Title: Finally gonna meet this SOB

"And if the plan doesn't work?" I ask, rubbing my neck, Grandpa's knife hadn't gone deep but it was probably going to scar.

"Well, it depends on how bad it goes but, worst case scenario, I'll get in trouble for trying to help you." Ruth shrugs at my questioning gaze, seeming unfazed. I can only assume two things: one, the punishment wouldn't be too bad; or two, more likely, she believes she could take it as long as it didn't kill her… which makes more sense with how I found her.

"And me?"

"He'll either kill you, erase your memory and try the test again, or leave you here." A breath left my lips at her statement delivered in her nonchalant tone.

"Is this really the test I should be cheating on then?" I jerk when she places a hand on my shoulder.

"Relax" she says calmly, lightly massaging my shoulder "he's just gonna test you a bit. He wants you to join him. It's gonna be really hard for you to fail since he already knows most things about you. He probably already figured out that I'm going to help you somehow."

I exhale and shake my head. "I can't believe that I have to stake my life on the 'just be myself' bullshit!" She laughs and shoves me, sending me stumbling. I managed to catch myself on the door, pushing them open before she could give me another push. The 90 degree heat from the outside was blown away by AC.

"Minoru, it's so good to see you again. How have you been?" Jackson's voice echoed across the empty restaurant, making me stiffen in response. I've never been in this restaurant before but from the eastern dragon statue's, the myth painting on the walls, the jade balance fountains to the side, Oh and the giant golden chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The whole thing just screamed wealth. I bet this is the kind of place that puts gold shaving in their food.

Honestly, one look at this place had wallets all around screaming with the amount of money that must have been burnt to buy it out for a meeting. Speaking of cost, his outfit was also speaking of big money to me. Beside the gold and black suit he was wearing, he also was sporting 3 golden watches on his left wrist that were set to different times. And on his right hand he had a ring, which I would bet is the type you dip in wax and stamp on letters.

Damn, this is a bit of a flex for a mere test… must be the same for everyone, can't see him wasting this style for me. Not wanting to keep him waiting, I quickly sat down in a wooden chair covered in some fancy designs that seemed quite tacky in my opinion. He takes a moment to scrutinize me and god damn why are his eyes so intense? It was all I could do not to sprint out of my chair as his multicolored eyes scanned over me with the vehemence of a hammer of dawn. He gestures at me to relax, which we both quickly realize wasn't gonna happen, causing him to let out a breath. "Well, aren't ya just stiff, ain't ya? Well, how 'bout a stiff one for the stiff?" The man signals for a bottle that looks like it could swallow my wallet as an d'oeuvre. The bottle itself was a deep orange color, The label around it was pitch black with a series of bronze runes on it. The bottle was opaque but I could make out that the liquid in it was a thick Danburite color. Ruth supplied it to him without delay. "Why don't you drink with us?" he says, shaking a bottle he had Ruth hand to him.

His accent is changing with every word. My mind was trying to figure out if that was another flex or just his nature. The man starts to angle the bright orange bottle, offering its contents to me. "Sir, I'm a minor," I say, flinching slightly as the taller man leaned forward and shoves the whole bottle in my hands.

"And pray tell, who cares about that?" he asked with an odd smile. "Your bloodline? Everybody two generations before you are departed and even then, considering how they treated you like dirt, their opinion shouldn't carry an ounce of significance. They've shown their true colors, and it's crystal clear that their judgment holds no value. Don't waste a second pondering their words; they're nothing more than empty echoes of ignorance and malice. You deserve far better than to be influenced by the poison they spew. Hold your head high and let their pathetic opinions fade into oblivion."

I blink as he pulls out Chalices, three honest to god chalices, and sets them on the table. "You're a street rat, someone who lives and dies by your own actions on the harsh streets and even more notably you're an ex-hero student. If the country is trusting you with its citizens then it should be able to trust you with a nice Henny, now shut up and drink." Punctuating his statement by karate chopping the top off my bottle, cleanly cutting it off. "Drink." He demands.

I stare at the bottle, still trying to understand how he broke it so cleanly with just his hand. Ruth told me that his hair is where his quirk is, but his skin is also changing color so she might have left something out. Deciding to presume it was a skill and pushing the thought away, I slowly poured the liquid into my chalice, filling it a fourth of the way before stopping and taking a sip. I pause halfway before pulling my head back and downing it attempting to finish the fast. Instantly the taste of something rancid and sour with a texture that made it feel as if the drink was adhering itself into my tongue. Ruth manages to catch my cup, stopping it from spilling as I grab my stomach. The feeling of hot stomach acid floods my taste buds. There was no time for sounds or actions, just disgust as anything, everything came barreling out of my mouth. Ruth tilted my head to the side before any of the disgusting fluids could get on the table. My arms buckled against the hardwood, as I tried to hold myself up. The world was spinning. Then the bile came back involuntarily, spilling out of my lips. I could hear Jackson chortling at the display.

"The hell was that?" I wheezed, drool dripping from my lips as the tremors in my stomach slowed. The taste coating everything.

"Lacrimis Doloris." Jackson answered, refilling my cup and placing it in front of me "means 'tears of suffering' in Latin, most just call it bitch juice." Ruth turns the bottle so that I can see that indeed that's on the drink label.

"This is the latest version, we use a series of genetic plants that make this stuff."

"I can't get the taste out of my mouth," I say, coughing like a cat trying to dislodge a hairball. "It's coating my throat."

"If you think it's bad in your mouth, you would hate to feel what it does when you try to wash it out." he shivers, a light smile still plastered to his face. "The reaction with water would knock the socks off your esophagus." Not a poison, at least I want to say the thought made me relax, but my gut ripping itself apart made that impossible.

"Why?" I guttered out.

"This substance contains a series of thioacetates that react with water in a manner similar to skunk spray." Jackson explained to me as if he was teaching a class on the topic. "If you attempt to drink water to wash it down, you'll inadvertently trigger production of more of the compound." A cruel smile crossed his features, his eyes peering into my own. If I hadn't already unloaded everything in my stomach had to offer. I would be doing it now. "Fun right?" Sadist. He breathed in as if he was going to continue.

"Why would-" a small cough left my throat, bringing up the sour taste... "You give that to me?" I cut off whatever he was about to say.

"Now, now. I wasn't done yet," he dismissed, ignoring my death stare. "It also has some other chemicals in it that will cause it to heat up in contact with water, so not only will drinking a sip of it cause the whole process again, you're also gonna end up flowing from both ends if you drink more than a pint," he says proudly. "So even if you were to run off now, you wouldn't be able to drink 90% of anything until your body works it out by itself or risks starting the process all over again." He looks at Ruth, "I know I'm being a little dramatic about this all but I'm just so proud of it, isn't it just grand, Ruthy?"

"Indeed it is, sir." Ruth replied, ignoring the look I shot her. "Also sir, I believe Mineta had a question."

"Oh, you do?" Jackson looks at me as promptly, I start to scrape the coating off of my tongue with my teeth. For a moment, I swiped my teeth with my finger to see a brown gunk. Worse off, it was sticky. Gross! Quickly, I flicked it into the remains of my breakfast on the ground, shuddering at the idea of having that gunk in my mouth for days.

"What's your question?" When I open my mouth he cuts me off, "Wait! I'll go first since I'm the host." I glared at Ruth and him. I took a moment, letting out a breath. Then I waved for him to continue. "Excellent!" he says, locking his fingers together and resting on them. "Now tell me, Minoru, this feeling, is it familiar?"

"What are you talking about?" I guttered out, Ruth said it would be easy so it has to be something I can catch while actually choking on this shit.

"This feeling." Jackson continued, smiling from ear to ear, His perfect white teeth showing my reflection in his wide smile. I was even more annoyed when I realized that I could actually see my reflection in his teeth, like polished platinum. "Your arms straining to hold yourself up, your knees wobbling, the idea of standing making you want to hurl more than you already have." Sure enough, the idea of standing up fully makes my stomach turn like a washing machine.

"Come on, this has to be familiar? Isn't that vile taste in your mouth ringing any bells. This feeling of drowning, watching as you sink further and further away. And you can see someone above. Maybe they could help you but they just watch you suffer. And finally you let that vile filth enter your mouth. The image of them turning their back like everyone else, finally you let go. Does that sound familiar? I'm sure it does." Jackson was enjoying watching me struggle, gasping for clean air. I could barely stand and here he was mocking me. Is that how I'm supposed to see it?

Along with the feeling of giving up was now anger, but I couldn't do that. Ruth told me that getting angry at Jackson was like slapping a mountain. Best-case scenario, nothing happens. Worst case, an avalanche buries you in a freezing hell, and I know. Truly I know; Grandpa was proof of that. He tried his luck with Jackson, and now… My granddad was sitting in a generic nursing home, in a ward, with nothing of the man he was. What he meant to anyone and if this goes wrong. I will be joining him. You know it's a test, Ruth told you how it would go. Stay calm. Jackson's test probably involves patience or something.

"Drink." He motions at the cup. "Drink and remember what your life was before."

My quivering stomach and my foggy mind both wanted to give that order a big fat finger, but at that moment, Jackson's eyes turned on me. My arm was already trembling as it reached for the cup again. Is that a bi product of his quirk? Or is it just his eyes? Is this what Midoriya meant when he talked about the look Stain gave him. Not gonna lie, kind of wish it was Stain in front of me instead of this… being paralyzed by that blood licking psycho seems much tamer than this man, my very body and possibly my soul had a deep comprehended that my future, mind and very perception of being quite possibly depended on this man's disposition.

I tried to make eye contact with the odd man as I lifted the cup Jackson gave me, but the weight of his gaze forced me to cut the connection after a moment. I glare at the cup before pulling my head back and downing the liquid. I managed to complete one gulp before it came exploding from my eyes, mouth, and nose.

The feeling of the floor crushed against my hands and knees. I was on the floor, dry heaving, my body continued to reject the liquid despite it no longer being in my body. It was white pain.

"Whoa," Jackson cheered, seeming thrilled. "How much do you think he drinks?"

"Maybe a third," Ruth said, and even through my eyes, which were closed in pain, I could feel her crouching by me. "Though he sprayed most of it from his face" She tugs on my shoulder trying to help me up but I just clench my stomach and let out a mewing sound. She squeezes my shoulder 3 times before standing up. Doing okay, keep it up

"You're doing better than most," Jackson said when I eventually got back to my knees. My gut bulged and I pulled myself back to a semi-standing position "Most people will be on the ground spewing their guts out" I give a pointed look to the throw-up on the ground "I mean they would still be doing it, you were only down for 3 minutes. Although to be fair, you're used to swallowing other people's shit."

I grit my teeth and glare at him. The image of throwing the cup into his face flashes through my mind, and I let it play out for a couple of moments before I speak, turning to the members of this meeting.

"Ruth, this is an odd way for him to be asking me to join your spy movie club," my voice hissed out angrily.

Jackson's face twisted to one of shock. It looks genuine. If Ruth hadn't spent all that time drilling me with the descriptions of his fake expressions I would have bought it. What worried me was that this particular expression from Ruth's description ment this face meant something along the lines of Impressed but suspicious.

"Is that what she told you?" His deep voice vibrated in my ear, shaking my thoughts. It was a threat, but not to me, to Ruth. Fuck! I fucked up. A miss step that somehow I would need to clean up. The older man's eyes peered deeply into the woman who avoided his unreadable gaze.

"Oh, Ruth, my dear girl. Please tell me you didn't lie to the poor boy? Didn't I teach you better than that?" Ruth's eyes rolled and she shot him a face that seemed to say that yes, that was exactly what he had been teaching her but he had already turned back to me. "Minoru there's been a misunderstanding. I apologize, truly for my second's words but I don't particularly want you for," He put up air quotes, "my spy movie club as you say."

No. No! You're lying. I did everything. My thoughts ran rampant as my anger grew. But I couldn't let him know he was getting to me. This was a game of chess with high stakes. There would be no do-overs. I attempt to not let it show, avoiding Ruth's all seeing eyes. She wouldn't tell me all of this, she put me through all this for a fucking prank. I gritted my teeth still feeling the grime and spit on the back of my mouth, drawing out a low groan. This would not be the end of it even if I had lost him then I'll just have to pull him back.

"Why?" I asked

"Why what?" He asked back, Ruth crossed her arms and seemed to relax completely as Jackson's attention fully moved to me . Jackson snaps his finger as if he had an epiphany about the source of my growing anger.

"Why did I call you over to this dog and pony show, ya mean?" Jackson finished for me. "Well, while personally, you supply the same importance as a lump of pig flesh." He paused looking over at Ruth, then from the corner of his eye he looked back at me. "Behind your grandpa, who was of much more importance even to a minor amount. And even though he's gone, may Satan curse his soul," he said the last part while making a reverse blessing simply with his hand. "You're just here so I can decide if I'm gonna need my ax or not..."

