In the middle of a forest, the Cybertronian ship known as the FlashFlood was seen parked in an open space as Seaspray leaned against it while twirling one of his sickles. Just then, a Ground Bridge appeared near Seaspray and he saw Wheeljack, Ratchet and Gus emerging from it.

"Sprays!" Wheeljack called with a friendly laugh.

"Jackie." Seaspray greeted, approaching his old Wrecker friend.

When both of them reached each other, they slammed their arms together as a way of greetings.

"Alright." Wheeljack and Seaspray said.

The aquatic Wrecker then turned his attention to Gus, who was standing next to Wheeljack's foot.

"Nice to see you again, kid. It's been a long time." Seaspray admitted.

"True. I wish me and the others could've been at the base to see you again when you crashed back to Earth with Dreadwing." Gus replied with a friendly smile as Emmiline crawled onto his shoulder. "But, it's really great to see you again, Seaspray."

"Thanks. So, Optimus thought you guys needed backup, Huh?" Seaspray asked.

"If you must know, Optimus feels strongly that you require supervision." Ratchet answered firmly.

"Relax. I'll make sure to be on my best behaviour, doc." Seaspray assured as Ratchet walked past him.

"Please, don't call me doc." Ratchet said, annoyed by that little nickname.

"Whatever you say…sunshine." Seaspray replied with a smug smile.

Wheeljack and Gus struggled to keep their humorous laughters within as Ratchet groaned, feeling he was not going to enjoy this mission. The group soon got into the FlashFlood and Seaspray flew his ship straight into the air, flying it towards where Ratchet said the coordinates were at.

"So, all of Team Prime is busy searching for these four Iacon relics?" Seaspray asked.

"The only four that me and the gang managed to steal from the Nemesis." Gus replied.

"There's more of them?" Seaspray questioned.

"A whole lot more, Sprays." Wheeljack told him.

"Megatron maintains possession of the entire Iacon database. We have yet to learn how many more relics or Decepticon weapons of mass destruction it contains." Ratchet explained.

"Don't worry about it, doc." Seaspray said calmly, once again getting on Ratchet's nerves. "I'll look out for you, Jackie and Gus."

"My name is not doc!" Ratchet stated. "And I do not require anyone looking out for me. I proved my metal during the War for Cybertron."

"Plus, I've got Illusion magic to keep myself safe in case we run into any trouble." Gus reminded.

"Then I'm glad you're all along for the ride, boys." Seaspray replied before he noticed a red dot appearing in his ship's radar. "Because we've got a bogie on our tail."

The hostile that was following the FlashFlood from behind was revealed to be Soundwave, who was already in his vehicle form.

"Uh, is that…?" Gus asked in worridness.

"Soundwave!" Ratchet exclaimed.

"Megatron's communications chief?" Seaspray asked as they saw him on a holographic screen acting as a rear view mirror.

"Yeah, and the Con who never likes to chat." Wheeljack added, glaring at Soundwave on the screen.

"He must be tracking the same coordinates." Ratchet guessed.

Soundwave began firing his laser at the FlashFlood and managed to hit it, causing Seaspray to fly his ship out of the way.

"You three might wanna grab onto something!" Seaspray warned before he steered his ship straight upwards.

Gus ended up falling off his seat with Emmiline crawling into his jacket, causing Wheeljack to quickly grab his Witch partner.

"I wish this ship had seatbelts in it!" Gus stated alarmingly.

"Are you trying to send us to the scrapyard?!" Ratchet questioned.

The FlashFlood did a loop-de-loop around Soundwave and got behind the communication Decepticon before Seaspray started firing his ship's blaster turrets at him. Soundwave skilfully flew around the sky and avoided the turret shots, until he ejected Laserbeak and the bird-like drone flew right past the FlashFlood.

"What's that?!" Seaspray asked in surprise.

"Soundwave's Mini-Con drone, Laserbeak!" Wheeljack replied.

Laserbeak fired his laser at the FlashFlood and Seaspray steered it around to avoid the shots, while Soundwave took the opportunity to fly down in a different direction.

