The Trio approached Rory and the doctor didn't hesitate in snatching his cell-phone right out his hand. "The sun's going out, and you're photographing a man and a dog. Why?" He demanded getting right into Rory's face.
Instantly Rory had a confused look on his face until he spotted Amy and he smiled. "Amy!" He said happily reaching out to give her a side hug, before glancing at Seraphina. "And of course Seraphina" He said reaching out to give her a hug too.
"Hi!" Amy greeted. "Oh, this is Rory, he's a...friend." Seraphina gives a confused look at that. "friend? Isn't he your boyfriend, you both are always kissing very enthusiastically." She says bluntly, making Rory blush and Amy stutter over her next words "well k-kind of..boyfriend."
The doctor can't help but smirk at how blunt the Nephilim is and how cute her face looked with her nose screwed up at the thought of kissing.. wait what? he shakes his head to clear they thoughts and interrupts them. "Man and dog. Why?"
It take Rory a minute to realise who he's talking to and his eyes widen. "Oh my God, it's him."
Amy grimaced knowing what was going to come from this conversation. "Just answer his question, please." Seraphina nods "yeah I mean world going to go boom soon." She adds in.
Rory couldn't help but protest at that and pointed at the doctor. "It's him, though. The Doctor. The Raggedy Doctor."
"Yeah, he came back." Amy said quietly, wanting to hurry this along considering the impatient look the doctor is wearing.
"But he was a story." He argued shaking his head. "He was a game."
The doctors patience snapped and he grabbed Rory by the collar, pulling him close to him. "Man and dog. Why? Tell me now." He demanded sternly, this move made Seraphina bristle, how dare he touch her friend like that, she doesn't care who he is, rude doctor. "Let him go" The doctor turns to look at her surprised at how angry she look and he hesitates slightly he opens his mouth to speak but she cuts him off. "No you don't get to be mean like that to my friend."
Rory and Amy aren't surprised at her tone they have seen plenty of instances of how protective she can be over the ones she cares for. The doctor lets Rory go, the last think he wants is for her to be upset with him, he looks at Rory. "Sorry but man and dog why?"
"Because he can't be there. Because he's..." Rory stuttered at first. "In a hospital, in a coma." Rory finally says but at the same time as the doctor. "Yeah" Rory agreed a little freaked out but the doctor grinned. "Knew it." The doctor said triumphantly. "Multiform, you see?" He turns to look at Seraphina and noticed she was much calmer and listening intently. "Disguise itself as anything, but it needs a life feed. A psychic link with a living but dormant mind."
Seraphina nodded "and taking the appearance of the coma patients is good link to take for him, they can't argue and the ones who is after him can't find him" She states grasping it all quickly.
The doctor nodded "thats correct Angel" at that moment the multi-form ahead suddenly turns to face them and snarled at them. The doctor walked a little closer. "Prisoner Zero." He greeted.
"What? There's a Prisoner Zero too?" Rory asked incredulously.
"Yes" Seraphina and Amy simultaneously say at the same time.
There was a loud electrical buzzing, they looked up and seen the large space ship with the giant eyeball seen before was flying over the green, obviously searching hard for Prisoner Zero, The doctor slid out the sonic Screwdriver, "See, that ship up there is scanning this area for non-terrestrial technology. And nothing says non-terrestrial like a sonic screwdriver." He held the sonic screwdriver above his head and presses it, and causes all the streetlights to explode, the car alarms go off and a poor woman's mobility scooter zoom off down the road. A fire engine goes past on its own, two tone blaring with firemen chasing after it, Seraphina smiles a little amused by the sudden chaos caused by the doctor's tool. "I think someone's going to notice, don't you?" The doctor smirked and gave a wink over at Seraphina as she giggled.
Prisoner Zero growled, so the doctor decided to try something else, he points the screwdriver over at a red telephone box, making the telephone box explode but as soon as he does that the sonic screwdriver sparked prompting the doctor to drop it onto the ground. "No, no! No, don't do that!" He whined as the ship started to move away.
"Look, it's going." Rory pointed out sounding a little relieved. "That's not what we what" Seraphina mutters, making Rory give her a look likes she's crazy.
"No, come back. He's here! Come back! He's here. Prisoner Zero is here. Come back, he's here! Prisoner Zero is..." The doctor trails off when, he spots Prisoner Zero melt into a squidgy substance and disappears down a drain.
Amy frowned as they watched it disappear. "Doctor!" She shouted as she turned back to look at him. "The drain. It just sort of melted and went down the drain."
Seraphina couldn't help roll her eyes at her redheaded human friend, what is it with having to state the obvious?
