In the Autobot base, Gus, Hunter and Vee were busy erasing a photo of Bumblebee on the conspiracy website.

"Just remove Bumblebee, and replace him with…" Vee said as she switched out the Bumblebee photo for a short video of a tap-dancing monkey.

"The tap-dancing monkey strikes again in the Human Realm." Gus remarked before he and Vee did a high-five.

"I would've preferred the guitar wolf." Hunter muttered.

"That's interesting." Bumblebee said while watching from behind.

"Bumblebee's sightings on the worldwide web are no laughing matter." Ratchet scolded while working at the main console.

"Relax, Ratchet. At least they're making sure nobody else knows about the Autobots." Luz reassured while holding a book at the platform next to him. "Besides, this gives me more time to see if these books have ways of getting to the Boiling Isles."

"No offence to you, Luz, but I highly doubt any other human would no how otherworldly travel is made." Ratchet admitted. "Those books will never have the answers you seek."

"I guess so. Some of this writing is just about weird mythology and ancient beings." Luz said before she spotted a picture that was pretty unusual. "Also, why would a triangle need one eye and a top hat?"

On the other side of the base, Amity was teaching some yoga to Willow and Bulkhead as a way to help the dark-green Wrecker recover better.

"Seven, eight, nine…" Amity said as the three of them did leg exercises.

"This yoga thing is really good for my bones. I can't believe we've never had something like this back home." Willow commented.

"Me, too." Amity added.

"Why can't I just drive from now on?" Bulkhead asked in complaint.

"Because your legs will atrophy if you choose not to use them." Ratchet replied.

"Ugh." Bulkhead groaned.

"Okay, let's continue." Amity instructed as they went back to their exercise. "One, two, three…"

Hunter soon noticed something peculiar on the laptop as he, Gus and Vee kept strolling on the conspiracy website.

"Wait, what's that?" Hunter asked.

Vee zoomed in on some kind of meteor-like object in the sky and saw what it actually was.

"A Cybertronian escape pod?" Vee asked in surprise, earning everyone else's attention.

"Here, in Earth's atmosphere?" Ratchet questioned.

Vee then sent the image of the escape pod onto the main console for everyone to see.

"It sure looks legit." Jazz admitted.

"Autobot or Decepticon?" Cliffjumper asked.

"Impossible to tell, given the image resolution." Ratchet answered.

"In any event, this merits investigation." Optimus told his Autobots.

"Could be a trap, and we're down one Bot." Arcee said.

"Maybe we should call Sprays?" Wheeljack suggested.

"I can hear you!" Bulkhead called out.

"We know." Luz replied.

"I don't care if Bulkhead isn't combat ready. After that revenge stunt he pulled with Willow, Seaspray can stay rogue." Ratchet declared firmly.

"An Autobot may be in distress. Ratchet, bring your medical kit." Optimus instructed, preparing for the mission.

"Should we wait here?" Willow asked.

"Yeah. Probably for the best, right now." Jazz answered.

(Linebreak)

In a far away forest, a Ground Bridge appeared and Optimus, Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, Jazz and Ratchet emerged from it in their vehicle forms before transforming. They saw the Cybertronian pod in front of them with a lake of Energon leaking from it and they approached it while looking out for any enemies. Once they were close enough, Arcee wiped off some dirt and found a red Decepticon symbol on the pod.

"It is of Decepticon origin." Optimus identified.

"And the Con inside blew his way out." Arcee added, noticing the large hole in the pod.

"They'd could be anywhere, right now." Cliffjumper said cautiously. "Either far away from here or hiding for a sneak attack."

Suddenly, a barrage of laser shots were fired at the Autobots and they all saw it was coming from a squad of Vehicons before they returned fire while backing away. One of the Vehicons was shot down, but two Insecticons showed up in their flying bug forms as the Autobots got behind some boulders.

"All those Cons came out of one pod?" Wheeljack questioned with a raised eyebrow while firing his blaster.

"The humans refer to the phenomenon as a clown car!" Ratchet stated, shifting his hand into a blade.

One of the Insecticons transformed and landed on the ground, charging straight at Optimus. The Autobot leader blocked the Insecticon's attack before defeating it with his blade and blaster. Optimus blasted the other Decepticon away as another Insecticon rammed into Ratchet, pinning him against a boulder and transforming. Before the Insecticon could strike Ratchet, Arcee sliced off it's extra appendages with her wrist blades and the bug-like Cybertronian grabbed her in retaliation. Cliffjumper immediately tackled the Insecticon away and Arcee freed herself, allowing both of them to shoot the Insecticon down. The Vehicons continued to fire at the Autobots and they all retuned fire, but some more blaster shots appeared behind the Bots. They turned around and saw the shots were coming from a Cybertronian they've never seen, who was mainly white with red and blue highlights and seemed a bit young by his appearance.

"Incoming!" Arcee shouted as she and the others got their blasters ready.

"Down in front!" The new Cybertronian called out, rushing forward and jumping over the Autobots.

He started firing his blaster at the Vehicons and managed to take down a few, avoiding their own shots with good speed.

"Friendly?" Cliffjumper asked.

"He's shooting at the Cons, so I'm gonna say yes." Jazz replied.

Two Vehicons jumped over the Energon lake and prepared to shoot the new Cybertron, until some musical notes were heard in the distance and they were blown away by some waves of red energy. A young figure suddenly landed in front of Team Prime and they were surprised to see that it was a young girl with brown skin, pinkish-grey hair that was black at the bottom and tied into a high ponytail, grey eyes, a red uniform on her arms and legs with a darkish-grey top in the center, a black cloak that was held by a bird-like mask on her left shoulder, gold sphere earrings, a pair of black boots and green fingerless gloves. But what the Autobots instantly knew about her was that her eyes were pointy, just like Amity, Willow, Gus and Hunter's.

