Dino Thunder: Chemical Beast!
Chapter 7: Stevie.~
It had been three days since they escaped Solar and his soldiers. Since then, Mesogog figured out that an entire day had passed after they returned and Elsa had been gone for a long time. Three days and Elsa hasn't been seen as of late. What could she be doing that it's taking her this long, to return? The dino man's shoes thudded as he walked into the main lab, his claws clasped behind him as he did so.
There stood Zeltrax, who he saw turn to him with a quick bow to greet him. "Lord Mesogog. I was just starting to-" His words were cut short by a growl from the prehistoric man.
"Where is Elsa?" Although he had little to no care for the goth, she was still a valuable pawn, and he needed her right now.
"I haven't spoken to her since she left to do a project. Dr. Ray has been filling in for her, strangely enough, but she refuses to assist with anything regarding the Power Rangers," Explained the Cyborg who kept his head low in submission, most likely to show respect and to dim any amount of anger in the beast.
Dr. Ray has been filling in for her? What exactly, has she been doing? Nonetheless... Elsa needs to be found. As he strode along and examined the lab tables, he couldn't help but notice the Franken Baby's now empty container. "When was the last contact you had with her, Zeltrax?" As he curiously stared at the empty container, a claw tapped at the lid.
"Elsa was nearing the carbon infusion, my lord. She should be there any moment," As Mesogog listened with his back to him, he traced his claw gently along the side of the container.
"We have kept our prize well hidden from Dr. Oliver, for nearly a year. The waiting is over," He walked along the chemistry station after he had enough of the container and examined a set of tubes at the other end. "The opportunity to equalize our forces, to go toe-to-toe with the mighty Dino Rangers- is at hand," There, like a cat to a mouse, he spotted a Wolf Spider on top of a jar and zeroed in on its small form. "Nothing... Must interfere," Slowly toward it, he leaned closer and opened his mouth.
"And we will do everything in our power, to ensure that it does not," Mesogog was so focused on his prey that he paid little attention to Zeltrax's actions, save for his reply.
Within seconds, a lengthy tongue stretched out, snatched the spider, and ate it. Chewing the arachnid as if it were a simple snack, the crunching, and squishing of guts didn't phase him. "Of course you will," There was almost a pleasurable growl after he downed the spider, however, a small bit of red curls slowly peeked past the jar and stared questioningly at a pair of fascinated blue eyes.
"Whoa... Cool.~ You're like... A lizard.~" There she was, Dr. Amelia who yet again, made herself known at the strangest times. Not once did he straighten up, only his gaze followed her movement when she stood and beamed. "Anyway- thanks. I was trying to catch that speedy little sucker! You did me a favor!~" Giggles erupted from her after she lifted a flyswatter and twirled it around her finger, by the loop of the handle. As soon as she stopped it, she continued. "So? What did it taste like?~ Crunchy? Juicy? Both?" He was stunned at her question, for he looked her up and down confused at her odd beam of excitement.
"Both. It has good protein," He'd be smirking right now if he had a human mouth. Mesogog's head leaned closer to her, as he tried to figure out the reason why she was asking such a thing.
"If that's the case... I know just the right snack for you!" The moment she placed a hand between the red marking above his eyes, it was almost instinctive to lean into her touch, but was quick to snap himself out of it. "Stay right there! Don't move!" He watched her swift whirl, as her soft curls bounced from every hasty step she took.
His head shook and his eyes blinked to shove away whatever it was he felt during that moment. I don't understand... How does she manage to make me do that? That makes the second time. Growling, glaring in the direction she ran, his claws clasped behind him patiently.
"Dare I question, why she ate insects before?" For once Zeltrax was a little disturbed. Mesogog didn't get to see the cybernetic shiver that went down his spine, for he was too focused on her previous words some days ago.
