Death Pov:
"I am a servant of humanity. Much like my siblings who help guide the course of humanity in creating both joy and dismay, unable to interfere with their lives but to meet them at a potential moment when all seems lost. Despite being ethereal beings of sound and mind, there are people with powers who seek to abuse people and toy with them to entertain the madness that has consumed them. Most of them are old gods that desire to satisfy their boredom, others are demons that are curious to see how strong their will is. The only way for them to be entertained is by searching for people who are either desperate or need a reason to be free, to see there is more to their life than what was given to them. All it takes is one person to get their attention, either on this plane of existence or the next. This particular entity that wishes to start his trouble-making, will travel to a world before things were different. Where a certain mad Supe was still young and could be changed into a force of destruction. Much like kids, all they need is a friend to hang out with."
Alternate Supe Earth-Vought Tower
It was a grand day for the city of New York to that of how things were going for the company of Vought. Recently with the company's latest Supe addition, the crowd was excited for the arrival of Homelander. The red, white, and blue-capped adult was trying his best to not embarrass himself in front of the crowd that questioned him about his origin and upbringing. He didn't tell them about his first mission at a local chemical plant that resulted in taking out several terrorists and hostages by accident. He was right now in the room looking at the causalities of what happened at the plant with his manager Stillwell talking about the aftermath.
"Well, not exactly the rollout I imagined for you, but. You handled it well. Believe it or not, even with everyone dead, your ratings went up."
She informed him that the destruction was unbearable, and the lives taken were heavy for everyone. Homelander's first appearance and his words of sadness help convince the public that he was stricken with grief for being unable to save everyone. The Supe could see the look on her face that she was satisfied with what happened, which meant he did a good job.
"Good. That's good."
He responded to Stillwell about how this would help him become popular amongst the community to ensure his spot on the upcoming team that was being made by Vought. The two decided to go out for a walk down the hallway to handle what would be next for the two of them. With how his new life was just starting, there was something else that he wanted to tell his manager.
"You know, you were wrong about Noir. He had a few things to teach me after all when we handled the chemical plant."
Homelander brought up that Black Noir was there to assist him in making sure there were no witnesses in the aftermath of the chemical plant. Especially with how John lost it and killed the terrorists and the hostages in frustration after being yelled at by them. Hearing this made Stillwell look at him with a questionable expression that he was fond of the mute Supe who was more popular than Homelander due to his relationship with Vought and the public.
"Consider that a gift from him. You have to know that the only one you can trust is me since I know what's best for you. Don't I?"
She asked with a soft tone in her voice along the lines of pressing her hand onto his chest which left which made him nervous since John had trouble talking to women. Nodding his head toward her, Homelander decided to make his way to his room so he could settle in and have some alone time due to the events that had happened to him last night. Just as he tried to calm his thoughts, John remembered the shouting and insults being lashed out at him.
"fuck you, you fascist fuck! What the fuck do you think happens when you heat a fucking gun, you stupid fuck! What kind of fucking superhero are you?!"
The attackers shouted which left the Supe unable to control himself as well as his emotions to the point where he snapped. Continuing to ignore the rants filling his mind, again and again, his eyes started to heat up to where he was about to lose them again in his room. Before he could open his eyes and use heat vision across the room, he suddenly felt something rubbing up against him and taking away his anger.
"The hell?"
He asked in confusion as he was being rubbed by an orange cat. It surprised John since there weren't any animals allowed in Vought Tower for either employees or Supes. While he wanted to tell Stillwell and security about the mysterious feline that was in his room, he could only smile at how it was comforting him in his time of need.
"You're not scared of me aren't ya, little guy?"
Asking the orange cat as he took a moment to look at the feline as didn't look like any ordinary cat. It had several black markings around its body with red eyes that looked similar to his eyes whenever he used his heat vision. Meowing toward the Supe, he leaves his hands to walk over toward his cabinet and near the light switch. Using its paws to turn off the lights, John's room was filled with complete darkness to the point where he started to feel there was no air conditioning coming into the room."
"She's a girl."
A voice spoke out through the shadows as John looked forward to seeing a set of red eyes frighteningly staring at him. Within the next few seconds, the cat turned the lights back on which showed a young man in a school uniform with blue skin. The cat noticed her owner as she leaped off the cabinet to land in his arms as he stroked her orange fur softly.
"Her name. Is Teekl, and she's a very special pussy cat. Aren't ya?"
He told John her name and praised the red-eyed feline as she purred softly in his arms before allowing her to roam around the room. The Supe could tell that he wasn't with Vought to that of being a Supe, flying off his bed about to attack him. The boy raised his index finger and stopped him in midflight it caught John off guard, especially since this was the first time he met someone more powerful than he was.