"Pick on someone who isn't your size, metal heads!" The witch girl shouted while holding a staff with a cricket Palisman in her left hand and a U-shaped harp in the other.

"That's not how that expression is said!" The new Cybertronian told her, shooting some more Vehicons.

"They're bigger than me, so it wouldn't have made sense!" The witch girl retorted.

"She's a…a Witch!" Jazz exclaimed in total shock.

"Impossible!" Ratchet stated while getting behind a boulder. "Luz never mentioned any others being on Earth!"

"Well, she's helping us and the new guy! That's a good thing!" Wheeljack admitted.

The new Witch girl fired some musical energy arrows from her harp to take out some Vehicons, but then she noticed an Insecticon flying at her in an attempt to attack. The new Cybertronian quickly grabbed her and he jumped away from the Insecticon before shooting the Insecticon, only for one of the shots to hit the Energon and ignite it into blue flames.

"Is that bad?" The Witch girl asked in worridness.

"Really bad!" Cliffjumper stated.

"Fall back!" Optimus ordered before the Autobots and the Witch girl ran away from the area.

They got behind the boulders as the ignited Energon let out a massive explosion, engulfing the surrounding area. When the explosion died down, everyone saw that the Vehicons and Insecticons had gotten incinerated by the explosion as the new Cybertronian stood up on a big rock.

"WOOO! Too hot for you, Cons?!" The new Cybertronian asked victoriously.

"Friend of yours?" Ratchet questioned the other Bots.

"Not at all." Bumblebee answered.

"Nope." Wheeljack replied.

"Never seen him before." Arcee added.

"Me neither." Cliffjumper admitted.

"I don't know this guy, but I like his style." Jazz said with an impressed smile.

Team Prime looked down at the new Witch girl, who awkwardly stared back at them.

"I've only known him for about two hours and he's a bit…energetic. But still, he's a nice giant robot." The Witch girl said with a casual smile. "I just didn't think there would be more in this world."

"You're not the first Witch to meet us, kid." Cliffjumper replied, much to the Witch girl's confusion.

"Torching that Energon leak. Pretty good plan, right?" The new Cybertronian asked, approaching the group with an enthusiastic smile.

"Except that it wasn't your plan, it was a random shot that almost fried us to a crisp." Arcee retorted.

"Plus, I could've been burned alive in that explosion." The Witch girl added while crossing her arms.

"Worked out, didn't it?" The new Cybertronian said, still staying positive. "And I knew you'd get far enough on that flying stick of yours."

"It's called a staff." The Witch girl corrected.

"Thank you, fellow Autobot and young Witch." Optimus said kindly, earning their attention. "Your…valour and assistance is to be commended."

"You're welcome, mister…who are you?" The Witch girl questioned.

"I…don't believe it. You're Optimus Prime!" The new Cybertronian exclaimed in amazement. "He's Optimus Prime!"

"We know." Arcee said plainly.

"It's pretty obvious." Wheeljack admitted.

"Yes, yes, yes." Ratchet added.

"We've been working with him for a while." Cliffjumper told the new Cybertronian.

"It's true." Bumblebee said in agreement.

"No need to tell us." Jazz replied.

"What are your names, young ones?" Optimus asked curiously.

"Smokescreen, sir!" The new Cybertronian, now identified as Smokescreen, answered with a salute.

"And my name's Skara." The Witch girl, Skara, added while winking.

"Welcome to Earth, Smokescreen and Skara." Optimus greeted as he offered his hand to them.

Skara couldn't really shake Optimus' hand since she was way smaller then him, so she decided to just give him a friendly wave. But Smokescreen immediately shook the Autobot leader's hand.

"It's an honour to be here. Especially with you." Smokescreen said.

"I've only just met you, but it's still really nice to meet you and your other robot friends." Skara commented.

"Now what? We'll obviously need to bring Skara back to base since she knows of our existence, but it's not like we can just bring Smokescreen, too." Ratchet admitted.

"Wouldn't be the first time an ally turned out to be a plant." Arcee said, referring to the incident with Makeshift months ago.

"Seriously? That was one time." Jazz retorted. "I say we take this cool kid with us."

"You're only saying that because he's an enthusiastic thrill-seeker like you, Jazz." Bumblebee said with his arms crossed.

Optimus took a look at Smokescreen's Autobot symbol and noticed it had some wing-shaped patterns on it.

"I see that you received your training from Cybertron's Elite Guard." Optimus said.

"True enough. Though it wasn't much more than a boot camp by the time I joined." Smokescreen admitted. "Never even got a proper graduation ceremony."

"There was a war going on." Cliffjumper reminded.

"Hey, all I ever wanted was to be a soldier, serve the Autobot cause. But what I got was security detail at Iacon." Smokescreen said in complaint.

"The hall of records, of all places? Optimus, do you not find this highly suspicious?" Ratchet questioned protestingly.

"He didn't tell me he was a bad guy, so that's convincing enough." Skara defended.

"And it was only when you met the kid for two hours?" Wheeljack asked, earning a shrug from the new Witch girl.

"Smokescreen, what was your assignment inside the hall?" Optimus asked.

"Guarding Alpha Trion during what turned out to be the final days of the war." Smokescreen answered.

"You served under the Master Archivist?" Optimus questioned, surprised to hear the name of his old tutor.

"Nah, I wasn't frilled at first. Watching the back of an old Bot instead of kicking Con tailpipe." Smokescreen said while punching his hands together, until he noticed everyone giving him a bunch of looks. "Sorry. But the big A turned out to be a great teacher, and a true friend. I mean, he was the one who petitioned Halogen and the high council to make you a Prime."

Hearing this was more than enough to convince Optimus and he contacted the base.

"Vee, activate the Ground Bridge." Optimus instructed on the com-link.