Tortured and abused... By Solar? He completely ignored his pawn's statement. Pacing back and forth to ponder their past conversations regarding her device, Amelia had confirmed his conclusion when she stated how he'd use her information to his advantage. She knew about our world before coming here. She knew of my plans despite me not telling her beforehand. What she said, explains why she refuses to get involved with my endeavors, against the Dino Rangers. I want to know more... I cannot rearrange her DNA or torture her with my power, but I could put her into the Energy Transfer Chamber and force her to serve me. As tempting as it sounded, Mesogog contemplated more and his growl proved his desire to hear her scream in agony. The idea nearly sent a pleasurable chill down his spine, however, his thoughts were soon interrupted by a bang on the station next to him.
The moment he looked over, there on the end of the surface sat a large jar of live insects that wiggled about inside, and her tan hands on either side of it. "Here!" The second he saw her twist the lid open, her hand reached in, grabbed a cricket, and giggled when it tickled her fingers. Her digits made sure to hold onto its backside to keep it from leaping away. "Nooooow!~ Do you want it?!" Very slowly she waved it back and forth as her free hand resealed the jar.
He couldn't help but give her an intense stare that an annoyed cat would give, but the more she crept the bug closer to his face the harder it was to ignore. "Come ooooon, it's scrumptious!~" For a moment he glanced back at her gleeful eyes and a glint of mischief appeared in his.
Without much of a warning, his mouth let loose his lengthy tongue a bit too fast, and watched her jump at the sudden scare. The crunch from the cricket and a sound of disgust from Zeltrax went ignored, not once did his amused gaze on her falter.
"My turn!" Into the jar, her hand reached in and grabbed one for herself before the lid was returned. "Hey- want to do a bet?" Amelia was about to eat the insect when an idea dawned on her, for her eyes moved to his curiously leaned form and waited.
"What do you have in mind?" A close examination to try and see through her expression, caused him to straighten up and stare at her with interest.
"Oooooh, I don't knoooow... Maybe- See who can eat the most Crickets?! The loser gets to clean the floors! Originally, these were supposed to be a snack for my little Franken Baby but I think you could use a bit of loosening up!" Her hands picked the jar up and wiggled it in the air.
"I do not have time to play your little games... Dr. Ray," As much as he wanted to accept her challenge and wipe the floor with her in an eating contest, which he had no doubt he'd win, his goals were a higher priority.
"Aw, really? Stop being such a sour puss and accept! Who knows when Elsa will be back? So, chill for a while.~" Her giggles almost sounded mischievous, for he glared daggers at her and glanced at the jar in her hands.
He thought long and hard about her words and how much he hated she was right about it. Agonizingly slow steps allowed him to be mere inches from her face, just to growl at how stubborn she was. "Fine. I accept your challenge... And I expect the floors to be spotless after I win," Despite his attempt to discourage her, annoyance bubbled in his chest when he saw her grin and nod.
"You're so on! I ate about one hundred of these before, I'd like to know how much you can handle.~" As fast as her feet could run, her boots thudded across the floor to an empty table and plopped it down.
Yes, she certainly was his only source of entertainment right now. Slow strides up behind her, allowed him a view over her shoulder when she cranked open the lid and gave him her confident stare. She is going to be disappointed when I win... I look forward to it. His jaw slacked a little to show the form of a smirk and delight at the idea of seeing her lose.
With an evil glint in his eyes, he watched her reach in, grab a cricket, toss it above her head, and lean back to catch it in her mouth. "Woo! You're turn, tough guy!" Her raised arms and large smile, the amount of confidence that came from her only made him want to crush it.
He ignored her chews as he reached in and did the same as her. With skill, it was tossed in the air until his tongue lashed out to reel it into his mouth.
"Hahaha! That's so cool! If I had a tongue like yours, I'd be so stinking lazy.~ For example- if I'm typing on a computer and I don't feel like reaching over to grab my snack, I'd look over and use my tongue instead.~" Her relentless giggles stalled her, for he continued to grab more, and ate them.