He moved his hands in a sudden axing motion, it took me a moment to catch on to what he was insinuating. "Cut down the family tree, correct?" I finished for him. He smiles seeing that I had connected the dots.I try to play it off with a raised eyebrow even as my hands tremble slightly. "Well if that's true then I guess I should be honored you came personally" I stared down at my cup trying to calm the rising dread by staring into the disgusting liquid.

"What? Ruth didn't explain that part at all. I'm sure this comes as a shock, I know it would be a bit cruel to kill you but leaving loose ends always causes problems in the future, but with how pitiful you are I doubt you will-"

"You're lying," cutting off his unneeded monologue with narrowing eyes.

"Hmm?" Jackson tilted his head and shifted his posture to suggest I had his full attention. "Why do you say that?"

"Don't forget I was there with your talk with my grandfather. From the text I caught from Ruth's phone, you were planning to kill him when you walked in."Jackson shot Ruth a look but I waved a hand to re catch his attention "You're more relaxed here and you're not even using a Japanese accent either. Also this stuff" I say pointing to the bitch juice. "I don't know you that well but you could just poison me if you wanted to be rid of me."

He didn't say anything so I just shrugged and kept going, "If you really didn't want me you could of possible would of killed me the same time my grandpa's head hit the floor" I point at him confidence growing as my words make more sense to myself "so why don't you stop being a-" I cut my self off as Ruth suddenly looks at me eyes flashing like amber-tinted steel, backtrack backtrack backtrack "why don't you stop treating me like a joke." I weakly reflected. "You're not gonna kill me or else you would have already done it, you're not gonna erase my memory for the same reason, so the only other thing this could be is an interview which means for some reason you want me for something."

"Do you think my theoretical interest would protect you?" Jackson flowed over the table scaling over it with more grace and speed than I could even react to. Before I could even think of reacting he had already grabbed the cup, pulling my head back, pushing the brim to my closed lips.

I tried to push back against his strength to get the substance away from me. "If you are sure that I know everything about you, then why do you believe that you will survive this meeting?" Jackson asks with his other hand seizing mine as I try to shove him off.

"What makes you think I want anything from you other than your immediate death?" he continues using the lip of the cup to pry my mouth open.

The liquid was forced down my throat, leaving me attempting to gurgle out words but they were barely audible. A chuckle came out of Jackson's mouth. He looked at Ruth in humor at the poor attempt at Japanese speech. Jackson wanted to know if she understood what I said. She simply shook her head. With a sudden release of his grip, I collapsed to the floor, retching noises following as my knees hit the ground.

"You really gotta be careful of what you put in your stomach, young one," he towered over me, enjoying the show.

"Be-" I throw up again. "Becaus-" again, "Because you're testing me," I finally choked out. "This drink you keep forcing down my throat." My voice was raw as I was still gasping for air. "It's supposed to trigger every bad thing in my life, right? Every time I got scared? Every time I let someone walk over me? The feeling of someone holding me down and forcing shit down your throat?" Looking directly into the well-dressed man's eyes.

"Yes." Jackson was pleased, his eyes had this shine to them.

"I remember all of those times. My mom's abuse, my dad's negligence, and both of my grandpas' sins. I remember every single drop of crap I had to swallow." I pulled myself back onto my feet. "I remember every time I go back up on my own two feet despite all the pain and bullshit I had swallow."

"I couldn't help but notice that you didn't mention your friends."

"What Friends?!" I replied quickly. "It's just me, myself, and I."

"Really? If I remember right, you're the one that left UA."

"UA left me."

"Nonsense," Jackson waved a hand, Dismissing my statement. "You were a short distance away from being a pro hero. Japan is a small country but not that small, you could have gone to the other side of the country and never glimpse any of them again."

"It wouldn't have made a difference." Jackson's pleased eyes started to drop as I kept talking. "The trust in heroes are fractured a-"

"Excuses." He rolls his eyes as Ruth starts to fill the cup again.

"What?" I asked.

"You're making excuses, it's high school. Even if none of those children are your friends but you threw away opportunities and now you're at my feet. You were part of the class that fought AFO. No one would have questioned you. You could have been loved wherever you went. Hero is just a title."

"They would have tol-"

"Told on you? Like the pro heroes told on Endeavor? Do you think no one knew what Endeavor was trying to do? And yet no one said anything in the heroic golden age. The faith in heroes is the strongest and weakest it's ever been, they're not gonna ruin one of their golden eggs, especially with no proof. Heroes are the new Greek gods, and none of the gods were good." His voice raised with each word."So, I will ask again, why did you leave UA?"

I narrow my eyes at him, only for them to widen as he goes to take the cup from Ruth.

"Cause UA would never be able to give me my dreams."

"Oh? And what dream was that?"

"To have girls to tou-" The cup smashes into my mouth this time, Jackson holding my back as he pours.

"Mmrpgpg mrmr Fuck you!" I yelled before my stomach started churning before practically imploding.

"Don't bullshit a bullshitter" He chastised me. "If you wanted girls, staying a hero was the easiest way to, especially a hero from the class that predominantly saved Japan. Girls would have been fawning over you."

I somehow manage to snort while choking and he rolls his eyes. "Yes, I know, not all girls. Looks are a factor most people will focus on, but you know quite well you would have gotten more girls than you will by becoming a gutter rat on the street. So why did you leave UA!" he didn't raise his voice but it was getting more firm as he kept asking the question.

"Couldn't fulfill my dream there…"

"Good, alright, I can work with that. Become a hero and put your life in danger for… ?"

He stares at me as I try to figure out what to say.

"I wanted gi-" He side-eyed me, raising the cup threateningly, his face saying that he would beat me with the cup this time. "I wanted people to like me!" I raise my arms slightly

He looked at me expectedly.

"I wanted people to like me, hell I wanted them to love me because no one has ever loved me. Yes, I wanted to be worshiped. Yes, I wanted to be lusted after. I wanted someone to see me, to need me. Is that a fucking crime?!" I didn't realize my voice had started to raise until it hitched at that last question.

"No." Jackson cracked a real smile, like he could see me. Someone that could see me for what I am and just maybe could accept that fucked up being. "No, of course not. Everyone wants to be desired and liked, but as for lust and idolization, well that's just being young and horny.

At my silence and raised eyebrow, he keeps going. "You seem quite happy with where your life was, you weren't worshiped, popular or anything like that bu-"

"But I was liked." I finished, sitting back down on my seat with a sigh. "I had people who cared for me, people who liked me and fought with me and then they left me."

"You left them." Jackson countered.

"They accused me of doing awful things." I returned.

"Which you never did to them?" He put the ball back in my court.

"Nothing that awful!" I say exasperated.

"True… true, they did accuse you of awful things, but can you say without a shadow of a doubt that they had no reason to?" I opened my mouth, but Jackson raised an eyebrow. I stop to consider it.

"No, I guess they did have reason to accuse me."

"Indeed they did."

"But they had reason to believe me as well, didn't they." I ask, my eye itching. "I've stopped doing that for a year now. Like, yeah my eyes wander sometimes but I've worked on not letting my thoughts Leave my mouth and my hands have not wandered."

"Indeed you have, you have given them reason to believe you. The question now is what are you gonna do about it?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, as I see it, you have a couple of options," he holds up a hand. "One, you can ask UA to let you back in and finish your time there. If you keep your nose clean, you could become a good hero one day." He grinned at the look on my face. "By that look, I assume that option is not the most appealing, is it?"

"Fuck them"

"Ay, yes, those wounds might be a little too fresh to ignore." I glare at his teasing, and he shakes his head. "I imagine they would, betrayal from friends hurts the most, especially for someone who never had them before." he seems to get lost in thought for a moment, "And then there's option 2."

"Which is?"

"You start anew," he spreads his arms. "You become one of mine, like Ruth here, though not as useful I imagine." I stare at him before shrugging accept his point causing him to chuckle. "You join my little academy and become a different kind of hero on a much bigger but more subtle stage. You will do stuff in the open and behind the scenes, the public will see you as a hero across the world and the shadows will know you as one of mine. And as a plus, no matter what choice you pick, I'll give you a hand in fixing those little problems going on in your head."

I blink at what he said, looking over to Ruth to confirm, "You can fix me?"

"Of course I can, a little hormone imbalance and a running mouth is a little minor thing for me to fix, what do you say?" he says, handing me his cup this time. I take it, swirling the liquid as I think about my choices.

"Even if you fix me, will that change anything if I stay here?"

"It could, it very well could, but not in the way you hope, I'm afraid." He shakes his head. "Your friends already have their minds set about you and it's not like you were still directly perving on them before this so they'll just notice that your eyes stopped wandering."

I nod my head with a sigh. "I thought so… if I go with you, will I... will I?"

"Be loved? Be popular?"

"Be accepted." I say with a nod. He laughs, taking another cup that Ruth has handed him.

"That depends on you but I will say this, if you accept my offer you'll be looking at a second chance, a blank slate." He spreads his arms.

"You will be open to the best and the worst of the world, its horrors and its wonders. You'll see more than most, and you will like half of it. You will laugh, you will cry, but I promise you one thing, you will have a better starting point than you ever did here."

I raised my eyebrow. "I helped fight one of the biggest super villains in the world."

"No, you fought the biggest fish in your pond; All For One isn't the only power-stealing quirk user; there are about 30-50 of them worldwide and 7 are on or above his threat level." I paled at his words. The idea of fighting another one of those monsters made my balls curl back into me.

"Why don't we ever-"

"Hear of them? AFO had the lucky break of being believed to be dead and hailing from a time when crime ran rampant. He was older than me and made almost as many connections, but even then, the damage he did was manageable. Stars and Stripes nearly ended his little revolution in a day, especially if she waited for the top heroes of other countries to back her up. The main reason he got so far was because he stayed quiet enough to gain momentum."

"Countries like America, China, Russia, and the UK have populations 10 to 20 times that of Japan's. They need to know who has what quirk, and it's not like quirk stealing is even the biggest problem on the villain table. Want to know one of the global threats in the world right now? It's a 13-year-old Nigerian boy whose father beats him. His quirk is called Accurate Control; he could have looked at AFO and had his heart shut down or made his dozens of quirks rip himself apart. His quirk is site base has no range and can be channeled through binoculars. This kid can kill thousands of people in a minute, including all your All Mights, your Endeavors, and as stated before your AFO. There are quirks in the world that can melt your understanding and give birth to uncovered fears."

I blink as I process those words. I always thought Mr. Aziawa's quirk was bullshit in a way, there is no way to tell it's hitting you until it hits, and the range is the human sight. The idea that there is someone with a stronger version of that was disconcerting.

"Really not the best pitch." I point out "hey come join me, you know the monster in human skin you fought and barely defeated with the help of all the countries best heroes? Yeah we fight those everyday"

"Just making sure you are aware of what you will be doing. I can take you with me. You will see the highest and the lowest of humanity, and you will act in both of those circles. You will see the worst of what some could imagine, and you will save countries from their worst nightmares. Sometimes, you will be praised for your efforts; sometimes, no one but the dead will even know you were there. You will be pushed to your very limits and then a little bit more, but you will find yourself. You will get away from this place and be able to make your own little cut in the world. I will do my best to help you find your place in the world." He gave me a grin. "Your life hasn't been easy, and it won't get any easier if you take this deal, but I will promise you one thing: you will get results that might not be the ones you are looking for, but you will never feel stagnated. You actually go Plus Ultra."

I blink in surprise "You an All Might fan?"

"Plus Ultra is Latin, it was a thing before All Might or America took it for a slogan, another plus side, you'll be much more informed if you work for me. You won't believe how many people think Plus Ultra is just something All Might came up with. It came from the holy roman emperor, it was his motto an-" he pauses as Ruth gives him a look. "Sorry, got carried away. Anyway, are you in or out?"

I closed my eyes and leaned back with a sigh, though I don't know why I even bothered. I was planning to take his offer anyway. Nothing he had said to me had been different from what Ruth had already told me, but some part of me still flinched and paled at the idea of leaving Japan, leaving my home, my friend- don't be stupid, you don't have a home anymore, it's a bunch of ash and your friends want nothing to do with you. I breathe in, remembering Denki's words before he left me, remembering the look he gave me when the accusation came out, the lack of trust and the disappointment. I breathed in and out and in until my lungs felt like they were about to burst, and then I slowly breathed out, letting all the anger, the hate, the hurt, all of it flow out of me, at least for now. After all, I was about to see the world; there was no reason to drag all that baggage behind me. Finally, I let out a sigh and nodded my head, lifting the cup. "Then, if you don't mind, I'll follow you guys if you'll have me."

