Fat Gum ran across the battlefield away from the villa carrying Sprite, Chargebolt, Mudman and Fungi.

"Out of the way!" Fat Gum yelled. "Fat Taxi is coming through!"

"You sure it's okay for us to leave the battle?" Mudman asked concerningly.

"We can still help you guys out the time," Chargebolt pointed out.

"Trust me, we needed you kids to use your powers to disrupt the enemy's response and divide leadership," Fat Gum explained. "That kept them from coordinating. Now, we circle them and close in; they'll be crushed slowly but steadily. As the battlefield gets smaller, it'll be hard to use your area attacks without harming the pros, so it is best for you to take a breather with the rest of your classmates."

"Makes sense," Mudman conceded.

"We can handle the rate from here," Fat Gum assured them.

Then suddenly, they saw a massive burst of flames coming from the top four of the villa and saw something flying out of the window.

Sprite's eyes widened in horror. "Is that… oh, no."

Diablo was now looking at Hawks with unbelievable rage moments after Twice had been killed.

"You killed Twice like it was nothing," said Diablo, looking down at him with burning hatred. "And yet you have the audacity to call yourself a hero!"

He then blasted Hawks with a powerful burst of flames, setting his wings on fire. Hawks stumbled out and collapsed as he tried to put them out.

'His flames are somehow getting even hotter,' he said.

"You hypocrite!" Diablo snarled, slamming his foot down upon him. "I can't believe you murdered him!"

"You sound upset," Hawks noted as he looked up at him, noting his vicious smile. "So what's with the smile, you lunatic?"

"Shut your mouth, traitor, you're being rude," he said. "It's not possible for me to cry; my tear ducts have been burned shut." He then looked down at him venomously. "You know what you've done? His power was invaluable; he made my dream feel possible. I'm more than just a little upset."

He then unleashed his flames.

"I am consumed by my sorrow!" he yelled.

"What's your deal?" Hawks asked. "I researched the League and found background info on everybody. Except for you and Krogan."

He also couldn't forget that Diablo somehow knew his name, which was a well-guarded secret by the Health and Safety Commission.

"Thud, today you will say goodbye to that name."

"You're going to complete an exclusive program that will turn you into a special hero. How does that sound? The train will be tough, though. Can you handle it?"

A young Hawks merely nodded as he held out a stuffed plushy of Hellfire.

"Will I grow up to be a hero like him?" he asked them. "The kind that stops bad people. Will I make people smile? I mean, like when he did it when he saved my life?"

"Yes. That's the idea."

Back in the present, Hawks was looking at Diablo, still wondering how he had discovered his real name.

"Tell me, who are you?" Hawks demanded.

Diablo smiled evilly, whispered something in his ear, and whatever was horrified Hawks.

He then leaned back and smiled. "More than Twice, more than any army of villains, your attention should have been focused on me. The League, Krogan, I've never cared about them. Did you know that the world could be forever altered because of one person's singular obsession? There is no such thing as a true hero in this society. You frauds must be killed. Do you get it now? I am the one that will carry out Flightmare's will!"

His flames then intensified, becoming even hotter than before.

'Flightmare… the Hero Killer?' Hawks stared.

"See ya, Hawks," said Diablo as flames covered his hand. "At the end of the day, your death means nothing!"

The Liberation Army members were still underground and could hear the entire mansion shaking above them.

"Are the heroes still coming?"

"Have faith! This is our moment liberation and reformation are at hand!"

Giganto was still sitting there holding his radio, waiting for Krogan's orders without saying a single word.

At the Safety Commission's headquarters, they were still getting reports on the operations.

"Edgeshot's group has sealed off the remaining five passages that lead to the assembly hall beneath the villa!"

"Team Hellfire continues to eliminate Red Deaths within the hospital."

"Cottontail is fighting High-Ends in the underground research lab."

"Hellfire is currently on his way to help her."

Hellfire was running through the corridors as quickly as he could, knowing that despite how skilled Cottontail was, there was no way she could handle so many High-Ends at once.

"You can't kill me!" said Chubs. "I'm unstoppable!"

Crest continued to pierce him with his shields, but all he was doing was slowing him down, even with the physical enhancements he was getting with Monk.

"What's going on here, Crest?" Hellfire asked as he arrived.

"Hellfire!" said Crest as he held his ground. "This thing's regeneration ability is trouble."

"We keep cutting him down, but he just bounces back," said X-Less frustratingly.

"I've got this," said Trapster as he turned round the corner.

He then used his power upon Chubs, nullifying his meta powers and now the shield they were piercing his body with actually doing some harm.

