A week before our final exams, the intruder alarm went off, all hero course students on high alert as we prepared ourselves, on the off chance that we had to help. After all, we'd had to defend ourselves before. If the League decided to do a full-on attack, we were ready.

No one expected that we'd have to go help, but we were on U.A. grounds, so it made sense that they'd use this moment to teach us. Of course, we didn't expect that our understanding of the universe was going to expand from this encounter.

Running to the intruder, I was focused on getting through what looked like wooden armor, breaking it into pieces, but I flew through him, tumbling a little before turning and facing him or myself?

"What the actual fuck?" He said, and I noticed his skin was green, and his voice was different than mine. But he looked like me. He wasn't an exact match, but enough I was puzzled, moving closer to inspect him.

"No way! This isn't fair! I thought this was a time travel trip, not some multiverse bull crap!" He yelled angrily, oddly enough doing so in English.

"Okay, here's the plan. Someone contact the Justice League, and I'll work out how to get home from there." He decided, switching back to Japanese.

"What's a justice league? You League of Villains losers tryin' to rebrand?" Bakugou asked, looking pissed that he hadn't gotten a shot in. But when he saw my attack fail, he probably decided to wait and see what was happening.

"What? No, I'd never work with the League of Villains. Don't you guys have the Justice League? You know, Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, uh, well, it's a big team, I don't know who's on the team at any given moment. Oh no, is this before the League forms? Wait, do you guys not have a Justice league?" The stranger asked, and upon seeing our faces, he sighed and floated around aimlessly.

"Do you guys know what the multiverse is?" He questioned, and Kaminari answered.

"Like, from Glick and Marty?" The blonde asked, and the stranger sighed, looking like he wanted to smack him but kept his cool.

"You mean Rick and Morty? Actually, let me just explain it. My name is Izuku Midoriya, and I'm from an alternate universe. Think about the multiverse like a tree. The trunk represents the main timeline, and the branches represent the alternate timelines, each of them slightly different from the last. Now, imagine an infinite orchard of trees. That's the multiverse. Any questions?"

I was still trying to figure out what he meant. How could he be me? Another me, from another timeline? What did that mean for me? Did my actions matter if someone else out there was doing the exact opposite?

Aizawa looked at the stranger who claimed to be me and pointed at the ground.

"Down. Now." My teacher told him, and surprisingly enough, he listened.

"So, I'm guessing you're me of this universe. If there's no Justice League, does that mean there's no meta genes?" The stranger asked me as he made a little flower creature, holding it in his hands proudly.

"Is that like a quirk?" I asked him, excited to learn a bit about where he was from.

"Kinda, but a meta gene can awaken at any point in your life. I was born quirkless, but one day, when I fell off a roof, my meta gene kicked in. That's how I can make myself intangible. Later on, I actually had my DNA changed on a molecular level, giving me control over plant life and powers I honestly should use more." He told me, and I didn't really understand the difference, but there wasn't time for me to ask everything I wanted.

"Wait, are you a foreigner?" Yaoyorozu asked him, and his mood shifted from nonchalantly taking care of his flower thing to looking at her sadly.

"I was born in Japan to my parents, Inko, and Hizashi. When i was four and diagnosed as quirkless, we moved to Gotham City, New Jersey. A few days later, someone killed my mother in a mugging, and I was put into foster care. One day, I ran away, joined up with some well-known supervillians, and I spent a few months training with them as their son. It was stupid, but I wanted to belong so badly. Some stuff happened in between, where I helped save the city, and after a jury found me not guilty, I decided I wanted to be a hero and save people."

His story was impressive, and I wondered if it had any merit to it or if he was just distracting us until help arrived.

"What happened to your father?" Iida asked, and I saw a look of shame on his green face.

"My father, thinking his family dead, returned to Japan where he resumed his criminal activities. Recently, I helped take my father down, but at the expense of nearly an entire prefecture. Listen, I'm willing to tell you guys everything, but I'm guessing you want me to tell the police, am I right? Well, if that's the case, I don't want to repeat myself over and over." He told us, an array of emotional flashing before he laid in the air lazily, kind of pissing me off. How could he act like an Airheaded ditty?