Nonetheless, he heard a quick squeak of surprise and watched her dive into the jar with a handful. His mouth parted from amusement upon seeing her struggle to jam the fistful of crickets in her small mouth. "You are going to make yourself sick. Keep doing it," For the first time in his life, he wanted to chuckle, but held it in to keep himself composed.
"Mmmm, boy- crispy, crunchy.~" Amelia ignored him and kept chewing. Suddenly, she started to choke, watched her lean over the station, and slowly drifted to the floor. He couldn't help but give his smirk, or what could be considered as one, only to see her jolt back up and gasp. "Hah! Oh lord! It crawled down finally!" Clearing her throat, giggling at her own predicament, his golden gaze saw her turn to the jar and continue. "I know what you're thinking... And how DARE... You laugh at my misery!~" Once again her playful tone escaped her after she faked hurt, with her hand to her chest.
"I was not laughing," Plain and simple, Mesogog closed his slacked jaw. Into the jar, he reached in and strangely, coincidentally touching her hand when she did the same.
"Yeah- you were. Why was your mouth parted when I was suffocating?" There a mischievous smirk played at her lips, for she hardly looked to see his claws that barley grazed her fingers and reached past his limb for another.
"General amusement," As soon as he said that, he had to look at her to see why he heard a sudden, dramatic gasp, and the second he did, a couple of crickets were thrown at his face.
"Hahahaha! Fine, then! That's my general amusement, right there!" The redhead was laughing a bit too hard, considering her face was turning red and she was backing up to give him space.
All he could do was growl. His intense glare and warning hiss were proof that he had enough. Into the jar, he reached in and threw some right back at her, which caused her to gasp and laugh harder.
"Lord Mesogog... Such disrespect is highly uncalled for. Allow me to put her in her-" Before Zeltrax could intervene, Mesogog's claws raised to silence him and thankfully he did.
It wasn't but twenty minutes later after their little battle of crickets, that he walked the halls with a smug expression. She didn't heed my warning when I said I would win. His claws adjusted the front of his attire after he plucked a cricket from himself and ate it. I expect the floor to be spotless when I return. If it isn't... I'll be sure the entire jar of crickets is shoved down her windpipe. Despite his threat, his jaw slacked a little to show his version of a smirk, and recalled her fit of laughter when he threw the crickets back at her.
Suddenly, he stopped. His gaze looked down to see his hands aglow. "No... No!" He did his best to hold it back, but what made matters worse was when Amelia came up from behind and greeted him.
"I need to go to the store to get some cleaning supplies. Oh... You don't look so good," He barely caught a glimpse of her vibrant blues when she leaned past his side to look at his face.
What caught her off-guard was when he used his free hand to reach into her recently washed lab coat and yanked out her portal device. Not a second was wasted, he needed to try it. To his temple, coordinates were collected, and when he pointed it out, a platinum hole appeared. It wasn't long until he shoved it back into her hands and ran through.
"W- Wait! Where are you going?!" As fast as her feet could run, she followed and caused the portal to disappear afterward.

Inside an office of some sort, surrounded by a white interior, Amelia gawked at the room and returned her attention to Mesogog. He's reverting. Anton Mercer's going to be in control soon! I have to hide! Panic filled her mind when she thought about the blonde from before and looked around in search of a good spot.
To her left was a closet, she didn't think twice before running inside and closing the door. Her fingers pressed against the white door and kept an ear out for Mercer. Groaning, growling sounds, were turning into humanoid ones the longer she stood there. If the panting breaths weren't anything to go by, it was safe to assume that Mercer was in control now and it made an uneasy sensation fill her gut.
"I'm back," Anton's voice was full of momentary relief, so when Dr. Ray slowly cracked the door to peek through, she saw him stand up and straighten out his tie. Sweat made his forehead shine under the lights, his expression was hard to decipher save for the half-lidded eyes when he sighed.
