence back to Beacon. They observed several people watching them, mostly guys throwing winks and thumbs-up at Harry for his good luck and gossip from women who saw a gentleman escorting a lady. While Harry did not like the attention, he couldn't deny the warm feeling he had in his chest when he was very close to Yang.

He liked it.

Qrow was waiting for them at the entrance of Signal academy, leaning on the wall with his flask in hand. But this time, he had a weird device strapped to his lower back. Harry didn't know what it was, but he recognized a long sword handle on one end. Qrow smirked at the couple as they approached him.

"You're dad's on a rampage, Firecraker."

"Why?" asked Yang.

"A video of magic boy breaking Signal's punching record is circulating on the net. And when Tai went looking for you two, he found out from Ruby that the two of you went on a date," Qrow explained. He then chuckled. "Ruby's trying to calm him down, but he's looking for blood."

Harry gulped and tried to run. Yang gripped his arm, pulling him back to her side.

"Dad's not going to kill you, Harry," Yang said calmly. "I'm going to find him and calm him down."

"Good luck with that," Qrow muttered, taking another draught. "The last time he was this pissed, he took it out on the training dummies in the sparring stadium. It cost us a fortune to replace them."

"Yeah, yeah," Yang said as she let go of Harry's arm. "Where is he?"

"In town," answered Qrow. "I'm surprised you didn't run into him."

Yang took off back into town, her hair flowing like a gold cape behind her. Harry watched her go, then turned back to Qrow. He was looking at Harry with a peculiar look on his face.

"What?" asked Harry.

Qrow shrugged. "Did you have fun?"

Harry nodded. "Yes, we did."

"Did she tell you why she made the challenge?"

Harry blinked. "You knew?"

Qrow chuckled. "It was my idea. I'm the cool uncle. When Yang and Ruby have problems and they don't want to tell their dad, they ask me."

"And you didn't intervene?"

"Yang is free to make her own decisions. She's almost an adult now. And if she told her dad, they wouldn't find the bodies of those boys. Like yours's if you don't find a place to hide when Taiyang finds you."

Harry nodded and looked around. "Where's a good place to hide?"

"Follow me," Qrow said, turning into the training center.

Harry followed him back into the building. But instead of heading towards the gun basement, he made a left and followed the glass classrooms to the very end of the building. He opened the glass door the final classroom and motioned Harry inside. The room was spacious with a tall ceiling and white walls with divided panels on three sides of the walls. The final wall was the glass wall with a tinted view of the training floor they came from.

The floor itself was marked with white lines that made a fighting circle. The surface seemed to be made with a hard, rubber substance, like a tennis court.

"Before Ruby ran off with Tai, she mentioned she trained you this morning in firearms. She said you were pretty decent too for a beginner."

Harry nodded. "It took a while, but I eventually found my rhythm. Aiming a gun was no different than aiming my wand."

"If you say so," Qrow grumbled, rolling his eyes. "Speaking of which, Tai told me earlier you found your wand?"

"Yeah, but it's damaged." Harry pulled his wand from his back jean pocket. He was only keeping as a both a force of habit and to give a small sense of comfort, even with the damage. "The core is missing and my magic is…gone."

"May I?" Qrow asked. Harry hesitated, but handed it over. Qrow took the wand, then examined carefully. He twisted it in the light, rolled it across his fingers, and finally examined the burnt tip. "Seems like a normal piece of wood to me. And Tai also mentioned you couldn't get your magic to work?"

Harry kicked off his left shoe and took his wand back from Qrow. Taking a deep breath, he gathered up what leftover magic he had and pointed at his shoe.

"Wingardium Leviosa."

Just like last time, pain erupted throughout his body and a small amount of blue liquid leaked from his fingertips before disappearing. His shoe gave a quick jerk before rising a few inches off the ground. Then fell back down.

"What was that?" Qrow asked Harry as the boy struggled to catch his breath.

"A levitation charm. One of the first spells I ever learned. But like I said, I can't use my magic. The phoenix feather in my wand is gone."