"Seaspray, maintain pursuit." Ratchet ordered after seeing the communication Decepticon leave. "Soundwave is merely using the drone to distract us."

"I always welcome a good distraction." Seaspray said with a cocky smile.

"Oh boy, I recognise that look in his optics. You might wanna brace yourself, Gus." Wheeljack said in a concnerd tone.

"What do you think I've been doing?!" Gus asked rhetorically.

Laserbeak continued chasing the FlashFlood while shooting his laser at it, until the Autobot ship managed to fly behind him and retaliate by firing it's turrets.

"The hunter becomes the hunted." Seaspray quipped.

"This is no time to be hot-dogging!" Ratchet argued.

"No point in trying to chant Sprays' mind, Ratch!" Wheeljack admitted while holding onto Gus. "I speak from experience!"

Seaspray relentlessly pursued Laserbeak while shooting his ship's turrets at him, only for the Mini-Con drone to soon disappear in a large cloud. The Autobot team looked at the screens and couldn't find Laserbeak on any of them.

"No sign of the evil robot bird." Gus said, struggling to calm down from experiencing Seaspray's crazy flying.

"He's gone. Now we can go find Soundwa-" Ratchet was cut off when Laserbeak suddenly flew by and Seaspray flew his ship after him, making the Autobot medic cry out in shock.

"Not again!" Gus yelled in fear.

The FlashFlood once again fired it's turrets at Laserbeak, who flew around the air to avoid the shots and then went into another large cloud. Seaspray flew his ship into the cloud and the group saw nothing for a moment, only to then see they were heading straight into a cliff wall. Ratchet and Gus screamed in terror, causing Wheeljack to cringe a bit as Seaspray steered the FlashFlood up and narrowly hit the cliffside. Just then, Laserbeak started flying straight at the FlashFlood and Seaspray glared at the Mini-Con drone before they both fired their respective blasters at each other, still flying straight forwards.

"What are you doing?" Ratchet asked in worridness.

"I don't like this! I don't like this!" Gus shouted as he was cowering for his life, right now.

"Sprays, you might wanna pull up!" Wheeljack protested.

Seaspray didn't listen and continued shooting at Laserbeak while flying straight at him.

"Seaspray?!" Ratchet called, while the aquatic Wrecker shouted out enthusiastically. "SEASPRAY!"

Laserbeak just missed ramming into the FlashFlood and Seaspray turned his ship around, locking onto Laserbeak and firing the turrets again. This time, Laserbeak was unable to avoid the shots and got hit, descending down with fire emitting from him.

"Choke on that, Con!" Seaspray stated victoriously.

"You did it!" Ratchet said, surprised and impressed.

"That's my Sprays!" Wheeljack remarked.

"Good. Can we please land, now?" Gus asked as his face was starting to look green.

However, their victory was short lived as Laserbeak aimlessly fired his laser and managed to hit the FlashFlood's engines. Gus, Wheeljack, Ratchet and Seaspray grunted while bracing themselves for a very rough crash landing. After the FlashFlood had crashed in the small forest and left a massive trail behind, the Autobot group had exited the ship to have an inspection.

"How's my ship, Jackie?" Seaspray asked his fellow Wrecker.

"Not good. The right thruster's fried." Wheeljack answered.

"Well…I guess we can't chase Soundwave in the air anymore." Gus said, walking up to the Autobots after he had tossed his lunch at a nearby tree.

"If you had pursued Soundwave as I instructed…" Ratchet began to scold Seaspray.

"His little birdy would still be shooting us from behind." Seaspray interrupted.

"Or I could've just lead Laserbeak away with an illusion if you weren't making me air sick from that crazy flying." Gus retorted as Emmiline spoke in agreement with her owner.

"Gus actually has a good point." Wheeljack admitted.

"Well, we need to resume our search for the relic immediately. Soundwave may already have reached it." Ratchet said urgently.

"The FlashFlood isn't gonna help us with that, anymore. If we wanna go after that Con, we'll need to roll." Seaspray proclaimed, until he saw something and began walking towards it.

"Uh, Seaspray?" Gus asked in confusion, not knowing why he was walking instead of transforming.

