God is Dead! ...And was Reborn in Another World (HS DxD - Let Justice Be Done AU - Chapter 1)

He Is YodFire, HehWater, WawAir, HehEarth.

YHWH. Yahweh. El. Elohim, and many more.

And He is dead.

Or rather He definitely should have been.

Yet looking at the shocked, surprised, hopeful, and tearing faces of His children, of His Seraph definitely put a stop to that idea.

He distinctively remembers his battle against the Beast of Suffering. Things surprisingly worked out even better than He had hoped. True, resting so many factors on various different actors would normally be a recipe for disaster, but He was nothing if not a skilled multitasker.

Raguel, Vivian, Michael, Galahad and so many more. So many people-Angels, Humans, Halfs, even Devils-all had to work together is specific ways to create that one moment.

All so He would be able to slay Trihexa once and for all.

And with that, it should have been the end. Yes, He held on to meet Raguel one last time and reassure him.

Raguel... He really placed quite the burden on that child, but thankfully he prepared him for it. That boy really grew into his own as an Archangel, a father and a son He was proud of. If Raguel wasn't ready He would have discarded the original plan to find some other way, but all's well that ends well.

He had been ready to finally let go and become the Universe. It was time for His final farewell, and simply believe that his children, all of them, Angels, Humans, and yes even technically Devils, inherit the future.

Everything was going to eventually, through the trials and tribulations would be fine. ExE were fucked for when the time comes.

Let them try their bullshit conquest on His world and His children. All of them, each and every last one would be armed with power and virtue.

Still, this... puts a pickle in that.

"F-Father?" Michael broke the silence. "Is... Is that really you? And why do you look..." He turned away with a blush.

Ah, yes. Now He knew where He was.

It took a little application of His Omniscience to Look at the World in it's entirety. Gods with precognition and Future Sight, thought they felt something, but easily dismissed it as part of the constant shifting flow of the future. And without Him being here, Indra didn't get humbled. Oh well.

In the end, His return was still unknown.

Being so good that no one notices you, is one of His skills after all. For now at least, He'll announce his return later.

"Yes, Michael." He smile in joy at seeing His son again. It was a small smile, He wasn't one to emote too much, mostly because He was focused on so many things, but now it was habit. "I have return My child, as why my form is what it is?" He stood up, and looked at Himself as He walked among His children. "Because it is."

He looked like a tall buxom, silver-white haired woman in a long white robe.

It represented the end of his Individuation, Actualization and Ascension. The meaning is simply a reminder to be more kind than brave. To focus on compassion, protecting and healing others more than on bravery, to fight and slay evil. What's the point of destroying Evil if you don't promote the Good?

With a thought, He used His Tiferet to convey the meaning of His answer to His children. And their faces lit up in understanding, relief and joy at confirming, knowing it really is Him.

"Father!" Gabriel launched herself at Him, hugging Him with her might, fearing He would disappear.

"There, there, Gabriel. I have return, and I Am Here." He said as He rubbed her back and head.

His other children gathered up around Him, delighting in His presence, talking over each other, and simply utterly glad for His return.

Yet He still wondered how it had happened. He had died.

Is this maybe things just working out because He followed His own Path of Virtue correctly without deviation? Only influencing just the right things and no more, thus the Universe acted in mysterious ways of unknown causality to reward Him.

That would be weird. Consider He was usually the mysterious ways.

In the end, rather than just die, He was sent to another world.

...Raguel must never know.

Yes, His son does suspect that He lived on in some form, and He did leave some things around, mostly to help out here and there, but He truly didn't 100% know what will happen after He let go.

He would never hear the end of it, considering how many tropes He threw on Raguel over the years.

Looking at the Raguel version of his world, he was still in his shota looking form. Meaning the version of Himself in this timeline didn't prepare for His death, and like so many others either thought He'd overcome it, or ignored it.

"My children," He spoke letting go of Gabriel, but she held His arm, fearing to let go. He conjured a circular couch, and gestured for His Archangel to take a seat. "Sit with me. Tell me how things have been in My absence."

