Calem, the stranger walked up the road from his house and saw Serena's attempt to ride Rhyhorn.

"Hmm? Oh there's miss Grace and Serena and it looks like she's trying to teach Serena Rhyhorn Racing again. I wonder how the training is going so far?" He asked, not knowing what was about to happen next.

"WHOA AH AHHH." Serena said while being tossed around, Rhyhorn was currently bucking around the field with Serena riding him.

"Close your mouth! You don't want to bite your tongue." Grace said from the sidelines with Fletchling perched on her shoulder. "Remember Serena to ride a Rhyhorn, you must think like a Rhyhorn." Serena heard her while holding on for dear life. She never really understood what her mother was trying to tell her by saying that every time they're out here.

"I-I-I d-don't e-even kn-kn-know what th-that me-means." Serena struggled to say while still being thrown around. While Serena wasn't enjoying this, Rhyhorn looked like he was having the time of his life.

"I've competed in many Rhyhorn races before, and you can too just hold on and be one with Rhyhorn!" Grace said with encouragement hoping her daughter can manage. But after that things didn't go so well as Rhyhorn bucked hard enough to launch the girl right off and she landed head first at her mother's feet as she and the other Pokemon look on in shock.

"Ooh. That's gotta hurt." Calem winced from the sight.

"Or not." Grace said.

Serena then picked herself up, with dirt on her face and marks, scratches and bruises on her body. She then turned towards her mother and Pokemon, balling her hands into fists with a sickly sweet smile on her face. This caused alarm bells to go off in their heads.

"Mom?" Serena said in a overly sweet tone that didn't fit the overall situation.

"Yes dear?" Grace nervously said.

"Can I tell you something loud and absolutely clear?" With the same tone, Serena asked as her smile became strained.

"Of course Serena. What would you like to say?" Grace reluctantly responded. Her Pokemon then slowly start backing away.

Enraged, Serena started talking.

"Just four words..." Serena's expression then changed to one of pure fury with a fiery aura forming around her now knowing not to get on her bad side.

"I HATE RHYHORN RACING!" Serena shouted at her mother and inadvertantly her Pokemon as well who were visibly shaken and frightened with them crying from the outburst and fiery background behind her.

"Maybe that's enough practice for today." Grace said, sweat dropping. They then packed up.

Back with Calem, he started to sweat drop.

"Judging by that reaction, I'm guessing that it's not going to go well anytime soon." Calem said, laughing nervously.

Before returning home, Serena spotted someone standing in the distance.

"Go on ahead, I need to find out who that person is." Grace nodded and headed back alone.

Calem then noticed Serena headed towards him.

"Excuse me." Serena ran over to the stranger. "But do I know you from somewhere?"

"Don't recognize me, huh?" The figure stated. "I live right next door to you, Serena."

"Calem?! Wow, it's been a while hasn't it." Serena said. "Time sure flies by quickly, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, can't believe it's already been eight years since Prof. Oak's Summer Camp in Pallet Town." Calem said, reminiscing about the past.

Meanwhile in the streets of Lumiose City Ash, Andrew, Clemont and Bonnie were running to Prof. Sycamore's lab with a injured Froakie in Ash's arms.

"Hang in there Froakie we're almost there." Ash said while running, he then looked back and noticed Clemont was falling behind.

"Clemont run faster!" Bonnie shouted. She still couldn't believe her brother was lacking in stamina.

"Oh I'm running as fast as I can, don't wait up keep going." Clemont panted as he tried to keep up, but felt like it was hopeless.

"Right Clemont." Ash said before heading to the lab.

"I can't believe how slow my brother is." Bonnie said as she headed off with the other two.

Outside the lab, hanging off a tree the Team Rocket trio was feeling the sting of defeat.

"Uh that twerp is a lot stronger." Meowth said, still feeling the pain from Pikachu's thunderbolt.

"And that Pikachu's power has increased." The man said.

"All the more reason to catch it, for Team Rocket!" The woman said.

"For Team Rocket!" The man and Meowth said, before they heard what sounds like running and panting.

"Hurry Ash, the Sycamore Pokemon lab is this way!" Bonnie said as they approached a white building with a orangish red roof and it seems that the roof was made out of glass.

"Huh, so this is a Pokemon lab." The man said.

"There must be all sorts of powerful Pokemon in there." The woman said.

"All ripe for the taking of Team Rocket's gain." Meowth said as they plan to sneak into the lab.

As they walk in, Ash, Andrew and Bonnie look around in a area that seems to be a foyer. There were shelves of books all around. Everything seemed to be very well organized.