"Make up your mind! Are we walking or are we driving?!" Ratchet demanded.

Just then, Seaspray stopped to pull out his sickles and the others saw what the aquatic Wrecker was being cautious about. It was Laserbeak laying on the ground with electric sparks and smoke emitting from him.

"Sprays, you might wanna stay away from that thing." Wheeljack instructed worriedly.

"Indeed, Seaspray. Keep your distance." Ratchet advised. "Laserbeak is the eyes and ears of Soundwave."

Seaspray used one of his sickles to flip Laserbeak upwards and the Mini-Con drone did nothing, indicating that the crash made him go offline for the time being.

"Not anymore, it isn't." Seaspray said.

"That's one less Decepticon to worry about." Gus admitted.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Soundwave flew towards a large rock mountain before he transformed and landed on it. The communion Decepticon started hearing some motor car noises and he looked up to a nearby mountain edge before Wildrider drove off it, transforming and stabbing one of his wrist blades into the cliffside. Wildrider slowly descended to the mountain Soundwave was on and landed on it, approaching his teammate.

"Nice work with distracting those Autobots so you and I could make our way to the coordinates without any problems, Soundwave." Wildrider said. "So, this is where the relic's supposed to be?"

Soundwave nodded in response and used his optic scanner to find a green digit on a specific part of the mountain. He started to walk towards where the relic was, causing Wildrider to follow him.

(Linebreak)

At the same time, Ratchet was scanning the immobile Laserbeak with a device.

"Operating system appears functional, but offline. However, the crash clearly damaged it's optic and audio receptors." Ratchet explained.

"Looks like someone's gonna need a new lap-Con." Seaspray commented.

"Plus, Soundwave's a little less of a threat without that big bird in his arsenal." Gus said with a slight smile.

"A minor victory, and not the one we are here to achieve." Ratchet reminded.

He, Seaspray and Gus began to walk away in hopes of reaching the relic, but Wheeljack stayed in his spot as he had an idea.

"Hang on there, you guys." Wheeljack said, making the others turn around to face him. "This situation's right for an old Wrecker trick I did back in the day."

"I like what you're thinking of, Jackie." Seaspray said with a smile.

"I'm…not sure I follow." Ratchet admitted.

"What kind of plan are you thinking?" Gus asked.

"Sooner or later, Soundwave's gonna come looking for his pet. We let them reunite and return to base, packing a live grenade." Wheeljack explained, holding up one of his grenades. "The first time Wave reaches inside, he trips the pin and 'Kaboom'."

"Now that's something I'm on board with." Seaspray remarked.

"I bet it could even take out Megatron if he's close enough." Gus added with a hopeful expression.

On the other hand, Ratchet had a way more better idea after he thought about Wheeljack's plan.

"Why plant a mere incendiary device, when we could plant a more devastating bomb?" Ratchet suggested as he walked to Laserbeak, kneeling down to him and bringing out his blowtorch. "A virus, engineered to pass from Laserbeak to Soundwave."

The Autobot medic uses his blowtorch to slice through Laserbeak's back and made it open it to reveal a storage unit within.

"Then, directly into the Nemesis' mainframe, where it will transmit the contents of the entire Iacon database to us." Ratchet finished.

"Sounds complicated. I thought we were in a hurry to get that relic?" Seaspray questioned.

"Optimus would agree. Risking the loss of one relic to gain the rest is a worthwhile gamble." Ratchet replied.

"If it gives us the chance of finding all the other relics before the Cons do, then I'm onboard with Ratchet's idea." Gus said in agreement.

"Count me in, too." Wheeljack added.

"You really have the chops to pull off a trick like that?" Seaspray asked.

"Hmm, not alone. I will require backup." Ratchet said, knowing just who to call.

(Linebreak)

At the Autobot base, Agent Fowler was busy helping Bulkhead on the communication terminal while Vee was working at her laptop. Just then, Ratchet started calling Vee on her device.

"Vee, we have a situation." Ratchet told the Basilisk girl.

"I'm listening, Ratchet." Vee replied.

(Linebreak)

Back with Soundwave and Wildrider, they continued to walk forward on the mountain before coming to a halt.