"Well, of course it did." The doctor deadpanned as he stared at the drain and sighs as he tries to think of what to do next. Seraphina watched him for a moment and the different emotions warring in his eyes, before moving a little closer to him, she reaches out and touches his arm, making him automatically look straight at her "okay what do we do now? I mean I don't think we should let the world burn yet."
The doctor gives her a determined look, yeah he will come up with a plan, he grabs her hand again in his, there's something about the angel that makes him feel good. "It's hiding in human form." He explains to them. "We need to drive it into the open. No Tardis, no screwdriver, seventeen minutes. Come on, think. Think!"
Amy continued to stare at the drain feeling a little creeped out "So that thing, that hid in my house for twelve years?"
Seraphina involuntarily shivered as she thought about how wrong that room was and now she knows why, it was a hiding spot for something very very wrong "yeah it was an extra housemate." She added, as the doctor looked down at her. "Multiforms can live for millennia." He revealed to them. "Twelve years is a pit-stop."
"So how do we drive a creature out in the open that can hide and wait for as long as it wants?" Seraphina questioned, the doctor gives a shrugs "Don't know yet. I'll figure something out, I always do that, I do a thing and it works out." He rambled to her a little. "Comforting" Seraphina murmured underneath her breath.
Amy whipped round to face the doctor she had enough of this chitchat. "So how come you show up again on the same day that lot do? The same minute!" She demanded.
"They're looking for him, but they followed me. They saw me through the crack, got a fix" the doctor explained. "they're only late because I am."
"Very late." Seraphina gives him a pointed look and he withers a little under it, he will definitely make being late up to her.
"What's he on about?" Rory whispers to the two girls, none of them get the chance to answer when the doctor points at Rory. "Nurse boy" the doctor stops right in front of Rory. "give me your phone."
Rory shakes his head "How can he be real? He was never real." He argued still in denial at what he was seeing.
"Phone. Now. Give me." The doctor demanded before he glances at Seraphina, and sees her look at his rudeness. "Please." He quickly adds, Rory handed him over the phone. "He was just a game. We were kids. You made me dress up as him." Rory muttered towards Amy.
Seraphina nodded. "Fun times.. though he didn't pull you off that well, he gave his best shot." The doctor smirks a little at her comment as he flicks through the images on the iPhone.
"These photos, there are all coma patients?" The doctor asked.
"Yeah. " the Rory nodded.
"No, they're all the multiform." The doctor corrected. "Eight comas, eight disguises for Prisoner Zero."
Amy frowns a little "He had a dog, though. There's a dog in a coma?"
Seraphina shook her head "No obviously not, the coma patient is dreaming." The doctor smiles down at her "clever angel, the coma patient is dreams he's walking a doctor, so Prisoner Zero gets a dog."
"Laptop!" The doctor cried out suddenly, "Your friend, what was his name? Not him" the clarified. "the good-looking one."
"Thanks." Rory said sarcastically, rolling his eyes a little offended.
"Jeff." Both Amy and Seraphina supplied at the same time, the doctor frowned slightly at the thought of his angel thinking the other boy is good looking wait his angel? Stop it doctor! He scolds himself.
"Oh, thanks." Rory groaned feeling even more insulted.
"He had a laptop in his bag." The doctor continued as he mimed the action with his hands "A laptop. Big bag, big laptop. I need Jeff's laptop."
"You two" he gestured to Amy and Rory. "get to the hospital. Get everyone out of that ward. Clear the whole floor." Before he turns to Seraphina and grabs her hand. "Angel you come with me.. oh Phone us when you're done." he adds glancing over his shoulder as he pulls Seraphina along with him.
The two of them made their way back into the Angelo house, still holding hands, they made their way up the stairs and the doctor burst his way into the bedroom, startling Jeff who was lounging on his bed, with his Laptop of his lap, Seraphina glanced around the room as she sat down on the edge of the bed, the doctor leaned over to wrestle the laptop off Jeff, "Hello. Laptop. Give me." The doctor demanded as he grabbed the laptop. Seraphina watched as Jeff tried to grab it back off him , she could feel the embarrassment and couldn't help but wonder why. "No, no, no, no, wait." Jeff cried keeping a grip of the laptop.
"It's fine. Give it here." The doctor eventually gets the laptop off him and sits down next to Seraphina, they both look down at what Jeff was browsing and Seraphina's eyes widen and she tilts her head to look at screen "Ew" she muttered, and the doctor quickly shut the sites down. "No not something an Angel like you should see." He turns to Jeff and shakes his head "Blimey. Get a girlfriend, Jeff." Making Jeff glance a little at Seraphina, the doctor catches the look "Not her." He tells Jeff flatly, making Jeff lower his eyes, Seraphina wonders what he means by that but her thoughts are quickly interrupted when Mrs Angelo comes into the room. "Gran!" Jeff complained exasperated.