"If I wasn't gonna take you, this conversation wouldn't be happening now, would it?" He shoots Ruth a look. "I thought you said he was smart."

"I said he was clever and he figured out you were testing him."

"Oh please, how long were you amping him up and giving him tips?" Ruth's face didn't even flicker as she was caught. "I expected you to give him tips, but even without it I could tell that he would discover that I was testing him. If he couldn't, I wouldn't have let him join in the first place, it wasn't like I was subtle." He looked at me, "Now Minoru, if you're working for me, there is one last thing I ask you to do when it comes to Japan."

"Forget everything here?" I guessed.

"No, of course not," Jackson waves his hand. "The past is important. After all, I want you to take all of those emotions, the Rage you feel, the shame, the joy, take all of those and learn from them and use them for me. I'm asking you to do something that humans find so hard to do sometimes and learn from what has happened, face everything, and rise."

"Fear?" Ruth says with a smirk, "will that be his principle?"

"Yes I think it will."

"What are you talking about?" I ask, looking between them.

"Oh, when someone joins my academy I give them a personal code, an abbreviation that they use to make their own morals while working with me."

"And you chose fear for me?" I say with a sigh.

"Sure, wouldn't you say that fear is something profoundly connected to your life?"

"Fair enough," I say, disappointed but not surprised. I let out a hiss as Jackson's hair hits me in the arm with the speed of a whip.

"Now don't you start looking like a sad sack because of it, you can make your code whatever you want with a little bit of creativity!"

"Fine, fine, whatever, so how do I do this?"

"Most of the swears and other binding actions will be done at the academy but for now, how about a toast to your new life?" He raises a glass, which I copy in return.

We both drink, Jackson dodging to the side with a laugh to avoid my throw-up.

"You bastard!" I growled, holding my stomach.

"Hey, you're the one that forgot what was originally in that cup," he laughs, catching it as I throw the cup at him. "Ruth, will you be a dear?"

Ruth grabs me gently and steadies me on my seat, pulling out a vial. "This will deactivate it," she says, handing it to me. Deciding that they probably wouldn't fuck me over again. I drank it down and immediately sighed as my stomach stopped feeling like there was a washing machine in it.

"Here, this is Legacy by Angostura. It's a type of rum," she says, putting another glass in my hands.

"Still a minor," I reminded.

"You're gonna learn real quick that the rules of the outside world don't work in the same way while you are under my employment," Jackson says, earning a chuckle from Ruth. "How about you use your first use of Fear to signal this toast?"

I blink. "Ah, dang it, alright um," I rub my chin. "Forever Enjoying Any... Remembrance?" I say after a pause.

"You're going for a 'thanks for the memories' kind of thing?" Ruth asks, thinking about it. "It's a good start."

"It will do," Jackson says, lifting his glass. "Forever Enjoying Any Remembrance."

"Forever Enjoying Any Remembrance," we repeated, knocking the cups together.

The dream ended like a TV losing signal as I awakened. A moment later I remembered what had happened a moment later. Ты шутишь! I know I'm class T, but being captured is getting old really quickly. Yes, being captured is up there in the class T playbook. Honestly, up to two members get captured every three missions, mostly because people love to gloat when they think they have you locked up. But normally, you have a backup or at least a partner nearby, to watch your back and bust in if it really hits the fan.

Even though she was limited, Azrael being around was more of a reassurance than I could have imagined. Is she still here? Keeping my eyes closed, I take a slow, deep breath, trying to take in all my damage, only to pause as I notice I'm currently feeling the best I have in a while. If she is around, it wouldn't matter since, in this condition, I wouldn't be able to perceive her... I guess whoever this master is, was nice enough to heal me.

My thoughts were interrupted by a tugging feeling in my stomach. Fighting the natural instinct to open my eyes, I try to determine the thing tugging on my stomach. It took maybe 2 seconds to figure out what the thing was, and more importantly, there are more of them. Tentacles, not tendrils because I could feel suction cups as they traveled across me. 15? No 12, there are 12 of them, and they seem to be feeling me up. For some reason, they're also secreting something. My body was covered in a thick oil-like substance that was numbing and cooling my skin to its touch. Is it applying diluted anesthesia? No, I don't feel tired, and I doubt it is a toxin, so it's something to numb me and possibly heal me. Since the creatures that captured me were Nomus, it was safe to assume that this is one as well, which makes the idea of fighting this creature firmly in the 'plz god no' section. Alright, so this thing is probably fixing me to meet the master, or maybe this thing is the master. A Nomu squid seems to fit the–what is it doing?

While I had been in my head, one of the tendrils had been heading south before lifting off my body once past my taint. What is it doing now? Oh, alright, I get it. Samidare must have damaged my balls more than I thought. The idea of a tendrils rubbing on my balls was... complicated, to say the least, but hey, there are hundreds of hentai about it, so it may not be so bad.

I was in the ballpark, but while I thought the tendrils were going for first base, apparently, it wanted to go for a home run. Now, when you think of it logically, it makes sense. I definitely had many internal injuries, and the tendrils are leaking something that is healing me. Assuming that the medicine can't sink all the way from my skin, it would need a way to directly deposit it into my body. That doesn't mean I was happy when the tendrils shoved itself into my ass. Now, with GA training, I might have managed to not move and keep up the ruse of being knocked out, but the tendrils assault had broken my concentration, which meant I wasn't anywhere ready for when the second tendrils shoved itself in my throat. I jerked up a curse on my lip muffled by the thic- nope not using that word by the thing in my throat.

At that moment, the creature seemed to realize I was awake and removed the tentacles. It took a moment for it to pull out, probably so it didn't damage anything, but that was a solid 3 seconds where I was in the second most confusing spit roast of my life. Once the tentacles exited me, I rolled away from the creature and started hacking up a lung, letting out a shrill sound when the tentacles soundlessly moved closer to me.

I point at the offending limbs. "Back the fuck up!" I say, drool leaking from my mouth. While the vault was good at holding trauma, being... entered like that reminded me of not the best situations I've been in. Stabilizing myself, I stood up fully to look at the tentacles that had thankfully stopped at my shout. Looking up, I flinched as I realized that my little friend was bigger than I thought. The room I was in was big, about the size of a classroom that could hold 50 students, and it seemed to be carved of marble, which let me see the monster truck sized ball of flesh sticking to the ceiling.

I stare at it for a moment, really breathing in the sight. While odd, this wasn't even the top ten oddest things I've seen. "Can you understand me?" I ask the thing, flinching when its purple flesh ripples. "Is that a yes?" Another ripple. "Can you talk?" Two ripples. "Okay, we got yes and no to figure out, and you can't talk so I can't ask real questions." Two tentacles bend in a shrug motion. "Great, alright first question, am I healed?" One ripple. "Great, next question: do you work for the master?" One ripple. "Awesome, alright, is the master around?" Two ripples, causing me to groan. "How long till he gets back?" Eight ripples. "Eight minutes?'' Two ripples. "Eight hours!?" One ripple. "Why god gotta do me like this? Alright, next question: The two I came with, do they live?" The creature shivers, and then, to my horror, its flesh ripples like water, and a familiar face exits its body with a popping sound.

"Samidare?"

"Mineta!" The frog boy's eyes widen as his face contorts. Apparently, he was straining to break out, but the tentacle ball did not even seem to notice. "What the hell is going on?" I guess being eaten by a flesh monster has chilled him out a bit.

"No idea, I just woke up." I look at the creature. "Are you healing him?" I ask, earning another ripple. "Is the other with you?" Another ripple, and her face was revealed as well. "Ah, Ms. chef, how are you-"

"Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh" her scream was cut off as she was sucked back in.

"Has she been doing that for a while?" Another ripple. "Is that why she is there?" Another ripple. I look at Samidare with a raised eyebrow. "I can't see you screaming like a little bitch so I'm assuming you tried to escape?"

He glares at me, but the tentacle ball ripples to agree. The chef girl freaked out and possibly made a run for it. The frog got involved, and they both absorbed them to stop them.

"How does it feel there?" I ask the frog boy.

He glares at me for a couple seconds before sighing "A warm jello straitjacket." He replies, "Or maybe a ground meat tunnel."

I nod and look at the center of the ball. "If I don't try to run, can I stay out?" There was a delay followed by one ripple. "Awesome, if they play nice can they be let out?'' Two ripples, I guess you get one chance before getting sucked into the hentai ball. "Alright, am I allowed to walk around the room?" One ripple was all I needed to start testing out my body slowly.

Hmmhhh damn, maybe I was too quick to knock the tendrils treatment. I let out a moan of relaxation as I went from a Camel pose to a Vrischikasana stretch, then settled into a sleeping turtle pose. I felt too good for someone who just had something unwanted in their ass. "Damn haven't felt this good in a long time doc."

The tendrils approach me again, taking my words for confirmation to keep going, but a quick head shake calms it down. Interesting the healing method doesn't seem to have given me back any mass, but it seems that my holes heh wounds and cracks have been 'filled out' without any scars. I've also been rejuvenated to the extent that my muscles are softer and more relaxed than I had before.

No scars, which means my skin and nerve damage are fixed, and how there is no pain as I'm moving around points to my internal troubles to be handled as well. In fact, everything is fixed except my arm (which has healed over nicely) and my semi-emaciated state, which a gym and some food can handle.

"Can you add muscle density as well?" I ask the flesh ball, only to sigh when it ripples twice. "Hmm, can you repair muscle damage?" I ask, getting an idea once it gives me a ripple. "How long does it take?" 5 ripples. "Minutes?" 2 ripples. "Hours." One ripple gave me a wild grin. "So if I work myself to the bone and you heal the damage, I'll be able to gain muscle mass, correct?"

There was a moment of silence before the orb gave me a slow ripple, like it was nervous to give the answer. Yes, there was more to good muscle gaining. I'm not even sure if this thing supplies proteins or the other things needed to gain mass, but god dammit I want to stop looking like I should star in a starving-people-in-another-country commercial. "Perfect, all right, are you willing to help me? I'm assuming the master wouldn't mind this since I'm not trying to run or anything. Again, the slow ripple made me leap in joy. "Thank you. Thank you so much!" Taking a moment to calm myself, I concentrated and thought of a code in my mind: Code 277: In Jackson's Name: Wine God Dance. My mind twitched as the vault reacted; my body's blood flow started to speed up, and I dropped on all fours and started to do push-ups. While there were plenty of downsides to allowing Jackson to be the deity of your mind, the perks easily counter them out. As my body started doing programmed workouts by itself, I retreated into my vault to figure out the next step… or rather, steps.

The second I entered the vault I noticed that something was different, not wrong, just different. It's bigger, why is it bigger? My vault was normally a black void with memories floating around in the form of orbs of light that can connect to each other sometimes. And while a black void might feel endless since it is my mind, I can actually feel where it ends. So why is it bigger… What does that even mean? This was new and never was talked about in vault training and even if it was, I'm one of the few people that use this formation for my vault… actually that reminded me. While vault formations were used for cosmetics, different formations were better for specific actions.

Closing my mental eyes for a moment, I concentrate for a moment before the void around me changes, empty nothingness becoming sticky wood under my foot. Looking down, I realized the reason the wood was sticky was because it was covered in blood.

"Didn't concentrate on a specific room, did you?" A familiar voice asks me.

I turn and give a GA salute to the broken man slumped in the corner, though I shouldn't have, because the real Sargent Jace was long dead. This copy was just scenery, just like the rest of the bar.

"Yep." I reply, simply closing my eyes to try again.

"Don't bother now that you've seen me, you're gonna distract yourself by thinking of me." The mental copy of the class A member shrugs, causing the wound nearly bisecting him to reopen and begin gushing with blood. "You need help figuring out what is wrong with your vault, right?"

"I need more help than that.'' I muttered while sitting down and nodding when he handed me a drink, I down the Strawberry Daiquiri hearing the rest of the Jace's Squad get up from their final stand.

"Brings back memories?" Private Hyde asked me, ripping the parasitical mask from his face with a grunt. if only it had been that easy in real life.

"You are all memories." I say shaking my head and solidifying my thoughts. "You're all figments of my imagination, copies of brave men and women that fought with me and died in my 19th mission to liberate Dallas, a mission that resulted in the death of 3000 class A members includ-" the way they were looking at me made me pause and then I realized what they were waiting for me to realize. "A mission I should not remember because of my vault restriction."

"I knew you could figure it out." Private Janes slaps me on the back with enough force to nearly knock me off my seat. "See, we can help you!"

I shot her a look before remembering she was not real and sighing, "Alright so how much can you guys help me?"