"Let me guess, the relic is just over there?" Wildrider guessed as he pointed at the ground ahead of them before bringing his wrist blades out. "I'll start making you a hole to dig."

The blade-wielding Decepticon stood right over where Soundwave had discovered the relic and used his blades to slice off pieces of rock from the mountain surface. Once Wildrider made the hole deep enough, he stepped aside and Soundwave released his mechanical tentacles before using them to drill into the hole.

(Linebreak)

"If you can ride a source code for the virus, my scanner will translate it to Cybertronian script as it uploads." Ratchet explained as he told Vee his entire plan.

"I can do that, Ratchet. But if we wanna keep the virus hidden from Soundwave, we'll need a decoy." Vee replied. "You know, something to hide the virus in."

(Linebreak)

The sun began to set at Ratchet's position as he turned towards his allies. More specifically, Wheeljack.

"Or something less complicated." Ratchet said as he gestured to Wheeljack's grenade.

"A decoy as in we want them to find it, but it won't blow?" Wheeljack asked.

"Correct." Ratchet answered.

"Seems like a waste of one of Jackie's perfectly good grenade if you ask me." Seaspray admitted.

"It's the only way we're gonna get the virus close enough, Seaspray." Gus replied. "I say we go along with it."

"You read my mind, bud." Wheeljack agreed, tossing his grenade to Ratchet.

Ratchet pulled out the explosive core of the grenade and planted it inside Laserbeak, which Vee noticed from Ratchet's point of view on her laptop.

"Wait, a grenade inside of Laserbeak inside of Soundwave?" Vee asked. "It's like a turducken."

"I'm sorry?" Ratchet questioned, very confused by what she said.

"Camila told me that it's a turkey stuffed with a duck, stuffed with a pigeon." Vee replied. "I know, it sounded weird to me when I first learned of it."

As Gus stood beside Ratchet to help supervise the virus operation, Wheeljack and Seaspray started to walk away.

"And where are you two off to?" Ratchet questioned.

"To buy you some time." Seaspray replied. "And who knows? Maybe to pick up a relic."

"Shouldn't I come with you, then?" Gus asked as Emmiline spoke in agreement for the Illusionist witch boy.

"It's better for you to stay here and help Ratchet upload that virus, Gus. If any Cons show up to grab Laserbeak, you should use your illusions to disguise yourself and Ratchet do they don't spot you." Wheeljack told him.

"That's a good point. Okay, I'll stick with Ratchet while you and Seaspray go for that relic." Gus replied. "Just try not to get killed."

"When's that ever happened?" Wheeljack asked with a smile.

He and Seaspray then transformed, with the aquatic Wrecker bringing out ski-like legs to help him move on land, and drove away, leaving Gus and Ratchet alone to upload the virus.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Soundwave continued drilling into the mountain before he stopped and reeled his tentacle back, revealing the relic in his possession. It was revealed to be some kind of blaster weapon that started emitting powerful waves of sound through the air.

"Now that's a good-looking relic." Wildrider said with a smile of approval. "Megatron's gonna be happy when we bring it to him."

But then, the two Decepticons started hearing engine noises from the cliff above. They looked up and saw Wheeljack and Seaspray driving right off the edge before the two Wreckers transformed, pulling out their respective weapons. Soundwave and Wildrider jumped back to avoid Wheeljack and Seaspray's attacks as the Wreckers stood up straight and glared at their enemies.

"Hey, Wildrider. Didn't expect to run into you." Wheeljack said.

"By the way, screen-face, you dropped something!" Seaspray told the communication Decepticon.

Soundwave looked at his left tentacle and noticed the relic was no longer in it before seeing that it had fallen to the lower surface when he jumped.

"We'll get that relic after we've snuffed out your Sparks, Wreckers." Wildrider sneered as he brought out his blades, while Soundwave got into a battle stance.

"This should be fun." Wheeljack said eagerly.

"Just like old times, Jackie." Seaspray added before they both charged at the Decepticons.