"And yet, you can conjure up red-gold flames." Harry snapped his eyes to Qrow. "Tai told me your little trick the other day when he and girls were scanning you for your aura."

Harry did not reply. He held his hand in front of him and focused, bringing the warm flames that he had become so familiar with the past couple of days. He focused a little harder and his hand was quickly engulfed with fire. It slowly spread to his elbow.

"That's enough," Qrow said. Harry focused and the flames disappeared. "Yeah, I can see why Tai was surprised that that wasn't your aura or semblance. There's been only a few counts in history when a huntsman as any other abilities besides semblance or aura."

"Then what do you think it is?" asked Harry.

Qrow scoffed and crossed his arms. "Nice try, kid. While our legends pertain around monstrous grimm and legendary huntsmen or huntresses, we still have enough about myths and mystical creatures. Like phoenixes. Legendary birds of fire with strength and courage. That fire and what happened when you knocked Tai across the room the other night, I think I've got a good idea what happened to that phoenix feather."

Harry didn't say anything out loud. However, Qrow just guessed what had been on Harry's mind for the past few days. Ollivander once told him that wands choose the wizard or witch. Maybe wand cores have a mind of their own when they pick their owners.

And just maybe they can help give their users other types of magics as well.

The two stared at each other in silence for a few moments before Qrow sighed and sat back against one of the walls, pulling out his flask once again. "Okay, then, let's see you fight."

"Excuse me?" asked Harry.

"You said you were in a fight against dark wizards before you fell through some magical doorway and ended up here," said Qrow as he took a draught. He swallowed, then, "show me how a wizard fights."

"But I told you, I have no magic. It's going to look stupid waving my wand without any spells. happening."

"Just show me what you got, kid."

Harry groaned, then got into a dueler's pose: turning his body sideways to avoid spells, his shoulders back and spine straight, and his wand arm in front, ready to attack or defend. If he focused hard enough, he could see his opponent across from him. A Death Eater in full robe and mask. Using his imagination, he saw his enemy pull a wand and attack.

"Stupefy!" said Harry. While he didn't push any magic into the spell, he could almost see the red light shoot from his wand towards his attacker. The Death Eater blocked the spell and shot a curse towards Harry.

"Protego," said Harry, blocking the imaginary spell. "Impedementa! Expelliarmus!"

Harry and fake Death Eater exchanged spells and curses. The familiar swish, flicks, jabs and twirls of all spells he learned at Hogwarts was still second nature to him. Add that with intense training he did with the D.A., his body didn't tire out as quickly with the extra dodges and footwork he used.

But then,….

"Expelliarmus! Argghh!" Harry cried and dropped his wand. He silently cursed himself as he fought to regain his breath. He took the imaginary fight to seriously and pushed magic into the spell. Once again, his body failed.

"Dammit," he swore under his breath.

"That's enough," Qrow said as he stood back up. "I think I've seen what I've needed to."

"Which is what?" asked Harry.

Qrow didn't answer. Instead he pulled out his scroll and pressed onto the screen a couple of times. The wall behind Harry hissed and panels that divided the walls suddenly flipped around. The new walls were covered in a multitude of weapons. Swords, axes, hammers, spears, shields, and even some Harry didn't recognize.

Qrow walked over and took two, simple wooden swords from wall. He tossed one to Harry, then walked into the circle on the floor.

"Let's see what you can do," he said.

Harry looked at the sword in his hand. "You want me to fight you?"

"That's the idea."

"But I don't know how."

Qrow snorted. "Kid, just think of this as one of your fights."

Before Harry could answer, Qrow charged. He swung his sword towards Harry's side. Years of Quidditch practice and bad luck immediately told him dodge and he jumped backwards, avoiding the blow. Qrow swung again, this time towards Harry's head. Reacting on instinct, Harry ducked under the blow and rolled across the ground, coming up with his sword pointed at Qrow.

"You've got good instincts, kid. They'll keep you alive. Now, can you fight back?"

Harry gripped his sword a little tighter. Then he charged towards Qrow, aiming the point right at the man's stomach. Qrow easily blocked it and swing his sword into Harry's side.

