In the middle of a rock infested badlands, Megatron soared above the ground in his vehicle mode and transformed in the middle of a Decepticon mining operation, searching for something very important. Unknown to Megatron and the Vehicons, Optimus and Ratchet were spying on them from behind a large rock.

"Megatron?" Ratchet asked, sounding a bit surprised.

"It seems you detected the ancient Autobot frequency precisely because it was unearthed." Optimus deduced.

"Well, our backup shouldn't be far behind." Ratchet said.

"Without knowing what the Decepticons have exhumed, I do not think I am willing to wait." Optimus replied as he brought out his blaster and walked out of his cover.

Two Vehicons were seen drilling a hole in the middle of the crater before they reached what they were after, reaching down to grab it.

"Show me." Megatron called out from the top of the crater before the Vehicons showed him some kind of Cybertronian capsule. "Bring it to me, with utmost care."

One of the Vehicons approached Megatron it's the capsule in hand and the Decepticon leader opened the top lid to see what was inside.

"Megatron!" Optimus called out as he rushed to his old foe and aimed his blasted at him, making his presence known with Ratchet in tow. "I cannot allow you to pilfer Autobot relics."

"Not only are you misinformed, Optimus, but I will strongly advise you to lower your weapons." Megatron replied before taking out the item from the capsule, which was revealed to be an unusual Cybertronian disk. "Unless you're in the mood for mutually assured destruction."

"It can't be." Ratchet said with a shocked expression.

"The Spark Extractor." Optimus added, recognising the relic that Megatron was holding as some Vehicons surrounded them.

"Rather unassuming, yet capable of extracting every Spark within it's radius. And to think that you led me straight to it, Optimus. Or should I say Orion Pax did?" Megatron asked before noticing Optimus' restored Autobot emblem on his shoulder. "You really should have left your Decepticon shield intact, for you have no idea how useful your code-breaking skills proved to be, during our all too brief time together. Soundwave, send the Ground Bridge."

A Ground Bridge then appeared not too far from Megatron's position, which was obviously meant to bring him back to the Nemesis.

"Engage them!" Megatron ordered.

All of the Vehicons began charging at Optimus and Ratchet while firing their blasters at them, while Megatron made his way towards the Ground Bridge with the Spark Extractor in hand. Optimus activated his battle mask and began firing his blasters at the Vehicons, while Ratchet battled them with his duel blades. Three Vehicons from the crater watched the battle before they turned around and suddenly saw Bumblebee driving off a nearby mountain in his vehicle mode. The yellow Autobot drove his way around the Vehicons and drove his way up the crater while avoiding his enemies' blaster shots, speeding past Optimus and Ratchet.

"Bumblebee, secure the package!" Optimus ordered.

"Got it, Optimus!" Bumblebee replied, driving under a Vehicon and heading straight for Megatron.

As Megatron entered the Ground Bridge, Bumblebee followed him straight into it and saw the Decepticon leader in front of him. Bumblebee drove to the right side and transformed before grabbing the Spark Extractor in midair, taking it out of Megatron's hand and landing in front of him.

"What?!" Megatron asked in shock before bringing out his blade.

Bumblebee quickly transformed back into vehicle mode and managed to drive under Megatron, avoiding a stab from his blade in the process. Megatron yelled out angrily as he chased Bumblebee back to where he walked into the Ground Bridge as the yellow Autobot made it out. Megatron jumped out of the Ground Bridge and prepared to fire his arm cannon at the Autobots, only to see they had escaped with a bunch of deactivated Vehicons laying on the ground before the Decepticon growled in frustration.

At the Autobot base, Bumblebee was explaining his victory to the other Autobots and the Hexside Squad, while Optimus and Ratchet were studying the Spark Extractor in the other area. While Willow and Gus managed to easily heal up from their battle with Megatron at his Space Bridge, Amity was currently wearing an arm cast around her broken arm.

"And then, I did an awesome loop-da-loop behind Megatron and grabbed the relic from him before he even knew it!" Bumblebee stated, showing off some cool moves.

"Loop-da-loop, Huh?" Arcee asked.

"Really wish I could've seen that." Jazz said with an impressed smile.

