Ok everyone, Enjoy.
Standing was difficult. It was a first for him, he's been hurt before. He's been hurt loads of times throughout his life. But it's never been this bad before, he was covered in snow but he couldn't really feel the coldness of it, it was more the texture that was pressed against his bare chest and arms. He was laying on his stomach as he tried to find the strength to pick himself up.
It is not an easy thing to do given all that has happened. Alt knows exactly what that was, while he was amazed that he was able to survive a fall to the ground from orbit. He did not doubt that his dad and his team would want to perform some tests on him again and, at the very least write a couple of reports about what his surviving that will mean for his durability. But that can wait as well.
Because he knew damn well what was happening. He's been knocked out for a… he didn't know how long but based on the echoes in the distance, he knew the fighting had reached the city. He tried to move but it felt like his arms were broken. He only just had the strength to crawl forward. From what he could tell, he landed in the mountains near the city, he remembered seeing them when he was here last with Serin. The sun was high in the sky but it wasn't shining on him.
When he hit the mountain, he must have made this crater which was blocking the light from hitting him. He had to change that, chances are when he made it to the top of this fucking hole and got some light on his skin, he would be back to his old self in a few minu…. He let out a sigh, who was he kidding it could take literal days for him to back to normal. A few minutes would be a fucking miracle.
He moved slower than he ever remembered moving before, he wasn't even crawling at this point. Slowly moving across the ground like a snail, his hands and feet not leaving the ground as he pushed himself forward, something that was getting harder to do due to the slope he was moving up. He was so exhausted that he couldn't even focus on the battle, he wanted to listen in, to see how bad it was. To try and find out how much trouble everyone was in so he could use the adrenaline everyone was in so he could push himself further.
"Ggghhhhrrrr" he growled to himself as he reached out with his hand and gripped the top of the crater. 'Nearly there now' he thought to himself as he reached out with his other hand "Come on, come on" he said to himself "Move you fucker…. Gonna let…... some gravity stop you" he added allowed as he pushed further and further.
At least until he heard a crack in his left leg, and another groan escaped him "That's probably bad" he spoke to himself again "I'll panic about it later" he fitted his teeth even harder as he pushed himself, his feet digging into the ground, the stone cracking under his strength. Both his hands dug into the top of the craters and with a far greater show of strength than he thought he would need, His head slowly peaked over the horizon but he didn't let that stop him, he kept on going and going until he was high enough to bring his leg over.
"Yes!" he yelled in triumph as most of his body made his way over the wall of rock and dirt. He lay on top of it with his arms and legs spread, he could feel the sunlight on his skin, already feeling better. He opened his eyes and looked up at the blue sky, the white clouds, the balls of fire… he frowned slightly and squinted his eyes.
Balls of fire?
Yeah. He could count at least thirteen already, with more being added. Most likely pieces of debris from the ships in orbit. He knows that this was a bad idea but he also knew he didn't have a choice. He turned his head to the left and into the direction of the city.
Whatever good feeling he had after finally getting into the sunlight was washed away like sand in a river. He frowned and his jaw dropped in horror as he gazed at the city. He was lucky he landed on the side of the mountain range and not in the middle or he would never have been able to see it so soon. He would have had to either wait till he was healed enough to move on his own or hope for someone to find and extract him. From where he was now, he could see it all clear as day. Large flares of smoke rose from the city outskirts, he could see yellow rounds from AA guns fire up into the air, the enemy corvettes were in the air and closing in. Delta squad looked like it was on its last legs and from what he could see, it was amazing that the Ajax was still in the air at all. That wasn't the worst thing however, just shy of the city borders he could see the Supercarrier, still in the fucking air?!
True it looked worse than the Ajax did but what did that matter? All it had to do was drop out of the sky and it would crush the city as well as everyone in it. After all the shit he just went through to bring that fucker down and it was still there. Just as he was able to close his jaw in anger at the sight, it dropped again when he saw what for a second he thought were flies in his vision but then he realized that they were fighters, banshee's hundreds of them.
"Fuck!" he cursed to himself as he moved. An action he regretted immediately as he now found himself rolling down the side of the crater he made "Ow, fuck, shit" he cursed aloud as he found himself going down quicker and quicker. The few glimpses of the direction he could see as he rolled showed him he wasn't going to be stopping any time soon, he was falling down the whole mountain "FUCK!" he shouted as he found himself unable to stop the descent.