"We're your mind, Mineta." Jace said with a tired sigh, idly trying to rebandage his bisecting wound. "We already know what you need us to do, just let us do it!" I blink at that word before sighing and waving a hand, instantly, the team moves with the same efficiency they did in their lives. Most of the team went onto their phones. I could somehow tell that they were going through my memories and vault parameters, even if they can't fix what was wrong with my mind they could at least help me figure out somethings. Meanwhile, Jace refilled our drinks and sat by me being my idea bouncer.

"Alright, what do you want to start with? The gang is handling vault issues, so who did we get? Roofy? Jackson? This Master that has you? Gonna try to run?"

"Doubt it, escape is probably a no-go, I have no idea how many of these things are around, depending on how far my muscle re-creation goes and I'll see how the chips fall. This Master obviously wants to make a deal."

"The question is, what is the deal? Is he an enemy of this new group or is it unrelated, does he know of the GA or is he going for you just because you're a criminal? They mentioned Spinner as well." I nod along. "But you should at least think of a getaway plan if you have the time."

"If these things are anything like the Nomus from my youth, then any plan I come up with ain't gonna mean shit." I wasn't giving up on fighting back, but until the master shows up and I can figure out what is happening I'm not gonna do anything stupid, especially since he has 3 Nomus that he was willing to send in the area with more than 10 heroes.

"That's another thing to think of." Jace continued on with my thoughts as if I had spoken them. "One of the top 10 was there, and this master still decided to send a team in there. That could mean a couple of things, like they're his stealth force or, more worryingly, they are strong enough that those numbers weren't a problem."

"Or worse" I point out "he has more than enough that numbers aren't a problem." I bit my lip on that thought, an army of zombie superhuman quirk users ain't what Japan needs. "Either way, leaving in my state might be possible but I would rather not test it yet. The biggest thing I have to figure out is the Phoenix Tree.

Jace pulls out a pen and paper out of nowhere, "Alright, let's go down the list and hammer down what you know. Let's start with the classic 5 Ws."

"Oh, we're in middle school now?, alright then." 'What' was probably the most known and unknown, Phoenix Tree was some sort of secret government force or organization that has partly taken over the government. They are nationwide and possible worldwide since they know the academy at the very least. They have connections which match the phrase "Our Roots Run Deep".

Jace nodes and puts the paper on the table.

"What they are doing is a bit tricky, country domination would be the best guess since their controlling government branches" I tap my finger on the counter "they may have world domination on a bigger scale but we need to know more."

"Not sure If we or rather you should stamp them with 'world domination' scale yet, it's a bit far-fetched for an organization with that much weight to spend so much on you"… though we don't know how much they're actually spending on you, since they seem to love herding heroes to you."

"Even if they are spending a lot on me, that doesnt me that they are not trying world domination." I consider his words ``But they do love having others do their dirty work, oh, and they also might be involved with the hit on the academy but there is no proof of that, and it wasn't mentioned. They know of the academy, but the faker never mentioned that they fought it before, though he seems to know something of it."

"Azeral also didn't mention it, though there could be another reason for that." I pinch the bridge of my nose and breathe out.

'When' is basically just time stamps, I have no idea when this plan started. When they took over the government, when they were founded, there were a lot of when's that I didn't know. It might be better to figure out What I actually know.

My thoughts are interrupted by the sensation of a tendril wrapping around my physical body.

"Looks like your friend's getting real touchy," Private Barbosa laughs as I link into my senses, letting out a sigh after confirming it was just rubbing all over me, probably to continue the healing process.

"You gonna tell him to stop?"

"No," at his look I hissed at him. "If I do have internal injuries then I should let it fix it."

"Riiight" Hyde dragged the word out laying an arm around my shoulder, "that's why you gonna let it keep going" Hyde wiggled his eyebrows laughing at my raised middle finger.

"I suggest tuning out your outside senses." Jace warned. "You're good but if that thing starts back where it started I don't think you're gonna keep your focus."

I groaned at Jace's words before quickly doing it when I noticed that the tentacles were indeed heading to my biological equators. I went back to work, trying to ignore the hoots and hollers of the class A squad mates commenting on what's happening to my body. Stop being embarrassed, they're parts of your mind getting caught up on nonsense. I groaned as the thought didn't manage to help. My cheeks darken as I realized Samidare probably watching what was happening…well that's worse for him than me.

To start off simply, they're here in Japan, maybe worldwide if they're causing problems with the academy. The not so easy part is, I have no idea where they are located in Japan and won't have a way to find out until I can find more of them.

"Now the big question is Why?" Jace pointed out "Why did they kill Denki? Why did they want you? And Why did they decide to kill you a year after capture?"

"All good questions." I say, this was an odd system, hard to remember that I was really just talking to myself but it was… helpful.

"As for Why, best idea I got is the vault or GA information they think they can get from me. It's also possible that they just want me because I'm a GA agent and they think I'm gonna get in the way, though if that's the case, the change between capture and kill they had on me is odd and points to something happening in the outside world that I will have to learn more about."

"Really hope this master got some information for you and I hope the price for it ain't that expensive." I shudder at Barbosa's words not even wanting to think about that.

"Alright" Jace refills my class "let's line the problems up, the boss man Big J is missing, and possible dead Mark somehow managed to skip Ruth in the line of succession, the GA has no grip on japan, PT has some sort of plan which requires the GA being removed so it has to, at least, be a coup on some level. They also possibly want to learn how to create a vault, they also have some way to affect groups of peoples' memories to an unknown extent, basically meaning they can do a lot without getting the public attention and they seem to have members in the government, heroic and police systems."

"They also must've made some mistake while I was in the country, I love Denki but he was no detective, one of their agents messed something up and Denki got a sniff."

"They might have killed him because he was close to you, a GA agent."

"Doubt it, Denki was a well known power pro hero and he had close connections with some of the stronger people in japan, even if you're confident, you don't risk a mistake like that just to frame me, hell, it would've been more believable that I killed any other hero beside Denki, there are already heroes that don't believe I killed him myself and instead got him killed. They're hiding too much and not giving enough false evidence. The idea of someone messing up seems to fit more. If they know I'm a GA agent Tartarus would've been a better prison but The Pit is out of the public and heroic eyes, not to mention the delay between my original capture and execution attempt." I let out a groan and scratched my head. "Either they are playing me or we could be dealing with an idiot that is trying to fix his mistakes."

I hissed as I grappled with the possibility of problems I didn't have an answer for. It made me want to go back to the memories of Denki's death and my arrest to see if I can catch anything, maybe even go over the days leading up to those moments but no, that would take days, weeks of going through memories. And as frustrating as it is I might have to bite the bullet and just accept that I don't have all the puzzle pieces.

"Hey fruity patootie." Janes says walking over to me.

"You know I outrank you now." I say as she sits by me.

"The dead don't have to follow the rank of command, also I'm you so suck it, anyway before you forget maybe you should look at your new quirk ability, seems useful."

Oh shoot, I forgot. I roll my eyes as Janes shoves her phone in my face. To be fair, I just unlocked it and the night has been pretty hectic. I narrowed my eyes at the screen before realizing that she was showing the fight with the Daughter Of Stain and Samidare.

"When you're in this state it's harder to get dragged into memories but you'll still get the damned feelings from holding the phone" I blink at her words, not sure if I actually knew that piece of information. Well to be fair, these guys are pulling from all over my mind, not just the parts I remember concisely. "At least this part of the vault is still working" I grumble going over the memories.

Going over the two memories, I take a moment to actually look at my quirk evolution. Honestly I sort of expected more.

"Pretty simple honestly, basically one orb grows under the one already there without me having to pluck it. Compression and potential energy basically take it from there."

"There's something else happening as well, they're not sticking to each other." Jace pointed out and I paused, realizing then none of the said orbs had really stuck to a target they hit. "I'm assuming the sticky covering is absorbed back into my head before launch, though a bigger question is what else is happening before it fires. Because of the damage input, my orbs don't normally have enough force to send people tumbling." Unless Bastion or Wendy throw them, my orbs hit with the force of dodgeball. This might be another case of my quirk working by instinct, making a denser hairball.

"You do realize that you're gonna have to train with this when you get more muscle mass, yes? If you can increase the fire rate or even the power, this could rehaul your whole fighting style.''

"Of course, but on the point of new powers, what about these two?" I swipe the screen a couple of times pulling up the moments with faker cop and Mt. Lady.

"Baccus Barrier and Dionysus Defense." Janes pipes up.

"Not asking for names, also those won't work."

"What, why not? Godly themed names for godly defense."

"Godly is a strong word."

"They aren't directly grape themed."

"Those two are the gods of wine... the only two I can think of."

"Osiris." Jace replied holding up a finger "Lakkhos,Silenus." he raises fingers as he lists names.

"Shakra, Renenet." Janes adds on, nodding when the sergeant holds up 5 fingers at me.

"Most of those are plant related, not legit grapes." Hyde points out.

Jane groans at the response and waves a hand, "He needs to spread out to berries anyway!" She complained.

"I'm not looking for names." I say again louder but I did have to wonder why I still bother with grape themed moves. Nostalgia? Or maybe just a lack of creativity? A question for later. "Those two moves, what else do we know about them?"

"Nothing much so far." Hyde sighs looking at his phone. "They're both instinctive moves, basically they're both grapeskin shoved up to the max to make a full body cocoon, the former sticky and the latter bouncy."

"Was the bouncy one a quirk awakening?" I asked

"More like a quirk limit pushed past it. You didn't do anything that was unnatural, you just went plus ultra. I could be wrong though, you'll need to test it when you've got the time. Maybe relive the memories of those moments to see if you can retrigger them."

"Hhhmmm, so this Grape Cocoon"

"Dionysus Defence!" Janes cut in.

"Grape Cocoon!" I said cutting her off. "Is probably only gonna be useful as a last ditch effort. It burns too much hair and hampers my movements. It also has the possibility of blowing off or ruining any gear or clothing I have on it, as for… Grape Cannon or Grape Launcher, that's definitely a good momentum changer.

"Oi, ya gonna want to look at this." I turned to Private Maeve, surprised she could talk. The mask that had begun to consume her face in her life was still there, suckling away. Although it also bore the hole her gun had left when she ended her own suffering. I shake those thoughts from my head as she walks over, nearly tripping on some blood and shoving a tablet in my face. "You're free."

"What?" I ask, pushing her back a bit to see what she was showing me.

"You're free, jailbroken, unbound. Your vault ain't vaulting right, your restrictions aren't restricting enough." That got my attention as I snatched the tablet from her hands and read over it.

|vault (altered) |error ### EC|visualization| 100% 3) |viewing room| 100% 4) |hallucinations projection| 100% 5) Zone Online 6) |Body control| Online

Well, at least I can confirm that something's happened to my vault. The altered warning was enough but an EC after an error means the vault went through something and fixed it itself which means that whatever problem came from the vault alter was fixed, but now this altered state of my vault should be assumed to be the new base factuality unless stated otherwise.

If I had to bet, this is Jackson's doing. Something from wherever he is. Even as I say that I'm aware that I have no real proof that these were his actions which was getting really annoying. Screw it, if the problem is fixed and I can't "change it", I won't bother myself with worrying over it.

While the vault is useful, I can turn it off and still survive till I have time to delve into what is happening.

"So my vault has been changed in some way but still works? What was the cha-"

"Are you daft? I already said the fucking change." I hiss as she grabbed my neck and squeezed, her other hand swiping on the screen till it displayed one word.

Restrictions

I stare at the word and the list under it, waiting to see what she was on about till one of the phrases disappeared and just faded off the screen. I blinked then blinked again before looking at Jace who was staring at the screen over my shoulder.

He sees my look and gives me a shrug, not even saying anything as he downs the rest of his drink. Though the way the glass was slightly cracking around his finger shows how rattled he was.

I feel like I should be more surprised. Actually, scratch that, I know I should be astonished. Vaults always have restrictions depending on who you are, what class you are in, and Jackson's personal preference.

Said restrictions can be removed by higher classmates, teachers, Jackson and class M members when it's needed for different missions and situations.

After a moment Jace speaks up "They seem to be unlocking randomly but all 12 base type restrictions, your 4 class T type, Hell even the custom restriction that Jackson's brat put in. They're being released randomly but-"

"My restrictions are slowly becoming undone," I say dryly looking at the list.

Artificial memories holding information and techniques, mental maps of thousands of buildings and places I might never see, blueprints of weapons and tools that I could never even think of creating, histories and secrets of countries and governments…

"Anything being locked up?" I ask.

"Nope, terror tactics, chemistry, gun working, acting behind enemy lines, everything you already had is still there." I breathe a sigh of relief at her words.

I chew on what I just realized, a couple minutes idly swiping through different restrictions to take in the detail. "Class R members' list." I say.

