The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
When Galen and Noelle left their rented room, Galen went to see Nemus to ask him a question.
He found the older chimp, sitting in a comfy chair in the living room, reading a book. Though he looked up when he saw Galen and Noelle enter the room.
"Well, that was quick for settling in." Nemus said.
"Well, we really just had those couple packs really. So, thankfully, there really wasn't much to put away. But I do have a question." Galen told him.
"Yes? What is it?" Nemus asked.
"Is there a corral here or somewhere we can go for horseback riding?" Galen inquired.
Nemus was silent for a moment before answering.
"Yes, there is an open field further down the road from here on the left. Some go there to play some games or practice breaking in new horses." The older chimp replied.
"Really? That's nice. How far a walk down the road is it from here?" Galen asked.
"Oh, I want to say an eight-to-ten-minute walk. Seeing as it's more on the outskirts of the village because there is way more space out there." Nemus stated.
"Thank you, Nemus." Galen said.
"Yeah, thanks. And have a good rest of the day." Noelle added.
The older chimp nodded with a small smile, "You as well. And if you would like to sit down for dinner later, feel free to do so. Dinner will be in the late evening when the sun gets lower in the sky."
"Thank you. We'll most likely be back by then. We'd like to look around the village before returning as well. Seeing as it's our first time here." Galen told him.
"I see. Well, there are many nice places here to see. We have a nice size market here right in the center of town where they sell a lot of different things. You can easily restock food supplies from there before you leave to continue your travels." Nemus informed them.
"Or if you need some new clothing or blankets, I suggest my friend Orla's stand. She's an excellent clothmaker and seamstress and can make just about anything." Sanja says, as she walks by with a basket full of laundry.
"Thanks for letting us know. We definitely wouldn't mind seeing this market. Sounds like a lot of fun." Noelle said.
"Oh, it certainly is." Sanja says.
Nemus snorted, "Yes, and that is why I can never seem to get you straight home most days we're out. Because every time we pass by the market, you just have to go in. I swear we never seem to leave there each time with any less than five things."
Noelle placed a hand over her mouth to cover the amused grin on her face. Even Galen's lips twitched as he tried not smirk too.
Sanja rolled her eyes then stepped up behind his chair.
"Nemus...be a dear and help me fold this." She said.
Then to the pairs' amusement, she took out what looked like a bed sheet and dumped it right in his lap while he was reading.
The older male grumbled, bookmarking his page and dumped it onto the small wooden table by the chair and snatched up the sheet piled onto his lap.
"Well, you two are apparently busy right now. So, we'll just be going." Galen said, with some amusement in his voice.
"Have fun." Sanja told them.
"We will, and thanks again." Noelle replied.
Then the pair left. Though as they made their way out the front door, they had to stifle their laughter as they started to hear the older couple start bickering at each other about which way to fold the sheet.
"Well, they are certainly very nice and a bit amusing." Noelle said, with some laughter in her voice.
"You can say that again." Galen replied, with a small smirk.
They kind of reminded him a little of his own parents.
His father would be in the middle of something, usually in his study. When his mom would go in and tell him she needed help with something. Then his father would start grumbling and fussing which would then lead to his mom nagging him and telling him to stop fussing and it wouldn't take long.
The pair went to the tree that their horse was tied to.
Galen unhitched the horse's reins from around a sturdy branch and started pulling her along with them. Then they all started to walk down the large dirt covered road in the direction that this field was located.
They walked for about eight and a half minutes until they spotted a large grassy clearing beyond one of the last dwellings on that road.
Another couple minutes, they found the field they were looking for. It had to be the size of a very large football field and beyond it was the tree line to the woods that surrounded the village.
"Well, here we are." Galen said.
Then he led the horse to the field. With Noelle walking next to him.
When they got to the clearing, he stopped and turned to face her.
"Are you ready to start?" Galen asks.
The young woman was a little hesitant to answer at first. But she eventually nodded.
"Yeah, uhh, what do we do first?" Noelle inquired.
"First, we mount the horse. I'll help you get up there first. Then I'll hop on behind you." He informed her.
"Ok." She replied.
"Like how I helped you get on the horse the first time back in Ansel. You just put your hands on top of the saddle, and you can place your right foot in my hand. Then you hoist yourself up and I'll partially lift you a little higher.
Then push your foot off my hand and round it over top of the saddle. Though in truth, I probably don't really need to explain that part seeing as we've already done it a few times during the trip here.
