There's a poll on my profile page if you want to check it out!
Here's the next chapter. I hope you'll enjoy it.
phillyitalian - Yeah, I'm excited to introduce Wendy as well. Her attitude and her desire to help others is sweet. I think that Night Terror would definitely play the role of a big brother to her. Thanks for reading.
Djinn - Thanks so much. I don't think I'm really good at doing fight scenes but I appreciate what you said. Oracian Seis is on my top ten arcs so I'm very excited to do my own version. Thanks for reading.
Spedyalarm - Glad to hear. I hope you enjoy this filler chapter.
Kira444 - Thank you so much and happy belated birthday! Flare is still in the harem after the time skip, but, for now, they just have a teacher-student relationship. Thanks for reading.
ikusatsunagi - Thank you so much. I'll see what I can do.
Star-Eyes Pendulum Dragon - The first one. No, definitely not. Second one. In a way, perhaps.
Neo Infinity - Glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for reading.
Guest - Thanks so much and I see your point. Wendy is a great character, but yeah, she will only remain a friend to Night Terror. Or they could have a older brother/little sister relationship which I think that's cute.
wellingtonlucas282 - No problem, thanks for reading.
goffy123 - Yeah…sorry.
MDM11 - Thanks for reading and, like always, I see what I can do with your suggestions. You're made quite interesting ones.
Godsreader15- Indeed it is.
Allluuu - Love it when that happens. Thanks so much, you're too kind.
Skull Flame - Yep, pretty intense stuff, right?
Pinkflamingwarriorofjustice - Oh, definitely. Can't reveal who it will be with just yet.
Gilgamesh50 - Well, technically his real name is a secret. Night Terror is a loose translate to the word Dorchades which could also mean darkness.
ShadowSsp - Hmm…that's certainly would be interesting. We'll have to wait and see.
Thanks for reviewing :)
Chapter 32: Let Her Eat Cake
Fairy Tail Guild
Like any day, when there were no jobs to go out on and no immediate threats to the safety of the guild, Night Terror sat in his private booth with his skull mask off; reading a newspaper whilst he drank his tea.
He had very little to do today. Flare had gone off with Mira and Lisanna to go blackberry picking in the nearby woods; his friends and colleagues are either socialising down stairs or gone off on missions and there were no chores that Makarov wanted him to do. This meant he had very little to do today and so decided to take it easy and relax for a change.
He idly flicked onto the next page of the newspaper he was reading and hummed to himself, "Seems like it is a slow news day," as he read yet another boring article, "Most of this is tabloid dribble. Hmm…what is this?"
The next article caught his eye. It showed a page with several question mark dotted around in all shapes and colours. Above them was the tagline:
'EXCLUSIVE! Fairy Tail's most mysterious mage, Night Terror, face reveal! See it in tomorrow's edition.'
"Face reveal?" be mumbled before he sighed in annoyance, "Oh no. Not him again."
He reached for his helmet and put it straight on before he pulled his hood over it. Just as well he did as soon he heard a voice muttering to itself coming from over the ledge of his booth.
"Almost there, almost there," the voice whispered. Night Terror saw a hand grab onto the ledge from the outside followed by another hand which was holding onto a camera. They then began to pull up their owner onto the ledge with some difficulty, "Come on. One more push. Three…two…one…"
Night Terror turned back to the newspaper, sighed drearily and conjured a shadowy tendril to reach down and lift the man the rest of the way up, causing him to yelp in surprise. Hanging from the tendril by the scruff of his pink shirt was a man in his mid-twenties with medium length blonde hair, fair skin and large curious light blue eyes. He grinned cheerily despite the fact that he had been caught caught and gave him a wave from his free hand.
"Hellooo! Night Terror! The most mysterious mage in Fairy Tail in joint place with Mystogan!"
"Good morning to you Mister Jason," Night Terror calmly replied with some hints of irritation in his tone, "Is you taking a photo of my face really worth breaking your neck for."
"Ah! You got me again! Must be the mysterious magic you have! Coool!" he replied happily as he held up his camera, "Now if you want to just take off your helmet off-"
"Mister Jason, this is your hundred and eighty third attempt in trying to reveal my identity in Sorcery's Weekly," he interrupted as he looked up from the newspaper, "Surely, you must understand that I wish to remain anonymous. I've told you this so many times."
"I know, but you don't understand Nighty…"
"It is Night Terror to you, Mister Jason."