His frontal guard where already on the ground when he reached it, and the ground broke before his might. The dirt and muck were kicked by his landing, and his legs bent as he reached the ground but there was no pain. He was quick to stand up straight and look up at those around him.
The frontal guard as the name implies, were troops who trained and specialized in front-line warfare, being the first ones to advance on the enemy. Naturally, the second Krypton's Wrath stabilized itself in the air. They deployed to the ground in force, ready for his word. The guard was made up mostly of the Jiralhanae, there were smaller groupings of Sangheili and Unggoy. Only a small amount of the Kig-Yar, not that it would make too much of a difference, he would be doing much of the work this time around. Despite how eager he seemed for battle, he had his orders from the acting Captain General. He will retrieve Kal-El and bring him home to his people, with him by their side they shall finally be able to gather the information within the locked systems of the Keyship.
Where this Kal-El is, he does not know but based on all known data. He would reveal himself soon enough, he just had to break the toy he seemed to favour so much "My Lord" a voice called to him, he turned his head and watched as Cethegus, leader of the frontal guard approached him. Carrying his large gravity hammer over his shoulder, though he was quick to place it on the ground as he kneeled "We are ready to lay waste to this still living city" his words were quick and to the point as always.
Nam-Ek stepped forward and took a closer look at the city in front of them. The fighting was still taking place within its borders based on the sounds of weapons fire he could hear. That was good, they would be ready for them. He glanced up into the sky and saw a small number of the human ships hovering in the air, still firing at his own ship, for all the good it did with their small slug throwers. The lead ship looked like it would go down if he so much as threw a pebble at it.
Of course, the Assault carrier on the ground on the city outskirts was noticeable but it was inconsequential. It wouldn't get in the way and all those who survived the crash would no doubt be readying themselves for combat. He looked back over his shoulder to Cethegus who was still kneeling, ready for his command. As he looked around himself, he saw all of the frontal guards, over a thousand of them in marching formations ready to move on his word "Began" he ordered as he started to walk forward towards the city.
"FORWARD!" the leader shouted as he rose to his feet and raised his hammer over his head. Though not before pointing the hammer forward towards the city. It wasn't a mad sprint to the fighting first, a controlled march. Nam-Ek continued to hold his pace forward, the frontal guard moving on either side of him, the Wraiths slow movement allowed them to stay with the troops.
Jorge has yet to move from his spot near the window. The only one on the floor that wasn't shattered, he could only make out a couple of specs of land in front of them through all the smoke that was coming from the downed Assault carrier under them. He made out the Supercarrier in the air and just seemed to be tanking MAC rounds from the Delta squad that attacked with little effect.
The militia soldiers seemed to be slumped against the walls and desks, taking a much-needed break from all the stairs. Half of the ODSTs were joining them in that regard while the rest stood guard near the stairs, keeping an eye out for any enemies that tried and reached them.
The only Spartan didn't feel like the need for a rest yet and stayed where he was, kneeling as it made it harder to be seen. Using his helmet visor as a means of seeing through the smoke. He could make out the specs of a ground force but it was difficult to see just how big it was with all the smoke "Spartan 052 to command. How copy?" he said into his radio.
It wasn't Watts that answered but I voice he didn't know, he assumed that it was someone in the command room within the council building "Solid Copy 052. Report?" a woman said.
"Supercarrier is holding position but it's also deploying a large ground force, exact size is unknown. He was requesting visuals from ships in Delta squad. Over" he said as he tilted his head, for a moment he thought he made out a large figure in black within the force but the smoke covered it up before he could confirm. Calling the image blurry would be an understatement, he couldn't activate the 'God Fall' protocol without solid proof.
"Hey, what's the word big man?" a voice called to him and he turned to see one of the militiamen slowly make his way over towards him. Though happy that he wasn't afraid to talk, that didn't stop Jorge from raising a hand to stop him from moving a gesture downwards as a means of telling him to get to his knees, they were all exposed to enemy fire after all. Something he did quickly enough and slowly moved towards him "What's going on?" he asked.
Normally he wouldn't have told them a thing, but considering how this was going, they had the right to know "The Supercarrier is landing ground forces, they'll reach the city in a few minutes" he said as he turned back out the window.
He wasn't quiet about his words "shit" one of the ODSTs said with a shake of the head.
"How many?" the man next to him asked.