"Hello Prof. Sycamore? Are you here?" Ash called until he heard footsteps coming from the hallway.

"Yawn, coming." A figure appearing to be in his late twenties said. He was wearing a lab coat and under it was a violet long-sleeved shirt and long black dress pants. He then noticed the Pokemon Ash was carrying.

"Froakie, no." The professor said, concerned about the small blue frog.

"You know this Froakie, professor?" Ash asked, equally concerned.

"I do, Sophie come quick." A woman also in her late twenties came into the room to help Froakie.

"Right, I'm on it." Sophie said before taking Froakie to another room.

"Is Froakie going to be okay, professor?" Ash asked with some concern.

"Don't worry, Sophie is the best at what she does." Prof. Sycamore replied, relieving Ash.

"So does that Froakie have a trainer, professor?" Ash asked.

"It did, but not anymore." The professor answered.

"Wait, what do you mean not anymore." Ash said, shocked by his response.

"His trainer contacted me, to let me know that he wanted to give Froakie up." The professor replied.

Ash was shocked. How could someone give up such a noble Pokemon like Froakie.

"But why would anyone want to give up Froakie." Ash questioned.

"Perhaps this is better explained over some tea." The professor said, inviting them to the next room. Before heading in the front door and Clemont came in looking like he just finished a marathon.

"You're so slow." Bonnie said.

"Oh how's Froakie?" Clemont asked.

From there they continued where they left off.

"I haven't properly introduced myself, I'm professor Sycamore and I run the Pokemon research here in Kalos." The professor introduced himself.

"It's great to meet you I'm Ash Ketchum from Kanto and this is Pikachu." Ash said with Pikachu saying hello as well.

"Andrew Richardson from Sinnoh." Andrew introduced himself.

"Wait, as in the Sinnoh Champion!" Prof. Sycamore exclaimed, surprised to see a champion visit his lab.

"Us as well, I'm Clemont and this is my little sister Bonnie, and let me just say I'm a big fan of your research." Clemont said. He knew very well about the professor and his research on Pokemon evolution.

"Always nice to meet a fan, thank you Clemont and it's very nice to meet you Bonnie." The professor said.

Then Sophie walked in.

"Froakie's in treatment and is making a remarkable recovery." The woman said.

"That's great, thank you Sophie." The professor said. Everyone was glad that Froakie would be okay.

"Hey professor are there any other Pokemon in the lab at the moment?" Bonnie asked.

"Sure, Sophie can take you to the back to meet them all." The professor offered, and Bonnie happily accepted before heading off with the woman to meet all the Pokemon.

Everyone smiled before Clemont decided to question Ash about something.

"So Ash, care to explain?" Clemont asked with a stern tone in his voice.

"Explain what?" Ash wondered.

"You know exactly what he's referring to." Andrew replied.

"Who were those people, and why did they attack us?" Ash then grew cold. He had hoped to avoid this subject as he didn't even expect them to show up in Kalos, but he knew that because of him they got involved in the situation and he blamed himself. Ash sighed before talking.

"You're right, I do owe you an explanation. Well I suppose I could start by saying that their names are James and Jessie, and they are members of Team Rocket." Ash then explained who Team Rocket was and about their plans for world domination. He then explained how they prioritize rare Pokemon and sold them off to make money. Lastly he explained what happened to them while they were returning from Unova. Their boss Giovanni tried to control three mythical Pokemon to take over the world, only to be stopped by him and Drake.

"And that's it." Ash finished telling them the story.

"Wow, I didn't know you helped stop a evil organization." Clemont said.

"Actually my brother and I stopped four others before taking out Team Rocket." Ash confessed.

"Wow four, you're not an ordinary trainer Ash." The professor admitted, he couldn't believe a sixteen year old did all these things.

"I'm just someone trying to do the right thing." Ash said, like his brother he was never one for praise or glory. Then a large Pokemon came in. He was purple with huge claws and a tail. She also had what appeared to be fins below it's arms and one on it's back.

"Aw cool, a Garchomp." Ash said, walking towards it.

Garchomp saw it, but sensed no hostility and relaxed when Ash approached.

"Yep Garchomp lives here at the lab." Professor Sycamore said before standing up. Then a second Froakie entered the room. It was friends with the Froakie that's recovering.

"Another Froakie?" Ash asked.

"Gar, gar, gar." It said in it's own language.

"What's it saying?" A voice came from the side, it was Bonnie who was returning from the back.

"I think I know." The professor said. "I bet you're probably worried about Froakie, aren't you." Garchomp nodded yes.

"Don't worry, Froakie will be fine. You can thank these people." Garchomp stared at Ash and the others.

