Immunity Challenge
Day 6
In the challenge area, Jeff's standing in front of the castaways next one. It's a flashback that the Samoa cast will definitely recognize.
Nefarious isn't here to crap all over it, but Shane, Diana, and Metal will notice.
"Come on in!"
The Loabi tribe enters the area first, getting a look at the challenge. Diana smirks when she sees the challenge.
Diana: This is where Greg lost it for us. I've gotten to know that koopa outside Survivor, he's nice, but if there's another Greg competing: we will lose.
That sitout bench is still there..but included with a little piece of paper underneath. They've started putting advantages at the challenges themselves. Whoever sits out is lucky.
Those ten come to a stop, nobody from the other tribe in sight. That's when Jeff signals to the other nine. "Welcome Loabi, get a new look at the Hathuru tribe…"
Hathuru makes their way to the challenge area, and one by one they make their way through. Everyone on Loabi notices no Nefarious.
"His personality was grating. Couldn't last this time." Gordon remarks.
"Metal's still here…" Li whispers to Cyrax. All the cyborg does is look into those piercing eyes.
Cyrax: The only reason Metal survived was because of Shane's personal vendetta. There is no other explanation.
He got it right.
Hathuru comes to a stop, and Shane and Metal recognize the challenge immediately.
"Alright. Tribal immunity is back up for grabs. Shane, Diana, and Metal were in this challenge all the way back in Samoa. Shane and Metal were on the winning team, and Diana's couldn't make it work." Jeff lore dumps.
"For today's challenge, your squad of nine will be divided into groups of three. The first group will swim out and grab three bags of puzzle pieces. Then you'll swim to the next platform, and hand those bags over to the next swimmers. You'll have to navigate past obstacles, such as a rolling pin to reach the last platform. Then you'll hand those bags over to your puzzle crew."
This might be a while in the ocean.
"First tribe to finish wins immunity, safe from Tribal Council tonight. Losers will see tonight where someone will be the second person losing their second chance."
Jeff turns to Loabi.
"Loabi, you need to sit someone out."
Instantly, Slade speaks up. "I'll take one for the team."
Jeff points to the sitout bench. "Then head on over." After he leaves, Jeff faces the eighteen total competitors.
"I'll give you a moment to prepare, and we'll get started."
Hathuru:
Swimmers: Shane, Li Mei, and Blu
Obstacles: Metal Sonic, Little Mac, and Peach
Puzzle: Sektor, Zelda, and Ripley
Loabi:
Swimmers: Chun-Li, Diana, Kabal
Obstacles: Kano, T'Challa, and Sackboy
Puzzle: Cyrax, Gordon, and Dark Samus
The swimmers on each team have readied up.
"Here we go, immunity on the line. Survivors ready?"
.
.
.
"GO!"
Those six jump right in and stroke towards the first platform. Diana's the furthest ahead, improving swimming since her time off. Li and Kabal are doing their best to keep up, not bad swimmers, but not quick enough to catch her.
"Loabi's snatched the lead early, leaving Hathuru in the dust!" Jeff narrates.
While Loabi has a solid lead, Shane and Li Mei lead the pack, with Blu doing her best paddling t get ahead. She was never the greatest at swimming, but it's easy to look like a chump when there's three immunity threats on the other side.
That Yoshi's jaw is dropping at Loabi's speed, and she gets a confessional.
Blu: ..so THIS is what it felt like for everyone. Wow. I've never felt more helpless..EVER.
While their swimmers look to catch up, Loabi's reps are already untying those bags.
"You could say Loabi has an all-star team. Kabal, one of our quickest, Diana one of our strongest, and Li, one of our most adaptable." Jeff narrates, pushing Loabi's tribe strength.
Bags are untied, they continue to the next platform. Hathuru's getting close, and Shane starts ordering traffic.
"Rip 'em if you have to!" He says, aggressively untying a bag. Not every team can make a comeback and he knows it. Mei shakes her head, going at a slower pace to avoid mistakes.
Shane unties a bag!
Mei unties the second!
Blu's fingers are starting to slip, so Shane just yanks her forward so they can make for more time.
"You can untie bags to save time, but if you don't have any time then is it really an advantage?" Jeff asks.
The Loabi swimmers get to the next platform, and hand their bags off to Kano, T'Challa, and Sackboy!
"Stay strong." T'Challa says, getting to that water first.
"Corny wanker.." Kano mutters, following him In.
Sackboy almost trips over himself getting in, but air can't stop him as he makes the jump! Those swimmers are closing in on those obstacles.