Into a slow crouch, Amelia lowered herself, but unfortunately, the back of her short boot scooted something metallic and light. The scrape it made against the floor made her silently gasp and saw Anton freeze in his movements. Oh no! No, no, no, no, no! Come on, Amelia- think... I need a distraction! Something that would- her train of thought was cut off when she saw the man turn to the closet and glare daggers.
"Who's in there? Show yourself! No harm will come to you, if you do," Less than a minute of waiting, he watched the door creak open and revealed the redhead.
"Hello- hi! Sorry for intruding!" Just her luck, she squeaked and tripped on her way out when her heel was caught by a paint can's handle, and made a broom fall on top of her. "Ugh, that hurt more than it should've," Groaning, she soon felt a firm hand support her when she tried to stand and tumbled a little into his chest. "Ah- sorry, again!" A step backward was all it took to look at him and don her best smile.
"It's you. We met at Haley's Cafe', right? Why were you in my closet?" His cold gaze lit up with concern when he took notice of her new attire and hairstyle.
"Uh..." Vibrant blues averted from his as she trailed off to ponder carefully. Great! Just dandy... How am I going to explain this to him?! Oh- I was just following Mesogog when he turned into you! Bah- no, he wouldn't believe that! How about... I'm practicing to be a janitor! No- no... Just no. Ah whatever, out with it guess. Sighing, after an internal debate, she stared at his face that was full of suspicion. "I followed Mesogog here! Then I saw him turn into you! But I decided to hide because I didn't want to be seen. I planned on leaving if you did, so that way I wouldn't be trespassing," Explained the redhead a bit too quickly, and gave him an awkward grin. "There was a thirty percent chance it would've worked! The other seventy percent, was this bit here," Her tan finger wiggled around toward the floor and watched his expression go from quizzical to concerned.
"So... You're one of Mesogog's lackeys? Get out," Just when he turned around and headed down a hall, Amelia's panic pushed her into an impulsive decision that she may regret later.
"Gladly! But you know- I'm not his pawn! I'm just crashing at his lair for a while!" Her bright smile fell into a devastated one, once she realized she slipped up. Seeing him turn sideways to her with astonishment in his eyes, pure regret befell her like a waterfall.
"Not his pawn? Why are you at his place then?" This time, his slow trek back to her made her nervously shift her feet and look about in his office.
Alright- there's only one thing I can do to avoid this drama! And that iiiisss... Trailing off in her head, a smile tugged on her lips, and insane giggles escaped. "Because! He's letting me learn about prehistoric DNA! Have you ever seen his DNA?! It's so beautiful! Amazing! There's so much you can do with it!" The idea almost left her drooling, nonetheless, the device from her pocket was taken out and lifted to her temple. "Anyway! Ta-ta! I have some floors to clean!~" With that, the portal shot open and she ran in without him having much room to reply.

Anton wandered through his home to check for anything she may have stolen. Cold, blue eyes examined every piece of furniture to valuable items, none of which were taken, thankfully.
The white environment, save for the columns that exposed a beautiful scenery outside on one side of the hall, made him feel a bit relieved and it encouraged him to think back what the redhead said. "Prehistoric DNA," he quietly spoke to himself, turned around, and headed back to his office.
The clack of his shoes began to echo the further away from the open gaps in the hall, for he entered the room and sighed. "If she's not his pawn... Then what is she? Who is she? She must be helping him somehow... Otherwise, he wouldn't have her there," Spoken aloud, he mumbled and made his way to his computer.
She donned a lab coat. I was able to see chemistry tubes and other things hidden in various pockets when she fell. And that device... What was that? He leaned back in the leather seat and the sound of its material stretching went ignored. It was all too distracting, so checking things and working on his computer would be a hassle.
As he strode over to another seat, a book was plucked from a shelf before he sat down, and opened it. It was a scientific book, relating to chemistry and other subjects. However, the thought of the redheaded stranger still lingered and he couldn't focus very well on the book's contents.