"It takes good skills for a Scout like me to pull it off." Bumblebee replied while approaching the Hexside Squad.

"And you're definitely the best at what you do." Hunter said kindly as the two of them shared a high-five.

"Heh. You have some brass bearings, Bumblebee." Bulkhead complemented.

"You sure put the power in horse power." Luz quipped, chuckling a bit.

"And I'll probably be back to my awesome self once I'm fully healed." Amity said, looking at her arm cast.

"Optimus, here." Ratchet said to his leader, showing a holographic Autobot insignia on the Spark Extractor after scanning it. "The source of the ancient frequency we detected."

"An Iacon homing beacon." Optimus added.

"What's an Autobot locator doing on that?" Cliffjumper asked as he and the others approached them.

"The class-A Decepticon weapons confiscated during the war were sealed within the vaults bellow Iacon." Optimus answered.

"Where you once worked as an archivist." Bulkhead said.

"Iacon was both a cultural center and a stronghold, which Megatron raided when Autobot troops were at their nadir. It stands to reason that in anticipation of Iacon being overrun by enemy forces, these weapons were jettisoned off world to keep them far from Decepticon reach." Optimus explained.

"Clearly, the beacon was added as a safety measure, should the weapons ever be found by the undesired party." Ratchet theorised.

"Well we've already managed to get our hands on three of these things." Jazz reminded. "The Energon Harvester, the Polarity Gaunt and the Immobilizer."

"And thanks to our hotshot stunt driver, this new one's going in our vault." Wheeljack added.

"Do you think this is the only Intel you supplied to Megatron?" Arcee asked in concern.

"Arcee, you are right to ask. And I am afraid I…do not remember." Optimus answered, lowering his head.

"Optimus, Megatron clearly took advantage of your amnesia. But for all we know, this Spark Extractor is the extent of it. Have you stopped to consider that he might have suggested otherwise merely to plague your thoughts?" Ratchet questioned, making Optimus gain a thoughtful expression.

On the Nemesis, Megatron furiously slammed his fist onto the main terminal.

"The Spark Extractor was in my grasp! I should have removed more than that scout's voice box when I had the chance!" Megatron stated angrily.

He then turned around to face Soundwave, who approached the Decepticon leader and displayed two more signal locations on his screen face.

"Indeed, Soundwave. We possess two more sets of coordinates which Orion decrypted before departing our ranks." Megatron said. "Let us see what other long-lost treasures we might be reunited with."

The sky was dark in a certain part of the badlands outside of Gravesfield as Bumblebee was seen driving down the road. Just then, his radio scanner began to pick up a nearby signal.

"Jazz, I'm reading an unknown signal near my location." Bumblebee informed the Autobot lieutenant, who had joined him on patrol duty.

"Yeah, I just picked up the same signal." Jazz replied on the com-link. "Could be another homing beacon. How's about we rendezvous at the coordinates and check it out?"

"Sure." Bumblebee said, driving towards the signal's location.

He drove off the road and transformed into robot form when he got close enough. Bumblebee walked towards the signal and looked around before he then noticed what the source of it was, quickly rushing towards it for an inspection. It wasn't a Relic capsule, but a strange mechanical device that was emitting a weird beeping noise. Bumblebee heard another noise and turned to his right side before he suddenly got blasted by a powerful electric shot, falling back and shutting down. The attackers were shown to be Silas and his M.E.C.H troopers, who approached the fallen Bumblebee.

"Silas, another one's heading towards our position." A M.E.C.H surgeon told his leader. "Estimated arrival, two minutes."

"Work briskly." Silas ordered.

The surgeon grabbed a container case from one of the M.E.C.H troopers and approached Bumblebee, kneeling down to the side of his chest. He then took out a laser cutter from the Cade and began using it to slice through Bumblebee's metal body, while Silas watched with his arms folded. But unknown to Silas and his troops, Starscream was flying behind them in the sky and transformed before landing on a nearby mountain. The former air commander walked to the side and observed M.E.C.H doing their surgical work on Bumblebee.

"It would appear the signal was a trap. Better Bumblebee than me." Starscream said with a smirk.

