Kanto Gets Loud

Chapter 56: Porta Vista Gym Battle

Back in the Porta Vista Gym,

"Shelldon, use Rock Polish!" Raigo called out. Shelldon then began sparking before glowing red.

"Rock Polish increases the user's Speed. Guess Raigo doesn't want to take any chances with against Houndoom," Brock commented.

"Now, use Rock Blast!" Raigo called out. Shelldon then began firing off rock like projectiles at Houndoom.

"Houndoom, use Double Team," Matthew said. Afterimages of Houndoom began appearing all over the battlefield, causing Rock Blast to miss, "Now, use Dark Pulse!" Houndoom then fired off a stream of black rings at Shelldon, causing some damage.

"Hang strong Shelldon! Use Earthquake!" Raigo called out.

"Wait, did he really say 'earthquake'!?" Stella exclaimed. Shelldon then leapt high into the air, before it came crashing down, causing the entire battlefield to shake. Houndoom struggled to keep standing.

"Alright, now use Rollout!" Shelldon then curled inside of it's shell, and rolled straight at Houndoom, striking the Dark Pokemon, and sending it down to defeat.

"Houndoom is unable to battle, the winner is Golem!" the referee declared, as Matthew recalled Houndoom.

"You did your best," he said, as he got his next Pokeball ready, "Go, Shiftry!" he then sent out what appeared to be some kind of Tengu like Pokemon with long, white hair, and fanlike hands. Margo was the one who scanned this Pokemon.

"Shiftry, the Wicked Pokemon, a Grass and Dark Type, and the fully evolved form of Seedot. Shiftry is a mysterious Pokemon that is said to live atop towering trees dating back a thousand years. It can create powerful gusts of wind with the fans it holds," Margo's Pokedex explained.

"Not good. Shiftry is also a Grass Type, which'll make it hard for Golem to battle," Brock commented.

"Shelldon, use Rollout again!" Raigo called out, causing Shelldon to roll straight at Shiftry, when…

"Use Grass Knot," Matthew said. Shiftry then summoned some large blades of grass and tied them together, causing Shelldon to stop Rollout by tripping over the grass, "Now use Energy Ball!" Shiftry then fired an orb of green energy, which was able to send Shelldon down to defeat.

"Golem is unable to battle, the winner is Shiftry!" the referee declared. Raigo recalled Shelldon.

"Well done out there, buddy," Raigo said, as he readied his next Pokeball, "Go, Shogun!" Raigo exclaimed, as he sent out what appeared to be a massive, white Bug Pokemon with armor like scales.

"Whoa, what's that Pokemon?" Zach wondered, as he scanned it.

"Golisopod, the Hard Scale Pokemon, a Bug and Water Type, and the evolved form of Wimpod. It will do whatever it takes to win. It takes advantage of every opening, and finishing off opponents with the small claws on its front legs," his Pokedex explained.

"Bug Pokemon are great against both Grass and Dark Types. Raigo really came prepared," Lincoln commented.

"Even so, he shouldn't let his guard down," Brock stated.

"Shogun, use First Impression!" Raigo called out. In the blink of an eye, Shogun appeared right in front of Shiftry, striking the Wicked Pokemon hard.

"Whoa, I didn't even see it move!" Tabby exclaimed.

"That thing's a lot faster than it appears," Carlota commented.

"Stay strong Shiftry! Use Hurricane!" Matthew called out. Shiftry swung it's hands, causing a tremendous gust of wind to blow violently.

"First Earthquake, now a Hurricane!?" Clyde exclaimed. Shogun was blocking the best it could, but it was taking all of it's strength to keep from getting blown away. Soon, the wind died down.

"That's my son for you… Always covering his Pokemon's weaknesses," Natalie commented.

"Shogun, use Pin Missile!" Raigo called out. Shogun then began firing off Pin Missile from it's back.

"Shiftry, use Air Cutter!" Matthew called out. Shiftry then began firing off Air Cutter, which battled against Pin Missile, but not enough to keep it from getting through, sending it down to defeat. Shogun wasn't too lucky either, as it got struck with Air Cutter as well, causing it to fall to the ground as well.

"Both Shiftry and Golisopod are unable to battle!" the referee declared, as both trainers recalled their Pokemon.

"Got to hand it to you, you're not like most of the challengers we get here," Matthew commented, as he readied his third and final Pokeball.

"Thanks, and you're one of the trickiest Gym Leaders I've faced so far," Raigo replied, as he had his third Pokeball ready.

"Alright, time for the last round! Umbreon, go!" Matthew yelled, sending out a sleek, black quadruped Pokemon with yellow rings on its body.

"Skipper, you're up!" Raigo said, sending out Skipper. Lincoln and Carlota then scanned both Pokemon.

"Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokemon, a Dark Type, and an evolved form of Eevee. When exposed to the aura of the moon, the rings on its body glow, and it gains a mysterious power," Dexter explained.

"Swampert, the Mudfish Pokemon, a Water and Ground Type, and the fully evolved form of Mudkip. It can swim while towing a large ship. It mows down enemies with a swing of its thick arms," Carlota's Pokedex explained.

"Umbreon, use Shadow Ball!" Matthew called out. Umbreon summoned a ball of black energy, and hurled it at Skipper.

"Skipper, use Mud Shot and knock out that Shadow Ball!" Raigo called out. Skipper fired of Mud Shot. When it collided with Shadow Ball, the two moves exploded on impact, "Alright, now use Water Pulse!" Skipper then fired off Water Pulse into the cloud of smoke, hoping to hit Umbreon, when…

"Use Dark Pulse!" a Dark Pulse rocket out from the smoke, striking Skipper hard, "Now, use Foul Play!" Umbreon then charged right at Skipper.

"Skipper, use Power Up Punch!" Skipper then struck Umbreon with a glowing, orange fist, knocking the Moonlight Pokemon back a few feet, barely standing. Skipper then glowed red.

"Power Up Punch does exactly what it says on the box. The more you use it, the higher the user's Attack Power increases," Brock commented.

"Umbreon, use Moonlight!" Matthew called out. Umbreon then summoned what appeared to be actual moonlight that shone down on it, causing the injuries it sustained from Power Up Punch to heal.

"Did Umbreon just heal itself?" Ronnie Anne asked.

"Yes. That's the effect of Moonlight. It restores the user's stamina. But if Skipper lands just one more Power Up Punch, Raigo will claim victory," Brock replied.

"Now Umbreon, use Foul Play!" Umbreon once more charged at Skipper.

"Alright Skipper, just like before, use Power Up Punch!" Skipper once again geared up for Power Up Punch, when…

"Now, evade it!" Umbreon skillfully dodged the attack, and struck Skipper, causing a lot of damage to the Mudfish Pokemon.

"Foul Play can be used to turn your opponent's Attack power against them. The higher the Attack Power, the more damage it does," Misty commented.

"Now, just one more Shadow Ball ought to do the trick!" Matthew declared, as Umbreon fired off Shadow Ball again.

"I don't think so! Skipper, use Surf!" Raigo called out. Skipper then summoned a tidal wave, and rode on it, all the way over to Umbreon, as Shadow Ball harmlessly popped upon making impact. Umbreon got swallowed up by the water, and was sent down to defeat.

"Umbreon is unable to battle, the winner is Swampert! Therefore, the winner is Raigo of Lavaridge Town!" the referee declared.

"Aww yeah!" Raigo cheered for himself, as Matthew recalled Umbreon.

"Well fought old friend," he said, turning to Raigo, "That was an excellent battle, Raigo. You've certainly shown why you have the badges in your badge case."

"Thanks!" Raigo replied, as he recalled Skipper.

"I'll hold off on giving you your badge until the other two are done with their challenges, so just hang tight, alright?" Matthew asked.

"Ok," Raigo replied, as he left the trainer's box.

"The next battle will be between Gym Leader Kate and Challenger Leaf Rose!" the referee declared, as both trainers went to take their positions, "The same rules from the previous round apply, except both trainers are only allowed two Pokemon. Only when both of either side's Pokemon are unable to battle will the winner be decided!"

"Ok Leaf, let's see what you're made of! Go, Mr. Mime!" Kate said, sending out what appeared to be a white and pink mime like Pokemon, that began doing some pantomime.

"A clown Pokemon?" Girl Jordan questioned, as she scanned it.

"Mr. Mime, the Barrier Pokemon, a Psychic and Fairy Type. It is known for it's top-notch pantomime skills, which can create invisible walls. If you don't act impressed, it won't hesitate to attack with a Double Slap," her Pokedex explained.

"So, it creates barriers using pantomime?" Clyde asked.

"I don't think so. I think it has more to do with some kind of force it emits from its fingertips that makes barriers out of thin air," Goh replied, looking at his own Pokedex.

"In that case, Pawniard, you're up!" Leaf said, sending out a small, humanoid Pokemon with grey and red armor adorned with blades. Tabby then scanned this Pokemon.

"Pawniard, the Sharp Blade Pokemon, a Dark and Steel Type. It follow's Bisharp's orders to a tee when it attacks enemies. After slashing an opponent, Pawniard clangs both of it's blades together," her Pokdex explained.

"I think my Dad would love to have something like that helping him in the kitchen," Clyde commented.

"Abuela too, probably," Bobby commented.

"Since Pawniard is a Dark Type, Mr. Mime's Psychic attacks won't have any effect. Not to mention, being a Steel Type gives Pawniard an offensive advantage too," Brock commented.