The Spartan looked over his shoulder towards him "Enough for us to hold out for a while, assuming with don't lose Delta squad. We've lost contact with the Ajax but it's still firing. If we can still request bombardment from them, we should be able to hold up well enough. If we lose those Frigates then the cities lost" he couldn't not add the morbid news onto his words, like he said, they had the right to know.
"But…" another voice said, one of the militias that were sitting near the desks spoke up "They can do it right? They can hold up until help gets here" There was no denying the desperation in his voice.
"Normally no" It wasn't Jorge who said that but the ODST that was near the door "In naval combat we need at least a three to one number advantage to have a chance. Thankfully, that's not the case here. Delta squad isn't trying to blow up the Hinge Head ships, they're trying to bring them close enough to the city so our Lance missile can bring them down" he explained.
"The same as… that one?" he asked back, nodding his head to the window. Indicating the Assault Carrier that they only just climbed higher then.
"Yeah, except it just be easier. Delta squad had to bring the shields down on that ship before the Lance missiles could fire. The Corvettes are smaller and weaker, chances are the missiles could go through them on their own"
"So why not just fire them now, the Corvettes are in range right?"
"Sure, but range isn't the problem. If we fired them now, chances are they'll be shot down by some anti-missile defences we don't know about. We can't take the chance, they need to get closer"
"Access to outer Hull keel cameras from UNSC frigate Maidens Fall has been granted 052" Jorge turned his head away from the conversation and focused on the inner workings of his helmet. The visor that gave him a view of only smoke was replaced with the live camera screen showing a view of the battle from the underbelly of one of the ships in Delta squad.
He was given full control and he took advantage of it, the first view he could see was a city on fire. While he had seen many different ruined cities in this war already, this was hardly the worst, many buildings were still standing and the lines of defence were still holding against the increasing enemy numbers. Not on the ground but in the air, he could see swarms of enemy Banshees slowly grow and grow, the streets and rooftops were being shadowed by so many fighters, they were blocking out the sunlight, helped by the smoke from the fires and ships.
Turning away from the city for now, Jorge directed the camera north towards the enemy forces, the view wasn't the best, not by a long shot but it was still a view which was more than he had now. He saw large formations of troops marching forward towards the city, he would say that ground force was equal to their own. That was good, if both forces were the same size the defenders took the advantage. He saw the tanks and Ghosts, they would be a problem but those in the sniper nests should get a good angle on the pilots due to the high positions despite what he thought, he wasn't looking at the numbers specifically. He needed to be sure before he made the call.
He zoomed in and tried to make sense of the blurry images, he looked at the thin lines between the rows of the formation, the figures that stood away from the others and could make out the alien form easily enough. For a moment, one single moment Jorge felt that they might just make it out of this.
Then it was taken away. He froze the image the microsecond he spotted it. in the middle of the two formations of troops near the front. He saw it, a large figure in black armour 'It could have been anything' a part of his mind spoke to him, it could have just been a large Elite or a Brute, it could have been high in rank explaining the armour colour. But there was no hiding the shape of its body, how human it was. There was only one enemy race that matched the description given to them by Atlas and the Engineer.
"This is Spartan 052 to all ground forces" he said into his radio, earning the attention of the others around him who all turned to look "God Fall protocol is now in effect. I repeat God Fall protocol is in effect. How copy?" he finished.
"What!?" one of the ODSTs shouted from his position near the doors to the stairs, quickly turning around to look at him while the others looked at him in horror, or they would have done were they not wearing their helmets.
The militia all looked at him and then confused "The what?" one of them asked.
"No no no no no" Another of the ODSTs slowly dropped to his knees and nearly fell on all fours.
"The fuck is God Fall?" another asked.
"NO NO, YOU'RE LYING, NOT AGAIN!" the man by the door shouted. Upon seeing some of the best soldiers the UNSC had started to break down upon hearing the news, and the militia started to panic. Jorge couldn't blame the ODST, Thomas Millar was like most of the other ODSTs present, with Atlas when the Kryptonians were first encountered on the battlefield.
"Spartan 052. This is 117, God Fall protocol active, confirmed?" John said to him through the radio, doing so on an open frequency so everyone could hear.
"Confirmed, one individual, Supercarrier must be his. Sending images now" he added, sending a screenshot of the frozen image to him.
"What the fuck is God Fall!" one of the militia finally shouted.