As the M.E.C.H surgeon kept working, Silas kept lookout with a pair of binoculars before he saw Jazz driving towards their position.

"The backup is ahead of schedule." Silas informed.

"As luck would have it…so am I." The M.E.C.H surgeon replied, holding up a metallic object that was yellow and a bit circular.

"Move out." Silas ordered, approaching a nearby helicopter and getting into it.

The helicopter began to power up it's rotor blades as the other M.E.C.H troopers got into it, while Starscream decided to leave as he had a little idea. Bumblebee woke up and he saw the helicopter fly away, while Jazz finally arrived and transformed before rushing up to his teammate.

"Bee! You okay?" Jazz asked in concern, helping Bumblebee back up. "Who did this? Cons?"

"I can't remember." Bumblebee answered.

"Only one way to find out. Let's roll out!" Jazz stated before he ran ahead and transformed.

Bumblebee followed his teammate and was about to transform as well…only for his robotic body parts to stop for some reason. Bumblebee tried transforming again, but it just wouldn't work. Jazz noticed Bumblebee standing behind him and drove back towards him, transforming back into robot form.

"We rolling or not?!" Jazz asked in annoyance.

"I can't transform for some reason." Bumblebee told him, confused why his transformation wasn't working.

"What do you mean you can't?" Jazz questioned as Bumblebee gained a worried expression.

When they both arrived back at base and explained everything, Bumblebee was laying down on a medical table as Ratchet scanned him. The others watched from the sidelines as Hunter walked forward with a concerned look.

"Do you think you'll be able to fix him, Ratchet?" Hunter asked.

"Bumblebee was hit pretty hard. The stun blast may have fried his T-Cog." Ratchet assumed.

"T-Cog?" Gus repeated.

"Is that like the T-bones we have in our bodies?" Willow asked.

"Not exactly. It's the organ that allows us to scan vehicles and transform." Arcee explained.

"Every Cybertronian has one. If Bee's T-Cog got damaged, it could be a problem." Cliffjumper said.

"You're not wrong, Cliff." Bulkhead replied in agreement.

When Ratchet's scanner found what the problem was, the Autobot medic gained a shocked expression.

"By the Allspark. Bumblebee's T-Cog isn't damaged, it's missing." Ratchet said, much to everyone's astonishment.

"But, the Decepticons are able to transform, too. Why would they steal that?" Luz questioned.

"Megatron may be known to raise zombies, but he's no ghoul." Ratchet admitted.

"If Megatron and the Cons weren't behind this, then who was?" Vee asked curiously.

Luz, Arcee and Wheeljack looked at each other as they had a very good theory about who stole Bumblebee's T-Cog.

"The ones who cannibalised Wildrider." Wheeljack said with a stern frown.

"And tried to gut me." Arcee added.

"And threatened to hurt my mom." Luz scowled, clenching her fists slightly.

"M.E.C.H. And it would appear their knowledge of Cybertronian biotech has grown more sophisticated." Ratchet said.

"But why would they want Bumblebee's part?" Hunter questioned.

"I say we look for them and take back my T-Cog before they can do anything with it." Bumblebee said firmly as he got up and prepared to leave, only for Optimus to stop him.

"Bumblebee, please. You are not presently equipped to handle this." Optimus told him.

"But, Optimus, you don't know what it's like to loose an important piece of yourself." Bumblebee complained.

"You're mistaken, my friend. I do know what it's like to loose a vital part of one's self. And as a result, I know the value of putting one's faith in the strength of those around you. We vow to do everything in our power to make you whole again." Optimus told him sincerely.

"And if that doesn't happen, I'm sure that Ratchet will be able to build a new cog for you." Gus assured with a casual smile.

"I'm scrapped!" Bumblebee stated miserably before sitting back down on the medical table and putting his hands on his head.

"Bad choice of words, Gus." Amity muttered.

"What?" Gus questioned in confusion.

"Gus, a T-Cog is a bio-mechanism, not a scrapyard find. If it were that easy, don't you think I would've replaced Bumblebee's voice box by now?" Ratchet asked rhetorically.