"What are you doing?" His gran asked politely.
"The sun's gone wibbly, so right now, somewhere out there, there's going to be a big old video conference call." The doctor answered her as he typed on the laptop, Seraphina leaned on his arm to look at what he is typing, and he can't help feel tingles just from a mere touch from her, she could see symbols running down the screen as he worked. "All the experts in the world panicking at once, and do you know what they need? Me." He glanced up to give a smug look before adding "Ah, and here they all are. All the big boys. NASA, Jodrell Bank, Tokyo Space Centre, Patrick Moore."
"Oh! I like Patrick Moore." Mrs Angelo exclaimed.
"I'll get you his number. But watch him, he's a devil." He tells her brightly and Seraphina scoffed "oh I doubt that" considering her father literally was the devil.
Jeff frowned "You can't just hack in on a call like that."
"He just did." Seraphina stated bluntly, as six faces come up on the screen , he gives a grin at her blunt tone and she watches as he flashes a wallet to the people on screen. "Who are you?" "This is a secure call, what are you doing here?" The people on the screen started to demand.
"Hello. Yeah, I know you should switch me off, but before you do, watch this." He answered as he quickly typed, Seraphina watch as Patrick Moore on screen started to squint at something before he exclaimed. "It's here too, I'm getting it."
"Fermat's Theorem, the proof. And I mean the real one. Never been seen before. Poor old Fermat, got killed in a duel before he could write it down." The doctor continued to explain before looking at Seraphina. "My fault. I slept in." She couldn't help but laugh a little, things were just getting crazier and crazier and she was just loving it.
"Oh, and here's an oldie but a goodie. Why electrons have mass. And a personal favourite of mine, faster than light travel with two diagrams and a joke. Look at your screens. Whoever I am, I'm a genius."
"Yeah you are.." Seraphina blurts out, the doctor turns and gives her a bit of a flirty look and she blushes a little, he wanted to keep looking at that blush belonging to his Angel but reluctantly turned back to the screen. "Look at the sun. You need all the help you can get. Fellas, pay attention."
Some time had passed as they had been sitting in this room as the doctor worked "Sir, what are you doing?" One of the experts on the screen asked, as the doctor typed on Rory's phone. "I'm writing a computer virus." The doctor responded. "Very clever, super fast, and a tiny bit alive, but don't let on. And why am I writing it on a phone? Never mind, you'll find out. Okay, I'm sending this to all your computers. Get everyone who works for you sending this everywhere. Email, text, Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, radar dish, whatever you've got. Any questions?"
"Who are your lady friends?" Patrick Moore asks as he glances from Mrs Angelo and back to Seraphina. "Seraphina Morningstar" she informed him a little confused why he wants to know. Patrick gives an intriguing smile at her name and the doctor cuts in "Patrick, behave."
"What does this virus do?" Another expert cuts in.
"It's a reset command, that's all. It resets counters. It gets in the wifi and resets every counter it can find. Clocks, calendars, anything with a chip will default at zero at exactly the same time. But yeah, I could be lying, why should you trust me? I'll let my best man explain." Seraphina catches the doctors look towards Jeff when he says that and she rolls her eyes. "Jeff he means you."
"What?"
The doctor sighs and closes the laptop half way, "Listen to me." He says to him seriously. "In ten minutes, you're going to be a legend. In ten minutes, everyone on that screen is going to be offering you any job you want. But first, you have to be magnificent. You have to make them trust you and get them working. This is it, Jeff, right here, right now. This is when you fly. Today's the day you save the world."
Jeff gives a puzzled look "why me?" He asked.
"It's your bedroom." The doctor tells him passing him the laptop. "Now go, go, go." He grabs Seraphina's hand and pulls her out the room with him, before poking his head back into the room. "Oh, and delete your internet history."
They both make their way out of the house and into the street, "alright, now we just need to make our way to the hospital." The doctor stated looking around. "And fast."
Seraphina raised her hand. "Oh I can fly." He gives her a grin. "As much as I would love to see you fly Angel, I think we should go for something that won't attract too much attention."
The Nephilim nods and turns her attention to the fire engine. "How about that?" He quips an eyebrow at that but doesn't get a chance to reply when she drags him towards the engine, they both climb into it and he watches as she hot wires it. "How do you know how to do that.. doesn't seem like a very...Angel thing to do."