"I don't know who or what the hell you are. But you picked a bad day to start trouble with me."
John informed the boy as he gave the caped man a grin before pointing at a chair and bringing it over to force Homelander to sit on it. With that being handled and enabling him to stand the Supe had trouble trying to get up.
"You're right. Introductions are important if you want to make a good entrance, let's see. My name is Klarion, Klarion the witch boy."
Introducing himself to John as he was confused at what that was supposed to mean. Teekl meowed at Klarion that it wasn't enough to convince Homelander he was important, it left the boy to try and add in several other aliases for John to understand.
"For real? Everyone knows my name. Klarion the lord of chaos. Ambassador of Limbo town? Sinker of Atlantis? Occultist of madness? None of this is making you afraid of me?"
He listed numerous titles which made Homelander confused about his reputation. Rolling his eyes at the issue of not being known, it left Klarion to make his face demonic and show a horrific form that made John yell in fear since it was something he'd never seen before.
"Holy fuck! Put that away!"
John cried out at his face Klarion as he reverted his face to normal as it made him laugh at amusement for scaring the daylights out of Homelander. Walking over to sit by his side, he was fascinated by talking to the patriot-like superhero.
"Oh carp that was amazing. Especially with the expression that your face made, all scared and panicking. It's one of the things I like about mortals. Always afraid of something new and different, but you're not so mortal. Aren't ya?"
Klarion asked him which caught John off guard by what he meant by mortal since he was able to survive anything from an explosion to bullets hitting his chest. Sighing at how confused he looked, Klarion sat on his bed and looked at the Supe with fascination so he could put things in simpler terms.
"Come on. I know all about you and let me tell you, I'm a major fan of your work. Or rather the version I read of you from the comic I got from a devious imp I know."
Expressing an interest in Homelander and pulling out a comic with the title 'Injustice League Takeover'. Handing it to him and letting John read the story, it started with his upbringing at the laboratory that made him that of the experiments to tear his endurance. Soon enough it went into several time jumps to where he was the leader of the Seven and battling a group that was similar to his. While the curious Supe continued to read, Teekl meowed toward Klarion for what he was doing, and it was too much for him since he was new to meeting a lord of chaos.
"Will you relax Teekl? He needs this. Besides, the people at the lab already used his mind like a sponge. All I'm doing is giving him a new sponge to soak up."
Klarion told his cat as the pair heard the comic drop to the ground and saw John running over to his bathroom and throwing up in horror at what he had read. Teekl meowed at how the smell hit her nose as her owner held her nose since it was a lot for the Supe to take in. Feeling his heart pumping fast and the images he had read, it felt like his entire life was an excuse to be hated and manipulated like a child by his parents.
"I'm. Just their fucking product."
John spoke in the revelation that all he was to Vought was the latest line in Supe's that was made by a man obsessed with changing the world around him and his wife who were with the Germans back in World War Two. Along the lines that Stillwell used him to ensure the power of Vought would be spread across the country. Taking a moment to sit back down on the chair, he felt Klarion's hands on his shoulder to try and comfort him.
"Hey, now. There's no need to start pouting, especially since this is a different Earth. Something we don't need to get into but know that these party crashers? Won't be coming here to ruin anything."
He gave John comfort before he burned the comic in his hand as it left him confused about what Klarion meant. Spinning in a charismatic manner and letting Teekl sit on his lap, Klarion pulled out a poster that showed John's new outfit that didn't represent the flag of the United States of America. It showed John in a new costume that was grey, white, and black while having his signature eagle shoulder pads. The one new thing was a helmet to cover up his hair and face as it made him appear like a fantasy villain, yet the look had caught John's attention.
"This. Is the real you, not letting the influencers or Vought guide your path. You are in charge and not taking carp from anyone. Imagine it, Homelander. Prime time ruler."
Offering the Supe a new costume as well as the one thing that nobody offered him since he was born back in the laboratory. A choice, it felt strange for John to see this suit and that he needed it. However, the poster disappeared in front of him as it showed Klarion showing his hand toward the Supe in the hopes of making a deal with him.
"I can help you get this and change your life. All you have to do is shake my hand and promise that we're going turn this damn world upside down. As friends."
Klarion explained the agreement that he would make with John since it would leave the Supe to have a lord of chaos by his side and help him with whatever he desired. The only thing that was required was to let Klarion be a part of this world and do whatever satisfied his need for destruction. With the realization of his life and the man he'd become, John looked at the witch boy with a firm expression before giving him a handshake.
"Turn the world upside down? We're going fucking dominate the planet."