"God Fall" Jorge started as he stood up and turned around, making his way away from the window and towards the others who looked very uncomfortable "Is an emergency protocol taken when a specific hostile enters the battlefield" he stopped just shy of Thomas who was still going into shock, he placed his heavy machine gun on the ground before grabbing the ODST by his shoulder and hauling him up to his feet. The force behind gave the smaller soldier some airtime "Calm yourself!" He yelled "The fighting isn't over yet" he would have liked to have been gentler with the man and any man or woman who was suffering from PTSD but he couldn't take his time here "It's a full withdrawal and retreat. If Atlas isn't here, then we have no hope of victory, so we leave" he explained.
"What!" the Milita all spoke up, clearly outraged by the idea of abandoning the city "We can't leave. This is our home"
"If we stay then we die" Jorge said bluntly as he took a step away from the ODST and moved back to the window, though it was clear to the others that he was looking straight at the street below them.
"What the fuck do they have?" the one who moved to the window before asked him "We stayed when that fucker got here" he pointed out the window towards the Supercarrier in the sky, the others followed his finger and saw the front of the massive ship, they watched as round after round of MAC rounds went into it. Even with the shields down and every round digging deep into the hull, the ship refused to go down "What could be worse than that?" he asked.
"That's classified" Jorge's answer was quick and brutal, it was so automatic to him that he said it before he even thought about it.
"Bullshit!" he shouted back as he moved forward and grabbed the Spartan by the shoulder, Jorge could feel that he tried to pull him away from the window and look at him but of course, he failed "I'm not giving up my home without a damn good reason"
When he said those words Jorge turned around and looked down at the smaller man, he could understand the reasoning but he knew that it was information some civilian, at least in UNSC standards was not allowed to have. But everyone always did say he was too soft. He let out a loud sigh before reaching up and taking his helmet off his head with a hiss. Everyone stared at him with a mix of surprise, even the ODSTs, he didn't doubt that this was the first time they saw a Spartan without a helmet. His tanned skin, shaved head and hollow eyes looked at him "God Fall protocol is an emergency retreat order that is to be put into place should a member of Atlas's race be spotted on the battlefield and he's not present to help us" he said to the man who's face lost the glare.
"Wha…." He heard one of the militia ask as they leaned against a nearby desk "What do you mean race?" he asked with a tilt of the head.
Knowing that he didn't want to tempt fate, Jorge moved further into the room and away from the window, he didn't want to give some sniper an easy kill "I don't know what you've been told regarding Atlas, whether he was a freak experiment, an even more jacked up Spartan-like me but the truth. Atlas is an alien" he told them, though he didn't notice that the ODSTs didn't look surprised, so they knew. He wasn't too surprised, these guys were a part of the Ajax crew, chances are they knew about Alt before this "his people are called Kryptonians. From what intel we were able to get from recused Engineer slaves, the Kryptonians lead the Covenant"
"He's….. he's an alien" One of the militia was able to get out before they were cut off by the sound of their radios all going off. Jorge was quick to place his helmet back on so he could listen to it.
"This Master Chief Spartan 117 to all UNSC forces. God Fall protocol is in effect, all defenders are to make an organized retreat to…" John started to tell them.
"Belay that order" Watts's voice cut him off and took over the signal "I understand the reasoning but we have nowhere to retreat too. If we bring ships from Delta squad down for extraction the rest will be overwhelmed and shot down. We have to hold the line. Atlas will be here, we have to hold until he does" he ordered them all and Jorge had to admit, the man wasn't wrong in some regards.
John didn't answer back for a moment and he didn't have to, someone else spoke up before he could "This is Doctor Allen Stevens on board the UNSC Ajax to all ground forces" As the voice spoke into the radio, Jorge frowned in confusion as he heard the doctor spoke, something the ODSTs all joined in on, at least he assumed so from behind their helmets. The man's voice was not well, it was haggard and almost gurgling "Atlas's transponder went off-line with the ODP, chances are he fell to the ground from low orbit but he's alive, I know he is. He just needs some time to regain his strength. I can give him that, all ground forces, focus fire on enemy invaders. We'll deal with the enemy ships, hunker down and brace for the mother of all shockwaves" With that last warning the signal cut out and they all looked around each other, wondering what he was talking about.
It was really hard to breathe.
It was the thought that was going through Stevens's head as he stumbled down the corridors of the Ajax, he left the intercom box that was placed against the wall and started to move to his destination. He hated this, he truly did but when he woke up in his lab he was on fire from all the damage. Opening his eyes, the first thing he saw was the dead bodies of his team, he knew exactly what they needed to do.
