Kanto Gets Loud

Chapter 61: Lavender Town Showdown

On the outskirts of Lavender Town,

The sun was starting to set, as the Shuttle Bus from the Maiden's Peak Gym was nearing the Lavender Town City Limits. Inside the bus, Lincoln, Brock, Misty, Yurei, and all of the Gym Trainers from Yurei's Gym were sitting patiently as they neared closer, "So, what's our plan?" Chad asked.

"First, we need to gather information about what Team Rocket's doing inside Pokemon Tower. Once we've arrived at the Pokemon Center, we'll need to ask around Lavender Town," Yurei replied.

"To do that, we should probably split up and get information from different sections of the town," Lincoln suggested.

"Good thinking. But remember to keep a low profile. Team Rocket may be holed up in the Tower, but that doesn't mean that they might not be roaming the streets," Yurei warned.

"In other words, when we do split up, we should go in groups of at least three or four," Brock replied.

"That sounds more than acceptable," Yurei agreed.

"If it's alright, I can join you and your friends, Lincoln," Amber volunteered.

"Sure. We'd like to have some extra hands," Lincoln replied. Amber felt her heart skip a beat. After another ten minutes, the bus arrived at the Pokemon Center. Upon stepping outside, Lincoln was greeted to the sight of a rather dismal looking town, shrouded in a very light mist. Nearby, he saw what he assumed was the Pokemon Tower.

"I'll lead some of the Gym Trainers to the North End of Town. Chad, you'll lead another section to the south. Amber, you, Lincoln, Misty and Brock handle the central part of town. We'll meet back here in three hours!" Yurei proclaimed.

"YES, YUREI!" the Gym Trainers all replied, as they all split off towards their respective sections. Lincoln and company made their way to Central Lavender Town.

"So, where should start first?" Lincoln asked.

"I remember hearing about a Pokemon House, where orphaned or abandoned Pokemon are taken care of. We should start there," Brock suggested.

"Sounds as good a place as any to start," Lincoln replied, as the four of them made their way through town. As they walked, Lincoln noticed that the townsfolk looked at them with rather dirty and/or suspicious looks, "Hey, doesn't it seem like people are watching us?" his companions noticed this too.

"You're right," Brock replied.

"I guess the locals don't take too kindly to strangers," Misty replied.

"You're right. Because of the reputation Lavender Town has, the locals pride themselves in their services in the Pokemon Tower. Team Rocket's actions must be making them pretty untrusting towards out of towners," Amber replied.

"Well, we can't really blame them. After all, gravesites are places of great importance and respect. So, Team Rocket being here must have the townsfolk really mad," Lincoln added.

"Which means we need to get rid of them fast," Brock replied. Soon, they arrived at what appeared to be a nursery.

"Is this the place?" Lincoln asked.

"Indeed. We can head on in. The Pokemon House is open to the public," Amber replied, as they proceeded to enter. Inside the house, the four trainers were met with the sight of several people talking to one another. They were approached by a girl about Lucy's age.

"Hello there. Are you here to help volunteer?" she asked.

"Uh, not as such. We're some traveling trainers who heard about a predicament at the Tower," Lincoln replied, causing the nearby people to stop talking. The girl had a rather somber look on her face.

"And I'm one of the Gym Trainers from Maiden's Peak," Amber added. A look of hope then worked its way onto the girl's face, as well as the others.

"So we actually managed to get help!"

"Thank goodness!"

"Now we might be able to stand a chance of ousting Team Rocket!"

"That's right and all, but we need to know everything that's happened. When did Team Rocket show up, and why did they take over the Pokemon Tower?" Lincoln asked.

"Ok, we'll explain, but we need start at the beginning. Come with me for a moment," the girl said, as she led the four into the next room, where they saw several pens, each one with a Pokemon inside, ranging from Growlithe, Oddish, and what Lincoln guessed was the Kantonian form of Vulpix, "For starters, this place, the Pokemon House, is actually the home of a good woman by the name of 'Mrs. Fuji'. She turned her home into a sanctuary for any abandoned or orphaned Pokemon."

"Well, that's certainly nice of her," Misty commented.

"Yes. Mrs. Fuji is well liked by everyone here in Lavender Town, and many townsfolk even come to volunteer to help out. Not only that, but she used to be married to an accomplished Pokemon Researcher who knows tons about Pokemon," the girl replied.

"Sounds like someone I'd like to meet," Lincoln commented, before he noticed one particular Pokemon in one pen. It was a Cubone, and it was holding its bone close to it, looking at the five of them with hostility and/or distrust, "A Cubone?"

"Yes. But this one is only friendly towards Mrs. Fuji, and is really nervous around everyone else," the girl replied.

"Really? Why's that?" Amber asked.

"I can give ya three guesses," a familiar voice said, as they turned to see none other than…

"AJ?!" Lincoln, Brock, and Misty exclaimed.

"Long time no see," AJ greeted, approaching them.

"We haven't seen him since before Vermillion City," Pikachu commented.

"Quite right," Lincoln replied, before turning to the older boy, "So, what brings you to Lavender Town, AJ?"

"What else? I received a call for any and all able Pokemon Trainers to come and help get rid of Team Rocket. But I never thought I'd bump into you guys again," AJ replied.

"Ah, so you all know each other?" Amber asked.

"Yeah. This is AJ, a really skilled Pokemon Trainer who racked up an impressive win streak of 99 wins in a row," Lincoln replied.

"99?! That is impressive!" the girl commented.

"Yep. Too bad it was broken by that Red guy. He and his Ivysaur were tough," AJ replied.

"We couldn't believe it when we heard about it ourselves, but it's true," Brock added.

"So, back to the original topic, what did you mean by 'three guesses?'" Lincoln asked.

"Well, this place is for abandoned and orphaned Pokemon, right? Cubone happens to be one of those orphaned Pokemon," AJ explained.

"And it's all because of Team Rocket," the girl said.

"Team Rocket orphaned Cubone?" Lincoln asked.

"That's right. One day, Cubone, along with several other Pokemon, were being chased by Team Rocket. They were planning on selling Cubone on the black market, but its mother, Marowak, intervened. Cubone was able to escape, but at the cost of Marowak's life," the girl replied. Lincoln's group felt their blood run cold.

"You mean…?" Misty asked, only for the girl to nod.

"Soon after, Mrs. Fuji took in Cubone to be taken care of. But the event had caused Cubone to become extremely distrustful towards humans, and hasn't opened up to anyone else besides Mrs. Fuji since," the girl explained.

"So, Team Rocket is even willing to murder innocent Pokemon to make a profit… makes my stomach turn," Lincoln commented, sounding devoid of emotion.

"Which will make it all the more satisfying when they're finally taken down for good," AJ replied.