The Hathuru swimmers get to their platforms, and hand them over to Metal, Mac, and Peach who immediately jump in, wasting no time on talking, banter, or monologuing of any kind. They have time to make up.
While Loabi holds the lead over Hathuru, Slade's a not-so-innocent bystander, because while everyone else is looking at the challenge ahead..he slips his hand under the bench.
"Let's see…"
At the very end, the puzzle area, Cyrax taps Gordon's shoulder and looks up at the bench. Slade yanks his hand from under the bench. It seems to be working so far because those two just ignore him.
He feels a pinch, and tugs the source! He takes control and pockets the advantage before anyone can see him.
In confessional, he's clinching that hidden (for now) advantage.
Slade: There's a reason to everything I do. If someone tries taking this from me, they won't like what happens next.
Hathuru's making progress, their next set of swimmers already coming for those obstacles. Metal's speed is coming in handy, leading the pack while Mac and Peach are at his foot. That gaps starting to close a little..
Just a little. On Loabi's side, T'Challa is thriving, getting through the FIRST rolling pin. There's a couple more added to the water. Kano has a little trouble getting over the first, but has an iron grip on that bag.
Sackboy isn't so lucky. As he scales the first pin..it knocks the bag from his hands!
"Sackboy with a BIG blunder!"
The sack has no choice but to go back and fetch it, which ends up losing time because Hathuru's swimmers pass him!
"Hathuru's back in it, and Sackboy needs his pieces FAST!"
Kano takes action. "MOVE IT WHY DON'T YA?!"
While Sackboy starts blowing it for his tribe, the three Hathuru's are making way to those rolling pins. They aren't getting close to T'Challa, but Kano's in reach.
"The hell?" Kano asks, looking back to see Sackboy scrambling. "Oh f*ck us!"
T'Challa hands his bag over to the Loabi puzzle crew. After a good ten seconds, Kano hands his bag over! The puzzle crew can't do much about it because they are still missing one last batch of pieces!
"YOU CAN DO IT, SACK!" T'Challa shouts, trying to encourage him instead of berate him.
Kano shakes his head. "Lost cause…"
The Black Panther turns to him. "Have decency."
"No."
That king just shakes his head. "You never learn."
Metal reaches the Hathuru puzzle crew, and hands them his bag!
Peach reaches them next!
Mac reaches them!
"Hathuru, you're good!" Jeff yells, letting them know it's puzzle time. Sektor, Zelda, and Ripley get to it, setting the foundation for this Stingray puzzle.
Sektor: Seeing Cyrax so helpless brings me joy. He deserves to lose.
Loabi are basically stuck in the mud until Sackboy grabs his bag. He DOES, but still has to get over the rolling pins.
One of his tribemates on the sidelines airs her thoughts.
Diana: Sackboy is great socially, but physically we're starting to see he's the weakest. Doesn't mean he has to go, because I'M even starting to disregard challenge strength. There's no "would of," "could of," "should of," if we lose. We'll have to face Tribal and whoever goes, goes.
Sack gets over the first rolling pin, but he needs to speed it up because Hathuru is doing great on the puzzle. Sektor's coordination, combined with the smarts of Zelda and Ripley aren't doing the kid any favors.
"Loabi STILL behind! The pressure is on!"
Sack gets over the second pin! When he goes over the third pin, he starts to fumble the bag…but grips it tighter and he goes over!
"Sackboy's over! This is your chance Loabi!"
The sack swims while the Loabi puzzle crew reaches their hands out. He hands them the bag!
"You're good Loabi, start working on the puzzle!"
Cyrax, Gordon, and D. Samus get to work, with Cyrax leading the puzzle portion. Gordon just kinda sets a few pieces forward, while the two smart machines do a majority of the work.
All Sackboy can do is watch, and hope his choke doesn't ruin it for his tribe.
In confessional he's twiddling his thumbs.
Sackboy: ehhh…I really hope they don't hate me after this.
Both crews are taking to the puzzle, with Hathuru having the lead, but Loabi starting to close that gap.
"Momentum can swing on a puzzle. Better hope you have a good crew." Jeff narrates, using binoculars to check on each puzzle.
Three on three, piece after piece, who will take victory, and who will taste defeat?
.
.
.
Zelda gets the final piece in! "Jeff!"
The host looks over, and…
"HATHURU WINS IMMUNITY!"
"HA!" Sektor laughs, pointing at Cyrax. "Did you seriously think you could compare to me? Or have you gotten soft?"
"If you think I'm soft, face me." That cyborg responds, staring into those cyber blue eyes.
Neither cyborg actually fights right then and there, although it's tempting.
Cyrax: He'll regret his boasting when we go one on one.