Instantly, the list scrolls down to ask for selecting a symbol of a lock flashing over the screen. Even as the lock flashed on my screen, I could see cracks slowly appearing on the symbol.

"I'm gonna be able to see class R members." I said dumbly. "The restricted class, Jackson's rumored eyes and ears across the world, I'll be able to list off every single GA spy / agent."

The class A members all look at each other. It was already odd for me to know the amount of class M members that I did. Only reason being my relationship with Jackson, Jason, Roofy and Azrael. But class R is different, seeing one member of their ilk that even admits to being in that class was rare; they were part of the trinity of classes, the class that lets Jackson know all and see all.

"Still think Jackson unlocked this for you?" Jace asked me as I stared at the list that would one day allow me to change the rules. "This is a good enough reason for the Phoenix Tree to want you."

'A.I. creation'

The phone reacts to my words scrolling to the requested subject, most GA members have access to one of the GA's A.I. but those are mostly dumb A.I. and are restricted in what they can do. There are people like Eero who can make their own A.I. that are given certain liberties and restrictions but the knowledge to make an A.I. is somthi-

my eyes trail over lines and lines of coding that would take years for me to read. A lot of them were limited while others were not.

'Drug creation '

Didn't have many restrictions in this section normally but I could instantly tell that I had less.

'Russia rebel safe houses'

"Remember that safe houses and maps are at least a year out of date because that was the last time your vault got updated. Hey, that might be a way to tell if this was actually done by Jackson or not!" I ignored the mental copy words as I scrolled through location and location and the small summary I could read.

My arms start to twitch and Maeve has to catch the phone before I drop it.

"Mineta?" I wave off Jace who had leaned over to look at me. the bar slightly shook at my aggravation.

"Jackson you idiot, you absolute moron. Please tell me you didn't give me all this! why would you put this on my plate!"

Even as I talked to myself I scrolled on the phone when Maeve put it back into my hands.

"Military codes"

lists of codes went through my head, most will probably have been changed in a year but that wasn't what mattered.

And so much more. Yes, most of the information is outdated but that's still Terabytes of information on tactics, skills and so much more in my head.

"Forging"

List of videos scrolled on the screen, bullet making, sword forging, welding and so much more.

"Stupid stupid stupid!"

"Poisons"

Nerve agents, scentless gasses and more flashed on screen.

"No no no…"

"Hypothetical politics"

One of the more impressive parts of the vault, using memories and known information to make super assumptions to predict how political figures and governments would most likely react. It was something that I didn't understand and had long given up on figuring it out. It was also probably useless at the moment since most information was a year old.

"This can't be happening."

"Knife work"

"You can't give me all of this."

"Body program"

"Damn you"

"Memory alteration"

"Damn it!"

"GA archives"

The phone smashes into the wall, the glass shatters as I lean against the bar, sliding down it to wrap my arms around my head.

"Mineta you have to calm down." Jace warns me

Jackson put all his pieces on the table, if he did this he gave me the full vault! I don't even know if Ruth and Mark have this much unlocked. I was really Jackson's terror at this point but it has some drawbacks. Everything had drawbacks, Frailties Exist Across Realities. I wasn't sure if Phoenix Tree could break into a locked vault but I can imagine that it would be harder to get into an unlocked vault. If they get me, if they break into my vault they'll have everything Jackson has given me. It's not just the end of the GA, they'll have tactics, skills and knowledge that has been collected from over a thousand minds' info on the world that I'm not even comfortable with Jackson having. They will be able to do anything at that point.

A hand clamps on my shoulder and I jerk up to look into Jace's eyes. His amber eyes had to turn into familiar black eyes from my own face. This wasn't Jace, it was a mental copy of him from my mind but the familiar face was still comforting.

"I know you're freaking out, I can feel you panicking."

"You are me." I say earning a chuckle from the memory of the soldier.

"Indeed I am, which is why you know what I'm about to say to you."

"It's time to get up."

"It's time to get up!" He agrees, grabbing my arm and pulling me to my feet.

"Whether it's Jackson or something else that did this, you have to deal with it."

"I don't know if I can do it, I'm facing a government!"

"You've done it before."

"I had my team with me."

"Then wait for them." I look at Maeve who rolls her remaining eye at me. "Azeral said they wouldn't be able to help you for a while, that means sooner or later they will be in a position to help you."

"You want me to run?"

"Not the first time you've run for the right reason, Denki is dead," I sigh at her words. "Avenging him doesn't have to be right now. You can leave the country or find a hole to live in until the academy's ready to back you up." She sighs at my face, "but you're not gonna do that, are you?"

"Fortitude Empowers Adaptive Responses." I said earning a snort from Jace and a pat on the shoulder from Janes. "We have no idea what PT wants to do. Not sure if I can just step off the field and let them have the board to themselves."

"You don't know what they're doing."

"No," I agree, "but I bet the master does."

"Ah, Foresight Enables Astute Readiness." I nod at Jace's words.

"No matter the reason, be it Jackson or PT, time is on my side right now. The longer I wait the more the vault undoes itself."

"The more PT might be able to steal." Maeve warned.

"True, but I have more I can work with." I take the time to look over them all to remember who these men and women I fought with really were. "Jace, I'm gonna take a page from your book and MIND."

"Meditate, Investigate, Navigate, Decide" I nod and he grins. "Well, at least you learned something from me."

"I have an unlocking vault, my own mind and hours before the master is here to talk to me." I stretch my arms. "I have the one thing these 바보's have been denying me since I've gotten out, time. Time to think, time to plan and time to figure everything else out. It's been about a month but now I can actually figure out what my next step will be and how I'm gonna pull Phoenix Tree up by its roots.

"So, where do we start?" Jace says, now I wanted to say something awesome and inspiring but I was cut off as my body seized up by my neck being constricted from an outside force. Dampand senses or not strangulation is something I rather not ignore.

"Rain check." Was the last thing I heard Jace say as I ripped myself out of the vault. My eyes open and all I see is red, and not the red of anger. Bright scarlet scales wrap around my head like a demon themed Hijab.

"Hhrrgghh?" My hand grabs the offending object and tries to pull it off. Then, what I realized was a tail, unwound from me. Thankfully because in the second it was holding I quickly realized that it would've likely broken my head like an egg long before I could even fantasize about bunging it.

"Are you prepared to meet the master?" A voice asks as I fall onto my knees, wheezing. After catching my breath I took a moment to look at the Nomu which I was pretty sure was the one that knocked me out.

The first thing I noticed was that she pissed on the known Nomu color scheme by being red instead of gray or black. She was also a she, which was semi-rare in the Nomu's from the past, or at least it was hard to tell.

Red scaled skin and no hair, she seemed like the average human female till you got to her legs which looked like a mix of Chun-li from Street Fighter and a T-rex. I got a closer look at said legs when one of them grabbed my face. Quick reminder, I have no idea where this creature had been walking but I do remember that I originally met her in a sewer line.

"Get your Jurassic Park feet off of me!" I grabbed what I assumed to be her ankle but, just like the tail, it was impossible to move the dang thing as she, in one fluid motion, lifted me to my feet.

"Come, the master awaits." Her monotone voice rings in the room before she spins on a talon and marches off. I turn and look at the tentacle ball.

"Does she always have a stick in her ass?" I took some solace in the singular ripple the orb gave before Samidare reminded me that he existed.

"Mineta, what is going on?"

"Wish I knew frog boy, I wish I knew."

"The master is waiting, if you do not start walking within the next 3 seconds I will assist you in moving," something told me her helpful hand would come in the shape of many… many fists.

"Can we take him too?" I ask pointing to Samidare.

"He will be brought if the master wishes for it to be, the same master we shall keep waiting no longer." Her voice was still emotionless but I could tell that I wasn't gonna get any farther with her until I started moving. "Talk to you soon." I tell Samidare, giving the tentacles a wave as I jog to catch up to Red.

It's not something I have noticed at first but one of these Nomus must have had an earth moving quirk because of how huge the opening is. The room I had been in and now the tunnel red was leading me now, everything was a gray material that had a ceramic feel to it. The tunnel was wide and tall enough to drive 5 BelAZ 75710 dump trucks side by side with room to spare. "Why is everything in this place so huge and where is the light coming from?"

It was something I didn't notice in the room but even though there were no light bulbs or any source of light I was able to see everything with the same clarity of a dimly lit room.

"One of my siblings energizes the air with her quirk, it allows all to see."

"Her?" I say straining to catch up to her, "so you perceive yourself with genders?"

"The master considers me a female so therefore I am one."

"Do you consider yourself human?"

"I consider nothing of the sort."

"So you consider Nomus a different species?"

"Do you not?"

"I consider you tragic most of the time, corpses of people turned into… beings." I quickly changed my first thought from monsters.

"You consider me a tragedy?" Red yellow eyes gave off light for a moment and she glanced over to me, "a pitiful soul in a sad situation?"

That's a trap if I've ever heard one.

"Perhaps not you, just the Nomus I've met."

Her glare dampened. "Ah, ignorance then, it makes sense you would pity a sickly dog but know that you stand in front of a wolf." with that statement she sped up forcing me to jog to catch up with her.

"Hey! that was a metaphor!" I said in surprise. Intelligence was one thing but wit was something I've never seen in any type of nomu. She still had the inflection of a wet napkin but still. "Wait, I thought-"

"It might do you better to not do that as much." She cuts me off. "It seems like that has gotten you in a lot of trouble as of late."

"What? I'll have you know that thinking has not been the reason life has sucked for- hey, wait up!" Apparently not in the mood to listen to me, Red had decided to accelerate, forcing me to have to speed up after her.

After about 10 minutes of walking, I realized that the tunnel was getting colder and at rapid speeds. Why couldn't they leave my clothings in the cave? I thought to myself as I was trailing behind red, then I noticed something. "Wait a minute, why the hell do you wear clothing?" She turned to give me a look that, even with her reptilian like features, I recognised as the female look of 'the fuck you say?'"

I quickly continued, ''Most Nomus I saw didn't wear clothings… actually now that I think about it, the first Nomu was the only one I personally saw that had pants."

"Your explanation doesn't explain your surprise."

"You're the first sentient Nomu I've met that wears them! Normally the LOV had to dress their nomu's themselves and they stop doing that after a while"

"Well, most of the lower types of Nomus didn't have the mind to care for clothing. It was up to their creator to clothe them, the master allows us to wear what we wish and this is what I wish to wear."

"You're a Nomu, do you even feel the cold or warmth? Do you have a sense of modesty?"

"Modesty isn't something me or the master cared for much."

"Then why the jeggings and the tanktop?"

"Isn't it you humans that invented the idea for style?"

"Oh."

Her eyes glow as she looks at me. "You have something to say?"

"Nope, I understand that you live in the sewers and all so you can't find clothings with matching colors."

Her narrowed eyes tell me that I did something to annoy her and I decide to stop talking for a bit. That was until my body remembered that the room was getting colder and I still couldn't see the end of this tunnel anywhere in sight.

"Speaking of clothing, pretty sure the master would want me to have some, don't you agree?" It was warm enough that frostbite wasn't a big problem yet but being naked in this situation was asking for hypothermia if I kept it up. Red ignored me and then ignored me some more after I asked her a couple more questions. Finally after another 10 minutes of walking and cold, my muscles were starting to lock up. "Hey lizard legs," I say, teeth chattering, "how much longer to get to the master?"

"It will take less time if you could move faster." She replies, the cold didn't seem to be bugging her.

"If your master knows so much you know damn well why this is hard, also how far are we going for?" I had assumed that the master would come to me or, if not, then my guide wouldn't be having us keep a decent jogging pace for over 20 minutes in this temperature.

"The master knows more than you can even imagine."

"Oh I very much doubt that."

She stops and I pause. While I am sure the master told her to bring me to him I don't know how many emotions she has and if he would be upset and beat me into a flesh sack.

"The master has been kept waiting long enough." She turns to me, "I will accommodate for your frailties."

"I wouldn't call th-" before I could reply she leans forward and grabs my arm and pulls me over her shoulder. And now I'm a sack of flour. I wont say that my time free from the pit has been very pride-filled but being naked and carried by a female that honestly seems like she would walk over me instead of even acknowledging me. I grunt as she readjusts my position on her shoulder, basically slamming her shoulder into my groin.

"Hey, watch it!"

"If the position of that external appendage is unpleasant to you I will re-adjusted it if it means no more interruptions to get to the master." She holds up a hand displaying black crystal-like claws, her point clear what readjusting would detail. I wisely decided to shut the hell up. Once she was sure I had been cowed she crouched forward. I briefly felt her grip on me tighten and feel the muscles under me tense up before she suddenly blasted forward. I grit my teeth and hold on to her shoulder, the sound of air whooshing past my ear complimented the thundering sound of her foot stamps as we zoom down the hallway.