"It was no problem at all. In fact Froakie was the one who saved us." Ash replied. Garchomp nodded before heading to the hall leading to the foyer.

"So professor what kind of research are you doing?" Ash asked all of a sudden.

"What if I told you Pokemon have an extra evolutionary stage. What would you say?" The professor replied. Ash and Clemont were awestruck.

"What!? So you're saying that Garchomp can still evolve!?" Clemont exclaimed.

"Well, it's evolution in name only really." Andrew interceded. "Mega Evolution can best be described as a form change than natural evolution as a Mega evolved Pokemon reverts to normal."

"So you're telling me that it can change back? That's awesome!" Ash said, before asking another question. "So, what would one need to Meg-" Suddenly everyone heard a roar coming from the foyer.

"What was that!?" Clemont said.

"That sounded like Garchomp, come on!" The professor shouted.

In the room Garchomp was in extreme pain and there were three figures in lab coats.

"Huh Garchomp, what's wrong?" The professor asked while Ash said, "Alright, who are you!?"

The three removed their disguises and revealed everyone's favorite idiotic trio.

"Team Rocket!" Everyone shouted.

"Ha miss up twerp?" Jessie asked.

"Not even close." Ash spat out.

"Ha looks like we got the upper hand." Meowth said as he pointed at Garchomp. The group saw some sort of collar attached to Garchomp's neck.

"What have you guys done!" Ash yelled out.

"Simple, we attached that to Garchomp and it will now belong to Team Rocket." James said.

"You monsters!" The professor exclaimed.

"Aw, we're flattered by that." The trio said. Meanwhile Garchomp was still struggling and wound up hitting the wall, causing the collar to malfunction.

"Huh what's going on?" Ash asked.

"This means trouble." Jessie said.

"Come on Garchomp, stick with the program." Meowth said.

"Huh this is strange. The collar should be working." James said.

Not long after Garchomp fired a Hyper Beam at the trio, sending them through the wall and into the sky.

"AH NO FAIR!" They said as they blasted off.

Meanwhile Garchomp was still out of control. While everyone was trying to calm him down, it fired a few more Hyper Beams around the room. It then fired one more Hyper Beam into the wall Team Rocket went out of, making it bigger. It then jumped out into the street to cause havoc in the city.

"Wait Garchomp come back!" Ash said, but it was too late.

"Clemont what's gonna happen to Garchomp." Bonnie asked her brother with a few tears, worried about the dragon-type Pokemon.

"I'm going after it!" Ash shouted and ran out with Pikachu in tow.

"I am as well." Andrew followed.

"Bonnie, let's go too." Bonnie nodded and they went to follow the others.

"Please be very careful, Sophie go check to see if all the other Pokemon are safe." The professor said.

Sophie nodded and went to check on everyone. When she passed by Froakie's healing unit, she was shocked to find it empty.

"Huh, wait where's Froakie?" She asked.

Meanwhile on the streets of Lumiose Ash continued to chase Garchomp. While Ash was running, he, Andrew and Pikachu were horrified to find the city in ruins. Buildings were damaged, water and power lines cut, roads torn apart, the three felt sad that Garchomp did all this because it wasn't in control of it's actions. Along the way they ran into Froakie.

"Fro, Froakie, Fro."

"You want to help us?" Froakie nodded, then hopped on Ash's right shoulder and the four headed off.

The chase took them to Prism Tower. From there a news helicopter was covering the story.

"At this rate Garchomp is headed to Prism Tower." The reporter said.

Ash and Andrew then arrive to find a huge crowd surrounding the tower. From there police barricades had been set up to keep the public out. Then Clemont and Bonnie finally caught up with them and Clemont panting from the running.

"Guys."

"Clemont, Bonnie."

"Phew we finally caught up with you, so where's Garchomp?" Clemont asked.

"Up there." Andrew pointed to the tower. Garchomp then fired another Hyper Beam at the city.

Back in Kanto, Drake and Koga were in the middle of a discussion.

"Hmm." Drake lifted his head up.

"Something feels wrong, I need to head to Kalos." He added.

"I understand." Koga nodded.

"Pidgeot, let's go." Drake released the bird Pokemon and mounted it, having it go full speed towards Kalos.

Meanwhile in Vaniville Town Grace was sitting on the sofa, sipping a cup of tea when news of what's happening came on.

"Gasp oh my Serena come see this something awful has happened." She said. Meanwhile Serena was in the kitchen getting a fresh water.

"Oh really. Something awful did happen. To my face okay!?" She replied angrily. Her face was covered in bandages and had scrapes and bruises.