"Haruumph!" Harry grunted as he fell to one knee. The wind was knocked out off him and pain made his eyes water.

"Well, you attacked to kill. Shows you're taking this seriously," Qrow started circling Harry as the boy tried to regain his breath. "But you're still slow."

"What do you expect?" Harry gasped. He used the sword to push himself back on his feet. "I've never been in a sword fight before. I don't know what to do."

"But you've fought against wizards. Fight wizards."

"How pissed are you right now?"

Qrow frowned. "I'm not angry."

"Drunk," Harry corrected. "How drunk are you?"

"Oh. Aways."

Then Qrow charged forward again. This time, Harry blocked the strike with his sword. Qrow swung again at Harry. Harry blocked once more. With each strike, Qrow became faster. And it wasn't long until Harry missed a swing that hit him in the knee this time.

"Bloody hell!" Harry shouted as he hopped around on one leg. "You call this training?"

"I'm a great believer in learning on the job," Qrow answered. He twirled his sword in circle then started scratching his back with it.

"No wondering I'm not learning anything," grumbled Harry.

"You don't need too," said Qrow. "You already know how to fight. Your instincts showed it. You just need to figure out how."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

Qrow instead got himself in a ready position with the point of his sword pointing at Harry's eyes. "Let's pretend you're not sword fighting me but fighting a wizard with magic. Just like earlier."

Before Harry could answer, Qrow rushed forward. His sword point at Harry's heart. Reacting on instinct, Harry moved his sword to block with a quick swish. Harry deflected Qrow's strike with a Shield charm. He flicked his sword around his hand to cast a Banishing charm at Qrow's hand. Qrow was quick to block his charm.

Wait a moment….Not my charm. My sword strike.

A thought crossed Harry's mind. I'm using the same movements for fighting instead of wand dueling.

"Ahh…Now you're getting it," Qrow said slyly.

Qrow struck again, aiming a slash at Harry's side. Harry's hand instantly mimicked the Levitation Charm. The swish blocked the strike, then the flick brought Harry's sword to Qrow's head. Qrow blocked. Harry then tried the Pin Transfiguration. The sword jabbed at his opponent, but once again was blocked.

The two then dueled. Harry lost all track of time with his fight as the seconds became minutes. Occasionally, Qrow would get in a hard shot, but they were getting far few in-between as the fight went on. Harry's wand waving was second-nature and it was slowly adjusting to sword fighting. And with each successful block and blow, his confidence grew.

Then, when Qrow tried a slice towards Harry's legs, Harry instinctively jumped to avoid the strike. It was then that Harry realized that it wasn't just his arms that had phoenix strength, but his legs too. The moment he left the ground, it felt like the world suddenly went in slow motion. He flew above Qrow like he was swimming through water. Harry saw the man's expression go from concentrated to surprise as Harry arced over the man's head.

Somehow, Harry was able to swing his body and legs around to land safely on the floor. Once his feet touched the ground, time seemed to speed back up to normal.

"Bloody wicked," Harry whispered.

"Well, that's something," said Qrow. "I didn't think that was possible for a beginner with no aura. Is this another secret? Like your fire and strength?"

"I really don't know," admitted Harry. The jumping might be considered from his strength but the time slowing down…he had no clue.

"But it took you a while to catch on what I was trying to teach you?"

"You could've just told me."

"Like I said, kid," Qrow smirked, taking out his flask, "learn on the job. And besides, it was fun bashing the punk who took my niece on a date."

"Pissed pigeon," Harry muttered, scowling at the man. Then ducked when he Qrow swiped his sword at Harry's head.

When Harry rose up, he realized he and Qrow were being watched. Ruby, Yang, and Taiyang were standing on the other side of the glass. Ruby was pressed against the glass and waved to Harry when he spotted her. Yang had her scroll out and was pointed at him for some reason. She winked when their eyes met. Taiyang was standing behind his daughters with his arms crossed. He seemed to have a small look of acknowledgement but changed into a scowl he noticed Harry looking at him. He discreetly drew his thumb across his neck, then pointed a finger at Harry. He gulped nervously, getting the message.