"First I loose my voice, now I'm unable to use my wheels. I'm practically useless, right now." Bumblebee said in depression as Ratchet placed a hand on his shoulder.

"You're not useless, Bumblebee. We all know that." Hunter reassured.

"Thanks for that, Hunter." Bumblebee muttered, lowering his head in sadness.

"Alright, alright, I say none of us transform until Bee gets his cog back." Jazz told everyone.

"Your Spark's in the right place, Jazz. But I don't think now is the time to be limiting ourselves." Arcee admitted.

"Not with Megatron potentially seeking other doomsday devices. And, I fear, not while M.E.C.H uses Bumblebee's T-Cog for their own sinister purpose." Optimus said grimly.

"They also stole a few of my Glyphs last time we dealt with them. There's no telling what Silas plans to do with those." Luz proclaimed.

Inside a warehouse at an unknown location, a M.E.C.H trooper typed in some buttons on a terminal in front of him and turned to see a mechanical claw inserting Bumblebee's T-Cog inside a man-made robot that was the same size as a Cybertronian. Silas walked forward to begin their little project.

"Commence beta test." Silas ordered.

The M.E.C.H trooper typed at the terminal and the robot began to move it's hand, while it's chest and eyes glowed blue.

"Installation complete. Commencing scan." The M.E.C.H trooper informed before he made the robot scan a helicopter that was inside the warehouse, making it's schematics appear on the terminal. "Scan successful. Commencing transformation."

The robot began to make some mechanical noises, but it wasn't showing any signs of transformation. The M.E.C.H trooper typed in some commands on the terminal to try and make the transforming process work, but nothing was happening as Silas shot an impatient glare at his troop. The robot then completely shut down without transforming at all, until Silas heard a devious laugh coming from behind. He quickly turned around to see Starscream standing outside the entrance and the former air commander opened the door before he walked inside.

"You are the ones who turned poor Wildrider into a pitiful science experiment?" Starscream questioned, moving the helicopter's rotor blades out of his way. "Didn't learn much from the experience, did you."

However, Starscream saw a bunch of red lasers aimed at him while some M.E.C.H troops surrounded him with their rifles in hand.

"Enough to know where the soft spots are, Decepticon." Silas replied.

"Oh, please. I am no longer affiliated with that entity." Starscream muttered. "Besides, if I were to avenge that sword-wielding buffoon, you would be screaming for mercy by now."

"Why are you here?" Silas asked.

"To propose an alliance. You see, we have much more in common than you might think. And I am not merely referring to our battle scars." Starscream said while showing the scar Arcee left on his cheek.

"What could I possibly gain from such an arrangement?" Silas questioned, unconvinced.

"Insider knowledge." Starscream answered, smirking sinisterly.

After a few moments of silence, Silas gestured to his troops to stand down, which they all did so.

"Wise choice." Starscream said before he began advancing forward. "Now, a T-Cog isn't technology, it is biology. Which means it will reject any power source, other than Energon."

"Go on." Silas said, slightly curious.

"Energon is the fuel, the ammunition, and the lifeblood of all Cybertronians. Whatever their affiliation." Starscream explained as he stood in front of the robot. "You and I both want it, and currently I lack the means of locating it. But once I supply with the…"

He used his finger claw to scratch himself and placed a stain of Energon into the robot's core, making it power up again.

"Particulars of it's chemical makeup, we can utilise your considerable resources to devise the means of detecting new deposits. For us to share." Starscream said.

"If the supply meets M.E.C.H's rather significant demand." Silas proclaimed.

"Ah, intending to build an army, are you?" Starscream asked with a smirk. "I am no stranger to ambition."

Back at the Autobot base, Bumblebee walked up to Ratchet as the Autobot medic was working at the main console.

"Hey, Ratchet, any news about my missing T-Cog?" Bumblebee asked.

"Optimus, Bulkhead, Wheeljack and Jazz haven't reported in yet." Ratchet replied.

"So, when are they going to find it?" Bumblebee questioned.

"Bumblebee, I will let you know the moment I hear something." Ratchet said, starting to get a little irritated.