"…this isn't for sorcery's weekly. This is for a major newspaper that is read all over Fiori. If you get your photo in it then you'll be famous."
Night Terror sweat dropped, "I believe that it is you who does not understand at all."
"Come on! It'll be coool! I've photographed everybody else in Fairy Tail!"
"As long as my clansmen consent then it is perfectly fine. Just not me."
"Aww, come on. It's just your face. It's not like I'm asking for fully nude shots of you for the readers to enjoy…actually, if you're up for that…"
Night Terror closed the newspaper and glared straight at Jason, "Very well, you leave me no choice," he said as voice became deathly cold as a menacing aura seeming to emit from him, "If you do not give up on your pursuit…I will use the Curse of Ainm Brèige on you. A curse that is worse than death itself."
(A.N - Aimn Brèige translates to 'Fake Name' He couldn't be bothered to come with a proper fake curse name.)
Jason's eyes widened slightly in shock, "You're going to put a curse on me?" he uttered before he gave a bright grin, "An authentic, real Nighty curse! Coool! Can you do it without the helmet!?"
Night Terror sighed miserably, "I should have expected that," he muttered before he looked back down at his newspaper again, "Farewell, Mister Jason," he said as the tendril began to carry the reporter across the guild and out of the large doors.
"Okay! I'll catch you later!" Jason cried out as he was carried out and dropped off just outside the gates of the guild.
"Strange man," he murmured.
Knock! Knock!
Two shy knocks on the private booth's door made him look around curiously, "Hello?"
"Hi, Night," the familiar voice of Levy called through the door, "It's me."
"Oh, Miss Levy, please do come on in," Night Terror said as he used his shadows to pour her a cup of tea.
Levy popped her head around the door and gave a small wave, "Hi, good morning," she chirped as she entered and closed the door behind her, "Sorry for disturbing you."
"You have done nothing of the sort. Please take a seat," he told her which she happily took and accepted to cup of tea that one of the shadow tendrils offered to her, "Now how can I help you?"
Levy frowned in worry as she stared down at the tea, "It's Erza. She returned yesterday."
He hesitated slightly by what she said before he gave a mournful sigh.
"I see…" he murmured, "And how is she?"
"Quiet…very quiet. She's hardly said a word to anybody at Fairy Hills."
"Oh…that is quiet a problem."
A while ago, as the festivities of the Harvest Festival had subsided, Night Terror told Erza, Millianna, Wally and, as soon as he regained consciousness, what had happened to him when he encountered Capricorn. He decided to include the part where he fought the Misery, but kept Muireall's involvement a secret to them as he felt like he was not necessary to tell them. As soon as he mentioned Simon and his disappearance, there was nothing he could to stop them from leaving Magnolia in search for him. They had gone for just over a week now and it would seem that they had very little success.
"We tried everything to get her to talk, but she tell us everything is fine, gives us a fake reassuring smile and continues to practise in the yard. I'm starting to get worried," Levy told him as she sadly sipped her tea, "I thought I'll come down here and see if you have any ideas."
'Oh, Miss Erza. You must be blaming yourself for not protecting Simon. I am sorry, I know how you feel,' he thought sadly before he hummed thoughtfully, "Unfortunately, Miss Erza can be quite stubborn and the problem she is facing is difficult for her personally. Forgive me for not sharing what it is."
"Don't worry about it. I don't need specifics," she said with a shake of her head, "I was just wondering if you knew how to…I don't know, cheer her up."
"Let us see, what does she like? Fighting, swords, beating up Mister Natsu and Mister Grey…"
"…her friends, dressing up in her armour, erotic novels…" Levy continued before her eyes widened in panic at what she just admitted, "…please don't tell her I told you that."
"No…ahem…I feel like that would be counterproductive," he admitted bashfully, "Hmm..l am sorry Miss Levy, but I cannot suggest anything. Perhaps if we wait until for everybody to come back and we can pool our knowledge. Then our efforts would become more fruitful."
"Fruitful…" Levy hummed before she gasped in delight, "I've got an idea."
"Y-you do?"
Fairy Hills stood proudly on the crest of a hill just outside Magnolia and was the home to most of the female mages of Fairy Tail. It was a grand mansion with hundreds of rented apartments, facilities such as the bathhouse and a swimming pool, a garden around the back and it was entirely surrounded by a high brick wall with only a single gate. It is mainly known for it's strict 'woman only' policy and men are completely forbidden from entering which, considering what the men were like in the guild, is very understandable.