"Alright, the first match is Mr. Mime Vs. Pawniard! The challenger has the first move! Begin!" the referee declared.

"Alright Pawniard, lets start off with Hone Claws!" Leaf called out. Pawniard then began swinging it's claws around, glowing red as it did.

"Hone Claws is a move that increases both Attack Power and accuracy. Not too shabby, but not good enough either. Mr. Mime, use Reflect!" Kate called out. Mr. Mime then began waving its hands around, forming a barrier.

"As long as Reflect is in effect, Kate's team will have their defenses increased," Brock commented.

"Now Pawniard, use Poison Jab!" Leaf called out. Pawniard then charged at Mr. Mime, claws glowing purple. Once it was close enough, Pawniard then jabbed at Mr. Mime. Although the attack did make contact, it was weakened by Reflect.

"Such a shame. Since Poison Type attacks are also super effective on Fairy Types, Poison Jab would've done more damage," Misty commented.

"Now Mr. Mime, use Brick Break!" Kate called out. Mr. Mime then slammed Pawniard into the ground with a powerful karate chop, defeating the Sharp Blade Pokemon instantly.

"Pawniard is unable to battle, the winner is Mr. Mime!" the referee declared.

"No way, just like that?!" Lincoln exclaimed.

"I know that Pawniard is doubly weak to Fighting Type moves, but that was brutal!" Raigo commented.

"Hey, take a look at Mr. Mime," Stella commented, noticing that Mr. Mime looked ill.

"That's an additional effect of Poison Jab. It can sometimes poison an opponent," Brock explained, as Leaf recalled Pawniard.

"You did wonderfully out there," Leaf said, as she readied her next Pokeball; a Net Ball, "Now, go Scolipede!" she called out, sending out a massive, red centipede Pokemon.

"Ick, what is that?!" Leni exclaimed, as she scanned it.

"Scolipede, the Megapede Pokemon, a Bug and Poison Type, and the fully evolved form of Venipede. Scolipede latches on its prey with the claws on its neck before slamming them into the ground and proceeding to jab them with its claws' toxic spikes," her Pokedex explained.

"A bit of a risky move, sending a Poison Type like Scolipede up against a Psychic Type Mr. Mime," Misty commented.

"Maybe there's some method to her madness?" Lincoln theorized.

"Alright Mr. Mime, let's finish this up with Psybeam!" Kate called out. Mr. Mime then fired off Psybeam at Scolipede, when…

"Protect!" Leaf called out. Scolipede then summoned Protect to block Psybeam, "Now, use Venoshock!" Scolipede then fired off Venoshock. The resulting combination of Venoshock and the damage from Poison dealt Mr. Mime enough damage to send it down to defeat.

"Mr. Mime is unable to battle, the winner is Scolipede!" the referee declared, as Kate recalled Mr. Mime.

"Whoa, what was with that move?" Stella asked.

"That was Venoshock. If it's used on a Pokemon that's afflicted with Poison Status, then it does more damage," Brock replied.

"Alright, now for one of my strongest Pokemon! Go, Sylveon!" Kate said, sending out a Sylveon, except it was blue instead of pink, and sparkled upon materializing. Ronnie Anne scanned it with her Pokedex.

"Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokemon, a Fairy Type, and an evolved form of Eevee. By releasing enmity-erasing waves from its ribbon like feelers, Sylveon can stop any conflict," her Pokedex explained.

"That must be the Shiny form of Sylveon," Lincoln commented.

"Alright, the next round of Sylveon VS Scolipede; BEGIN!" the referee declared.

"Scolipede, use Toxic!" Leaf called out.

"Don't think so! Sylveon, use Misty Terrain!" just as Scolipede was ready to fire off Toxic, Sylveon summoned a pink mist all across the battlefield, which stopped Toxic from working.

"Not good. Misty Terrain is a move that not only cuts the damage dealt by Dragon Type moves in half, but it also keeps the user from suffering any status ailments," Brock commented.

"Which means Leaf is going to have to rely on Scolipede's other attacks," Misty commented.

"Scolipede, use Poison Tail!" Leaf called out. Scolipede then charge straight at Sylveon, its tail glowing purple.

"Sylveon, use your feelers to jump!" Kate called out. Sylveon then slammed its feelers on the ground, and leapt out of the way, just as Scolipede swung its tail at it, "Now, use Swift!" Sylveon then fired off Swift, damaging Scolipede in the process.

"Hang strong Scolipede! Use Poison Tail, once more!" Scolipede then leapt up, and struck Sylveon with Poison Tail again, sending it skidding across the battlefield.

"Don't take that Sylveon! Use Psychic!" Kate called. Sylveon then fired off Psychic, which caused quite a bit of damage, but not enough to defeat Scolipede.