Wheeljack swiped his blades at Wildrider, who uses his wrist blades to block the attacks and retaliate by thrusting his signature weapons at his rival. Wheeljack did a skilful kick to knock away Wildrider's attack and the two of them continued to engaged in their blade/sword battle. Seaspray charged straight at Soundwave and swiftly swung his sickles at him, which the communication Decepticon avoided with ease. One of the attacks barely scratched his screen face and he used his arms to block more sickle attacks. Just then, Soundwave managed to grab one of Seaspray's sickles and used his tentacle to knock the aquatic Wrecker away, making him lose grip of his sickle in the process. Seaspray stumbled back a bit and regained his balance before he saw Soundwave holding his other sickle, prompting him to charge at the communication Decepticon. Soundwave tossed Seaspray's sickle at him and the aquatic Wrecker knocked it away with his remaining weapon, jumping at Soundwave before suddenly getting grabbed in the face by his tentacle. Soundwave then slammed Seaspray onto the mountain floor, which Wheeljack noticed while duelling with Wildrider.

"Sprays!" Wheeljack exclaimed worriedly before Wildrider kicked him straight into the higher mountain's walls.

"Always getting distracted by your friends in danger! That's why you always loose and I always win!" Wildrider stated, jabbing Wheeljack in the chest and then pushing his head into the wall.

Soundwave turned Seaspray onto his back and pinned him down with one of his tentacles before using his other one as a drill, thrusting it towards Seaspray's face and making him hold it back with all his might. Wheeljack saw his old friend in trouble as Wildrider continued to attack him against the wall before the swordsman Wrecker managed to use all his strength to punch his rival away.

"Back away from my pal!" Wheeljack shouted, bringing his blaster out and shooting Soundwave's tentacles.

This caused Soundwave to back away in pain before Seaspray got up and head-butted him in the face, making Soundwave stumble back and his screen face formed a large crack on it.

"There I go again, shattering expectations." Seaspray said smugly.

"We've still got it, Sprays." Wheeljack remarked, standing next to his teammate.

"I hate all of you Wreckers." Wildrider scowled in anger as he got back up, ready for another fight.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile at Ratchet and Gus' position, the Autobot medic was holding his scanned device near Laserbeak while the Illusionist witch boy stood on his shoulder.

"Vee, I've hacked into Laserbeak's uplink transmitter." Ratchet informed the Basilisk girl. "When you're ready, I will bring his operating systems back online in order to receive the transfer."

"Could that let Soundwave know where Laserbeak is and he'll start flying right here?" Gus asked in concern.

"Most likely. We'll need to prepare ourselves if he does begin to make his way to our location." Ratchet replied.

(Linebreak)

At the same time, Wheeljack and Seaspray charged at Soundwave and Wildrider while firing their blaster/torpedos at them. Soundwave and Wildrider were unable to block them and they were blown back by every shot before the two Wreckers knocked them off the mountain, making them all crash down to the bottom. When the dust settled, Soundwave looked to his right and saw Wildrider laying on the floor with a very painful groan while the relic was close to him. Just then, Wheeljack and Seaspray stood over Soundwave and aimed their weapons at him.

"Once we're done with you, Wildrider's next." Wheeljack proclaimed with a glare.

"Any last words?" Seaspray asked as Soundwave said nothing, as always. "Right. Silent type."

Just as the two Wreckers prepared to fire their weapons, they didn't see Soundwave using one of his tentacles to grab the relic and aim it above them from behind. The relic released a powerful blast of sonic energy that made Wheeljack and Seaspray cry out in pain. After a few seconds of enduring the sonic attack, Wheeljack and Seaspray collapsed onto the ground and they both groaned weakly, allowing Soundwave to stand up and turn his attention to Wildrider.

(Linebreak)

Vee was busy working at her laptop and finally managed to get the virus ready to be uploaded into Laserbeak.

"Ratchet, the virus is coded." Vee said. "I'm commencing the upload now."

(Linebreak)

When the virus began uploading, Ratchet and Gus saw it happening on the scanner device before Laserbeak suddenly started to fly away. Ratchet quickly held the Mini-Con drone down as Gus grabbed his left wing, while Emmiline assisted them by hopping onto Laserbeak's other wing.

"You're not going anywhere!" Gus stated.