"So, how about now? Please, please, please?" Bumblebee asked as he began tapping on Ratchet's shoulder.

"For Primus sake." Ratchet muttered with a sigh. "Will someone keep him occupied so I can get some work done?!"

"Hey, Bee, how about a video game?" Hunter asked from the hangout platform.

"You can be a spectator." Vee told the yellow Autobot.

"Sure thing." Bumblebee replied, walking over to join the two of them, Willow and Gus.

When the yellow Autobot arrived, he saw that Willow and Gus were playing a racing game on their game console.

"Did it have to be a racing game?" Bumblebee asked as his mood went sour again.

"Uh, bad call." Gus admitted, noticing this along with the other three.

"Sorry, Bumblebee." Willow apologised.

"Hey, why don't we just quit this game and watch some TV?" Vee suggested.

"Okay." Bumblebee said with a nod.

After switching the game off, Gus used the remote to switch the television on and it unfortunately showed a commercial for Bumblebee's vehicle mode.

"The new Urbana 500. It won't just rock your world, it will transform it." A voice said on the TV.

There was a moment of stunned silence in the entire base as Willow, Gus, Hunter and Vee had very nervous expressions on their faces, until…

"MY LIFE IS A LIVING NIGHTMARE!" Bumblebee screamed in despair while clenching his head and turning away.

"Taking the auto out of an Autobot is pretty bad if you think about it." Gus commented.

"Bee, just relax. You're still a great scout, even without wheels." Hunter said reassuringly. "I mean, speed isn't everything."

Bumblebee felt a little bit better by his Witch friend's words, but then Arcee and Cliffjumper drove into the base with Luz and Amity riding them. The two Autobots pulled over, allowing the girls to get off them.

"So, how'd we do today?" Cliffjumper asked.

"That's gotta be your personal best, you two." Amity complemented with a smile.

"Yeah, you both managed to reach 120 at the same time." Luz added.

However, they noticed Bumblebee was standing in front of them and he narrowed his eyes in frustration.

"Uh oh." Luz, Amity, Arcee and Cliffjumper said in union.

"I need a break." Bumblebee said to himself, beginning to stomp away.

"Bumblebee, where do you think you're going?" Ratchet questioned.

"Outside for a walk." Bumblebee answered.

"You can't just go for a walk. We are robots in disguise. Leaving the base in this form puts you at risk of being seen, and of us being discovered." Ratchet reminded before redirecting him back to where he came from. "You'll just have to remain in the base until-"

"Until you can fix me! I get it! Just like you did when I lost my voice, forever!" Bumblebee yelled in anger before he stormed away, while the others looked on in worridness.

"Yes, Bumblebee. Until I can fix you." Ratchet whispered, starting to feel a little guilt inside.

The next morning, Hunter waited outside the Noceda residence by himself before he noticed Ratchet drive up on the road. The blonde witch boy ran up to Ratchet and got inside him.

"In you go." Ratchet said.

"Thanks for agreeing to take me to the base today, Ratchet." Hunter replied while fasting his seatbelt, allowing the Autobot medic to start driving.

"Where are the others?" Ratchet asked.

"They're all at the shack trying to think of other ways we can get back to the Boiling Isles. Even Flapjack is with them since he likes pecking on the wood so much." Hunter explained. "To be honest, I was actually expecting Bulkhead or Wheeljack."

"Well sorry to disappoint, but they're on watch duty." Ratchet replied. "You wanna ride with the siren on?"

"I'm a bit too old for that, Ratchet." Hunter admitted.

(Linebreak)

Bulkhead and Wheeljack were working at the main console before they noticed a familiar signal appear on the screen.

"Hey, is that what I think it is?" Bumblebee asked as he saw it as well and rushed up to them.

"It's gotta be another relic." Wheeljack deduced.

"I'll alert the others." Bulkhead said.

"I'm sure the three of us can handle it alone." Bumblebee replied.

"We know the three of us can handle it, Bee, but there's no reason to…" Wheeljack said before he sighed. "What're you trying to prove?"

"That I'm not useless when I'm unable to transform." Bumblebee answered.

Bulkhead and Wheeljack looked at each other before they rolled their eyes and sighed in defeat.