Night Terror and Levy stood at gates of Fairy Hills and watched Erza practising her sword swings against the trunk of a nearby tree; mainly focusing on her technique rather than putting her entire strength into it. Her face was solemn and thoughtful; clearly that was a lot on her mind that she was trying to process.
The Phobos leaned back away and took a step back away from the gate to avoid trespassing it. He knew the proprietress of Fairy Hills for years and knew that she trusted him despite being male, but he was obliged to respect the rules nevertheless.
"Miss Levy," he whispered, "Are you sure this will work?"
"Sure, I'm sure," she replied happily.
"It is just that I am not the best at acting."
"Just follow my lead and you'll be fine," she told him before she cleared her throat and proclaimed in a loud over-the-top voice, "Well, hello Night! What brings you here!"
"I see you are as proficient in acting as I am."
She gave him a light slap on his arm for that remark, "Don't sass me. Just do it."
Night Terror cleared his throat, "Good day, Miss Levy. I was going hoping to borrow a book from you about baking, please," he called out in an equally loud voice.
They glanced over at Erza and saw, to their dismay that she had hardly moved from her training spot. Levy hummed and turned back to Night, making sure to keep an eye out for any movement.
"Of course," Levy replied, "which one would you like?"
"Perhaps one that involves fruit or summer berries," Night Terror replied.
"Oh, then maybe you would like to make a strawberry parfait…"
Erza didn't move at all.
"…or maybe an eton mess…"
Yet again, she still did not move.
"…or strawberry flavoured cupcake…"
Levy began to sweat nervously when, once again, the red haired mage didn't move an inch from her training.
"…or a…or a…" she looked to Night Terror for help, but he shook his head, "…or a…simple strawberry cake…"
"Did you say strawberry cake?"
Levy screamed and jumped away in shock as Erza, miraculously, was stood beside her. She didn't even see her move from her position. Levy, a little shaken up, gave her a nod.
"I did, yes" she nudged Night Terror with her elbow, "Night felt like baking something, didn't you?"
"That…that is correct, indeed," he agreed with a nod.
"A strawberry cake," Erza uttered in a daze.
She became a little distant. Her face was relaxed, her mouth was open slightly with a little drool starting to fall from her lips and Night Terror thought for a second that he saw her eyes turned strawberry-shaped. However, she shook her head off her strawberry came thoughts and looked down at her sword; debating whether she should continue her training or give into sweet temptation…
…and sweet temptation won.
"Well, I happen to have eaten…I mean…baked a few of these cakes before," she said, trying her best to not seem to eager, "I could…help if you want."
'That was too easy,' Night Terror thought with a sweat drop, 'At least we have got her attention.'
Levy giggled in delight, "Of course, you can. I've got nothing else to do today so why don't we all do it."
"Yes! Let's!" Erza cheered happily as she gave a rather feminine giggle… before she coughed into her gauntlet and composed herself, "Yes, I suppose we all can."
'Aww, cute,' Night Terror and Levy collectively thought.
"Well then, we shall meet later at Night's house and we shall begin," Erza said as she marched towards Fairy Hills.
Although, halfway through, she looked back to see if they were watching her before she began to happily skip instead in excitement.
"Great," Levy said as she made her way to the mansion as well, "the plan worked well. See you in a minute."
Night Terror, however, blinked in bafflement, "Umm…my house?"
They followed Night Terror to the middle of Magnolia where very few people travel down and where the buildings were so close together that they was always darkness no matter what type of day it was. Erza and Levy had never been to this part before; not because they were trying to avoid it, but because they never knew it existed in the first place. However, for the Phobos, he knew the back streets and alleyways like the back of his claw.
They soon arrived at the end of a dark alley and to a black painted door at the very end of it. As he unlocked the door, Levy couldn't help but look around the dingy brick walls and the filthy pavement beneath their feet and cringed slightly.
"Night, how did you find this place?" she asked.
"I brought it several years ago, very cheaply, from the mayor's office," he answered, "They must have forgotten all about it, because they had never ask for any taxes on the property."
"It's hard to imagine you living in a place like this," Erza pointed out.
"Do not worry. It is much nicer on the inside," he insisted as he opened the door…
…to reveal a pitch black hallway. There was nothing inside but the darkness and the cold shadows.