He announced as Klarion grew a smile on his face before his hand lit in red fire which started to consume the Supe. Teekl watched as the man was on fire and screaming in pain it felt like he was back in the furnace when the scientist experimented on him back in the laboratory as the armor that was around his belt and shoulder pads melted off and landed on the chair. Teekl meowed at Klarion while watching the transformation happening in front of them.
"Don't give me that look Teekl. I promised us a new world away from those Lords of Order chumps, and this is a world we can play on. As well as have someone who can entertain us without interruption."
Explaining how their Earth had been impossible to enjoy with the growing numbers of heroes appearing on Earth and everything becoming dramatic and serious. Luckily with the comic that Mister Mxyzptlk had sent across his Earth and the different dimensions that held all manners of demented reality-altering beings this Earth would be a new start to cause disaster and mischief here. Hearing the door handle jiggle, Klarion and Teekl disappear as it was Stillwell who was holding a clipboard about John's schedule.
"Alright. We have several meetings happening in the next hour, also candidates for the Seven and reporters wanting to know about Homelander's."
"Prime."
He interrupted her as the executive took a moment to smell the cinder that was left in the room before seeing John on the ground with a scorched circle around him. She notices his cape on the ground was burnt and half of his costume ruined as John was wearing the suit that Klarion presented to him. Standing up and looking at Stilwell, she couldn't recognize him along with how his perfect blonde hair had changed to grey.
"My name. Is Homelander Prime. And I don't think I need you controlling my life."
John stated as his eyes glowed red and floated at her in a frightening expression Stillwell was about to flee from the room but couldn't escape from him. While John was painfully ending the woman's life, Klarion was by the curtains watching the gruesome sight while stroking Teekl's back.
"See Teekl? I told you he'd be fun to hang out with."
Informing his cat companion as they saw how John had scorched her entire head off so he didn't have to remember her face again. Looking over at the burnt chair that was replaced with the helmet that was on the poster, walking over to pick it up and wear the helmet. John looked at his reflection where he saw Klarion by his side letting out wicked laughter at how the two would cause much trouble for the world, while also taking care of a few things during their duration in changing the world in their image.
Several Years Later
Just as Klarion had promised John. The two had completely shifted the power balance of the world as well had turned Vought into a Supe empire that Homelander Prime was in charge of, alongside the witch boy as his trusted ally and only friend who enjoyed causing mayhem with him. They had taken care of the potential threats that would go after him, such as people like Billy Butcher and his team that handled Supe matters. The FBSA had countermeasures to handle Homelander and any of Vought's Supes that would be a threat to the country, finally, several Supes attempted to kill him and refused to work under him. Within the new and changed city of New York was Homelander Prime's tower along the home base for his team, the Overseers. Looking outside of the window, Homelander Prime turned around to see his teammates waiting to start the meeting.
"Friends. People who once used their powers for commercial usage to become gods of the world. It's a pleasure to see you all here."
He said with a smile since one of the things that Klarion helped him with was picking the right recruits that would be great for his team and not screw him over. Such as Sister Sage, one of the smartest women of the Supes who handled making the security of Vought into a private army. Ezekiel is a priest who helps people put their faith in them and trust in knowing what's best for the city. Webweaver, an arachnid-themed Supe who handles assassinations and takes care of potential threats. Behemoth, their strongest member could lift an entire building and hurl it across a street block, and Tek Tyrant, who would design and make the armor for the team and handle business transactions from other countries.
"While you consider it fun for us to get together. There are urgent issues that need to be handled. Presumably amongst our team members."
Sister Sage stated as she turned on the projector in front of them it showed several places around the Earth where they had established their rule. Several places had been destroyed by Behemoth after he was sent to handle any hidden rebels trying to plan the Overseer's downfall.
"So? I trashed their place and broke some people. They didn't mind after I stepped on their skulls."
Behemoth responded to her since he enjoyed being a living bulldozer for Homelander Prime since it allowed him to destroy anything in his path. Sage rubbed the side of her head at his behavior since there was more to just destroying the secret hideout.
"They had information on several unregistered Supe's that we could bring in for training. More importantly, we've whipped out half of the countries that stood against us. We planned on making them our new bases of operation."
She stated that while their city was fortified and had everything they needed. They could expand their reach across other countries that seemed to be withstanding their assault. Just as the group started bickering about whether or not it was the right decision to move their influence to the rest of the world, they heard a purr coming from the doorway as it came from Teekl. Who was standing by Klarion's side, wearing beach-style clothing and drinking out of a coconut which meant he had traveled somewhere exotic.
"I mean. While I had a hand in killing several presidents and sovereign leaders, this is still a team effort in making this world ours. Can't we all enjoy the fire help ignited?"