20… 25… 38… 45… I began to get slightly worried as I mentally calculated her acceleration. After 5 minutes of running at what I calculated to be somewhere around 90 miles I realize that either she was waiting for me to bitch out or they think a lot of me. How big is their base? If I'm right about the speed we moved almost 8 miles in one direction. Another concern was the cold. We had gone from late fall cold to midwestern winter and slowly getting colder. The wind chill and the fact I have no clothing is making it very hard to not start shivering over Red's shoulder.

"How much further!?" I yell in the nomu's ear only to growl at her ignoring me. "Hey, I bet the master didn't tell you to ignore his guest?"

"Don't be so arrogant to assume the mas-"

"Oh my god!" I cut her off with a growl, "just tell me how far!"

"Far enough for momentum to take you the rest of the way!" I blink at her words until her grip tightens for a moment before shoving me. My breath catches as I watch Red get farther and Farther away.

"You Red Velvet Bitch Stain!" Was all that came from my lips before my back smashed into what felt like thick jelly. Thankfully whatever it was slowed down my deceleration instead of trying to catch me and making me go splat. Some sort of thick air quirk, I can still breath it but I'm also not descending. After another 3 minutes of this situation I slowly come to a slow descent in this thickish air. It was during this time that I finally got a good look of the area. The stone floor had been replaced by a see-through material. My first guess would be glass but I could see that it had some sort of stone-like texture. Under the glass was water, black and deep enough that I couldn't see the bottom of it. This stone doesn't look natural and neither did the rest of the stone making the tunnel, it might be possible that this whole base is underwater. Finally gravity seemed to have slowly overtaken whatever had been holding me and my feet had finally made contact with the ground. Cold and rough, felt like lightly sanded rock but was as clear as glass.

"Could've warned me." I sniped at Red who was slowly descending herself. "Also, is your base actually underwater?" Where the hell in Japan are you that you had the time to make this with no hero seeing? Well, this master seems to fit the same motif as old cartoon villains." I raise my head and raise a voice, "you got sharks with lasers as well?"

"He has us." The voice didn't so much enter my head as it came from the ground and rattle itself into my bones. It took me a moment to even understand what was said and another to understand where it came from. Bending down I peered into the water trying to see in the black depth. "I see this master has made aquatic nomus, are you here to lead me the rest of the way?"

"The master is busy right now so he decided to let me talk to you...since It was my sister that let you out."

"Yeah well, she hasn't been much of a talker." I say pointing to Red, I had no idea if this thing could see me but I assumed so.

"Not that sister silly, the one that got you out of jail, or I guess you used her to get out of jail."

My eyes narrowed as I peered into the water "Is she the nomu worm I've heard so much about?"

The voice let out a hmm sound of agreement. It was then I realized that the voice had a feminine tint to it but it was hard to tell since from what I could tell it was talking by sending vibrations through the water, ground, and my body directly into my ears.

"Is your sister here?" I asked, I'm pretty sure Sakura said that the worm had been taken down though one never knows. Also since these nomus do seem to have some sort of emotions I rather know now if one of them has a grudge against me.

"No, the master is regrowing her, she won't be around for a couple more months."

"Uh, I'm sorry to hear that." I replied though in honesty one less super nomu that takes ten heroes to takedown is A Okay in my books or ...it would be if I was still on the hero side.

"So will it be hard for you to take up your sister's job?" I asked.

"Not really, I am bigger than her after all." It was then that she made herself known. Okay so how do I explain this, alright first thing I say was just yellow, just yellow, the black water became lemon yellow and glowed. I squinted my eyes at the brightness. Then the brightness dimmed, or at least I thought it did but no, apparently she had noticed my discomfort and backed up, and I do mean backed up, but let's get back to that in a moment. Now that I could see her whole body, let me explain the first part was that it wasn't just her eyes glowing, there were veins on her body that glowed like the bioluminescent fish you see in the deep sea. Shows how I was able to see her. Alright next imagine a woman, like say Mt. Lady's build, black hair, yellow nomu eyes, deep green fish scale skin. Not worried yet? Alright, now make her 80 feet tall, you heard me, this thing was almost the size of Gigantomachia. The only reason I could see her whole body was because she was angling herself so that I could see her whole body, or rather most of that. Oh yeah, this ain't the scary part yet, alright now this is where it gets impressive. Her yellow eyes narrow in what I assume to be concentration, and the rest of her body starts to glow. Alright now have any of you guys seen the Spongebob episode where they're dealing with the Alaskan Bull Worm and Sandy thinks she can take it and they go to the cave and she fights it but then realizes that what she fought was not in fact it but only the worm's tongue? I think you can see what I'm getting at. Also I know it's been over a century but watch Spongebob If you get the chance its eternal.

"Nomu worm my ass." I mutter, eyes trying to count the yards of van size teeth that surrounded her second mouth? Real mouth? The bigger mouth lets stick with that for now. "Nomu Apophis, maybe Nomu Jormungandr more likely." I wanted to ask her to move so that I might be able to see the rest of the coils of her body but I was honestly worried that her shifting would cause the water displacement to break this little base I was in.

"You're uhhh ...um…" I tried to think of something to say, I really did, but I'm not explaining how big this being was. Yes in the GA I've had to fight big things but they're normally measured in stories. This thing, if this thing was less than a mile long, I would eat my balls.

"I'm…?" she tries to coach the answer from me, a smile on its face. Oh, and another thing, this thing is smart. Yes the high end nomus had intelligence and Gigantomachia wasn't a moron, but this creature was talking to me casually and had enough emotion to be amused by my nerves. Let me just mention that at this point, any ideas I had on escaping if things went bad were promptly set aside.

"Jörmungandrinn."

"What? I blink as I realize she had said something.

"My name is Jörmungandrinn, you were close though." Her human mouth opened wide in a grin. "Master let us watch tv all the time and I loved norse myths. I even finished God Of War Ragnarok Remaster a couple of days ago. Though I doubt you know the game."

"I know it." I say, not really understanding what was happening. "I play a lot of old games." Jackson liked having us be knowledgeable of the culture of countries in the past. He also thinks that games from before quirks came were just plain better than most current ones and I tended to agree. Wait, how the hell does she play? Must be a quirk of some type...unless the master made her a huge game controller and tv.

"You're taking this better than Spinner did." I jerk at her voice.

"Spinner, here?" I ask feeling more excited then I had in a while

"He was a day or two ago, if you had woken up early you might have gotten to see him."

"Where'd he go? Dang it, I have to tell him that the heroes are after him."

"I think he knows that."

"Not like that, they have a strike force specifically for him." I then remember that Shoto, Mina and Momo were hunting for Spinner and that I had been their side quest. I shake those thoughts away. Spinner first, rage later. "Where is he?"

"He said he was going to meet up with his followers." a voice behind me rings out, sounding musical and deep. "Something about putting them on the right path though I'm not sure how much sway he will have over the Children Of Stain, especially their more fanatic branch."

"Master." Red with the most emotion I've heard from her which was about the same as an adult finding an extra piece of gum in their backpack.

"Bye." Jörmungandrinn said, and as if I wasn't already scared of her, she dissolved into the water. You heard me, she became water, this titan size being who if anything like her sister, has the power to fight some of the strongest heroes in the country, turned into water and completely disappeared in around 7 seconds.

.

"Impressive, isn't she"?" The voice from before asked and I could detect a hint of smugness, which was fair if he made that then he had every right to be proud of it.

"it..she is." I answered. "You're proud I assume?, she would be a match for your predecessor's original best creation, Gigantomachia, am I right?" I turn to regard this master. " While I don't believe I ever met him in the time of the war I believe his name was Kyudai Garaki was it not?"

The first thing I noticed about the master was his guard. While no Jörmungandrinn, he was pretty big at that nice 12 feet tall. Bovine type head with 4 horns, no hair, black leathery skin and a muscular body.

"You love your myths don't you?" I asked the master who was sitting in the minotaur's open palm like a throne. "Let me guess, you named this one Asterion?"

"I'm impressed you know so much ancient history." The master descended from the finger of his guard, "but thankfully he didn't want to be named after a being so unlucky as the minotaur so he decided to name himself Toro."

"Hmm, spanish ..but they don't treat their bulls that well either."

The master shrugged, "sometimes they win and they have the running of the bulls."

I nod my head in agreement slowly giving him a look over. The master was human size, around 6'7 and lanky with larger feet and hands that ended in semi talons. He also bore wings that were currently wrapped around his body, hiding it from me. The only clothing I could see on him was an old straw hat.

"You're a nomu yourself?" I questioned at his chuckle, I continued, "I was under the knowledge that nomus were made from corpses, are you an original nomu?"

"The old generation of nomus had to be made from corpses, Gigimachi was a rarity but my nomus don't have such weakness, they are the next step in evolution. But to answer your question, yes, I was created by Kyudai in more ways than one." He chuckles and I get the feeling that there was a joke in there that I didn't recognize.

"Forgive me for saying but you're not a high end nomu, at least I'm assuming so based on color." I motion to the master's wings which were a pale grayish yellow. The master for his part flexes them closer to me ato give me a better look. "But you're smart, you can joke and seem very casual, why is that? Were you one of his secret projects? A nomu he was planning to use in the war before he got arrested?"

The master stared at me for a moment before he leaned back, Toro leans forward, finger extended to act as a chair. "You're taking this rather well, you've just been brought down to a place you don't know and met creatures that would give the strongest of heroes problems and you're talking quite calmly."

"If you remember this isn't the first time I had to deal with nomus, and even then this is not the first time I've met someone hiding or super powerful."

"Ah!" he claps his hands, a smile on his face. "Were the other cases some work at the academy?"

I made sure to keep my face calm. "First time I've ever heard it called that but no, My time at UA was rathe-"

"I think we both know that's not the school I am talking about."

"Then what school are you talking about?" I ask, wondering how much he knows. Honestly if it weren't for him already asking me questions I would assume he had a nomu that went in my mind already.

"I was hoping you could tell me more about it to be honest, I think I've been pretty nice giving out questions."

"Is that why you helped me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. I looked around for my own seat, sighing when I didn't see one. Is this a power move trying to make me sit down on the ground? I shake the notion from my head, the man already 13 feet in the air using a nomu as a throne, I doubt he believes he needs a power play like this. "Will this meeting get unpleasant if I don't know the information you're asking me on?"

"It might get more unpleasant if you keep trying to play me for a fool." He warns, waving a hand idly. "How about this, we exchange information question for question?"

I think on it for a moment before tilting my head, "Rules?"

"You ask me a question and I'll ask you one in return and we both tell the truth. The more information you give in an answer the more I will give and so on."

"Very well you start." He smiles at my response nodding his head.

"What is the academy?"

"A school." His smile wavers as mine raises. "What is your story?"

"I'm a man, or rather at the time a boy, that was turned into a nomu." He answered and I sigh. "Why does Phoenix Tree want you?"

"I was hoping you knew." I answered honestly, "I have a couple ideas though."

"Feel free to share." he says, his wings seeming to relax. "What is the academy?"

I close my eyes and take a deep breath well if my vault is broken might as well take advantage.

"The academy is an organization that works with/is from the IHA. It's known as a series of schools that train selected children to be the next line of heroes for certain countries. What is not known to the public or most governments is that the academy has gone rogue. It no longer follows the selective guideline of the IHA when selecting who to train and hides over 70% of its members from IHA. They have agents in hero, villain and government branches that monitor countries for crimes and situations that normal heros/law enforcement can't normally get to. The academy is actively trying to get agents into every criminal organization and hero community in the world for a plan that I believe is to put the world's organized crime and 80% of the global hero community in direct or indirect control of the academy. I'm not completely sure but I'm assuming since you can never get rid of crime, the academy wants to control it to lower the amount of innocents that will get hurt."

I let out a deep breath, hands on my knees as the master stared at me with wide eyes. Even Toro looked surprised. This was the first time I was able to really talk about the academy without mental blocks preventing me from even thinking about half the stuff Jackson told me, or at least thinking of them the way I am currently.

The Master looked like he wanted to ask me a question but remembers that it's my turn.

"I dropped a pretty big bomb just now, you better have something for me." I warn. "What do you know about Phoenix Tree?" I ask hoping that I didn't just waste my time.

"Phoenix Tree is an organization that I have been looking into for the last 6 years. Though from my information I believe that they have existed in some way or form for the last 20 years at least. I first learned of them when I was discovered taking resources from one of my creator's old labs before attempting to destroy me. They offered me to be a part of something greater than myself, to bring a new age of heroes and to unify the country and world in a way not seen since Prime All Might and The Mother Of Quirks. I refused and they attacked me. I have been laying low since but I believe that they know I'm alive. I don't know their plan but I do believe that they have been behind the disappearance or death of several heroes over the last half a decade. I do not know the reason for this."