Everyone swims back to shore, and divide themselves back into their tribes. Jeff gives Hathuru a bright look. "Congratulations Hathuru, you are safe from tonight's Tribal Council, and have a couple more days off. Head back to camp, enjoy it."
Those nine head back to camp, Mac smiling as the odds are even between tribes.
That just leaves Loabi to get Jeff's cold face. "Loabi..got nothin' for ya. Maybe if you fish as a team you can get back in it."
A little rude but some of those personalities may need it thrown back.
"Head back to camp. I'll see you tonight at Tribal Council, where one of you will be the second person voted out…"
The full herd of ten, are about to lose one, and there's a few options to go off of. Cyrax is ready to take action.
Cyrax: The time for talking is over. It's time to take action, and I believe my plan is the best.
Loabi
Day 6
Chun-Li, Cyrax, Dark Samus, Diana, Gordon, Kabal, Kano, Sackboy, Slade, and T'Challa
The ten arrive back at camp, and Sackboy immediately wants to address the elephant in the room.
"I'm really sorry for screwing that up…"
Diana sits next to him. "Nobody's perfect. I can mess up myself."
"I just..I dunno it sucks having it RIGHT there..and blowing it."
"I understand…"
T'Challa watches Wonder Woman do her best to reassure the sack. Kano's words certainly didn't make him feel better.
T'Challa: Kano loves to kick people while they are down. What a pathetic way to fight.
The Black Panther takes his concerns to his new alliance in Gordon and Diana.
"If we keep him around too much, he WILL hurt morale, especially if we get rid of Kabal." He notes. "It's not worth it keeping Kano around."
Gordon cocks a brow. "I'd do it in a heartbeat. One problem…"
"I understand we need to cooperate with season four, but..Kabal's much more tolerable. Maybe he'll work with us later."
The look on the Chef's face is just a bunch of "nuh uh." "Thought the same last time. Don't know if we want to make that mistake again."
Diana keeps her mouth shut, listening to the two debate.
Diana: Right when people think Kano's gone, he finds a way out. Kabal..IS a threat, but Kano's a nuisance so I can see the pendulum swinging back and forth between these dragons. One will live another day, while another one has to go early.
While that trio works through it..the trio in trouble are on the walking path with Slade. Kabal's leading the charge while Kano, Dark Samus, and Slade listen.
People at home get to hear first.
Kabal: I've cooked up a plan. If we get Slade and they want to split on us: we'll put four on Cyrax, and call it a day. 4-3-3, we win.
"It's always been the Black Dragon against The Tribe. They want us gone so bad they'll keep Cyrax, someone who woulda won, over US, who rubs people the wrong way all the time." Kano explains to his fellow mercenary in Slade. "We're in their heads."
"Rent-free." Slade adds, turning to Kabal. "So you want Cyrax out?"
"If you want to go blend in with the majority, we're ready for it. We know how you play, big bad villain Slade slitting throats and slaying goats." Kabal quips.
"You know."
Kano's thoughts are aired in confessional.
Kano: Shade Wilson's on the move. In another life I'd come for him, but i want this little alliance to take me far. One of us will go, but Slade could take the other person in the clan far. I want to be that guy, but Kabal's the sane one. And he doesn't have any sanity left.
Before that big majority makes up there mind, everyone needs a say..including the Black Dragon's target for the night: Cyrax.
He's walking along the shore with Gordon, not knowing he's a target, but having a plan of his own.
"..you want Kabal first?" Gordon's question confirms it.
"He's the smarter player of the group. T'Challa may not want Kano, but if Kabal has a tempting offer, we could see him flip later. History has repeated itself. I can see the same with him." Cyrax points out.
"He's trying to play loyal."
"There's no chance he leaves us by keeping Kano alive. I know it's a horrible decision for morale keeping him around..but after his allies are taken out, who will really work with him?" Cyrax asks. "Li Mei never liked them. They took out Mac in a rock draw. Nobody from our seasons wants to commit to him long term."
"Mei did with Kabal…bloody hell he's a bigger problem than the last one."
"Let's neutralize the threat."
Gordon crosses his arms. "T'Challa's not gonna go with it."
"He's not emotionless. He'll come around if we argue enough."
"That's right.."
A confessionals airs, it's Gordon and his full thoughts on this.
Gordon: They're both a pain in the ass to deal with for different reasons. Kano's an asshole with a big mouth, Kabal's an asshole who can hide it, and I'm the asshole who has to keep one of them around. It doesn't matter who we take out, because the other will make it hell for us one way or the other.
What does Cyrax think?