The witch boy asked in a devious manner as Teekl leaped onto the table and messed with the projector it suddenly changed to showing the places they had taken over igniting into fire. Blinded by the light, Sage shuts it off due to how unpredictable they were to that danger since she'd seen them in action.
"There is more than just destruction demon. We must guide the fallen into the light, not relish in the chaos."
Ezekiel proclaimed that they had to destroy most of the human's local government and armies to ensure global peace. There were still several pockets of resistance that didn't trust the Overseers, this left Klarion to cause trouble for them and destroy anything that would ruin his fun on this Earth.
"We should keep things firm and tight with how things are going for here, including taking care of any resistance that might appear and try to ruin everything. With that being said, let's drink."
Homelander Prime stated as he pressed a button which brought in several maids and waiters coming in with beverages for the team to celebrate their rule over the city and numerous parts of the country. With that being said, the Supe leader and witch boy took a moment to look outside seeing what they had built together. Smiling at the sight of the streets filled with Supes that were loyal to him along having several monuments built in his honor, this was what he had desired when he was shown the truth from Klarion's comic book.
"You know. For a demented kid who isn't a kid but a demonic nut case, I thought you'd want statues like mine. Maybe posters but a statue none the less."
He asked that while they had destroyed cities that refused their rule, killing presidents and leaders of resistance in their wake to that of proving their authority to the people. Klarion would want something that showed his reputation for being the chaos maker as well have a legion of followers for witnessing his display of the arcane arts. The blue skinned boy laughs subtly toward the man since he believed he wanted to be seen as an icon for the people.
"Please. That's your still, all I'm here for is to cause complete utter chaos. Along have a good time with people who know how to destroy a city or two."
The witch boy proclaimed that he wasn't interested in the wealth and glory. All that made this enjoyable was no one standing in his way and having people to have fun with and enjoy his sense of amusement, it felt perfect for the two with what they had accomplished. Suddenly as he was enjoying the view, Klarion dropped his glass which shattered on the ground along making Teekl move and the other Overseers notice him shaken up.
"Shit. First time I've seen him broke glass was when he made half of the Niagra Fall into ice and had it smash into an army."
Webweaver joked as the lord of chaos sensed something happening that made his body twitch. Homelander Prime noticed how he was acting as he forced the maids and waiters to leave the room as Klarion walked over to the table and slams his fist on the surface. The Supes in the room felt the room getting cold as Klarion's eyes turned red and his expression becoming full of anger.
"How? How. How, how? I was carefully, I kept this earth away from them. Keep it hidden, keep it secret. But those joy killers are right on our heads."
He seethed with rage before making the monitor change to show an image that showed another Earth with Bizarro along with his friends and family coming together. More importantly, three magic users that would be able to sense his presence as well as see what he had created away from Prime Earth.
"Isn't that Maeve chick we killed several years ago? Along with Black Noir, Starlight and Crimson Countess? The fuck."
Tek Tyrant questioned as one of the things that Klarion convinced of Homelander Prime and the Overseers of doing was to take out the Supes that were responsible of his downfall and sanity. Seeing this made Prime realized that what Klarion was showing was the same one that his counterpart was killed on, which meant this was the world that he was beaten by Starlight. Looking over to the wall where they hung the remnants of their fallen enemies, taking a moment to think about this. He grows a smile at this being an opportunity of a lifetime.
"Payback."
He spoke which caught the attention of the others as well as Klarion who had managed to calm himself down when he heard what Homelander Prime had said. Walking over to look at the projection with the numerous Meta's and Supes together, it felt like another chance to prove how powerful they were than anyone around them.
"If Klarion is sensing another world that could be a threat to us. Why not pay them a visit? Make sure they don't fuck with our world. Who knows? Maybe make our empire bigger. It'll be fun to get our hands dirty again, right?"
Asking his team as each of them had mixed expression about invading somewhere they barely knew about to that of fighting Supes that they had killed in the past. Most of them were on board while others ere against it, though it barely matters to Homelander Prime since all he was thinking about was getting revenge on Bizarro and Starlight for humiliating him back in the comic. They heard a cough from the side where the Overseers saw Klarion desiring to have a say in the matter.
"If we're going to launch this rather amusing incursion. I'd suggest we bring several playmates of mine in, it's always fun to add several additions to the group."
The witch boy declared as his cat rushed up to his leg and into his arms the door behind him opened up to show several members hidden in the shadows that were new to Homelander and the others. They seemed to be from Klarion's world and were more than eager to help out in conquering the other Earth. With the team now having more members and a plan, Homelander Prime was more than excited to meet the world that viewed him as a joke to see him as the ruler that he was meant to be.