He gave me a moment to stew on this information. "How many academy members are in Japan?"

"As far as I know only me, there are normally 50+ agents in any country but with recent events I'm not sure if any of them are still in country. I do know that one relative of an academy member is in Japan, at least I don't believe she has moved. Oh and there was a third academy member who's quirk allows her to appear by me. She's...semi here. Alright my turn, these nomus, specifically Red, seem to insinuate that they are different than the original nomus, what's different?"

"They aren't made of corpses, they are made from DNA stolen around the city and gene spliced together and given stimuli to force certain quirks to develop."

"Sperm donors?"

"More than that, they're more like clones of different people with genes spliced." He keeps going, letting my question slide. "Blood samples from civilians, I can go into their DNA and see what types of quirks their ancestors had, I can get the results of decades of quirk marriages in my very own lab. These nomus aren't from the dead, they are born, they are living breathing creatures that I have created and as you hear on the news, I have surpassed my predecessor's work. So many high ranking heroes to take down my own nomu." He preens like a bird for a moment. "Why is Phoenix Tree after you?"

"Not sure, but I believe that they want a special ability given to every member of the academy that I think they want."

"What ability?"

"I refuse to answer that, ask another question."

He narrows his eyes at me. "Do you believe you're in a position to refuse?"

"Yes." I shrug my shoulders, "look master, while I doubt you're PT, you're still an unknown person, I need to keep some cards on my table, just know this, if PT gets their hands on me then it's probably gonna get worse."

"Then why shouldn't I just kill you?"

Shit, stepped a little too far forward.

"Can we get back to that question at the end of the game?"

"Nope, you told me to ask another question." I wasn't sure but I thought I heard Red move closer from behind.

"Because I can be an ally, in a month with no arm and no gear I've been making the Japanese government look like fools."

"Allies share information."

"Which I am, I can't tell you all of my secrets, what if Phoenix Tree captures you?" The master stares at me, mouth agape before he starts to laugh, slapping his knee at the statement.

"Out of all the things you say I didn't expect you to claim I could be a loose link!"

"Not loose per say" I corrected. It's just that they aren't even sending anyone after me yet the team that went after me wants Spinner. I'm still not seen as a threat but you." I motioned to where a certain giant Nomu had turned to water. "If they come for you they're gonna come hard" I let out a short snort " Probably with multiple top ten members...heh Giggity''

The master wiggles his nose before grunting. "Fine then but you do realize this gives me the reason to not give you information as well?"

"True, that is very true, I guess the only real question we should be asking each other is do we want to help each other take Phoenix Tree down?"

"That depends, what do you plan to do after?"

"Get the fuck out of here." At his face I laugh, "you wouldn't know but I don't like Japan, well, take that back, I don't prefer the people here, I'm staying here to avenge Denki. After that, Japan can make sweet love to a rusted toenail for all I care for it."

"Will this academy get involved?"

I raise an eyebrow. "They won't if I ask them not to, or do you want some help from them?"

"Two kings cant rule."

"True, but that's a problem that can be pushed back for decades...unless you're saying your worms can take Japan now?" His eyebrows twitch slightly but I grin knowing I caught him with that one. "The academy will happily leave you and Japan to fight it out until Japan calls the IHA to help, which as you know they will not, they call the WHA for their problems."

"And if you die?"

"The legal side of the academy is being bogged down by Japan's government, or I assume the PT controlling japan government, but the illegal side will come to see what happened to me and I'll tell you right now, while your nomu are impressive, I've seen monsters that could pull them apart with ease." I look down at the water. "Or at least most of them, either way, it's an organization that's possibly trying to completely control the world, do you want to fight a war on two fronts?"

"Possibly?"

"This is to my best knowledge, they never really just pulled out a white board with 'world domination' on the top so this is speculation my turn, uh, what's your name?"

"Tsubasa Garaki."

I blink at the words for a moment before blinking again. "Come again?"

"Tsubasa Garaki," the master replied.

"One moment." I close my eyes and mutter a code under my breath, instantly the vault starts to assault me with sounds and memories, anything that my mind can piece together on that name. "Midoriya talked to Bakugo about a friend named Tsubasa, he got turned into a nomu." I opened my eyes and looked him up and down, noticing a scar on the right side of his face. Came from a bladed weapon, started in the eye and was ripped through the brain a bit. "Is that coincidence?"

"No, I am grandson of Kyudai Garaki, creator of the nomu and right hand to All For One."

"What happened to you?"

"My grandpa."

"How are you even alive?"

"the HPSC."

I groan into my hands. "Let me guess, they wanted nomu weapons?"

The master shrugs. "Maybe, I never actually figured it out."

"So where they find you? In an abandoned lab?"

"Actually no, you see I was one of the first nomu Shiguraki let out, we actually attacked a town, I was damaged by the Hero Killer Stain saving Midoriya."

I blinked remembering that Midoriya had said the Hero Killer had saved his life. "Knife didn't go deep enough."

"Yes and no." The master shrugs. "It was deep enough to kill me, but my body was strong enough to hold on for the HSPC to take my body away for 'disposal'." The way his voice was coated in sarcasm made it quite clear what happened. "After that they started playing around with my comatose body, trying to learn how I worked. I was one of the only live nomu samples they had and unlike the other one, My skin was easier to pierce and get samples from."

"Let me guess, they then put the wrong chemical in your head which woke you up and you broke out." I nod my head when he shrugs in agreement.

"Basically long and short of it."

"Then how did you get so…"

"Smart? Quirk awakening, some part of the quirk that altered my brain for me to be able to use my wings." He grins at my face. "Yep, lucky break on my stance, went from middle schooler to able to understand genetic quirk theory in a couple of weeks. Though I still had to find and study my grandpa's old bases to do it, apparently after losing the first one he put a mental 'return to base' order on all of them. From then it was a case of hiding and experimenting, running away whenever the heroes found the lab that I was working at."

"Wait, so you have the location of every lab in your head? How many are there?"

"I believe it's my turn." I mutter a curse. "I also have very good hearing, what was that phase you said earlier?"

Mentally I groan. "It's something to help me remember stuff."

"A mental practice?"

"In a way, has nothing to do with my quirk if that's what you're asking."

Tsubasa stares at me for a moment. I kept my face calm and meet his gaze evenly, ignoring the breath on my shoulder, seems like Red had been moving up and Toro was staring as well.

"Alright," He says letting it go. "Back to the point, our possible alliance."

Possible is good, possible I can work with.

"Here's a deal, you work for me-"

"With." I cut off at his raised eyebrow, I continued "With you, also I think it works best If PT doesn't know that we have met, at the moment we are two different problems they have to handle in two different ways, but If I start working with Red here next time we're in the open I'm getting hit but with like 20 heroes."

"So what, we work separately but together?"

"Sort of." I rub my chin. "How much help are you willing to give me?"

"Depends, how much will you give me?"

"Depends, what do you want me to do?"

"I'm experimenting with combining living nomus with heroes."

"I thought you already had the perfect being?"

"I do but these guys have to mature naturally, the longer the better for the quirks to grow in correctly. It took almost a decade to make the 6 nomus you've met so far."

Well that's a good thing, in the long run it's good to know that he doesn't have a hundred of these guys ready to swarm a city, one mask situation was hell enough thank you very much. Though I wasn't exactly alright with the idea of giving this man more help but from what I've heard on the radio his nomu have only gotten into fights with the top 10, he doesn't seem to have killed or beaten any of them yet so these super nomus aren't so much stronger than the high ends. But the speed in which he can make them is worrying, and even though he said 'grow naturally', 5 years to full maturity is crazy. But again the WHA and Midoriya can deal with that.

"So you want your nomus to take over the hero business?"

"No, I want to create the perfect being, heroes normally have the most advanced quirks and bodies so they're good bases to work with."

"But why? World domination?"

"What would I want with the world? No, it's more simple than that, I'm dying."

I blink at him, "body not built to last?"

He shrugs. "The nomu were made to be weapons and put on stasis when not in use. I've been more active than any other first gen nomu were designed to be, Stain ripping a chunk of my brain out didn't help either."

"So make yourself a new body." I point to Toro. "You've made high level nomu's already."

"I'm working on that, mental domination quirks are rare enough let alone one that lets you transfer minds to a new body."

"Brain transplant?"

"Brain's one of the parts that's failing."

"So why the giant nomu worms? If you're looking for the perfect genetic code to get a mind transfer quirk, Bug size nomu that steals blood would be much more useful."

"The nomu worms are for protection and offense, only reason I sent them to hit the PIT was because I heard my grandpa was in there or at least someone that worked with him."

If that's true, that's a well kept secret and a surprise. The idea that they took that man out of Tartarus was wild enough.

"Still, a shapeshifting nomu would've handled a breakout better than dropping a kaiju on the place." I raise my hand placatingly, "don't get me wrong, I loved the breakout, it's why I'm alive, but stealth works too."

"Well number 1, shrinking quirks are rare and hard to find, 2, genetically altering bug nomu is tricky because their size, and 3, their Splice'd can normally detect mine and that's ignoring the fact that I haven't mastered the human nomu look, the changing of color helps but most people can still tell these things are nomus.''

"Splice'd?" I questioned. My arm wraps around my body as I breathe into my hand trying to warm up.

"Oh, correct, apologies you wouldn't know. Ash Master & War Wings, I think there are more but I'm not sure."

"Ash Master I heard about from somebody, she's a hero that helped take down one of your worms, right?"

"Wyrms and yes, she is one of those, she's also known as the daughter of-"

"Shiguraki." I say as I remembered thinking about that while bleeding in the car. "I heard of her from the radio, I did think it was odd that Shigraki had the time to have a child during all his war on Japan.

"He didn't, grandpa didn't keep any records of her, it's almost like she came out of nowhere."

"Gender switched clone?" I guessed.

"Close, the splice'd are what I think they wanted with my grandpa's research, as far as I can tell children made from the DNA of multiple quirk individuals, so human versions of my next generation nomu's."

"What proof do you have of this?"

"None beside happenstance." He shrugs. "Shortly before these heroes were discovered the HSCP made a team to clean up after all big hero battles, they show up a couple minutes after the battle winds down and clean up and all biological material."

"You think these guys pick up hero blood samples?"

"Among other things." The master pauses. "Perhaps we can finish this talk later?"

"Why?" the master points at my feet which I look at and notice had started to turn blue around the toe. "Oh right, can I get some clothes please?"

"The academy trained you well." The master looked me up and down before snapping his fingers. Toro's hand hovers above us and I sigh as the air starts to heat up. "I can tell that they modified and then reverse modified your body, why is that?"

I was honestly surprised he could tell. As far as I could tell most of the changes they added were undone when I left. He must have some sort of doctor sight quirk or maybe the tendril ball told him.

"The academy secrets are their own and I was on vacation, if I were to die before my body could be recovered they wouldn't want random morgues to see what they did to me."

"But still, we're approaching –1 degrees in here and beside some shuddering you haven't seen fit to complain. And since they undid most of their work I can assume this resistance is mostly mental which is sort of surprising from what i've heard of you In fact, your personality doesn't seem to match what you're hiding in you."

"They wanted soldiers who could be human in their freetime." I shrugged not wanting to go into how much Jackson could alter a mind. "Anyway let's summarize this deal, we can talk about more in the long run." At his nod, "so you want to make yourself a new body free from PT and the HTSC, who wants you for experimentation or these gen 2 nomus, correct? I'm assuming you're trying to make a body that looks human but has the benefits of your nomu body?"

"Correct so far, PT wants me to perfect their splice'd heroes, at least that's what I assume, either that or a nomu army."

"Alright cool, and after that you're just gonna step out of the villian business? Live a peaceful life with your new body?"

"No."

I sigh at his straight statement, Here it comes.

"I'm not just gonna make myself a new body, I'm trying to make an Apotheus, An Azoth, the Rebis, I'm hoping to become Perfection and bring humanity to the infinity behind the quirk singularity.

As he was talking, Tsubasa had been getting more and more ...I want to say alive. He wasn't moving more or anything like that, but he stood straighter, his eyes lit up like he just heard a funny joke and he talked with more strength in his voice. Honestly it would be a positive change to see from someone who was turned into a monster against his will...if what he just said didn't horrify me.

The quirk singularity was something that I honestly don't think humanity is truly ready for. From the war with the villains. Shigaraki had basically been able to bend his body to the will of his mind and quirk, becoming a creature of great power.,..the down side was that he nearly lost his mind and the whole thing was being held together by a 100+ year old villain.

"Didn't Shigaraki show that hitting the quirk singularity was a foolish idea?" I asked, keeping my face straight.