"I owe you one!" said Crest. He then plunged his shield even deeper. "You animated corpses will be laid to rest again!"

Chubs roared in pain as his regeneration ability had been nullified. He was now feeling the pain of the shields piercing his body. Hellfire then clenched his fist and slammed it into him, unleashing a massive burst of flames.

"Hellfire, I can handle things here!" Crest yelled. "Hurry to Cottontail side! There's not a second to lose!"

Cottontail had taken down Robot, but she was still facing against three powerful High-Ends. Rippy was swinging his tendrils at Cottontail, who dodged them and swung a powerful kick at Woman. However, she leaned back and avoided the blow, and Eleph swung his massive fist down at her.

Cottontail quickly dodged the blow, somersaulting over him just in time to avoid Rippy's tentacle. She then began jumping across the air, avoiding Rippy's attack, and then attacked him, but he was able to dodge her attack.

'I'm not landing hits,' she noticed. When she hit the ground, she quickly bounced away to avoid getting stabbed by Rippy's tentacle. 'I know my body better than anyone, and I know the problem isn't that I'm slowing down or getting weaker. I think these monsters have fully awakened. As fun as this is, I'm out.'

She then looked at the High-Ends. "Sorry, guys…"

She landed on one of the containers and bounced away before Rippy could hit him with his tentacle. She quickly ran across the room and headed towards the secret passage where the doctor had vanished.

'My target is the old man and Krogan!' she said.

"You're going after him again," said Rippy, then swung his tentacles at her. "Stupid hero!"

His tentacles raised her hip and ripped her left ear clean off, but despite his injuries, she kept pushing forward. However, Eleph grabbed her hair, pulling her back on, and Woman bit down on her right leg with razor-sharp teeth.

Cottontail roared and broke free from their grips, though Woman had bitten off a good portion of her right leg. Rippy extended his tentacles out towards her as she continued to make a way down the passageway.

'Every rabbit knows your best chance to escape is focusing on running,' she said strange three gleefully. 'I'm going to die. It will be after I achieve my goal!'

She kept on running until she saw a light at the end of the tunnel and then, with all her strength, jumped up into the air. There, she saw Doctor standing in front of a container, and she could see Krogan floating inside.

Upon seeing her, Doctor immediately screamed in anguish, and she raised her left leg.

"There you are!" she yelled.

However, Rippy's tentacle shot my pastor and pierced her left leg.

"Got you," he said.

'I'm not done!' she screamed through gritted teeth.

However, Hellfire then arrived, slamming his burning fist right down the top of Rippy. This gave Cottontail a chance, freed her leg from Rippy's tentacle, and continued her attack on the container.

'The thing about heroes is that we never give up!' she roared.

Just a few minutes ago, Hellfire slammed his flaming punch into Chubs.

"I can't use my power," he groaned and burst into flames.

He was then sent flying backwards, and the heroes stormed into the lab. Hellfire wasted no time and flew towards Cottontail, leaving the other heroes content with the other High-Ends.

When Hellfire struck, Rippy Loudspeaker unleashed a powerful sonic blast, forcing the High-Ends to cover their ears and smash the glass from the containers. Crest quickly struck Eleph, and Hellfire pinned Rippy to the ground.

'There are layers of bone beneath its skin,' Hellfire observed. 'Built-in shock absorption.'

"Hellfire!" Trapter yelled as he jumped in. 'I got the first two High-Ends fast enough, but it took me a second before I saw the third.' He then quickly turned his gaze towards Rippy. "Now is our chance! Take the finishing blow!"

Hellfire then once again unleashed a blazing fist upon Rippy.

Cottontail was continuing her attack on the container which held Krogan with her busted leg.

'The moment I laid eyes on this creep, my body knew exactly what to do,' she said. 'It's a rabbit survival instinct. The guy's evil, and he must be stopped. I can't let him be set loose on the world no matter what it takes!'

"Don't touch that!" Doctor screamed.

Cottontail ignored him and continued her attack, slamming the container with all her strength and cracking the glass.

Back in the main lab, X-Less was firing lasers from his eyes at Woman, forcing her to retreat.

'Their powers…' she said as she observed the heroes present. 'Sonic voice… shield creation… laser eyes… physical enhancement… blade creation… which means the one keeping me from using my powers is him.' Her eyes instantly laid upon Trapster. 'I lost my abilities when he appeared, but how does this power function? He so much as touch me.' She then noticed the goggles he was wearing. 'His eyes are kept hidden. Yes, sight. He needs to see me to activated. How long does it last? Is there a time limit or… yes, this is good.'