Ruby opened the door and rushed in. Yang and Taiyang followed her. "That was amazing. The two of you were Heeeyahhhh-Cha!" Ruby cheered, waving her arms around to mimic sword fighting.

"Thanks, Ruby. It didn't feel amazing though," winced Harry as he massaged his ribs. His knee was still throbbing as well.

"Once you get your aura unlocked, training will get a lot better," said Ruby.

"Yeah, it's like wearing armor that doesn't weigh you down," added Yang. "Protects you from the worst of fighting your opponents. But dodging quickly like you did earlier helps too. Especially the cool flip you did."

"But…I wasn't that quick, was I?" asked Harry.

"What are you talking about? You were almost matching him every time he sped up the fight," remarked Ruby.

"You were pretty quick, Harry," said Taiyang. "Even I will admit that."

"Really?" asked a skeptical Harry.

Yang wiggled her scroll between her fingers. "We'll prove it to you."

Later that night, after dinner, Harry was sitting on the front porch of the house. He was enjoying the night air and chuckling as he watched Zwei chase fireflies across the front yard. Harry picked up the cup of tea on the small table beside him and took a sip.

Harry once again helped with dinner, which left Ruby and Yang to do the dishes. Qrow and Taiyang were in the living room, discussing something in private. Ruby told Harry to take Zwei outside and enjoy himself after a rough day of training with Qrow.

His thoughts drifted to the video of his fight. Yang was able to send the video straight to the holo-tv in the living room so Harry could watch. Harry watched the video, then tried to argue with Yang the she somehow edited it to make it look more intense than what Harry expected.

The clip showed Harry and Qrow slowly adjusting to their sword strikes, then speed up as the duel continued. Their sword swings and strikes were soon blurring. Harry couldn't believe how fast he was moving. And he certainly didn't believe when he leapt over Qrow like a trained acrobat.

Harry put the teacup down and looked at his hands. Just what was happening to him?

"Still not believing it?"

Harry looked up to see Ruby standing at the front door, holding a cup of hot chocolate. She walked over and sat in the chair beside him.

"If I didn't experience the fight myself, I might say you got a stunt double to fight Qrow," he remarked.

Ruby giggled. "During the fight, dad said you had a lot of natural talent. And once the video is sent out, dad says you'll have no trouble finding a teacher."

Harry knew Ruby meant well, but he internally sighed. Both the punching record video and his fight with Qrow were on the net. Soon, he was going to be most likely famous again. Now that he accepted that he was starting his life anew in another world, he was hoping to avoid any spotlights.

The duo sat in silence for a few minutes, watching the fireflies. It was after Ruby finished her hot chocolate that he remembered what he was going to ask Ruby about.

"This morning, you were going to tell me why you and Yang were excited about your dad going on missions again?" he asked.

Ruby looked startled, then her eyes went down as her expression saddened. "Because it's been nearly twelve years since my dad went on a mission." She looked at Harry. "My mom, Summer, died when I was four. The thing was, she wasn't dad's first wife."

"What?" asked Harry.

"It was just barely a few years after he graduated from Beacon that my dad started a relationship with one of his teammates, Raven. And soon after, Yang was born."

Harry was shocked. "But I thought…"

"Summer was Yang's mom." Ruby shook her head. "No. Barely a year after Yang was born, Raven left. I don't know what, but she abandoned dad and Yang. Summer, my dad's other teammate, helped my dad with Yang. It was only a couple of years later that they both got married and I was born."

Harry frowned. "Then your mom disappeared."

Ruby nodded and wiped a single tear that was rolling down her cheek. "Dad fell into a deep depression afterwards. He just stayed locked in his room most of the time. Yang took care of me. Just as much as a sister and mother. Uncle Qrow tried to help as much as he could, but he continued on his Huntsman missions to support both him and us."

Harry reached over and took Ruby's hand in both of his. He rubbed her hand gently. "I'm sorry."