She glanced at him. "Not my first time commandeering a vehicle.."
"Oh?"
"Mmm yeah my friend Mels and I have been trouble before with another few vehicles... " Seraphina thinks of the car from earlier and the bus.. "stories for another time." She quickly states as the engine starts to run. He nods he wants to hear these stories "I will hold you to that."
The doctor switches sides with Seraphina, opting to be the one to drive the engine, they were halfway to the hospital when Rory's phone rang, the doctor was a little preoccupied so Seraphina reached over and pulled the phone out his pocket put it onto speakerphone. "Doctor, Sera?" Amy's voice comes through the phone. "What's up?" Seraphina asked her friend. "We are at the hospital, but uh we can't get through."
"Look in the mirror." both the doctor and Seraphina answered together. There was a pause and then Amy cried "Oh! Ha Ha! Uniform. Are you both on your way.. you'll need a car."
"Oh, Don't worry, I've commandeered a vehicle." The doctor cried out as he switched on the sirens, and Seraphina couldn't help but giggle a little as she hung up the phone, as they sped to the hospital, Seraphina took her time to study the doctor, his hair was messy and his clothes were awful, but by her grandfather did she find him so fascinating, plus she felt such a feeling every time they touched. The doctor was also studying her at the same time, with her dark hair and pink highlights through it, her dark eyes always look so intense, even when he met her first met, he especially liked her wit and bluntness, and also her loyalty towards the ones she loves, he couldn't help wonder what her wings looked like were they dark or light?
They are both broken out their thoughts when Rory's phone rings once again. The phone is once again put onto loudspeaker "Are you in?" He asked. "Yep.. so is prisoner Zero."
Seraphina frowns and both she and the doctor exchange worried glances. "You need to get out of there." They hear shouting and running on the other end of the phone. "Amy? Amy, what's happening?" They are met with silence and this time Seraphina speaks "Amy would you answer!"
"Uh We're in the coma ward, but it's here. It's getting in." Amy finally answered. "Which window are you at?" The doctor asked immediately. "What sorry?" Amy asked confused at the question.
"For the love of my grandfather, would you just answer him Amy!" Seraphina demanded impatiently. "First floor, on the left, fourth from the end." Amy answered back quickly knowing that Seraphina was starting to lose her patience, a loud crack and a roar come over the phone just before the call ends.
The doctor quickly pressed a button on the fire engine and aimed the ladder towards the window Amy had stated, he glanced at Seraphina "Angel text them and tell them to Duck." She does as he asks and types the message to Amy. Once the messsge was sent the Doctor crashed the ladder through the window of the coma ward, the doctor made his way up the ladder, with Seraphina behind, she could of was just flew up but what a thrill climbing up a fireman's ladder. Once he was in the room he reached over and helped her into the room.
"Right! Hello. Am I late?" The doctor walked over towards Prisoner Zero. "No, three minutes to go. So still time."
"Time for what, Time Lord?" Prisoner Zero asked mockingly.
"Take the disguise off. They'll find you in a heartbeat. Nobody dies." The doctor ordered.
"The Atraxi will kill me this time. If I am to die, let there be fire." Prisoner Zero retorted back with a smirk.
Seraphina scoffed at the evilness and Prisoner Zero turned his eyes in her and smirked, The doctor automatically stepped in front of her. "Okay. You came to this world by opening a crack in Space and Time. Do it again. Just leave."
Prisoner Zero brought his eyes back onto the doctor. "I did not open the crack."
"Well Somebody did." Seraphina added in thinking of the crack on Amy's bedroom wall and how awful it felt looking at it.
The doctor nodded "she's right." The doctors gaze locked with Prisoner Zero. "The cracks.. tell me."
Prisoner Zero grinned. "The cracks in the skin of the universe, don't you know where they came from? You don't, do you?" Prisoner Zero took the little girls voices speaking in a sing-song voice. "The Doctor and his Angel in the Tardis doesn't know. Doesn't know. Doesn't know!"
"Oi I'm not his angel!" Seraphina interjected, but she felt weird saying that for some reason. "Yeah she's not my angel." The doctor added, but he too felt weird saying that.
Prisoner Zero laughed ignoring them and continued "The universe is cracked. The Pandorica will open. Silence will fall." No one spoke until a clicking noise was heard.