"Ok Scolipede, it's all or nothing! Use Venoshock!" Leaf called. Scolipede once again fired off Venoshock, striking Sylveon, who was now barely able to keep standing.

"Sylveon, use Moonblast!" Kate called out. Sylveon summoned a ball of pink energy, and fired it right at Scolipede.

"Scolipede, Protect!" Scolipede was quick to summon Protect, blocking Moonblast, "Alright, one more time, use Venoshock!" Scolipede then fired off another round of Venoshock, striking Sylveon, and sending it down to defeat.

"Sylveon is unable to battle, the winner is Scolipede, and therefore, the victor is Leaf Rose of Pallet Town!" the referee declared.

"Yay! Scolipede, you're the best!" Leaf praised, much to a bashful Scolipede's embarrassment.

"Not bad. That's two wins for the challengers in a row. Lets see if the third guy can make it three-for-three," Kate commented, as she recalled Sylveon.

"Well, looks like I'm up," Lincoln said, as he got up.

"Good luck down there, buddy," Clyde said.

"Thanks," Lincoln replied, as he left the bleachers. On the Gym Leader's side, Natalie stood up, causing her massive breasts to bounce a bit.

"Well, this should be quite the battle," she commented, as she sauntered her way up to the battlefield, just as Lincoln did the same.

"The final round will be Gym Leader Natalie against Lincoln Loud of Royal Woods, Michigan! Three Pokemon are allowed for each side. The battle will continue until all of either side's Pokemon can no longer battle. No substitutions may be made at any time! Now, trainers, select your first Pokemon!" the referee stated.

"Alright, little boy, lets see how well you play in the big leagues. Go, Dragonair!" Natalie said, as she tossed her first Pokeball, releasing a Dragonair of her own.

"So Natalie is a Dragon Type specialist. This could be a rough match for Lincoln," Brock commented.

"What do you mean?" Bobby asked.

"See, Lincoln has battled several types of Pokemon since he's been in Kanto, but Dragon Types are among the few he hasn't battle against," Brock explained.

"Ok, so her first Pokemon is Dragonair, in that case, I'll see her Dragon for Dragon!" Lincoln said, as he sent out his own Dragonair.

"Oh! Not often I see a trainer with so few badges with a Dragonair," Natalie commented in surprise.

"So it's going to be Dragonair VS Dragonair. Depending on the levels, Lincoln's should have the edge," Tabby commented.

"Maybe so, but this is a Gym Leader's Dragonair we're talking about. I doubt Natalie will make it easy for Lincoln," Misty replied.

"The first round, Dragonair VS Dragonair! The challenger has the first move! Battle begin!" the referee declared.

"Ok Dragonair, lets start strong with Ice Beam!" Lincoln called out.

"Got it!" his Dragonair replied, as he fired off Ice Beam at the opposing Dragonair.

"Hitting us with a super effective Ice Type Move, huh? Clever, but we've got tricks of our own. Dragonair, use Agility to dodge!" Natalie called out. Her Dragonair quickly evaded Ice Beam, which froze a chunk of the pool instantly, "Now, use Dragon Rush!" her Dragonair surrounded itself in cyan energy, and charged straight at Lincoln's Dragonair.

"Quick, use Dragon Tail and smack it away!" Lincoln instructed.

"Already on it!" his Dragonair replied, as his tail became enveloped in the same cyan energy as Natalie's Dragonair's Dragon Rush, and swung it just as the other Dragonair was about to make contact. When Dragon Rush was canceled, Natalie's Dragonair was sent back to its Pokeball, and replaced with a new one. A large, grey pterodactyl like Pokemon.

"Whoa, is that an actual pterodactyl!?" Liam exclaimed, as he scanned it.

"Aerodactyl, the Fossil Pokemon, a Rock and Flying Type. Aerodactyl once roamed the skies in the dinosaur era. It's teeth are like saw blades," his Pokedex explained.

"So, it's not a Dragon Type?" Tabby asked.

"No. That's the thing about Gym Leaders. Sometimes they train Pokemon other than their own specialty, in Natalie's case, that would be Dragon Types," Brock replied.

"Ok, but how did Natalie switch out her Dragonair for Aerodactyl?" Girl Jordan asked.

"It's because of the Dragon Tail Lincoln's Dragonair had used. An additional effect of it can cause the opponent to swap out for another Pokemon on their team," Brock explained.

"Ok, not quite according to how I planned, but I can still work with this. Dragonair, use Water Pulse!" Lincoln called out. Dragonair then fired off Water Pulse, sending it straight at Aerodactyl.