Eventually, I like for you to try it on your own without my help. But for now, I want to get you up on the horse and show you the basics. So, will start here." Galen explained.
He knelt down and cupped his hands together, holding them out in front of him.
Noelle stepped forward and placed her hands on the saddle. She then placed her right foot in his hand. Then with her other foot on the ground, she slightly hopped up, while using her arms at the same time to pull herself up onto the saddle.
After several seconds, she was able to lift her right foot off of his hand and round it over top of the saddle.
When she first did this back in Ansel, she was worried she'd end up kicking the horse and scaring it as she attempted to round her leg over the saddle to straddle the horse.
But it surprisingly went very smoothly without issue.
Once she was up there, Galen efficiently jumped up behind her with hardly any effort, having been used to mounting a horse. Now, he was situated right behind Noelle.
"Now, I want you to take the reins. But don't pull or tug them. Just gently lift them up. Keep your hands on either side of them." He instructed.
Noelle did just that. She carefully picked up the leather reins and placed her hands on either side.
Then she felt Galen lightly press his front to her back, then he reached around her and placed his hands over hers. For some reason, the soft contact of his hands covering hers made her heart flutter in her chest.
The pace of her heartbeat then quickened a little when he leaned his face in over her right shoulder. Now, the side of his face was barely a couple inches away from the side of her right cheek.
She wasn't the only one affected by the very close contact. It was starting to affect Galen too.
His heart thundered a little behind his ribcage as he stayed pressed to her warm body in front of him. He can also smell the soap she used earlier this morning when they stopped briefly at a nearby pond to wash and cool off.
The smell of roses and jasmine along with her natural scent, assaulted his senses.
He swallowed, unsure why he was suddenly feeling a tad nervous. Or why he would suddenly feel nervous around Noelle. He needed to clear his mind though.
Because these were important lessons she needed to learn.
"Alright. Now, use your heels and gently tap the horse's sides with them. When they feel the tap, they know to go." Galen said, in her ear.
Noelle felt a small shiver travel down her spine when she felt his warm breath touch her ear and the side of her neck. But she did was instructed.
She gave Lola a very light tap with her heels.
The large mare started to walk forward when she did this. She thankfully didn't start to gallop; she was just walking at a casual pace. Which was more than fine with Noelle. She feels it may take her a while to get comfortable with going faster on the horse.
"Good. Now, where your left hand is on the reins, give it a gentle tug." Galen told her.
He still had his hands over hers, but let her maintain control over the reins.
Noelle started to lightly tug back the reins with her left hand. When she did this, Lola started turning and walking to the left. She noted by lightly pulling the reins, they became a bit taut and made the horse's head slightly turn left.
"And then, if I want her to go right, I just tug a little on the right side of the reins with my right hand." She surmised.
"Correct. You may do so if you wish. Get her to go right for a little bit then shift her to go left again. Do this a couple times until you're used to it. It will help you get a feel for steering the horse in the direction you want to go." Galen explained.
Noelle nodded and started doing just that.
It seemed like the horse was zigzagging every few meters. But obviously, she didn't seem to mind. She was probably used to it, having been used so many times as a beginner rider's horse.
It really was starting to come off a little easier than Noelle expected to.
"How do you stop?" Noelle asked Galen after a few minutes of zigzagging left and right while steering the horse with the reins.
"So, with stopping, there are two things. One, since you are a beginner, you will use both hands to pull both sides of the reins back until they are a little taut. You will also lightly squeeze your thighs into her sides. Again, don't tug back hard or squeeze your legs to hard against her. Do it gently but firmly like how you're currently handling the reins." He instructed.
Noelle took a small, deep breath. Then she started to ease back the reins towards her, all while lightly squeezing her legs in.
Lola didn't stop right away. This is when Galen said, to go a little harder with the reins and her legs. So, Noelle did just that, and that is when the mare finally came to a stop.
"Good. See? Was that so hard?" Galen lightly teased with a small smirk as he was still leaning a little over her right shoulder.
Noelle rolled her eyes before slightly turning her head to somewhat look at him.
"Oh, yeah. Extremely difficult. Thanks." She sarcastically replied with a small smirk.
Though by turning to look at him, her cheeks grew a little warm when she saw just how close her face was to his right now.
They locked eyes with each other, neither of them saying a word at first. Even Galen could see how close their faces were to touching right about now.