"And we're off!" The doctor cheered as he pointed at the clock that was now reading as 0:00 "Look at that. Look at that!"Yeah, I know, just a clock. Whatever. But do you know what's happening right now? In one little bedroom, my team are working. Jeff and the world. And do you know what they're doing? They're spreading the word all over the world, quantum fast. The word is out. And do you know what the word is? The word is Zero. Now, me, if I was up in the sky in a battleship, monitoring all Earth communications, I'd probably take that as a hint. And if I had a whole battle fleet surrounding the planet, I'd be able track a simple old computer virus to its source in, what, under a minute?"
"Angel?" He turned around and just as he expected she would she passes him the phone over. "The source, by the way, is right here." At that moment a bright light shines through, and Seraphina smiled at the nervous look on Prisoner Zeros face. "Whoops.. looks like they found us."
"The Atraxi are limited. While I'm in this form, they'll still be unable to detect me. They've tracked a phone, not me."
The doctor and Seraphina couldn't help but share a grin. "Yeah, but this is the good bit. I mean, this is my favourite bit." The doctor says with a childish delight. "Do you know what this phone is full of? Pictures of you. Every form you've learned to take, right here. Ooo, and being uploaded." He scrolled through the phone. "about" he pressed a button "now."
Prisoner Zeros face remained impassive but the doctor gave a smug grin. "And the final score is, no Tardis, no screwdriver, two minutes to spare. Who da man?" He cried as he flung his arms out he was met with total silence, "Oh, I'm never saying that again." The doctor mumbled a tad embarrassed. "Fine." He sulked some more, Seraphina gives him a small pat on the arm highly amused at his antics and he smiles brightly at her for it.
Prisoner Zero laughed and interrupted. "Then I shall take a new form." He smiled at them evilly.
"Oh, stop it. You know you can't." The doctor retorted back not believing a word Prisoner Zero says. "It takes months to form that kind of psychic link."
"And I've had years."
Amy suddenly collapses to the ground and Rory races to her side "Amy!" Seraphina rushes over as well worried about her human friend. "No! Amy? You've got to hold on. Amy? Don't sleep! You've got to stay awake, please." Seraphina feels a rush of anger and her eyes glow she looks up at Prisoner Zero. "How dare you! How dare you hurt someone I care about." Prisoner Zero eyes widen and they have the good sense to step back. The doctor eyes widen at the glow in the Nephilims eyes and he can feel her rage, he reaches out to calm her "Angel.."
She turns to look at him her eyes still glowing, "Angel everything is going to be okay, we need to think calmly" she feels herself becoming calmer and the glow disappears, she turns back to look at Prisoner Zero and notices that he now looks like the doctor, the doctor turns to look as well and screws his face up "Well, that's rubbish. Who's that supposed to be?"
Rory stared at him like he's crazy. "It's you."
The doctor frowned and glanced at Seraphina. "Me? Is that what I look like?" She gives a nod "yip, can we get back to more important things please."
"You don't know." Rory asked confused despite his girlfriend being unconscious on the ground.
"It's been a busy day." The doctor replied. "Look it's a nice face but you know.. Amy."
The doctor can't help but grin at the fact she thinks it's a nice face, he stands up and gets a serious look on his face. "Why me, though? You're linked with her. Why are you copying me?"
"I'm not." A little Scottish voice replied, out from behind the clone of the doctor was Amelia pond holding the doctors hand. "Poor Amy Pond." It mocked. "Still such a child inside. Dreaming of the magic Doctor she knows will return to save her. What a disappointment you've been."
The doctor shook his head. "No, she's dreaming about me because she can hear me." The doctor leaned down towards Amy. "Amy, don't just hear me, listen. Remember the room, the room in your house you couldn't see. Remember you went inside. Seraphina and I tried to stop, but you did. You went in the room. You went inside. Amy, dream about what you saw."
"No!...NO...NOO." Prisoner Zero screamed as he turned back into his ugly original self. The doctor grinned. "Well done, Prisoner Zero. A perfect impersonation of yourself." The doctor taunted.
A light came in through the window and surrounded Prisoner Zero. "Prisoner Zero is located. Prisoner Zero is restrained."
Prisoner Zero gave The Doctor and Seraphina a look of distain. "Silence, Doctor and Angel.. Silence will fall." Prisoner Zero disappeared, this words still hanging over the two of them.
The doctor ran to the window looking out at the sky before coming back over to the others, his expression dark, he pulled out the phone punching in buttons.
"The Sun." Rory asked. "It's back to normal, right? That's, that's good, yeah? That means it's over." Amy started to stir and Rory reached down to help her up. "Amy. Are you okay? Are you with us?" Rory asked concerned. "What happened?" Amy asked. Seraphina rolls on the balls of her heels as she anxiously watches Amy. "Are you sure you are okay?" She asked worriedly. Amy gives her a small smile. "Yeah fine.. just tell me what happened."