"Now aiming for Aerodactyl's weakness. Smart kid, but ultimately fruitless. Aerodactyl, Protect!" Natalie called out. Aerodactyl summoned Protect, blocking Water Pulse, "Now, use Dragon Dance, then into Ice Fang!" Aerodactyl then performed Dragon Dance, powering up it's Attack and Speed, before swooping down at Dragonair, it's teeth coated in icy energy.

"Dragonair, quick, use Dragon Dance too, and then into Iron Tail!" Lincoln called out. Dragonair then did Dragon Dance itself, and was quick to dodge Ice Fang, and smack Aerodactyl with Iron Tail. Aerodactyl was still able to get back up, however.

"Nice form Aerodactyl! Now, use Iron Head!" Natalie called. Aerodactyl then rammed into Dragonair with Iron Head, sending the Dragon Pokemon into a large rock.

"You still good to keep going, Dragonair?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, I think so. But we should try to keep from taking any more hits. That last one really took a lot out of me," Dragonair replied.

"Ok, so we need to try and wrap this up in one hit. Use Water Pulse!" Lincoln called out. Dragonair then fired Water Pulse, which was able to strike Aerodactyl, causing a lot of damage.

"Aerodactyl, are you alright?" Natalie called out. Aerodactyl nodded, "Good, now, use Giga Impact!" Aerodactyl then charged straight at Dragonair with spiraling energy surrounding it.

"Dragonair, dodge, and use Iron Tail!" Lincoln called. Dragonair attempted to dodge, but it was a little too late, as Giga Impact made contact, sending Dragonair down to defeat.

"Lincoln's Dragonair is unable to battle, the winner Aerodactyl!" the referee declared, as Lincoln recalled Dragonair.

"You did well, Dragonair. We can take it from here," Lincoln said.

"Tough break. Now Lincoln's down by one," Clyde commented.

"But this could be an opportunity for a comeback," Brock commented.

"What do you mean?" Leni asked.

"See, when a Pokemon uses Giga Impact, they can't move for a while," Misty explained.

"Alright, for my next Pokemon, Gawain, you're up!" Lincoln said, sending out Gawain.

"Oh! Now we're using a Perrserker? You've certainly got quite the diverse collection of Pokemon," Natalie commented.

"Thanks, and we're about to use that diversity to the fullest! Gawain, use Iron Head!" Lincoln called out.

"On it!" Gawain replied, as he unleashed Iron Head on Aerodactyl, who was still recharging from Giga Impact, sending the Fossil Pokemon back into a rock, and down to defeat.

"Aerodactyl is unable to battle, the winner is Perrserker!" the referee declared. Natalie then recalled Aerodactyl.

"You were right, Brock. Lincoln took advantage of the opening from Giga Impact and clenched the round," Margo commented.

"Yep, and now it's all evened up. Of course, Natalie's Dragonair took some damage from before, so if she sends it out again, Lincoln would need to finish it quickly," Brock commented.

"Alright, Dragonair, you're up once again!" Natalie called, as she sent out her Dragonair again.

"Let's keep up the pressure, Gawain! Use Night Slash!" Lincoln called out. Gawain whipped out his claws, that were glowing purple, and charged straight at Dragonair.

"Dragonair, use Dragon Rush!" Natalie called. Dragonair surrounded itself in cyan energy, and charged straight at Gawain like a meteor. Both attacks clashed, causing an explosion sending both of them back, though Gawain looked like he didn't take much damage.

"Since Gawain is a Steel Type, it doesn't take much damage from Dragon Type Moves. Dragonair, on the other hand, can still take quite a bit of damage from Dark Type Moves, especially with how high Night Slash's Critical Hit Ratio is," Brock commented.

"Alright Gawain, lets use Pay Day!" Lincoln called out. Gawain then fired off Pay Day, which not only damaged Dragonair enough to send it down to defeat, but also caused coins to scatter around the battlefield.

"Natalie's Dragonair is unable to battle, the winner is Perrserker!" the referee declared. Natalie recalled Dragonair.

"Not too bad, kid. It's been a while since I've had a Four Badge Battle like this," Natalie commended.

"And you're definitely not making this battle easy for me either," Lincoln replied.

"True. But you've still got one more battle to get through before I can give you a Badge! Here's my Four Badge Team's Ace Pokemon! Go, Kingdra!" Natalie said, as she sent out a seahorse like Pokemon that, to Lincoln, looked like a larger form of the Seadra he battled earlier. He took out his Pokedex to scan it.

"Kingdra, the Dragon Pokemon, a Water and Dragon Type, and the fully evolved form of Horsea. It stores energy by sleeping in caves deep underwater where no other life can survive. It can create whirlpools by yawning," Dexter explained.

"Now that Natalie's down to her last Pokemon, this shouldn't be too difficult for Lincoln, right?" Rusty asked.