"Just come over." Grace said, brushing her daughter's comeback aside. Serena then came over and saw on the television an out of control Pokemon destroying a city.

"What movie is this?" She asked.

Grace then replied. "It's real and live from Lumiose City, something terrible is happening." Both continue to see what's happening.

Grace and Serena weren't the only people watching Garchomp's rampage on TV. Alexa and Viola were observing this from Lumiose Press. Nick and his Eevee saw it happening from a screen on the plane they had boarded.

Elsewhere Calem was also a witness, along with a young red-haired girl and her partner Chespin. In addition, three individuals the brothers and Andrew will encounter in the future noticed this occurring from a Pokemon Center.

At the same time, one of Drake's old traveling partners looked at the event unfolding in Lumiose City with her long time partner Gardevoir accompanying her.

Meanwhile back in Unova, a spiky blue-haired man and a brown-haired girl observed Garchomp going wild on their XTransceivers. Elsewhere in Johto, a young red-haired man watched what was happening courtesy of a device he received from Silph. Co.

Meanwhile Ash knew he couldn't wait around anymore.

"I've got to get up there." Ash said.

Clemont was trying to process what he heard.

"Wah, but that's dangerous." Clemont said.

"Not as dangerous as allowing Garchomp's rampage to continue." Andrew pointed out.

"Yeah." Ash agreed. "Garchomp is in danger and I'm going to save him."

Froakie couldn't believe Ash's statement, he would risk his life to save Garchomp. Clemont was in deep thought until a idea came to mind.

"Ha if you need a way in I know just the one, come on." Clemont said as he and Bonnie led him and Andrew to a secret staircase on the side of the building.

"It's a good thing I brought my backpack. Ha the future is now thanks to science. CLEMONTIC GEAR on Aipom arm go." Clemont said, and then a robotic arm extended from his bag to open the lock on the door.

As soon as the door was unlocked, Ash and Pikachu were impressed by Clemont's genius.

"Wow science is so amazing, pika." They said.

"Yep, it's my brother's invention." Bonnie said, praising her big brother.

"I must admit, I'm kinda good at these things." Clemont said, rubbing his nose.

As they were about to enter they looked up and saw a Hyper Beam heading right towards them. Everyone reacted quickly to avoid it. The blast caused the entrance to collapse with Ash, Pikachu, Andrew and Froakie separated from Clemont and Bonnie.

"Uh Clemont, Bonnie you guys okay?" Ash asked

"Yeah, we're okay Ash but don't wait for us keep going."

"Got it." They headed off to face Garchomp.

Meanwhile Officer Jenny and Professor Sycamore arrived on the scene, both looking at the tower.

"So Garchomp is on Prism Tower." The professor said and Officer Jenny nodded, but then someone in the crowd pointed.

"Look up there." A bystander said while another added. "Are those kids!?" Professor Sycamore and Officer Jenny looked up, recognizing the first one.

"It's Ash!" Both were shocked to say the least.

Meanwhile they were already on the platform facing Garchomp.

"Hey Garchomp." Ash said.

Garchomp responded by firing a Hyper Beam. The four jumped back to avoid it.

"Stop that." Andrew said.

A Froakie had joined the four in a attempt to help calm Garchomp down.

Meanwhile the news chopper was still covering the story. "It appears two boys are on Prism Tower. Could they be attempting to speak with Garchomp?!"

Back in Vaniville Town, Grace and Serena were still watching when this happened.

"I wonder if either one of them is Garchomp's trainer?" Grace wondered, but Serena was lost in thought about one of them. 'That boy with the hat, he seems familiar but from where?' She thought while watching the story.

Meanwhile back in Unova Hugh and Hilda each saw the news camera move closer towards the people on the tower and that's when they both simultaneously recognized the teen with a Pikachu on one of his shoulders.

"Wait, I think I...recognize him from somewhere." Hugh says remembering the person from a big event here in Unova not to long ago.

"Isn't that...?" Hilda said also remembering the person with the Pikachu on his shoulder from the same event that Hugh is thinking about at the same time.

"Ash Ketchum, the recent Pokemon World Tournament Champion from a while back here in Unova?" Hugh and Hilda both said at the exact same time. Then, they both noticed the person who was standing up on the tower next him Ash and immediately recognized the Sinnoh Champion. "Wait, Andrew's there too?" Hugh and Hilda said again at the same time.

"No way. It couldn't be him after all this time, could it?" Calem asked himself. He saw the news camera zoom in on the trainers on the tower and looked at Ash's face with some Z-shaped birthmarks.

Flashback

'My name is Calem Xavier.'