Upon a faint sound in the doorway, he knew by its pattern that it was the same boy he spoke with in Haley's Cafe'; his son. Cold eyes irritably perked a second before they returned to the book. "Did you have a good day at school?" his question was like an icy wind, for it stuck in the air and had an uncaring tone to his words.
"It was alright," With a plain and simple answer, Mercer flipped a page and could tell the boy inched closer.
"I trust you've had time to think about our earlier conversation," There was a small tension in his forehead, it made Anton rub where he felt it and listened.
"Is that what it was?" Not another word came from the boy, as he glanced at him and noticed his hand gliding across his desk's surface.
"I assume you're referring to the fact that you weren't um... Happy, with the outcome," When he looked at his son, he watched him lean against the desk and frown.
"I'm just not crazy about you telling me not to draw anymore," There was disappointment in his words when he answered and it almost made Mercer sigh. He only wanted what was best for him, to be successful, and he deemed art to be a waste of his talent.
"Trent, when your parents disappeared, you and I agreed that I would act as your father. And fathers..." Suddenly, as he trailed off, he could feel the familiar sensation in his body that drove him into a slight dizzy spell. "Sometimes are forced to make decisions for their children, that the children don't care for," Everything was becoming blurry, the lightheaded feeling sent alarms in his body that a switch was in order and he tried to hold it back.
"Dad I get that. Dad... Are you all right?" Concern in Trent's voice was hard to answer as Anton's blurring vision worsened.
"Yes. I'm fine," Thankfully, he felt it pass for a moment, and put the book down on a small stand near him. "As I was saying. I can only raise you the way I know how. The way I see fit," He began, adjusting his tie to relieve him of some heat that made skin form beads of sweat. "Now all I expect of you, son, is that you abide by my rules, okay?" With his back to Trent, he explained, and overheard his quick 'that's fine'. "Now go. I have work to finish," He felt it, it was beginning to pick back up.
"Yeah, me too," The disappointment was a bit too obvious in his tone and Anton didn't need to look to know he left.
The moment he left, a breath he held in for a while, escaped, and he stood from his seat. Around his office and to the doorway, he wanted to make sure that his son wasn't around now and once the coast was clear, an invisiportal appeared.
He was careful to step before it and reach a hand forward, his eyes closed to avoid having to watch himself get sucked through. As he did, he didn't notice his son peek around the corner the moment he disappeared.
Upon transforming the second he appeared in his Throne Room, he observed Elsa who sawed at a black rock in the center. He hardly paid attention to their tiny bicker or her spat-out annoyance, for he was only focused on one thing and that was what the goth was doing. "The news better be good, you two," His words were like a whip to a horse. Watching as Elsa approached and put the saw down, he waited for her report.
"Sir. Although storing the artifact and the carbon energy formation has helped," her fingers pointed to try and reassure, but her nervous smile didn't go unnoticed. "It hasn't completely released itself," With her fists clenching, he couldn't help but grow irritable at the poor news.
"What are you telling me, Elsa?" Patience usually wasn't his thing, but he had quite a bit if he had to deal with failures and slow progressions. As he strode around the goth, with both hands clasped behind him, he began to ponder the possibilities.
"We need more time," Her answer made him want to claw open the piece of rock, but he knew if he did then it'd be a waste of his strength and energy.
"Time... Time is a luxury we cannot afford," As he trekked down the Throne Room and closer to the doors, he still listened to Elsa's hasty explanation.
"I understand that, sir. Although, I do feel as though the end result will fully justify our patience," Despite wandering around the small table with the black rock in the center, he hummed in thought.
"Perhaps you're right. What is your solution, Elsa?" There would've been a relieved grin on the dino man if he had a human mouth, nonetheless, he averted his attention.
"I have managed to simulate the final stages of the energy transmutation sequence. Well, it's only a matter of hours before its energy will join with your own," She was confident that her plan would work, but he didn't seem phased as his hand grazed over the rock to contemplate.