"I doubt it," all eyes focused on Raigo, "Even if Gawain didn't take that much damage from Dragon Rush, the damage is still there, and Kingdra is fresh as a daisy. But on the other hand, Lincoln does have another Pokemon still waiting to battle, and even then, his chances for victory are slim."

"Alright Gawain, let's keep up the pressure, just like before! Use Night Slash!" Lincoln called. Gawain then whipped out Night Slash and charged straight at Kingdra.

"Dive underwater!" Natalie called out. Kingdra was quick to dive, effectively dodging Night Slash, "Now, use Hydro Pump!" from the watery depths of the pool, a power geyser of water shot out, striking Gawain, "Now, lets use Laser Focus, then into Bubblebeam!" Kingdra resurfaced, it's eyes glowing a misty blue, before firing off Bubblebeam, striking Gawian once more, and sending him down to defeat.

"Perrserker is unable to battle, the winner is Kingdra!" the referee declared, as Lincoln recalled Gawain.

"That was wicked! And what was that 'Laser Focus' she called out?" Haiku asked.

"Laser Focus is a move that guarantees the next move is a Critical Hit. And taking a Bubblebeam attack right after a Hydro Pump really stacked on some serious damage," Brock explained.

"Alright, now for my third Pokemon, go Star!" Lincoln said, sending out his Clefairy, Star.

"Ah, a Clefairy. Using a Fairy Type Pokemon against my Dragon Type Kingdra is a smart move. But we'll see just how smart a move that is," Natalie said.

"Friend Lincoln, you're letting me have this last round?" Star asked.

"Yep. Can I count on you with this?" Lincoln asked.

"I won't let you down!" Star replied.

"Alright the final bout of Kingdra vs Clefairy. Begin!" the referee declared.

"Ok, let's make our first hit a guaranteed one! Use Disarming Voice!" Lincoln called out. Star then fired off Disarming Voice, which homed in on Kingdra, striking it hard.

"Hang in there, Kingdra! Use Agility!" Natalie called out. Kingdra, with a new burst of speed got out from Disarming Voice's grasp, "Now, use Flash Cannon!"

"Watch out Lincoln! Flash Cannon is a Steel Type Move!" Brock warned.

"What?! In that case, Star, get ready to use Protect!" Lincoln called, as Kingdra fired off a beam of white and gray energy straight at Star. Fortunately, Star was able to get Protect up just in time to avoid taking damage, "This can get pretty dangerous if it drags on. Guess it's all or nothing with this move; Star, use Metronome!" Star then started waving her fingers high in the air.

"Lincoln's taking a pretty big gamble with this. Metronome becomes any random move, which means he could end up with a move that'll deal massive damage, or no damage at all," Misty commented.

"Kingdra, quick, before it finishes up, use Laser Focus, then into Iron Head!" Natalie called out. Kingdra once again used Laser Focus, then charged headfirst at Star, who had just finished up with Metronome. The result was a blast of icy energy that encased Kingdra in ice, before it exploded, sending Kingdra back. It was still standing, but barely.

"Looks like Lincoln wound up with Freeze Dry," Leaf commented.

"What's Freeze Dry?" Zach asked.

"It's an Ice Type Move that's super effective on Water Type Pokemon. And since Kindgra's also a Dragon Type, the attack dealt double the damage," Brock explained.

"Kingdra, use Hydro Pump, full power!" Natalie called. Kingdra then fired off Hydro Pump right at Star.

"Quick Star! Dodge it, then use Disarming Voice!" Lincoln called out. Star was able to evade Hydro Pump at the last second, and fired off Disarming Voice, striking and taking down Kingdra.

"Kingdra is unable to battle, the winner is Clefairy! Therefore, the victor is Lincoln Loud, the Challenger!" the referee declared.

"Alright! Nicely done, Star!" Lincoln praised, scooping up his Clefairy.

"Thanks, Friend Lincoln, but I have to say, they didn't make it easy for me," Star replied. Natalie recalled her Kingdra.

"Well done, little man. Not too many challengers with three gym badges are able to pull off a victory on me," Natalie praised.

"Thanks," Lincoln replied, still trying to keep his line of vision above Natalie's neckline.

"Now that that's settled, the three of have something for the three of you," Kate said, as she, Matthew, and a tracksuit wearing trainer walked over, each with trays in hand. On each of them were a different badge, along with three TMs. One Matthew's tray, there was a badge that looked like a demon's eye, along with three black colored TMs. On Kate's tray, there was a pink crescent moon shaped badge with lavender colored TMs. Finally, on the tray the tracksuit trainer brought Natalie, there was a badge shaped like a fang, along with three blue and red colored TMs.

"Raigo, as proof that you won at the Porta Vista Gym, I present you with the Abyss Badge," Matthew said, as he gave the Badge to Raigo.