He was just going to really hate it and he knew Alt would hate this as well.
The corridor was mostly on fire, the walls were blown apart, and the pipes and wires from the ceiling had caved in, dangling from it and swaying with the ship's rumbles, did he mention the fires? He couldn't worry about that too much at the moment though. So, he continued to stumble down the corridors until he made it to the stairs, there being so little power in the ship at the moment, the heavy doors didn't open upon the command of the controls, so he had to shimmy his way through the small gap that was already there, a good protocol in the ship's design. When power is about to leave the noncritical systems, all doors are left slightly ajar so they can be used by the crew.
The stairs were just as bad as the rest of them, the heat burned his face as he made his way down, away from the top and towards the middle floors of the ship "Khane, please pick up!" he shouted into his own smaller radio, this wouldn't reach the ground but it would do for the ship. The ground rumbled again and his body collided with the wall, if he weren't in so much of a rush he probably would have noticed that his shoulder just got dislocated "KHANE!" he shouted again as he hopped over some debris and made it to the door for the floor he was hoping for.
Shimmering his way through the door again, he just about squeezed through, falling as he did so and when he landed, he came face to face with the dead eyes of a marine who was staring off into nothingness. He didn't feel horror or shock as he looked at the dead body, only sadness when he tore his eyes away and saw the large steel beam that must have fallen from the ceiling and crushed the man's lower body "KHANE, IF YOU'RE ALIVE YOU BETTER ANSWER!" he yelled again as he started to move down the corridor towards the large bulky doors.
"….Doc… bett… why?" Khane's voice came through his radio. He frowned for a moment as he heard it, there wasn't any static there to cut her off. So those pauses were her, she must be really hurt "What is it?" she asked.
"I have a way to take out the Supercarrier and most of the enemy ships" he said quickly as he reached the large door protecting his target, like all the others there was a small gap he could get through. The amount of noise coming through was not something he wanted to hear but he would take it.
Thankfully, the news seemed to snap Khane out of whatever pain she must be feeling "Well, congratulations Stevens. You might just save the day" The sarcasm in her voice was strong but that was a good thing, if she had the energy to be sarcastic then maybe she be alive enough to do what he says.
He pushed his way through the door and looked around at the chaos, he could see at least seven different engineers and three marines, all trying to work on the Slip Space core. It was making far too much noise, proof of how unstable it had become due to the damage and he didn't doubt that the electrical discharge would kill anyone it touched "ENOUGH!" he shouted as he limped his way forward and many heads turned to face him as he did so "Everyone! Get out of here, abandon ship! Now!" he shouted as he moved towards the primary console and started to type away quickly.
"Sir….. what are…. Are you?!" one of the engineers shouted at him, looking over his shoulders and seeing what he was doing.
"YES!" he shouted looking over his shoulder towards all the others "Abandon ship, RIGHT NOW!" he ordered and the others while no doubt shocked by what he was doing, quickly realized what he was doing meant and they all turned to run away.
"And… what exactly…. are you doing?" Khane's voice came back to him, clearly pained and losing consciousness no doubt.
"I'm overloading the Ajax's slip space core" he admitted with no worry or fear in his voice, something anyone should be feeling of course.
"Why exactly…. are you doing that?" she asked him, though before he could answer an automated voice sounded overhead.
"All hands abandon ship, this is not a drill. All hands abandon ship, this is not a drill. All hands abandon ship, this is not a drill" The message continued on repeat, telling Stevens that even if she didn't know why he was doing this, she didn't want to or couldn't stop him and just let it happen. Trying to get everyone off her ship before he could finish.
He didn't take a moment before speaking "It's been talked about and a running theory for a while in the scientific community" he started to explain as an explosion rocked the ground, nearly knocking him to the ground but he grabbed the console in order to hang on and stay upright "that if a slip space core can be altered in just the right way, it's mainly just rebalancing the core of the drive so that it doesn't line up right. If you do that in the correct way, you could cause a slip-space rupture that will expand by err…. Fifteen miles, give or take. Everything in that range will be transported right to oblivion" he finished explaining as the console screen was full of different warning signs.
"huh, a good enough distance to take out the Supercarrier and two of the Corvettes. If we position ourselves closer" she got the point quickly enough.
"Yep, so set the course in and get out of here while you still can" he added quickly enough.
"That's not an option. I'm not leaving" This was admittedly something he was afraid she would say.