(Linebreak)

Soundwave approached Wildrider and helped him back on his feat, while the blade-wielding Decepticon shook his head to fully regain consciousness.

"That was a big fall." Wildrider muttered before he saw Wheeljack and Seaspray laying on the ground. "And it looks like that relic's really useful, too."

Wheeljack and Seaspray weakly looked up to see Soundwave and Wildrider standing over them. Soundwave placed the relic onto his arm and aimed it at the Wreckers, while Wildrider did the same thing with his blaster.

"I've been waiting to do this for a long time." Wildrider said with a devious smirk. "I'll make sure to give Bulkhead your regards, boys."

But before he could use the relic, Soundwave started to pick up a familiar signal on his screen face and Wildrider noticed this.

"What is it? Is that Laserbeak?" Wildrider asked. "You're not saying he survived a crash from the sky after getting shot down."

Soundwave said nothing and he removed the relic from his hand, handing it to Wildrider as he had a assumption on what he wanted to do.

"Take the relic back to Megatron while you go get Laserbeak? But we've got these two Wreckers at our mercy!" Wildrider protested firmly. "I'm not missing an opportunity to terminate them! Especially Wheeljack!"

Soundwave only walked closer to Wildrider in an intimidating way, giving him a sign that he was most likely saying 'our mission is more important' to him. Knowing that bad things can happen to anyone who crossed Soundwave, Wildrider let out a sigh of defeat.

"Fine. But next time, I'll destroy them on the spot." Wildrider said before he transformed and drove away with the relic in his driver seat, while Soundwave turned to where Laserbeak's signal was coming from.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Ratchet, Gus and Emmiline were continuing to hold down Laserbeak, who was still twitching around and trying to fly away.

"This bird is getting a bit fussy." Gus muttered as he was struggling to hold Laserbeak down.

"Vee, what is our progress?" Ratchet asked on the com-link.

"Fifty percent." Vee answered.

As Ratchet and Gus continued to restrain Laserbeak with Emmiline's help, the Autobot medic started getting another call from their two Wrecker allies.

"Kid. Doc." Seaspray said in a weak tone.

"Seaspray! I told you not to call me that!" Ratchet scolded sternly.

"Me and Jackie just wanted to say…we're sorry." Seaspray muttered, which was loud enough for Ratchet and Gus to hear.

"We tried…our best." Wheeljack said as he sounded just as weak as the aquatic Wrecker.

"Jackie, you're making me worried." Gus told his Autobot Guardian.

"What's wrong? Where are you?" Ratchet asked.

"We figure you two have got maybe…two minutes." Seaspray mumbled.

After hearing this, Ratchet and Gus turned to the distance and they saw Soundwave flying straight at them, getting closer by each passing second.

"Scrap." Gus said worriedly.

"Or less." Ratchet admitted. "Wheeljack, Seaspray, what are your conditions?"

However, he didn't get a response from the Wreckers.

"Wheeljack? Seaspray?" Ratchet questioned before he decided to switch callers. "Vee, are we nearly done?"

"We're almost there." Vee replied.

As Laserbeak started to struggle some more, Ratchet stood up while tightly holding the Mini-Con drone and sat back down before looking at his scanner to see the virus was almost loaded up.

"We're gonna be dead at this rate!" Gus stated urgently as Soundwave was closing in on them.

"Just a few more seconds!" Ratchet protested.

Just then, the virus was finally done loading and everyone on both sides noticed this.

"Done!" Vee announced.

Laserbeak's open hatch closed up and he flew out of Ratchet's grasp, loosing a piece of his wing before collapsing. Ratchet, Gus and Emmiline then saw that Soundwave was nearly at their location.

"Augustus, you know what to do." Ratchet told the Illusionist witch boy.

"I'm on it." Gus nodded, creating a spell circle.