His mouth was barely a couple inches away from her soft pink, full lips.
Her light eyes were focused on his dark ones, like they were almost in a trance. Galen hadn't realized that his right hand had left hers and slowly came up to caress her soft cheek.
A feeling of warmth traveled down her body when his hand came up and brushed her cheek.
Noelle unconsciously then started to lean in a little more. Her lips were barely a hair's breadth away from his, she can feel his warm breath against her mouth as it continued to slowly inch closer to his.
Galen too started to lean in, the distance quickly became smaller between their mouths.
Then as soon as their lips just about brushed the others, Lola let out a particularly loud snort from below them. It was loud enough to break the pair from their trance.
When they did quickly pull their faces back, both of them sported red cheeks and both their hearts were slightly racing from the closeness and almost intimate gesture between them.
Noelle sharply looked ahead and was looking anywhere but at Galen. While he pulled back and was no longer leaning his face over her shoulder anymore.
He rubbed the back of his head with his free hand, clearly feeling awkward and surprised at what just nearly taken place between them.
It certainly was something that he didn't expect to happen that's for sure and a large part of him was unsure how to feel about it. He never would've thought to ever be drawn to a human like that before. At least not in a sense in nearly kissing one like he almost did.
Noelle was unsure how to process it as well.
'What am I doing? I still don't think this is exactly right.' She thought.
Then why did it feel right?
It was another few moments before either of them spoke.
"Umm, would you like to continue the riding lessons? Or cut them short today and check out that market Nemus and Sanja told us about?" He asked.
A part of her wanted to continue with the lessons. Though if not because she seemed to really enjoy the close contact with him that she was having. But the other half of her was telling her to quit while she was ahead and cut it short.
In the end, she reluctantly went with the latter.
"We can go to this market, if you want. That's fine. I'm kind of curious to see what they have. Nemus and Sanja said, they had a wide variety of different things there." Noelle said.
"Alright, let's go." Galen replied.
He then leaned forward a little again, and reached for the reins that were clutched in Noelle's hands.
"I'll take over, you may let go of the reins." He told her.
Her breath hitched a little, as his hands lightly skimmed over hers. She nodded and handed the reins to him. He gripped the reins on either side, then he lightly tapped his heels into Lola's side while tugging the reins to the left at the same time.
Lola started walking as Galen led them back to the dirt road.
They rode the horse down the dirt path and back to Nemus and Sanja's dwellings. Then when they got there, Galen dismounted and dropped to the ground on his feet.
He then turned to Noelle and held his hands out for her to help her down like he always has when they were done riding.
Noelle leaned forward in the saddle, lifted her left leg, and shifted it over the other side of the horse where her right leg was. She then went to step down but missed her footing and started to fall.
Galen saw this and he quickly stepped in and wrapped his arms around her as she fell.
The petite woman ended up falling into him. If it weren't bad enough, Galen lost his footing when her full weight slammed into his front. It sent him toppling down onto his back with her on top of him.
A sharp huff of air whooshed out of his lungs and a gasp left Noelle at the same time.
It was awkward enough when they almost shared a kiss with each other back at the field. Now, here they were, lying on the ground in a rather compromising position with her on top of him.
Her front was pressed right into his and again, her face was a mere couple inches from her own.
If that weren't bad enough, Nemus saw the whole thing from the front window. He walked over when he heard the horse walking to the front of his home.
He saw Galen dismount, then went to help Noelle. The older chimp then saw the young human woman stumble and fall as she swung her leg over the side of the horse.
Then watched as the young chimp spread his arms to catch her, only for her to land on top of him and knocking them both to the ground.
Nemus thought the whole thing and their current position was hilarious. He couldn't resist teasing them too when he saw them frozen in place with shocked looks on both their faces.
"Hey you two! Enough of that! That's what the bedroom is for!" Nemus called out in a joking manner.
Then he watched as their gaze quickly snapped to him, before they stumbled over each other like a couple of awkward teenagers trying to get off one another.
It took them all but several seconds to get up and compose themselves. But even then, both their faces were still bright red and it didn't help when Nemus started laughing at them.
His wife happened to walk by after she heard him call out to the pair and saw him laughing at the two of them. She could see her husband clearly embarrassed the hell out of them and she was not at all amused.
Sanja showed it by picking up her hand and lightly whacking Nemus upside the back of his head.
He yelped, "Ow! What was that for!?"