"He did it. The Doctor did it." Rory responded back to her question happily.
"No, I didn't." The doctor corrected shaking his head as he holds the phone up to his ear.
"What are you doing?" Rory asked. "Tracking the signal back." The doctor explained before adding. "Sorry in advance."
"About what."
"The bill." The doctor answered before speaking into the phone. "Oi, I didn't say you could go! Article fifty seven of the Shadow Proclamation. This is a fully established level five planet, and you were going to burn it? What? Did you think no-one was watching? You lot, back here, NOW. Okay, now I've done it."
"Did he just bring them back? Did he just save the world from aliens and then bring all the aliens back again?" Rory asked, as he watched The doctor grab Seraphina's hand, she gives him a shrug. "Looks like it."
Amy follows after them with Rory just behind her. "Where are you going?"
"The roof. No, hang on." The doctor takes a sharp turn leading Seraphina into what looks like a changing room, she stands awkwardly wondering what's happening, as she watches him skim through the clothes. "So what's in here?" Amy speaks up from behind them.
"I'm saving the world - I need a decent shirt. To hell with the raggedy. Time to put on a show."
"You just summoned aliens back to Earth. Actual aliens, deadly aliens, aliens of death, and..." Rory states before trailing off. "now you're taking your clothes off. Amy, Phina. he's taking his clothes off."
"Turn your back if it embarrasses you." The doctor scoffed out not caring about the audience as he takes his shirt off and picking up a new one.
"Are you stealing clothes now?" Rory demanded. "Those clothes belong to people, you know."
Rory turned her back but then glances at Amy and Seraphina who both were still watching. "Are you two not going to turn your backs?
"No." Amy answered and Seraphina felt bad for Rory and she looks at Amy and gives her a chilling look. "Amy turn around." Amy's eyes widen and she does as she's told for once, Rory gives her a small smile of thanks, Seraphina however finds herself looking back at the doctor, she can't help feel a flutter inside her an unusual feeling as she watches him. The doctor smirks to himself he can feel her stare, there was something so intoxicating about his angel.. stop doctor focus on the aliens.
It was a few minutes late and the doctor was in a completely new outfit, and Seraphina had got to admit he kinda worked it well. The four of them walk out onto the roof to meet with the Attaxi ship.
"So this was a good idea, was it?" Amy asked slightly afraid. "They were leaving."
"Leaving is good. Never coming back is better." The doctor answered as he confidently strode up to the ship. "Come on, then! The Doctor will see you now." The giant eyeball drops out and starts to scan the doctor, before surprisingly starts to scan Seraphina.
"You are not of this world... and you are something else." It said the doctor and Seraphina.
"No, but I've put a lot of work into it." The doctor answered as he examines some of the ties he has, he glanced at Seraphina and holds one up. "Oh, hmm, I don't know. What do you think?" He asked and she shakes her head.
"Is this world important?" It asked.
Seraphina gasped at that "important? Yes , every world has some sort of importance in its own right!"
"What's that mean, important?" The doctor asked as he smiles a little at her answer, before tossing the tie, that she doesn't like back at Rory. "Six billion people live here. Is that important? Here's a better question. Is this world a threat to the Atraxi?" The doctor questioned, the Atraxi doesn't answer and the doctor continues "Well, come on. You're monitoring the whole planet. Is this world a threat?"
The eyeball projected an image of the Earth in between them, it turns clear before becoming filled with images of horrible wars, atom bomb, but then it shows people like the pope and Mahatma Ghandi, before it turns back to show the Earth.
"No." The Atraxi stated.
"Are the peoples of this world guilty of any crime by the laws of the Atraxi?" The doctor asked as he threw a some more ties over his shoulder. The globe once again shows more things like showing people celebrating different occasions.
"No." The Atraxi stated once again.
"Okay." The doctor declared. "One more. Just one. Is this world protected?" He held up one more tie towards Seraphina and she gives a nod to agree she likes the colour of it.
This time it's filled with horrible images of different creatures, a cyborg kicking out, round metal cannon shaped aliens, all different monsters. "Because you're not the first lot to come here. Oh, there have been so many."
The doctor started to fix the bow around his neck. "And what you've got to ask is, what happened to them?" The globe then started to show faces of different men, some old, some younger, but Seraphina noticed no matter the change of face the eyes of the men just seemed to get steadily and impossibly older.
The doctor finished straightening his bow tie and dramatically stepped through the last image he smiled cockily at the Atraxi "Hello. I'm the Doctor. Basically, run." The eyeball retreated quickly back to its ship and leaves, very fast.