End flashback

"So it is you, Ash Ketchum and I also see you that you made it here to Kalos but not without some kind of trouble. I'm not sure if I can make it to Lumiose City in time to help. Luckily it looks like you have some help in the form of the Sinnoh Champion, Andrew Richardson to help back you up. Still be careful, Ash and please save Garchomp." Calem said also recognizing Andrew as the other person on the tower and wishing both of them luck

Meanwhile Ash was still trying to calm Garchomp with Froakie's help, but he had other ideas. Garchomp then gained some air and took off to the top of Prism Tower, leaving Ash and the others behind. Ash attempted to stop him but to no avail, the pair noticed a ladder on the side and began to climb it as everyone on the street noticed this and thought they were crazy for going after a rampaging Garchomp. By the time the two got to the top all three were locked in a standoff. Garchomp roared as they stood their ground.

"I'm here to help Garchomp." The news camera picked up on this.

"Incredible, they climbed to the top of Prism Tower." Serena was in a trance while trying to remember where she met one of the boys before the reporter suddenly spoke again, "Hold on WHAT IS THAT!?" She said as the camera was pointed at a very large object climbing the tower. This left Serena and her mother shocked.

The five continued to stare each other down when they felt the vibrations coming from behind them.

As Silver looks closely at the device, he recognizes both of them as one had a familiar Pikachu on his shoulder.

"Wait, I know them. That's Ash Ketchum and Andrew Richardson!" He said with a surprised look on his face.

They then recognize the type of machine climbing up Lumiose Tower.

"Wait, what is that thing on the tower?!" A shocked Calem asked.

"Oh no." Ash said, having a pretty good idea who it is. Then the chest part opened, revealing who they are.

"Oh yes, twerp." Team Rocket replied.

"Team Rocket?!" Hugh said.

"I thought that they were taken care of here in Unova by Ash, Drake and Andrew with the help of Dawn Berlitz." Hilda said.

"My so-called father is in jail with most of Team Rocket. So how are...?" Then all 3 of them come to a realization.

"Unless it's those 3 idiots again!" They said together.

"They're still chasing after them?!" Hugh exclaimed.

"Ugh. Don't they ever learn?" Hilda asked.

"Team Rocket is disbanded. Still, I can't believe that they caused this much damage to that city for just a few Pokemon. Who knows what else they might do if they're this desperate?" Silver asked.

"I swear, haven't you guys caused enough problems for one day." Andrew muttered. "Whatever, we don't have time for this."

"The feeling's the same, twerps." Jessie said. "Now if you'll excuse us, we've got some Pokemon to steal."

"I don't think so. Say hello to one of my companions." Andrew took out a purple and white Poke Ball of his pocket and a long black dragon with yellow markings emerged, before floating behind him.

When one of the robotic arms tried to grab Pikachu and Ash's Froakie, it was destroyed by a Hyper Beam attack after a ball of energy impacted against them.

"Alright, who dares to stop us!" The trio exclaimed.

"That would be me." An unknown voice said. Coming from the antenna on top was a person in a black suit. He wore black googles to cover his eyes and a face mask to cover his mouth leaving only his forehead visible. He was wearing an all-black suit that looked lightly armored and you can tell it was high tech.

"Who's the guy in the black suit?" Calem wondered.

"Wait, where did that Hyper Beam come from?" Hugh asked, seeing the black-suited figure onto of the large Pidgeot fly down in front of the machine.

"He must be the one who called the attack." He added.

"But who is he." Hilda said.

Silver is standing there pondering who the person is that saved everyone, their questions are answered immediately when the figure pulls his mask off to reveal...

"Who are you?" Ash asked, from there the man spoke while removing his mask.

"What you don't recognize me in a mask, little brother?" He asked, revealing himself to be Ash's older brother Drake.

"I know that face, that's Ash's brother Drake!"

"Drake!" Ash said ecstatic.

"Wait a minute, I know that hairstyle. After all this time, it couldn't be him right?" A stunned Diantha asked. Then the mask was completely removed, exposing more of his face.

Flashback

"I'm gonna miss you Dinah." A younger Drake told a younger Diantha.

"Drake, it is you." Diantha said as Gardevoir recognized Drake as well along with another one of the three.

"Wait a minute, what is Andrew Richardson doing in Kalos?" Diantha questioned. "With both of them here, I need to find them ASAP especially Drake. All of us have some catching up to do." She then noticed Ash and his Pikachu also on the screen.

"I have a feeling I'll be seeing this one soon enough. Just by looking at him, I can tell he's very strong. Strong enough to potentially challenge me and Gardevoir at full power." Gardevoir also sensed Ash's potential, but doesn't know how great it will be at the moment.