She instantly began to run further away from the other High-Ends.

"So fast," said X-Less. "And it's pure strength, not some power."

'Running from my field of vision, don't tell me figured out how my power works.'

X-Less then fired his lasers at Woman, but she was proven to be rather nimble even without powers.

'My mind and body are in peak condition,' she said.

A later scorched her arm, but he quickly regenerated instantly and instantly, the muscles in her legs began to bulk up.

'This feels delicious,' she said.

Her legs then exploded, and protect our was immediately shot out. Crest quickly form shields around them in order to protect themselves while still fending off the pure strength from Eleph. Things got worse as Rippy recovered from Hellfire's attack and moved his tentacle again.

Cottontail was still trying to smash through the glass when Rippy's tentacle shot out from behind her and pierced through her arm and leg. They began pulling her back, but she refused to give in and slammed her leg down on the container with all her strength.

Doctor watched in horror as the cracks around the container began to expand, and Cottontail pushed her attack, smashing through the base of the container. She was then suddenly pulled back as the fluid inside the container began to leak out of the crack she had made.

"Wait!" she yelled.

"Yes," said Doctor as he frantically reached for the control console. The system is working!"

However, the console then exploded and began to power down.

"Oh, no!" he screamed.

Cottontail then was flunked back down the corridor and slammed into Hellfire away from Rippy. He caught her as they skidded across the ground and saw that she was in really bad shape.

"Cottontail?!" he gasped as he placed her down on the ground. "I'll cauterise, brace yourself."

He pulled out some fabric and put it in her mouth so she wouldn't bite down on her tongue. 'You took out multiple enhanced Red Deaths by yourself?''

He then placed his hand against her wounds and began to use his power to weld her skin together, and she screamed through the fabric.

"I already owe you for your work in Atlanta," he said. "Don't you die!"

"Oh, really?" she said frustratingly. "How much do you owe me, you think?"

She then winced as Hellfire continued attending to her wounds.

"It's number one," said Woman above them. "Destroying you will make me feel even better!"

She then launched herself straight towards him, opening her mouth wide.

The other heroes were having a hard time with the other High-Ends. X-Less fired his laser at Rippy, cutting him across the cheek.

'Not completely awakened yet,' said Rippy.

Trapster then quickly wrapped his scarf around his arm and used his power to nullify his abilities.

'No good,' said Rippy frustratingly as he was unable to use his powers, 'can't use my powers. The strength I got was my becoming a High-End, and the power was taken from me!'

"Listen up, team," said an exhausted Cottontail on the radio.

"Cottontail!" said Crest relieved. "You're alive!"

"Krogan is floating in some kind of capsule," Cottontail reported. "From what I've seen, I'm betting it's an activation chamber. The Red Deaths began to start to move when the electricity shot through them like they were zapped to life. Don't let Krogan wake up; he's not just some bratty punk any more."

Trapster remembered that Rock Lock and the other heroes were currently in the hospital lobby to prevent the other Red Deaths from following.

"Trapster, you and the others keep going," he said. "I'll be right behind you once I secure these guys!"

'Reinforcements are inbound but not fast enough,' Trapster cursed. 'Cottontail is right; Krogan cannot enter this fight. The Red Death that broke free of my power has probably started fighting Hellfire. He could use my backup, but I can't let my hold of these three. I'm stuck here for now.'

He continued to look at the High-Ends and began barking out orders. "X-Less! Loudspeaker! Help them!"

"Gotta," Loudspeaker nodded.

Loudspeaker and X-Less quickly made their way towards the corridor when Rippy blocked them. However, Crest tossed his shield, knocking him aside and clearing a path for the two of them.

"Go!" he yelled.

"I'm counting on you, Loudspeaker," said Trapster.

'I've got this,' said Loudspeaker as he ran down the corridor.

Doctor was trying to fix the console to wake Krogan.

"The machine is on the fritz, but the data looks good," he said as he frantically put everything back together. He then turned his eyes to the container and the fluid leaking out of it. "I need a rousing quickly before even more the solution leaps out. Damn!"

He was reluctant to wake Krogan so soon, but he didn't have a choice in the matter. "I'm allotted to get you out when you're still unfinished, but the dream that I shared with Drago must survive."

However, despite his quick fix, the consulate was still on the fritz.

"Crap!" he yelled, banging his fist on the console. "Blasted machine!" He then grabbed the remote control that was plugged into it. "Wake up, Krogan!"

Loudspeaker just arrived in time as Doctor activated the machinery and unleashed his voice, striking the container as loudly as possible. Doctor was thrown backwards as Loudspeaker's attack began tearing through the equipment and shattering the container.

