AN: Here's part 3 of the first chapter. Enjoy.

Act 1 (chapter 1): The travel goes to same direction

Part 3: Exciting Trip

The Year is 2024

Everyday seems to be cloudy in the city of Brighton, Iowa. Some people have come to the airport. Inside, everyone was in line, having to book their reservation and tickets with luggage loading to their plane.

Inside the hallway to the gates, there were two ladies, walking down the hallway to their gate 22.

One of them was wearing her green turtleneck shirt with her dark-blue pants and a dark-green jacket. She also had long brown hair. Her name is Libby Stein-Torre. She was a bit nervous about everything, especially going out of state.

The other was more the opposite. She wears a white t-shirt, light-blue jeans, with a purple skirt along with black dots, and has a yellow jean jacket with ripped sleeves. She also has brown hair with red lining, and a ponytail. Her name is Molly McGee, now a grown-woman. She was different, mainly due to her joyful feeling of going out of state for a reason. They reached their gate, waiting to be on board, so they begin to sit down at the silver bench.

"I'm SUPER EXCITED FOR OUR FIRST TIME," Molly said joyfully, "HEADING TO FRESNO FOR OUR MISSION: TO MEET MARCY AND HER WEBCOMIC, ANNE-PHIBIA!" She was sitting down with her bag set next to her, mainly to her right side. Libby sat down next to Molly on the left side of Molly, setting her bag.

"Well," Libby said nervously, "I am exciting to meet Marcy, but why can't she just have a convention here in Brighton? I mean it would be better than-" Molly side-hugged her.

"Hey, don't let those 'thoughts' control you, Libby," Molly said confidently, "plus, it's gonna be great to explore outside of our town to meet our favorite author in another town."

"I know," Libby said, "but still, I have never been out of Brighton before."

"Hey, you got me," Molly said, "and I won't leave you out of sight. I promise you and your mother that we'll keep you safe." Libby looked at Molly, as she knew Molly would do her best to keep her safe. Her face was changed from a worrying face to a small smile, giving her confidence.

"I guess you're right, Molly," Libby said, "How did I get myself a wonderful friend like you?" Molly blushed as she heard the question.

"Maybe," Molly said, "an angel just heard your prayer, I guess."

"Or even a ghost," A voice said, startled the duo with Molly released herself from side-hugging Libby.

Libby thought for a minute until she noticed a clear, like transparency, floating fella appearing in front of them. It was their friend, Scratch the ghost.

"Oh hey Scratch!" Molly said, noticing the floating ghost as well.

"Hey, Scratch," Libby said.

"Hello, mol and Libby," Scratch said, "I see you two are going out of town for a week? Because I would love to take myself some time alone for once, back in your apartment."

"Don't worry, Scratch," Molly said, "It'll go in the flesh." Molly and Libby hugged him, even though he got annoyed, yet he returned the hug back to them.

"Alright, just don't go over joyful moments," Scratch said as he released himself from the hug.

"At least you can always accompany your other friends," Libby said, "like Geoff, Ollie, June and Jeff. And don't worry about us. We will take care of each other."

"Well, never though I say this," Scratch continued, "but have fun at this Fresno? Sounds garbage to me. See you two lovebirds in a week." He then faded out of nowhere. Molly and Libby were confused at what Scratch said to them as, 'lovebirds'. It didn't take a second to finally realize what he said, which caused them to stare at each other, causing them to blush. They looked the other way, yet they both smiled and laughed. It lasted for a minute or two until they slowly caught their breath.

"Lovebirds?" Libby said, "like why would he call us that?"

"I don't know," Molly said. "But you know him, he's joking around."

"Yeah," Libby said. Yet, Libby felt that Scratch might be onto them.

Inside her heart, the beats were bounding faster like three times the normal speed whenever she's around Molly. She had a crush on Molly since the day she threw a bar-mitzvah celebration and she wants it to be special to get to know her more, yet she doesn't have the courage to take the action, and with Molly's attempts to throw the best. So, she decided to keep it to herself since she might fear that she'll lose Molly and to be left alone. Little did she know goes the same situation for Molly.

Molly began to have a crush on Libby from the day she and Libby became besties while fighting off Howl Harriet, gave her the biggest bar-mitzvah and the time when Molly saved Scratch from the ghost council, which Libby would watch over her body due to the latter being a Wraith, a living person who gave up their ghost. It must've been a decade since the chairman perished. Even though she once dated Ollie, a reformed ghost hunter, yet it didn't went pretty, though they're friends now, she later find out of her new crush, Libby.

The more they both thought of each other, the blush on their face became a more pink-reddish appearance expanding it. It was a moment of silence between them until Molly began to speak.

"So," Molly said, "Got a plan when you get to meet Marcy?"

"Oh well," Libby answered, "I want to see if I can ask her to have my poster with her autograph." She pulled up a poster of Anne-mphibia, which is a forest-like setting with a girl, almost identical to Anne Boonchuy, yet wears knight armor, with a small frog, a toad and a newt. Molly joyfully stared at the poster like she had never seen it before, which triggered her jolly feeling.

"NO WAY!" Molly said surprisingly, "That's AWESOME, LIBBY!"

"Yeah, thanks," Libby said, "and I was hoping to ask her about success in life, because I was thinking of writing a script, mainly in horror stories."

"Those plans are wonderful," Molly said, "And I'm sure she'll love to hear your question, and maybe one day, you'll be the greatest horror writer of Hollywood!" Libby was blushed and feeling happy to hear what Molly said.

"Hehe, yeah," Libby said, "I will one day and-" She was about to say more until the speaker went off, interrupting Libby from finishing her thought.

"Attention all passengers," said an announcer coming from the speaker, "flight 2187 from Brighton, Iowa to Fresno, California is now boarding at gate 22. That is all. Thank you." The announcement ended.

The duo looks at each other, feeling confident to travel. They then begin to stand up from the bench. Both gets their bag and tickets in their hand,

"Well," Libby said, "It's time to travel then. I'm actually quite happy heading to Fresno now thanks to you, Molly."\

"Awww," Molly said proudly, "anytime for my bestie!" She then side-hugged Libby for a second before she released her.

They both feel happy that they were on their way to gate 22, having to enter their plane, but also having each other's company as they're together. As they entered the airplane, they both got their seats in the middle class. They set their bags above them and sat down and later stared through the window on their right, seeing other planes take off to the sky.

AN: Since technically, I begin developing this story before season 2 came out. Yet, I decided to adjust it from season 2 with mollie's romance to die out in this timeline while the canon confirms Mollie as a couple. Normally i don't mind which ship comes first, like Mollibby, mollandrea, Mollie, in my opinion. I do enjoyed them in fan-arts or in fanfiction story and in the series.

Anyway, Part 4 will come around.