"Ah come on" he added far too casually for someone who was about to die "You're a young woman with a lot of years left, you don't want to give them up here do ya?" he asked.
She was quiet for a moment "Stevens, everyone on the bridge is dead" The tone of her voice was clearly in pain but he also noted an edge of tiredness in it as well "Nearly every control console is destroyed, I'm missing my left arm and leg and my intestines are falling out of my stomach" his hands paused as they typed "There's no way I'm surviving this. If I'm going to die then I choose this death" the conviction in her voice was hard to ignore.
"Khane, if you and I both die…." He started, trying to find some way to make her see a way out, but with injuries like that, it was a difficult thing to do.
"You're worried about Alt" she interrupted him "Don't be, he's an adult, he'll get over it and think about it. With his mind, and his power, he could take over a lead our people to victory, the only reason he hasn't was because he was afraid of what ONI would do to us if he stepped out of line. Now he will have nothing left to lose. This will hurt him, probably a lot more than I think, but it will give him a means to take control without fear, he can save us all" he had no idea how she was talking so calmly but he had to admit, she was right.
"Understood. It's been an honour captain" he said as he finished everything up.
"FUCK!" he shouted as his body smashed through a large boulder that broke into pieces upon contact with him. Only then did he finally come to a stop. Alt was lying on his back as he stared at the blue sky, the only thing making any of this bearable was the sunlight that was now shining onto his skin, he could already feel better. Though he doubted it was enough to get him back in the fight any time soon.
At least that was what he thought before he was able to process the sounds hitting his ears, it was brutal. He could hear the sounds of weapons fire, the heavy humming of engines, the screams of the dying on both sides. There was so much pain and fear, he had to do something but as he tried to move onto his side and pick himself up. The pain in his body forced him back down, how the Spartans dealt with this and kept going he would never know.
"Hey Alt" a sound reached him, despite everything that was happening, he could hear his dad's voice. As he heard it, he instinctively grit his teeth as he forced his body onto its side, allowing him to really see the city that the battle was taking place in. His jaw dropped as he saw the state of things, he knew the second he saw it that they would not last without him. They were just too outmatched by the enemy. It didn't help that seeing the Supercarrier still in the sky was a kick in the teeth for him.
Though it wasn't until he saw how bad Ajax was that his heart started going into overdrive and he started to push himself ignoring the immense pain he was feeling. It was slow, but he was slowly able to get onto all fours and start crawling forward "I hope you can hear me, wherever you are. I have a plan that can turn this fight in our favour and give the guys on the ground a chance to win. Or at least by time until you can get here" he tried to push himself further, but he couldn't "I wish there was another way to do this, I really do… but my time has run out" Alt looked up as the Ajax's engines burned brighter as it shot forward, leaving the formation and making its way towards the Supercarrier "Alt when this all started I was really just a shell of a man, I lost everything I cared about and just about ready to do whatever ONI told me too. Until I saw you, a small innocent little baby boy that would cry and cry, only needing someone to pick up and let him know that it was going to be ok"
"NO!" he shouted as he started to understand what was happening, he brought his fist up and slammed it into the ground. Roaring in anger that he was unable to do anything more.
"Son, I want you to know that no matter what happens, you have made me the happiest and proudest father I could have ever been. There's not a day that went by when I didn't see you as a blessing, and I know without a single doubt that you can end this. I never wanted this for you, I never wanted you to be a weapon to be pointed at our enemies, I just wanted you to do what you wanted. But the truth is son, I need you to fight, we can't win this war without you" Alt looked up with tearing eyes as large and powerful electrical charges shot out from the Ajax as it moved past the bow of the Supercarrier and flew under it, going further back. He watched as it took shot after shot and kept on going "I don't know what madness or delusion grips the minds of these monsters, but I know that it's right to oppose them. I need you to fight here because it's the right thing to do. I love you son, I always will. Goodbye"
"NO!" Alt shouted at the top of his lungs as he saw the Ajax disappear into a huge powerful sphere that grew and grew, enveloping most of the Supercarrier, two of the corvettes and a lot of the ground as well before the entire thing collapsed in on itself and disappearing into nothingness. Taking everything with it.
And we shall call it there, yeah I wasn't sure how I was going to do this but I felt like a good way for Khane and Stevens to go. I know I wanted them to die at some point I just didn't know when or how but this feels pretty good.
Anyway, let me know what you think in the reviews and I'll see you in the next chapter.
