I wake up this morning and am surprised to find that Demetrius was still holding me in his arms. My head was still resting against his chest and I opened my eyes to see him sleeping peacefully against my pillow. I smiled at him and couldn't resist placing a hand up on his cheek and rubbing my thumb across his forehead. He wiggles his nose and lets out a small, 'mew' in response my touch. I smile and decide to stop and rest my hand back down on his chest.

I was nervous that I might wake him up accidentally and I wasn't entirely sure if he was a morning person or not although, something was telling me that he wasn't a morning person at all. So I just watched him sleep for a while. Conveniently, I didn't have my shop open today so I was off and I didn't really have anywhere to be. Shortly however, my ADHD was kicking in and I was having a difficult time staying still for so long so I end up slowly sneaking out of the bed and try to be extra careful not to wake him up. I had to move his arm in order to get out of bed however.

I was sure that of all things, that this was going to wake him up. Well, he must have been exhausted because he didn't move a single muscle and was still asleep when I got out of the bed. I smiled at him sleeping peacefully and was just mesmerized at how handsome he was. I quickly shake the thought from my mind and criticize myself for thinking in that way before taking the covers and placing them on top of him. He nuzzles into the pillow and purrs.

I smile at him because I absolutely loved his purrs. It made him just that much more adorable. I tip toe across the floor and head towards the door grabbing my keys on the way and quietly shut the door behind me. I had already left a note for him so that he would know that I was coming back with breakfast for the both of us. I get downstairs and breakfast is already made and sat out. I pack a couple of plates full of food and set it out on the tray.

Right after that, I pour us a couple of mugs of coffee and set those on the tray as well. I grab a few packs of sugar and creamer and set them on the tray before then grabbing some silverware and placing them on the tray. I then carry the tray up to my room and open the door. I pick up the tray and carry it into the room and sit it on his table. I turn around and walk back over to the bed and notice that he's still asleep.

I decide to turn on some music and end up drawing some Celtic symbols in my sketchbook. A few minutes later I hear Demetrius stirring before he stretches his arms over his head and yawns. He looks over to me and smiles slightly, "hey." I grin and look back down at my book and continue drawing, "good morning, sunshine!" He chuckles at my southern accent.

Not really noticing I ask, "what?" He shakes his head and smiles, "you just have a really cute accent that comes out here and there, that's all." I blush red and he chuckles. "Wow really? That's kind of embarrassing."

He shakes his head, "it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's just a part of who you are." I smile and bat my eyelashes. He chuckles in response and then there's a long awkward silence. I clear my throat, "I uh, I went downstairs and got us some breakfast. You should eat something."

"Eh,... I don't know if I'm hungry right now." I cross my arms over my chest, "hey, weren't you the one that always told Abby that breakfast was the most important meal of the day?" He exchanges a crooked smile, "okay, okay bring it here and I'll eat it." I smile feeling satisfied that I convinced him to eat and bring the tray over to where he's sitting. He smiles, "thanks Jessie."

I smile, "no worries! Someone has to make sure you don't starve to death." He takes a bite out of his bacon, "wow it's extra crispy today." I smile widely, "I know! I love it when they cook it just right. He looks over at my plate and notices me eating some sort of white substance.

"What's that you're eating?" I swallow my food down before answering, "it's called grits. It's very popular in places like North Carolina and Georgia. Most people from up North don't seem to like it too much. Do you want to try some?"

"Uh sure, I guess." "Here, take some," I say pushing the small bowl closer to him. He takes a scoop of it with his spoon and shoves it in his mouth. A couple of seconds later he makes a strange expression. I laugh, "what's the matter?"

He swallows the remaining bite in his mouth, "well, I know why you guys call them, 'grits.'" I continue laughing, "why? Too gritty?" He nods his head, "yep." I smile, "well it's not for everyone and at least you can say that you've tried it."

He smiles back, "that's true. Hey, do you work today?" I shake my head. "No it just so happens to be my day off. Why?"

He smiles with excitement, "really? So am I! Since you're off, I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out or something?" I smile before taking a sip of my coffee, "sure. What did you have in mind?"

He takes a sip of his coffee, "oh, nothing much. Maybe just go for a walk or watch a movie or maybe just talk, I'm pretty much down for anything." I put a hand up to my chin, "hmm,... maybe we could just chill out here for a bit and talk. I have a deck of cards. Maybe we could play a couple of games."

He smiles, "cool, what game do you want to play?" I thought to myself for a moment, "how about, 'Spades?'" "Alright! I love that game." I then shuffle the deck the deck a few times and then start dealing out the cards.
