I do not own "The Loud House:
Problem Rise Chapter 1.
On a typical day at the Loud House, the family home buzzed with activity. Lori, the oldest sister, was absorbed in a phone conversation with her boyfriend, Bobby. Leni admired her new dress in the mirror, Luna lost herself in the beats of her favorite tunes, and Luan crafted her latest prank. Lynn Jr. devoured seven meatball subs at once. Inspired, Lucy scribbled passionately in her journal, Lana played gleefully with her beloved pets, Lola held a refined tea party for her treasured dolls, and Lisa was engrossed in a meticulous science experiment.
Amidst various activities, one Loud sibling had a particular fondness for comic books and video games. Lily Loud, the oldest of her siblings Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa, was engrossed in a comic book starring her favorite hero, Ace Savvy. "Take down Card Shark, Ace Savvy!" she cheered, eagerly turning the pages.
Having completed her comic, Lily chose to watch Ace Savvy on television. "This looks like an excellent show to watch," she commented, getting out of bed and heading to the living room. As she was about to change the channel to her favorite show, Lynn Jr. pounced on her. Suddenly, Lily was on the ground, hurt, while Lynn Jr. relaxed on the couch, remote in hand, already watching her favorite sports show.
"Sorry, sis, but my favorite sports show is on," Lynn Jr. says, smiling. Lily stood up, frustrated. "That's not fair, Lynn, I was here first!" she retorted. Lynn Jr. glared at her, clearly upset by her sister's challenge, making Lily flinch. Rising from the couch, Lynn Jr. walked over to Lily, grabbed her shirt, and spoke in a firm tone. Listen Lily I don't care about you here first my show I on plus I under then you. If you talk to me again like that I will swing my metal bat to your head. You understand. Lynn Jr says threat her. Lily shakes her head yes in a mix of fear and scare. Good Lynn says while throwing her on the ground. Lynn Jr headed back to the couch and Lily looked at her and got up hanging upstairs and back to her room.
After she made it back to her room Lily was mad and starting to get upset what Lynn Jr say to her some time, Lily stomach began to growl with hunger, and she realized she had missed lunch. "I didn't realize I was this hungry," she whispered to herself. Leaving the warmth of her bed, she headed to the kitchen and decided to whip up her favorite snack: a peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwich. While she enjoyed her unusual concoction, one of her sisters walked into the kitchen, likely in search of a snack as well. Luna, another member of the Loud family, asked with a touch of curiosity, "Hey sis, what are you eating?" With a smile, Lily responded, "Just my favorite peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwich." Upon hearing this, Lola, another sister, made a face of disgust and exclaimed, "Ew, that's gross!" Lily defended her choice, asserting, "No, it's not, Lola. It's quite tasty." Yet, Lana, another sibling, chimed in with her aversion, "Uh, I eat weird stuff, but that's gross." Despite her sisters' disapproval, Lily stood firm, declaring, "I enjoy peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwiches." However, Lynn Jr. added a cutting remark, "Sorry to say, but no one will eat that. We can't relate to someone who enjoys odd food, video games, or comics."
Luan added to the mockery, "That sandwich looks like it's from the dinosaur era; it's that repulsive. Understand?" All the Loud sisters laughed, leaving Lily feeling humiliated and distressed. She retreated with her meal to her room, yet the sound of laughter still reached her. Tears welled up in her eyes, but with a heavy sigh, she finished her sandwich, then lay on her bed, overwhelmed with anger and sorrow from Lynn's words. Her sisters' laughter continued unabated. As Lily remained in her room, a knock came at the door. She inquired, "Who's there?" Lori responded, "It's me, Lily." Rising from her bed, Lily opened the door to find Lori engrossed in her phone. Lily queried, "What is it, Lori?"
Lori declared, "It's your turn to take out the trash." With a sigh of frustration, Lily left her room to dispose of the trash. However, upon her return, she found the door locked. Whispering "Dang it," she raised her voice, hoping her sisters would hear her plea, "Hey, I'm locked out. Can someone open the door?" But her calls went unanswered. A frantic search for her phone proved futile. "It must be in my room," she reasoned. Feeling helpless and unable to act, Lily chose to stroll down the street, wishing for one of her sisters to notice and let her in. While walking, Lily's thoughts lingered on Lynn Jr.'s earlier remarks, "We can't relate to someone who enjoys odd food, video games, or comics." These words wounded Lily, for she cherished these very things. The laughter of her sisters made her feel alienated in her own home. Yet, during her pain and bewilderment, Lily clung to one hopeful anticipation—the arrival of the new baby in the family.
She recalled the recent day when her mother, Rita, was in agony, and the baby was restless. Her father, Lynn Sr., had whisked Rita out the door while all the Loud sisters emerged from their rooms to witness the commotion. Leni inquired about their mother's well-being, but Rita, overwhelmed by pain, couldn't respond. Lynn Sr. announced the baby's imminent arrival and his intention to rush Rita to the hospital. He entrusted Lori with the responsibility of her sisters and the house. Lori, already prepared, noticed Lily's absence and hastened to inform her of the situation in her room. Upon entering Lily's room, Lori found her youngest sister absorbed in her VR Zombie game, so much so that she collided with a tall object and recoiled at Lori's appearance. Lori sighed and informed Lily that their father had escorted their mother to the hospital because the baby was on its way.
Lily had been eagerly anticipating the arrival of her new baby sibling. One evening, when she returned home at 8:10, she was greeted by her sisters wearing angry expressions. Lori, the eldest of the Loud sisters, demanded to know Lily's whereabouts. Taken aback by their reaction, Lily explained that she had been away for only a few minutes and had called out without a response. Her sisters were perplexed; Luan noted that nearly two hours had passed since Lily's departure. Luna, still upset, questioned why Lily hadn't contacted them. Lily admitted she had forgotten her phone in her room. Lori suggested that Lily should have used the back door, but then abruptly halted and scolded Lily for her negligence. Lori declared, "Lily, you are grounded for a month and are not permitted to use any technology or entertainment devices. I am very disappointed."
Lori was both disappointed and upset with Lily for endangering herself. It had been a challenging day for Lily; she had faced a barrage of scolding from her family over her mistakes, which was beginning to take its toll. When she finally withdrew to her room, a brief sense of relief washed over her, only to be quickly replaced by overwhelming emotions once she was alone. Clutching her beloved stuffed animal, Bun Bun, to her chest, she released her built-up feelings. She pondered over her propensity for mistakes and her sister's relentless teasing about her food choices and hobbies. Lynn's biting remarks echoed in her mind, amplifying her sense of alienation within her own family. Lori's expression of disappointment was unfathomable to her, making her feel utterly uncared for. Lying in bed, engulfed by feelings of solitude and neglect, she gazed at Bun Bun, yearning for siblings who would genuinely care. Tears led her into sleep, with a faint hope that the coming day would bring improvement.