"Did he?" He asked back, "if you ignored OFA controlling his mind I would say Shigaraki
was a great example. His body changed itself to match his quirk at will and that's not even the completed version my grandpa was trying to create. Can you just imagine what a perfect version would be?"

"Yeah maybe in 7 generations, maybe the human body can't keep up with evolution. Only Shig and Deku managed to reach that point let alone the idea of reaching past it. You want to give people this power willy nilly?"

"They're already gonna have this power, as a mutation user you're aware that your body is better at using your quirk than emitters correct? Sooner or later mutation users will reach the required stage."

"Yeah and by the time they reach that stage they won't be human any longer or at least not this version of humanity." This was advanced quirk theory that was talked about in the academy. Give another 100 years the human body will be heavily altered to accommodate the gen 9 and 10 quirks. "Mutation types are still going over discrimination, society isn't ready to reach the singularity yet."

"Exactly." I blink at his words. "The problem with the singularity is that it's the point where the quirk leaves the body behind, but besides the rare quirks and the combination quirks, no one has hit that point, correct?" At my nod he keeps going, speech speeding up, "so we just need to speed the body evolution up or better yet, Evolutionary Stasis!"

"Stasis? Like sharks and crocodiles?"

"Exactly, all animals that have remained virtually unchanged for thousands of years."

"Then that not quirk singularity, you never reach the point the body is left behind."

"Correct but for this to work you need to hit the singularity first!"

I blink, narrowing my eyes and racking my brain for why you wouldn't just hit the evolutionary stasis first. If you had a way to make sure the quirk would never evolve past the body then you basically stop the problem. The only reason you would hit singularity first was if it was required to hit the evolutionary stasis. It was then that it hit me.

"Shigaraki." At his nod I continued. "When he hit the singularity his body changed, he grew more fingers, his shape changed to accommodate the quirk, Eraserheads quirk couldn't turn off his shape changing cause it was biological."

"Correct!" He grins, patting me on the shoulder. "If I can have a quirk hit singularity then get the body to catch up into the same state Shigaraki hit then go a little bit father to lock it in, I've reached the perfect being, doesn't matter how much the quirk evolves if the body has all that it needed. This theoretical body would be able to naturally alter itself to handle whatever change the quirk gets."

I was stunned, truly stunned. This was basically an advanced version of Jackson's mutation theory. And even Jackson's version sounded like something that would take up to 200 years to happen naturally and he thinks he could figure it out with whatever time he has left?

"You think you can hit this stance in what time you have left?"

"No."

I almost fell over and he laughed, "sorry if I led you along a bit but my need for a new body and my dream of the perfect being are two different things." He stretches his wings, "I'm planning to live for a long time, Mineta. I have the genes from my grandpa's age reverting quirk. Once I make a body and transfer my mind into it I'll have plenty of time to straighten all the kinks out. "

I let out a minor sigh of relief. Sure the idea of this guy experimenting with people's DNA in the sewers for 100+200 years was scary, it was honestly a problem for the next generation and Jackson to deal with. Hell I might be dead in 10-20 years because of quirk genetics and the issues that come with Dwarfism so I won't even be around at the start of his research.

"So currently you're just trying to get a new body and get the HPSC off your back."

"Indeed, once I make a nomu body that looks human enough I'll step into the limelight as a scientist, maybe even leave Japan. I'll relive my life from where I left off, become a prodigy in high school, get scholarship after scholarship in college and by the time I graduate, businesses will be chomping at the bit for me to work for them. One of them is bound to let me conduct my research on the side."

"And let me guess, once you get too old you'll 'die'" I do finger quotes "and your boss/student/son will continue your research?" He nods and I stifle a laugh. "And here I thought you were gonna pull a planet of the apes but with nomu's."

He chuckles. "You know your myths and classics, you're getting more and more interesting but no, I'm not planning to leave humanity behind in my progress. I'm planning to redeem my family name, my grandpa discovered the quirk singularity theory and I'm gonna be the one to solve it!"

"Out of the goodness of your heart?"

"Sure...but also to stop being hunted like wild animals and somewhere along the lines I'm gonna get filthy stinking rich!"

Now that sounds better, honestly I trust a man following self preservation and greed more than someone acting purely for the greater good..at least in this situation. "You know with all of Red's 'The Master' talk I expected you to want to do some world domination or burn it all down, I wasn't expecting this 'advance the human evolution over centuries' idea." Don't get me wrong, this was still something that I was throwing as a report on Jackson's desk when I get back to the academy, but my main worry was that he was gonna try and shove demigod type powers in the hands of everyday civilians. Honestly with the way he's planning this I expect Jackson to have a class M member be his assistant long before he makes any progress.

"Do you have a problem with that?"

"Not at all, ignoring that this will be long after my time, you seem to be planning this smartly. As long as you're not planning human enslavement or the like then I don't care."

"You're not what I expected from a hero."

"I'm not a hero, I'm a soldier for hire that works for the IHA." Bastion once made the comparison and honestly it seems to fit.

"Oh I like that, so you know my plan and your plan if I'm correct is to find out what you need and leave?"

"Yes, find out who killed Denki, Kill them, and leave Japan. Clearing my name not even a required process at that. PT has news about me on lockdown but I don't seem to be wanted or expunged out of the country."

"Then why not leave?"

"I'm not completely sure if PT is involved in Denki's death, not to mention my imprisonment and possibly a good friend of mine going missing." I shrug, "they die, the tree will be ripped from the roots and the ash's thrown into the sea."

"You know what they say about revenge and two graves."

"Gonna be much more than two."

He sighs, "it's your life, do with it what you may. For now our goals align."

"Indeed, the destruction of Phoenix Tree and since we both assume they control the HPSC."

He nods. "From what you said early you want to be a mercenary for me, a gun for hire?"

"Yes, from what I've seen your nomu's cant do stealthy, one of the main problems to figure out is how to make them seem more human."

"Low resources remaking Echidna will take up most of what I have left."

"So between Toro, Red and her partner, Jörmungandrinn, Tenticleal, this Echidna which I'm assuming to be the wyrm that hit the PIT, that makes 6, but considering what the radio said about these worm attacks is it safe to assume you have more?"

"I'm not sure if a mercenary would be told all that information but maybe you'll learn once we learn to trust each other more."

"Very well." One of two wyrms more likely and if I had to bet at least one more humanoid nomu or at least a ground base one that needed that much size to move. "But it's clear that you need a force that can be stealthy and won't be sensed by these splice'd individuals, which we will need to talk about another time."

"So you will become my spy?"

"I will become a spy for whoever has the money." I corrected him. "Creating a personality as a gun-for-hire will help keep PT from finding out we are working together."

"Hmm very well, so I'm assuming I am giving you weapons for jobs?""

"Weapons, the use of a nomu sometimes if needed or knowledge, we can decide that later for jobs. But if possible I would ask if information on the PT will be freely traded, everything else can be paid for with my help." I tilt my head as I think on it. "I might even be able to help you with your research."

"Oh? You're a scientist now?"

"Much more than you would know." I grin at his doubting face. While no super genius, I did graduate from multiple of the academy's engineering programs and on top of that my vault knowledge can probably be used to help with any blanks I don't get.

"Well regardless I think we have a deal." He held out a hand which I shook, his hand was cooler than I expected but not too bad.

"Alright here's what I need of you."

"Already wanting a job?"

" I need to find my gear that I came to Japan with, they might have been destroyed but I doubt they would have bothered since I was shoved in the Pit. Most likely it's in an evidence locker somewhere."

"You want me to send a nomu to get your stuff?"

"No no, just tell me where they are and I'll get them myself and whatever else you need."

"Interesting, you assume there's something I want in an evidence locker?"

"Possibly, villain gear probably has dead skin cells or something on them if you can use it for your research."

"That's a low play."

"Fine, you find my gear, I'll do a minor job for you in repayment."

"Minor?"

"I will steal hero outfits to make my own gear if I have to, this will just be easier for both of us since you can take your time on this."

"I can?"

"Sure, because I'm going underground for a month or three." At his look I point to my arm. "Unless you're offering for me to live here for a while and gain my…well everything back I'm gonna need to go hiding for a while and get my muscles back unless you have a Nomu for that."

"Sorry, I made my nomus for protection and my body can heal itself easily enough with how much I modified, why bother?"

"So yeah I'll need to heal and gain my strength back."

"And what of our other guests?"

It took me a second to realize that he meant Samidare and the chef.

"The PT has someone who can wipe memories to some sort of extent, let the chef out as soon as you can but keep Samidare here for a week if that's fine...and allow me to shove a message into his foot." At the master's look I explain "your tentacle friend-"

"Lulu.'' The master supplies me with the name which I assume is based on the Old One Cthulhu. "And Red's name is Kayla."

"Really? Can't think of a creature with that name." I think on it for a moment before shaking my head. "Question for later, anyway can Lulu heal a wound so it can't be detected?" At his nod I grin. "Alright we will drop Samidare here for a week and let him go, I want to test PT memory erasing. Tsuyu's sister is in critical condition and her brother's missing. I can't imagine she won't be at his side the moment he appears. I want to see how long it takes for PT to get to him and what they do."

"You think they would kill him?"

"Possibly, if they can't wipe his mind they'll keep an eye on him." I wasn't overly happy that I was risking the Kid's life but honestly I don't have the time or power to protect him from Phoenix Tree.

"Easily enough, anything else?"

"Can you drop me off in a deep forest away from the cities, I can survive the rest from that." The idea of asking to stay is tempting but I wasn't ready to sleep under this man's roof just yet.

"Easily enough."

I sigh. It was a sloppy deal, a sloppy plan, and the idea of going back out there was terrifying and made my freshly healed wounds itch.

"Kayla will take you back to your room." Tsubasa replies. "There you can finish your healing and talk out your plan with Samidare if you wish." His wings flap once and his face twitches. "We should talk more often."

"Oh? Is the big bad master happy to have someone to talk to besides his kids?" The way he looked away made me snicker. Makes sense, he was a kid made into a monster that had to hide in the sewer and everyone he knows he made and taught them with movies. Honestly he was sort of a sad character that could use a friend.

Before I could say anything else, Red scoops me up and onto her shoulder.

"Maybe we can play cards some time, or go to the movies!" I laugh at the nomu's leader's flustered expression as Red starts to carry me away. "Oh oh maybe we can go bowling!"

"Another word Mineta and I'll give Kayla drop you off in a river"

"Hey speaking of which, can you tell her to give me my clothing back?"

"Oh right, Kay-"

My breath hitches as Red suddenly speeds up, almost making me hack out a lung as she hits 0 to 60 in 3 steps.

"Oh such sadness." Red says as she speeds down the hall, Tsubasa's shocked face already a memory in my mind. "I'm afraid that I couldn't hear the master's final message."

"You're a real piece of work, you know that?" I grumble already missing Toro's heat.

"Your compliment of my form is not needed." Red's monotone voice was as flat as ever but I could sense the smugness from it.

"Kayla... Kayla…" I say thinking back to her name. "Sounds European, what myth did you base yourself on?"

"That is for the master to know." I narrowed my eyes at her.

"Master...leader...lord...king…" Red was silent but her shoulder muscles twitched at the last word. "Was it a king? The name is Welsh so am guessing ...King Arthur? Oh that's cute, are you your daddy's little knight?"

"The master is more than a King could ever be."

"That's adorable!" I snicker on her shoulder. "Did you talk fancy like when you were younger? I should've caught it the way you talk, you're basically imitating that fancy 'I'll die for my king' talk. How long did it take you to learn to talk like that?"

"Did the talk with the master not tire you out? I can help you sleep if you need it."

"You said 'My' master instead of 'The'." I grin then yipe as Red almost stumbles from my word which at this speed would probably mean my death.

"I didn't say that!" She says with more emotions I've heard from her.

"No, you didn't." She looks back to glare at me and I grin as I finally get the connection.

"Kayla...Kay, Sir Kay? From the round table? Why didn't you choose Lancelot, wasn't he Arthur's second?"

"He betrayed Arthur at the end." Red or Kay replied with a sour face. "How could I take the name of someone who would, could betray their king like that?"

"So you did take the name from the King Arthur myths." She glares at me, "relax, I get it, most people want their dads to be proud of them ...wait do you consider him your dad or are you calling him master for a di-"

"If you finish that sentence I will re-open your injuries from before so that Lulu can reheal them with more precision!" I shut my mouth as she turned her head forward again. After 30 seconds I can't wait and ask another question.

"Did you ever consider naming yourself Guinevere?"

She growls which I consider a yes. my laughter could be heard throughout the tunnel.

Sorry this took so long to drop alot of stuff happen but I hope I can post the next question at a faster past.