"So, hot shot, tell me about this world. What are you like?" He asked me, and I looked at Aizawa, who shook his head.

"You tell some big whoppers American, but I'm not gonna tell you anything."

"Fair enough. But surely someone can just tell if I'm lying. Do you guys have a Shinso? Couldn't you just let him mind control me?" He asked, a couple of squad cars pulling up.

"Guess not. When I get out, I'll still need help getting back home." He called, walking over to the police and getting down on the ground.

"Let's hurry this up, fellas. I got shit to do." He told them, getting cuffed and put in the back of a cruiser.

"That was weird. Oh, well." I finally decided, heading back to class and pushing the weirdness of it all out of my mind. He'd spun a pretty good tale, but he also trespassed onto private property.

I didn't think too much more about what had happened, not until a day later, when a head of green hair and skin made him look like the witch from that old movie with the golden road.

"Hey hey, class 1-A. Guess who managed to convince the local authorities and hero commission I'm not a threat or from this universe. So, until I can get back to my universe, my job is simply to help you guys improve since my timeline is a little ahead." He told us, doing a weird dance for a moment before he sat down at a students desk that was next to Aizawas.

"So, where are you guys at?" He asked, pulling out a plant creature from his pocket and giving it a jelly pouch.

"We're going to do our exams soon, before summer vacation." Yaoyorozu told him, and he nodded.

"Yeah, I jumped in literally right before then, so I don't know how that works out for you guys. I'm a transfer student, and my entrance exam happened during the summer camp adventure. But, I can help you all improve how you use your quirks, so you do better than my class did. Oh, hey, since I'm in this class, and there's twenty people, where's the guy I replaced? Oh, there you are. Man, you are short." He told us, looking at Mineta, and I wondered what the hell kind of shit he did to get to be an exchange student. I guess he did mention helping to save a whole city.

"Thanks to information from Midoriya two here, your camp training is going to be postponed while U.A. makes changes to how we monitor and provide safety for our students." Aizawa told us, and while it was disappointing that we weren't going, there had to be a reason.

"These next few days are gonna be hell regardless. Any training you do will be with me, and I beat the big three in my world. That's the top three third year students, the closest to becoming the hero, even among pros. I'll show you how a villain fights and have you use your quirks to the fullest." My copy told us, and we got excited.

"Can we fight now?" I asked, kind of pumped at the thought.

"Ha, like you could keep up. But, if Aizawa doesn't mind, I'll show you the gap in our powers." He agreed, and Aizawa shrugged.

"Do what you want."

Heck yeah. How many times in my life would I get the opportunity to fight myself?

Once we were all in our gym uniforms, we looked at my doppelganger, and we weren't sure who should go first.

"Okay, me, I assume you're the strongest one here, physically at least since you wanted to fight so badly. Give it a go." He told me, and I felt the power in my body, moving quickly, aiming a punch to his stomach before something him me in the gut, vines and roots used like my blackwhip.

Taking a second to catch my breath, I moved back, black whip covering my like armor as I thought about my approach, letting others take over as I whispered a plan to Kaminari.

Once we were in position, I distracted my doppelganger, while Kaminari charged electricity and rushed him from behind, before vines and roots shot up and covered him, shielding him from the electric attack.

"Do you think I'm not aware of my own weaknesses? That the plant life surrounding us doesn't tell me where you are? I am a protector of the green." He told us, pausing and walking away.

"Hey, where you going? We're just getting started." Kirishima asked, and he waved for us to follow him.

"I think I might have a way back home, or at least a way to contact home. Of course, this could be a whole lot of nothing. But if it's not, someone needs to carry my body when I pass out." He told us, and I wondered what kind of crap he was doing, taking us out to a tree and putting his hands to it, closing his eyes.

After a moment, his body went limp, and I moved to catch him, keeping him from hitting the ground. Jesus, what the actual hell was happening?

Kirishima and I took him to Recovery Girl, neither of us exactly sure what had happened.