"I should have known that. Whenever Ash and Andrew are involved in anything, Drake is sure to not be far behind." He said with a smirk.

Team Rocket tries again with their machine's other arm but that one gets hit with a Flamethrower.

"What?! Who dares to get in our way?!" Jesse angrily asks.

"I do." A voice said with the owner jumping down next to Drake revealing himself to be a man with a Blaziken Mask and a Blaziken though it looked very different from other Blaziken landing right next to his trainer.

"Who's the guy in the Blaziken Mask?" Hugh said.

"Wait, is that a Blaziken? I've never seen one look like that before." Hilda exclaimed.

"Of all the encounters I've had with trainers with a Blaziken beforehand, none of them looked like that one ever. Could its new look have something to do with the Kalos region somehow?" Silver thought staring directly at the Pokemon.

Drake wasn't the only person that saved them. Standing right next to the elder Ketchum was a figure with a Blaziken mask covering his face.

"Wait, that's Blaziken Mask and that's Blaziken's Mega Evolution." Calem remarked recognizing the masked man and Blaziken's Mega Form.

"I won't let you take any Pokemon." Blaziken Mask declared.

"We now see that there is some sort of standoff right on top of Prism Tower." The reporter said.

As Silver looks closely at the device, he recognizes both of them as one had a familiar Pikachu on his shoulder.

"Wait, I know them. That's Ash Ketchum and Andrew Richardson!" He said with a surprised look on his face.

"This is getting stranger and stranger, now there's another person there as well." Grace said, very confused about what's going on while Serena looks like she's really lost with the story now. First she sees a boy she may know, and now a dragon, black suited man, someone wearing a Blaziken mask and a giant robot. She's now as clueless as her mother.

"Boy am I glad to see you here, man." Ash said.

"Huh, are you kidding? When I got here I had already heard about what's happening, and knowing you, you wouldn't stay far behind." Drake explained.

"Huh, you read my mind." Ash said, all surprised.

Then, Drake approached the robot and spoke. "So the psycho's keep getting stupider huh? I should've known you three were still part of Team Rocket's little club."

"Ha, our loyalty didn't change back then and it won't change now." Jessie said.

Then Garchomp roared loudly to catch Ash's attention while the robot looked like it was going to attack and caught Drake's eye. The brothers were back to back feeling cornered.

"Fro, Fro." Froakie stated.

"You're that second Froakie we encountered in Prof. Sycamore's lab earlier." Andrew noted.

"Fro, Fro." Froakie told him he wants to make Team Rocket pay for causing this mess in the first place.

"So, what's the plan?" Ash asked.

"Only one." Drake replied.

"Save Garchomp, we'll deal with the robot." Andrew added.

"How do you plan on doing that?" Ash asked them.

"Trust me, I have a plan." Drake said.

While Ash was busy trying to talk Garchomp down, the other two approach and present a pair of staffs.

"Ha, sticks against us." Team Rocket laughed.

"You won't be laughing for long." Andrew countered.

The robot made a attempt to grab Drake, but he dodged by jumping on the arm. This was before the robot used his other hand to flick Drake off.

"Ugh man, that's smarts." Drake said, trying to recover from the hit. The robot then tried to grab him again, but he was fast enough to dodge. Drake grunted, as they had their work cut out for them.

Meanwhile Ash dodged another Hyper Beam from Garchomp, as he was still trying to reach him.

"Garchomp listen to me I know you're in pain, but calm down so I can help you, please." Ash said.

Meanwhile Drake was still struggling to get to the robot, but came up with a idea. He stood on the left end of the platform, as the robot tried to punch him with it's left arm. Drake then repeated the process on the right end and the robot wound up getting confused and stuck.

"HUH HOW!?" The trio said. Drake then turned his staff clockwise and broke it into two pieces, then climbed up the arm and jumped high up before placing the sticks into the robot's chest. Drake then used his aura and forced the cockpit open with his hands. Froakie then uses it's frubbles to trap Team Rocket in their seats.

"Hello." Drake smirked. "Raichu, now!"

After that, a dark yellow mouse Pokemon charged up from the antenna and fired a thunderbolt. Froakie also charged up a Water Pulse.

"Huh, what!" The trio said, now suddenly scared.

"Oh, and one last thing." Drake said.

The scared trio looks towards him and started shaking in their boots.

"Fro, fro." Froakie said.