"Right," Lincoln replied, turning back to the girl, "So, which of these people is Mrss. Fuji?" the girl once again had a somber look on her face. Just then, a commotion was heard from outside.

"EVERYONE! I FOUND OUT WHERE MRS. FUJI IS AT!" a man said hysterically.

"Well, where is she?!" a woman asked.

"The Pokemon Tower!" the man replied, causing everyone to gasp.

"Are you sure about that?" another man asked.

"Yes. Some people saw Mrs. Fuji go into the Pokemon Tower just yesterday," the first man replied.

"So, Mrs. Fuji is at Pokemon Tower? But why would she go there? Unless…!" Lincoln pieced it together, and turned to his friends, "You guys don't think she went in there to take on Team Rocket alone, do you?"

"It's quite possible," Amber replied

"So now we have a rescue mission on our hands as well," AJ added.

"Tell me, when did Team Rocket come here?" Lincoln asked the volunteers.

"It was about a week ago, and completely out of the blue," a woman replied, as she recounted the incident.

"They came in, I think three, maybe four trucks. Five at most. When they arrived, they immediately took control of the Tower and made the top floor their base. And to make matters worse, they've blocked anyone from entering, even to pay their respects. Those who try to enter get chased away," the girl added.

"That's horrible!" Misty exclaimed.

"How can anyone be that cruel?" AJ questioned.

"But it's not just Team Rocket that's the issue. There's also a ghost in that Tower!" a woman exclaimed.

"You mean the rumors we heard about the for real ghost are true?" Brock asked.

"Yes. I saw it with my very own eyes. The other night, I snuck into the tower when Team Rocket wasn't looking, in the hopes to pay my respects, when the Ghost appeared and chased me out, yelling 'Get out! Leave this place!' It was beyond scary!" the woman explained.

"I would ask if it could've been a Ghost Type Pokemon playing a prank, but this seems a bit much," Lincoln commented.

"It didn't seem like any Gastly or Haunter I've ever seen," the woman replied.

"But we need to fix this problem somehow! If people can't come to pay their respects, then Lavender Town is finished!" the man from before commented.

"Don't worry, sir. The Maiden's Peak Gym Leader and Gym Trainers have come aid Lavender Town in its hour of need. Not to mention we have independent trainers like Lincoln and his friends to help out," Amber reassured.

"That's kind of you and the others to do young lady. We're all extremely grateful," the first woman said.

"But I'm not too sure about these independent trainers you're talking about. Are they really strong enough to take on Team Rocket?" another woman asked.

"Not to brag or anything, but I'm rather confident in my battling abilities," Lincoln commented, showing off his badges.

"As am I," AJ added, showing his badges, which included the Cascade Badge, the Rainbow Badge, the Thunder Badge, and a Badge that looked like the head of a praying mantis.

"Whoa, you both have so many badges!" the girl exclaimed in awe.

"That's right. And Yurei isn't the only Gym Leader here. Brock and Misty here are also Gym Leaders as well, and tough ones at that," Lincoln replied, as he and AJ put away their badge cases.

"And if there are other independent trainers joining the raid, our chances of winning against Team Rocket are a lot greater," Brock added.

"Well, it looks like our hands are tied," the first man commented.

"Indeed. We'll leave freeing the Pokemon Tower to all of you," the first woman added.

"Great! We'll meet up with the others and tell them everything," Lincoln replied, as the five trainers exited the Pokemon House, and made their way back to the Pokemon Center.

Meanwhile, back at the Loud House,

After bidding farewell to Leni and the others, the Louds, Sam, and the Royals warped back to Royal Woods, entering into the Dining Room, "Well, that was a lot fun we had," Sam commented.

"I hope we can go back soon," Lana commented.

"Most likely we will, Lana. After all, once Lincoln wins three more badges, he'll be in the Pokemon League," Lisa replied.

"And that's something I doubt any of us would want to miss for the world," Rita replied. Just then, Lucius sensed something.

"Hmm? What's going on in the living room?" he wondered, as they all peered in, and were shocked to see Lori and both Lynns had just summoned Infelicis.

"Three clients? That doesn't normally happen," the Demon of the Curse commented, as he picked up the pictures, "So, you three must have some beef with someone if you've summoned me, right?"

"That's right! Our selfish brother has been causing nothing but trouble for us for years, but what he did the other night took the cake!" Lynn replied.

"That's right. We had told him to forgive us, but he only did so out of pity! We deserve REAL forgiveness! Not to mention he cost me my relationship with my boyfriend!" Lori added.

"And me with my sports career!" Lynn added.

"N-Not to mention he betrayed all of our trust by telling a lie," Lynn Sr. nervously added, trembling at the sight of another demon.

"Hmm, well, all but for that last one does seem like grounds to have the curse placed on him. But I'm not too sure that King Lucius and the others would appreciate me cursing the fiancé of their daughters," Infelicis replied.

"Who cares what they think!? We want him to suffer the same way he made US suffer! And the same goes for our sister, Lucy too, for even casting this curse in the first place!" Lynn added. From the dining room, Lucy shrunk back. Rita, on the other hand, couldn't believe what was going on.

"I can't believe those three!" she growled, as she was ready to go teach them a lesson, only to be stopped by Lilianna.

"Give it a moment, Rita. I think we might be able to see something truly interesting," she advised. Rita reluctantly complied.

"So make with the curse already!" Lori demanded. Infelicis didn't seem to take kindly to the tone Lori was taking with him.

"I shall try, but keep in mind, it's unwise to anger a demon," he warned, as he used his tablet device to scan each picture, and brought up each of their profiles. He then adopted a look of mock surprise, "Well, this is quite peculiar."

"What is it?" Lynn asked impatiently.

"According to this, Lincoln Loud is NOT on any of your lists of those who wronged you," Infelicis replied.

"WHAT?!" both sisters exclaimed, as Infelicis showed them his tablet.

"Not only that, but you three don't have anyone on any of your lists," he added in a mocking tone.

"B-But this can't be right! How could Stinkcoln NOT be on our lists?!" Lynn yelled.

"Quite a few reasons, actually. One; the curse can only afflict those who actually HAVE wronged you in the past and haven't made up for it. Two; the three of you still have remnants of the initial Karmic Misfortune Curse, which means you're unable to cast it yourselves for quite a while. Three, and most importantly; Lincoln's profile was made public to King Lucius, Queen Lilianna, Prince Stolas and the others, and they wouldn't take too kindly to the future groom of their daughters to be cursed," Infelicis effortlessly explained. All three Loud's jaws dropped in disbelief.

"But Lincoln DID wrong us! He wrecked my relationship with Bobby, he once nearly made me miss prom just to go to his classmate's birthday party, and insulted his girlfriend, Ronnie Anne!" Lori retorted.