"Father, it's..." Gabriel tried to say.

"Father," Michael spoke in a solemn, guilt-full tone, and he kneeled in front of God with his head down. "I have failed you. The current situation is the worse it's ever been, please punish me for having-"

"Michael," YHWH spoke. "Please calm down, start from the beginning and go from there."

"Y-Yes." Michael said as he finally took his seat, opposite to God, his head still down as if reading out his sin and awaiting punishment.

And so Michael and the other Archangels brought God up to speed on the events of the world since His 'death'.

The ceasefire, the Cold War, the Devil Civil War, the Evil Pieces.

Yep. YHWH's lips fell to a flat line. As if he needed more evidence, this was the world of DxD as it originally happened.

Looking at His children in this timeline, they were so much weaker without Him around. Although there were more Angels here than He had in his world. At least until he made Radueriel, that should take care of the Angel population problem later on.

These version of His children weren't made with the Sephirot power system. They can't exactly grow, although their maximum capacity is much higher when He's around. He supposed His counterpart made them that way as it was cheaper on energy and time, and allowed the Other Him to make much, much, much more Angels.

Honestly the only reason why they were a threat to Devils were numbers and type advantage. Fallen Angels were more of a threat to Angels, even with a weaker Light, due to experience and familiarity with his own Angels. However due to having a weaker Light, Devils can just overpower Fallen Angels.

Holy shit, it's literally rock, paper, scissors. He didn't facepalm. Things weren't that cut clear in his version of this world.

And now I have to deal with this softcore hentai setting. He sighed. Now then, what to do about the Reincarnated Devils?

Should He go with His original plan of just unsealing all the beings within the Sacred Gears, thus making them inert? Sadly no, this world doesn't have the same preparation as His one did.

Should He do nothing, since it all sorta worked out in the original timeline? Also no. Doing nothing while He knows there is Evil is against his very being.

He sighed again.

"I'm sorry, Father!" Michael said quickly, falling to his knees again, as he finished his report, and misinterpreted His Father's sigh as disapproval.

Well, He did disapprove of Michael's actions but that wasn't why He sighed.

There is so much to do.

"Michael," He stood up and kneel to be eye-level with His child. "Do you know what your mistake is?"

"I let the Church have too much freedom that they become corrupt. I let the Devils steal Humans and didn't help them after I found out because I feared this peace would shatter. I, I... I was too uninvolved. I wasn't strong enough, I'm so sorry." Michael cried, tears running down his face.

"Michael," YHWH spoke gently. "Those are the consequences, not the mistake itself." He said to the confusion and further guilt of His son. "Your mistaken was to not fully commit to lead after I was gone."

"W-What!? But, but, I could never try to replace you! I would never fall to such pride." Michael said in horror and fear.

"It wouldn't have been pride." YHWH shook His head. "It would have been you carrying such duty, so as to protect your siblings, Heaven and mankind. Besides, I'm sure that had you done that, you'd have instantly let go of the crown to me the moment I returned."

"Of course!" Michael shouted, as if there would have been any doubt.

"Then there we go. I understand that you were grieving, that you were hurt, and I am sorry for causing that pain, but you can not allow sorrow to hold you down forever." YHWH said, to which the Archangels tried to deny that He caused them pain, but He raise a hand and they quietened down. "When one makes a mistake, they acknowledge it, I raised you to know that." He said, making them look away in various stats of blushing and shame at making such a mistake. "Do you understand now, Michael?"

"Yes, Father." Michael said, looking ashamed.

"Then I forgive you." God said as he kissed His son's forehead. Michael's face was blazed red. "Now, then first things first. Call up a meeting with the..." He frowned as he sensed something happening within the Church. A sham trial that was going to condemn and innocent girl to a life of misery and debauchery. And while she does gain happiness later on, He can't stand by and do nothing.

And honestly, He always wanted to act a bit freely like He let Raguel do.