They blinked in astonishment as a shiver ran down their spines. They turned their eyes towards him questioningly, making him sheepishly rub the back of his head.
Night Terror coughed in slight embarrassment and stepped inside, "Oh, one moment please," he said as he closed the door behind him.
The two mages waited for him outside for about thirty seconds before Night Terror opened the door for them once again. The inky blackness of the house was almost gone by several it candles going up and down the hallway. Now that they could see what was inside, they had to admit that he was correct; the interior was much nicer. With polished wooden floorboard, black wall paper which had purple baroque patterns on it and several handcrafted wooden furniture; the hallway looked like one you would find in a fancy mansion somewhere in the countryside. There were even some oil paintings hanging on the wall and an incense lamp that was lit on one of the mahogany tables. They took a moment to admire the inside for a little while longer before Night Terror ushered them inside.
"Please do come on in. The kitchen is just this way," he told them as they stepped inside, "Make sure not to go into any of the rooms that do not have light in. You might get lost in there for eternity."
Levy giggled, "Very funny."
…
…
…
"…oh, you're serious."
"Indeed, I am."
"This is wonderful," Erza said as she felt the soft wallpaper with her fingers, "I never knew you had a talent for interior design."
Night Terror chuckled at that, "Well, I wound not say that. I merely acquire objects that seem to go well together. My abode is shrouded in darkness at all times so I never really paid attention to colour schemes. There are some objects that I have not seen for years," he stopped right next to an oil painting of a horse in a meadow and gave a small hum, "Has that always been a painting of a horse. I cannot remember why I brought it," he mused as he continued down the hallway.
They entered a door at the end of the ornate hallway and entered the kitchen. It had emerald green tiled walls, marble counters, a tap and basin in the far corner and everything you would need for cooking and baking from a metal lacrima powered oven to a pantry on the far side of the room. From the ceiling hung bunches of herbs like basil, parsley, tarragon, chives, sage and rosemary while there was an assortment of spices neatly placed in jaws on a wooden spice rack that hung on the wall.
"Wow, Night. This kitchen is nicer than the one back at Fairy Hills," Levy commented as she looked around, "You really built all of this?"
"Not all of it," Night Terror told them, "I only had to replace the floorboards…the walls…the plumbing…the ceiling….the counter tops…the cupboards…the…actually, yes pretty much everything. It was quite a ruin when I first bought it."
A magic glow caught their attention. They turned towards the red haired mage and was surprised to see that she had requiped into a white chef's uniform which included an apron over her front and a tall toque that sat neatly on her head.
"Shall we start?" Erza asked eagerly
"Of course," Levy said as she brought out the appropriate cookbook and opened it up, "All we need is…"
A.N This is a recipe that I…sort of created for you readers in case you want to try it as well.
Ingredients:
Cake
- 200g caster sugar
- 200g softened butter
- 4 beaten eggs
- 200g self-raising flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Decoration
- 600g icing sugar
- 300g softened butter
Plenty of strawberries, chopped in halves
Method
- Preheat oven to 190C/374F
- Grease two 20 cm tins and line with non-stick baking paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the sugar, butter, eggs, flour, baking powder, milk and both almond and vanilla extract until you get a smooth batter.
- Divide the mixture into the tins and bake for 20 mins or until the cake is a golden colour and it springs back when pressed.
- Place them on a cooling rack and leave them to one side as you make the decoration.
- Mix the butter until it becomes smooth and then gradually beat in the icing sugar until it becomes creamy.
- Spread the buttercream over one side of each cake; with one cake being the lower tier and the other the upper tier.
- On the lower tier cake, press as many strawberry halves you can into the buttercream layer.
- Place the upper tier cake on top of the lower tier cake so the strawberry and buttercream layer is in between the two cakes.
- Then decorate the cake's buttercream layer with as many strawberries as you like or in patterns.
- Enjoy with a cup of tea whilst reading other stories written by Victor Soul :)
"That sounds delightful," Night Terror said as he tied a blue apron around his neck, "Although, I wonder who, in the last step, is this Victor Soul person?"
"Never mind that," Erza said, already having a mixing bowl and a packet of sugar out on the counter in front of her, "The faster we get this done, the quicker we will get to eat it."
She swiftly opened the packet of sugar and began to tip its contents into it, causing Levy to cry out in surprise.