Seraphina grins and skips closer to the doctor and grins at him. "You did it!" He grins back at her and pulls her into a quick hug, before he pulls away when he feels a burning feeling in his pocked and he pulls the TARDIS key out as it glowed.
She gives him one last knowing look before she dashes over towards Rory and Amy, "Is that it? Is that them gone for good? Who were they?" Amy asked as she turned to ask the one person who would know, but he's already gone, her smile drops from her face. "He's leaving! Sera he's leaving."
Seraphina runs after Amy as they get to the garden just in time to see the Tardis dematerialising, Seraphina sighs and wraps an arm around Amy. "Come on I doubt it's last we've seen of him."
2 years later.
It was two years since the doctor had appeared once again, Seraphina was sitting on the couch giggling as she watched Amy dance around the room "I still can't believe I'm getting married!"
Seraphina suddenly stopped giggling "do you hear that?"
Amy paused and she too could here the familiar whooshing sound outside. Amy ran to window and looked out before grabbing Seraphina by the hand and pulling her out the front door. There standing in Amy's garden once more was the police box and a figure standing in front of it. "Sorry about running off earlier." The doctors voice rang out and Seraphina could feel her hear flutter at the sound of his voice. "Brand new Tardis. Bit exciting." The doctor continued to the two girls with a grin. "Just had a quick hop to the moon and back to run her in. She's ready for the big stuff now."
He patted the box as Amy came to a stop in front of him pulling Seraphina along with her. "It's you." Amy whispered. "You came back."
The doctor huffed "Course I came back. I always come back. Something wrong with that?"
Seraphina rolled her eyes he's so oblivious at how late he is.
"And you kept the clothes." Amy asked surprised.
"Well, I just saved the world. The whole planet, for about the millionth time, no charge. Yeah, shoot me. I kept the clothes." He glanced over at Seraphina. "What do you think Angel?"
"I like the colour." She replied as she taps the bowTie and he grins. "Yeah. Bowties are cool."
"Are you from another planet?" Amy interjected and Seraphina has the urge to shake her for the stupid question. "Yeah." He answered.
"So what do you two think?" He asked them. "Of what." Amy asked back.
"Other planets. Want to check some out?"
"What does that mean." Amy asked.
"It means..." the doctor began awkwardly. "Well, it means come with me...both of you."
Seraphina's eyes light up and she goes to step near the Tardis, when Amy pulls her back to her side. "All that stuff that happened. The hospital, the spaceships, Prisoner Zero."
"Oh, don't worry" the doctor waved the concern off. "that's just the beginning. There's loads more."
"Yeah, but those things, those amazing things...all that stuff." Amy starts before giving him a furious look. "That was... TWO YEARS ago!"
The doctors eyes widen and he looked between the girls embarrassed. "Oh.! Oops."
"Yip."
"So that's... the doctor began before Amy cut him off. "Fourteen years!"
"Fourteen years since fish custard. Amy Pond and Seraphina Morningstar, the girl and the Angel who waited, you've both waited long enough." The doctor stated softly.
"When we were kids, you said there was a swimming pool and a library, and the swimming pool was in the library." Amy asked recalling what he said 14 years ago.
"Yeah. Not sure where it's got to now. It'll turn up. So, coming?"
"No." Amy cried and Seraphina frowned. "What why?"
"Because I grew up." Amy replied back.
"Don't worry. I'll soon fix that." The doctor remarked as he goes to open the Tardis door. "Wait!" Seraphina stops him and both he and Amy turn to look at her startled. "Are you okay Angel?"
"Yes but before we step inside.. we need to go next door.. first , so that I can introduce you to my uncle and Father and tell them first before I disappear in that beautiful box."
The doctor not normally one for meeting family, finds himself unable to say no. "Sure.." Amy can't help but smirk at what is about to go down.
They made their way into Seraphina's home, where they first find Seraphina's uncle Gabe sitting at the stool in the kitchen with smirk on his face "Hello, TimeLord ... big fan.." he cheekily tells the doctor holding his hand out to shake, the doctor nods and shakes his hand he's literally shaking hands with the archangel Gabriel, "nice to meet you." The doctor stuttered out.
Lucifer comes strolling into the kitchen. "Ah Seraphina, I thought you were staying with Amy today, considering big day tomorrow."
Big day? The doctor thinks to himself when he's brought out his thoughts with Lucifer standing staring right at him. "Doctor douche.. nice to finally meet you." Lucifer states blithely.
"It's just Doctor." The doctor muttered back and Lucifer grins "Is it? Is it really?" He replies mockingly.
