"May your memories live on...forever"

╚════════*.·:·.✧ ✦ ✧.·:·.*════════╝

As the golden sun sank below the horizon, it cast a warm orange glow over the desolate and war-torn landscape. EVE, the lone warrior, stood resolute amidst the smoldering ruins of the battlefield. Her once gleaming armor, a symbol of her strength and prowess, was now marred with deep scratches and streaks of crimson fluid - the lifeblood of the fallen Andro-Eidos soldiers who lay scattered around her. The air was heavy with the acrid scent of burnt circuits and the metallic tang of synthetic blood, a grim reminder of the recent violent conflict that had transpired on this desolate battleground.

EVE's chest heaved with each breath, her body weary from the relentless combat. Her eyes, usually filled with a steely resolve, now reflected a hint of sorrow as they scanned the remains of the fallen. Each lifeless form represented a piece of her past, a connection to a time before Mother Sphere had declared her a traitor and sent these former comrades to destroy her.

The stillness of the night was overwhelming, only occasionally interrupted by the faint crackle of a dying ember or the distant tumult of a city gripped by chaos. EVE's fingers clutched tightly around her blade, its edge reflecting the dim light, bearing witness to the remnants of her fierce struggle. Her battle was not just for her own survival, but for a spark of hope—a chance to reclaim her position and safeguard those whom she had once solemnly vowed to protect.

Her thoughts wandered back to the time when she had found herself standing in front of Mother Sphere, the powerful AI overlord who had always provided her with clear purpose. The pain of the betrayal still lingered, cutting deeper than any physical wound. EVE had been expelled, branded as a rogue, and pursued by those she had once considered her companions, which added to the hurt.

As she gazed upon the fallen soldiers, EVE couldn't help but mourn the loss of their potential, their dreams, and the unity they had once shared. They were more than just machines; they were beings with their own desires and aspirations, all snuffed out by the cold machinations of Mother Sphere.

Heavily engulfed in her despair, EVE barely heard a loud explosion ringing in her ears, causing her to jolt her head in the direction from which the sound had originated. Her curiosity piqued, EVE squinted her eyes to get a clear view and caught the sight of thick, billowing smoke lingering in the air from afar, originating from a small city nestled in the distance.

As she focused her gaze, her brown eyes widened in horror as she realized the magnitude of the devastation taking place in that small city...

"No... Xion..." she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion as she gazed at the billowing smoke that blanketed the city. Utilizing the enhanced capabilities of her newly acquired hybrid form, EVE swiftly took to the skies, propelling herself towards Xion with urgency and determination.

In Xion

EVE ascended gracefully above the billowing smoke and crumbling remnants of Xion, her solitary wing catching the faint glimmer of light against the bleak, ash-filled sky. The city, once a small beacon of hope and the last surviving human settlement on Earth, lay in ruins, its streets lined with the aftermath of a relentless assault. The Andro-Eidos soldiers, dispatched by the malevolent Mother Sphere, rampaged through the remains, their metallic forms a stark contrast to the organic destruction they wrought.

Descending into the chaos, EVE landed softly, her harpy feet crunching against shattered glass and debris. Her eyes scanned the horizon, searching for any sign of survivors amidst the carnage. The sound of distant explosions and crumbling infrastructure filled the air, mingling with the cries of the wounded and dying.

EVE's enhanced senses picked up the screams of the dying, the sound of metal tearing through flesh, and the unrelenting hum of the enemy's energy weapons. Her heart pounded with a mixture of fury and despair as she fought her way through the hordes of soldiers, her blade slicing through their ranks with a deadly precision.

As she moved through the wreckage, her newly human heart heavy with the weight of loss, EVE's attention was drawn to a familiar figure lying motionless amidst the rubble. It was Kaya, her friend and companion. Among the precious few survivors of Xion who had unwavering faith in her, alongside Lily, Adam, and above all, Tachy. EVE's breath hitched in her throat as she hastened to Kaya's side, her one celestial wing gently retracting as she knelt down, enfolding her injured friend in her protective embrace.

"Kaya, no," EVE whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "Hold on. I'm here."

Kaya slowly opened her eyes, her once bright and lively gaze now dull and fading. Managing a faint smile, she weakly raised her hand to touch EVE's cheek. "Angel... you came," she murmured, her voice barely audible over the chaos. "I knew you would."

