A/N: Shit. Sorry for the long absence from my fics again, I'd finished this ages ago but I had finals and was trying to review…please forgive me I promise I'll try to update more regularly in future since summer vacation just started today and all *throws TNT out the window*

Oh yeah I know I didn't tag it but there's going to be a bit of Karlnap in this chapter. It's very minor but if you don't like it, I suggest skipping the chapter. I'll provide a summary in the end notes if you do. Anyways, enjoy!

If someone had told him a year ago that he would one day be taking Karl Jacobs on a date, Sapnap would have scoffed. Ironically, that was his exact predicament, and Sapnap was absolutely elated.

"So, have you got any plans as to what we're gonna do tonight, or are we just going to walk around?" Karl asked, fidgeting with the end of his sleeve.

"Just walk 'round, yeah," Sapnap nodded, mouth dry. "Isn't that what people do on first dates? Get to know each other and all?" He laughed, trying to dispel the nervousness from his voice.

"Okay—have you got a route picked, then? There's a really nice walkway around Manberg if you don't mind…" Karl trailed off, looking uncertainly at Sapnap.

"Yeah, okay, let's go!" Sapnap agreed, heart thumping painfully hard in his chest. He was going to go on a date with Karl Jacobs.

Part of him still couldn't believe this was real.

The two set off, chatting about random things—their recent annexation into Manberg, what they liked to do in their spare time, the upcoming war, this and that. Sapnap found himself relaxing as he slowly began opening up to Karl. This was much better than he had expected. If only he could stop blushing like a fucking schoolgirl—

"Hey, what's that?"

Sapnap squinted in the rapidly fading light. In front of them stood a black-rimmed rectangle with a shimmering purple center. It was barely the size of a doorway, but it had a certain mysterious and powerful aura to it, making it look a lot bigger.

"I have no idea, but it looks a bit weird," Sapnap said. "Maybe we should—"

His suggestion went unheard, however, for four people who had certainly not been there a second ago had charged out of the rectangle.

"What the hell?" Karl exclaimed quietly. "A portal? Now?!"

"A…portal?" Sapnap's blood froze. "Karl, what are you—"

"Sorry to interrupt your fascinating conversation there, but we need to ask you a few questions," said one of the new arrivals in a decidedly British voice, straightening his tie and brushing a few nonexistent specks of glowstone dust off his suit.

"No thank you," Sapnap said, turning.

"I'm afraid that wasn't a choice," said the same person with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "So, gentlemen, I trust you have heard of someone named Sherlock Holmes? Or, perchance, someone named Greg Lestrade?"

Sapnap and Karl traded confused looks. "No."

"Are you sure?"

"If I'd met a person with such a weird name, I would've remembered them," muttered another man, this one with hibiscus-pink hair.

"Thank you for your help, Mr. Blade, but—"

"All right, this is getting very confusing," Sapnap interrupted. "Who are you, and where the hell did you come from?"

The man who'd been addressed as Technoblade sighed. "Fine. I'm Techno, this is Mycroft, this is Phil, this is John." He pointed to each of his acquaintances as he said their names, though with a decidedly unenthusiastic expression on his face. "We're here to look for Wilbur Soot, TommyInnit, and also Sherlock and Greg."

"Why are you looking for Wilbur and Tommy?" Karl asked with a frown.

Phil grimaced. "I see they never mentioned us then. To put it simply, I'm their father."

Shocked silence.

"I know, they don't look anything alike," Techno whispered loudly. "Ugh, genetics."

"Okay…if he's Wilbur's dad, then who are the rest of you lot?"

"As Techno said, we two are here to look for Sherlock," John spoke up. "Oh, and Greg, I suppose," he added at Mycroft's glare. "Techno himself is Tommy's and Wilbur's brother, so he's coming along."

"Bruh, coming along? The blade doesn't come along—"

"So anyways," Phil said, "do you know where all of them are? Wil's been mentioning a place called 'Pogtopia' a lot, can you take us over there?"

Sapnap shook his head. "No."

"Excuse me?" Mycroft asked, affronted.

"We have a curfew," Karl explained. "Schlatt would not be happy if he saw us entering Pogtopia 12 hours before the war starts."

"Are you still living with your dad?" Techno asked sardonically.

Karl gave him a hard look. "No. We got annexed into his nation." He turned to everyone else. "We really can't take you there right now, but we'll do it in the morning, is that okay?"

Phil looked at everyone else for confirmation before nodding. "So can we crash at yours for tonight?"

Sapnap and Karl shared a long look. "Fine," Sapnap said after a while, his voice strained. "Though it might be a bit cramped."

"Brilliant!" Mycroft said with his nasty smile. "Hopefully we are not inconveniencing you too much by staying with you?"

Sapnap sighed and shook his head. How the fuck had his first date with Karl failed so spectacularly?

A/N: So in this chapter, Mycroft, John, and Emduo finally get into the DSMP. They use Kristin's portal and meet Sapnap and Karl; after some negotiation, the four new arrivals decide to stay in Sapnap's house for the night. Needless to say, Sapnap is not happy with the situation. :D