"Awesome!" Raigo commented.

"Next up is Leaf. For your victory, I give you the Crescent Badge," Kate said, as Leaf accepted the spoils of her battle.

"Thanks so much!" Leaf said.

"And finally, Lincoln Loud, you've earned the Primal Badge for you victory over me," Natalie said, giving Lincoln his hard-fought badge.

"Thank you, Natalie," Lincoln replied. All three of them then put their new badges into their badge cases.

"Next up, you've also won not one, not two, but three TMs! First up are my TMs. These will teach your Pokemon how to use Dark Pulse. It's a move that can sometimes cause the opponent to flinch," Matthew said, as he distributed his TMs.

"Up next are my TMs for the move Dazzling Gleam. A handy Fairy Type Move for a Pokemon to learn," Kate said, as each trainer took one of the TMs.

"And finally, my TMs will teach your Pokemon the move Dragon Claw, one of the most popular Dragon Type Moves there is," Natalie said, as she handed out her TMs.

"Wow, thanks so much," Lincoln commented, as his friends came over.

"Not bad battling, Lincoln," Ronnie Anne commented.

"That gamble with Metronome really paid off bigtime," Brock added.

"And this makes your fourth badge, right?" Liam asked.

"That's right," Lincoln replied.

"Well, if you guys are wanting to find your next gym challenge, I know of three different ferries that'll leave for three different locations, those being the Seafoam Islands, Fushia City, and Maiden's Peak," Natalie replied.

"I think I'll take the ferry over to Seafoam Islands," Raigo commented.

"I want to check out the Safari Zone that's in Fushia City," Leaf commented.

"And I've got an important meeting over at Maiden's Peak," Lincoln added.

"So, I guess we're all splitting up again. Let's make the next time we meet at the Pokemon League!" Raigo declared.

"Sounds like a plan," Leaf replied.

"But before you guys go, why not check out the Gym's Gift Shop for some Porta Vista Souvenirs?" Kate suggested.

"Well, it would be nice to get a little something from here," Lincoln commented.

"And we've got a special deal just for you," Natalie replied.

"What kind of deal?" Raigo asked.

"How does a book full of my modeling sound?" Natalie asked, as she pulled out three books, each featuring a cover picture of her in fancy lingerie or a skimpy bikini, "These three volumes have some of my best photoshoots yet."

"You're a model? But why are you dressed like…?"

"A cavewoman? To be perfectly blunt, I dress this way because I think I look hot in it," Natalie cut off Leni.

"I think 'hot' is a criminal understatement," Girl Jordan bluntly stated.

"So, what do you say? I'll give each of you all three copies for only 3000 Pokedollars. They even have my secret for growing your breasts and butt to my size. Granted, it'll only gradually happen over time, but still," Natalie offered.

"Wait, you're seriously just handing out books with you in super skimpy outfits?!" Raigo exclaimed.

"Well, yeah. I figured it'd be a nice way for you all to remember your time in Porta Vista," Natalie replied.

"I swear, it's women like you…" Ronnie Anne then slammed down her Trainer ID, and bought the first set, "That make life worthwhile!" she happily said, holding her new purchases close to her chest. The others proceeded to purchase their own sets as well. Just then, one of the Punk Gym Trainers came in.

"Pardon me, Gym Leadr Natalie, but your husband is here," he said.

"Is he, now? Well, today certainly wasn't very long for him," Natalie commented, just as the Mayor of Porta Vista walked into the battlefield room, "Hi honey!" she greeted.

"Hello, Natalie. And my, you and the kids certainly have a lot of challengers today," the Mayor replied, noticing the large group.

"Oh no, Daddy, we only had three challengers today. The others are just spectators," Kate replied.

"I see," the Mayor replied, before he took another look at them, "Hey, aren't they the people who helped out with keeping the Tentacool from wrecking the rest of Porta Vista?"

"That's right, Dad. Some of them were even responsible for holding off Nastina to keep her from waging an attack of the Tentacool," Matthew replied.

"Speaking of which, what became of that hag?" Natalie asked.

"Nastina's serving prison time for environmental crimes, as well as being forced to pay a hefty fine," the Mayor replied.

"Serves her right," Natalie replied.

"But now, I need to properly thank these youngsters for keeping the situation with the Tentacool from escalating out of control," the Mayor replied, as he approached them, "Excuse me, but I remember all of you yesterday had a hand in stopping Nastina's illegal construction project."

"Yes, that's right. And you're the Mayor of Porta Vista, right?" Lincoln replied.

"Indeed I am, young man. I would like to properly thank you all for your hand in what you did yesterday. Name it, and if it's in my power, I will grant it," the Mayor replied. The group looked at one another.