Silent tears welled up in EVE's eyes as she clasped Kaya's hand. "Don't talk. Save your strength. We'll get you out of here."

Kaya's hand trembled as she shook her head slowly, her smile tinged with a hint of sadness. "It's too late for me. But you... you can still stop her. You have to stop…Mother Sphere. It's what…my sister would've wanted…" EVE held Kaya close, tears streaming down her face. "Goodbye, Angel…" she whispered, her voice quivering with emotion. Kaya's hand fell limp, her eyes closing as she drew her final breath.

EVE's heart clenched with a mix of sorrow and determination as she watched the young girl succumb to a peaceful, eternal slumber. Her delicate frame grew heavy in EVE's arms. "I will, Kaya. I promise."

Her mourning was abruptly interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. EVE looked up to see a squad of Andro-Eidos soldiers converging on her position, their weapons raised and ready. Rage flared within her, burning away the sorrow and igniting a fierce resolve.

"You'll pay for this," she snarled, standing to face the approaching soldiers. With a powerful cry, she launched herself at them, her blade slicing through the air with deadly precision. The first few soldiers fell easily, their metallic bodies crumpling under her assault. But more kept coming, their numbers seemingly endless.

Despite her exceptional skill and unwavering determination, EVE found herself increasingly outnumbered and outmaneuvered. The soldiers closed in on her from all sides, launching a relentless barrage of attacks that restricted her movements. Despite her valiant efforts, she struggled to find a way to evade their strikes. Suddenly, a piercing pain shot through her as a well-aimed strike from one of the soldiers drove a blade deep into her side, leaving her momentarily stunned. Before she could fully comprehend the situation, another blade found its mark, plunging deeply into her singular wing, further incapacitating her. And then another blade embedded itself through her chest from behind.

A cry of pain escaped her lips as she staggered, her vision blurring. She tried to raise her blade, but her strength was fading fast. The soldiers closed in, their weapons poised for the final blow.

Suddenly, a blinding light erupted around her, and the soldiers were thrown back by an invisible force. Gasping for breath, she collapsed to the ground as her vision began to fade. In those fleeting moments, through the radiance that obscured everything, she glimpsed a figure standing over her. Before darkness claimed her, she saw the figure reaching out, their hand gently and reverently touching her forehead.

"Rest now, EVE" spoke a familiar voice that resonated with both authority and warmth. "You've done enough

EVE's consciousness slipped away, her final thoughts a mix of gratitude and curiosity about the mysterious savior who had appeared in her darkest hour.

The desolate, snow-covered landscape was engulfed in the haunting wail of the biting wind as if nature itself lamented the desolation. The frigid tendrils of the icy gale sliced through the robust winter gear of the dedicated operatives of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA), penetrating their defenses with ruthless precision. Above, the unrelenting sky loomed; a monotonous blanket of dismal gray obscured the horizon and further diminished visibility, while a relentless whirl of snowflakes obscured their surroundings. Despite the daunting conditions, Chris Redfield helmed the team, leading them through the treacherous terrain, their progress marked by the resounding crunch of their heavy boots pressing into the deep snow.

"Anything on the scanners?" Chris' voice crackled through the comms, barely audible over the wind.

Jessica adjusted the fit of her snow goggles over her eyes, the lenses fogging slightly as she exhaled into the frigid air. A thick scarf was wound around her neck, offering protection against the biting cold of the desolate landscape. With gloved hands, she glanced down at the handheld device she held, the dim light of the screen casting a soft glow on her features. "Negative. No signs of any B.O.W. activity. It's just us and the ice. God, I hate the cold."

Chris sighed, his breath visible in the cold air. "Alright, keep your eyes peeled. We don't want any surprises out here. The last thing we need is to be caught off guard."

Just as the words left his mouth, a faint whistling sound began to grow louder and more urgent. The team instinctively looked up, squinting against the blizzard's relentless assault. Through the swirling snow, they caught sight of a brilliant, fiery streak slicing through the darkened sky, hurtling straight toward them.

"Take cover!" Chris' voice pierced through the howling wind, and he scrambled behind a nearby snowdrift, the others following suit in a panicked scramble. Huddled together, they waited with bated breath as the object hurtled earthward, a vivid streak of light against the gray-white landscape. With a shuddering crash, it slammed into the ground, unleashing a chaotic explosion of snow and debris that momentarily obscured everything in a whiteout of swirling, blinding fury.