Seraphina frowns at her fathers tone and she clears her throat. "Anyway The doctor has offered to take Amy and I on a few adventures."
"Oh really?" Lucifers gaze stays on the doctor before he leans closer. "What are your intentions for my daughter?"
"Intentions?" The doctor sputters out. "I have good intentions, just some fun adventures."
Seraphina gives her uncle a pleading look to help her out and her uncle Gabe rolls his eyes. "Oh come on Luci, let our Seraphina have some fun, I'm sure the doctor will keep her safe right?"
The doctor nods "I promise I will always try my hardest to keep Seraphina safe." He answers with full honesty. Lucifer sighs realising the doctor is telling the truth. "Fine I suppose, can't say no to that lovely face of my daughter can I?"
Seraphina grins and she gives her father a hug and then her uncle Gabe "you deserve to see the stars darling niece." He whispers.
"Bye see you both soon, love you both." She grabs both Amy and the doctor by their hands and pulls them out the door, before any of them can change their minds. Her uncle Gabe and Father share a look between them, both having the feeling that Seraphina is in for a rollercoaster of a time.
As they head back to the Tardis, the doctor still a little stunned he just met two archangels and one was literally the devil. "I can't believe that just happened.. two archangels." He muttered and Amy laughs "yeah I still find it odd and I've lived next door and had sleepovers in the house with them."
Seraphina at this point isn't listening to them, her eyes are locked on the Tardis and her beautiful song, they get to the Tardis and this time the doctor opens up the door. "Ladies first."
Both Amy and Seraphina enter the Tardis, Amy stares at it stunned but Seraphina grins and reaches out and touches the wall feeling a warm hum run through her and she giggles, the doctor watches the interaction with a smile on his face, before watching as she makes a beeline for the console and wanders around it, eyes full of amazement.
"Well?" The doctor said expectingly. "Anything you would like to say? Any passing remarks? I've heard them all."
Amy glanced around before saying "I'm in my nightie." At the same time as Seraphina answered "She's absolutely glorious."
"Yes she is." The doctor answered Seraphina before looking at Amy. "Oh, don't worry. Plenty of clothes in the wardrobe. And possibly a swimming pool. So, all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will Where do you want to start?
"Why are you so sure I'm going to come?" Amy asked for herself she knew Seraphina was definitely going especially when her uncle and father gave the blessing to go.
"Cause you're the Scottish girl in the English village, and I know how that feels."
Amy looks a little surprised at that. "Oh, do you?"
"All these years living here, most of your life, and you've still got that accent. Yeah, you're coming."
"Can you get me back for tomorrow morning?" Amy asked and Seraphina nodded as she remembered that Amy was getting Married in the morning.
"It's a Time Machine" the doctor reminded her. "I can get you back five minutes ago. Why, what's tomorrow?"
Seraphina frowned when she watched Amy averted the question. "Nothing. Nothing. Just you know, stuff."
"All right, then. Back in time for stuff." As he said it, a beep sounded out and a pointed device similar to the one he had two years ago popped out. "Oh! A new one! Lovely. Thanks, dear."
As he set the controls on the console Amy asked. "Why us?"
"Why not?" He remarked back.
"No, seriously. You are asking me to run away with you in the middle of the night. It's a fair question. Why me? Why us?" Amy continued wanting answers.
"I don't know. Fun. Do I have to have a reason?"
"Everyone always has a reason, sometimes they just don't want to say." Seraphina interjects and he smiles gently at her. "Been knocking around on my own for a while, My choice" He frowns and looks down at the console. "but I've started talking to myself all the time. It's giving me earache." He finishes in a lighter tone.
"You're lonely." Amy deduced. "That's it? Just that?"
"Just that. Promise."
"Are you okay?" He asked her as he discreetly looked over at Seraphina as she continued to look around admiringly. "Because this place, sometimes it can make people feel a bit, you know."
Seraphina turns her attention back to the conversation as she steps up next to the doctor and his thumb edges over the hand she has on the console for a moment before he pulls away.
"I'm fine. It's just...there's a whole world in here, just like you said. It's all true. I thought..." Amy trailed of for a moment to think what she was going to say. "Well, I started to think that maybe you were just like a madman with a box."
Seraphina giggled at her words and the doctor grinned. "Amy Pond... Angel, there's something you two better understand about me" he tells them seriously. "because it's important, and one day your lives may depend on it. I am definitely a madman with a box."
"Ha ha! Yeah." He turns back to the console threw a lever putting the Tardis into flight mode. "Goodbye Leadworth, hello everything."