"Not to mention he cost me my future as an athlete. And let's not forget to mention how much trouble his lie caused us since it all started, and the fact that he nearly got OUR Sister Fight Protocol banned from the house the first time we used it!" Lynn added.

"Well, apparently all of that was either not nearly enough to get him on the list of those who can be afflicted or he made up for those instances, thus also barring him from the curse's wrath," Infelicis replied.

"Oh, this is so unfair! Is this curse just completely useless!?" Lynn screamed.

"I think you have more pressing matters to worry about than the functionality of the curse," Infelicis replied, looking at the returning group, who the three Louds were oblivious to.

"Like what in particular?" Lynn Sr. asked.

"Hello, Lynn," Rita's icy voice sent chills down all three of their spines. They turned back to see Rita, glaring angrier than ever at them, "Care to explain this?" she asked, as Infelicis returned through the spell circle.

"We're just trying to give Lincoln HIS share of the crap we've been going through since he left for Kanto," Lori defended.

"Speaking of which, where is he? And Leni for that matter?" Lynn Sr. asked.

"They're still in Kanto, by MY permission!" Rita snapped, causing Lynn Sr. to flinch.

"Rita, I thought we discussed this? Lincoln can't continue this whole Trainer thing on account of the fact that he lied about being bad luck."

"Correction, Lynn: YOU talked about bringing Lincoln back, and YOU are the only one who agreed to it. And besides, from the first night in Kanto, it was clear that Lincoln doesn't respect you as a father anymore," Rita stated harshly.

"Lincoln doesn't get a say in who he respects and who he doesn't! He has to respect all of us and everyone else around him, and everyone can treat him as much of a doormat as they want!" Lynn yelled, only to get an evil eye from Rita, instantly shutting her up.

"Dudes, do you really hate Lincoln that much that you're willing to curse him?" Luna asked.

"YES!" both sisters said in unison. Rita, close to blowing a fuse, whipped out her notebook and began writing.

"W-What are you writing, honey?" Lynn Sr. cautiously asked.

"First of all, don't call me 'honey'! Secondly, until you three are finally ready to admit you're in the wrong just as much as the rest of us are, then you can just get out of this house!" Rita proclaimed.

"Yeah? You and what army?" Lynn asked.

"All I need to kick you three out is right here!" Rita replied, showing them the page she was writing on.

"Lynn Loud Sr., Lori Loud, and Lynn Loud Jr. are to be kicked out of the same house Rita Loud is living in, and cannot return until they're ready to admit their wrong doing. And they can't press legal charges against the rest of their family."

Upon showing them the page, the front door flew open, and all three of them felt themselves getting sucked out of the house, "Wait, Rita, you can't do this to us!" Lynn Sr. pleaded, hanging onto a the couch.

"I'm sorry Lynn, but it's clear you and the girls need to taught a harsh lesson about the consequences of your actions and/or lack thereof," Rita replied, as all three of them were flung out of the house.

"No way am I getting kicked out of the house!" Lynn yelled, as she charged for the front door, only to hit what appeared to be an invisible barrier, "What the…?! What is this!?"

"Your punishment," Rita said unsympathetically, as she stepped out onto the porch, "I've had more than my fill of your whole 'I hat Lincoln' garbage, and quite frankly, I'm not going to stand for it anymore. So, you three are not welcome in this house until you get over it and admit you're the ones in the wrong! And now if you'll excuse me, I need to go look up where to find the proper divorce paperwork," Rita said, as she went back into the house, slamming the door shut and locking it.

"Mom can't be serious! Doesn't she know that Lincoln has to be the one who's always in the wrong?" Lori questioned.

"Well, it doesn't look like she sees it that way for some reason. We'd better get going and look for a motel," Lynn Sr. suggested.

"Ah good riddance to them, I say!" Lynn commented, as the three of them left.

Back inside the Loud House, Rita had slumped down in the recliner, "Sorry you all had to see that," she said to the Royals.

"You needn't worry, Rita. Besides, if Luan's plan works well enough, those three will get their just desserts before too long," Lucius replied.

"Speaking of which, Lisa, could I get your help with it?" Luan asked.

"Internet videos aren't really my forte, but I'll try to assist as much as I can," Lisa replied, as the two of them ascended the stairs. Just then, Lucius just got a call in on his cellphone.

"Lucius here," he greeted, "Ah, yes, I was anticipating a call back from you. Yes. Yes. Is that right? Splendid! Yes, we'll be over some time tomorrow to make the announcement. See you then," Lucius said, as he hung up, "Well, looks like the World Governments have approved the Interspecies Exchange Bill, and are ready to announce our existence to humanity."

"That's great, Dad. So, we won't have to use the disguise spell anymore?" Charlie asked.

"I would assume so, but you should still have it handy just in case," Lucius replied.

"This also works out well for you, Rita. If and when you and Lynn are taken in for a trial, we can act as a defense team at least for you and the daughters presently here, while also proving Lynn is guilty for being such a crappy father," Stolas added.

"That would mean so much to me. Thank you all," Rita replied.

"No, thank you for letting us meet with your son," Rasha replied.

"As much as we'd love to stay and chat, we need to get back to the Monster Realm. We have to get things ready for our press conference," Lilianna replied, as Lucius opened up a portal to the Monster Realm, allowing his colleagues to enter one at a time, "We'll be in touch," she said, as she and her husband entered the portal, allowing it to close up. Once the Royals were gone, the Louds and Sam all collapsed.

"Oof, as much as I'm happy to see Lincoln again, that was so exhausting!" Luna commented.

"The festival was fun, though," Lola replied.

"Still, I wonder how Lincoln's doing in Lavender Town?" Lucy wondered.

Back in Lavender Town, outside the Pokemon Center,

Lincoln and friends regrouped with Yurei and the rest of the Gym Trainers outside of the Pokemon Center, along with a small handful of independent trainers. Yurei then took charge, "Alright, listen up! Here's the situation! According to the townsfolk we were able to get information from, Team Rocket is holed up in the top floor of Pokemon Tower. Their numbers are around 25 grunts! Furthermore, according to Gym Trainer Amber, they've also taken a woman by the name of 'Mrs. Fuji' captive. So, we're now tasked with freeing the captive woman alongside flushing out Team Rocket! We also have reports that there's an actual ghost haunting one of the upper levels. I, along with some of my best Gym Trainers will handle the ghost, while the rest of you attempt to defeat Team Rocket!" she explained.

"YES, YUREI!" everyone there replied.

"Good, now then, onward to the Tower!" Yurei said, as she led the large group towards the Pokemon Tower.

'Just you wait, Team Rocket. Soon, your reign of terror will end, and no more innocent Pokemon will ever suffer at your hands again,' Lincoln thought to himself.

