Cat and Argos sat on the roof of a building, taking a refreshment break in the form of smoothies. Ladybug and Riyukko were elsewhere, and the cousins were glad to have chance to catch up.

Argos fanned his face with his feathered fan, staring up at the sky then at Cat. "We're their sunshine, you know," he said, quietly. Cat stared at his cousin, wondering if the heat was getting to him. "What?"

"We've been there for our girls when they needed us most, and in times of joy." Cat watched his tail swish. "I wasn't always here for M'lady. Remember when I was shipped off to London?" Argos eyed him seriously. "You had no control over that, and your wrong. You were in her heart." "I gave Plagg my ring, knowing it would help. And as funny as it sounds, Cat was with her that day."

"I'm so happy you and Kagami found each other," Cat pulled his knees to chin. "Marinette was her first friend, but even then she looked lonesome, wondering where she fit in." "And before I arrived, you held out the hand of friendship and kindness, a light in the darkness. Thank you." Cat nodded.

Even though a relationship hadn't worked out between Adrien and Kagami, they were very close friends, and Adrien knew one day wedding bells would ring for her and his cousin. "What's it like having Ladybug for a partner, anyway?" Argos asked. "I don't think I've ever asked you that."

Cat smiled, a happy, glowing look on his face. "Speaking of first friends, she was one of mine. After our first meeting I knew I wouldn't be alone anymore. As for her personality, she keeps me on toes! She may be the one in charge, but she cares for me deeply."

Argos nodded, keeping certain thoughts to himself. He knew deep down, Cat still loved Ladybug with all his heart, even if he was dating Marinette without the mask. "Kagami keeps me on my toes as well," Argos admitted. "Do you know, she actually beat me at a game of chess? And that little smirk on her face after!"

Cat laughed heartily. Argos was excellent at chess, and beating him was hard. "Are you going to teach her magic next?" Cat's eyes twinkled. Argos grinned. "I would, but then she might make me disappear!"

The cousins laughed and stood up. "We should head back," Cat said. "Its nice being able to talk like this." Argos smiled. "You are my favorite cousin, after all." Cat rolled his eyes. "Your my only cousin!"

Later that night, Felix couldn't sleep so he wandered down to the small fountain in the back garden, staring at his reflection on the water. Moonlight shone into the pool, taking on a shimmering glow.

The cousins were near reflections of the other, and everyone thought they were twins. Sure, they looked alike, but were different.

Even so, they loved their girls so much, and would do anything to protect them. After all, it was their girls who had saved them, mending their broken hearts with love.