"First, I hear that you're the ones who put my friend in the condition he was in back at the lab and now because of you trying to target him for revenge, Garchomp is in a lot of pain and went on a rampage through Lumiose City. You crossed the line and made me mad and now you're going to pay dearly for all of this big time!" Meowth translated what Froakie said.

"Welcome to the Kalos Region." Andrew added.

Drake retracted his sticks and back flipped off at the last second before both attacks struck the trio, shocking them and sending them flying in addition to destroying their mech. As Drake was free falling, a Poke Ball opened up and his Pidgeot came out. Drake mounted it.

After the day was saved from Team Rocket, Calem had one thing on his mind.

"Man, that was a close call but at least nobody was hurt in the process. Still, I can't believe Ash made it to Kalos along with Drake and Andrew and it's been so long since I've seen him in person. He must be here to take on the Kalos League and if him and Drake are here traveling with Andrew, then that would mean that Nick will also be coming here too for similar reasons and there's no way that meeting with Serena today was a coincidence. If everyone's coming here to Kalos for a reunion, then I know what I must do: It's time for me to go on a journey to find them and I have a feeling that'll lead me straight to the Kalos League."

"Thanks, buddy." Drake said.

"No problem." The bird replied to his trainer. But Drake knew he wasn't out of the woods just yet as debris fell from the sky.

"Look out!" Drake said as Pidgeot dodged all the debris as best as it could, but he noticed one big piece was coming.

"Pidgeot?" Drake said nervously.

"Hang on." It said as it charged up and then

Whoosh, boom

Pidgeot then burst fast enough that everyone from below thought they just heard a sonic boom which was fast enough for them to avoid the giant piece of debris.

"Ah." Drake screamed as the wind hit his mask. Then Pidgeot stopped to see if his passenger was alright and Drake nodded yes.

"Alright let's go see if Ash needs help." Pidgeot nodded as he flew back to his trainer.

"Please let me help you, come on what do you say?" Ash asked while trying to calm Garchomp down. Everyone from below and watching on TV watched on at what was going to happen next. Garchomp regained control for a brief moment before the collar made him back up to the edge.

"WAIT GARCHOMP LOOK OUT." Ash shouted, but then Froakie threw it's frubbles at Garchomp's feet, immobilizing him. Ash then rushed towards Garchomp and held onto him from the front while Pikachu latched onto his head. Garchomp tried to shake them off but to no avail.

"I..PROMISE..I WILL..SAVE..YOU!" Ash yelled out as he yanked the collar off with all his might.

Ash and Pikachu fell off as Garchomp regained it's senses and collapsed to it's knees, feeling spent.

"That must have hurt, help is on the way okay." Ash said, while trying to help Garchomp. Then Drake, Pidgeot and Andrew finally joined Ash and the others.

"Looks like we got here just in time, everything okay?" Drake asked, dismounting Pidgeot and Raichu landing right next to them.

"A-okay Drake." Ash replied. Suddenly Pikachu stepped on an unstable part of the platform that broke off, causing Pikachu to fall.

"PIKACHU!" Ash yelled before running to the edge.

"Ash wait!" Drake shouted, but it was too late as he already dove off to save Pikachu.

"ASH NO!" They all say along with everyone else.

"Heh, here we go again." Drake said, before diving after him.

"Go!" Andrew ordered after running to the edge and seeing the three fall and the black dragon flew down after Ash and Pikachu.

Everyone saw this and gasped in horror, not seeing a Pokemon cry out and swoop down beneath Ash and Pikachu.

"Oh no are they insane?!" Grace said terrified, while Serena was unable to say anything as she was frozen in fear as tears left her eyes.

Ash then grabbed Pikachu while in mid fall and then waited for the impact, which never happened as they looked down and found themselves sitting on a dragon's back.

"That was close." Ash started to sweat, after this close call. He was then flown back to the top.

"That was a close call. But still..." Hugh said.

"With Team Rocket especially those idiots involved, they might try again harder next time." Hilda said.

"If they've gone to this much lengths, someone else might potentially get hurt in their antics. That's why..." All together say: "I must get Kalos right away." Hurrying off to Kalos by the nearest airport by them.

"Man...some...first...day...huh." Drake panted.

"Tell...me...about...it." Ash said.

"So Team Rocket is here." Drake said, feeling a bit better.

"Yep and don't ask, I was surprised to see them as well." Ash replied.

Suddenly, a bright light flashed on the three. They were blinded but noticed it was a news helicopter.

"There they are, three of the trainers that saved Lumiose City." From there the camera zoomed in on the three, as Blaziken Mask had already gotten off Prism Tower.

"Wow they're either very brave or foolish, right Serena." Grace said, looking at the screen. Meanwhile Serena sat there surprised with her mouth open. She recognized one of the trainers from her past.