Meanwhile, at the Pokemon Tower,

Just inside the Pokemon Tower Lobby, an irate Pokemon was lurking. The Pokemon in question was a Gengar, who was looking out the window, as if waiting for someone, "Where could he be? He said he'd be back for me soon, and it's been maybe a year since I saw him last," the Gengar grumbled, despite its menacing grin. Just then, it noticed the large group of trainers coming towards the Tower, "Hmm? What could they be up to?" it wondered, as it slipped back into the shadows, just as the trainers all entered the lobby.

"Alright, Team Rocket has taken the upper floors of the Tower as their territory! If you see any grunts, don't hesitate to gang up on them! Remember, they're not proper trainers, so the official Pokemon League rules don't apply to them!" Yurei said to the large group of trainers.

"YES, YUREI!" the Trainers all replied, as they began to ascend the stairs. Lincoln, who was just as determined to stop Team Rocket's evil schemes, felt something was off.

"It's weird. You'd think the Ghost Type Pokemon would've done something to stop Team Rocket," he commented.

"More than likely they're all in hidin'. After all, with how powerful an organization Team Rocket is, hardly anyone wants to get mixed up with them," AJ replied, as they navigated through the tower's second floor. As they neared the stairs to the third floor, they saw what appeared to be a woman approaching them.

"Whoa, are you…?!" Chad exclaimed.

"You can relax. I'm not a ghost. It would appear that the ghost itself appears further up the tower. I just came because I wanted to see my Nidoran," the woman replied, as she walked up to the group.

"It's dangerous to be here with Team Rocket lurking about. You should head home soon," Yurei advised.

"I will. And I'll get in contact with the Police Department to have them ready to capture Team Rocket when you do drive them out," the woman replied, as she proceeded to walk past them.

"Hey Yurei, did those reports of the Ghost sighting ever say which floor it appears on?" Lincoln asked.

"Not exactly, but it would appear that sightings are more common on the fourth or fifth floors," Yurei replied, as they continued upward to the third floor. As they began to navigate the third floor, they began to feel a chill.

"Brr, did a draft just blow through?" Misty shivered.

"I don't think so," Lincoln replied, as he noticed something moving in the shadows, "I thought I saw something just now, over there!" he exclaimed, pointing to some tombstones.

"Whoever's there, come out and show yourself!" Yurei ordered. From out of the shadows, emerged the very same Gengar that was watching them approach the tower.

"Which among you is my trainer?" Gengar demanded.

"Wait, your trainer?" Lincoln asked.

"That's right! My trainer left me here and told me he would be back soon, but it's been about a year since I saw him last!" Gengar replied irritably.

"Well, what was your trainer's name and what did he look like?" Lincoln asked.

"My trainer goes by the name of 'Clive', and as for how he looked like, he had blonde hair done in a bowl cut," Gengar replied.

"Yurei, do you know any trainers by the name of 'Clive'?" Lincoln asked.

"Not immediately. Why do you ask?" Yurei asked.

"Apparently, Clive is Gengar's old trainer who told it to wait here for it, but hasn't come back in about a year," Lincoln replied.

"It could be possible that Gengar was abandoned by this 'Clive' fellow," AJ commented.

"Lincoln, you should scan Gengar. If information about it's moves and level show up, then we'll be able to determine if Gengar was really abandoned," Brock suggested.

"Good idea," Lincoln replied, as he pulled out his Pokedex, and cautiously approached Gengar, "Gengar, my friends and I have a theory about what happened with you and Clive, but I need to check something to confirm that suspicion. Would you mind if I scanned you with my Pokedex?"

"Don't see how that would matter, but if it'll help, then go for it," Gengar replied. Lincoln then began scanning Gengar.

"This Male Gengar is level 46, and knows the moves Shadow Ball, Night Shade, Shadow Punch, Ice Punch, Hypnosis, Will-o-Wisp, Dark Pulse, Sludge Bomb and the Egg Move Haze," Dexter explained. Lincoln frowned upon hearing this.

"So, what did that tell you?" Gengar asked.

"One more question; What kind of a person was Clive?" Lincoln asked.

"Well, for starters he was a good person. A little boastful, but an all-around good guy. Though now that I think about it, he did get pretty angry whenever we failed to catch a Pokemon since I joined up with him," Gengar recalled.

"Well, that, along with the fact that Dexter told me about the moves you can use confirms our suspicion," Lincoln replied.

"Which is?"

"Gengar, this 'Clive' guy most likely abandoned you," Lincoln replied.

"What?! No, that can't be it! H-He's probably just… a little sidetracked with something is all! Yeah, that's it!" Gengar said in denial.

"Sorry to tell you this, pal, but the fact that my trainer's Pokedex told him what moves you can use only confirms it," Pikachu replied. Gengar could only slump down on a nearby tombstone in disbelief.

"You guys go on ahead. I'll stay here to console Gengar," Lincoln said.

"Are you sure?" Misty asked.

"Yeah. Once we help it out, we'll be on our way up," Lincoln replied, only to hear someone screaming from the stairs leading upward, "Is someone already up above us?"

"Now that you mention it, I do seem to recall another trainer coming in a little bit before any of you," Gengar replied, trying to shake off the shock from learning the hard truth.

Up on the stairs leading to the fourth floor,

While Yurei was leading the others on their mission to oust Team Rocket, a certain trainer was already one floor above them, "Heh, what a load of bull! I bet that Ghost rumor was just to scare people off!" Gary commented, as he fearlessly navigated through the tower's graves, and ascended to the fourth floor, "Still no sign of Team Rocket or the supposed 'ghost'. Team Rocket must be up on the topmost floor. I should have this whole mess dealt with in no time!" he boasted, as he was nearing the stairs to the next floor up, when…

"…. T out,"

"Hmm? What was that?" Gary wondered, as he shone his flashlight further up, as an ominous mist began to materialize.

"Get out! LEAVE THIS PLACE!" the mist then charged at Gary, seemingly consciously. Upon seeing the ethereal apparition, Gary dropped his flashlight, and ran for the staircase, screaming in terror.

Meanwhile, up on the topmost floor,

Several Team Rocket grunts were lounging around, polishing their Pokeballs, or going over plans for their next big operation, "Ok, so we can make some big time profits if we poach some of the rare Pokemon in the Pokemon Preserves around Fushia City, but we're going to need tons more Pokeballs to do so," one of the grunts said, looking over some papers with some of the other grunts.

"You can't do this! Pokemon are our friends and family! They're not to be bought or sold!" a woman bound to a pillar nearby with ropes exclaimed. She was a middle-aged woman with long, brown hair, wearing a cream colored blouse with a lavender overcoat and a black skirt.

"Shut up! Prisoners like you don't get to talk!" the lead grunt yelled.

"Can you believe this broad? Thinking Pokemon have any other real value besides being used for profit. What a laugh!" another grunt cackled.