"That's it? That's all you need to hear before inviting him to the party?" Arcee questioned in disbelief.

"If my former mentor shared this information, it is because he considered Smokescreen a trusted ally." Optimus proclaimed.

"Okay, where's this base of yours?" Skara asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You'll know soon, kid. And there's some people you'll definitely get along with." Jazz told her.

In the Autobot base, the Hexside Squad saw Team Prime emerging from the Ground Bridge with Smokescreen in tow.

"Hey, is that a new Autobot?" Gus asked in surprise.

"That's great. We could use someone new on the team." Willow commented.

"Hold on, there's someone else next to him." Hunter told his friends, looking next to Smokescreen's left foot. "They look human-ish."

"Who is it?" Luz questioned.

When Skara came into clear view, the Hexside Squad, minus Vee, were very surprised to see her.

"Skara?!" Amity asked shockingly, earning the Bard Witch girl's attention.

"Amity?! Willow?! Luz?! Gus?! Hunter?!" Skara questioned with an astonished expression. "What're you doing here?!"

"What are we doing here?! What about you?!" Willow asked as they all rushed up to him.

"Yeah, how did you get here and how're you with the Bots?" Luz asked.

"I've just been in a Human Realm forest for a few days and then I helped your giant robot friends against some bad ones." Skara explained. "But come to think of it, I guess I should've expected you all here since I saw you all the moment I arrived in this world."

"Wait, you saw us?" Gus asked as he slowly approached the Bard Witch girl in an awkward way. "I mean, it's a bit nice to see you again. It's been a long time."

"Too true, Gus." Skara agreed, oblivious to his awkward state before noticing Vee. "Hey, who's this human?"

"Oh, I-I'm Vee, Luz's adopted sister." Vee introduced with a nervous smile. "Nice to meet you, Skara."

"I just can't believe you've been by yourself in the Human Realm and we never knew." Amity said, feeling sorry for her old Hexside friend.

"Well, I wasn't alone for long. I've gotten to meet Smokescreen, today." Skara replied, gesturing to the new Autobot.

"That's me." Smokescreen added, smiling coolly.

"So, you're a new Autobot on Earth? We haven't had anyone new here since Seaspray." Willow admitted as they all walked up a nearby railing, with Skara joining them.

"How did you crash on Earth, Smokescreen? What's your origin? Did you meet any other Autobots in space?" Gus asked, leaving Smokescreen a bit weirded out.

"So, these are the other young life forms we're supposed to protect and a most of them are from Skara's world?" Smokescreen questioned Team Prime. "Are they all like this?"

"Not exactly." Cliffjumper answered.

"But, I too share Gus' fascination with how you came to arrive on Earth." Ratchet said.

"In a Decepticon escape pod." Arcee added.

"Still got trust issues, Huh? Tough crowd." Smokescreen said before he started to have flashbacks of his origins on Cybertron. "The main thrust of combat operations was at least twenty clicks from the Hall of Records, so things have been pretty quiet. But the situations went downhill fast. The Cons launched a massive surge that wiped out the last line of defences surrounding Iacon. I was the only thing left to hold them back, and let me tell you, I was pumped. I mean, this was my chance to see real action for the first time, to prove myself…Until everything went black after the front door exploded right in front of me. The Cons took me prisoner and dumped me onto a transport ship. But I managed to give a guard the slip and hopped in an escape pod. Apparently, it was a long-distance pod, because it knocked me into stasis. Next thing I knew, I'm hitting solid ground. Hard."

"The Nemesis must have picked up the pod's beacon and guided it to Earth." Ratchet theorised.

"That explains Smokey's welcoming committee." Jazz commented.

"Heh, bet those Cons were disappointed not to find one of their own inside." Arcee quipped.

"But what about you, Skara?" Luz asked, turning to the Bard Witch girl. "How'd you end up in the Human Realm?"

"Yeah, you weren't with us when we crossed through the portal." Willow said.

"That's true. Most of us stayed Hexside during the Day of Unity." Skara replied, thinking back to what had happened in her home world and feeling uncomfortable. "When it stopped, a lot of…crazy and scary things happened and I don't really wanna talk about it, right now."

"That's okay." Gus assured, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Do you think you can tell us how you got into the Human Realm?"

"Sure. It happened a lot of weeks ago." Skara said as she then had flashbacks of her own.

(Flashback)

In the world where the Hexside Squad lives in, the Boiling Isles, things were very quiet as a few star-like properties were seen planted in some places and the town of Bonesborough was seemingly abandoned. Some footsteps were then heard and Skara appeared out of the corner of a wooden house, looking quite wary and nervous since she was alone in a town that was now far too dangerous for anyone to step foot in.

"Most of us students were hiding out in Hexside since this Collector guy showed up out of nowhere. We were running low on food, so I volunteered to go into Bonesborough and search for more on my own." Skara explained. "I thought I was just gonna make a quick trip to the shop and run all the way back before I could be spotted, but the future had other plans for me."

Skara began to move through the deserted town and looked for shops that could have some good food in them. But then, the Bard Witch girl started to hear a strange noise and looked to see some kind of light emitting from behind one of the buildings. She walked towards the light out of curiosity and saw that it was a green-glowing crack just laying the midair.

"What the…?" Skara said with a very confused expression.

"I didn't know what it was that I found, but it definitely didn't show up by coincidence." Skara narrated. "I just had this feeling to walk up to that weird energy crack and touch it. But, when I did…"

Skara slowly began to reach for the energy crack and placed a single finger on it, causing the crack to spark out of control and Skara screamed out fearfully as she was sucked right into it. The crack then disappeared once Skara was gone. As he sight showed nothing but whiteness, Skara's vision soon became more clear and she saw that she was laying on a large mountain in the middle of a familiar rocky area.

"Okay, this is weird." Skara said to herself. "Where in Titan am I?"

