"Cree? Have any y'all seen Chad lately? I can't seem to find him or atleast get ahold of im.." I asked with slight nervousness, touching my two index fingers together. It was around mid-November at the time, and we were just about to take off to a place Cree called the "KND Gihugeacarrier" to attend something "gravely important", as worded by Cree.

"Surely he's out there somewhere.." Cree grumbled, activating her Battle Ready Armor, to which I activated mine as well. "Hop right in, we've got no time to lose!" I climbed into the red and black air-craft and secured myself before the engines ignited and we took off right through the clouds. "Soo if I remember correctly, this all has some'n to do with a.. a Treaty between the kids n us, right?.." I asked, tilting my head to the side. "Correct.. now just warning you, there will be tons of other people and noise there, so.." Cree then handed me some ear plugs. "The Steve told me to give you these. He'll be making a speech there." I took the little objects and stuffed them into my wolf ears. Once they worked, I gave Cree a thumbs up and a canined grin. Ain't gonna lie, I wasn't exactly sure of what would become of this. It kinda felt a little suspicious, but I tried to think positive.. maybe this'll be a turning point for all of us.

We were shortly up in the sky, soaring through thick, puffy clouds. It only took us a couple more minutes to finally arrive at our destination and land safely. Once we exited the shuttle, I looked around in awe around the massive platform.. but quickly snapped out of it when Cree rubbed my shoulder, "Come on, let's get going. They should be initiating about now," Cree said, gesturing for me to follow her.

Upon entering the stadium, my eyes went wide. I had NEVER seen so many people in one space! Seeing both kids and teens all in the same place together (without going at each other's throats) felt so.. unreal. A couple of times, I thought I was dreaming, which made the realization that I wasn't hit so much harder. Across the crowd, I could see Abby and her friends from Sector V. I wanted to catch her eye and wave to her, but I doubt she could see me. It also seemed to be super noisy, so I adjusted my ear plugs before Cree placed me at the back of the crowd of kids and teenagers before rubbing my head. "I'll be next to the podium if you need anything, ok Scruffy? You can take the ear plugs out during the speeches if you'd like, just put them back in afterwards." I simply nodded and did so before she gave me a gentle smile and then made her way to the podium. That was when I heard a voice with a strange accent speak into the microphone. "Honored participants, I would like to begin this historic day by not greeting you as kids or teenagers, but as YOUTH, for that is what we truly are! And united as youth, we are here to erase the jagged line between kids and teenagers, in order to make us one in our non-adulthood!" then came applause throughout the audience, including me as I lightly grinned, even though this whole situation began to grow suspicious to me, as this whole "treaty" thing to me literally just.. came outta nowhere.

"Thank you! It is my honor to welcome the leader of the teenagers into this historic event! Friends, I give you.. The Steve!" said the kid at the podium. Everyone applauded some more as an air-craft that resembled a radio landed at the top. Several cheerleaders jumped up and down in front of the hatch door, and up to the podium strolled our good friend, Steve!.. and the first thing he brought up was, uh.. tacos and ice cream, from what I can remember.

A few moments later, it was time for the official signing of the Treaty, as announced by Numbah Infinity. And this.. this was when things took a turn for the worse. Right as they were about to sign the Treaty, The Steve announced that he would like to "play a little song for this occasion".. it must've been pretty ear-splitting, because all the kids all clapped their hand over their ears, some even falling to their knees.. but I, however, didn't hear a thing, and apparently, neither did the other teenagers. And that's when I remembered: special ear plugs..

The music may have been drowned out by the ear plugs, but I heard something that made me freeze in disbelief:

"B-but what about the Treaty??" said Numbah 362.

"Don't you get it?" Steve began. "We, like, totally burned it like itty-bitty little pieces of toast!"

I stood there and just stared down at the ground in silent shock. The Treaty.. was really a big trap. That's when we all saw a bright flash in the sky, and that flash turned out to be a shuttle, which crashed onto the stage at full-speed. For a moment I could've sworn I saw Chad up there one last time, when..

"Kids Next Door! BATTLE STATIONS!!!" Numbah 362 hollered, and for the millionth time.. the two age groups began clashing yet again. But for a few more moments, I stood silently in place.. negative, and even hostile emotions gradually began spreading inside like a forest fire. Kids and teenagers have been at each other's throats for what seemed like an eternity and now we've just been scammed of what was probably the only chance to make peace with each other.. the emotional pain continued to grow even more thinking back on all the hatred me and my friends had received over the years from who were once our closest companions and allies.. my breathing was heavy and shaky, and I felt the warmth of my own tears streaking my face.. then something snapped inside of me. My shaking breaths had turned to growls, and that's when something inside of me ultimately said, "screw it", and I slugged and roundhouse kicked the first few kids to run at me as hard as I possibly could, then began to go on a rampage, constantly shape-shifting and knocking over any kids in my path, tears of anger pouring down from my eyes. If the kids and teens were gonna remain bitter enemies for all eternity, then might as well accept it for what it is, and fight. My rampage had soon redirected from beating up the kids to crashing through and destroying buildings, trees, and any other property of the Gihugeacarrier.

I was about to start throwing all the debris everywhere, when I heard several eruptions from the middle of the platform. To my horror (and everyone else's), the Gihugeacarrier had been tore in half from the impact and was now falling apart, both halves vertically sinking. I slipped downward and off the platform, but before I fell any further, the bell on my collar responded out of emergency, and I automatically shifted into a large dragon.

"Delilah, help!!" I instantly flew towards the direction of Cree's frantic call for help. "We need to save Abby, and fast!"

"Where is she?" it was then that I caught sight of Abby barely dangling from the destroyed end of the halved carrier, audibly whimpering. Just as I saw that her life was in grave danger, I made an immediate bee line for the 10-year-old and caught her on my back.

Needless to say, I went home beyond exhausted and borderline emotionally traumatized from the entire thing. Most days after that giant crud-show I stayed in my room, silent and huddled in several blankets and pillows, even going so far as to tape a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on my door.

One thing, for sure.. I was DONE with those Kids Next Door for a long while.