"By the way, did you hear the rumors?"

"What rumors?"

"About the ghost."

"Cut it out, man! We don't need to hear this!"

"He's right, you know. This Tower is creepy enough without us telling any ghost stories," the lead grunt agreed.

"Well, it's alright. After all, we have this," the grunt said, pulling out what appeared to be a fancy scope, "This Silph Scope makes unidentifiable Ghost Type Pokemon easy to identify." Just then, they all heard screaming coming from the lower levels.

"What was that?"

"Probably just some of those pesky townsfolk trying to sneak in. Don't they get this is OUR turf?" the lead grunt questioned, as he turned to some of the other grunts, "Go and chase them out!"

"YES SIR!" and with that, five grunts began heading downstairs.

Back on the third floor,

"What's all that screaming?" Lincoln wondered, as Gary was seen running right towards them, slamming into Lincoln, which had him smash into Amber, sending the taller girl down with him.

"Ow, was that Gary?" Lincoln wondered, as he suddenly felt something in his hands, followed by a woman moaning. Looking down, he saw that he was accidentally groping Amber's massive bust, "Oh God, I am SO sorry!" he exclaimed, as he backed off.

"I-It's fine," Amber replied, her heart racing from the shock of being groped by her destined lover.

"Alright Gary, what's this about? Why are you even here?" Misty interrogated.

"Ok, so I overheard that Team Rocket had taken over the Pokemon Tower, so I thought I would come and try to flush 'em out before you guys came, when…" Gary cut himself off when he heard something coming towards them.

"GET OUT! LEAVE THIS PLACE!" the Ghost exclaimed, as it had caught up to Gary.

"Gah! It's the Ghost!" Gary exclaimed in fear.

"So that's it?" Yurei questioned, sounding a bit unnerved.

"Gengar, is this Ghost a friend of yours?" Lincoln asked Gengar with hope.

"Afraid not. I've never seen any Ghost Type Pokemon like this before! It's definitely no Gastly or Haunter," Gengar replied, sounding equally afraid.

"M-maybe we should run away?" one trainer suggested.

"No! We have a job here, and that's to flush out Team Rocket! Those of you who are willing to stay and help me battle, do so! Everyone else, head on up the stairs!" Yurei commanded.

"Uh, right!" Chad replied, as he led several of the other trainers around the Ghost.

"Brock, Misty, Gary, AJ, you guys go along with them," Lincoln instructed.

"Are you sure, Lincoln? We can stay and battle," Misty replied.

"That's right. We're all in this together," Brock added.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but Team Rocket is our main priority. Go and help the others get a start on clearing them out," Lincoln replied, as he released his entire party of Pokemon, consisting of Pikachu, Bruce, Percival, Dragonair, Inferna, and Heracross. However, upon seeing the Ghost in question, all five of Lincoln's other Pokemon screamed in terror.

"What the hell man?! Calling us out to battle THAT?!" Percival exclaimed.

"Sorry guys, but we need to deal with this thing before it causes any due harm to the Tower!" Lincoln replied.

"You can tell your Pokemon not to worry. My Pokemon will be right by their side," Yurei said, as she sent out her Ghost Pokemon as well.

"As are mine," Amber also sent out her Pokemon as well. Despite being Ghost Type Pokemon, both Yurei and Amber's Pokemon were terrified to see such an angry spirit before them.

"Gengar, think you can…" Lincoln then noticed that Gengar was gone, "Must've slipped back into the shadows."

With Brock, Misty and the others,

While Lincoln and the others stayed behind to face down the Ghost, Brock Misty, and all the other trainers managed to make it to the next floor up, "This is where I saw the Ghost the first time," Gary pointed out.

"Well, at least we can make our way to face Team Rocket without any issues," Misty commented, only to be blinded by a flashlight.

"Hey you! Haven't you heard? The Pokemon Tower is under the control of Team Rocket! No outsiders allowed without OUR permission!" a Team Rocket Grunt exclaimed, as he and his fellow grunts went to confront the trainers.

"A human opponent? Well, that's something we can deal with easily! Go, Blastoise!" Gary exclaimed, sending out a large, turtle Pokemon with cannons on its back.

"Gary may be an insufferable bragger, but he does have the right idea. Go, Poliwhirl!" Misty exclaimed, sending out her Poliwhirl. The others sent out their Pokemon as well, and began battling the Grunts.

Meanwhile, back at the Pokemon House,

Cubone was repeatedly ramming itself into the gate of its pen, desperate to get out, "Hey, hold on there! What's all this noise about?" the girl Lincoln and the others met before asked, as she opened the pen, allowing Cubone to run out of its pen, and out of the Pokemon House, "Hey, hold on!" the girl exclaimed, as she gave chase after Cubone. What she couldn't figure out was why Cubone was heading towards the Pokemon Tower.

Back with Lincoln, Yurei, and Amber,

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt, and Heracross, use Rock Blast!" Lincoln called out. Pikachu fired off Thunderbolt, while Heracross fired rock projectiles from its horn at the Ghost, only for the attacks to pass right through it.

"Mismagius, use Shadow Ball!" Yurei called out. Mismagius fired off Shadow Ball, which, just like the previous attacks, did nothing to the Ghost.

"It's like none of our attacks are doing anything!" Dragonair commented.

"Makes sense. How do you battle something that's already dead?" Percival asked.

"We got to keep trying! There has to be someway to stop this thing!" Lincoln commented.

"Lincoln, heads up!" Lincoln looked up to see some kind of scope-like goggles being tossed at him. Looking to where it was tossed from, he saw Brock, Misty, AJ, and Gary standing on the stairs, "Use that Scope, Lincoln! It'll identify any Ghost!" AJ exclaimed.

"Well, if you say so," Lincoln replied, as he slipped it onto his head, positioning the lenses over his eyes. He looked all around, before settling on the Ghost, which began to take the shape of "A Marowak? Could that be…?"

"Get out! Leave this place! It's dangerous to get close to them!" the ghost of Marowak warned. And judging by the voice, it was clear to Lincoln that Marowak is female, thus confirming his suspicion. Just then, the Cubone from the Pokemon House came running up, "My baby!" Marowak exclaimed, as she floated over to Cubone, embracing the younger Pokemon. Lincoln saw that the aura around Marowak had calmed significantly.

"I see. It makes sense now. The Ghost was never a malevolent being. Marowak was just worried for its baby," the girl said, as she just joined them.

"That's right. There's no need for us to keep battling. Alright guys, return!" Lincoln said, as he recalled his Pokemon, save for Pikachu. Yurei and Amber did the same. Just then, the Spirit of Marowak broke away from the loving embrace, and began to float upwards, eventually disappearing completely. Cubone cried out in great sorrow. Yurei then approached Cubone.