"I had no idea where I was when I got sucked into that crack. That is, until I saw all of you." Skara admitted.

Just then, the Bard Witch girl heard a noise coming from below and she stood up with her Witch staff in hand before approaching the ledge, gasping in shock to see the Hexside Squad and Team Prime at the bottom as they walked into the Ground Bridge.

"As soon as I saw you guys, I realised that I must've been transported into the Human Realm." Skara explained. "Obviously, you guys caused some crazy event that got me pulled into this world."

Skara looked to the right and she then spotted Starscream being attacked by Skyquake's severed arm while crying out in pain, making her laugh a bit.

"And I saw this creepy robot being attacked by a metal arm." Skara said with a giggle.

Later on, Skara was seen flying through the air on her staff and eventually spotted the forest below, prompting her to fly down to it. Once she was on the ground, Skara and her cricket Palisman began gathering some resources like wood, berries and other things to help them survive. In just a few minutes, Skara has a small tent made out of bark wood and leaves in front of her.

"I guess this'll do." Skara said to herself, smiling proudly.

"Since I had no idea where to find you guys, I decided to just stay in the woods until I ran into you or your giant robot friends again. Plus, I couldn't talk to any humans since I had no way to disguise my ears from them." Skara explained. "It was super tough surviving on my own with just Cayenne, but I managed to pull it off. Even surviving this massive wind storm that was just a few weeks ago."

"Yeah, we know how that happened." Amity replied in the middle of the flashback, referring to the Unicron incident.

A few days later, Skara was currently laying against a tree near her tent in a peaceful way, until a big boom in the sky made her jolt awake in surprise. The Bard Witch girl looked up and saw a burning projectile shooting down from the sky before it crashed a few yards away from her position, making a large tremor across the forest.

"Okay, I was not expecting that!" Skara exclaimed shockingly.

"It was today that I saw Smokescreen's pod crash land on this world and I decided to check it out." Skara continued.

Skara quickly ran through the forest and she eventually arrived at the crash site, where she spotted the Cybertronian pod with Energon leaking out of it. Before Skara could approach the pod for a closer look, a blaster shot was fired straight out of it and the Bard Witch girl quickly hid behind a tree to see Smokescreen emerging from the pod with a very tired expression. Seeing Smokescreen was barely awake and groaning a bit, Skara started to quietly walk away from the area before she ended up stepping on twig that snapped. Smokescreen heard this and aimed his blaster at the sound's direction, making Skara freeze up in nervousness.

"Who's there?! I'm warning you, I can take you down in seconds!" Smokescreen called out.

Skara had no other choice but to slowly walk out of the forest, revealing herself to Smokescreen and leaving him a bit surprised.

"Uhh…hello, giant metal guy." Skara greeted in nervousness.

"What are you? Do you live on this planet?" Smokescreen asked.

"Not really. I ended up getting stranded in this world while I was back in my own." Skara answered. "My name's Skara, by the way."

"I'm Smokescreen." The rookie Autobot introduced. "So, where exactly do you come from?"

"That's what I wanna know about you." Skara replied. "Why don't we talk about ourselves back at my place?"

"Is it big enough for me?" Smokescreen asked as they started walking away from the crash site. "This planet looks a little…smaller than mine."

"You're not even close." Skara told him, smiling sheepishly.

(End Flashback)

"After we told each other about where we come from, we started hearing those blaster noises and we followed them back to the crash site before meeting with your Autobot friends." Skara explained, facing both Team Prime and the Hexside Squad.

"Yeah, it was kinda weird to hear about a world full of magic and demons and that the inhabitants were nearly destroyed by some psycho human." Smokescreen admitted.

"We've heard it before, kid. You'll get used to it." Wheeljack replied.

"So, you're saying that some green crack pulled you into the Human Realm?" Willow asked in confusion.

"Where would something like that come from?" Hunter questioned.

"Hold on, remember when those two Ground Bridges crossed streams with each other?" Jazz reminded.

"Yeah, why?" Arcee asked.

"Maybe that's what created that little crack that got Skara sent here?" Jazz guessed.

"Jazz has a good theory. The duelling energy of both Ground Bridges must have caused a small opening between the Human world and the Boiling Isles that would transport anything that came into contact." Ratchet theorised. "And that something was Skara."

"Wow. I had no idea that was possible." Vee said, feeling very surprised by this new info.

"So, things have gotten pretty bad back home?" Amity asked Skara.

"They sure have." Skara said depressingly, making Luz gain a very concnerd expression.

"Smokescreen, do you know of Alpha Trion's fate after the fall of Iacon?" Optimus asked, changing the subject.

"I wish I did. But that was the last I ever saw of him." Smokescreen replied as he lowered his head, while Optimus became a troubled after hearing that. "That's it, my life story and Skara's little tale. Not exactly the glory I envisioned for myself…until now. Being here with Optimus Prime? I knew I was destined for great things."

"Not to mention I'm here, so that means you've got some Bard magic in this team of yours." Skara told everyone as she brought out her harp and lightly strummed it. "I mean, how hard can it be to stop a giant robot war?"

Just then, everyone could hear a loud groan and some metal scrapping noises coming from the main entrance and they all saw Bulkhead slowly limping his way into the room.

"Take a good look, newbies." Bulkhead said with an unhappy expression, getting into the room while limping all the way. "This is how hard."

"What's with the big guy?" Skara asked her friends quietly.

"Long story. We'll tell you later." Luz replied.

"Smokescreen, Skara, I would suggest that you both take some time to become acclimated to your new surroundings." Optimus told the two new recruits. "A tour of the base would be an excellent start."

"I can do it." Willow said with a smile, until she noticed Bulkhead leaning against the control platform in depression. "Actually, I think Luz and Amity are better suited for that."

Smokescreen turned his attention to Luz and Amity, while the young couple simply smiled at him and Skara did the same.