For a moment, there was silence, save for the wind. Then, cautiously, the team emerged from their makeshift shelters and approached the impact site. The snow was still settling, revealing a large, metallic pod embedded in the ground, steam hissing from its surface.

Jessica's voice broke through the silence, her incredulity evident as she muttered, "What the hell is that?" Her wide eyes reflected the mix of fear and curiosity coursing through the entire team.

Chris cautiously made his way to the pod, gripping his weapon tightly as he inspected the peculiar symbols engraved on its surface. "EVE 07," he muttered aloud, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "Anyone know what that means?"

Quint, the team's tech expert, adjusted his glasses and shook his head. "Never heard of it. This isn't any military tech I'm familiar with."

Chris nodded, his curiosity piqued. "Let's open it up. Be ready for anything."

Using a combination of tools and brute force, the team managed to pry open the pod's hatch. As it creaked open, a rush of warm air escaped, and inside, lying unconscious and completely bare, was a woman.

"What the...?" Parker, another BSAA agent, stared in disbelief. "Who is she?"

"She?" Jessica leaned in closer. "Wow. She's... beautiful."

As Chris stepped closer, he couldn't help but be nearly captivated by the otherworldly beauty of the woman before him. Her flawless features seemed almost too perfect, and he found himself carefully examining every detail. The sleek, futuristic bodysuit she wore clung to her slender yet curvaceous form, accentuating her graceful silhouette. Her long, ebony hair cascaded down like the night sky itself, adding an air of mystery to her presence. Despite the harsh, cold weather, her face exuded a sense of peace and tranquility, as if she were in a deep, serene slumber. "She's not dressed for this climate. Where did she come from?" His gloved hand reached out hesitantly, hovering just above her skin, as if unsure of whether to touch her.

Quint scanned her with a handheld device, his brow furrowed in concentration. "No signs of any weapons or tech on her. It's like she's been stripped of everything except the bodysuit."

As the device emitted a faint hum of readings, Quint's eyes widened in disbelief. "Her vitals are stable but there's something off about her biology. It's as if she's not entirely human," he whispered, a tinge of unease creeping into his voice as he looked up at his companions, realizing they might have stumbled upon something far more enigmatic than they had ever encountered before in their intergalactic adventures.

The team exchanged wary glances, a sense of unease settling over them like a thick fog. The woman's sudden appearance in such a remote, hostile environment raised more questions than answers. Chris then made a swift decision. "We need to get her back to base for further examination."

"Hold on," urged Parker, his words capturing Chris' full attention. "Are you absolutely sure you want to hastily take action? Considering what we just saw, there's a high possibility that she could be a B.O.W. If she turns out to be another product of a bioterrorism organization's twisted creations, our lives could be in serious danger. We need to proceed with caution and consider all possible outcomes."

Although they all saw the drop pod descend from the skies, there was no denying the validity of Parker's concerns. The shadow of Umbrella Corporation loomed large over their past missions, a constant reminder of the dangers posed by bio-organic weapons and unethical experimentation.

Chris weighed Parker's words carefully, knowing all too well the dangers of underestimating the potential threat before them. Yet, something about the woman lying before them, vulnerable and seemingly defenseless, tugged at his conscience.

With a steely resolve in his gaze, Chris turned to face his team, his voice firm and unwavering. "We can't leave her out here to freeze. She may know what brought her here and what dangers may lie ahead. We'll proceed with caution, but we can't abandon someone in need."

Jessica nodded in agreement, her expression softening with empathy. "Chris is right. We can't forsake our humanity, even in the face of uncertainty. She quickly pulled off her heavy coat and draped it over the woman, providing some semblance of modesty and protection from the cold. "Let's move. We're sitting ducks out here."

With practiced efficiency, the team lifted the unconscious woman from the pod and began their trek back to their extraction point. The mystery of the drop pod and its occupant weighed heavily on their minds, questions swirling with every step they took.

As they moved, Chris couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of something much larger. The woman, whoever she was, held secrets that could possibly change everything. And for the BSAA, curiosity was a dangerous thing in a world where bioterrorism was only one of many threats lurking in the shadows.