The liquid inside of it flowed out of it instantly, and Doctor looked up in time to see Krogan worry collapse into the ground, not showing any traces of life. Loudspeaker then immediately rushed over towards Doctor and glared at him furiously.

"Check for authenticity!" he said through gritted teeth and then punched Doctor hard in the face. "That was for making my buddy cry!"

Doctor collapsed to the ground and was virtually knocked unconscious.

X-Less then approached Krogan's body and pressed his heart against his chest and could feel a heartbeat.

"I'm not feeling any heartbeats," he said.

"The boy was in suspended animation to reduce the burden on his body during the transfer process," said Doctor in tears. "That receptacle housed the means to revive him. The only reason for me to live was to see this through. What now?! It's all over. The dream… that I shared with him the Lord of Evil."

"Yeah, that's great," said Loudspeaker with very little sympathy as he pulled him towards him. "But more importantly, the Red Deaths are acting on your instructions, right?" He then dragged him back down the corridor. "You better if you know what's good for you! Do you hear me?! X-Less, deal with Krogan!"

"Right," X-Less acknowledged. He then turned his head to a nearby machine. "What was that machine?"

"40 years ago, the world ridiculed me and my ideas," said Doctor as Loudspeaker continued to drag him down the corridor. "They said that my Paranormal Singularity Theory was irrational and based upon weak evidence. The shortsighted fools. The world was in chaos at the time, and in order to restore peace, there could be suggestions for another collapse instability in the future."

"Now it's called the Metahuman Doomsday Theory," said Loudspeaker. "Cults love it. The man who proposed the concept went missing and was thought dead after his claims were published. If he were alive, he would be over 80 now."

"I was exiled," he said bitterly. "I lost everything; he was the only one who reached out a hand while the rest of the world cost me aside. His presence is overwhelming, and his smile is like that of Buddha. He is a god walking among us in human form. My power gave me the ability to live twice as long as a normal person at the cost of physical strength. I offer this humble power to him; the version of the meta power I have now is actually a duplicate of my original."

Doctor then looked at him curiously. "You're a friend of the user of that cloud ability, the one that we gave to Ryker, aren't you? I will admit that then, what we really wanted was Trapster's power."

Loudspeaker wanted nothing more than to beat him up. 'I feel dirty just touching him. I've never found myself more disgusted or more furious. I've seen a lot, but this creep might just be the most revolting monster I've ever encountered.'

Krogan found himself in an empty space filled with debris.

"Where am I?" he said.

'Because dad gets mad when you play pretend,' said a voice out. He turned around and saw his older sister standing there. 'But I think it's great; I'll be cheering you on your biggest fan, Krogan.'

"Karly's here?" Krogan blinked.

'Krogan?' said Karly's voice again apologetically. 'There you are. Sorry, it's my fault that you got in trouble.'

"Oh, I don't care about that anymore," he said dismissively.

'Do you still…' said his mother's voice concerningly. '…wanna be a hero? We will figure out your allergies, okay? No more itching.'

Krogan suddenly transformed into a small child. "Don't worry, I'm okay. Thanks, Mom."

'Krogan!' his father's voice yelled furiously. 'You were in my study!'

Suddenly, he saw his father reaching out to him, but he merely smiled viciously and outstretched his hands. The moment his father touched his hands, he disintegrated into nothing.

'Krogan…' said Drago's voice.

Krogan looked up and saw Drago standing in front of him, like some true father figure, holding his arms out affectionately. However, a red-blooded mist had completely distorted his face.

"Master," said Krogan, finding himself fully adult again. "You seem different."

"Come here," Drago beckoned.

Krogan began to walk towards him, but then he felt his family's hands grab him and try to pull him back.

"Stop it," he said.

Then, his father's hand grasped his head. "Krogan."

Then, his grandmother grabbed the back of his head. "Make sure you don't forget."

Krogan narrowed his eyes and immediately grabbed his father's hand, disintegrating him instantly. Then, he did the same with the rest of his family. He then continued to make his way over to Drago and passed right through him.

"You will see me as I am," he said.

'Drago predicted his demise and decided to entrust everything to his successor, including his astonishing,' said Doctor as he was still being carried off by Loudspeaker, 'including his astonishing meta power. But just like me, he maintained a duplicate of his own power after transferring the original to Krogan.'

Back in the lab, a wire landed on the liquid inside the container with Krogan. Those tiny sparks sent an electrical surge, and Krogan awoke instantly.

'I'm done being rejected,' said Krogan.