"I'm okay with that." Skara said. "I was friends with Amity for a long time."

"Would you like to come with us, Gus?" Amity asked the Illusionist Witch boy.

"Well…" Gus said awkwardly, taking a quick look at Skara and blushing to himself. "I'll sit this one out. I don't want our new teammates to get too overwhelmed."

"Okay then." Luz replied with a shrug.

Meanwhile at the Harbinger, Starscream and his Mercenary allies were currently looking at the Earth internet on an operational terminal.

"This is what the humans call the information superhighway?" Exhaust questioned, unimpressed.

"A trillion gigabytes of data, but none of it is useful." Soundblaster said in complaint before they stopped on the tap-dancing monkey.

"Though some, oddly engrossing." Starscream commented with a laugh as he then strolled onto an image of a construction site, with some red-coloured crystal ore in the middle of it. "What is this?"

"I recognise that stuff from when we found it on Cybertron and sold it for a good price." Lockdown said. "I never thought it would be on this planet."

"And yet it is, Lockdown. These ignorant life forms have no idea what they've uncovered." Starscream replied. "Red Energon."

"And by the looks of it, this is quite a large mass that could supply us with an entire canister full of it." Soundblaster theorised.

"Indeed. If we can possess it's power, not only will we be stronger, but also faster." Starscream said, holding the Apex Armor with a smirk. "Significantly faster."

"I like the sound of that." Lockdown agreed while grinning sinisterly.

Back in the Autobot base, Luz and Amity were currently touring Smokescreen and Skara through the vault corridor.

"And there's the Phase Shifter, Shield Generator, the Spark Extractor, the Energon Harvester and the Immobilizer." Luz explained while gesturing to each door.

"This is where we keep the Cybertronian relics we've found on Earth." Amity told the new recruits. "It's a really big coincidence because most of them came from the-"

"The Iacon Hall of Records. I remember these." Smokescreen finished while looking into the room with the Phase Shifter inside.

"They sound pretty important." Skara said in curiosity, resting on the Autobot rookie's shoulder.

"Yeah, and they're not suitable for beings your age, Skara." Smokescreen told her.

As the four of them kept walking down the corridor, Smokescreen another vault that was keeping Airachnid, who was still frozen in the Insecticon pod.

"Wow. What kind of relic is she?" Smokescreen asked in a slightly surprised tone.

"The kind you don't want to mess with." Luz replied before she and Amity walked ahead.

Smokescreen and Skara simply looked back into Airachnid's holding room, not very fazed by her horrified appearance.

"She looks like a very menacing robot, Smokey." Skara commented.

"Eh, I could probably take her." Smokescreen replied.

Back in the base's main room, Bulkhead wasn't very happy about Smokescreen and Skara becoming part of Team Prime as the others tried to ease him up.

"If you wanted to replace me, you should've called Seaspray. I could've lived with that." Bulkhead said, crossing his arms in frustration.

"Nobody's replacing you, Bulk." Wheeljack assured.

"For one thing, Smokescreen's too green." Arcee said.

"Well, Bulk's a lot more greener than him." Willow admitted.

"What Arcee means is Smokescreen still has a great deal to learn." Ratchet explained.

"And once you got him and his Witch friend trained, then what, Huh? They're in, I'm a doorstop!" Bulkhead stated angrily.

"Bulkhead, your place with us is not in jeopardy. But there is no dispute that we have long required additional firepower. It is essential that our team learns to work with our new recruits, not against them." Optimus told him.

"Better hope the hotshot's blasters are as big as his mouth and that new Witch girl knows how to do more than sing a good tune." Bulkhead muttered. "How hard can it be?"

"Me and Willow have known Skara for a few years, just like Amity. She was a friend of our old bully, Boscha, and a bit of a jerk just like her. But a few days later after this Grudgby match we had, she started being more of a friend." Gus explained.

"Not only that, but she told us that she wasn't even friend with Boscha anymore a few days before the Club Fair." Willow said, thinking back to that moment as it left her a bit surprised. "It was really unexpected for all of us."

"What do you think made Skara dump that girl?" Cliffjumper asked.

"She never told us." Gus replied.

Vee was currently working at her laptop before she found something that was quite interesting and decided to share it with everyone else.

"Hey, everyone, look what I found!" Vee called out, displaying a familiar image on the main console.

"Ugh, don't tell me it's another Bumblebee sight." Ratchet said annoyingly, only to become surprised once he saw the image. "Oh my…"

As it turns out, the image they were looking at was the same one that Starscream and the Mercenaries found earlier with the Red Energon being their main interest.

"Is that what I think it is?" Jazz asked.

"Red Energon." Optimus identified.

"Here, on Earth?" Ratchet asked in disbelief.

"What's Red Energon?" Hunter questioned.

"An extremely rare and volatile form of Energon. Refined into fuel, it provides the power of hyper-speed." Ratchet explained.

"I doubt it'll take long for the Cons to find out about it." Cliffjumper said in concern.

"We must have Agent Fowler clear the dig site of all human presence, in the event we are not the only ones who have discovered it's location as Cliffjumper suggests." Optimus added.

"Now you're talking." Smokescreen replied as he, Luz, Amity and Skara returned. "Let's scramble up some Cons' circuits."

"If Smokey's going on this mission, then I wanna come, too." Skara stated. "It's been days since I've done something useful."

"Given your limited field experience, I believe further training is required before you are both battle ready." Optimus told them.

"Optimus, with all due respect…" Smokescreen began to protest, feeling he and Skara are more than capable.

"Furthermore, we Autobots live on this planet as robots in disguise. You will need to obtain an Earth-based vehicle mode." Optimus instructed to Smokescreen.

"In order to maintain a low profile, if that's possible for you." Arcee finished.

"If you're talking wheels, bring 'em on." Smokescreen said eagerly.