(Linebreak)

Ratchet was still driving Hunter through the streets of Gravesfield as the blonde Witch boy decided to start up a conversation.

"Ratchet, what happened to Bumblebee's voice box?" Hunter asked.

"It was…severely damaged in battle." Ratchet answered.

"How?" Hunter questioned.

"How do you think? Tragically, of course." Ratchet told him as he began to remember Bumblebee's origin. "It happened at Tyger Pax. Our brave scout was captured by Megatron's forces and interrogated. But he refused to provide Intel, and paid a grave price for his courage. Bumblebee was left for scrap, but Autobot troops found him and evacuated him to a triage facility, where a field medic managed to stabilise his condition."

"So, I guess that means we owe Bumblebee's life to that field medic." Hunter commented.

"That's one way of looking at it, I suppose. Though the medic…could have done better." Ratchet said softly, while Hunter slumped down in his seat.

(Linebreak)

In a Rocky Mountain area with trees, a Ground Bridge opened up and Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Wheeljack walked out of it.

"All clear." Wheeljack said before he let out an annoyed sigh. "Still don't know how you talked us into this, Bee. You're more of a handful than Gus."

"At least I'm not defenceless against Decepticons." Bumblebee retorted.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know." Bulkhead replied while holding a scanned as they walked forward.

"I can handle anything that gets thrown my way." Bumblebee assured.

"Not every mission ends in a high-speed pursuit." Bulkhead said. "But without your-"

"Can we just drop that matter, for now?" Bumblebee asked with an annoyed glare.

"Fine, we'll drop it. But if Optimus finds out, this was not our idea." Wheeljack replied.

"Sure, sure, whatever." Bumblebee said, waving his hand off.

Bulkhead looked at his scanner and saw the signal from earlier.

"Signal's coming from over there." Bulkhead said, looking at a cave in front of them.

"And it's coming our way, fast!" Wheeljack stated while taking a look at the scanner.

Suddenly, Knock Out drove out of the cave and it was obvious that he was in possession of the relic, driving past the three Autobots.

"Catch me if you can!" Knock Out shouted mockingly, driving down the nearby road.

"Jackie, let's get him!" Bulkhead told his fellow Wrecker.

However, they began hearing footsteps from the cave and they quickly saw Breakdown and Wildrider rushing out of it with their melee weapons ready.

"Not on our watch!" Wildrider stated.

"Bee, you get him!" Wheeljack ordered.

"Got it!" Bumblebee replied before chasing after Knock Out, while Bulkhead and Wheeljack engaged their rivals.

Knock Out continued to drive down the road as Bumblebee ran after him with just his metallic legs, but the Decepticon doctor's driving speed proved to be superior as he got further away and saw Bumblebee wasn't transforming.

"Sporting of you." Knock Out muttered.

When he came to a halt, Bumblebee attempted to bring out his blasters and shoot Knock Out, but they wouldn't shift out of his arms.

"What?! My weapons are locked out, as well?!" Bumblebee asked shockingly.

"You're not gonna even try and shoot out my tires?!" Knock Out questioned in disbelief, coming to a screeching halt. "Bumblebee, where's your famous horsepower, Huh?! Show me some speed!"

This agitated Bumblebee as he rush towards Knock Out and attempted to grab him, only for the Decepticon doctor to immediately drive away. Bumblebee noticed an outdated truck next to an abandoned gas station and he grabbed it before setting it onto the road, riding it down the road. Bumblebee carefully steered his ride on the road as Knock Out saw this on his side mirror.

"What is with the rent-a-car?!" Knock Out asked humorously.

Bumblebee kept chasing Knock Out, but then one of the back tires ended up falling off and his ride screeched along the road.

"I'd stick around and do some doughnuts around you, but I have a delivery to make." Knock Out said as the relic was shown to be in his back seat.

When the Decepticon doctor made a left turn and Bumblebee's eyes widened in nervousness as he saw that he was driving towards a cliff edge. Before he could do anything, he and his car ride bashed through the railings and over the edge.

"NOOOOOOOO!" Bumblebee yelled, falling down to the bottom as everything went black.