Ruby gave a water smile and wiped her tears away with her free hand. "Thank you. But dad did eventually come back. He and Uncle Qrow eventually took teaching jobs at Signal. And now, he's finally going on missions."

Harry smiled with Ruby. The two stared at each other until a loud tapping noise broke them apart. Harry swallowed when he saw Taiyang in the window, glaring at him. Ruby just smiled and waved. Taiyang waved back but didn't smile. He then turned away and said something Harry couldn't hear. A few seconds later, Qrow stepped outside.

"Kiddo, your dad says it's time for bed."

"But it's only nine," Ruby complained.

Qrow only shrugged and smirked. "I'm not the boss. He just said bedtime and something about not losing another one to the intruder."

Ruby just looked confused, but Harry blushed. "Really," Harry remarked.

"But-"

"Head on up, kiddo," Qrow stepped away from the doorway. "I need to speak to Wizard Boy."

Ruby picked up her empty mug and walked back inside, Zwei following her. "Goodnight, Harry," she called.

"Goodnight, Ruby," Harry replied.

Qrow took the empty seat. He pulled out his flask and took a sip. But when he capped the flask, the chair beneath him collapsed into a pile of splinters. Qrow groaned with frustration.

"Are you okay?" Harry asked.

"Just fine," Qrow remarked. He didn't even bother getting up. "So, Magic boy, still want to be a Huntsman?"

Harry scowled at the nickname but answered. "I wasn't sure earlier, but now, I do."

"I need you to be sure," Qrow said, his voice taking a serious turn. "This is a decision that will affect you for the rest of your life, even if you find a way back to world. Being a Huntsman means always being there to protect innocents, regardless if you enemies are Grimm or human. It means long days of fighting, walking, little sleep, even little money. You'll gain friends, enemies, lovers and you'll also lose friends, enemies and lovers. It's about being a protector, even when each time you fight might be your last. Still want to be a Huntsman?"

Harry didn't answer. He thought about all the times he had been in those situations. The sorcerer's stone, the Chamber of Secrets, the Triwizard tournament, the Dark Forest, the graveyard, and the Department of Mysteries. He thought about Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, Luna, Sirius, Lupin, Cedric, and Hagrid. He had gained friends, but he had also lost them. He didn't know if his friends were alive since he fell through the Veil. He made mistakes and had paid for them.

But as Hermione said, he had a saving-people-thing.

And if there was anyway to repay everyone who helped him by becoming a Huntsman, then he would in a heartbeat.

"I'll do it," Harry finally replied.

Qrow looked at him for a moment. He must have believed Harry because he nodded and stood up.

"Stand up," said Qrow. Harry stood up. Qrow placed his left hand on Harry's shoulder and his right hand of Harry's chest. His body seemed to glow with a maroon color.

"For it is with courage that we achieve victory," said Qrow. "From this, we become an ideal for harmony and balance. Unbounded by mortality and endless in love, I release your soul, and by my will, free thee."

Harry felt a rush surge through his body once Qrow finished his incantation. His suddenly glowed just like Qrow, only it was the same golden-red flame color as his eyes and fire. But then it started to flicker and grow, turning Harry into a glowing inferno. Then, it seemed Harry could hear the joyous cry of a phoenix song echoing through him, lifting his soul.

Soon, just as it appeared, the glow faded away. Harry suddenly felt stronger. Healthier, too. But then Qrow bent over, gasping for air.

"Are you okay?" asked Harry.

Qrow took a deep breath and straightened back up. "Just fine. I've used my aura to unlock yours. You've got a lot of it, too. It almost wiped me out."

Harry looked at his hands. "My aura?"

"We don't have time to train you until unlocks itself. Signal Academy opens in two months, so you need everyone moment to harness your skills and study. And the best way to do that is to learn on the job."

"What do you mean?" asked Harry.

Qrow just opened the front door and motioned Harry inside. "Go get some sleep, Magician. We got a long day of traveling ahead."

"'We'? Taiyang said you would be going on a mission for the rest of the summer."

"He's right," grinned Qrow. "And you're coming with me, my apprentice."