"And, Skara, you're gonna need a human disguise to blend in just like us." Amity told the Bard Witch girl.

"I can help with that." Gus replied, quickly rushing down from the platform stairs. "I'm an expect when it comes to disguises."

"That sounds okay." Skara said with a smile.

At the dig site, a Ground Bridge appeared in the middle of it and Starscream and Lockdown emerged from it.

"Surprise, humans! We're both here to collect a little something that belongs to our species!" Lockdown stated maliciously.

"The Red Energon is ours, insects! For you are powerless in the face of the mighty Starscream and Lock-" However, Starscream trailed off when he noticed the workers and Red Energon were nowhere in site. "What? Where is it?!"

"Soundblaster, find out where the Red Energon has gone!" Lockdown ordered on the com-link.

"I'm on it, boss." Soundblaster replied.

On a high hill that was very close to the Gravesfield road, Luz and Smokescreen were scoping out some vehicles that the Autobot rookie can use for his alternate form. Gus and Skara were at the Noceda residence to help her get into some human clothes.

"Does that one look good?" Luz asked while pointing at a yellow car.

"Nope." Smokescreen answered.

"Okay, how about that one?" Luz suggested, gesturing to a slow-moving van.

"Nah. It's more Ratchet's speed, don't you think?" Smokescreen commented.

"An airplane?" Luz asked as she noticed a red plane flying above them.

"Yeah, if I were an Aerialbot." Smokescreen said sarcastically. "Seriously? This is the best your planet has to offer?"

"No, but this is Gravesfield. It's a place known for old-timey things." Luz admitted in boredom.

"I feel for ya." Smokescreen replied.

At nighttime in a boarding dock, a Ground Bridge appeared and Optimus, Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Jazz drove out of it before they transformed with their blasters out. Wheeljack and the Hexside Squad remained at base with Ratchet since they felt like they had to watch over Bulkhead for the time being.

"I don't see the Red Energon." Cliffjumper admitted while looking around.

"Up there." Bumblebee said, pointing upwards.

The other Bots followed gaze and saw a large crate hanging from a crane, with a bright red glow emitting from inside.

"Fowler couldn't have a crane operator lower the thing?" Arcee asked rhetorically.

"The humans must have been preparing to transfer the meteor to a cargo ship when they received his evacuation order." Optimus deduced.

"Which makes things hard for you, but a little more easy for us." A voice replied as Team Prime looked ahead to see Starscream and Lockdown standing in front of them.

"Run along home, Autobots. That Red Energon has our name all over it." Starscream proclaimed before he placed the Apex Armor on his chest, causing it to expand around him for a battle. "And I am more than willing to fight for it."

"What's the plan, Prime?" Jazz asked as he and the others got into a fighting stance.

"Secure the Red Energon and have Ratchet bridge it back to base!" Optimus ordered.

Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Jazz ran towards the crane's ladder and Optimus activated his battle mask to face Starscream and Lockdown. Starscream charged straight at Optimus, who fired his blaster at him and it didn't do any damage against the Apex Armor as the former air commander threw a punch at him. Optimus ducked down to dodge and punched Starscream a few times, but he still wasn't harmed and grabbed Optimus by the arm before tossing him in front of Lockdown. Optimus tried to get up, but Lockdown grabbed his back with his hook and spun him around before throwing him straight into a pile of metal crates.

"Haha! This is just too easy!" Lockdown laughed.

"Don't tell us you've already forgotten our last encounter, Prime!" Starscream said mockingly.

The other Autobots climbed up the crane as Bumblebee looked down at Optimus' current state in worridness.

"Keep moving, Bee!" Arcee instructed.

"Optimus is gonna be fine!" Cliffjumper reassured.

They continued climbing as Starscream and Lockdown noticed them, knowing they were intending to get the Red Energon.

"You go deal with those Auto-weaklings while I handle Prime." Lockdown told his buisness partner.

"With pleasure." Starscream replied before he marched towards the crane.

"Optimus, is something wrong?" Ratchet asked as he and the others were listening from the base.

"Starscream and Lockdown have come for the Red Energon. And I fear they will not be deterred in their quest." Optimus said.

Luz, Gus, Skara and Smokescreen then arrived in the base and they overheard the sit. Skara was now wearing a red shirt under a grey unbuttoned denim jacket, black knee-length socks, a red skirt and a pair of black boots.

"Starscream and Lockdown?" Skara repeated. "Who are they?"

"Starscream's a power-hungry ex-Con and Lockdown is a really evil bounty hunter." Luz answered grimly.

"Yeah, I heard stories about those two creeps back on Cybertron." Smokescreen added with a glare. "Send me and Skara in, doc."

"When Optimus requires backup, he will ask for it." Ratchet replied.

"Ah, come on! I got my V more and everything, and Skara's a pro with her magic." Smokescreen argued in complaint. "We're supped up and ready to roll."

"Dat dat dat! What part of further training did you not understand?" Ratchet questioned rhetorically.

"Just send me, Amity and Gus to help the Bots, Ratchet!" Luz stated in confidence.

"We'll be able to give them a big hand." Amity added.

"Very well." Ratchet replied as he activated the Ground Bridge.

"Good luck, you three." Wheeljack said.

"We won't need luck, Jackie." Gus assured before getting onto his staff.

Amity flew next to Luz on her Witch staff and the Hispanic girl stood behind her, allowing them both and Gus to fly into the Ground Bridge while Smokescreen and Skara watched.

"So, do we just stand here and do nothing?" Skara questioned.

"No, I've got another idea." Smokescreen answered. "You with me, Skara?"

Arcee, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Jazz were still climbing the crane as Starscream was now climbing after them.

"Almost there." Jazz muttered.

"The higher you climb, the harder you fall." Starscream taunted to the Bots.