Cyrax: If we take Kabal out of this equation, the Dragons lose their brain. A group without a brain, is a group without power.
The sun is setting, and Tribal is coming right for Loabi. Ten players were lucky to get a little break, but it's their Second Chance and Tribal hasn't forgotten about them.
Important decisions will need to be made, and this next one could impact the direction of the game.
Slade's another important factor, heading for his torch by that tree. He's caught in a spot. Vote out Cyrax, and side be an honorary Black Dragon with Dark Samus. He takes out a smart player, but will be stuck in the minority 5-4. OR cut one of the dragons off, and save himself a good nine days. If Loabi goes on a losing streak, he could be in a lot of trouble since he's basically an extra number for the majority. After the three dragons are gone, he could be fifth out.
Decisions, decisions.
Slade: Who would have thought someone like ME would get to decide anything? Taking your foot off the gas really does pay off.
Tribal Council
Night 6
The ten Loabi enter Tribal with their dim torches in hand. Jeff's standing across from that fire pit, hands behind his back. That pit is calling for this group again.
"Light up your torches. Fire is your life in this game. Once it's gone, so are you."
They dip their torches into the inferno again, set them in their holes, and take a seat. Unlike Hathuru, more of Loabi HAVE seen the first tribal council of the season. Sackboy, Li, Diana, Gordon, and Slade.
HALF got a nice vacation.
Nonetheless, they get seated and Jeff's ready to kick Tribal off. "Alright. I would love to ask what it's like being back here, but after what I saw at the challenge..we have enough to talk about. Sackboy…"
The sack looks down. "Oh no.."
"Where did you think you went wrong?"
He looks up and sighs. "Um..the rolling pins got me. They always get the small people. I'm not some hero in challenges like most of the people next to me."
"Diana, Kabal. You know what it's like to win challenges. Does Sackboy's reasoning good? Or are you just going to say oh he's weak, let's vote him out?" Jeff asks.
"In a normal season, we would consider strength. You know well, that on a second time challenge strength gets looked over. Some of us have grudges, others want to work smarter, anything can happen." Diana answers.
"Yeah, especially when we got some of the big guns." Kabal adds.
"Big guns?" Diana asks.
"Threats. Sack, no disrespect but nobody's coming for you."
"That's not disrespectful…" (Sack)
"When people are coming into this, you aren't one of the big names everyone wants out. You got screwed by a Decepticon. Everyone wants to work with you." Kabal reminds him. "I wouldn't stress too much, everyone has their own agenda."
"Thats a stressful way to end a sentence." Diana adds.
"You get the point." Kabal says, turning back to Jeff, ready to talk to someone else.
"T'Challa, I noticed that you were encouraging Sackboy. When he blew the lead you didn't give up on him. Is that just a part of your personality? Or did you feel bad?"
"Both. This is a individual game in the end, but we are on teams now, and you aren't a good teammate if you talk down to others when they are struggling." T'Challa answers. "Some decided to be different." He cocks his head towards Kano.
"Kano?" Jeff asks.
"..You don't have to be a hero to get over the damn pins." Kano cuts in, all eyes on him. Kabal just facepalms, knowing that Kano has the biggest mouth out of everyone.
"You're mean…" (Sackboy)
"You're learning this now?"
T'Challa turns to Jeff. "See what I'm talking about Jeff? His lack of decency will always put him in danger."
"So what? If I'm annoyed I'm gonna say something. I don't gotta change for you or your country." Kano bites back. "Got it?"
"You learned nothing."
Jeff interjects. "Hold on. Kano, he's giving you legitimate criticism, but you're just shutting it down."
"Playing nice never works for me. It's not who I am, and it's not a good way to win. If I ever get to the end, I can't tell the jury I played with honor and integrity. That mindsets outdated. You can't win shit without getting dirty." Kano responds.
Gordon winces. "Yikes."
"What do you have to roast me for THIS time Gordy?"
"You focus way too much on strategy. You always blank out the social game."
"Did your social game win you the million?" Kano asks, smirking, ready for that reaction from the Chef.
"Hey dipshit, YOUR social game got you ninth. If you keep pushing, it'll be nineTEENTH." Everyone looks the chef's direction. "Zeus' arrogant ass can come here and play it better than you."
"I'm sure he can." Kano responds, looking at Jeff. "Can we just get this outta the way?"
"I'll shut up when you do." Gordon snaps back. "Got it?"
Kano just snickers at the reaction he got. If he's going out, he's going to piss a few people off before he does. It's his style.
"Alright…before we vote, does anyone have ANYTHING to add?"
.
.
.
Nobody speaks up.