"Wait Erza, you're supposed to measure it first," she told her.
Erza's eyes widened in shock as she quickly stopped herself, "Oh! Really? I've completely forgotten," she uttered before she turned to Night Terror in slight panic, "I haven't ruined already, have I?"
"Of course not," he replied good naturally, "We just have to adjust the amounts for the rest of the ingredients. The only difference it will have to the original recipe will be that it might be a little bigger."
….
….
….
….
The red haired mage stared unblinkingly at him for a few seconds before, without breaking eye contact, she started to pour more of the sugar in.
"Slightly bigger cake, huh?" she hummed.
"Miss Erza…Miss Erza…MISS ERZA, NO."
Later, Erza was quickly barred from adding any more ingredients and was, instead, put onto tin greasing duty, much to her disappointment. Night Terror used a metal whisk to beat all the combined ingredients together in the mixing bowl that was tucked into the crook of his elbow, making sure everything was combined until smooth. He stopped and lifted the whisk up slightly over the bowl as he inspected the batter; seeing how smoothly it fell back into the bowl, he gave a content hum.
"Just about right, I believe," he said as Levy stepped to his side.
"You want to know another way of testing to see if it's properly combined?" she asked to his curiosity.
"Another way?"
"Yep," she chirped as she reached up, dipped her finger in the batter and ate a little piece of it, "Yum. Taste's good."
"Miss Levy, you should refrain from doing that. It has raw egg in it," he told her in slight concern.
"It was only a little bit. It can't hurt you," she said with a giggle as she walked away.
Night Terror watched her leave before. He looked around, making sure nobody else was watching, before he used a shadow tendril to pick up a little piece of cake batter before slipping it under his mask and into his mouth.
"Hmm," he hummed happily, "It does taste good."
Later on, as Night Terror was turning on the oven since they had forgotten to pre-heat it. As they waited, Levy looked over to see Erza studying the two cake tins filled with batter on the counter to the point that her nose was almost touching the layer of batter. Curious, Levy walked up behind her.
"What are you doing?"
Erza hummed as she pointed at the tins, "Are you sure there's an equal amount in both of them. I think one of them has more than the other."
Levy gave a small chuckle, "I'm sure it's fine. It's not supposed to be exact."
"But… but if one of them has more than the other, then it would need more time to bake," Erza said in slight worry, which was cute in a way, "I would hate it if one of them is is less baked than the other or one of them is more burnt than the other."
"…we can use a ruler if you like."
"That would be acceptable."
Later still.
"Wow, it's actually rising. This is so cool to watch."
"Incredible. What started as a combination of raw ingredients is slowly becoming into something greater…and delicious. It reminds me of our guild. All our friends are the ingredient and our friendship is the cake."
"Aww, Erza, that's beautiful."
"Isn't is just."
"Ladies," Night Terror said with his arms half-submerged in dishwater, "I do not mind you watching the cake bake in the oven, but could you help me with the washing up first?"
"Ah! Sorry, Night!"
Even later still.
"More icing sugar means more buttercream," Erza hummed as she continued to pour the sugar into the mixing bowl.
"Miss Erza…Miss Erza…MISS ERZA, NO."
Even, even later still.
The cake was complete.
The two tier sponge cake with buttercream and strawberry filling and decoration stood proudly on its stand and seemed to glow in perfection. Night Terror may have added a little bit of Fear Magic into the ingredients just to make them taste even better. They stood and admired it for a few seconds; all of them eager to dig in and eat to their heart's content…
…and that is exactly what Erza did.
"Finally!" she cried as she swiftly cut a slice from the cake and slide it onto her plate, "I can taste the delicious beauty of this gorgeous cake!" she squealed happily as the pupils of her eyes turned heart-shaped and drool seeped out of the corner of her mouth.
Levy and Night Terror just smiled happily; content to see her enjoying herself.
"Well, hold on. We still have to make the tea first," Levy told her.
"Ah! Of course! How could I forget," Erza chuckled with a small smile, "I have been enjoying myself so much that I forgot almost everything…I believe that was your plan all along, wasn't it?" she said, giving them both a knowing look.
Levy and Night Terror both froze in shock.
'We have been found out!' they shouted in their heads.
Erza giggled at their reaction and set her plate down on the counter, "Honestly, you two. How long have we known each other. Do you really think the promise of cake was what brought me here?"