The four Autobots eventually made it to the top of the crane and Bumblebee and Cliffjumper fired their blasters at Starscream, who wasn't damaged due to the Apex Armor as he laughed.

"Autobots, such slow learners." Starscream insulted.

On the ground, Lockdown approached the weakened Optimus as he continued to lay on the metal crates.

"You'll be my finest trophy yet, Prime." Lockdown said with a smirk, preparing to end Optimus with his hook.

But then, a Ground Bridge appeared near Lockdown and Luz, Amity and Gus emerged from it on their staffs. Amity summoned a large whip of Abomination goo and uses it to swipe away Lockdown, making him crash against some other metal crates.

"We can handle this creep, Optimus!" Luz stated, earning a nod from the Autobot leader. "Gus, go help the other Bots!"

"Sure thing!" Gus replied, flying towards the metal crane to help the Bots deal with Starscream.

Lockdown got back up and he glared directly at Luz and Amity, who brought out some Glyphs and summoned an Abomination sword respectively.

"Fine, I'll just kill you two first!" Lockdown shouted before charging at the girls, prompting them to do the same.

Back at the base, Ratchet was trying to contact Optimus for the mission progress with Bulkhead, Wheeljack, Willow, Hunter and Vee listening in.

"Optimus, what is your status?" Ratchet asked.

"Ratchet, they need me. I can do this!" Bulkhead told him, desperate to get into the action.

"No you can't, Bulk." Willow replied.

"Is everything okay, Luz?" Hunter questioned in concern.

"Arcee? Bumblebee? Cliffjumper? Jazz?" Ratchet asked desperately, only to receive static.

"Amity, Gus, talk to us!" Vee called out.

"Did you hear what I said?!" Bulkhead questioned annoyingly.

"I heard, and I'm ignoring you." Ratchet replied with a firm expression. "Wheeljack, I'm sending you to assist them."

"You don't need to tell me twice, Ratch." Wheeljack nodded as he turned and prepared to cross the Ground Bridge, but noticed two people were missing. "Hold on, where're the new kids?"

Everyone else looked around and saw that Smokescreen and Skara had indeed disappeared. As it turns out, both of them were opening the vault door that contained the Phase Shifter.

"That's it?" Skara asked, floating next to her Autobot friend on her Witch staff.

"Yep. That's the one." Smokescreen replied with a smile.

"You there!" Ratchet called, approaching them from the right side. "What in the name of the Allspark do you think you're doing?"

"Wait, Mr Ratchet! It's not what it looks like!" Skara stated reasonably. "Just let me explain what Smokey and I wanna do with that relic thing."

Ratchet raised a metallic eyebrow, slightly willing to hear what the Bard Witch girl had to say.

Arcee and Jazz quickly went over to the crate containing the Red Energon while Bumblebee and Cliffjumper tried to shoot back Starscream. As he still wasn't hurt with the Apex Armor around him, Starscream knocked the two Autobots away and they quickly grabbed onto the crane before they could fall to the ground. Arcee and Jazz tried to reach for the Red Energon, only for them to look back and see Starscream standing over them.

"Time to unload some more deadweight." Starscream said, preparing to grab them.

"STARSCREAM!" A familiar and evil voice yelled out.

Starscream was frightened by that familiar voice and he saw Megatron flying straight at him in his vehicle form.

"Megatron?! No!" Starscream yelled fearfully, stepping back and accidentally going over the edge of the crane.

The former air commander nearly fell down, but grabbed the container and made a hole in it for the Red Energon to be seen. Megatron suddenly vanished into a puff of smoke when he got closer as it was revealed he was actually an illusion created by Gus, who flew down next to the Autobots with a laugh.

"You should've seen the look on your face, Starscream!" Gus stated, laughing his head off. "Making a Megatron illusion was better than I thought!"

"Good one, Gus." Arcee complemented with a slight laugh, while Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and Jazz found it very hysterical.

Starscream reached into the crate and tried grabbing the Red Energon, but ended up losing his grip and pulled only a chunk of the Red Energon out of the crate.

"No!" Starscream shouted, falling down to the ground with a loud scream.

"Starscream just can't do anything right." Lockdown muttered as he witnessed what just happened.

"He's not the only one!" Luz replied, placing a Fire Glyph onto an Abomination fist that Amity made.

Amity aimed the gooey fist at Lockdown and she fired it at his face, making an explosion on contact and knocking out the Cybertronian bounty hunter.

"Nice shot, sweet potato." Luz said kindly.

"Thanks." Amity replied with a sweet smile.

Optimus finally recovered and he approached the crane before climbing up it to meet up with the rest of the team, while Amity and Luz flew towards them on the Abomination Witch girl's staff. Once they made it, Optimus began to pull up the crate towards their position, but then the crane started to shake and tilt. Team Prime looked down to see that Starscream and Lockdown had recovered and that the former air commander was tilting the crane towards the ocean.

"Watch your step, Autobots and Witches!" Starscream said while laughing like a psycho.

"We'll make sure to recover your remains after your big crash!" Lockdown stated sinisterly.

Starscream lifted the crane even more and Team Prime were struggling to keep their balance, with Arcee, Bumblebee and Jazz quickly grabbing Luz, Amity and Gus for safety.

"This isn't good!" Amity exclaimed in worridness. "We need help, now!"

"Ratchet, send Jackie and Willow here!" Cliffjumper ordered on the com-link.

"Reinforcements are already on your way." Ratchet informed, much to the team's confusion.

Just as it seemed Starscream was about to push them over to the other side, a Ground Bridge appeared in the distance and Starscream and Lockdown looked at it in confusion. Suddenly driving out of the Ground Bridge was a white, blue and red Indy 500 McLaren MP4-12C race car with a 38 symbol, which zoomed ahead at great speed before coming to a screeching halt in front of Starscream and Lockdown.