"Your mother's spirit has finally found peace, young one. She can rest in peace, knowing that you're still around," she said, as she gingerly picked up Cubone, cradling it.

"Marowak may have found peace, but there's still Team Rocket to deal with," Lincoln pointed out. Yurei then handed Cubone over to the girl.

"You should head back to the Pokemon House quickly. Things might get ugly from here on out," she advised.

"Alright. Just please bring Mrs. Fuji back," the girl said, as she carried Cubone back the way they came.

"Don't worry. We will. Now, onward!" Yurei said, as she and the others ascended the staircase.

Meanwhile, back up on the fourth floor,

Chad and the others wasted no time in tying up the Team Rocket grunts they had just defeated, and smashed their Pokeballs, releasing their Pokemon, "There! That takes care of that!" Chad commented.

"Don't get a swelled head just because you beat us! We've still got reinforcements up on the top floor! And by now, they'll probably be on their way down to kick you out of OUR tower!" one of the grunts boasted.

"The Pokemon Tower isn't your property!" Yurei said, as she and the others climbed up to the fourth floor, "This is a sacred place, where Pokemon are laid to rest. You're the ones who need to get out!" she declared, only for the grunts to laugh at her.

"Can you believe this broad?"

"I know, right? Thinking Pokemon deserve a gravesite!"

"Don't you know that Pokemon are only tools to make Team Rocket the most powerful organization in the world?"

"Pokemon are a lot of things, and 'tools' are certainly NOT one of them! They're all living creatures, just like people are! They have their own thoughts and their own emotions. But people like you are an insult to real trainers everywhere!" Lincoln ranted.

"Well said," Yurei replied, turning to some of the other trainers, "Can you take this lot back down to the lobby? We won't be long up here," she requested.

"At once, Yurei," the trainer said, as he had his Pokemon, which appeared to be a mass of blue vines with red shoes, pick up the grunts, and carry them downstairs.

"We shouldn't waste any more time. The rest of the grunts should be upstairs," AJ proclaimed.

"Yes. And Mrs. Fuji too," Yurei replied, as they all ventured closer to the stairs, only for an entire squad of Team Rocket Grunts to swarm from upstairs.

"You all made a big mistake coming here! Now, hand over ALL of your Pokemon, and get out of here!" one of the grunts demanded.

"You won't even get them over our dead bodies!" Yurei declared, as she and the others readied their Pokeballs.

"That can be arranged," the head grunt said, nodding to the rest of the squad, who released all of their Pokemon. Their numbers were about 50 or so.

"Alright everyone! This is for Lavender Town, and all of Kanto! Hold nothing back!" Yurei declared, as all of the trainers by her side released all of their Pokemon as well, which put their numbers at about 143. And with that, the battle commenced.

"Alright, Bruce, use Air Cutter!" Lincoln called out. Burce then fired off Air Cutter, attacking several of the Team Rocket Pokemon.

"That's quite enough! Houndoom, use Fire Fang on that Golbat!" one of the Grunts yelled.

"Percival, use Fury Swipes! Cover for Bruce!" Lincoln called out. Percival skillfully bounced off of several Team Rocket Pokemon, slashing at them repeatedly.

"We can't let you take all the glory! Onix, use Head Smash! Vulpix, use Icy Wind! Bagon, Dragon Breath! Bronzor, Psywave!" Brock called out. Onix slammed headfirst into a large number of opposing Pokemon, which the rest of his Pokemon fired off their respective attacks.

"Poliwhirl, Squirtle, use Water Gun! Meditite, use Confusion! And Snorunt, use Frost Breath!" Misty called out. Each of her Pokemon launched their respective attacks as well.

"Keep this up, and we'll have them beaten before too long!" Yurei called out.

"Don't be so sure!" a woman's voice said from the stairwell. Looking towards it, everyone saw two grunts, a man and a woman, walking down. The woman was a blonde with her hair done up in pigtails on either side of her head. The man had teal hair in a bowl cut, "Prepare for trouble, now you face a new test!"

"Make it double, you're now up against the best!"

"To infect the world with devastation!"

"To blite all people within the nation!"

"To denounce to goodness of truth and love!"

"To extend our wrath to the stars above!"

"Cassidy!"

"And it's Butch!"

"We're Team Rocket, circling the globe all day and night!"

"Surrender to us now, or you'll surely loose the fight!"

"Oh great, not another pair of wannabe anime villains!" Lincoln groaned.

"Don't take them too lightly. These two seem more competent than Jessie and James," Brock warned.

"We heard that! Comparing us to those two failures is an insult of insults!" Cassidy proclaimed.

"And now, we're going to have to chase you out of here, and take ALL of your Pokemon as compensation! Go, Rhydon!" Butch called out, as he sent out a large, grey bipedal Pokemon with a drill like nose.

"Magmar, you're up too!" Cassidy said, as he sent out a human-sized lizard like Pokemon with flame patterns on its body.

"Who are those Pokemon?" Lincoln wondered, as he went to scan them.

"Rhydon, the Drill Pokemon, a Ground and Rock Type, and the evolved form of Rhyhorn. Rhydon's horn can crush even uncut diamonds. This Pokemon's hide is extremely tough. Not even a direct hit from a cannon can leave a scratch.

Magmar, the Spitfire Pokemon, a Fire Type. In battle, Magmar blows out extremely hot flames from all over its body to intimidate its opponent. This Pokemon's fiery bursts create heat waves that ignite grass and trees in its surroundings," Dexter explained.

"The two of them look tough. We should try focusing most of our best Pokemon on them," Lincoln suggested.

"Good call. Can I ask you and your friends to focus on Magmar and Rhydon?" Yurei asked.

"Of course. You guys ready?" Lincoln asked his friends.

"Whenever you are," Misty replied.

"I'm right behind you," Brock added.

"I was wondering when you'd ask," AJ added.

"Just try to keep up with me," Gary added.

"Magmar, use Smog!" Cassidy called out. Magmar then began belching out a thick blanket of smoke.

"Don't breathe that in!" Brock warned.

"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Gary called out. His Blastoise then fired off a powerful jet of water from its two cannons which patted down the Smog.

"Rhydon, use Focus Blast!" Butch called out. Rhydon fired off a ball of energy at Blastoise, sending it back a few feet.

"Bruce, use Supersonic! We need to try and hinder their attacks as much as possible!" Lincoln called out.

"On it!" Bruce called back, as he prepared to fire off Supersonic, when…

"Magmar, use Fire Spin!" Bruce then became surrounded by a vortex of fire.

"Percival, use Screech!" Lincoln called out. Percival then fired off Screech, causing Magmar and Cassidy to hold their ears in pain from the piercing sound.