Oh sure, He was definitely weaker in this reformed body, and His maximum power was likely much lower than it originally was back home.

"Never mind, I'll go announce myself to the Church now."

"Wait, Father, what do you..."

But honestly?

Power levels are for chumps.

He took a step forward and disappeared, leaving His aura clear for His children to follow if they wished.

Which they are going to do. Oh well.

Asia Argento was crying as she stood in the Church's courtroom. The other priest were either silently judging her for her sinful actions, or decrying her as a witch.

The Bishop, Father Cardigan look down at her from his judge's chair frowning in disapproval. There was a gleam in his eyes of almost enjoyment, but surely that wasn't the case. Or if it was, would it matter that she was an evil witch to be punished.

How should she had known that the person she healed was a Devil? Yet, her Sacred Gear, her gift from God still obeyed her and let her heal him. Doesn't that just show her wicked nature?

Yes, that person revealed himself to be a Devil afterwards, but all he did was thank her and leave. Doesn't that mean he might not be a bad person? Or is she wicked for thinking that?

"Asia Argento, given the plethora of evidence and witnesses, there is no doubt to the crime you have committed. For consorting with Devils, and demonstrating clearly evil malicious abilities that didn't originate from God, I declare you to be excom-"

Someone fell through the roof, shaking the ground with their landing.

Then roof blew upward. As if a giant hand came up and ripped open from sheer power and pressure.

A giant aura of Power and Light filled the Holy Cathedral, as a being, an Angel? Someone radiating so much Holy Light that Asia and everyone present couldn't help but cry from awe, joy and guilt upon witnessing it.

"Declare?" He spoke, and in her heart of heart Asia knew who this person was.

But, it couldn't be? That was ludicrous. Why? For her... She wasn't worthy. But it couldn't be...

"Who are you to declare anything, Johnathan Cardigan?" He spoke, His Voice rising higher and higher. "Who are you to speak of Justice? Who are you to speak of Good and Evil? And you, all of you, you condone this!?" He spoke, and his angry Voice echoed through all Vatican City. "A girl acted on virtue to heal the sick, and you condemn her for it? None of you questioned why and how a Devil walked among you, unprotested and unseen by you. And worse of all, those of you with conscience or suspected foul play, none of you stood up against this injustice?"

The ground now quaked, and up in the sky, the Ten Seraphs appeared landing around this person, bowing their heads.

Their identity was no longer in question.

"For those of you who wrongly accused this child, Repent. For those of you who did nothing, Repent." Each 'Repent' was spoken with such echoing power, all those that once stood around Asia so tall, where now crouching on the ground begging for forgiveness. "And as for you child," God turned to Asia, patting her head as He gave her a gentle smile. "You have done nothing wrong. I'm proud of you My child and I love you." Asia's heart burst with joy as tears fell heavier from her eyes. All the guilty and self-loath evaporated from her hear.

"W-W-Who, I, I, G-G-G-" The bishop tried to speak, yet his whole being was shaking so much, he couldn't utter a full word.

"Johnathan Cardigan, when you finally walk the path of redemption and virtue, I will accept you into My embrace once more." God spoke finally addressing the bishop. Or, is he a bishop anymore? "Until then, get out of My house!"

God spoke and his Voice blasted the bishop off his platform, crashed him through the walls, out of the cathedral, his clothes ripped apart from the shock as he landed naked on the ground outside, covered in wounds and bruises, but still very much alive. And healthy enough to get up and run away screaming in terror.

"Now then, Asia Argento." God spoke.

"Y-Yes, L-Lord?" Asia was still shocked from everything, unsure of... everything. How is she suppose to speak to God, when God is right in front of her?

"You've been through a lot, let's go get you some ice cream."

"...Eh?"

"Um, Father?" Gabriel spoke.

"All of you are getting some too. Come on."

"Yay!" Gabriel jumped in joy!

AN: As you suspect, this is God from the Let Justice Be Done fic, if they got Isekai'd to normal High School DxD around canon time.