"Then it is time to vote. Kano, you're up first."
He gets to his feet and heads to the booth.
Kano's in the booth, and spits on the ground.
Kano: Let's see here…C..Y..R..A..X.
He jots the name and turns his parchment to the cam.
Kano: You aren't getting to four again. If you survive, nobody can call themselves an all-star. (Cyrax)
After he leaves, Gordon's in next.
Gordon: The both of you piss me off to no end. I'm honored to break you up. (?)
When he leaves, Cyrax enters next.
Cyrax: Nobody is perfect in these games. We all have a fatal flaw. Yours is easy to find, and it may do you in. (Kano)
Once all ten castaways are done voting, they get seated. That's Jeff's signal to fetch the urn. "I'll tally the votes…"
While he goes after that urn, Kano turns to Kabal. "You gonna pray for me?"
"I'm praying for myself."
"Typical Kabal." Kano says, letting a chuckle out. Is he unbothered? Or too bothered?
Jeff brings the urn back, placing it on the podium. "If anyone has a hidden immunity idol or advantage, and want to play it, now would be the time to do so.."
Everyone looks at the Black Dragon.
"Don't have any on me." Kabal admits.
"Sh*t." Kano mutters.
There's no protection for them, and unless Slade lends them a hand, all they can do is wait.
"Once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person with the most votes will be asked to leave Tribal Council, and their second chance is over." Jeff reminds. "I'll read the votes…"
He removes the lid, pulls out the parchment, and orders it up. Once he's satisfied..it's time. "First vote…"
.
.
"Kano."
"Shocking."
.
.
"Kabal."
.
.
"Kano."
.
.
"Kabal. Two votes Kano, two votes Kabal…"
.
.
"Kano."
.
.
"Kabal. That's three votes Kano, three votes Kabal, four votes left…"
Kano pats Kabal on the back. "See you on the other side."
"Hold on…"
.
.
"Cyrax."
"Hm."
.
.
"Cyrax."
The cyborg leans towards Li. "If it's me, you know what to do." He whispers.
.
.
"Cyrax. That's three votes Cyrax, three votes Kabal, three votes Kano..ONE vote left."
A grin starts to form on Kano. "C'mon…"
"Second person voted out of Survivor: Second Chance…"
The Black Dragon and Cyrax are tensed up. One of them is getting cut way early.
.
.
"Kabal."
Kano grits his teeth. "F*CK."
While Kano's upset, Kabal sighs, taking his torch from the hole. "I got got."
While he walks to Jeff, Slade turns to Cyrax. "Didn't scare you too much, did I?"
"That was too close." Cyrax responds, setting a hand on his shoulder. "I'm glad you actually kept your word."
While Cyrax appreciates safety, Kano turns to Dark Samus, his only clear ally left. "I'm gonna blow shit up. Up for it?"
"Always."
Kabal doesn't get to take part in any of this, he has to set his torch down in front of Jeff.
"Kabal.."
Jeff raises his snuffer.
"The tribe has spoken."
SNUFF…
"Time for you to go."
Kabal leaves the Tribal Council area without a word. As he walks down the bridge, all that he can think about is the one vote.
"Damnit.."
Once he's out of view, Jeff turns back to the nine Loabi left. "
The Loabi grab their torches and leave the Tribal Council area. With one Black Dragon out of the game early, how's the other going to react? What role will Dark Samus have in it? Will the war between Season Four and the Gordon, Diana, T'Challa powerhouse start off?
All questions to be answered as Second Chance rolls on.
Kabal's Final Words
Kabal: My association with Kano got me killed. I was able to make something happen in Fiji, but these people got me dead in the water. I never really trusted Slade in the first place, and Kano has to deal with him now. If our little club doesn't work out, I'll be seeing him in a couple days.

4-3-3. Never done before in the series, but thanks to the vote split, it finally happened. Cyrax was SO close to going home, but Slade decided to keep himself in the majority, instead of putting himself in a minority. He and the six chose to bounce Kabal, and he's done for. Kabal couldn't really do too much, but had more options if Kano left first. He almost blindsided Cyrax here and now, but that fourth vote did him in. A short run from him, but he still tried to make something happen.
The third episode is coming soon. College work is a bit heavier this semester, with more projects, group work, and longer assignments to worry about. I'll still keep this series going. I've devoted almost two years of my life to this, and I won't stop until I lose my excitement! I got two more seasons on schedule, and more to come!
Next chapter features the fallout of 4-3-3, Kano's reaction, and this Shane vs. Metal story on Hathuru. Ticket out, and stay tuned as the first week comes to a close!