"For being a dirty old chimp and embarrassing them." His wife quipped.
"I was only joking." Nemus said, while still rubbing the slight sore spot at the back of his head.
Sanja just rolled her eyes then averted her attention to Galen and Noelle, who were looking about trying to act like that did not just happen.
"Don't mind him you two. Sometimes Nemus has nothing better to do in his spare time than look out the windows and be nosy." Sanja said, apologizing.
"Uhh, it's fine. We're good now." Noelle stated, still feeling a little embarrassed.
"Yes, we were just leaving. We decided to go to the market." Galen quickly got out.
"Oh good, while you're there, please pick us up some lavender leaves. This one really needs to calm down." Nemus said, gesturing to his wife.
Sanja narrowed her eyes at him, and he flinched, thinking she was going to whack him good again.
"Very funny, you old windbag. Now, stop being a nosy Nancy and help me reorganize the spices in the pantry." She ordered.
Then for good measure, she grabbed him by the collar and started pulling her behind him away from the window. Then Galen and Noelle heard the pair continuing to bicker the whole way.
At that point, Noelle couldn't help but start laughing again, as she saw Nemus get hauled away and his wife chewing his ear off the entire time, spouting how he was a nosy old fool who needed to learn how to mind his own business and then some.
Even Galen couldn't stop a couple chuckles from leaving him when he saw and heard the whole thing.
"Well, it's safe to say, Nemus got his own entertainment from watching the epic fail of me falling off the horse and into you. While we got our own entertainment in return when his wife gave him a firm scolding for it." Noelle joked, with laughter in her voice.
"Yes, I agree. Though I think we need to add posture and balance to your lessons so you're not nearly as clumsy getting off the horse. I should consider myself lucky that you didn't squish me with your bulk." Galen teased her.
Noelle's eyes widened then she shot him a small glare.
"Hey, are you calling me fat, chimp boy?" She quipped.
"No, not fat." He replied.
"Good." Noelle said.
"Maybe a little pleasantly plump." Galen said while pinching his thumb and pointer finger slightly together.
He watched in amusement as her eyes widened once more and her mouth slightly dropped open.
"Why you little shit!" Noelle growled, then she went for him.
Galen yelped and started running away from her.
"The only thing fat around here is that swollen, furry head of yours!" She called after him.
"No, just a big brain filled with loads of knowledge and intellect!" He yelled back over his shoulder.
"Yeah, in comparison to a chihuahua's maybe!" She called back.
Galen decided to be brave as he stopped and faced Noelle.
Then she came to a stop herself before him while continuing to level him with a look.
"I say, my intellect is not even remotely comparable to a tiny canine like that." He stated.
She continued staring at him, then a small grin formed on her face.
"I'm sorry, did I say chihuahua? I didn't mean that." Noelle said.
He smiled, "That's better."
"What I meant to say, was it was in comparison to a honeybee." She added, her grin grew wider as she said it.
Noelle watched as his smile quickly disappeared.
"Hey!" He whined.
She started laughing at the funny whine he let out.
In the end, he started laughing as well with her.
"Ok, smarty pants, are you ready to head out to the market? Now that we are done insulting one another?" Galen asked, in a teasing tone.
"Lead the way, Sir." She said, while gesturing forward.
Galen rolled his eyes and shook his head, but the smile still never left his face.
"Alright, let's go then." He said.
Then the pair started walking off together.
They knew where this village square was. They passed by it on the way into the village when they first got here. While they did see a large crowd of people and many stands about when they briefly passed by, they didn't question it. But just knew that it was there.
It was about a ten-minute walk to the village square, seeing as Nemus and his wife live more towards the outskirts of town and not near the center of it.
When they finally did get there, they noticed it was still quite crowded. So, it will definitely be best to stick very close together, so they don't get separated or lost.
"Stay close, there is still a lot of people here and we could easily get separated if we're not paying attention." He told her.
Noelle nodded and stuck close to his left side as they entered the crowd of people idling about all the different stands.
From what the pair could see through the crowd of both apes and humans there were a number of what looked like food stands on one side. While the other side looks like the stands sold other types of goods.
They decided to check out the side with the various foods first.
While they still had quite a bit of food from their time in Ansel, it never hurt to add more food to their supplies as they went. Better to have a little too much than too little.
The pair went through a couple fruit stands, a vegetable stand, and a stand that sold various dried meats.