"Mere hours, eh?" Eager, a bit excited at the news, the tilt of his head and the examination of the rock proved it that much more. "Well. You have... twelve," When he stepped away and headed toward the one side of his room that contained other contraptions, his feet halted a moment.
Aside from the angry bit from the goth, who he didn't get to see shove Zeltrax aside, he pondered the crazy scientist's whereabouts. "Where... Is Dr. Ray?" The redhead that seemed to entertain him during his most bored moods, made his eyes glance throughout the room.
"Last I saw... She was in the Tyrannodrone Factory Room. She finished cleaning the lab floors and I was surprised at how shiny it looked," Elsa, during her efforts of sawing at the rock, answered over the loud sound.
He didn't say much else after that, for he passed by the two and left the room. After a long trek through the halls and down some stairs, when another door opened and revealed the room full of his drones, there on her knees sat Dr. Ray.
His breath hitched a the sight of a tiny creature. The slack from his jaw proved how taken aback he was, especially when he watched Amelia lift a piece of raw meat and toss it across the room.
"Go on! Go get it, boy!" Cheery words resonated as if she were in a cave and watched as the creature bounced happily and flapped its tiny wings. It looked like a Manx with scales instead of fur, as its tail resembled that of a Raptor of some sort. Its feline ears were perked and alert like a Doberman, slits which he could barely make out from his angle, were that of a dinosaur.
It had the face of a Manx and the teeth of a prehistoric predator. With its earthy colors ranging between light and dark brown, he was amazed, if not in awe of the whole display.
The creature sprinted back to the redhead like a child to its mother and flapped its tiny wings happily. Right into her arms, Amelia cuddled it close and listened to its strange purr that was a mix of a feline and a dinosaur. "Aren't you just the cutest?! Now, I wonder, since you have Mr. Mesogog's DNA, wouldn't that mean you would have some of his personality traits? Gasp! That means... You're like- his baby!" Despite the weight from the tiny thing's sheer muscle, she managed to lift it above her and flash the creature her brightest smile. "Who's a good evil baby, that's not really evil?! You are! Yes, you are!" Her mad giggles filled the room the second she pulled him closer and nuzzled its nose.
Its tiny barks and chirps indicated speech, as it tried to playfully paw at her face with its sharp claws. "Oh, you're just going be so big and scary when you get older, aren't you?! And a handsome little thing just like your Da-" When she spun about to play with it, amid her adoration, she caught herself in time when Mesogog was spotted in the doorway. "Da-... D- D.. DNA! Just like his DNA!" Awkward laughter replaced her once cheerful giggles and snuggled the little beast into her chest. "Hello- hi! I was going to come to you, but I didn't know when you would be back! I was so caught up in playing with Stevie that I didn't realize you returned!" Unease settled in her vibrant blues when she nervously shifted her feet and did her best to give him her signature grin.
His silence, the lingering stare he had wasn't on the creature anymore but on her. Slowly he brought himself across the room where she stood, for his jaw returned to normal and bore his gaze into hers with such intensity that she thought she would have to crack a joke to break it. "Stevie?" Finally, after what felt like minutes, his attention went to the creature, and poked Stevie's head with his claw.
"Yeah- Stevie! Isn't it such a cute name for something that'll be vicious when it grows up?~ Here!" Pure excitement replaced the nervousness she felt moments ago and lifted the beast to his eye level. I hope he didn't hear me slip! He doesn't need to know! I had a crush on him since I was a kid! Hehehehe... Those eyes. Drool-worthy.~ Indeed, she almost drooled, if she hadn't licked her lips to compose herself and hide her grin. Thoughts started to fill her mind with things that she dared not express out loud.
She watched him examine the beast, or so she thought, for his gaze mostly lingered on her and made it look like he was staring at Stevie. Amelia didn't know that he was trying to read her face and the look in her distant, daydreaming eyes.
"Dr. Ray... I expect a Raptor next, as I said before," Unbeknownst to her, he could see red tints on her cheeks and an attempt to hide her perverted grin. The tilt of his head toward her wasn't because of curiosity over the Raptor, but due to her expression.