As it was now nighttime, Soundwave reached their position and he transformed, landing on the ground and looking around the open field for Laserbeak. All he could see was the crashed FlashFlood and a pair of boulders that were further away from it, but these boulders were actually Ratchet and Gus being disguised by an illusion the witch boy created. Gus looked at Ratchet while Emmiline nervously stood on his shoulder and made a shushing gesture to him. Soundwave started walking to their position and they stayed as quiet and still as possible, until Soundwave stood over Laserbeak and picked him up before placing his Mini-Con back onto his chest. Soundwave then walked away and Ratchet and Gus started to feel relieved, but then the communication Decepticon stopped walking and turned back to where they stood. Ratchet and Gus tensed up as they saw Soundwave bring out his tentacles and guide them to their position, only for them to move around the two of them and then pick up Laserbeak's wing piece. The tentacles picked up the wing piece and brought it back to Soundwave, who placed it inside Laserbeak and transformed before flying away to rendezvous with Wildrider on the Nemesis. Seeing that Soundwave was finally gone, Gus undid his illusion and he and Ratchet let out relived sighs.

"That was the scariest moment I've ever had, and I'll most likely be having Soundwave nightmares tonight." Gus said, feeling a bit traumatised by this close encounter.

"Soundwave has taken the bait. Wheeljack. Seaspray." Ratchet said on the com-link, but got no response. "Scrap. Augustus, get in."

Ratchet transformed and Gus and Emmiline immediately got into his driver seat before the Autobot medic drove off, fearing for Wheeljack and Seaspray's lives.

(Linebreak)

On the Nemesis, Soundwave and Wildrider had arrived on the main deck and were presenting the relic they found to Megatron. Dreadwing, Thundercracker and Skywarp were next to them, having returned from the Antarctic.

"Here's the relic, Lord Megatron." Wildrider said, giving his leader the powerful weapon in respect.

Megatron grabbed the relic and turned around to inspect it.

"Ah, the Resonance Blaster. Crafted by Decepticon scientists for maximum sonic devastation." Megatron identified, very pleased. "Soundwave, Wildrider, you have both performed admirably. Unlike Dreadwing, Thundercracker and Skywarp here, who somehow managed to lose the Apex Armor to Starscream and Lockdown! However, two more decrypted coordinates remain in play. And I have every confidence that Knock Out and Breakdown will…"

However, the main Decepticons started hearing footsteps and they turned around to see Breakdown approaching them.

"Breakdown? You're already back?" Thundercracker asked in a surprised tone. "That's a bit unexpected."

"Where's Knocks?" Wildrider questioned. "And more importantly, were you two able to get that relic?"

"Well, the thing is…" Breakdown said while awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

Before he could tell everyone what happened, Knock Out shoved him out of the way to reveal his messed-up appearance that was left by the foes he encountered.

"Can you believe what the Autobots did to me?!" Knock Out asked furiously as Megatron approached him.

"Did you retrieve the relic?!" Megatron demanded.

"No, master." Knock Out answered, feeling a bit timid.

"Then I suggest you convince me of your continued usefulness by examining Laserbeak, Doctor." Megatron said, gesturing to the Mini-Con drone on Soundwave's chest.

(Linebreak)

Meanwhile, Ratchet drove all the way up the hill before he and Gus noticed Wheeljack and Seaspray laying motionlessly ahead of them.

"Jackie!" Gus called out worriedly.

"Seaspray!" Ratchet gasped before he pulled over and allowed Gus and Emmiline to get out of him, transforming and approaching the two Wreckers.

"Come on, Jackie! Say something to me!" Gus stated, fearing his Autobot Guardian and Seaspray was close to going offline. "Wake up, Seaspray!"

Wheeljack and Seaspray heard him and they sat up while groaning lightly.

"Hey, Gus. Nothing to worry about." Wheeljack said, causing Gus and Emmiline to become very relived.

"Just resting our optics." Seaspray said with a groan. "And our audio receptors."

(Linebreak)

Soundwave was seen laying on a medical table as Megatron and Knock Out stood next to him, with the Decepticon doctor using a scanner to detect something in Laserbeak.

"What is it?" Megatron asked.

"An obstruction of some sort." Knock Out replied as Soundwave got off the medical table.

The communication Decepticon then removed Laserbeak and opened his back hatch to reveal the explosive core inside, causing Knock Out to become very alarmed.

"Grenade!" Knock Out shouted fearfully before he ducked down.