"Apparently, no one defined low profile for him." Arcee said, already figuring out who the race car was.

"That's what he chose?" Cliffjumper asked Luz.

"He just happened to have found that race car near one of the hotels." Luz answered. "Probably belonged to some travelling racing driver."

The race car's door opened up and Skara stepped out with her Witch staff in hand, while Smokescreen transformed into his robot form. Starscream put down the crane as he and Lockdown addressed their new foes.

"So, the Autobots and their Witch pets have two new recruits." Starscream said.

"And you must be Starscream. I thought you'd be taller." Smokescreen replied.

"Hey, I remember you. You're that ugly-looking robot who got beaten up by a single metal arm." Skara realised while smiling slyly, earning an angry growl from Starscream.

"You two have big mouths. I think it'll put them on my ship's walls." Lockdown said, holding up his hook threateningly.

"This is not gonna end well." Jazz said.

"Smokescreen, Skara, stand down! You are no match for Starscream's Apex Armor!" Optimus warned.

"Any last words, Smokescreen and Skara?" Starscream asked, smirking at the new recruits.

"Just four." Skara said before turning to her Autobot friend. "Smokey?"

"Kiss your armor goodbye!" Smokescreen finished, revealing the Phase Shifter on his wrist and activating it.

Smokescreen charged directly at Starscream and Lockdown attempted to intervene, but Skara put her fingers in her mouth and let out a high-pitched sonic whistle. The whistle ended up blowing Lockdown away and Smokescreen jumped at Starscream, phasing through the Apex Armor and knocking Starscream out of it. The former air commander crashed next to Lockdown with a groan before sitting up in shock.

"A Phase Shifter?" Starscream questioned.

"Now that was a plan!" Smokescreen cheered as the Apex Armor collapsed behind him.

"The sonic whistle trick really is powerful. Good thing I learned it from watching the Head Witch of the Bard Track." Skara said proudly.

"Sweet! I like this kid even more, now!" Jazz remarked as he gave Smokescreen an impressed look, while Arcee simply rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Skara is so cool." Gus whispered to himself with a smile, causing Luz and and Amity to grow suspicious.

Lockdown then got up and noticed the Red Energon sample near him and Starscream, prompting both of them to get on their feet.

"You might've gotten our armor, but we've still got what we came for!" Lockdown stated with a glare as he grabbed the Red Energon.

"And besides, you aren't the only one sporting a fancy wrist mounted device." Starscream said, looking up at the Red Energon crate and aiming a wrist missile at it. "Think fast!"

Starscream fired the missile and it made contact with the crate, causing a huge explosion with Team Prime very close to it.

"No!" Smokescreen gasped, fearing the others might be gone.

"Guys!" Skara called out fearfully.

The crate crashed in front of them both as Starscream and Lockdown used their remote to open a Ground Bridge and escape back to the Harbinger. Smokescreen and Skara looked up as the explosion smoke cleared away, revealing Team Prime had moved onto the other crane before they could get caught by the explosion.

"We're okay!" Luz called out assuringly.

"Thank Titan." Skara sighed in relief as Smokescreen approached the Apex Armor.

Later, everyone had arrived back at the Autobot base.

"Told ya I just needed to borrow it for a while. Doc here thought I was trying to steal your relics." Smokescreen said, showing the Phase Shifter to everyone while Skara was once again sitting on his shoulder.

"And that he was planning to use me as a hostage, probably." Skara admitted.

"Only until you both explained your plan to me, which I then sanctioned." Ratchet replied as he took the Phase Shifter back. "It's called protocol."

"Ratchet is correct. Standard procedure must be observed by every member of this team." Optimus agreed, making Smokescreen lower his head and Skara scratched the back of her head. "However, I believe we must also commend Smokescreen. You've proven to be a quick study by choosing to play strategy above bravado, and you have learned to work with other beings by letting Skara assist you on your first mission."

"Well, she and I are fast friends." Smokescreen said, giving the Bard Witch girl a kind smile. "I couldn't just ditch her on a mission."

"It's the truth." Skara agreed.

"There's gonna be no living with him now." Arcee whispered.

"Say what you want about the kid. I still like his style." Jazz replied with a smile.

"Skara joining the team is gonna be so great." Gus said happily. "We'll get to talk more often and she won't be surrounded by jerks like Boscha more often."

"Is that your only reason, Gus?" Willow questioned with a smirk, making him a little tense.

"Are you sure it's mainly not for some other reason?" Hunter asked suspiciously.

"Of course, it's always good to have new friends around." Gus answered while folding his arms sternly. "So, just be quiet."

His friends could only roll their eyes and smirk at him, knowing Gus had a true reason for why he liked Skara being on the team.

"While this may lack the pageantry of a proper Elite Guard ceremony and a Hexside graduation, I wish to welcome both of you to Team Prime." Optimus announced to Smokescreen and Skara.

Smokescreen and Skara looked to everyone else, who showed they were willing to accept them as new members of the team. The two of them smiled gratefully and they gave each other a small high-five to congratulate themselves. But then, Willow heard a depressing groan from behind and she saw Bulkhead weakly standing behind at the back door.

"The newbies did alright." Bulkhead said sadly, looking at the Apex Armor the team brought back.

"It's okay, Bulk. They're still not as good as you." Willow assured as she walked up to her Autobot Guardian.

Bulkhead didn't feel any better and he began limping away into the back room.

"Once you're fully healed, Smokescreen's gonna learn a lot from you on how to be a great Autobot. And I can give Skara a few tips myself." Willow explained, but Bulkhead didn't hear her and kept walking away. "Bulk?"

"It's alright, Willow. He just needs a bit of time." Wheeljack told her, approaching the Plant Witch girl after overhearing her. "Bulk will come around and like the new kids, one day."

"Alright." Willow said as they both looked to where Bulkhead had left.