"Man, I'm weird in every universe." I joked with the redhead, the two of us chatting about the possibility of what his world was like, Kirishima suggesting that they were all green. I wanted to know more about the whole meta gene thing. Imagine a world of people just developing powers for no reason. Or maybe there was one. I didn't understand it too much, like I didn't understand the whole multiverse thing still.

Once he dropped off the other me, we went back to class, the rest of the day going fairly smoothly, even if there was an air of excitement. If he'd managed to so easily convince the authorities and hero commission he was from another world, it had to be true, right?

The next day, only a few days from our exams, and he was up and walking around, walking around frantically and talking with teachers and Nezu in the halls.

By this point, we'd all seen him, most of the school had. We'd seen him talking to the different departments, wearing my costume and having it changed around. Well, I did have plans for a new costume, so it wasn't too much of a loss, but so close to our exams meant that the support course would have to work extra hard to get me ready.

Cornering me alone, he had a request, and I admit, i was on guard in case he tried something.

"Listen, I should be good gear wise. But I need to be ready physically. If you're as smart as I am, you should pass your written with flying colors. My meta powers are just kind of instinct, I know how to use them since I've had them for so long, but my quirk, I can't use it very well. I can charge a little bit of power, but if I had to guess, I'd say less than two percent." He spoke to me after classes, and I knew that while I did need to do homework, I couldn't just turn down someone who needed help. Plus, if his quirk was the same as mine, maybe I could figure out how to use all of my raw power without having muscle spasms.

"Sure. I'll ask Mr.Aizawa to be there so you don't hurt yourself." I told him, trying to bolster confidence and hoping I didn't come off as mean.

"Good. I'd hate to accidently blow my limbs off, using too much power." He replied with a laugh, leaving me to wonder if his quirk was like mine. Did he also get One-For-All?

"You said you were quirkless. Where did your quirk come from?" I asked, watching him think for a moment before he finally answered.

"Same as yours, I assume. Sure as hell didn't come from dear old dad." He told me, and that answered nothing, until he continued. "One-For-All, a power stockpiling quirk, able to be passed from one user to the next."

So he did have One-For-All. Man, I wondered if his was any different than mine. Did it work the same? Was his two percent stronger than my limit? Did he get blackwhip and float, too?

"Okay, we're doing this now." I decided, texting All Might and asking him to get Aizawa to come with him to the training room immediately.

Of course, in hindsight, I can see how he was so worried, especially when I didn't answer back, heading to get into some shorts and t-shirt. I wanted to be comfortable when I did this.

"You okay, Midoriya, kid?" The number one hero asked me, and I looked up from my notebook.

"Oh, hey, All Might. Thanks for coming. The other me said he had the same quirk, so I figured you and Mr.Aizawa could help us train without serious injury." I smiled and gave the two heroes a wave.

"I thought he said he was quirkless?" Aizawa asked, and I realized we'd been caught in a lie.

"I was considered quirkless too once." I reminded him, hoping to deflect the blame before he nodded and looked at the other me.

"You ready?!" The green me called, and I nodded, powering up to my limit, green electricity sparking off me as I lifted off the ground, and blackwhip covered my body.

"Don't hold back! Clench your butt and feel the power, then release it!" I yelled back to him, watching him do as I said, nothing happening that I could see.

"Alright, I'm powered up!" He called to me, pulling his arm back and releasing the power he'd gathered, the impact knocked away as I flicked my fingers and powered down. Man, he really needed the basics.

"You're thinking too hard about it. Your power, it's part of you. You have to feel it, connect with it. Close your eyes, focus on the feeling as you power up, and then steadily push the amount you can use. And if that's not enough, you aren't alone. Literally. They know what I mean."

He grumbled under his breath, but he didn't argue, closing his eyes and doing as I said, the power filling him until his body started to give off the same kind of electricity I was, only his wasn't green like mine, it was purple.

"I-I can feel it. It's filling me, adding strength to my meta powers." He told me, and just as suddenly as he arrived, he disappeared, and all I could do was hope he made it home safely.

"God speed, Izuku Midoriya." I muttered softly, waiting a moment longer before turning and going to study for finals.

(I hope you enjoy me shamlessly plugging my other story, "The Emerald Knight." Right now theres a multiverse arc, so if you like this story, please check it out)