"Ah, that is clever." Megatron commented. "Knock Out, prepare to properly dispose of the obstruction."

Knock Out was then seen running down the Nemesis' corridors while nervously holding the explosive core. Soundwave placed Laserbeak on his chest once the core was out.

"Soundwave, if we are to maintain any advantage over the Autobots…" Megatron said before an explosion was heard. "Decoding the remainder of the Iacon database must remain your top priority."

Soundwave simply nodded to his leader.

(Linebreak)

Ratchet, Wheeljack and Seaspray drove down the forest hill before they reached the FlashFlood, transforming and walking towards it with Gus riding on his Autobot Guardian's shoulder.

"Vee, send the Ground Bridge." Ratchet ordered before he turned to Seaspray. "I still advise that you return to base. You and Wheeljack require a thorough examination."

"You might wanna do what Ratchet says, Sprays." Wheeljack agreed, also feeling concerned for his friend.

"The only thing I require right now is some tools to fix up my ride." Seaspray replied, examining his crashed ship. "Believe me, the FlashFlood needs more repairs than I do."

"If you say so. Still, it was really great to spend some time with you." Gus said kindly.

"The feeling's mutual, kid." Seaspray told him, smiling respectfully.

"Listen, Seaspray. I want to…thank you for your…backup." Ratchet admitted

"Sure." Seaspray said simply as he teared off a hatch from his ship, causing Ratchet to turn towards Wheeljack.

"That's pretty much all you'll get from him." Wheeljack told him.

A Ground Bridge appeared behind Ratchet, Wheeljack and Gus and they knew it was their ticket back to base. The three of them began walking towards while Seaspray gave them one last look.

"See you around…Ratchet." Seaspray said, causing the Autobot medic to smile as he walked into the Ground Bridge.

Wheeljack and Gus stopped in front of the green vortex to look at their Wrecker friend.

"And Jackie, kid, say hi to Bulk and the plant girl for me." Seaspray told them.

Wheeljack and Gus gave him a nod in response before they both followed Ratchet into the Ground Bridge.

(Linebreak)

At the same time, Soundwave stood in front of a terminal and placed his tentacles on it to start working on decoding the Iacon database.

(Linebreak)

While Ratchet, Wheeljack and Gus were returning, Vee looked at the main console and saw something coming up on it.

"Guys! Come look at this!" Vee called out.

Ratchet, Wheeljack and Gus looked at the main console and they saw the Iacon database itself appearing on it.

"The Iacon database?" Ratchet asked in surprise.

"It's downloading into our mainframe!" Vee remarked.

"The plan worked!" Gus cheered.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Wheeljack stated before the two of them high-fived, while Emmiline let out a happy squeak.

"Hahahaha! Vee, you are a genius!" Ratchet said happily, earning a smile from the Basilisk girl.

Megatron and Knock Out stood beside the door while watching Soundwave work.

"Oh, believe me, Soundwave will provide the coordinates to the remaining relics." Megatron declared.

"Yes. We are fortunate to have him on our side, Lord Megatron." Knock Out replied, hiding the sarcasm in his voice.

"And see about repairing his cracked visor, will you?" Megatron instructed before leaving.

Knock Out glared at Soundwave and growled silently, jealous of all the success and praise he got from Megatron.

Back at the Autobot base, Vee had just activated the Ground Bridge for their next returning Autobot.

"Bulkhead's coming through, Agent Fowler." Vee told the special agent.

"He's gonna be super happy to hear what we've just done!" Wheeljack said in excitement.

"So will everyone else once they get back!" Gus added.

"I can't wait to share the news!" Ratchet stated.

Everyone waited for Bulkhead to come out of the Ground Bridge, but then the dark-green Wrecker suddenly flew out of the green vortex and crashed onto the floor with smoke trailing off his back. Everyone was shocked and horrified to see that Bulkhead was completely unresponsive.

"No." Ratchet gasped in utter astonishment.

"Bulk, what happened?! Are you okay?!" Wheeljack asked drastically, rushing to his old friend and seeing he wasn't showing any signs of functionality. "Say something, Bulk! Can you hear me?! BULK!"