Night Terror raised an eyebrow, "Oh well, if that is the case, then I take it away from you."
Erza's eyes widened in panic, "Wait! No! That's not what I meant! You can't do that!" she cried as she stood in front of the cake protectively, "What I meant to say…was that it wasn't the only reason why I came here," she said before she cleared her throat and calmed herself down, "As you two are aware, I have returned to Fairy Tail. You see Levy…a very important person has gone missing…and I was out searching for him."
Night Terror was surprised. He hadn't expected to admit anything to Levy, especially as she had no previous knowledge of her childhood or the Tower of Heaven or Jellal or anything.
Levy frowned in concern, "Oh…Erza. I'm so sorry to hear that."
"It's fine, honestly. I don't mind you knowing," Erza told her before she focused entirely on Night Terror, "In the beginning, I was coming to terms for my failure in my usual way; training and telling everybody that I am fine when I'm not…but I don't want to do that anymore. If there's one thing I had learned over the past couple of months, it's that keeping secrets will only hurt the people you care for more than just telling them then. I thought I was being brave being inside my armour and carrying the world on my shoulders so others don't have to deal with them. But it's not brave at all. What's brave is asking your friends to help…and I want to do that more often," she said before she took a deep breath, "Night, Levy…will you assist me in helping me find Simon."
Night Terror smiled proudly beneath his mask while Levy, despite not knowing the full story, still nodded eagerly.
"Of course, Erza. I'll do anything I can."
"And you have my aid as well, Miss Erza," Night Terror agreed as well.
A small, relieved smile appeared on her face at their words. She subtly wiped a tear that appeared in her eye and gave them a firm nod.
"Good, I'm glad to hear it," she said earnestly before she turned to Night Terror once again, "And what about you. Will you also stop keeping secrets?"
Night Terror was, again, taken by surprise. He wandered briefly what she meant, but it didn't take him long to realise; she must have know that he was keeping information. Muireall and what she is doing. What happened on the Island of Fear. Just about everything that had to do with the Phobos today. It made him feel very guilty.
He was about to reply when Erza prodded him on the chest and gave him a honest smile.
"Don't worry. It took me this long, so it wouldn't be right to force you to do anything," she told him, "Take your time. But don't wait until it's too late, okay?"
He stared down at her in astonishment before a relieved smile appeared on his face, "I…promise, Miss Erza."
"Good. Glad that we sorted that out," she said before picked up her plate, grabbed a fork and took a piece of slice of cake. She then raised the fork to Night Terror's mouth, "Alright, open wide."
"I…I beg your pardon," Night Terror uttered in confusion.
"It's customary to give your friends the first bite," she explained.
"I have never heard of this custom."
"Neither have I," Levy chimed in as her face turned a bright shade of red.
"Come on," she insisted as she jabbed the fork towards him.
Night Terror hesitated before he lifted his mask up slightly, just enough for the fork, and ate the piece of cake.
"How does it taste?" she asked happily.
"It's delicious," he told her with a small chuckle.
"Naturally."
"Err…"
He looked down and saw Levy staring down at her feet in slight embarrassment. Her face was still bright red, her hands were clasped together shyly and she was pouting slightly.
"I…I was…I was wondering if…" she stammered.
"Of course," Erza said as she took another piece of cake and held out the fork to her, "Here you go. Open wide."
"Oh no, that's…" Levy began to say before she gave up and ate the piece of cake anyway, "Hmm…that's so good!" she cheered happily. She then cut herself a slice of cake and put it on a plate; she took a piece of it with a fork and shyly held it towards Night Terror, "Err…I quite like to feed you as well…if you don't mind," she asked bashfully.
Night Terror smiled as he once again lifted his mask up slightly, crouch down and allowed her to feed him, causing Levy to grin happily.
"Thank you, Miss Levy," Night gratefully said as he too did the same as them and held up two forks in each hand with two pieces of cake up to them, "Is the custom that I feed you both as well?"
The two mages thought for a moment before they nodded eagerly and opened the mouths slightly to accept it.
And you know what, the cake was absolutely delicious.
That's it for now.
Bit of a short one, I know, but I had two filler chapters in mind that I wanted to do and I couldn't decided on which one to write. So, I thought I do this chapter and then publish the next one soon.
Also, happy Forth of July to my American readers! Go and light up a firework, eat food…or something…I don't really know what you guys do…but, still have fun anyway! Whoohoo!