"Poliwhirl, Squirtle, use Water Gun on that Fire Spin!" Misty called out. Both Pokemon then fired Water Gun at the vortex, extinguishing it.

"How are you feeling?" Poliwhirl asked.

"A bit singed, but otherwise ok," Bruce replied.

"Rhydon, use Rock Blast!" Butch ordered. Rhydon began firing off Rock Blast, firing at each of Lincoln's Pokemon, as well as his friend's Pokemon as well.

"Onix, block that Rock Blast!" Brock called out. Onix then shielded his comrades with his massive body.

"Tsk, that Onix is more trouble than its worth! Rhydon, use Hammer Arm!" Butch called out.

"Magmar, use Brick Break!" Cassidy ordered. Both Pokemon charged at Onix, hands or arms glowing.

"I don't think so! Dragonair, use Twister!" Lincoln called out. Dragonair then summoned Twister, which was able to stop both Pokemon from moving forward, "Nice! Alright, let's finish them off!"

"Already one step ahead of you!" Bruce called out.

"Ditto," Percival said, as both of them began glowing.

"No way!" AJ exclaimed.

"Both Bruce and Percival are evolving!" Lincoln exclaimed. Bruce's main body became a little smaller, and it spouted an extra set of smaller wings. Percival grew much larger, adopting a sleek body, and a massive, round face with a blue gem in the middle.

"Crobat and Persian Alola Form have been registered to your Pokedex," Dexter proclaimed.

"Crobat and Alolan Persian, huh?" Lincoln commented.

"Crobat, the Bat Pokemon, a Poison and Flying Type, and the evolved form of Golbat. This Pokemon flaps its four wings skillfully. It can navigate through cramped caves without needing to slow down.

Persian, Alola Form, the Classy Cat Pokemon, a Dark Type. This Pokemon is one tough opponent. Not only does it possess great physical abilities, but it's not above playing dirty," Dexter explained.

"Sweet! And it looks like the two of you learned a new move too!" Lincoln exclaimed.

"It doesn't matter if they evolve, we're still kicking you out of here! Magmar, use Fire Punch!" Cassidy ordered.

"Rhydon, use Thunderbolt!" Butch ordered. Magmar charged in with its fist ignited in flames, while Rhydon fired off Thunderbolt from its horn.

"Alright Bruce, dodge that Thunderbolt, and use Cross Poison! And Percival, use Power Gem!" Lincoln called out. Bruce, using his new set of wings, was able to skillfully dodge Thunderbolt, and, with his wings glowing purple, delivered a cross attack straight across Rhydon's chest. The attack didn't take it down, but it looked like Rhydon was poisoned as a result. Percival fired off a beam of energy at Magmar, sending it back into Cassidy, knocked out.

"Whoa, Cassidy, you alright?" Butch asked.

"What do you think, Biff?! I just got slammed into by my own Pokemon!" Cassidy whined.

"Don't worry. Rhydon should still have enough power to take these brats out. And also, MY NAME IS BUTCH!" Butch yelled.

"I wouldn't count on it, Bill! Dragonair, use Water Pulse!" Lincoln called out.

"Don't you listen?! My name is Butch!" Butch yelled. While Butch was cursing at Lincoln for Dragonair then fired off Water Pulse, which was able to finish off Rhydon. Just then, the rest of the trainers managed to defeat the last of Team Rocket's Pokemon.

"Now then, restrain them before they can get away!" Yurei called out. Without any further urging, several Bug Pokemon began spitting Sting Shot at all of the Team Rocket Grunts, including Butch and Cassidy, "And one more thing before go; Gengar, use Psychic on ALL of Team Rocket's Pokeballs, and crush them," she said to her Gengar. Gengar cackled, as it used Psychic and lifted every last one of Team Rocket's Pokeballs into the air and then crushed them, then dropped them to the floor. The Pokemon all saw this and looked at each other, before proceeding to leave down the stairs.

"Yurei, we'll see to it that these troublemakers are escorted down to the authorities," Chad volunteered.

"See that you do. There's still one last bit of unfinished business we need to deal with," Yurei said. With that, Chad and all the other trainers took the Team Rocket members back downstairs, leaving Lincoln, Misty, Brock, AJ, Yurei, and Amber left.

"Well, you guys, only one thing left to do," Lincoln said, as they proceeded to the stairs leading to the topmost floor. Once there, they saw several crates with the Team Rocket logo on it, as well as floodlights.

"They certainly made themselves at home," AJ commented.

"Look there!" Misty exclaimed, pointing to a nearby pillar, where Mrs. Fuji as tied up. She looked up, as looked relieved to see them.

"Oh thank goodness," she commented, as AJ released his Sandshrew.

"Sandshrew, cut those ropes!" AJ commanded. Sandshrew then sliced up the ropes binding Mrs. Fuji.

"Mrs. Fuji, I presume?" Lincoln asked.

"Indeed I am. And all of you are…?"

"I'm the Maiden's Peak Gym Leader, Yurei, and this is one of my Gym Trainers, Amber," Yurei said, introducing herself and Amber.

"I'm Lincoln Loud."

"Misty."

"Brock."

"And the name's 'AJ'."

"Thank you all for coming to rescue me. But what about Team Rocket?" Mrs. Fuji asked.

"You needn't worry, Mrs. Fuji. We just got done battling them and now they're being taken out of the tower," Yurei replied.

"Oh, thank goodness. You know, I came here with the hopes of getting them to leave on their own, but as you can see, they didn't listen to reason," Mrs. Fuji replied.

"Well, you and the people of Lavender Town can rest easy now," Brock replied.

"And on top of that, we managed to get to the bottom of the rumors of the ghost that was haunting the tower," Lincoln replied.

"Is that right?" Mrs. Fuji asked, getting some nods in response, "So, Marowak has finally found peace."

"You knew that Marowak?" AJ asked.

"Not personally, but I did know that Marowak was the only Pokemon that was… lost that terrible day, leaving her baby all alone," Mrs. Fuji replied.

"We can fill you in on the details back at the Pokemon House. I'm sure everyone there is eagerly waiting for your return," Yurei replied.

"Yes, quite right," Mrs. Fuji replied, as they began to leave. However, unbeknownst to them, they were being watched, or more accurately, Lincoln was being watched, from his own shadow.

'This human was ready to go to such lengths just to liberate this tower for the good of the town. Maybe I should tag along and keep a close eye on him,' Gengar thought to himself, as he continued to lurk inside Lincoln's shadow.

Back at the ground floor,

Several police cars were busily corralling the captured Team Rocket members into the back of their cars, "And that's the last of them!" one of the officers said.

"Excellent!" Officer Jenny commented, just as Lincoln and the others exited the Tower, "Ah, Gym Leader Yurei! You'll be happy to know that all of the Team Rocket Members that you and your group have battled are now in police custody!"