Flashback

"Don't give up until it's over, okay?" A younger Ash Ketchum said.

Serena thought until something broke her trance.

"Serena." Grace said. "Honey, are you okay?" She continued.

"I know him." Serena said.

"Him, the trainer with the red cap and Pikachu." Serena said.

"Really how?"

"From back then, back during Prof. Oak's Pokemon Summer Camp, that's Ash, Ash Ketchum." Serena said happily.

"The boy you used to talk about from before." Grace said, she remembered her talking about this boy non stop. From what she said she spoke about him as if he was her hero.

"Wait is he the friend you stayed with while I was racing in Kanto after you attended that summer camp?" She asked.

"Yes he was." Serena said then saw her yawn.

"Well you can explain it to me during breakfast tomorrow morning. I'm heading to bed, finish up and head to bed too okay." Grace said.

"Okay."

As Grace headed to bed, Serena stared at the screen of a picture of a close up of the three, but was really only concerned about Ash.

"Wow I can't believe you're finally here." She then came to a conclusion. "I've decided, I'm gonna find you Ash." Serena said with her hand directly over her chest.

After Serena makes her promise to go find Ash, she goes over to a another part of the room where she sees a collection of framed photos on the wall with a tall dresser with 4 picture frames with photos of all together in them along with a younger Ash, Nick, Calem and Serena among them with a very ornate designed wooden box in the center of them. She walks over to the box and opens it, revealing a handkerchief inside folded up into a large triangle. She takes it out of its box closing it staring at it for a couple moments and takes it to her room getting the backpack that she'll be traveling with tomorrow and puts it inside making sure that it's zipped close. Serena puts the backpack next to her clothes, goes back to her bed getting under the covers and turns off her light. After putting her head on the pillows, Serena turns her head to a picture with her younger self with the younger Ash in front of their class with Nick and Calem to the sides of them.

"Ash." She says softly.

"Tomorrow, my journey begins." She thinks before going to sleep to be ready for tomorrow.

Meanwhile the three were still on top of Prism Tower with a light shining down on them.

"Well so much for a breather." Drake said before standing up. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah, let's go."

"Well I'm ready too...but that's not what I meant."

"Oh then what did you mean?" Drake then stood up and looked at the horizon.

"I mean are you ready to take Kalos by storm." He said.

"Ha, more than ready, I'm prepared." Ash said. The brothers shake hands in a brotherly manner. They went to the Pokemon currently resting on the side.

"Hey Garchomp, are you feeling well enough to get down." Garchomp nodded yes, then Ash and Drake mounted Pidgeot as it and the black dragon went to the street. There Prof. Sycamore and Officer Jenny approached them.

"Garchomp's gonna be okay professor." Ash said.

They then see a large group surrounding them.

"Oh no Ash get ready." Drake said as he prepared.

"For what?" Ash asked.

"This." Drake then raised his hand and whistled, signaling Pidgeot to take off and rose his arm up as Pidgeot grabbed him and Ash, then carried them away as Andrew and the black dragon made their escape. From there everyone approaching them groaned as they wanted to meet the three.

"Alright Pidgeot, drop us off at the lab." Ash said.

Pidgeot nodded and went to the lab. From there, they went inside to find the professor who was already waiting for them.

"Hey you guys, wow you guys are really beat up, are you alright?" The professor asked while looking at the three.

They were dirty, covered in cuts, scrapes, bruises, the brothers were bleeding from the nose and from some wounds on their bodies. Drake's suit was heavily damaged.

After the battle with Team Rocket, Garchomp thanked everyone especially the 2 Froakie and Pikachu, with a hug. The 2 Froakie were glomped with blushes forming on their cheeks.

"Yeah, we'll live." Drake said, extending his hand. "Drake Ketchum at your service." He introduced himself.

"I'm Prof. Sycamore, pleasure to meet you." He said, accepting the hand.

"Wait did you say Drake Ketchum! The Drake Ketchum? You're Kanto's regional champion." The professor said, astonished.

"Yes I am professor." Drake replied.

"Well it's a honor to meet you Mr. Ketchum, now do you wish to stay here for the night?" The professor offered.

"Well we could use a shower and a good night sleep, right Ash?"

"Yep." Ash replied.

"Don't worry, we'll talk in the morning professor." Drake said as the trio headed to a bathroom for a nice shower, they got themselves clean and dozed off for the night.

While they were getting ready for bed, Froakie was unable to sleep thinking about a dream he had while recovering from the injuries the other Froakie had received the other day.
