Saving A Soul

Clover Kingdom, Common Realm, Kikka, Black Bulls Bace, Main Hall

In the vast main hall, the Squad members, each with unique pastimes, were on the edge of their seats, their hearts pounding with the thrill of Asta, Lily, and Noelle's first mission. The exhilaration was palpable, especially with the addition of three intriguing new members, heightening the dynamic atmosphere.

"Where do you think the captain might be right now?" Luck asked, glancing over at Asta, who was deeply engrossed in creating an alchemy formula.

Asta's mention of the Wizard King's summons sparked a tense exchange between him and Luck. The frustration in Luck's groan was palpable, its tone almost childlike. Despite Magna's futile attempts to diffuse the situation, the tension between the two men simmered, reaching a boiling point that culminated in a physical altercation. This intense conflict makes the readers feel the characters' emotions and reactions more deeply.

"And that's not to mention the people that Asta captured," Noelle said as Vanessa looked at her.

"What type of magic do these guys have," She asked them.

'One had Mist Magic, another had Water Magic, and the main guy had Ice Magic, but the others, their magic remains a mystery,' Lily informed Vanessa, her attention divided between the conversation and ensuring that Charmy did not indulge in too many sweets. This intriguing mystery of their magic adds a layer of curiosity for the readers, drawing them further into the story.

Who did not like that.

After a few hours, Yami returned with Finral, and Yami had a shit-eating grin as he walked in. "Well, do you four for the job in Sosshi Village? The Wizard king wants to grant the Black Bulls seventeen stars," he said as he held out a golden start.

"What are they for," Asta asked as Finral looked at him.

"They are to show our merit and skill along with the rank of our squad," He told the younger teen.

"Right so, so why were we awarded the seventeen stars," Liliy asked Yami.

"Well one was given to Magna for making sure that the village was safe, and you and Silva both got three, for keeping the village safe, the villagers safe, and making use of your magic in ways you did not before," Yami told them as Lily smiled at Noelle.

"And me," Asta asked as Yami smiled at his nephew.

"You got ten starts for everything that you did, along with bringing in the prisoners for questioning, and well, while I do not know what is happening, I do know they are still pulling information out of their heads," the man said before a portal like the one Finral used opened up in the hall, and a woman walked out of it.

"Now where to go," the woman said as she looked around before spotting Yami. "Big brother," she asked, and Yami nodded at her.

Three Days Later, Common Realm, Kikka, Market Sector

Asta, Lily, and Noelle were shown around the Market Sector by Vanessa.

"Here is where I heard someone who can get you a wand that will fit what you need," Vanessa told Noelle, who nodded with a small smile.

"So Asta, how much did you sent back to the cherch," Lily asked the boy.

"Well I got twenty thousand from the people we brought and ppay and so I sent ten back," Asta said as Lily nodded.

"I sent them half of my pay as well," She told him as they walked around the Market.

"Lord Asta, is it possible for you to see if you can find a weapon for you to flow us through while you're here?" Spirit of Wind asked Asta via the link they shared with him.

"Sure, what type of weapons suit," Asta asked them.

"As the wind, I need a weapon that will grant me freedom," He told Asta, who nodded.

He walked into a blacksmith shop and looked around at the weapons.

And after a tiny bit of searching, he found what he was looking for.

It was a bladed fan.

"I think that would work nicely," the Spirit of Wind told him as Asta picked it up and moved on to a pair of red gauntlets with green jewels that seemed to fit with the Spirit of Earth and Rain.

After he had paid, he went off to find the girls, but something caught his eye.

It was a green and yellow flag with a dragon in the middle, "Exuse me," Asta called to the merchant as the man walked over.

"Yes boy," He asked Asta.

"How much for that flag," Asta asked as he pointed to the flag with the dragon on it.

"12 yul," the merchant said, and Asta handedhanded the money over. "Alright, let me get it down for you," he told Asta as the green-eyed boy waited.

After a few seconds, he was given the flag. "Can I ask why you wanted that one?" the merchant asked him.

"It's were my family was from before Spade got to it," Asta said before he walked away.

He then met up with the girls while looking over the jewellery, but if anything could be said, a cry for help sounded off.

And running past them was a thief.

But as he reached Asta, the teen wrapped his arm around the thief's neck with his devil arm.

And threw him into the ground so hard that the pavement cracked from the force.

"Oh, thank you, deary, for saving my money," an old lady said as she approached them, and Lily handed over the money.

"And can you please go from the transformation?" Asta said as he looked at the old woman as the other members of the Black Bulls got ready.

"So you saw through me," The old woman said, but her voice was different and male.

Before she changed, she formed into a tall, middle-aged man with short, messy blond hair and purple eyes.

His attire consisted of a shirt and pants of similar colour and design. He had a white shirt with a high collar, black fur at the end, and intricate gold and purple-coloured designs on its circumference. The shirt's sleeves were long with light purple cuffs and similar black fur designs, and gold ring-shaped ornaments also decorated each sleeve's upper and lower parts.

He also wore a pair of brown pants complimented by a pair of high boots of similar colour, which have black fur at the collars.

Over his shoulder, she wore a long red robe that covered his entire body. The part of his robe which covers his torso is decorated with white fur. On top of the fur, he wears a gold necklace and a couple of medals. One of those medals, a gold medal with a green cross, is positioned on the left side of his chest, while the other, a shield with gold and red colours, is placed on his right side. A pair of robes protruded from the fur on his proper back. Furthermore, the robe only has a single sleeve for his right arm.

Vanessa stood straight and saluted the man as the other three followed her example. "Lord Novachrono," she said to him.

"Hello to you four, and it seems that I can say thank you three for what you did in person," the man said as he looked at Asta. Yami has spoken highly of you, Asta, and of your brother, and I have to say that I do indeed want to take out Spade, but I can not help but think something is stopping me," he said as Asta looked at him.

"Asta, he has two souls within him," Liebe told Asta as the devil looked at the man through his brother's eyes.

Asta's eyes shot wide as he moved a hand to his grimoire, "My brother has said that you hold two souls within you, do you mind if I scan you," He said as the man's eyes shot open with glee.

"Of course, yes, please," He said to Asta with an enthusiastic nod.

And so Asta held out his hand as his grimoire floated up and flipped through pages until it landed on the one he wanted, "True Spirit Magic: Soul Scan," Asta called out as a white aura formed out of Asta's hand and pushed onto the man.

While nothing showed, Asta found something: "I found the second soul, and it holds darkness within it. I can rid it for you, but it will give you a few weeks on bed rest," he told the man.

"Then as the Wizard King, I order you to rid me of this darkness," He told Asta, who nodded.

"Yes sir," Asta said as the grimoire flipped one page over, "True Spirit Magic: Grand Exorsisum," He called out as the white aura around the Wizard King moved into the man's body as a crowd of people started to gather around them with someone looking at the Wizard King with a sad look.

The aura teachers attached to Asta's hands turned black as the teen flexed his fingers and started to pull his arm back.

And out of the man was pulled someone who looked like the Wizard King but looked evil.

"So you pulled me out," the evil man said as he looked at Asta. Don't worry; I'll deal with you as I dealt with your mother and father, Asta Amerstris," the man said as Asta's eyes turned reptilian.

"Not with I'm done with you," Asta growled at the man before his body started to glow.

"It seems we'll speak another time as my new body is ready for my soul, but I'll face you," The man said as he looked at Asta before his soul zoomed off, and both Asta and the Wizard King fell to their knees.

"Thank you," The Wizard King told Asta, who smiled at him.

"It was my duty, sir," Asta told him before both fell unconscious.