"Excellent work, Officer Jenny. I'll give a full report on the incident back at the station, then I'll need to report to Agatha," Yurei replied, only for a violent wind to start whipping, as several large magnets dropped down and attached themselves to the squad cars.

"What the…?! What's going on?!" Lincoln exclaimed, as he and the others looked up to see a large airship flying above them. On it's side was the Team Rocket insignia.

"A valiant effort of you trainers to liberate the Pokemon Tower from Team Rocket's control. But it had already served its purpose, so we have no use for it anymore. So, we of Team Rocket, will now take our captured members back!" a man's voice on an intercom said, as the police cars were lifted into the air.

"No! We can't let them get away!" Misty exclaimed.

"They won't get far! Bruce, Dragonair, stop that ship!" Lincoln said, as he sent out both of his Pokemon.

"Don't even try!" the voice said, as a pair of nets was fired from the ship, trapping both Pokemon inside, and sending them to the ground, "Normally we would take those Pokemon for ourselves, but we have bigger plans that need our attention, so we'll leave you all with this!" several small cube shaped devices were then dropped from the ship, exploding and creating a thick cloud of smoke. When the smoke cleared, the ship, and the police cars were gone.

"No! They were our only hope of stopping any future crimes by Team Rocket!" Officer Jenny yelled. Mrs. Fuji then approached her.

"Officer, I think I might know of a few of their plans. I overheard them talking about it while they held me captive."

"Is that right? Well, you've already been through enough, so we'll leave the questioning until tomorrow," Officer Jenny replied.

"Very well," Mrs. Fuji replied, as she then turned to the large group of trainers, "And to all of you, on behalf of the citizens of Lavender Town, I would just like to express my eternal gratitude for coming in our hour of need."

"Think nothing of it, any other upstanding trainers would've gladly done the same, especially if it means putting a stop to Team Rocket," Yurei replied.

"But that begs the question: What possible reason did Team Rocket have to taking control of the Pokemon Tower?" Lincoln wondered.

"Who knows? Not that it matters anymore. Team Rocket is gone from the Tower, and now Lavender Town can return to normal," Brock replied.

"True. I'll let the people know first thing tomorrow morning," Officer Jenny replied.

"But before you do, I should inform you that a bunch of Team Rocket's stuff is still up on the top floor of the tower," Mrs. Fuji informed.

"Great! That'll no doubt prove crucial evidence in our investigations," Officer Jenny replied.

"Well, now that that's settled, I'm going to get back to my girls and head on to the next town," Gary commented, as he went and left.

"I think I'll head out too. Since it's close by, I think I'll want to take a crack at the Maiden's Peak Gym," AJ commented.

"I'll gladly accept your challenge," Yurei replied, as she turned to her Gym Trainers, "Alright, now that the Pokemon Tower has been liberated, we can now head back to the Gym!"

"YES, YUREI!" the Gym Trainers all called out. Amber then approached Lincoln, a slip of paper in her hands.

"Lincoln, I'd like for you to take this before we part ways," she said, handing him the slip of paper.

"Uh, thanks Amber, what is…" Lincoln stopped himself upon opening it paper, and seeing that it was Amber's Phone Number with a message on it;

"Call me anytime. The red string of fate has bound us together so that we may one day be together."

"Another girl's phone number? Quite the player you are, Lincoln," Misty mused.

"Heh, thanks, but I know better than to take advantage of a girl's feelings," Lincoln replied.

"I know you do," Misty replied.

"I would love it if you would give me a chance to be one of your girlfriends," Amber said, blushing profusely.

"I'll keep that in mind, Amber. Thank you," Lincoln replied. With that, Amber went to catch up to Yurei and the others.

"We should get to the Pokemon Center. It is late, and we'll need our rest for tomorrow morning," Brock suggested.

"Good call," Lincoln replied, as the three of them made their way to the Pokemon Center.

Meanwhile, back at the Loud House,

"… And post!" Luan said, as she finished uploading the video that would expose the Loud Family for the chaotic mess they were.

"Well, now that that's taken care of, I'll need to start working on a defense for when we inevitably stand trial for our crimes," Lisa replied.

"But you don't think Mom will really go to jail, do you?" Luan asked.

"It's possible, but if we play our cards right, the most she'll get slapped with is a hefty fine and a stern warning," Lisa replied.

"That's good to hear, kind of. But what do you think will happen to Dad, Lori, and Lynn?" Lisa's expression turned more serious.

"I'm not too sure. But given how against Lori and Lynn are towards Lincoln, they'll probably get sent to juvie in the best-case scenario. Worst case scenario, they'll most likely be admitted to a mental hospital," Lisa replied.

"Yeesh! Well, I suppose that would be the best course of action to get them to get their heads out of their fannies and see the light. And what about Dad?" Luan asked.

"Well, given that the trial may also, potentially, double as a divorce hearing, our Paternal Unit will no doubt be given a restraining order preventing him from coming anywhere near any of us or the house itself. But if he and the other two run their mouths about their self-righteous behavior towards Lincoln, he'll no doubt lose his parental rights," Lisa replied.

"Wait, that can happen?" Luna asked, as she entered the room.

"Yes. If a court of law sees fit, they can easily revoke a parent's parental rights, either temporarily or indefinitely," Lisa replied.

"Man, that would way harsh!" Luna commented.

"Would it be, though? I mean, think about how Dad was acting when we were in Kanto the first day. He was willing to dismiss anything Lincoln says as a lie, and all because of just one fib. Not to mention he literally said that Lincoln could never amount to anything, he just watched as Lori and Lynn wished for Lincoln to be lost in the St. Anne sinking, and ignored the fact that Lori and Lynn were trying to maul Lincoln to death, instead focusing on the fact that they were demanding him to forgive them just because they told him to," Luan pointed out.

"She has a point, you know. And not to mention that he also ignored how Lucy was being heckled for liking Princess Pony, focusing more on the fact that she hid it in the toilet and the problems it caused to the plumbing," Lisa added.

"Ok, you both have made very valid points. Maybe we should use those facts when we do stand trial?" Luna asked.

"Hmm, it would probably be for the best. After all, it's clear he has no intention of changing his ways, so he's going to need a major reality check, just like those two need as well," Lisa replied. Just then, Luan got a blip on her laptop. Looking at the notification, she saw an article that really surprised the three of them.

"Well, that didn't take too long. I just wonder how the rest of humanity will react to this," Lisa mused.

"Well, we can worry about that mañana. I'm beat!" Luna commented, as she went to crawl into bed.

"Yeah, I think I could go for a little bit of sleep as well," Luan added.

"Indeed. I'll return to my quarters as well," Lisa said, as she left for her bedroom, 'Needless of me to say that things are going to get very interesting from here on out.'