While Galen didn't really eat meat, Noelle stocked up on some more for herself at least. One thing she did discover when she first came here and started traveling with Galen, Alan, and Pete is that the dried meats that they did have here were very good.
Most of the meats tasted like jerky, only more organic and healthier for you than the kind of jerky you would get in your own time.
After they got a couple small sacks filled with food did, they venture across the way to the stands that were selling various goods.
A couple stands were selling what looked like jars of fermented or pickled fruits in juices. Some others were selling a variety of clothing ranging from infants all the way up to adult clothes.
Another stand was selling leather goods like belts, packs, knife, and gun holsters. There were even leather wristbands, gloves, and pouches.
These were just a few examples of the stands that were there. Along with many others that sold other goods. The pair still had a lot of time to kill before they would need to meet Nemus and Sanja back at their home for dinner later.
Noelle spotted one stand selling what looked like books. She grasped Galen's lower arm to get his attention, then gestured to the book stand.
"You want to look at some books?" He asks.
"Yeah, I'm curious to see what kind of reading material they have here." She replied.
The pair then headed over to look at the various book selections.
The ape behind the stand gave them a brief greeting before talking with a couple other customers at the stand looking at a couple books. One of which was asking the stand's owner if he had a book in particulr in his collection.
Galen and Noelle paid the conversation no mind as they started looking through what was offered on the large wooden table.
She picked up a couple leatherbound books and looked at a couple titles. Some of which seemed rather interesting. Though obviously, she never heard of any of these books before.
"What are some of these books about?" Noelle asks Galen.
He took the brown leather book in her right hand and eyed the title on the cover.
"This book talks about some of our earlier time periods." He stated, then grabbed the red leather book from her other hand and inspected it.
"This one here, is about fairy tales and popular children's tales." He told her.
Noelle's gaze drifted down to the red book or the one on fairy tales and took it back to look at it. She opened it and skimmed through the chapters and some pages.
Of course, they were unlike any fairy tales she knew of. She had her own collection of fairy tale books at home. One had all the classic fairy tales like Beauty & the Beast. While the others in her collection were Grimm's Fairytales and Hans Christian Anderson Fairy Tales.
"Here's one you may like. It's about local plant and wildlife in these parts." Galen told her while holding out a rather thick green leatherbound book out for her to take.
She took it while giving him a small thanks. Then she put down the fairy tales' book and started thumbing through that book.
While she was busy looking through the big volume of a book, Galen shifted his attention to some of the other stands close by the one they were currently at. His eyes stopped on one that was only a couple stands down from the book stand.
Galen's gaze then went back to see that Noelle was still looking through the wildlife book, looking at some of the detailed drawings and their contexts.
"You mind waiting here a moment? I'm going to look at a stand only two stands down from this one." He told her.
Noelle's light gaze shifted from the book in her hands to him.
"Yeah, sure. I'll be here." She replied.
He nodded then he started heading for that other stand.
The stand in question looked to sell jewelry and other tiny knickknacks.
When he got there, he noted they had quite the various selection of items. Enough that there were two large tables worth of stuff. The one table on the left had various knickknacks of different shapes, sizes, and colors. While the table next to it on the right had different types of jewelry from rings to bracelets to necklaces.
He was there looking through the stands for about five minutes, when one piece in particular caught his eye.
Galen went over to get a better look at it. He then picked it up from the table and started to inspect it.
The item in question was actually a necklace. It had a brown leather cord and on the cord was this beautiful light turquoise blue pendant. The pendant was the size of a quarter, and it was carved out into the shape of a butterfly.
The color of it resembled the same beautiful blue color of Noelle's eyes and it was shaped just like one of the very insects she loved. Butterflies.
He couldn't help but think it would be perfect for her and decided it was something he would like to gift to her. Galen believed she would really like it.
"You have a good eye. That's a very nice piece. It was hand carved by one of the most talented crafters in the village. One of which happens to be my brother." A voice in front of him said.
Galen looked up and slightly to his left to see a human man.
"It certainly is a beautiful piece. How much for it?" Galen asks.
While it's true, you didn't have to exchange goods or currency for foods or cloth, for goods like this, they did require some form of payment due to the challenges for finding certain gems and then shaping and crafting them like this
"For you, only two silver pieces, Sir." The man said, politely.
Galen was a little surprised. That was a pretty low price for something like this. At the most, he would've thought three gold pieces or two gold pieces plus one silver piece.