"Well, this could help out with getting our ferry tickets to our next destinations," Leaf commented.

"Plus, it would be rude to just refuse such a kind offer," Rusty added.

"Then I guess we're all in agreement," Bobby replied.

"Mr. Mayor, we'd like to take three different ferries to different destinations," Lincoln replied.

"That is well within my power. Where are you all headed to?" the Mayor asked.

"I'm heading over to the Seafoam Islands to challenge the Ice Type Gym there," Raigo chimed.

"I want to go to Fushia City," Leaf said.

"And the rest of us want to go to Maiden's Peak," Lincoln said.

"Very well. I'll go and arrange for your ferries," the Mayor replied, turning to his wife and kids, "My love, would you and the kids like to join me?"

"Certainly," Natalie replied, as she, Matthew, and Kate all followed the Mayor out of the gym.

"That guy is lucky to have such a babe like her for a wife," Sid commented, watching Natalie's hips as she sauntered out.

"Well, I don't about you guys, but I'm going to look into those souvenirs," Lincoln commented, as he slipped his books into his bag.

"I think we'll follow you up on that one, little Loud," Bobby replied, as they all left the room.

Later that day,

The gang had finished up their shopping, and were standing on the pier, where they saw several ferry liners docked in the marina, "Ok, once they get here with the tickets, we can get on our way," Brock commented, as they were looking around for their respective ships.

"I think that one there's my ship," Raigo commented, looking over at one of the ships.

"And mine's over there," Leaf added, seeing another ship.

"And ours is right here," Lincoln said, looking up at a ferry liner they were standing next to. Just then, the Mayor, along with Natalie, Kate, and Matthew made their way over to them.

"It took a bit more doing than I would've liked, but it was worth it. Here are your tickets," the Mayor said, as he and his two kids distributed the tickets.

"Thanks, Mr. Mayor," Lincoln replied.

"Never forget the battle you three had with us today. It'll stick with you for the rest of your journeys," Natalie stated.

"And don't be strangers! Come back any time!" Kate said.

"Yeah, I think we will someday. Hopefully without any sinking ships," Misty replied.

"Yeah, that would be much preferred," Matthew replied. With that, Lincoln's group went their separate ways from Raigo and Leaf, as they all boarded their respective ships and began sailing off.

"So, what's this meeting you have planned in Maiden's Peak?" Clyde asked Lincoln.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, so we'll just have to wait till we get there," Lincoln replied.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Japan,

After getting home, Nana had gotten on her computer to videochat with three alien beings, each of whom looked to be teenaged girls. The first was a tall, slender alien woman. Her skin was as black as coal, and had long, white hair. The only noticeable features about her face were her eyes and nose. She was dressed like an Arabian Harem dancer. The second was a newt like being with lite blue colored flesh. She had murky blue hair that had the bangs curled up in front. She was also wearing an elegant white dress. The third was an orange cobra like woman, wearing what appeared to be warrior type armor, "So, Nana, you're saying that among all the potential suitors in the galaxy, you've decided to follow in your sister's footsteps and get engaged to a human?" the white-haired alien woman asked.

"Well, yes. In the short time I've known him, he's kind of grown on me," Nana replied.

"But isn't Earth one of the more primitive civilized planets?" the cobra woman asked.

"It is, but if you've lived here as long as my sisters and I have, you can really come to appreciate their simple lifestyle," Nana replied.

"Well, there's no doubt that your father is going to want to see this boy for himself," the newt woman chimed in.

"Which is one of the reason's I'm kind of hesitant about telling him about it, Gyleena. You know how short-tempered Daddy is," Nana replied.

"True. But still, could WE at least see what he looks like?" the white-haired alien asked.

"Sure thing, Xalanna. Just give me a second," Nana said, as she hooked up her D-Dial to her computer, and uploaded a picture of Lincoln up on screen.

"So that's the 'Lincoln Loud' human you've allowed yourself to be engaged to?" Gyleena asked.

"A bit on the lanky side, don't you think?" the cobra girl asked.

"Maybe so, Vaxeena, but he is smart. He comes up with all kinds of plans to get through whatever challenges are thrown his way without the need for excessive violence," Nana replied.

"Well, brains are also a good trait to have in terms of a mate. Perhaps we'll be able to meet him someday to see what he's like for ourselves?" Xalanna suggested.

"Maybe. But for now, do you three think you can keep my engagement to him a secret? I don't want my parents finding out about this development," Nana pleaded, unaware of three beings behind her. Her three friends looked a little stunned, "Is something wrong? You look like…" then, it dawned on her, "My parents are standing right behind me, aren't they?"

"Weeeeeeell, yeah, they are. And they're not alone," Gyleena replied in a wincing tone. Nana slapped herself in the face.

"Oh, my head hurts so much right now!" she whined.