"A- Ah! Right, right! Actually- I already started on it! And to make things more interesting, I wanted to try and make my own artificial dinosaur egg!" Twirling in place with Stevie in her arms, she continued. "I was thinking- if I created one, then it would have to have stronger chemicals to replicate it! Such as- maaaaaybe calcium carbonate crystal units, Amnion, Chorion, and Allantois! But- it could all go wrong if I'm not careful. So I'll need to create a mold to shape the egg and figure out how to hollow it out, or make it hollow while it's being made!" Snuggling the beast against her chest more, despite his annoyed protests, she beamed at the dino man whose jaw was once again slacked. "If I do this, then any dinosaur I make will be able to be born more naturally instead of through a container. What do you think?!" Cheerful, excitement radiated off of her like a heater on cold winter days. Or, like a bright sun on a hot summer day.
Either way, the redhead could tell he was contemplating her words carefully and watched him avert his gaze to Stevie. His hum was all she received, aside from a gentle stroke to the creature's head. "It could work. But then you have to determine the temperature it requires to incubate under," Amelia snorted at the humorous display, when Stevie huffed, shook his head, and swiped playfully at Mesogog's claws.
"Alrighty! I didn't think of that! Thanks! Soooo, what have you been up to? Anything... Funny? Or daaaangerous?!~" Scooting closer, leaning toward him a bit, her smile never faltered. Hehehehe... Dangerous, predatory, intense eyes, serious, a lot of testosterone, full-on maaaale... Yeah, I still can't get over him for some reason.~ Buuuut it's not like he'll ever think anything of me. Am I flirting? I can't tell. Her thoughts put her into a fit of giggles she didn't mean to let out, which made him answer to interrupt her.
"Yes... Elsa is working on a task for me. She's uncovered the dino gem and its energy will be combined with mine in about twelve hours," There was almost a triumphant lift in his tone when he took a step back from her odd closeness.
"Oh, cool.~ So daaark, and mysteriouuus!~ I bet you're excited. I know I would be! You should probably reward them for putting in so much effort! I would if I had my own money! I'd buy everyone lunch or dinner!" Like a bunny, she hopped in place, and let Stevie climb up her black shirt to reach her head. Giggles escaped after he sat on top and purred his strange purr, nearly missing her nose with his spiky tail.
"They have failed many times! They serve me, they do not need rewards. Your sympathy for them is only a waste of time and energy!" Although he was peeved at the thought of giving them something and having her suggest what he should do, Amelia didn't show any ounce of unease from his outburst.
"What you see as sympathy, is actually encouragement! If you show signs of appreciation for their efforts and compliment them, it could give them an emotional push to try harder each time. I'm no psychological expert, but dealing with co-workers and other employees, I've learned that much! You don't have to if you don't want to- I'm just saying, it'd be good to do on occasion.~" Dr. Ray did her best to keep Stevie balanced as she paced back and forth, ignoring the confused stare from the dino man.
More minutes passed, as she played with the creature's tail, unaware that the silence gave Mesogog enough time to take a breather and ponder. That was until he spoke again. "You know about Anton Mercer," As if on cue, the redhead froze, and stood wide-eyed at his statement. "You followed-" Before he could continue, a tan hand patted between where his brows would be and shushed him.
"Shush, shush, it's okay.~ I told you already, didn't I? I know a lot. I know about your plans, which means I also know about you and Mercer. Me knowing about you and him sharing a body, shouldn't be a surprise to you. Besides- It's not like me knowing stuff is going to hinder your plans any!" When she explained, she never removed her hand and noticed how he had leaned against her palm more.
It was quiet for a while, the sight took her by surprise, for she gazed at him in awe and watched his eyes flutter closed. However, after a couple of minutes, his head jerked back, growled, and stormed off. "That was weird," Whispering to herself, she kept her eyes on his backside until he left the room completely.