Luckily, he kept a pouch of money on him just in case. He still had quite a bit of money in it too since he rarely had to use any of it.
He went and opened the leather pouch connected to his waistband by a metal clip. Then he fished out some coins and took two silver pieces from the tiny handful he was holding.
Galen then gave the two pieces to the man.
"Thank you, Sir. Would you like a tiny pouch to put it in?" The man asks.
"Yes, please, thank you." Galen replied.
The man nodded. Then he turned around and reached into one of the small boxes by the chair he set up behind the stand to sit in. He then pulled out a tiny, thin leather pouch and handed it to Galen.
Galen took the pouch and put the necklace in it and then tightened the pouches thin leather cord to close it shut.
"Thank you again." Galen told him.
"You're welcome, Sir. Enjoy. And have a nice rest of the day." He says.
"You as well." Galen said, then he left the stand behind and headed back to the book stand where Noelle was.
When he got there, he saw she had a couple books in hand. One looked to be the wildlife book he picked out for her and the other looked to be that fairy tale book.
He approached her and came to stand beside her, then tapped her shoulder to get her attention and let her know he was back.
Noelle shifted her gaze to see Galen next to her.
"Hey, you see anything at the other stand you went to?" She asked.
He shrugged, "Some interesting things. But that's it. You still looking?"
"Not really, I think I'm good with these two. I may not be able to fit other more important things in my pack if I were to get any more than this." She replied.
Galen nodded, "Alright, if you're ready we can go then."
"Ok." Noelle said.
The pair left the book stand and scoped out a few more others.
They did end up checking out some of the clothing stands and even bumped into Sanja's friend who owns one of these clothing stands, the one named Orla. She had quite the selection of items.
Though Noelle blushed like hell and quickly dropped one item back onto the table when Orla asked if she was expecting because what she was holding up was a baby blanket.
Even Galen coughed into his hand to cover up the awkwardness.
They didn't really end up getting anything from the clothing stand but did end up laughing off the awkwardness of Noelle picking up the baby blanket after they left the stand.
He also couldn't resist teasing her about it either while they walked back to Nemus and Sanja's home.
"So, thinking ahead, are we? Don't you think you're going a little fast, looking at items for infants?" Galen teased her.
Noelle snorted, "Nah, was just looking for a baby rattle for you that could go with the blanket."
Galen arched an eye ridge at that.
"Really now? And what could I possibly do with that? Besides maybe bop you over the head with it when you annoy me." He joked.
"I just figured it would keep you occupied when you got bored." She countered.
"Or maybe you are thinking ahead. So, when did you plan on wanting to start having children and can I volunteer to help you with that?" Galen continued on with the jokes.
As luck would have it, he said that last joke right as she was drinking from her waterskin and ended up spitting it out and spraying it onto the dirt road in front of her.
Then her shicked gaze quickly went to him.
"Galen!?" She blurted out, all red in the face.
This only made him laugh.
"What? I was just saying, the offer is on the table." He said between laughs.
"Ow!" He then said, and started to rub his bicep, after she gave him a solid sucker punch to it.
"Watch it, or you're going to get a swift kick to your hairy balls next. See if you can still have kids after that." She retorted.
The chimp flinched when she mentioned kicking him in his privates.
"Ok, ok! I'm done!" He blurted out with his hands held up in surrender.
Noelle grinned triumphantly, "Good."
"Besides, I'm not a public exhibitionist with that kind of activity. Like Nemus stated earlier, we'd have to save it for the bedroom." She added, with a smirk.
Galen's face lit up a bright red in color and he started choking on air. Now, it was Noelle's turn to laugh.
After getting over the initial shock, he shook his head and a small chuckle left him.
"Well played, Butterfly. Well played." He said, calling her by the nickname he gave her.
"Thank you." She stated proudly.
Amusement was still ever present in his eyes by her antics and words as they walked back.
It seems, they still have yet to cease to amuse one another. Something tells him they may never run out of ways to do so. Which was fine with him because he enjoyed it, and something told him she enjoyed it too.
He also wanted to figure out a good time to give her the necklace he bought for her.
He supposed he had plenty of time to think about it. Since they were going to probably be here for another day or so. Though for some reason, he was a little nervous in doing so.
Galen just kept reminding himself, she would like it and he had nothing to be nervous about. It was just a nice gesture on his part after all, right?
Until Next Time ;)
